My first time having Cajun seafood :) Came to eat here with family and we loved it! The staffs and their customers service were polite and helpful. The food was worth the price and gave us generous amount of seasoned sauces. The food was delicious and we would come back again !!! 9/10 ✔️

Cajun Deli has the best sauces. I got the lemon pepper with garlic sauces. There will be garlic pieces in the sauce. The combination is good together. It's in a strip mall so there is parking. They employees are friendly and welcoming.

Very good flavor! Shrimp had good flavor, ordered spicy though and it could have used more to get to where I'd expect it to be for spicy, no matter great flavors and good crab. Will visit again.

I'll admit, I was skeptical when viewing the restaurant from the outside. But in inside was super clean, the staff was very friendly and the food was legit. I had the Crawfish boil and the softshell crab sandwich and both were really good. In hindsight, I think I'd rather have gone with the shrimp or crab legs though in the boil. The fries were also really good!

Best Cajun I had in MN. The flavor is rich. We had the sauce with two styles combined. Service is fast. They gave us good recommendations on how much to order. We didn’t try the sandwiches, but the Cajun seafood was very good! Seats are limited, but not much wait for a table.

The 1st time I tried was take out. I had crab and the the jumbo shrimp. The shrimp was extremely mushy and the sauce was like water not butter/oil. It took me 2 years to give them another try. When I tried them for the 2nd time I dined in and it was absolutely delicious. I had them a 3rd time for take out. I asked that they drain the water off the food and put my sauce to the side so it wouldn't be watery. They were stingy with the sauce. It was ok, much better than the 1st time but not the 2nd. This is a restaurant that you have to dine in or it's not as good. Whatever oil they use is extremely strong and the taste stays in the back of my throat for about 3 days. The best time is to go around lunch as it's small and hard to get a table around dinner time.

Cajun Deli is the only seafood boil place I go to. The quality is always excellent. The sauce is always rich and flavorful. I like to layer the sauce and garlic on top of white rice, it hits different! 😋 I always get the "house mix" seasoning and the medium spice level. I like getting a mix of: Peeled Shrimp Whole Shrimp Green Half Shell Mussles Craw Fish Jonah Crab Claws Snow Crab Legs I do prefer the whole shrimp over the peeled shrimp. The whole shrimp holds so much more flavor then the peeled shrimp. They do sell the claw crackers, if you need them for home use. They also offer bibs and gloves.

Always delicious!! I always get crab w/ shrimp and the house special sauce; spicy level 4. Comes out perfect every single time. I find that the sauce usually has some leftover to mop up with some rice or potatoes at home. I haven't had any of the sides.

This place is a awesome. It's a small jaunt for me coming from Richfield, but we'll worth it. Prices are good for what you get and the house sauce is fantastic. If you are a seafood fan, definitely check this place out.

We got the house mix sauce I think. It was very good. Not super oily like Captain Crab in BC. We asked for spicy and we definitely got spicy!! Love it!! Unlike Captain Crab when we asked for spicy there were no spice in it. Honest truth! But water was like 2-3 bucks…. Like what lol. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars. Oh and the place is quite small and doesn’t look as clean as other places. The girl waiter was very nice and welcoming. Overall I would still come again.

Spent about $135 for this tray and it was worth it. 2 lbs of crab legs, shrimp, mussel, and crawfish. Would definitely go again, just wish they had sausage.

Great food!!!! If you are looking for a real Cajun seafood experience in MN this place is it! Prices are very reasonable and the flavor and seasonings are true. The spicy house mix is ACTUALLY spicy (shocker for a MN restaurant). I ordered 2 lbs of crawfish and the catfish and the food was ready within 15 mins. The place was packed and the service was still very good. Only downside is that it’s not very spacious inside , and in the winter the cold wind blows in each time the door opens. Overall it was still a great experience. I highly recommend it.

I’ll preface this review by saying that I’ve only ordered one thing off this menu, and it’s probably the only thing I will ever order. It’s a perfect lunch: The fried shrimp and fries basket is simply the best you will find in Minnesota. The 12 shrimp are huge, butterflied, lightly battered and perfectly Cajun seasoned. The fries are similar and compliment wonderfully. And get an extra shrimp sauce, because it is a beautiful combination of tangy, spicy, savory, and sweet. Perfect for both shrimp and fries. You will be full, you will be satisfied, and you will come back.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I LOVE this place. Reasonably priced seafood that is amazing. I have been here multiple times and I'm never disappointed. Better than red lobster. I get the crab legs with the garlic butter and it is so good. They put so much garlic on it. Get the baby spice if you dont like spicy because the others are spicy. The only negative are the potatoes. They are nasty but I just make my own potatoes at home so it's okay.

The dining room and menu was small but my family and I were pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was! The sauce was perfectly salted and very flavorful. Spicy sauce was spicy, nose was runny and all (as it should). Will definitely come back.

Found this place on the fly. Being from Louisiana I know I can be really picky when it comes to a shrimp boil but the seasonings were spot on. We had them mix the butter garlic with the Louisiana style. Had some good heat and flavor. We had to purchase corn and potatoes to be added. Do it. Small eating area but for two it was ok.

They were super busy this past Mother’s Day but they still got our $200 order ready in time. We ordered crawfish, shrimp, mussel, and crabs. It was all super delicious. Try the house special sauce, you won’t regret it. Excellent food!

It use to be my hit spot for cajun seafood, however, the food are not as great as when they started. The portion are smaller, the seafood had a foul oder to it when eating and some are overcooked. I am very disappointed and will not return.

Very legit Cajun BBQ style and good service. Been here twice in the past week and got a friend catfish sandwich and an order of the by-the-pound Cajun BBQ, mussels and shrimp. Both were very tasty, and of you order the BBQ spicy, it comes pretty damn spicy (which I like)! The time I dined in, I had great service that was responsive and friendly. Really a gem in the twin cities!

As good as you can get for Cajun up north in MN, can't think of another Cajun restaurant that's currently in business in the Twin Cities area that has this level of food on the menu. It's a short menu but amazing flavor and preparation on the dishes. This place is always busy and always taking orders and dishing them out in record time. I'd go as far as to say they're constantly making things before they're ordered and then ordered and given to the customer upon ordering but fresh because they were literally boiled minutes earlier. Food was fresh, nothing dried out or sitting on a steam table and nothing was rubbery as you would find at a buffet of seafood at other restaurants. 11/10 Tip them, they deserve it!

I go to this place much too often for my own good. I usually get the peeled shrimp with their house mix in mild. I love the generous amount of garlic they cook with their food, making it super flavorful. I also like getting their fried catfish. Everything comes out hot fresh. You can eat at the place, but since there are limited seating most people do pick up orders. Also, they are generous with the amount of delicious fries and/or union rings for only $2!!!!! Hope you'll enjoy the food as much as I do.

Food was very tasty, reasonably priced for seafood. Service was decently fast considering they were rather busy. My recommendation is to call ahead and order takeout to reduce wait time. Spice level is rather accurate (aka medium is actually medium not MN medium)

Awesome service, fantastic food!! Best Cajun boil I've had since I was in Mississippi! The flavors pop and perfectly compliment the crab legs we had. Baby spice has a bit of a tingle to it, in true Cajun style, and spicy has a solid kick that makes my mouth water just thinking about it! This place just reinforces the fact that the best food is in the little hole in the wall spots you'd never see if you weren't specifically looking for them.

Our first time here, the service was fast and the cashiers were very friendly with helping me decide on how spicy to get things and what style to get them in. We ordered the boil for clam, crawfish, shrimp, and crab legs. Each one at it's own spicy level with the least being what my youngest can handle and I'll have to say they do pack on the heat but they were good. Note, however, there's a LOT of garlic.

Omg! This place! I MUST visit on EVERY trip to MNPLS! Their food quality is amazing! Lots of meat in the crab. Lobster tails as big as your hand! The variety of spices and options are wonderful. My friend and I went here because she had heard good things about it from another friend, it did not disappoint! I got the peeled shrimp with house seasoning, which I would definitely recommend. I got it in mild and it still had a kick to it so be aware of that with the level of spice you order. It's in a really small space in a strip mall so I would've never have thought to go here, but I will definitely be back!

Went there for the first time last week with a friend....well, I am allergic to shell fish so I thought I'd order the cast fish (I did check this place out before going there). When time to order, I was told they did not have any fried food...BUMMER ! Luckily, I am not allergic to clamps ! So order that...my friend ordered the crawfish. The base soup/flavor for both are the same, but we both loved it. Next time I got, I will probably order the same thing because I know how fried catfish tastes like. Will be back for sure....for the clamp only :)

I cant say enough about this place. It's so delicious. I was visiting Minneapolis and wanted to try something out of the ordinary. Did not disappoint. The service was good. As a newbie to cajun food, the server was so helpful. My family and I got several pounds of shrimp and crawfish with their delicious house mix and we were set to begin our heavenly food coma. Because the place is small, it was packed, so order in advance or to go, but definitely well worth it.

I was recently introduced to this place and wishing I would have known about it years ago. The shrimp is do delicious as well as the crab legs. Waited 20 minutes to sit, customer after another customer. Very busy. Lots of to go , too. House mix seasoning for seafood boil highly recommended. Crab craw, so hard to crack, crab leg, mediocre, head on shrimp is best! Next time I will go for just shrimp with house mix.

All I gotta say is WOW! Best seafood in the Midwest! I was a first timer there yesterday everyone keep telling me about how good it was, I was hesitant at first but damn I should have came sooner! I've eatin a lot of seafood in the past and I mean a lot, but this by far is the best I've had! The flavors to portion size was excellent. My coworker took me to this place with her mom last week, three days later I had to go back. The food is so amazingly good that I couldn't stay away. The food is seasoned with the perfect blend of seasonings and well priced. The staff is very friendly and ensures that you're happy. If I knew about this place when I first moved to MN, I'd have never given my money to Red Lobster. I always say no-one can cook crab like my mom but this place gives mom pretty stiff competition. I plan on taking my whole family when they visit. Give them a shot, you'll be just as addicted to their awesome food as I am.

Good seafood. We got back from Louisiana a couple weeks ago and I was craving some crawfish. These were great as was the catfish and shrimp. The heat scale is not Minnesota hot, it's genuine Cajun. Medium was plenty for me. Good balance of heat and flavor. This was our first visit, but not the last.

Good food. But I can't understand how they run out of simple things as rice so many different times. People that run the place are Asian and a lot of their customers are Asian, so it's common sense to always have rice available. Cooking rice is so damn easy.

I read the good reviews and decided to make the long haul to try out Cajun Deli. I was not disappointed! Great staff, clean place and amazing seafood. I am so happy to have found a good Louisiana Boil! They had everything too! Various kinds of crab, crawfish, shrimp, lobster, catfish and more! Spicy if you want it and a variety of spices available. The garlic butter was fantastic. I'll be back as soon as possible!

I get the boil with a pound of crab legs and peeled shrimp each with baby spice.... Its wonderful ... You cant see the ocean from Minnesota so we don't specialize in seafood but this is the best around. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU TRY. be patient too its worth it

We devoured our food, no pictures lol. We got the mussels with garlic butter sauce, fried soft shell crab, and fried shrimp. I could have ate all of the mussels mussels myself. Will definitely be going back for more mussels and to try other stuff.

Best cajun food in MN from what I've had. Reasonable prices especially if you go with 3 or more and split the tab. The fried ship are ridiculous for no reason. All the food is piping hot and the service is really friendly. I would say the small dine in space is a down side but it gives it an atmosphere like this is my little spot and theres a really diverse crowd every time white black asian Hispanic young old. Heard a lady say she came from st Paul. Overall you cant beat it.

We will not be returning, due to lack of value and the atmosphere. This is in a very dirty strip mall where patrons play loud nasty music out of their cars while swearing at each other as they peel and eat their shrimp, casting the tails all over the parking lot. Female customers strut in and out, wearing very little clothing. Completely inappropriate environment for kids. Food is as pictured - beautifully presented. Too much garlic for us. We appreciate the effort, but we will keep our memories of Cajun food in Louisiana. We left hungry still after spending $65, and will go to Red Lobster instead in the future when we want to spend that much on seafood. Beware the sign stating that parties of 5 or more get charged 20% extra. Unreal! And another sign states that if you leave and your order is wrong, too bad. No toilet paper in bathroom so we had to ask for more.

Awesome food, good prices. Awful, sketchy, 'ghetto' area. The outside smells like piss, weed, and trash. I've been there twice and have seen to fist fights in the parking lot. Inside is clean, from what I can see the kitchen is clean. This place cares about their food, and it tastes to prove it. A great little place in an awful area. Call ahead and pick up and go.

As much as I love the food, the staff is not welcoming. The other night I stopped off to pick up dinner for my mom and I and found a line out the door two hours before closing. The woman that was taking orders shouted out to everyone, we aren't taking any more orders we are closing. I was not too happy and neither we're the other people in line.

Yes! i was scared at first to try because i eat a LOT and thought a pound would b tiny. But i ordered 1lb crab legs and 1lb shrimp with a side of rice and it was enough to fill my huge self up lbs! Everything was delicious and fresh! My friend got fries and they were so good too! We got medium heat and it was nice not too hot like others say. It was no hotter then an average buffalo wing! If i lived closer i would be here too often! I WISH they would join Amazon Restaurants so i could get delivery!

They sell cooked seafood by the pound. It is f☆ckin delicious..no other way to put it. Clams, muscles, shrimp. Juicy and not overcooked. Very fresh and clean. No grit in the clams or muscles. I work at the Amazon center near by and we are all hooked..All the departments...you get pototaies and corn on the cob too..so yummy. Not for those with small budgets..but not too expensive either. Call of you want take out..it is always busy and you may wait but it is worth it. The only missing is bread. They also have fried catfish, fried soft shell crab, and fish sandwiches. Thye even have bibs. I got the garlic and butter. If you are in the area and like seafood, u should try it. I can taste it now..mmmmmm

The food here is just ok. Nothing special when you have eaten cajun food from down South in New Orleans or Houston or Orange County at Kickin Crab. For example, the fried catfish was dried/over cooked. The other boiled items like snow crab or crawfish are in oily sauce and the spiciness will over power the seafood so you don't know if it's fresh or not.
