Great atmosphere. Food was very tasty. We had the Margarita Pizza and cannelloni. We had some crostinis for appetizers. They came in a giant martini glass filled with toppings and the bread around the outside. Overall we had a great experience. Our server was prompt and very polite.

I was craving pizza today and my husband suggested Buca for pizza... never had it but I'm always willing to try something new! It was delivered quickly and still tasted fresh. The sauce was amazing, kind of a thicker tomato sauce. The cheese was the perfect amount, maybe not for my lactose intolerant husband but I sure enjoyed it We got a kids pasta and that was a generous sized portion- one large chicken and an adult sized portion of spaghetti and sauce. I would absolutely order their pizza again and never would have expected it to be so good there, given they're more famous for their pastas!

This was my first time at a place like this! I loved the atmosphere. It was a little busy for the time of day we went on a Sunday, so it took a little bit for our waiter to get to us, but he was apologetic and really kind! He answered all of our questions and had a great energy about him. The “small” entree fed myself and my boyfriend (and we didn’t even finish it all)! Worth the money. Definitely will be back if I have the chance.

AMAZING Food!!! Upon walking in you feel a very classic Italian restaurant vibe with decor to match.Christy our waiter welcomed us and pointed out some great tasting dishes. Quirky place in Mpls downtown, the waiter was very kind and friendly, only for him five stars! The food was... I don’t know how to describe it. I’m Italian, so I can say: here you don’t eat Italian. Significant quantities, low quality, high prices. The prosecco was of poor quality, but one glass was 13$. Meh... I don't think I‘ll come back.

Bucca’s is a cute underground spot with delicious entrées and deserts. Our waitress Christie (or Christy?) was very attentive and kind. We even went with her recommendation which was to get the Quatrro Al Forno which was the best of both worlds. It was essentially a good range of stuffed pastas and was exactly what we were expecting. A good staple for downtown Minneapolis.

We are regulars at Buca in Saint Paul. We haven’t been in a while but we came back tonight for the 1st time! We met a newer manager named Amanda tonight and she went above and beyond to give my Wife and I an amazing experience. We will be back and regulars again because of the management of Amanda. Linda and Kate were also very attentive and provided exceptional service and food!

The portions are MASSIVE! Me and my boyfriend didn’t know everything was family sized until we got the food Lolol. We had a looooot of leftovers. Atmosphere was cool and the decor was fun. Troy was our server. Totally excellent and great at his job.

This place is so cute and the photos hung around their restaurant tell a story of their own. With 35 people waiting with a reservation already made, all of the food came in quick succession. Fresh, hot, and styled beautifully. Thank you so much Buca Di Beppo. Keep up this awesome service!

Owner says it's authentic Itália but my taste buds beg to differ. Ordered the mozzarella and basil pizza. It's overpriced and the basil was cut in little slivers on every other piece. Picture tells all...

This is the only Buca di Beppo I’ve been to but boy is it awesome! I love Italian restaurants that feel like you’re dining in a hole-in-the-wall mafia hangout. For some reason they taste the best and this one doesn’t disappoint! Pasta is served family style so bring your family! The sauce and sausage are excellent, but they have a great menu that’s sure to please everyone. The wine menu is very good and the Tiramisu is huge…..and amazing!

Was very good Italian food. Friend and I had the spaghetti and meatballs. I also had Brussels which was pretty darn good. I loved the bread with the olive oil and balsamic. The portion sizes are huge! I wish I would’ve know about family style before I went but that’s not the restaurants fault. Was very good

We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. They provided us with great food and customer service! I ordered the house rose wine which was only $5 today. For appetizer, we got the buca trio platter. It was very delicious. Our main meal of Quattro Al Forno was also very good. The server came to check in on us periodically and came back to refill our waters on time. The food portions are large. It comes family style where you share it with 3-5 people. The “small” is enough to feed three people, which is what we ordered. I really enjoyed their chocolate cake.

Came here for dinner and had the baked ziti with garlic bread. Food was delicious and hot! The serving size (small) fed three people but if you’re hungry enough two people could finish it as well. We had plenty bread leftover. The waitress was amazing and super friendly! She was also very attentive and did a good job of making conversation. Will definitely come back here in the future!

The manager, Lamin, was so kind and accommodating! We didn’t have a reservation, there were 7 of us and we were running the twin cities marathon the next morning. I asked if he could recommend a place near by since they were booked….he said wait here and he cleared 2 tables and said come and sit down! So very nice to squeeze us in. I tried to tip him and he said “no, I’m just doing my job”. Our waitress Gigi was lovely as well. Such a great experience! The food, atmosphere, and staff were amazing!!!

This place is off the hook!!! Reminds me of Minnesota own version of the bar “Cheers”. The family and friendly environment is world class. The staff is amazing from the host to the dish washers. They have a system and it’s so much fun to watch. The hard working staff is great! The portions are huge for the price and we’ll worth it. Definitely a Minneapolis staple.

The food was a straight 10/10. Worth the price, and the drive. The brussel sprouts and the chocolate cake were especially delicious. Definitely will be going again, so much fun. I wish I could remember the waitresses name, but she was so awesome! Great service and she had the best sense or humor 😀

Family style Italian, means all the main dishes feed 3-5 people and are around $40. I would definitely recommend this place for a group. The mozzarella appetizer is good, the pasta was delicious, and there was a nice wine selection.

Just got home after a very long day at work and expected to quickly pick up my food. Unfortunately, my food was given away. I understand mistakes happen, however, I did not even receive an apology. I was told that I (the person who did not make the mistake) had to reorder through DoorDash in order for them to remake my food. They knew my order and watched me reorder but took no initiative to remake the food while I reordered. Once I did, they told me it would take 7 minutes. I was there for another 20 minutes. What should’ve been a less than a 5 minute ordeal took a little over half an hour. Customer service was truly non existent. A careless employee didn’t take the time to read the name on an order, and they took no responsibility for it. The food is fine as usual but I’d recommend going to the other locations.

We were there early on a Sunday, but there was only 1 other group eating. It was weird to be in that place when it was a ghost town. Upon entering there is a strong smell of seafood. We even think the garlic bread (we're guessing was toasted on the same griddle as the seafood) had a hint of seafood flavor. That's not really what either of us were going for. Kids spaghetti, with picky kids, didn't like it at all. My kids are used to Prego. The sauce tastes too much like tomatoes. They didn't eat much of their meal. My kids would be fine never going back. They didn't have a great experience. I would think twice about what company I was in.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Authentic vibes and immaculate service. I’m writing this review as I enjoy my stuffed shells pasta dish! My hotel recommended this place and I’m so glad they did. 10/10. If you want Italian food in Downtown Minneapolis this is the place to be. Shoutout to my wonderful server GiGi! She was amazing and so sweet! Will be back for sure!

Pretty chill old school city restaurant vibes. I loved all the throwback pictures...sort of reminds me of NY and definitely Italy. The food was pretty good for the most part. I would eat here again. Large portions for family or group style eating so make sure you ask questions about what you order. I thought it was a bit weird how the menu prices were off but maybe it’s due to the current times. They also did a pretty good job with the whole social distancing thing. I hope I do t have to remind the waitress about the bread next time around cause authentic Italian restaurants always have some free bread... at least in Italy they usually do!

Its a very decent place for authentic pasta and delicious pizza. They have decent vegetarian options as well. The spicy chicken rigatoni is my personal favorite and a must try! This restaurant also have very good birthday celebration thing, they sing and do a nice little clap music. One thing is that their portion sizes are all huge! so make sure you have a company, because if there is only one person dining then you’ll have a lot of leftover. Overall its a nice place for food at a decent price.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! We dined at the location in the Excalibur hotel in Las Vegas. The restaurant has a relaxed, casual ambiance, and we were seated beside the window, so we could people watch as groups of tourists strolled past our table. After my first look at the menu, I thought the prices were a bit high, but the waitresd explained that the pastas would be served in communal bowls and that each bowl would easily serve 3 people. She was right; we had more food than we could eat and everything was delicious! We also ordered a garlic loaf that easily fed 4 people. (Warning - the arrabiata pasta really IS spicy) I definitly recommend you try this restaurant if you are in Las Vegas!

From the moment we walked in the experience was reminiscent of an old school authentic Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was extremely lively on Christmas Eve and the restaurant was packed. With the dishes coming in small or large, we were told a small would feed 3-4 easily. It fed our party of 4 with food to spare. We ordered 1 meatball, lasagna, a ceasar salad, garlic bread, and chicken parmigiana. We had plenty left over as stated before. My daughter had to unbutton her jeans even (she will be embarrassed that I added this fact). Then the men in the group split a piece of cheesecake and though my husband is not a big dessert eater, he raved about the cheesecake. Whenever we are in Minneapolis we will be visiting Buca di Beppo.

I know it's a chain but we enjoyed both our visits here! I love that they require masks to enter or pick up to go. I feel safe here and the food is amazing! Service is always friendly and energetic. Throughout my years I've been to Buca more times than I can count but at this location only twice. We ordered spicy sausage and peppers, the apple salad, some chicken pasta and the salmon dish. Omg! Each dish had us all eyes wide open and muffled songs of mmmm mmm mmmm coming from our table. They knocked it out of the park. I will try to get our servers name the next time we go because she was exceptional. I am loyal to my barbers, restaurants and servers. You treat us right and we keep coming back. Not to mention we tip well 😉. Update: We are here again and we have the same server and her name is Jayme! She is awesome as always! Besides the food she makes a great experience into an extraordinary experience! Much appreciated! Thanks Jayme!

You will NOT find a better Italian food establishment anywhere, period. This is by far the best place I have ever eaten at. Christy was our server and local expert/historian for the restaurant. She did an outstanding job of filling us in on all history of the business, celebrities that stop in for food, and did a great job on helping us decide which menu items to order that would take care of our desires for this first visit. First time visiting. Nice staff. Food is pricey, can’t get anything individually. Got a small because it allegedly feeds 3(more like 2,if even that). The lasagna was decent, the house bread with olive oil was good, but the Colossal Brownie Sundae won me over! It was better than the lasagna!! If I come back it’ll be for the sundae or chocolate cake!

An interesting place with an Italian spin. The place is pretty dark and there’s a heavy garlic fog hanging in there. Very nice staff that’s quick to help. The actual food less then stellar. Not bad, but not great either. The portion sizes are enough to fill you up though.

Absolutely wonderful experience at the Minneapolis location. Came last night with a group of girls. We had the buca trio appetizer, chopped antipasti salad (PHENOMENAL!!!), along with the Quattro Al Forno and baked rigatoni!! Portions were incredible, size-wise and taste. We had lots of leftovers to take home between the four of us. Gigi, our server was so amazing. Very knowledgeable and respectful. Awesome job. If you get her as your server tip her well!!

Buca is super fun and the staff are friendly and the service is excellent. My husband and I went here for dinner. It was a nostalgic visit since we used to make Buca a regular stop after our son’s music recitals when MacPhail was down the street. The family style menu worked great for our family of 3. With just the 2 of us, it was a lot of food. We took a doggie bag home. The chicken parm is very tasty, as is the spaghetti marinara. The plain green salad is so good. Small family-style portions feed 3 persons, so we had a lot of food. We made reservations online and I’m glad we did. There was a waiting line out the door.

Second time eating at Buca di Beppo (here and in Seattle) and it was equally fantastic both times! Food quality, quantity, service staff were top tier, and it was incredibly awesome to see the consistency in decor across locations - I love the old timey photos, and am fascinated by all the history and stories that each one represents. I'll eat here again, and at Seattle's Buca... And I'll be on the lookout for more locations whenever I travel. You've earned a patron :) P.S. The margarite pizza was to die for, and the bread sticks were AMAZING 😍

While visiting from out of town we happened upon this cozy, bright space in a basement with laughter streaming out of the dining area. It's family style so be careful when ordering. We had antipasti salad and chicken carbinara which was served hot and fresh with perfectly cooked al dente pasta. The service and food quality were exceptional.

OMG!! I haven't been here for years!! My mom and I went out for lunch on a lazy Friday. We decided on Italian and Buca was easy to get to. It's near downtown without being in the craziness! When we walked in (this location is a in a basement), the atmosphere was casual, cool and cozy. The walls were covered with photos from many different eras. We were greeted by a server named Troy. Troy informed us that we were standing in the original Buca. He continued to offer great information and anecdotes throughout our meal. He advised us on different food items he thought was great in the menu, even letting us know which dishes microwaved well. We ordered the Apple and Gorgonzola salad, the Mozzarella bread, the Baked Ziti and the Tiramisu. The food was outstandingly delicious and filling. The portions are more than generous. We think Troy was the best part. He was so informative and charming during the whole visit. Thank you!!

We arrived at Buca around noon on a Saturday. Even with a Twins game and a performance at the Orpheum both scheduled for the afternoon, we had no problem getting a table on the rooftop terrace without a reservation. Although the entrees are on the pricey side, I can definitely recommend. The Mediterranean Salmon Salad was phenomenal! It easily makes my Top 5 Salads of All Times list!!

What a perfect place to spend Christmas with a good friend. The food was absolutely perfect we had lasagna with garlic bread. The staff was in tune with the crowd a steeple there for Christmas. The environment at buccas is top-shelf, not white tablecloths, but as fine a dining experience as you can get.

Catered a corporate group last week and ordered this for lunch. Kinda pricey for what you get. I miss the old marsala recipe with the half mushrooms. This marsala sauce is too dark/rich. The salmon was a hit. No butter with the bread. Wish the bread was sliced. Online ordering was a plus.

We are at Bucha today and had their delicious anti pasta salad and their scrumptuous spaghetti and meatballs. The ambiance at this restaurant is fantastic. Quaint and great pictures and sayings on the walls. Our waitresses were fabulous. Mary greeted us and introduced their menu to us. Jamie subsequently waited on us. They were wonderful and the service couldn't have been better.

Very filling portions, which helps make the prices more justified, however still quite expensive. The first pizza we had was burned, but still tasted good. We asked to have it remade and our waitress was very understanding and helpful. The second pizza came out perfect! The waitress was attentive and personable. Pre-ordered the valentine lasagna dinner 2 hours before our scheduled pickup. I would have thought the dinner would be piping hot but upon opening, it was still cold in the middle. It took another 45 mins to heat up. We finished our salad and a bottle of wine but would have been nice to know we had to heat it up before placing the order.

This place is great for a large group. It is expensive but so worth it. The Chicken Parmigiana was amazing. The Spicy shrimp pasta was extremely delicious, and the garlic cheese bread was spot on. I had 25 people and for a wedding party and our original venue was canceled at the last minute because of covid we called this restaurant and spoke to one of their managers Lamin. Even though there were they were extremely busy he put me on hold and came back and was able to accommodate. He gave us our own room and met our needs in every way. And not only that the food was incredible. Some of the best Italian food I've had in a long time. I would highly rate this restaurant and if I lived here I would be a regular for sure.

We ordered recently for me and and my two partners. The food was pretty good, we were just a bit disappointed they didn’t have more individual sized meals when ordering to go. Each one of us wanted something different, and the smallest portion was about a 3 person serving size. With delivery and tip I spent about $200 for one meal which, with the amount of food we got was pretty decent, but just a bit yikes and something I wouldn’t do again unless everyone wanted the same thing.

Been here many times and it is a favorite of ours. This time we tried the meatball appetizer that is smothered with sauce and served with bread, and it was amazing. I've never had meatballs that were so tender. Seems as if they use a really good cut of meat to make them. Fun place to go for date night or with a large group. However, make sure you make a reservation to ensure you get a table.

I have to admit. I am heartbroken! I haven't been able to get to Buca in years but that tiramisu has always been calling to me. It WAS easily THE BEST in town.! My mom always thought so too. So I decided to surprise her and bring some over. First off...I am not really surprised the price had gone up But twice the cost and a smaller portion? Ouch. But that's no big deal. That is the way of things these days. No, what broke my heart? They changed Vitorio Renda's family recipe! THIS is not the delightfully boozy tiramisu I remember. Its fine. It is ok. Tastes like anyones else's. NOT like the Buca I remember.. My favorite dessert is now but a memory. Maybe...it was an off day and someone new prepped tiramisu and forgot the rum? Or, is this it? The best we can hope for? I'm sorry, it wasn't bad. It was just no longer GREAT!

The food was great as it always is, and the service was attentive, fast, and friendly. It was a little awkward to be seated at a 6 top. We had reservations we put in at the start of the week for 2 people, and we were seated at a table for 6. With the number of other couples also seated like that, it felt somewhat odd, but we got over it. It is known for family-style serving, so it wasn't too large of a surprise - just a little odd that there weren't tables available for couples considering the number of other couples also visiting that night. At any rate: good food, good service, great location. Worth a visit - especially if you have a group.

Very cool Italian restaurant with plenty of Italian charm. It feels as if you’ve walked into a place that’s the local favorite among the wise guys in New York in the 50’s. It’s very family friendly and the portions are very generous. We had the eggplant parm (portion for 3) and it had six large slices of fried eggplant - more than enough for us. It was DELICIOUS. We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread and got a side of marinara to dip it in. Our kids ordered off the kids menu rather than have what we did. The kids pizza is a decent portion but the spaghetti and meatball is mammoth (it could easily be split up for two kids). The service was awesome and everything tasted great. If I didn’t know better, I’d guess Marcella Hazan was in the back cooking up her signature flavors. We had a very enjoyable experience and will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

I really enjoyed this place it definitely is a place ment to share with others! When they say family style they mean it. They do not mess around with their huge portion sizes. We went to celebrate a birthday and the free HUGE Ice cream Sunday was amazing! we could not finish it especially with all the other great food we had! Loved it and would recommend trying out. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 was because the prices were a little high. Even with the big portions the prices got me from saying it's a 5/5 but other than that it was a great experience!

Nice Italian cooking, with an awesome atmosphere. The environment is great with tons of unique pictures that involve the restaurant chain as well as classic pictures with a quirky point of view. Can't say too much for the restaurant experience as most of what I have done is utilized their catering/to go cooking. Great pasta and other such large pasta combination dishes. Also nice salads with Italian seasonings.

If you’re anywhere near here you must stop and eat here! It’s the best Italian in nice large family style eating. I love the chicken Alfredo as well as...well everything on the menu. The drinks are great. It can get a little busy on some days but it’s worth the wait. Don’t wear tight pants! If it has a negative it’s the parking, which is pretty much gonna be a problem anywhere.

This rating is only so high because the food is amazing. The experience with staff is off and on. I have gone to this Buca’s dozens of times and it is my favorite location. My big problem is that they have raised their prices drastically recently, removed the create your own option, and will not except some gift card payment if you use a coupon!!! I have incredibly fond memories of this place and could not bring myself to leave a lower rating. This is a great place but it is not worth the new raised price. Don’t get me wrong, the food is great and it’s a nice atmosphere- the problem is it’s not 18$ a person great for a portion of a shared plate.

12 in our party at 6pm on a Saturday evening. There was a little bit of a wait for drinks from the bar. Katie was our waitress. She did a pretty good job keeping track of what we needed considering the large group. We were able to be seated in one of the rooms farther in which was nice. It was a little quieter there so we could hear each other. Food was good. We had the chicken carbonara, spaghetti with meatballs, ravioli with meat sauce and cheese manicotti. Enjoyed the time with friends (and no dishes to wash).

This was my first time at Buca's. It was a very delightful experience. The staff assisting us were entertaining and handled the large group we were celebrating with effortlessly. The food was amazingly delicious and offered a good range of flavor for single dishes that other similar restaurants have created blandly. It definitely felt like eating with family. While a little crowded it actually added to the experience. Sadly the dessert fell just a little short for being a little dry. Otherwise a perfect night!

This restaurant has never disappointed me or my wife. We are regular eaters here and they know how to woo their customers by sending gift cards on a regular basis (sign up for their newsletter if you would like to enjoy the freebies too). They serve in large bowls even for a table of two and the Rigatoni pastas they serve are one of the best you would find in the Twin cities. If you are a spice lover, ask for their signature 'Add-on'. This place has limited desserts option but makes a good lunch/dinner place.

Comfortable Italian family food. It's a great location with very hard to find parking. If you are downtown this is the easy family restaurant. It can get a bit pricey though so find a few favorite dishes and get the family to agree... Well that probably won't work so get ready to spend some dough and take home huge left overs. I was looking for somewhere to have a dinner for a bachelorette party for my sister, and I called two different Olive Gardens, both of which were pretty rude over the phone and would not give me a definitive answer as to whether or not they would have room for us at the time I was requesting. I then called Buca di Beppo and right away they were very friendly and made sure there would be space for us. Their food was amazing along with the excellent customer service! We also had to rush out to make our next event for the night, and they were very accommodating with bringing us the bill right away and packing up all of our leftovers quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and wonderful service!

Great food and open on holidays like Christmas Day - just make sure you call ahead. Despite putting in an order the day before they were running about 30 minutes behind schedule, but that didn't bother us much. The family style platters are delicious whether you're ordering out for a group or sitting at the bar with two. Good wine selection too. Plus, it serves as a great family bonding exercise as you try to agree on what to order!

It was a very nice experience at Buca di Beppo with all the items being on the money. I liked the first starter (Buca Trio Platter i think which had bit of calamari, spicy shrimp, onion rings) the most. It has large portions so please order wisely or else you'll end up asking them to pack food in the end. Still per person including drinks and gratuity one can expect around $28 or so..

Don't get me wrong, I love(d) Buca. But for a couple, it simply is getting too expensive. My wife and I would go here in the past, order two different "small" dishes, and have leftovers for another meal for <$40. We'd go here maybe once a month. That same meal now will cost you >$80 if you leave a decent tip. For >$80, I'll go to a much nicer restaurant. Sorry Buca, but you lost a customer.

Fun to come to the original Buca! It was more expensive than the one I went to in Milwaukee, which was surprising and put me off a bit. We got the Bianca pizza, which we love, and we did the one meant for 5 people, which was $30 ($40 after tax), and was split between 2 people. We finished half the pizza and took home half. Not sure it would truly feed 5 people unless they bought other stuff. Wish it were cheaper for the amount of food. Waitress was great though and the pizza was delicious :)

Great place for celebrations or large parties because of the family style offerings but I thought the food was only ok. Italian to me has more robust flavors and spices. Maybe it's just what we ordered but between 6 of us no one was overly impressed. I mean it was good just nothing I'd crave more of. Service was ok, waters and drinks were consistently empty but the server was pleasant.

You get what you pay for — and they make you pay for a lot. If you’ve never been to a Buca di Beppo, they only do gigantic portions, meant to be shared among 4 or more people. (They say 3 for the small portions, but that’s absurd.) The food is good, basic American-Italian comfort food. Nothing flashy, nothing delicate, nothing to raise the eyebrows. Just lots of heavy, flavorful, predictable fare. And there are times when that’s exactly what you want. The space for this location is pretty charming — below street level, with lots of great brick. The bar area is wonderful and I always wish I’d planned time to hang out there for a drink or something. However, every Buca di Beppo always feels rather chaotic and haphazard in terms of service — perhaps the result of mostly catering to large groups? — and this one is no better on that score. So at least half the time, I end up vaguely frustrated by my visit. For example, this past week I place a to-go order. They said it would be ready in about 15–20 minutes. I gave it more like 25–30, thinking I could get in and out without having to pay for parking. Fah. Although they wouldn’t admit to it, I don’t think they’d put the order in yet when I got there. The hostess went to look for my order, and then was gone for a looooong time. I could see much frantic computer tapping and hushed discussion over in the prep station, and then the manager joined her too. He saw me watching, and came over to distract me with a long and unnecessary discussion about coupons. Altogether, they endeavored to distract me with sleight of hand for about 20 minutes — and then, out came a distinctly fresh, hot bag of food. Well it was good if not awesome, so that part was fine. But that sort of mildly annoying hassle just seems to happen a lot more often at this chain. I’m sure I’ll eat there again — but it’s a solid 3-star experience all around.

I had an excellent experience at Buca! A great place to SHARE food. When I came in, my date and I had a reservation. We were quickly seated and we given almost immediate attention. The menus are quite easy to navigate. They have a drinks menu, entree and appetizers menu, and a dessert menu. All with a good flow and look. Our waiter, a man I forgot the name of, gave us excellent service. Our appetizers came promptly. I ordered a calamari appetizer and the spicy rigatoni chicken. The calamari— was good for calamari, but that was more for my date I was sharing with. But the chicken rigatoni was excellent. The chicken pieces were perfectly spicy and the sauce it was all in was deliscus. Though the pasta was lacking (because it didn’t taste special) the sauce was really well done. I also did not like the small green peas. The contrast of colors was a bit off putting but that’s more of a presentation problem. They also serve complimentary free bread (sorta like Olive Garden). This place has a very unique approach to food. Everything is meant to share. So unless you can eat 2-3 people’s worth of food, it’s not the smartest choice to go alone. My experience here was pretty unforgettable. One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. WOULD DEFINITELY EAT HERE AGAIN (with someone)!

I came here during Furry Migration to have some enjoyable time with my significant other, suffice to say, I was impressed. The music was centered around golden oldies, and I enjoyed singing along with some of the songs that where playing. The staff was wonderfully attentive, I signed up for their e-rewards program and had some delicious rigatoni dinner with a gelato dessert that was quite fantastic. I would highly recommend if you're looking for authentic Italian food, a nice atmosphere and money saved up for the night.

I ordered our meal through Bite Squad to have delivered to the hospital where my daughter just had surgery. Her favorite meal ever is plain noodles and chicken. I ordered sauce on the side, but received noodles with butter or oil with a ton of garlic on it! She can't eat that and I found it to be gross. The sauce was good, but the noodles were so bad, they went into the garbage. I have been ordering it the same way for 19 years. So sad my daughter has to order noodles from the cafeteria after spending a ton of money...

Reserved a table for 2 at 7:00, requesting "Something romantic (private).. It is our anniversary!". Arrived at 7, not seated until 7:20, even though the restaurant was not busy! When we were seated, it was in the middle of the room, with a view of the extra plates and linens, and in the middle of the aisle that the servers push through regularly. Table was also unstable. Not so romantic! We saw another couple come in 5 minutes after us and get a booth with ambient lighting in the corner. I guess they made a special reservation. Our bottle of wine took extra long because the "bartender was backed up" (strange, I could see her from the table). The waitress also brought us our ticket without the coupon applied, then had her manager fix it, and I had to remind them to return my debit card. Kind of lame for a 70$ ticket!

This is a nice little gem on the outskirts of downtown. Located near the “Lunds & Byerleys”, you will have to take the stairs down into the restaurant. Almost like your going to walk into a lower level or basement. I came here with a group, so we decide to get the family portions to share. This was a great idea for groups, that way you can have a little more than just one plate.

I get take out from here, quite frequently, in the last couple of months, I have ate at other Buca's in St Paul, Maple Grove and Eden Prairie, in the past, but I am a local. A very picky specific to the last detail but polite orderer. I'm not big on crowds, so it's better to get my food to go, last few times, they've really rocked my very specific specialized order of ziti with extra ricotta, spinach, mushrooms, chicken and shrimp. The only downside to them getting my order finally right, is that they ruined all other italian restaurants like OSF and OG for me. But the service even with take out is good and friendly and their ziti with my adding stuff to it, is phenomenal. They also have an excellent email/loyalty club....

The food was underseasoned, and the service was as bad as I've ever experienced. Restaurant was pretty empty, and we had a reservation, but were not seated until 20 minutes after our reservation time. Waitress did not show up at our table until 10 minutes after we sat down, first course did not come out until 45 minutes after we were seated, even though we ordered right away. Drinks did not come out until 30 minutes after seating. Asked for straws 3 times, only to receive them toward the end of our meal. Food did not come out together. One plate was brough out, then the other 5-7 minutes later, and the last one only came out 10-15 minutes after the first, and after we reminded our waitress about it. Not sure if they were understaffed, incompetent, or prejudiced against our group. Completely unacceptable.

I am a frequent Buca customer, and have shared many birthday dinners with family and friends at this location, as well as brought several student groups. I have always had a great experience. However, I recently took a group of 14 high school students to Buca at 5:00 on a Monday evening. We had reservations, as did many other groups, and I assumed they would welcome this business on a day/time that is otherwise slow, and prepare accordingly. To my surprise, the staff was neither welcoming or prepared. I was excited to take advantage of their new "Macaroni Monday" promotion, which immediately caused our already mediocre server to give us attitude and inform us how small the portions were...she was so visibly upset that I dare take advantage of a promotion that she was literally shaking with anger. She marched into the kitchen and returned with the dish the macaroni comes in to show us just how small it was. Ok. On top of it, the manager also visited our table to discuss the promotion, and turns out they didn't even know how their own promotion worked, and then proceeded to act like they were doing us a favor to "ALLOW" us to use it. Had I not been with a group of students, I would've left and gone elsewhere, but thought it would be a great lesson on "hospitality management" for my marketing students. The rest of the experience went like this 1. Server finally brings our drinks and SLAMS them on the table, splashing my soda on the table 2. We give up on using the promotion and order several large dishes 3. Our food is served - it is good 4. We get our bill and pay (including the obligatory 18% $50 tip for such a wonderful experience) 5. We get our bill again, this time with more stuff added that she forgot the first time, and pay AGAIN. It was a huge disappointed to be treated with such disrespect and contempt simply because I was with a group of high school students, helping to boom Buca's Monday night business, as opposed with a group of adults. You should be ashamed Buca. I will not be returning.

Buca di Beppo is an excellent Italian food chain restaurant for a dedicated foodie. My absolute favorite dish is Chicken Parmigiana with Fettuccine Alfredo and Garlic bread. It is a large meal so I would recommend to bring half of it back home in a doggie bag.

We’ve ordered from here on more than one occasion including dining in on my birthday! We only order the chicken carbonara with peas and the antipasti and it never disappoints! We love how rich and creamy the chicken carbonara is and how fresh tasting the salad is! I would definitely recommend coming here and ordering the chicken carbonara if you’re not on a diet. When you come inside you’ll notice all of the pictures with celebrities that have been there and you will feel the old school vibes and nostalgia when dining in here. I don’t think there are any vegetarian or gluten free options but otherwise it’s a great place to eat! Here is a photo on my birthday awhile ago!

For what you get, this place is not expensive at all! Everything I have ever tried, even the stuff I just KNEW I wouldn't like, to the things that scared me a little, have been so good if not GREAT! I have always been eiffy about chain Italian restaurants, but this surprised me with its well prepared salad as well as the decent pasta dish they served. I will give it another try when I am in town next time.
