Reviews of Blue Water Grill
Food was ok.. was a bit pricey and didn't justify the price. I've had great chicken at the same price but it's a hotel and I should just have had the burger. The soup was pretty good. The service was pretty good. Bar tender talked to everyone. Environment was ok.
Breakfast here was a pleasant experience. Our waitperson was attentive, I was able to get a non-dairy option for my coffee and was able to sub the egg and cheese on the avocado toast for hashbrowns with no upcharge.
Weren't sure what to order from their current limited menu, but we sure picked right! Ordered the steak tips with horseradish sour cream with fries and it is delicious. Perfectly medium rare. Fries are hot. Recommend! So nice not too have to drive.
I visited Minneapolis for a conference and this was the only place to eat in the hotel. They have vegetarian options but not vegan ones. The first night I ordered the caprese and an old fashioned. The caprese was disappointing to say the least. It's a $14 dish and all I got was maybe half of a sliced tomato, half of a sliced mozzarella ball, 6 whole basil leaves and a balsamic drizzle. It was poorly put together too. The old fashioned was very non-traditional. It tasted fine but was very small and they charged $16 for it. Needless to say I spent $40 and left the table hungry and very unsatisfied. The people I dined with had a steak and a pork chop and their meals were much better than mine. We also had the brownie sundae which was very small for the $8 they charged but quite good. The second time, I went for lunch and ordered the grain bowl. That was a much better experience. Larger portion, very filling, and quite tasty. I will say the wait staff is friendly and works very hard but the food is expensive for what you get.
The smashed-patty burger was fabulous. Two patties of perfectly-caramelized beef easily beat one big patty.
The fries that came with it tasted like they'd been fried in the same basket as fish/seafood, which I don't like the taste of, but the burger and the top-notch service more than made up for it.
The food was delicious, especially the chicken and rice soup. It was a nice quiet Sunday evening. The service was amazing.
A beautiful view, great service, amazing seafood, and island-famous desserts. Did we like it there? We went there three times in nine days!
The blue water grill was the best part of our stay in MN. Even with no lunch service, the breakfast/dinner menu (although limited) was very good.
The servers were fantastic, and worked hard to make things good for us.
Good food, great service. Decent prices.
Walleye Eggs Benedict, grilled tomatoes & fruit cups amazing! Excellent service
Service during Covid19 is accommodating. The wait staff did a remarkable job with the influx of people and everyone got seated and ate.
The food was good and portioned. I forgot my daughters gift on the table and the waitress ensured it was returned to me. I did not get her name but she had short hair and an accent. She was very pleasant and made sure we were taken care of.
It's pretty rare that you can go out to eat and EVERYTHING is AMAZING! We had a table of four and everyone was saying how wonderful their food was. The chicken wings are perfectly crispy. The Lobster Pie was delightful! The steak salad was perfect! Even the Cesar Salad was scrumptious. Honestly, its all we could talk about on the way home, and how soon we can go back and eat there again! It's that good, SERIOUSLY! Go, and you'll see what I mean. Hats off to the chef. New favorite!
Hilton is changing the restaurant here and revamped the menu. This meal was fantastic compared to previous. The new menu is current and delicious! Check It out!!
The Food was really good. Loved the stake salad had dinner there twice. Staff is very attentive and friendly. I had breakfast almost every day of my stay. Megan was very attentive and accommodating to my diet restrictions. Really good experience.
The food was really good and the staff was extremely friendly, but it was slightly disappointing that they aren't open for lunch on weekends.
Breakfast at this "hold you hostage Hilton Hotel" is better than many. The buffet has lox and smoked salmon. If you don't mind foregoing scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon you can save a few dollars and still have a nice variety for breakfast. Don't expect great service though. As usual, it's like they don't have enough time to serve you. It's good if you have extra time and want to read the paper and drink all the coffee the bring you in the carafe.
Great option for quality food near airport. Clam chowder and strawberry salad were both excellent, and large portions for reasonable price. Lots of seafood, but also standard American fare, like sandwiches and fries.
2 different waiters have forgotten at least 1 part of the food I had ordered.
Hotel bar/restaurant. Food selection was limited, quality was good but not great, drinks were kind of overpriced... but its a captive market so its about what you would expect from a hotel bar restaurant.
Great service and incredible food for a hotel restaurant. They have a Chef that loves to feature fresh, in season, ingredients and created a very well diverse menu of options. Stop in for a meal if you live in the local area, it's delicious!
There was hardly anyone there. Because of Halloween, two people called in sick. I ordered the Bacon chesseburger, my husband, the salad, and we waited over 30 minutes for it. Waiter kept coming over to apologize profusely and offered us a bowl of soup while we waited. Then I received my burger and it was so "crispy" and charred on the outside and not the way I ordered on the inside. By this point, it was easier not to complain. I'll bet the chef was one who called in sick. I can't imagine a restaurant with a 4 star rating 1st, taking so long to produce a burger when there were only 4 others in there and 2nd, to produce a burger that almost qualified as a hockey puck. The waiter WAS trying to make it better.
Located inside the Hilton. The service was fabulous! The food was delicious. Menu was extremely limited and not what was depicted online.
Will is a great, awesome Walleye, great beverage selection!
Very nice waitress (Ginny). Only 4 stars because it is a very limited menu now due to staff shortage.
Had a great time here. It's a little pricy compared to places right downtown, but the food is great. The staff were friendly.
Went to catch a nice breakfast. Service was cheerful and witty! Food was geeat. Will continue to revisit this restaurant!
Great and friendly service. Food was great and affordable. Clean environment
Limited but very good breakfast menu. Excellent Wait staff. Nice surrounding and atmosphere.
Maybe the best fries ever. Alright sandwich and excellent dessert.
Friendly service with reasonable prices. The Walleye fish sandwich was off the chain.
