They don’t mess around with the Flamin’ Hot Curds 🔥 So hot, but you keep going back for more! The Stacked N Loaded is so flavorful! There was even some pink in the burger, which is unusual but welcomed in a juicy Lucy! Definitely a different feel with the online ordering in restaurant rather than table service, but it was speedy and the service from the dining room staff was still friendly as always!

Went to the blue pub for lunch today to try something different. Absolutely love the atmosphere music and the friendly staff! The beer selection was wonderful and the wings were absolutely delicious! We tried the bacon blue burger which was very flavorful and hand cut fries are to die for!! Thank you for a wonderful experience dining out this day and age, highly recommend this place!!!!

Worth checking out….I just wasn’t amazed by my burger, but I’ll def be back because I’ve heard great thing and the French fries are lit! Also, the prices are nice and the service was cool even though you order everything online through a QR code.

they have a completely online ordering system. so you order and pay online and then the server drops off ur food. its kinda a hassel but im sure its also helpful for the servers and covid safety. I love getting burgers jiffy (pb, bacon). I got a merriam park which also has jelly on it HAHA. it was alot but im glad I tried it! the fried cauliflower came w nacho cheese with I thought was a weird combo. still tasted good tho, ordered garlic aoli to dip. They are spendy for a burger and apps restaurant!! good but dang.

The Blue Door Pub is my partner and I's favorite burger joint. You get a gourmet burger for $10.50 here when everywhere else is $15+. On top of that, they have a $4 Hefe-weisen that is super smooth. I mean, yeah, we have to drive like 30 miles but some things in life are worth it and this is it. I haven't had or have had anything since like Mount Blucivious; it's a masterpiece. All the flavors mix well and it's perfect every time. You get a hefty amount of tots/fries too. The garlic aioli sauce dip you can get with the side is 🤌🤌🤌 Service is quick and friendly. I really like places like this where they fast track menus to QR codes so no more having to wait around for servers and vice versa. Atmosphere is bar-like but cozy. 20/10 would do every time.

I strayed from my usual (Cease and Desist) to try the Como Bluse with brie, bacon jam and berry jam and my husband had the Jiffy (PB and bacon) Food and drinks both came out quick. We always come here because there is never a wait. Currently you order on your phone from the table so that is pretty impersonal, but I guess I understand why they do it. Just hope we go back to real table service someday.

BDP is pure delicious consistency. Every time I come they get everything just right. Beers are always poured properly and filled all the way to the top. The burgers are always picture perfect and even tastier. Fries always crispy and delicious. And isn't it crazy how a burger joint can also have some of the best, if not THE best, buffalo wings in town? Love this place.

Great food, decent prices. It must have been happy hour when I went but beers were $2-$5 which was a great surprise! Their QR code ordering system is pretty convenient, made it super easy to order beers without having to wait for someone to come to the table and ask. Food came out quick and was great. No complaints = 5 stars

The burgers here were wonderful! Staff was amazing and ordering was all done via phone. Staff were super friendly and food was delivered fast. The tater tots are definitely worth getting. Be prepared on the blucy burgers for slippery patties. Otherwise the three burgers we had were all a bit spicy due to cheese or sauce so be aware. Will return as time allows but definitely a meal worth stopping for. A bit on the pricey end for a burger but well worth the cost.

Great experience. You order right at the table on your phone. So easy! Great service, friendly. Great restaurant/bar atmosphere. Food was phenominal!! The Blucy Burger was scrumptious. I had a bite of my wife's grilled chicken sandwich that was also phenomenal in taste. Such great food, friendly service, and overall great atmosphere. Highly recommend. Can't wait to stop by again!!

Visited for the first time last week at my daughter's suggestion and everything was excellent. My son ordered the strawberry habanero wings and he said they were perfect! I made the mistake of ordering a burger that ended up being too spicy for me and I was unable to eat it. The server made it right and brought me something else (bowl-o-rama) and it was so good! Thank you all for making it such a great experience. We will definitely be back soon!

The tater tot nachos were excellent sharing a burger there is kind of difficult if you get one of the juicy Lucy's but they were very good. And if you get an appetizer I highly suggest sharing an entree both are huge.

They do not take reservation. It is first come first serve. They do have free parking in the side/back of building which was nice! I ordered the sticky wings which was amazing! The wings were the perfect flavor and spices. I definitely would come again just for the wings. Their side of fries were great as well. I do believe they are a bit more expensive than average comfort food for wings and fries. But since you’re in Minneapolis it is expected for the food to be pricey. It was my first time eating here and I’m guessing due to covid they scan menus on phone. Ordering was different than other restaurants. You scan the menu code then order from your phone and pay on your phone via your credit card. That is where they’ll take your order since there are no waiters. Waiters do come around to bring food and refill drinks but that is all. When ordering beer/alcoholic drinks, you order right on the phone then they check your ID once it’s brought to table. What I didn’t like is ordering food via website, you can not customize what you want since there were limited options upon selection and no where to comment about your food. So if you wanted something on the side or ask to remove cheese you are unable to do so. The website menu was straight forward but didn’t give you room to make changes or comment on your order.

Delicious burgers! I am also partial to the stoked up egg rolls! Very relaxed atmosphere and I did not mind the online ordering, I actually thought it was a nice set up!

First time visiting. Online ordering is easy to use. The Bacon lucy was ok but I think having the inside absorbed all the cheese I was expecting to ooze out. However I tried a bit of my dates regular lucy and that’ll be the one I try on my next visit. Servers don’t check up on you as much so make sure you order everything you want from the start.

My sister suggested we should eat here and I can see why. We got a table right away and the food was good. I found ordering and paying for the food clunky as you had to go to a specific website via QR code and do it from there rather than the usual way.

The food was all delicious. The cheese curds definitely hit the spot. The Cajun wings were also pretty good. They have a happy hour from 9-close as well which is clutch, but that doesn't include the cheese curds. The atmosphere was also great for this location. Will definitely be back.

This place was good for our first time here. We came on a Friday to try some of the chicken wing flavors and a burger. We arrived during a very busy time but only waited maybe 10 mins before being seated. Service was quick and food was good. We tried boneless Thai peanut and bourbon bacon wings, and bone in Jamaica jerk and Cajun flavors. The wings where good, recommend getting bone in as they where much better. The flavors where good, bourbon bacon was our favorite. We tried the islander burger, very good but lots of cheese. This place has a small town atmosphere and felt very welcoming. There is a good selection of tap beers and ciders many from local breweries. Overall a 4 start experience, we will try back again and try other flavors of wings and a burger with less cheese and that might bump up to a 5 star. Update: Rating increased to a 5 star Rating! This time we went with the Classic burger and added the breakfast addition ( a fried egg, bacon and extra cheese) totally hit the spot. One big thing to mention is the quality of the beef used In the burger. You can tell the difference for sure. This time we tried the smoky bandit dry rub wings and the Samurai wings with the spicy Mayo drizzle! WOW both where top notch. Again have to mention the high quality meat being used. You can tell they spend the extra cash for top quality wings, not super fatty like other places. Service was quick and met our every need. I highly recommend you stop by. Try to make it during happy house 9-close for some great deals.

The food is always great but picking up takeout orders is somewhat of a nightmare. They have always been late and there is really no clear place you should stand while waiting for your order which just makes you feel like you’re always in the way.

I've been coming here for a while, the foods great and always has been. We love the spicy cheese curds and their burgers. They also have a good beer list. Last few times we had a frustrating experience dining in. They have a system where you order and pay via QR code menu which is fine in itself. But tonight we didn't see a server besides them bringing us our order. After our server brought us our entree we didn't see them again for the rest of our time there. The host noticed us looking around and asked us if we needed a box which was nice because that's probably not their job. But then an influx of people came in and they became really busy so that's obviously understandable (hosting is their job). Wish the servers followed up, made sure everything was tasting good etc. The last few times we went the very small interactions with servers also weren't super friendly. "did you order cheese curds?" sets them down and leaves etc. After waiting 15 minutes I just went behind the bar and grabbed a box myself.

These were, in my opinion, the best wings in the Twin Cities! The waitress was great. The seating was a little tight, it was very noisy inside, and parking was scarce but this was worth the drive.

Blow Your Mind Burgers. We were in the area looking for a good burger for lunch so we stopped in. The dining room is very inviting and comfortable with a modern industrial feel. We had some of their many local craft beers and the selection didn't disappoint. But the food.... it's the reason I'm going back the next time I'm in the area. If you want to go fuse your taste buds, go with the Mount Blusuvious burger. It's got crazy hot ghost pepper cheese and a cooling cilantro lime cream sauce. Your mouth isn't sure if it should be hot or not. The Smokey the Bandit and Maple Bacon Bourbon wings were on point as well. Put the Maple Bacon ones on a waffle and you'll have a breakfast worth waiting for!

This is not your average burger place. They specialize in Juicy Lucy-style burgers (meaning the cheese gets cooked inside the patties.) They may not have been the first, but they're definitely the most fearless. We always get the spicy cheese curds as an appetizer which (bless you Blue Door) are actually spicy! Sometimes they'll also have off-the-wall specials like a burger that includes a slice of pastrami and a thin layer of cream cheese, topped and stuffed with pepper jack cheese. Or my personal favorite, the Islander, which comes with pulled pork and pineapple-mango salsa slathered on top. Fries are a la carte, but SO worth it. Nice and crispy and the flavor packs a punch. All in all, a proper treat for any burger-lover. (And I don't drink much beer, but the tap list ain't too bad either!)

I had the Blucy and it was great!! I added lettuce and tomato. I think I could have eaten at least 3, possibly 5 if I didn't have fries. I asked for a side of habanero aioli when I ordered and didnt get it, and asked for it again and the waiter told me he would grab it right away...never ended up getting it. Would have been 5 stars :-(

The food wa ms good and the environment was fun. What I didn't which could be seen as a pro and con would be being able to order everything for the table off of a website. To me the server didn't seem to come around as often due to this? The service was friendly and I would go back again.

Well i got the cheese curds and the cease and desist with the breakfast set. The breakfast set adds an egg bacon and extra cheese. Everything was really good, burger was tender. Word of caution, even though the burger may not seem hot when it comes out, the inside is molten! Highly reccomend this place if you are visiting like i am!

Take the original Blue Door and give it a much better location and size and this is what we have. The food and service are both 5 stars. Small heads up about the ordering process. It is a little confusing. But that would be my only complaint and it's a small one. Great place overall.

I went to the Blue Door on a recommendation from a co-worker. My expectations were average, because while I do enjoy burgers and wings, most similar eateries seem generic and similar to one another. I was pleasantly surprised, however. Their selection of Blucys--Blue Door's version of a Juicy Lucy--are varied, exciting, and intriguing. I had a seasonal rotating Blucy with Maple and bacon, and it was wonderful. The burger was cooked well, the ingredients all contributed to the flavor profile, and there wasn't any extraneous filler ingredients. The wings, while admittedly not spicy, we're flavorful and delicious. The pub also has a good beer and wine selection and a fun atmosphere. I can't recommended the Blue Door Pub enough as a fun, casual, date night destination. Can't wait to go back!

The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, but I did not care for the ordering system. You sit down and scan a QR code and order and pay via phone, I dont like the disconnect that creates between service staff and the guest, it makes figuring out a tip percentage more difficult. You are not getting the service you would normally if someone took your order. Overall it was a great meal.

BUT their investment in the Toast app paid off... this app made ordering and checkout a next level, easy experience whether you're paying for the whole table or splitting the bill up. Very slick!

The burger was amazing! Didn't care for the ordering app. I would rather not input my credit card info into an app like that. The bartender took my order and I paid after with my card. (Was happy they obliged) Didn't like that you automatically added a tip onto my bill. Imo tips are based off from customer service and not automatic. With the app you have in place customer interaction is minimal. All the server does is deliver the food, says three words and you never see them again. That's not worth a 20% tip. I guess I'm old school..... Again the food is great! That's why I gave you five stars!!!!

Went on a Sunday about 6pm. We had a very comfortable seat on their patio. I had a bleucy burger with bacon. Hot and delicious! The waitress gave good service. The manager/bartender came out and interacted to make it even more fun and memorable.

Good selection of burgers, many of which are Juicy Lucy style that they have dubbed the “Blucy”. My favorite is the Bacon Blucy with a side of Cajun tater tots. Some of the best cheese curds I’ve had anywhere as well.

One of the best burger I had when I was in the Us. The location is superb, people here are really nice and you can also try the famous juice Lucy and choose among different kind of cheeses you prefer. The meat was really well cooked, I asked for mid raw and they perfectly fit my expectation. I really recommend this location for a good quality and well served burger.

Great place for comfort food, juicy lucy in particular. The beer selection was completely new to me;I tried Xtra Citra and it was deliciously citric. I also enjoyed the relaxed ambiance though the patrons seemed to be predominantly college students. Nothing pretentious, good prices. In historic DinkyTown, of course.

Hated ordering process. Confusing. Time consuming to figure out. No help from wait staff. Left to figure out on our own. With table of 4, one of us forgot to press enter on his order. Food all brought out at different times from when we individually placed food order. He didn't realize his order wasn't placed until the rest of us were almost done. Burgers & fries were great.

Cajun tots and fries are so good here. We bought some of the spice to take home it was so tasty. I have never had a burger that wasn't spectacular from any of the Blue Doors. Great flavor and quality. I highly recommend giving any one of them a try.

Blue Door is an absolute staple. The Blue Door is a pub that you tell out of Towner's about. The Cease and Desist burger is incredible and my go to. My way of eating a Juicy Lucy is to cut it in half, wait a little while for the cheese to "settle". Cheers!

I usually never give reviews, however we were so impressed by the food, service, drinks & restaurant itself I feel compelled to let others know! We are in town visiting the area for a tournament from The East Coast & 12 of us stumbled upon this restaurant. When we walked in with our teenagers, they didn’t fret & were extremely accommodating! We could each have our own checks (which is usually a problem when traveling w/ a large group) & the food was amazing!! Some got the Motherclucker, some got burgers, some got tater-tots, fried green beans & more!! Everything was delicious & amazing! Let’s not forget the drinks were awesome too! I wish they would open on near us in PA!

A solid deep, fatty, and juicy burger. The thing that puts the Bacon Blucy over the top is the bacon being on the inside which puts your tastebuds in rollercoaster mode of wow!

The burgers are fine - two of them were too spicy and none of us remember anything on the menu indicating that it was so spicy. So that was a surprise. The waitress was only as polite as a bartender, paying only cursory attention to us. But someone other than the waitress (I assume from the kitchen?) came and asked how the food was. The ambiance was very crowded and loud, as if it was intentionally designed to echo. The ordering was funny & inconvenient: we ordered online and had to type in credit card numbers... I'd rather have them swipe my card to save me from typing in... Also when a someone takes your order you can ask questions like what is the difference between a blucy and a burger, but online you're limited to info on the menu.

Always used to come here and decided to stop by recently. My experience was not a good one mainly due to the ordering process. I understand this was a good idea when the pandemic was very present but it’s not anymore. There is no way to ask servers about recommendations or ways you can modify foods to accommodate your likes or even ask anything. It felt very unwelcoming and unfriendly. Will not be coming back for dine in. The food was still good though.

Easily the best peanut butter burger I've ever had . . . 🤔 OK, it was the first one. I've heard great things about the Blue Door. I was not disappointed. The food was really good. The "Jiffy Burger" was wild. Each bite was a different collection of flavors that somehow worked!? It was quite an experience and I would definitely return for another adventure once I work if all the calories that were consumed.

I love blue door. I havent been to the como location in a long time, but it was nice and not crowded for a Sunday evening. Quick service. You order from a QR code on your phone. Easy process and you can keep your tab open to order more drinks and what not. The burgers are always so good. This time I tried the como blucy, it was awesome! A little sticky and messy but that is to be expected at blue door. We always get the beans and they never disappoint. We tried the tots tossed in the bandit rub and I don't think I can go back to plain tots again. Sooo good!!

We stopped by for an early dinner during the week and were seated right away. Our food (classic and two burgers of the month) came out pretty quick and tasted delicious. Cheese curds and tots were also very good. These burgers are priced with no sides and aren’t cheap, but taste very good.

All I can say is spectacular. Great atmosphere, great service, and remarkable food. I got the Islander burger, and wow. Best burger I've ever had, hands down, no joke. Trust me, if you can handle a little spice, this is the thing for you. Only complaint was it was a little crowded and additional seating was unavailable, but understandably due to the great food!

Great service, both at lunch when it was slower with less staff and after softball when it was quite busy. Good food and beer, lots of options for both. The bowl-a-rama was good and seems like it could easily be made vegetarian. I loved that they use paper sauce cups instead of plastic. Two of ten chicken wings were broken though which makes me question their source and animal welfare.

After 9pm, they have a huge selection of their appetizers for fairly cheap and most of the beers are $3.50. The burgers are phenomenal and well worth the price, for its juicy and interesting flavors. I tried the Islander Burger and it was exceptional!

I've been on a quest to find really great boneless wings that have teriyaki sauce in them. I was pleasantly surprised at the "samurai" sauce on the boneless wings. So far it's been the best tasting. I’d compare it to a burger from A mainstream restaurant like Applebee’s or Chillis. The food came out lukewarm and had to be sent back after waiting 35 minutes for it. Would not go back again. Biggest issue here is wheelchair accessibility. They are fully accessible, certainly no violations or anything, but it's not great access. You have to go in a side door, which is fine, but that door is ALWAYS locked (from the outside) and someone from your party has to go in the restaurant from the front and go open from inside. Been this way for years. It sucks. The food is great. Bacon Blucy was kind of dry and the cheese all leaked out onto the grill but everything else was fantastic. Another feedback would be that if you serve iced tea with lemon, make it a wedge instead of a slice. You can't squeeze a slice of lemon. We will be back.

The atmosphere here is pretty relaxed, definitely a college-hangout-spot kinda vibe. Interesting selection of burgers, local beers on tap. Service is standard, nothing to write home about. Visited a few times, and frankly the food is hit-or-miss: one day my burger was great, another it was raw in spots and luke-warm. Location is convenient, and a dedicated parking lot is a plus. For a pub, it does it's job.

We used to come here every week pre pandemic. We always ordered the wings and loved that they where so crispy and seemed like good quality chicken. Since then it seems like they have switched up the recipe they now call boneless wings nuggies, and the chicken they use is a much lesser quality. I was very disappointed in the quality of the chicken. Some pieces where fatty or just pure breading. Which was never the case before. Hopfully they change their chicken back because it is big enough change for me to not go their anymore.

I went in for some late night eats and it took me 5 mins for someone to take my order even though they were busy at all. That alone wouldn’t have bothered me , but the off duty staff complained loudly about people who leave bad Yelp reviews the entire time I was waiting for my order . I was skeptical because of all the hype and I saw they were in the airport now too. Thought it might be washed up ...NOPE! We started with wings because I was craving them (even though the burgers are why I was supposed to be here). These wings were uh-mazing! We got the “frogtown” which had a peanut sauce and were supposed to be on the hotter end of things ...I love siracha and spice but I don’t go for overwhelming heat - these wings were in my zone and the peanut sauce was so good I soaked up every last bit with my fries. We also got the lime and chili ones, excellent as well. Not k my the sauces were fab but the wings were a light crispy outside and cooked through. A delight to eat. Then I got the special for the day which included pork belly in the burger, a ring of fried macaroni with cheese and bbq mayo ...this exceeds my expectations as I am not a big mayo nor bbq guy and they were so well balanced with everything my mouth was at a super high happiness state of existence. The hype is real, it’s worth a trip as well as service that was terrific.

Went for a wing night. The wings were nice and meaty. I tried almost all of the flavors and there were some hits and some strikeouts. Flavors I recommend are buffalo, jerk(not as spicy as they state) smokey bandit and frogtown. The maple bacon bourbon tasted like maple syrup, and did not match the hype. If I went again I would split the order and get buffalo and jerk. The jerk had a hit of anise which set them above the rest. The buffalo had an extra spice in the sauce which made them above average.

Of the Blue Door Pubs, this one is my least favorite. Though it must be noted that being able to make that statement necessarily means I have a fair amount of faith in the brand as a whole. While the Selby location will always remain top of the list with its living room-turned-bar room feel, and the Longfellow location will always remain best for bigger groups, this one sits somewhere on its own, boasting only large amounts of college-style seating and a large room. Not terrible, but not great. The food will rarely disappoint wherever you go.

Went for dinner on a Thursday night. Prompt service, fantastic food. Only (possibly) negative point: the ambience is fairly noisy. You can still hold a conversation if you raise your voice a tad, but I brought my grandfather in, and he couldn't hear much (he wears hearing aids). Still 5/5 stars, but it's just something to be aware of before you go. Another thing to mention: the main door has a step to go up, but there IS a side door with a wheelchair-accessible ramp.

All I will say is...I think I just had one of the best burgers I've had in my life! Blue Door Pub near the U of M campus has finally opened! The place is amazing! I love the layout and open space this place gives over the Saint Paul location. It's very roomy and you won't feel claustrophobic at all. There's plenty of seating for large parties and groups. Parking is plentiful, both on the street and in their back lot. Now onto the burgers! The burgers here are amazing! More so than the one in the Saint Paul location. There is a difference in their menus and the difference is BOMB! I got the Mount Blucuvious! It consist of Ghost Pepper Cheese, Fried Avocado, Thick Cut Bacon coated in a spicy dry rub with creamy lime sauce. This is probably the best burger I've had..better than the ones I've tried at the other Blue Door Pub location and Red Cow. The ghost pepper cheese makes it quite spicy! It's freakin delicious though. The creamy lime sauce might sound weird, but it pairs damn well with the burger. I asked them to cook my patty as raw as they can and they didn't disappoint! I love my meat raw! The fried avocado and bacon was a good addition as well. So unhealthy, but so good! I can't wait to come back to this location as Mount Blucuvious is exclusive to the Como Ave location. Lastly, the service here is top notch. My girlfriend and I ordered Cajun Tater Tots with our burgers, but they came with regular tots. They were nice and brought out another basket of cajun tots... Tots for days... I can't wait to come to this Blue Door Pub location from now on! This one's bomb! I'm glad they opened one up here!! Woot. Check it out!

A lot of people seem to love this place but I only "like" it. They are known for their "Blucy's" which is a take on the Jucy Lucy, a burger with melty cheese on the inside. They have some creative plays on a Jucy Lucy but they have all fallen just a little short for me. Like they don't taste as good as they sound on the menu. And of course, you are paying for the frills too. I would take a no frills (cheaper) Matt's Jucy Lucy any day over one of Blue Door's. But they are good burgers overall and they have good taste tot offerings as well. This is a small restaurant so be prepared to wait for a table.

Ok. So, first off, this place is basically where you go if you're hung over and either want some hair of the dog or a lot of grease to drown out your pounding headache. The bluchy I had was excellent, I got the peanut butter and bacon add-on as well and I basically waddled out of there hoping to find the nearest bed to let all that deliciousness digest.

Never had a bad experience at any of the locations, food is always on point, lots of rotating specials that change from location to location. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Sometimes during peak days and times you may wait a while for a table so be prepared for that.

I like Blue Door for the punny chicken sannie:Cluck Yeah! Crisper than most, not the size of a RedWing boot, BBQ sauce and Cole slaw with a Hamm's but I'm from the land of sky blue water. That said, dry rubbed or sauced, the wings are like T-Rex arms. But of course, famous for it's Blucey cheese-stuffed burger--there's one with peanut butter and bacon. Umami all the day long.
