Reviews of Berry Sweet Kitchen
Mollie Joy
I honest-to-God cannot believe this place has so many positive reviews AND that it was absolutely jam-packed. Perhaps we just went there on an off day...
❤️ The positives: The counter service was friendly and the house-made bacon was totally fabulous. Absolutely recommend getting that if you should go.
💔 On the downside, the room that we ate in had the ambience of an underfunded nursing home with folding style tables, office-style fluorescent lighting and no art or anything of note on the walls. Perhaps that could be overlooked or considered quirky or cute if I didn't pay $30 (😵) for a breakfast that didn't contain a boozy beverage, that I ordered at a counter and where I needed to get my own coffee.

Stopped here for breakfast on my way to MSP Airport to get my long flight back to London, UK. My server John was very chatty and the Everything Omelette I had was really nice, as was the coffee. Whilst this cafe / diner is 'no frills' they bake their own bread, smoke their own bacon and make their own cheesecakes... So it is well worth a visit.

My husband and I visited this location with some members of my football team.
You order when you walk in and then you find a table.
The good was AMAZEBALLS. I ordered banana French toast with a side of hash browns (both pictured). The bread they use is VERY thick and they cut it into halves, so two slices along with a side of hash browns (and one of my teammates taking a couple bites of her own) was more than I needed and I ended up taking a half slice of French toast home (leftovers tasted JUST as delicious).
Would DEFINITELY recommend this location and will absolutely be stopping by for another bite soon!

Spent roughly $100 for everything. Personally, I thought the food was decent and nothing truly special about it. I enjoyed the special drinks they had but food wise felt like they were lacking some flavors for me. Their desserts did look really good but I was too stuff to taste it.

This place hit the spot for taste, it also hit my pocket book as well.
We enjoyed this restaurant very much, the food was delicious, the amount you receive is a little under what I would expect for the cost, many diners will load you up for the $15 range, here was a $20 range with less food, but I believe it is made up in presentation.
I have a hard time finding a place that can have a hit with an omelet, this place achieved that, and when thinking of paying $13 for an underwhelming omelet from let’s say Perkins, this place is worth every dollar, just expect a little hefty price is all.
We left full, happy, and feeling like we should try it again some day.

I love coming here! I’ve been here numerous of times and have not been disappointed! I always order pick up and service has been fairly quick where the food is ready within 15-20ish minutes. I’ve ordered their French toast which was delicious, their salmon salad which was absolutely amazing, and this time I ordered the blueberry pancakes which was delicious! Also the portion sizes are pretty large so you definitely get your moneys worth. The only bad thing I can say is if you order to go make sure you check your bag for silverware as well as ensure all your items. I know they are probably short staffed but there’s been a few times that something was missing. However, they replaced any and every thing they missed.

I had no expectations coming in, and I was pleasantly surprised with the type of food, kind of a Mexican-continental breakfast blend. The breakfast bowl was superior. The salmon and asparagus eggs were a distant second in comparison. Definitely worth a visit.

Food was fantastic! Thick cut light pillowy toast was a highlight weirdly enough. Ordered over-medium eggs that were perfectly done. Mom and daughter ordered bacon waffles and bacon pancakes which were also excellent. The bacon is thick cut and very obviously hand cured. Ordered 3 large mimosas expecting just a large wine glass for 15 dollars each, but each came out with a whole carafe! Will definitely be back.

The food here was so delicious! We ate every single bite! The only thing that was a little confusing was whether it was a full-service or counter-service restaurant (it was counter service, at least for breakfast) but the staff was very friendly and helped us figure it out quickly. Parking was very easy in the lot. We will definitely be going back!
Rachel Arroyo
Amazing food and drink, cute decor and close to the airport. A win win! There were so many wonderful items on the menu. So we ordered family style. Fresh, flavorful and filling!

Left disappointed because many friends recommend this place. The chilaquiles was frustratedly spicy. The dish left your tongue feeling like you ate a bag of hot Cheetos. To be fair, I like spice when it adds to the dish, not when it is the dish. I get it, some folks like their six pepper salsa, but what does that really add? Besides a rough bathroom experience? I thought it needed more balance because the green sauce overpowered the pickled onions, cheese, chicken, sour cream and tortilla chip flavors were non-existent. You maybe got a second of those flavors before the spice army of 300 kicked your tongue down the well. A slice of lime would’ve saved this dish. The bacon waffle was the most disappointing. You get a bacon slice on the side and it surprisingly lacked that addictive bacon quality and the bacon waffle(yes, singular, you only get one) tasted greasy. I get it, it’s bacon, it’s supposed to be greasy, but when your waffle isn’t fluffy, bacon-ie, and only greasy, it’s a bummer. The syrup taste was drowned out and the butter on top was unpleasant. Three stars because it was edible but borderline 2.

Absolutely delicious food!!!
You order your food at the counter, they give you a number, and you fill up your drink and pick a table. I really enjoyed it because after you were done eating you could just leave, since you already paid.
The topping of my crepe was AMAZING and the fruits were so fresh. I can't wait to come back.
Sofia Hidrogo
Bottom less Mango Mimosas simply delicious
Tried some Cilaquiles spicy creamy and yummy. My daughter had Strawberry waffle 🧇 😋
Pricey but good …
Fòòdi .
Got the classic breakfast it was really good surprised that it made me full the people don't go to you sometimes they do but not all the time the wait time in the morning took a while but we got to choose where to seat didn't wait much for food to get here other then that it's very expensive I can tell why people don't go here
Phillip Nelson
If you are looking for a great brunch place, look no further! The food is excellent both in presentation and flavor. There are bottomless mimosas that you can get in many different flavors. Loved the mango one! Will be returning real soon!!
Rachel Vouk
Friendly service and very quick! My food was at my table less than 10 minutes after I ordered. Food tasted great.

The food was great super delicious and very filling. The area was pretty nice. The staff was kind and customer service was a little off their were a few food mix ups but in the end it was worth it all. Would definitely eat here again!!!
Alex Garcia
Fantastic breakfast and lunch spot. When people talk about a hidden gem, this is it.
The chilaquiles are outstanding. Pastries are beautiful.
Mikky Daub
Woah! We were blown away by this place. Delicious breakfast burrito and chilaquiles served up quick. Will definitely be back for fresh pastries some time. Thank you BSK!
Steven Wysocki
We had a little time before our flight departed and my wife looked up this location nearby, based on pictures she saw alone, and it did not disappoint. Their biscuits are light and fluffy as I had the eggs Benedict and my wife had chiliquiles, which if you order expect a lot of heat but delicious. We followed up with a fruit tart from their pastry selection, which was also very good.

Enjoy the casual vibe of this quick serve neighborhood breakfast joint near the airport. The big breakfast burrito was exactly that with a delicious (spicy Mexican) finish. (My head was sweating!) The waffles and French toast were perfectly prepared with fresh fruit toppings (and was that homemade whipped cream!?). The coffee game here was weak for my taste and the place def lacks in curb appeal, but the friendly staff seemed proud of their work. And bonus—the bathroom was clean.

Best breakfast in the Twin Cities! No frills, just really well cooked food. Diner-style restaurant with breakfast items you’ll be thinking about far after you’ve finished your meal. They make their bread and bacon in house and, while I’m usually not a sweet breakfast person, their berry crepe and banana French toast are ridiculously good.
Connie Ramm
Excellent brunch catering! Have had the pleasure of enjoying the catered brunch 3 or 4 times. Above and beyond expectations! Food was so good! Cinnamon rolls beyond great!
angel
Friendly neighborhood restaurant. Greeted with smiles and service. I ordered the salmon scrambled eggs. It came with hash and they were AMAZING! I chose a fruit cup side and they were fresh <3 nothing squishy =P
Justin Grondin
The banana french toast is an incredible signature dish! It is a must try.
Alayna Creath
As the name suggests, the food here is really sweet. So if that’s your preference you’ll love it. Everything tasted amazing, portions were large and the atmosphere makes solo dining comfortable.
Kallie Maas
Super friendly and accommodating for a large group of 10. The fruit tart was amazing and all the dishes we had for brunch were amazing! The place is counter serve but there is plenty of seating.
Tauri Bayer
Adorable breakfast joint with amazing food. The orange juice was delicious and obviously fresh-squeezed. My pancakes were fluffy and slightly crispy. Perfection
José Luis Sánchez Uría
Very very good food over all. Pancakes are amazing. Breakfast bowl is huge and tasty. Definitely a place to come back. The inside wasn't the cleanest but it wasn't that bad. Specially the floor need some cleaning. I only reviewed food wise for the stars.
Allie Haley
This place is awesome! Good food, good staff, good coffee. Get their hot sauce if you like spicy stuff! It's sooo good- I even bought some to take home and I put it on everything.
Tyler Neuzil
The Banana French Toast is probably the best Breakfast food I've ever had. Love the food selection here and the Bloody Marys with the Bacon!!! Staff is always very friendly.
Zachary Zabloski
The food at Sweet Berry is some of the best in the city. It is definitely a hidden gem. Order at the counter style is a lot faster than having someone wait on you.
Adam
I love going to this breakfast place, it’s a mom and pop breakfast spot, so you know your dollars are going back into the community. The stuff are really helpful and happy to recommend their special if the day. Leave room for deserts !!! The strawberry Crapes is with every penny !!
Hailey S
Food was fresh and delish! Service was fast and effecient. Will be a regular stop!
We had brunch. Crepes, french toats, breakfast burrito were all amazing!
Joaquin Muñoz
I went to this place on a whim, and discovered a hidden gem. The food is beautiful and so incredibly tasty! I ordered the chilaquiles, with a green chicken chili that is just out of this world good! The cooks back there know how to do things right! All of the food is so good and reasonably priced for the amounts you get. Such a great local place. If you haven't been, you gotta go!
Alyssa Elwood
My fiance and I ran into this place when we were visiting Minneapolis. This is a fantastic hole-in-the-wall place to visit! It is a family-run, military supporting, very friendly staff! We will definitely be back to visit this place. The food was fantastic, fresh, hot, and very flavorful! The banana French toast has a caramel cream sauce and a very mellow flavor. The breakfast burritos are huge for those men who eat four meals at each sitting. The lattes are exquisite! I used to work at a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop with authentic coffee and if I say it's good it's fantastic. We definitely recommend this to anybody that likes supporting family run businesses!
Cassandra Harvey
I love Berry Sweet Kitchen! I've been several times now and every time I have to get the banana foster french toast. It's absolutely delicious. This is a great casual brunch place. You order at the counter, deli style and take a number to your table for food delivery. Beverages are self-serve, the food is quick and always good, and the workers are friendly--what's not to love?
Lazuara Stone
My first time there. I like the homey feel! The pancakes and scone were delicious! My friend had this Mexican type dish with eggs, and a delicious spicy sauce, chicken, and tortilla chips ( I forget the name). I had an omelette. It was pretty good. I would have liked it better if the omelette wasn't made with just the yolk. But, other than that, I would come back and try something else on the menu!! 😋😋😋
Chelsea K
Best brunch in the area. Friendliest owners/staff. You have to try the banana french toast. It's one of my favorite things to eat anywhere. Tried the biscuits and gravy this time, they were fantastic. Love their hash browns, onions inside. The huevos rancheros and breakfast burrito grande are delicious as well. Come hungry if you plan to finish that burrito though. It's a beast. That orange juice is to die for. Fresh squeezed daily, definitely recommend giving it a go. Not acidic like some places, just really good orange juice. Have been here a lot, have yet to be disappointed by any of the food. Seating can be tricky at peak brunch hours, but they do their best to get everyone a table and make sure you know they're taking care of you when it's busy.
Jesse
Best breakfast burrito I’ve had. The chorizo is just so damn juicy and full of flavor. Couldn’t try to the “very”hot sauce as I’m not a glutton for punishment and they did say it’s obscenely hot. I can’t wait to go back.
Elaine Armstrong
I had the breakfast bowl and my partner had French toast, both were so very tasty!
Landon Bland
The strawberries and cream pancakes were our favorite; the breakfast bowl with barbacoa beef was delicious but the scrambled eggs in it were expected to do a bit too much as far converting it into a breakfast dish.
Stephon Martin
The food is marvelous. The establishment is clean and welcoming. The freshness of the fruit is a note and the Bottomless Mimosas were refreshing.
A Llaurado
Ordered using Door Dash. The crepes were beautiful (see pic) and quite delish! Also ordered veggie omelet & pancakes. Omelet was loaded with mushrooms and quite tastarific! The pancakes were ok...not much flavor or sweetness. Overall a pretty
good order
Jeremy Thackett
The place is nothing fancy. You order your food at the counter and it is brought to you, which in many ways I prefer. While there are many breakfast choices in Minneapolis, this is one you don't want to miss.
Yapha Kimmons
I found this place using the search guide on Google. It is located in an unassuming building but the flavor of the food and the great coffee more than made up for that. There was fresh walnuts, berries of all types including strawberry, blueberries and raspberries. I don't eat bacon normally but the donuts were freshly made so I went for it and it was sweet and savory so good! Will definitely try this place if I am ever in the Minneapolis area again
Ammarah Sadiq
The breakfast was simply delicious 😋 we had the Strawberry and cream pancake, the Banana French toast.Everything was super fresh. Way better than any of the run-of-the-mill pancake joints like Denny's or Pancake House etc. …
Natasha Sanchez
From the outside it does not look like much. You order you food at the counter and they will bring it out to you. We had their chilaquiles which were delicious! We also got their banana french toast which was amazing. Best french toast I had in a long time. Only recommendation is that the carmalize booth side of the banana pieces especially for the bigger pieces.
Angel Peck
Never had a bad experience here. It is great they serve breakfast and lunch all day. The owner is work wonderful. He definitely loves what he does and it shows. The food comes fast and it hot. Good pricing and large portions. The fact I can get fresh fruit as a side is a huge plus. I also love they have changing specials.
Calvin Lenz
Had a pretty good breakfast here with the family. The blueberry pancakes were good (the blueberries were huge!) and the food came out fast and was reasonably priced.
Dina
Delicious, fresh, real whipped cream and good sized portions but very expensive. Family of 5 we each had a breakfast dish, 2 coffees, 1 hot chocolate, a cinnamon roll to share and it was over $100 before tip
Dee Dee Banks
I had the bacon pancakes. They were soft, fluffy, and delicious! Hidden gem!

Update 2021.10.17:
Same delicious food and experience from 5 years ago! We got the banana french toast again, tried a veggie omelette, berry waffle, and a mocha latte.
The veggie omelette with stuffed with mushrooms, so that's not your thing be warned (we enjoyed it though). The berry waffle was loaded with fresh fruit and whipped cream!
The banana french toast was delicious! In my opinion was the best dish of the morning! The mocha latte was also tasty.
Be willing to spend about $18-20 per person with tip.

This is a great local breakfast place! I traveled from Andover to check it out and was quite pleased! The prices are very fair and you get a LOT of food! And tasty food! You pay up front when you order. Their omelets are amazing and the hash browns were divine! I also love the banana french toast!
Jason Kelly
Great little spot to stop for breakfast. You order at the counter and grab a table while they're getting it ready. The western omelet with chorizo was fantastic!
Lindsey Newman
If you've never been here get here ASAP the food is exquisite there was nothing that our group of 9 ordered that didnt blow us out of the water. 10/10 will be back and would reccomend
May Christensen
It's worth coming from across town to sit down and eat here. Fantastic food, reasonably priced, and I'm really glad that I decided to check it out.
Chadwin Groff
Absolutely very GOOD food!! The burger was amazing!!And the people were very nice and friendly Would definitely go back!!
d hanson
Really nice local independent restaurant. Love the blueberry pancakes. As of 11 May, they have 100% seating (although there was plenty of elbow room when we went just before noon).
Mae Shinigami
Great Juicy Lucy! Beat the 5-8 Club hands down. Only downside: $13 was a bit expensive for a glorified cheeseburger, even with all the trimmings included. However, their chocolate cake with berry filling was moist & decadent, & the fruit salad was surprisingly sweet. The strawberry cheesecake was a bit lighter than I usually like, but it was flavorful.
Aleksandra Jeffrey
First time here and the food was delicious. You order at the counter first and then find a table. We got our food pretty fast. We had the berry waffle and the Mexican omelet, both were delicious and hit the spot. They do put this hot sauce on the omelet that was spicy but it just brought the whole meal together. Recommend this place for breakfast 😋
A.J. Barker
It’s phenomenal. The breakfast bowl is on point and the Cinnamon Roll is Cinnabon-good 😋 Definitely recommend 💯
Juan Manuel Cruz Aguilar
Best breakfast food in town. Hands down their breakfast burrito, omelets, pancakes, and banana French toast are the best you'll find in town. The rest of the menu is just as good though so don't hesitate to try the other options they have. Staff is very friendly. Both owners are always there and are very welcoming to anyone coming in! My family and I go here at least twice a month and been doing that for the last 3 or 4 years.
doug toth
Best breakfast stop in the metro... You gotta stop and eat here!! Great food, friendly staff... YUM!!
Speedy (Michelle Riehn)
Definitely get the berries! The creme is likely the best I've ever had and they have the perfect cup of "diner coffee".
Amanda Riendeau
Counter order spot for breakfast & lunch. Also had drink options such as mimosas & boozy hot chocolate.
We had a late breakfast here. Easy to order, self serve drinks (except alcohol) & self seating.
Portions are giant & sides (hashbrowns, fruit, etc) are separate.
Not crazy busy but it was around 1130am.
Everything we had was delicious.
Amanda Kozicky
Wow, This place made my morning! Stopped in for an ice coffee while waiting for an oil change at Steve’s and treated myself to the berry crepes and they did not disappoint. Great food, friendly and inviting staff.
Joshua Gray
The Bloody Mary was fantastic!! Their burritos and mimosas are good as well. Friendly service from the bartender/counter attendant.
CJR
The food was okay. The bacon and toast were really thick. Two of the burritos we ordered were wrong. And no substitutions were allowed. Expensive: Bacon, eggs, toast and fruit were $17.
Sarah Blu
Their French Toast is truly amazing, its sweet and simply splendid. I also was super impressed my their in house bacon, it is thick and tender. Can't wait to go back!
Costas Stavrou
Fantastic breakfast place with a very nice large sitting indoor area. The service was fast and the food was delicious.
Nick Ipsen
Came here on Mothers Day, they set up a brunch lunch. It was wonderful. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for a nice hole in the wall bakery/breakfast diner.
Ashley Wells
Great service and delicious food!
Mark Ogawa
Food is unique and very good. Not a big selection but what they have is always good.
mario montanez
big breakfast burrito is AMAZING, my fav. Lovely owners and the food is just so good. Now, if you want some pastries .... OMG!! to die for. Keep the hard work guys/
Andrew VanDenBroeke
Great spot for Sunday brunch. Very generous portion sizes, and a great verity of mamosa flavors!
Beth Sowada
Amazing homemade food. Everything I have ever tried here is delicious.
A V
Good not great. Solid diner with some very solid choices and flavors, a lot of their stuff is homemade too. Just not that little extra you find at some places
Angela Carroll2015
Food was delicious, service was fast, portions were huge. Ordering was a little strange, you take a menu and stand at the door, then order at the counter before you find a place to sit but that could be covid related. Did I mention food was delicious? Home made pastry and biscuits-yum!
Zoot Hoot
The food was so delicious I forgot to take a picture of it.
I got the Mexican omelet, the chorizo was perfectly salty and flavorful The spice level was nice and warm. Sauce on top added depth and creaminess. Cheese was perfectly balanced. I don’t normally eat omelets, but this one I could eat every week.
Carrie Horne
Really good food, both our orders were perfect and Tasty! Plan on getting a cinnamon roll, they looked & smelled home made, someone ordered after I had ordered but next time its mine 🤤
Pauly Hoffman
Best hidden gem in mpls. If you're considering going, consider no more, just go eat there. You will be very glad you did.
Jacquelyn Mangano
I can't believe I waited so long to try this place! I live in the neighborhood where it is located and I will be visiting a lot more! Fantastic breakfast. They make everything from scratch. Order at the counter and wait for food to get to you was very easy. My husband hand the Tacos for lunch and said they were fantastic. I had the egg and meat place. Get the bacon!
Robert Winzenburg
Incredible food...very fresh and hot. Very large portion of bacon, eggs sausage, and pancakes for around $14. Also, great and friendly service!! I will absolutely be going back to this restaurant again!!
Karna Spear
Food is great. Great home cooking style breakfast. The back room could use a little more work on feeling "cozy" sort of feels like you are eating in a abandoned office space as the walls are just kinda tan/brown. Could use some art on the walls or color.
Leelah Lilley
The BEST Breakfast I've ever had!!!!!
Ayla carpenter
Food was delicious. I had the French Toast and my aunt and sister shared the Strawberries & Creme Pancakes. Both were large portions and very good. My husband had the Biscuits & Gravy, his go-to breakfast; he said the gravy was the best he has had in the Twin City area. We'll be back!
Melinda Achartz
Amazing food and friendly staff. Home made bread is tasty. It is worth checking it out
Mandy Gidley
Big portions, I took half home. Had the Barbacoa breakfast scramble and it was a bit spicy for me, but very tasty. The berry waffle was amazing with a good amount of fruit and cream on top. Love the bottomless mimosas. You order and pay when you first go in, then sit down. Full crowd but didn't have to wait long.
Kris Amundson (Squadron Hawk)
This place is AMAZING!!! Some of the best breakfast food I've ever had, on the staff are all friendly and efficient! I highly recommend the banana French toast 🤤 …
Brian Rosaaen
Great concept, ordering at the counter and getting your own drinks. Not to mention, their delicious food!
Marjorie Thompson
I was picking up takeout and realized at home part of our order was missing. I called and they offered to refund or let us come grab it. When they realized how close we lived, John actually drove to our house and brought us the food. So impressed.
kshitij neupane
The food is soo good here. It's probably a tad bit expensive but for the quality it's worth it. Definately try it if you are in the area.
The only thing which might be little confusing is parking I went there recently and the road next to the place was closed due to road work of some sort so it took is some time to find the place because there were no other signs.
Angie R
Yes please! One of our party ordered the biscuit and gravy, I was very jealous after tasting it - best I've ever had. Will be back soon so that I can have my own heaven on a plate
Josie Disher
This place is amazing! The waffles are crispy and delicious, the house made raspberry jam is sooo good, and the berries are fantastic. I had no idea a waffle could be so good. The crepes are perfect too. 12/10 definitely go here.
Sergey Kovalev
Great place for breakfast near the airport. Choise of omelets and crepes/pancakes. Good and fast service
Rick Wahlen
Berry Sweet Cafe has found a terrific niche in the breakfast cafe realm. I'm always on the lookout for small, unique restaurants and cafes, and Berry Sweet is one of my favorites when I'm in the area. The menu does include some of the standard breakfast fare you might expect to find like biscuits and gravy, however everything is cooked to perfection with a flair for flavor you don't find in most small American breakfast cafes. Berry Sweet shines by offering more unique breakfast dishes such as Chilaquiles, a wonderful cilantro variation of sunny side-up eggs; a beef barbacoa and pork breakfast bowl with pickled onions, beans and spinach that makes you wish your last bite was starting all over again; three-egg Mexican omelettes with chorizo with a wonderful blend of heat and lightly seared vegetables that are oh so yummy! I can't say enough about Berry Sweet's huge everything omelette, which when paired with a couple of their 5 excellent varieties of pancakes or 4 kinds of French toast, make breakfast at this small, neighborhood restaurant too good to pass up.
If a full breakfast is too much, a nice variety of scones and sweet rolls complement the menu. Today, a wonderful fresh fruit tart was also available, which I definitely intend to take along for later.
Berry Sweet is a simple, neighborhood establishment that invests creativity and quality in its food. You gotta give this place a try, and before you go, buy a glass of quality lemonade, being sold to help two of the restaurant's staff members set aside money for college.
Megan Dant
Go hungry because you get a TON of food and you're not going to want to stop eating it.
I've gotten omelettes both times I've been here and they did not disappoint. My husband got the two egg and meat combo. In addition to the two eggs and meat, he got a pile of hashed browns, two giant pieces of toast, and a stack of pancakes. He loved it all and finished it all.
They're also very supportive of the military, which is always really great.
I will definitely go here again.
Paul Menzel
Yeah this is definitely the place to go. It's. It's a little different when you walk up and place your order at the counter and then you go and sit down. But different Is sure works for them. This food was incredible and the portion sizes are great. If you are gonna be in the area this is definitely a must go to spot
Emma Norwood
Down in the cities taking my daughter and her cat to get spayed.... We had time to kill so I let her pick the restaurant. We came here because mimosas and her cats name is Beri. Well we were pleasantly surprised. Bottom mimosas are the way to go. Sweet potato hash was delicious. The french toast was amazing! Crepes were a work of art. Highly recommend. We will be making the trip back here soon.
Megan E
Super clean, cute and yummy. We stopped in for brunch. Coffee was hot and fresh, food was fantastic, service was friendly. Definitely one to visit again!
Chelsea Rumble
I love this place. Great food! Really good treats, and the owners are the sweetest.
Lauren Parrett
I love the food here. I always love my food here. It is consistently good. The banana french toast is my favorite and their bacon is delicious but I tried the Chilaquiles and it was so so good. Glad I did. Flavorful, not soggy and perfect ratios. Once again, I'm not disappointed!
Jessica Nordberg
Phenomenal. Best breakfast I ever had. The crepe was light and airy. The fruits and creme made it sweet. The biscuits and gravy, eggs, and hashbrowns were savory. Everything had great flavor. I'm leaving this review before I even leave the restaurant. It was a great experience. First time here.
Michelle timme
I discovered Berry Sweet Kitchen during the start of lockdown. If you haven't ordered from them YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!! Everything is made fresh from scratch. Portions are BIG and the food is consistent. Ive never had a bad order. Try the breakfast food.. the banana French toast or the berry crepes. The hashbrowns are seasoned perfection. Hungry for lunch? Order a burger or the chicken club. But honestly there isn't a bad item on the menu. I am a picky person for take out. Usually i end up disappointed and thinking - i could have cooked this better. That has never happened with this restaurant. Thank you Berry Sweet Kitchen!!!!!
mary
The food was good, but you have to go up to order; no waitress comes to the table
Benjamin Rattle
Ok experience for my first time here. Food was alright, the hash browns we're amazing... and they have me enough berries to live up to the name. Staff was warm and friendly. The space felt unfinished and an afterthought. It could have done with some energy or life.
Duane “Wayne” Brooks
It was the best breakfast I've had in many many years. I have told anyone that would listen about what a delicious, scrumdiddlyumptious, mouthwatering decadence that was the banana french toast I was privilege to experience, most jealous about how I describe it, others are very curious and want to go there and try it for yourself I'm definitely going to be a lifelong customer thank you very sweet kitchen on a personal note the people that work here are also great and made my visit enjoyable five stars
Brittany Still
Fresh EVERYTHING—great brunch/day drinking bottomless mimosas for $11–LITERALLY everything one the menu (besides the biscuits & gravy) is to die for..—worth the wait if there is one—MUST TRY!!
Cathy Schlegel
Some of the best pancakes I've ever had! And holy cow the banana sauce is to die for. The thick cut toast is hearty, the omlette's are fluffy, and the scones are crumbly and melt in your mouth. The bacon is amazing and the owner is super nice. Good stuff!

Bacon Alert! They have Some of the best bacon around, MPLS, Minnesota, the Midwest, yeah, it’s that good! 5 stars for the bacon alone. I can’t forget about the pancakes. Light and fluffy. Overall a 5 star breakfast experience! Can’t wait to visit again. Keep up the great service and food!
Holly Hoffmaster
Love the fruit tarts! I given them as gifts for special occasions. I hear nothing but rave reviews from the people that are gifted them
Aaron K.
Got the everything omelet...pretty decent. The Biscuits and gravy were mediocre At Most. But* the French toast is fantastic! Would come back again just for that!
Brandon Wolf
Great food! They make their own bread! Super friendly staff!
Mitchell Fokken
Fantastic breakfast bowl. I really enjoyed the sauce it had on it.
James W. Harrell II
Excellent. I highly recommend this place. Found it by accident. Scratch restaurant. The bread is the best I've ever tasted. The food is great.
Liberty Willms
Really nice little breakfast/lunch spot.
Ryan
My fiance and I decided to try this place based on a Google search. This place is set up differently in that you order at a counter and then sit at a table. We ordered the French toast and the breakfast burrito.
The food came out within about 5 minutes and was cooked perfectly. It was some of the best breakfast food I have had in years! I put the homemade bacon in the breakfast burrito instead of chorizo and was incredibly impressed by the flavor and how thick cut the pieces were. The French toast was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They used a caramelized glaze instead of syrup and it was absolutely fantastic!
The owner is super friendly and amazing. This establishment support our troops and is a small cozy, down home establishment. We will be back tomorrow!
Becca Robbins
We love Berry Sweet Kitchen. We discovered it recently, though we've lived in the area over a year. We have chatted with the owner on several occasions, he is very kind. The food we've had had all been delicious, particularly the Berry crepes. It has become one of our favorite breakfast spots.
Tonya
Nice little hole in the wall family run restaurant. I wouldn't say it was amazing food, but good. Better than your average chain breakfast joint.
I enjoyed the salmon scramble with asparagus. My daughter didn't care too much for the gravy in her biscuits and gravy.
Waffle Possum
Nice little place. Pretty busy on Saturday morning, but not more than a few minutes wait. Steak and eggs for about $15 with hash browns and wheat toast. Toast was very good, strawberry preserves were a liquid though (no worries). Steak seemed small, and we both ordered MED. They were both about as well done as could be, and kinda' tough. Eggs were perfectly cooked Seems like a nice place to meet and talk. Family oriented. Also seemed very "local". Orange juice was freshly squeezed.
Ryan Bolduan
A really great local food spot. Nothing fancy, just good food. I've only experienced it for brunch, but the eggs are always well done, the bacon is fantastic, the pastries are top notch, the pancakes are quite good, and the berry waffle is superb.
Dean Burbul
Love it great food great service

Went to Berry Sweet Kitchen for a Sunday breakfast. There is currently road construction in front of the diner so getting to it is a little tricky. There is only one entrance, but they make you wait in line to be called to the counter. While waiting in line you have to make room in the narrow hallway to allow people to exit, it's not a very good design. Tables are first come first serve, and there isn't wait staff constantly walking around. Prices aren't listed on the menu, and it ended up being pricey for two dishes and two coffees. I got the Banana French Toast which looked delicious, but when it came out was drenched in Carmel sauce. It made it very sweet. You don't get any sides with the French toast, but it was a ton of food just on its own.

I LOVE Berry Sweet Kitchen! I used to live in the neighborhood and now make special trips (especially now that we are in the middle of a pandemic) to get breakfast and lunch from this amazing family diner.
The Banana French Toast is THE BEST - the caramelized bananas are SO good, just the right amount of sweetness. I also love their Beef Barbacoa Quesadilla - very tasty! I cannot say enough good things about this place. The owners, John and Nancy, are two of the nicest people you will meet - always a friendly welcome when you visit.

Berry Sweet Kitchen catering was recommended to us by Gill Brothers Funeral Home(which I strongly recommend during your time of need).
John at Berry Sweet was simply wonderful. He was so empathetic to our circumstance and need. I cannot tell you how comforting our conversation was- far beyond the food and catering aspect.
I chose a hot, comforting meal to be served to our family and friends who will be joining us in honoring the life of my father. Sweet Berry has many options to choose from- hot and cold- so I'm sure almost anyone can find the right fit for their needs!
THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! A hit with everyone: lots of compliments!! Comforting food that was served HOT, and the desserts were OUT OF THIS WORLD😍
My husband said that we are going to check out their restaurant after the great food and service we received at the memorial service. I SO wish we would've taken photos to share just how great this catering was, but it was just something I didn't think about at the time of my father's memorial :(
Thank you John at Berry Sweet Kitchen: for taking over this important process during our difficult time. Thank you for assuring me that everything will be taken care of, and placing all of the responsibility upon yourself so that we may rest worry-free.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DID♡
Lisa Williams
Highly recommend coming here! The food is delicious and I loved the crepes. I would definitely give this a try.
Julie Caouette
Great service! Clean and nice people. Food was great!
Kate Hanson
Berry Sweet Kitchen is a welcoming, casual little local cafe with absolutely scrumptious blueberry pancakes! Even the self-serve coffee is good. What a gem!
Kocica
I like that it is a family run place. I like neighborhood and atmosphere eating there. However, I feel it is overpriced. It should at least improve by providing wait staff or improving quality aka better product. It is odd not to taste butter eating breakfast. I plan to visit it more anyhow because I like how warm this place is once you are inside.
Tom Geoffroy
This restaurant, owned and operated by John & Nancy, has become one of our favorite breakfast stops. Nancy's cooking is superb and she combines flavors in intriguing and delectable ways. Its hard to pass up their fresh -baked pastries on your way out. Their mini turtle cheesecake won us over! Friendly service, great tasting food, at a very reasonable price.
Bradley Pike
I had a 1 nights stay in Minneapolis, so I stopped here for breakfast. The employees/owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming us when we walked in the door, and making us feel at home during our meal. The food was very good with HUGE portions. You will defiantly be satisfied when you leave this place
denise lane
Went for breakfast this morning and were amazed at the quality of the food! Ordered the banana french toast and egg sandwich. All bakery, breads, etc. is home baked and soft and delicious. Cinnamon rolls were the best we've had. Not the biggest or fanciest place but The food rocked!
C L D
Food was delicious. Banana French toast was amazing and very different. You have to read a menu in line upon entry and then order and pay at the counter before you find a table. Then seat yourself with a number for your food to be brought out. I would prefer a traditional server at the table so that’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Felt a bit rushed and awkward. Long line at the door and very busy, at least it was on a Saturday at 11. Will return for the excellent tasting food.
Marc Young
Great breakfast, although it was pretty pricey for French toast, bacon and eggs. Only thing I would change is I think they used some sort of oil to cool the French toast on...it left an aftertaste. Real butter is what I use on cast iron and mine is terrific. I think the bread they used is either fresh made in house or brought in from a good bakery.
Pam Levinson
We were a group of 7, some had breakfast some had lunch. Omelets, Berry Crepes, Juicy burgers. Great fresh fruit. Hash browns were crispy. Pancakes were plate size. They also have a gluten free menu. You order first and pay at the counter. Good service, food came out quickly.
Kim Donehower
Everything perfectly cooked and great house-made biscuits.
Todd Huber
this place rocks. I've never had a bad meal here, and the taller dude always seems so genuinely concerned with how long it is taking to get my food to me, which is comforting while never necessary because the food always takes the exact amount of time it should, cosmicly.
whats the story with that name though, i wonder?
Jessica Copeland
Amazing food! Excellent service! Great owners!
Jay Miranda
Visiting Minnesota from Dallas and stumbled upon this place. Went to brunch and we had the Cuban breakfast and chilaquiles. Both were excellent and their home made toast is to die for. A hidden gem.
Tiana Lucas
Ordered the chilaquiles... interesting interpretation. The homemade chili had carrots....overall ok place
Patty Storevik
Can't wait to return! Wonderful!
Sekaidah Rogers
Decided to get breakfast after dropping a friend at the airport, and I'm glad we did! This place is so good! I'm a big biscuits and gravy person, but these hasbrowns stole the show! They were honestly the best hash browns I've ever had. My husband got the chilequilas, which were also delicious and pretty spicy!
Marc Radinzel
This is a no frills neighborhood cafe serving up some of the most delictable breakfast! The hashbrowns we're so perfectly cooked and crispy that the crust almost melted in your mouth while the insides were creamy and flavorful! Everything was so fresh and expertly prepared. So many options! I can't wait to go back. Give this place a go!
Foxy “Vulpes Vulpes” The Champagne Fox
"Berry Sweet" Local place to sit down and enjoy a nice breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! All employees were very nice and the food came fast! Would eat there again!
Tim Higgins
Stopped in for a late breakfast / early lunch with my Dad after his appointment at the VA. We both ordered the berry crepe and homemade bacon. Both were delicious!! Service was fast and very friendly. Look forward to our next visit.
Karissa Kelley
This is our favorite place to go for breakfast! Their homemade jam is amazing and the fresh baked bread is great too! Everything we've tried there is great! They do a buffet on both Mother's Day and Father's Day that includes some of their top selling items. One of my favorites is the banana foster french toast! The desserts and pastries are amazing too!
The customer service is wonderful. They are family owned and treat everyone who walks through the door like family too.
Mario Gonzalez
The food is absolutely amazing. French Toast, Breakfast Burrito, and Cubano breakfast are my favorite. I love this place only advice I would offer is for them to get real systems in place, hosting and waiting staff for the sit in business, the line and taking orders at the counter can put a damper for those new customers who aren't willing to wait for a line at the door with empty tables in the dining room. I would also suggest another point of sale system, the faster you get people paying the more money you can take in. Systems could be better but I give them 5 stars for quality over time any day. Thanks
Adeline Angst
Lovely place that makes most - if not all! - of its food themselves and/or from scratch. Orange juice is fresh squeezed, and their cakes, breads, and desserts are made in house. They serve a good selection of both lunch and breakfast, though they have a wider selection of breakfast options. Can be a tad cramped inside, but mostly because it is a popular place! They take care of you there with a local, friendly feel. Great place to stop for breakfast, brunch, or lunch with family, friends, and/or coworkers. Would recommend!
James “jimmyjames” McNamara
Best food in South Mpls. It’s hard to believe such a gem exists inside an unnoticeable bland building in a quiet neighborhood of working class The hand made deserts alone would rank this place on the top of anyone’s list. These deserts could be found in the best bakeries of Europe. The main dishes are equally worthy of my high claims. So much to say about such an unpretentious restaurant. Nothing has disappointed me yet.
Vennessa K
Biscuits and gravy were wonderful!! Love this place!!
Michelle Nget
Perfect place to start off our Girls Day! 🤍 Highly recommend the Banana 🍌 Foster French Toast & Strawberry Mimosas! 🍓 🍹
Austin Braham
Was very tasty! Quality was impressive. I'd say it was slightly overpriced for what we got, but still quite good!
Nikki Heikke-Evans
Absolutely love this Family Diner. They are wonderful and friendly people who make extremely tasty meals for a moderate cost. Well worth your time and money to check this out. Your palate will thank you.
Will H.
I've eaten here several times and enjoyed the smaller, family owned atmosphere. They make their own bacon. Awesome👍 They could be more inviting/ involved with their customers. …
Abhinav Sambasivan
Nice little place for a wholesome breakfast. Ambience is not the greatest, but the food is simple and delicious. Their house made desserts and breads are fantastic. AMAZING French toast, good (but a bland) omelette, okay-ish pancake.
Lisa Romano
A bit of a wait to get food, but so very very very worth every minute. The berries were fantastic! I will definitely be back to gorge myself on berry french toast in the future.
Paul Tucker
Our group of 9 came up from Iowa for a conference and we were looking for a final breakfast before we made the trip back. Sweet berry was on the way, and we certainly didn't regret it. You get a lot of food for the price and the staff are super friendly. Delicious food, in a cute hidden part of town.
Highly recommend!
Felyn
Really good food in a run down diner. If we weren't around the area, we may not consider it worth it. We were here for breakfast and options are few and it seems like they have a handful of signatures that people always go for. Probably a very cute neighborhood diner but not one I would go the distance for. Service was good.
Kevin Mendel
Breakfast is phenomenal! Owners are great and the food is always top notch. Their homemade pastries are excellent as well. Highly recommend!
Fahad Nur
I've been eating at Berry Sweet's almost every morning since I we've moved in next door. The food here a flavorsome and fresh. One of the best restaurants in Mpls.
Adam Bechtold
1st time going to this place. The order placement can only be done through 1 person at the counter. Sunday morning was very busy. Otherwise, Food was fantastic. Had crapes, bacon, and hashbrowns which tasted amazing with fresh fruit and cream cheese.
Brad Dimond
The food is very good, the coffee is weak for a diner. The bacon waffle was outstanding with good balance between the sweetness of thee waffle and the salty bacon in the batter. bacon. Pricing is somewhat high for breakfast. I will go back and try the sweet potato hash.
Pat Blazick-peterson
Family friendly.
Good food. Busy place.
Michael Proctor
The french toast was to die for, no syrup needed. The sausage had an amazingly great flavor. Ordered a side of hash browns which were crisp and flavorful.
K Gannon
The burgers, sandwiches and banana french toast were both beautiful looking and delicious. The chocolate mousse dessert was heavenly! Everything was made with care and attention to detail - what a wonderful bakery and brunch spot!
Turner Neal
Very high quality of food, but lacks proper ordering systems. The cashier is always busy with multiple things which makes the ordering process slow. I've also had two occasions when people who ordered the same dish after me received their food first. Finally, had a 40 minute wait time for a berry waffle and then it arrived seconds after I asked, but the waffle was cold.
Edit - service has improved greatly.
Chago Davis
Great food cozy setting & even more important their food is consistent. I've been going here for at minimum 7 years
Larry Lyman
Great place to start the day! We tried the bacon waffle, the strawberry and cream pancakes, the berry crepes and thetradional eggs, sausage and hash browns...even tried the Cuban...all really good! Great staff, good prices... enjoyed our visit.
Kimberly “Reinhart” Bennett
Love Berry Sweet! The staff is wonderful and the food is always delicious! I have never had a bad experience. Kids enjoy the food also. And words don't do justice to their desserts. You'll just have to try them!
PK
What an awesome place. Folks, don't judge a book by its cover. As you approach you may be skiddish based on the building it's in but I assure you this is a diamond in the rough. What a great breakfast. Banana french toast and house smoked bacon were the best thing ever. I cook all the time so I'm super picky and let me tell ya this dude (Blake Shelton's brother?) Can throw down. Thanks for a great memory I'll be thinking about it for a while
Olgie
Nice establishment. Cashier could have been friendly, but wasn't. That's ok, I guess she was too busy. Banana berries French toast looked very beautiful, however overpowering sweetness, my daughter couldn't even finish it-and she normally would kill a dish like that. We both had the same thing. I also had scrambled eggs, and that was delicious. The orange juice was great. My husbands burrito was just ok. Didnt taste like mexixan chorizo, it was just ground beef with cheese onions and green peppers. He wasn't impressed. All of that came out to 48.00 which seemed a bit pricy. Overall, not a bad place to eat at. And out of all these comments, my biggest pet peeve is bad or poor customer service.
Justin Michlig
an amazing restaurant in south Minneapolis. their food is spectacular. they catered our wedding and the food was the best that I've had at a wedding! their fruit filled crapes are amazing, but don't pass up the specials or other items. I have not had a bad meal as a returning customer.
Amanda A
Always one of my favorite breakfast spots. Had something I've never ordered today. The Banana French Toast and it was absolutely amazing. Thank you again Berry Sweet for a wonderful breakfast.
Kyle Morgenstern
Best French toast I've ever had!! In addition, my group was in a hurry and the entirety of our meal and lattes came out in under 10 minutes. Will definitely return.
Kelsey Ravin
Visited at the recommendation of my Airbnb (it's walking distance from where I'm staying) and it's cute! Feels diner-y but also isn't. I ordered the salmon scramble - I would've loved a hollandaise or cream cheese-based sauce as a side option, but the simplicity of the ingredients was delicious on their own! A LOT of food, I took most of it back to the airbnb.
La C
Great food, quaint atmosphere
industrial monk (Industrialmonk)
My absolute favorite neighborhood gem. My family and I live down the street and if their unique flavorful food doesn't raise property values I don't know what will! Small and comfy yet gourmet enough to be considered for the Food Network. Come for the handmade breads and stay for the generous staff.
Hannah Naumann
AMAZING. Cute little restaurant. Love the fact they have fresh berries as their "thing" and available to order. Fresh squeezed juices, homemade bacon, everything made from scratch. Breakfast done right! This would be my go-to breakfast if only I lived closer! Thank you for all your wonderful work and food!
Laura A
Fantastic find! Family ran, cafeteria style with the most amazing french toast, crepes, and chilaquiles!! You order at the counter, sit and wait for your food. Refills of coffee all self serve. Loved it!
Kipp Woxland
I ordered breakfast for carry out and it was delicious. Food was packaged carefully, correctly, and still warm to eat at home! Support this local spot, serving delicious meals!
Anna Simons
This restraunt perfectly lives up to its adorable, punny name.
My grandmother took me to this kitchen on a windy winter morning. As soon as I stepped inside I completely forgot what it felt like to be cold as the warm atmosphere enveloped me. I ordered crepes with hashbrowns and coffee, my gma a sweet potato skillet plate. The kitchen did not disappoint! The crepes were soft, light and felt extra special with the homemade jam that accompanied the fresh fruit and real whipped cream, like a rainbow and sunshine in your mouth. The coffee was smooth and full bodied a wonderful match to my breakfast.
My grandmother allowed me to steal a week bit of her sweet potatoes she was treasuring and as soon as they entered my mouth I felt like melted butter. They were extraordinary! I love when a cook can mix a bit of sweet into an overall savory dish, and whoever made that dish excelled at just that.
Will definitely visit again, and definitely looking forward to it!
Jessica H.
The food is always great! If you have a sweet tooth, I suggest the Berry Crepes, which are made with fresh fruit and cream that will blow anything you could get at Ihop out of the park! I also suggest the Banana French Toast. The toasted Bioche bread has a hint of saltiness to it that really brings out the flavor of everything else and the caramel sauce complements it well. If you are feeling a bit savory, then you can’t go wrong with an Everything Omelet.
Lincoln Crunk
The wife and I found this spot for brunch and we couldn’t be more pleased with our meals. Mexican Omelet and Cuban Breakfast would have taken pics but we were too hungry lol.
Brenda Hieb
My husband had the banana french toast and I had the bacon pancakes. Both EXCELLENT! Service was great as well. We will definitely be back!
James Austin
You will enjoy an excellent breakfast, brunch or sandwich here where most everything is made in house. Pastries and treats are a treasure. A friendly atmosphere and helpful staff for your enjoyment. Quiet environment permits a peaceful conversation.
Recently used Berry Sweet to cater for 200 people and the food provided was delicious. Delivered in a timely manner, hot and ready to serve. Deserts and baked goods are as good as can be found. Truely a one stop caterer.
Jack Randall
Luv this neighborhood Cafe. Had a great family breakfast. Food was spot on. Simple and friendly place. Perfect alternative to the usual franchise places.
Jameson Kennedy
I had tacos al pastor and they were good. I’d eat here again. The other folks had some delicious looking pancakes and omelettes and a burrito bowl.
Hb Fischer
A modest exterior hides brilliant breakfasts, from in-house jam to the best bacon I've ever had I was impressed, and I didn't even have the chance to see the lunch menu before I had decided what I wanted!
Emma Catherine
AMAZING! Wonderful service and a friendly environment. The food was delicious and was presented beautifully. Very reasonably priced, around $10 for whatever breakfast you're looking at. Would 100% recommend!!
Rei
Friendly staff! Great food, large servings.

Amazing food, very fresh and healthy options. The sweet potato hash is unreal! Love that you order and pay before you sit down so when you're done, you can leave at your convenience.
Jessica Rockswold
This is a cute and cozy no-fuss cafe with order at the counter service and great breakfast food. All of the people working were really friendly and I had a relaxing time. There's a parking lot in the back if that's a concern for you.
Rosi
You have to try the Chilaquiles and fresh juice, you will love Berry Sweet Kitchen.
Highly recommended.
E Kiilu
I had the mexican omelette and the berry crêpes. Both we amazingly delicious. Staff os great food is greater. The had tons of fresh mixed berries in the crepes and this yummy whipped cream (huge scoop) on top. I would have liked the plate if not for the shame. Definitely coming back. My 10yr old son approved too.
Dan Veith
What a hidden gem! Berry Sweet Kitchen took over the old Nokomis Grill not too long ago, and they fill the spot well. The menu is comprised of an assortment of traditional breakfast and lunch options; however most options have a slight unique twist but still maintain the delicious home style cooking flavor. A few highlights include homemade juice, jam, bread, and desserts. The food has always been fresh, hot, and very flavorful. If they run out of an item, the owner/chef is quick to accommodate any replacement. The restaurant still maintains the old Nokomis grill decor, which I imagine Berry Sweet will replace when they are more established. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Eat here soon!
Andrea Bailey
First time here with some friends. Amazing service and delicious food. The portions are beyond generous and the atmosphere is real chill.
Gage Bauserman
Great atmosphere and service. The French toast was incredible and the bacon out of this world.
Anons Anon
We tried this place because the reviews were so positive. Here was our experience: We walked in and realized it was an "order at the counter" restaurant. The order taker had a bit of a nervous, flighty, "there's too much on my plate" vibe and gave off the impression that he was recently hired and today was his first day flying solo. However, after some observation, it also seemed he might have actually been a manager or something...Anyways-
We ordered, but didn't get a number to set at our table, which I thought a bit odd because it was fairly busy, but chalked it up to them having some other system of keeping everything straight.
After sitting at our table for a little while, my husband takes our son to the bathroom, leaving me at the table by myself. During that time, I see a food runner carrying a plate of pancakes around and asking a couple different tables if they ordered them along with eggs benedict, but he did not approach our table. I'm assuming it was because I was sitting alone.
Then food runner disappears for a couple of minutes. During that time, son and husband have returned. If I was a little dubious before, I'm now uncomfortable with their ordering process and not so confident in their ability to get us our order correctly.
Next, I see food runner asking cashier about where to go with something. He points him in our direction. My eggs Benedict arrive. Food drop is incredibly quick. Then my son's pancake and my husband's breakfast comes, but without the side of pancakes that came with his meal. Again, quick drop, without being asked if we needed anything else. I go find my own ketchup. My son does not have any butter for his pancakes. After a few minutes, we catch the food droppers attention as he is delivering pancakes to another table that we still need pancakes to complete husband's meal. They are brought out immediately (I hope they weren't the same ones I had seen circulating around initially while husband and son were in bathroom). Those had enough butter for son's pancakes too, so we were good to go.
The food itself was decent. My husband thought the pancakes were really good. My hollandaise was broken, but still tasted good. Obviously, I think the service needs work. I don't like having to be to feel like I have to be proactive to make sure we get our order and get it right. Had the food runner not been a 19 year old who couldn't be mustered up enough to care, the lack of organized service might be stressful for the servers as well.
We're not in a hurry to be repeat customers, but despite the chaotic food delivery, we may be open to giving them another shot and trying some of their more sweet breakfast items, going earlier when it's less busy, and making sure we get a number to set at our table (they do have them, but use inconsistently I guess- we did see people with numbers who arrived after us).
Because there seems to be such positive reviews about the service, I'm guessing our experience was an outlier? Maybe others consider it part of the experience?
Andrew Malovrh
Food was good. I did take out, so I didn't really get a chance to stay there and eat. Latte though was a dreadful. 😆 …
Michelle Mlsna
Fabulous diner. Very diverse clientele and staff. A LOT of food for your cash.
jim bohl
I love this little place. It's close to my house for a short walk. I think they recently got a new owner but they kept the old recipes and staff. Fair warning it's not large inside and they get busy on weekends. Still really worth a try.
Lindy Miller
The wait was very short and the food was amazing. Wish I could have tried the brunch drinks. They looked wonderful too.
Evonne Cox
Absolutely a must to enjoy a wonderful breakfast. We had the banana French toast and sausage gravy bisquit. Clean. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
Matthew Marty
Very good locally owned brunch and lunch spot. Service was amazing and the owner was very kind to us, check them out! The Mexican omelet was awesome.
Drew Larson
The banana french toast is probably the best french toast I've ever had.
Bob Fried
This has become our regular Sunday morning bike destination, about 9 miles from home. The food and service are excellent and the area is beautiful to ride. If they had bike racks this would probably become popular with many local cyclists.
JohnBryan Zambos
Awsome little neighborhood restaurant. Favors are great!! Prices are good, Remember people, Something-Anything is only expensive in the absence of value, Having said that. Great value.. Aloha.
edr ekow
First off -- solid coffee. Friendly staff explained to order at the counter. Started with a complimentary sample of the homemade toast w/ whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Enjoyed the salmon scramble and a special, savory waffle with egg, kielbasa and mixed greens. All was unique and tasty. We will return if we get the chance. As out-of-towners we discovered while driving by as map search for restaurants shows defunct Nokomis Cafe.
Chauncey Strum
Very modern decor. The wait staff was very attentive and very attractive.
Pamalla mielke boyce
Really good food! Loved it, my 1st time.
George Kell
Pretty awhile spot! Nestled away in South Minneapolis, this is great spot for breakfast, confectionery, and lunch. One of my favorite places to eat. Get the bacon, if it doesn't already come with what you ordered.
Shelly Tregillis
We arrived at around 8:45 on a Saturday morning and had no wait. Food was fast and delicious, great staff. You order at the counter and serve your own beverages (except some juices in the cooler behind the counter)
Alla Martell
Me and my boyfriend got here around 9am and place was busy already, worth the wait because when we got the food. We forgot about the wait and enjoyed our delicious homemade breakfast.
I got Berry's Crapes.
Dan Nelson
Everything omelette is amazing. Great bfast spot. Last time they smoothly accommodated a large group of 15 or so. Appreciated it given that it's not the largest place.
Bo Young
Great breakfast spot! Bacon was some of the thickest I have had and the French Toast was perfect.
Sarah Arnold-Simondet
This was such a lovely brunch spot. The food was wonderful, the service was great, and atmosphere was so homey!
We were so glad we discovered this great place!
Timothy Walker
I'll be back. I saw a pic of their breakfast sandwich and had to try one. This was NO egg mcmuffin! A perfect blend of egg, chorizo, and cheese, overflowing a grilled hoagie bun. It was 3 bfast sandwiches in 1! Yummmm. Maybe should have shared it, but I didn't. T
Jordan T
Good was hot, and quick to come out. I got the French toast with hash browns. Food was okay.
Phalgun Lolur
Amazing breakfast place. Fast service
Peter Hinaman
Very tasty pancakes with huge pieces of bacon!
Carey Wolfram
This is one of our favorite places. We have moved but try to get here when ever we can. They make their own bread so the French toast is to die for. Everything is amazing you can go wrong!! It's a must try
Amy Krause
Great food, everything was made correctly and awesome portions! The staff is friendly and we will definitely be back soon
benjamin bryan
Great breakfast options! Particularly enjoyed the biscuits and gravy! Homemade biscuits homemade gravy;) All scratch cooking everything made there....
Brian Hauger
Great place for breakfast or lunch. Food is scratch made. Everything from the bread, crepes, salads, sandwiches, omletes is amazing. My wife says they have the best French toast.
Morgan Mains
They make their own bacon, donuts and so much more! Great food and excellent service. Can't wait to eat here again.
Daniel Jarratt
The caramelized banana French toast is my favorite brunch item in the Twin Cities. Delicious food, friendly owner. Very good experience.
Barb Kolesar
Presentation of the food plate was excellent ,serving sizes are very large, the employees were very kind, professional and helpful. Wish there was a few more selections on the menu but all in all excellent place to dine out.
Jeff Hames
Best breakfast burrito in town! Excellent baked goods as well.
Steven Brezenoff
The food is great to excellent. However we cannot fathom why they have customers order at the counter. The staff is ample for table service and frankly the counter ordering is inefficiently managed and usually quite slow. When it's crowded, confusing as well. With table service I'd add a star.
Corine Kohler
Some of the best breakfast food I've had! French toast, cinnamon rolls, happy carb coma for the day.
Warren Westcott
I had lunch @ Berry Sweet Kitchen today and indulged myself with a Juicy Lucy with fries. Amazing food, lots on the menu and great lunchtime atmosphere. I'll be back for more variety soon.
John Flores
The food is delicious! The berries seem sweeter than I've ever had. Banana French Toast and the Berry Waffle were amazing.
Ellery J
Solid breakfast place. Low key but good made from scratch meals. Waffles ate only slightly above average but the other meals are usually very good.

Fantastic place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. I was more enthusiastic in my recommendation before seeing a sign on my last trip banning substitutions. I don't like recommending restaurants that do not allow substitutions.

Super friendly service and great food. Home baked bread and amazing pastries. Love the French toast. Nothing like it at other cafes.

They were extremely busy! There was only one person at the register there was a line out the door! They did not wear gloves! kind of a scary situation when they are allowing everybody into the building at one time not wearing gloves just kind of seeming like a disregard for people's health and safety!
Charles Capien
