Reviews of 112 Eatery
Daniel Page
Service was excellent from the moment I walked in, very pleasant and attentive, Katie was very friendly and efficient. I would have preferred a soup or small salad to start with but there were neither on the menu, the spicy candied pecans are kinda cool though. The beverage that I ordered was mixed appropriately and as ordered, the halibut dinner was unique and very good, the side of parmesan gnocchi were soft pillows of joy and the Mocha mousse was very tasty.

I am a fan of the 112 from way back but haven't been here in 3-4 years...I was not disappointed. Our server was attentive, including asking if he should be aware of any later engagement we might have (indeed we were headed to a show after).
We took the route of sharing small plates. Scallops, octopus, lamb and carrots with marscapone all had something unique in their preparation and presentation.
When we couldn't decide on dessert, our server recommended the chocolate espresso mousse torte... It's been a while since I've had anything quite that dreamy. Well-balanced in terms of richness and textures and a side of whipped marscapone was a nice touch.
All in all, our experience was a lovely start to an evening downtown. ☺️

Still one of my favorite spots in the Twin Cities for higher end comfort food. The service is outstanding and everything on the menu is good. The crab salad and khinkali dumpling are phenomenal.

Love 112. Have always loved 112. Sat at the bar. Pictured are gnocchi, White Russian, 112 burger, and 2 drinks I don’t recall the names of!
Cyrus Rezvanifar
Absolutely fantastic food with cozy and chic atmosphere! The octopus meal might sound like an adventure, but it tastes like the best seafood you can imagine! We also tried the tagliatelle with foie gras and the stringozzi with lamb sugo (pasta with ground lamb and tomato sauce) — wonderful gifts for the taste buds! For those who live in the Twin Cities and think like myself that Cafe Latte has the best tres leches in town, try a piece of tres leches here and you will never go back to cafe latte!
Gunnar Blakeway-Walen
One of the best restaurants in Minneapolis! The menu is phenomenal! The manager Joel is very nice and made us feel at home.
Neil C
As always the food and service were amazing. Our waitress recommended most of our food and we loved every dish.

Decided to vacation in Minneapolis with my Fiancé for the night and decided to try this hole-in-the-wall and let me tell ya, the food IS phenomenal. We tried the nori crusted bavette, frog legs and stringozzi. Everything was just SOOO GOOD. I don't typically like pastas or marina sauce but I tried some and it was addicting. Their bavette was to die for. I'm coming back!!!
Melanie Dunker
So delicious!! Highly recommend burrata toast and cauliflower fritters. Incredible!! So full.

Amazing - AMAZING cuisine... such a quaint MUST SEE spot in the cities. The wait staff are so attentive and sharp, orders came out swiftly and elegantly. The menu is very eclectic and classic, you feel like you have the chance to try their endless variety of flavors on! Bountiful possibilities - and the MOST praise has to go to the chefs, who continuously crank out literal ART. Bravo! Please come here for great meals and posh drinks! I LOVE THIS SPOT.

Most tasty frog legs I have had so far at American restaurants. It’s located in a historic building with nice ambiance. I’d like to visit again
Lindsay Berg
We had a delicious anniversary dinner at 112! We got the PAN-FRIED GNOCCHI W/PARMIGIANO
REGGIANO as an app, then TAGLIATELLE W/FOIE GRAS MEATBALLS and PAN-FRIED HALIBUT W/PROSCIUTTO CRUST w/ SALMORIGLIO as our entrees. I got the MOCHA MOUSSE TORTE w/whipped mascarpone for dessert. But I would go back for the HONEY SEMIFREDDO w/hazlenut crumble and honey-lemon caramel dessert alone. The atmosphere was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will be going back.

5 stars! If you’re missing good customer service these days, stop by! Everything from pre-bussing, drink refills, to our server’s menu knowledge was perfect. They also have frog legs on the menu if you’re feeling adventurous. Would eat here again!
Pictured is the nori crusted bavette with ponzu sauce.

My wife and I chose 112 as our first date night out since our daughter was born and we are so glad we did. The setup of the restaurant being both downstairs and upstairs is so unique and a layout we have never seen before. We had the burrata toast to start and easily could have eaten another serving because it was so tasty. My wife had the halibut per the recommendation of the bartender and she was not disappointed. I had the lobster gnocchi and it melted in my mouth. We shared the coconut cake for dessert and while it was tasty, I don’t know that I’d get it again. Overall, we had a great date night and will definitely be back again to try more from the menu.

Local downtown restaurant with some organic items on the menu. The restaurant was very busy so we sat at the bar, but I think that was the best table in the house because the bartender was the greatest help. Very flavorful dishes that will make you want to come back for more! Even for me…dairy free and gluten free options too.
J Hayward
Really great experience for my wife and me. Service was outstanding and the food was some of the best we’ve had in the Twin Cities. I encourage sharing since all the dishes were unique and flavorful. The octopus appetizer and the halibut main course were particularly outstanding but really everything was top notch. Highly recommend!
Sarah Sue
Simply WOW! Cozy spot in the heart of downtown. The food is absolutely delectable. I'm not a super adventurous eater but ventured out and tried the lamb and foie gras and I'm addicted!!
Recommend making reservations and expect to stay for 1 1/2 hours to enjoy the experience.

Five stars, but: get ready for rock concert levels of noise while you are there. You can easily drop 100 a seat and it will be money well spent. Tastes are nuanced, service is excellent, rustic building, some of the best cocktails I have had in my twenty year war against my liver. We had early reservations and were having one of the best dining experiences I can remember, but once the room filled, it was so loud I couldn’t hear my partner who was two feet away from me. I know it puts staff in a difficult position, but I really would have appreciated them politely asking some of the people who were shouting like they were at a frat party to turn it down for the other patrons. Seriously though, despite all of that, this place is five stars for the service and food.
MOE Saadi
Excellent place if you are looking for a classic bar style restaurant. Cosy, neat and well managed with a great selection of food.
We had the 112 steak Tartar and the scallops w/ oyster mushrooms for food and we had the cucumber press drink , we loved everything:)
Hernán Soto Moraga
Pasta and Seafood specialties. Prices and quality are balanced, but dishes size are a little bit small. Waiters service is very good. A bit noisy restaurant, then the ambient music doesn't make any sense, even more when rock is sounding.
Karsen Yack
Stopped by on a week night without a reservation and we were able to snag two seats at the upstairs bar. This place is beautiful, intimate, and delicious. We had the dumpling, gnocchi, stringozzi w/ lamb, and halibut. We loved every last bite! Do yourself a favor and book a dinner here, you won't regret it.
Micah Beverley
Excellent service and food. The lamb pasta dish is the best pasta I have had in minneapolis. This place is great to come eat solo at the bar or reserve a table for a group.
Allison Taylor
Absolutely incredible dining experience per usual. From the cocktails to the appetizers and entrees. The waitstaff was phenomenal and we enjoyed every moment of our dinner.
HIGHLY recommend the frog legs and gnocchi.
John L
After escaping the 4 Seasons, we made our way over to 112. From the moment we walked in the service, ambiance and overall vibe of the place was captivating. David was one of the most articulate and professional servers we'd ever had. The food was delicious (the new corn side and swordfish is insane). We got in early on a Friday, and officially dubbed it our 'urban escape restaurant'. We look forward to returning!
Annie Rose
This place is amazing. . . Every time! Even if they are having an off night (which is not often) you leave satisfied and happy. We took our young (11 and 8 year olds) kids here tonight and the food, service and ambiance was amazing. 100%. Thank you 112, you rock!
Gregory Schlee
Cool atmosphere. The food menu is great! We shared the buratta with walnut pesto. My bavette was delicious! Wine list and house cocktails were very tasty. Loved the butterscotch budino. Our server was excellent... attentive without hovering. Highly recommend 112 Eatery.
Matt Solomon
Extremely delicious food and the service was out of this world.
JT Byrne
15 years ago this place was stellar, beyond reproach. It spurred so many memories being back here but I can't say that the food was that amazing and this was absolutely heartbreaking for me. Still pretty good but I err on the side of just ok... 4 stars for the memories. Please get stellar again.
Barb Buenz
I never write restaurant reviews but 112 Eatery is special. Fabulous experience! Every choice we made from appetizers to dessert just kept getting better. Our server offered up amazing recommendations in a confident and warm and friendly way. The nori-crusted bavette was delicious. We also had the pan fried halibut - cooked to perfection and the homemade pastas were fresh and delicious. And you must have the tres leche cake! Overall the staff was refreshing and top notch. The atmosphere is to second-to-none.
DPL
Attended a Minneapolis convention and dined with 6 colleagues at 112. Cuisine was exquisite, including the octopus. Great service and reasonable prices. The Go-To eatery in Minneapolis. I'm back!
Doug Eisenschenk
Every member of the staff was amazing and provided that top notch experience you expect.
The food captured flavors that make taste buds dance!
Thank you 112 Eatery for a great evening!
Valerie Couch
Great food and service. The sweet burrata toast as an app was soooo tasty. The frog leg provencal was wonderful and we never leave without having the cauliflower fritters too! Can be a little loud during peak hours, but should be expected in the smaller space.
T Who
Food was ok, but 5 major food items were not available because the fryer was down and no substitutions! At a pricier Restaurant with limited menu items, I feel that is poor… especially when you look forward to dishes and you make it a special occasion to go to a restaurant
Ben Stewart
Great restaurant with friendly staff and tasty food. It's a small place so I would recommend getting a reservation unless you're going off peak hours but I had a lovely experience and intend to go back
De Boever Bavo
Amazing good restaurant with very good vegetable preparations! Very kind staff, nice ambiance. Had cauliflower fritters, kale, perfect tartare, ceviche, sweetbread, platain, caulilini...etc just top quality recipes.
Mister Jon
Food was good, although menu is on the rich/heavy side. Difficult funding a healthy/lighter option. Restaurant is small and doesn't have the best parking (metered street or paid lots are your options). Service was relatively lackluster (server never asked if I wanted a drink refill and took a long period of time to come back to check on our table). Restaurants are a walk through the kitchen (which I thought was kinda neat seeing behind the scenes). Prices were moderate given the upscale vibe. Drink prices are a buck or two high.
Grant Thelen
Very cool spot. Packed on a Wednesday which was cool because it felt like a Saturday night. Service was great for our party of 6. You'll pay a bit more but the food is very tasty.
Chase Nelson
I always see 112 pop up on lists but I haven't ever stopped in. So I'm glad when I made the trip it lived up to the hype. It's definitely not a huge space but it has charm. The menu is small but offers many different choices. I decided to order the Tagliatelle With Foie Gras Meatballs, The Burger and the Tres Leches Cake. Everything was great and what I would consider affordable, considering this is a high end restaurant.
Shane Oborn
Not always easy to get into as this venue is not very big, but is definitely a place where chefs themselves eat!
Don't miss out on their steak tartare! The foie gras this time around was amazing... served with a tomato jam... excuisite!
Jordan Bollom
Wonderful server helped me with my onion allergy. Great atmosphere and unique foods. Definitely recommend!
Melisa Samuelson-Strand
The food is alway impeccable here, beautifully displayed and pleasing to the palate.
If you enjoy a more quiet atmosphere ask for seating on their second level, the room is aired and the light from the city is amazing.
Staff is always amazing here, attentive and knowledgeable without being pushy.
Kelly McCrimmon
Impeccable service, atmosphere, and food - this is a new favorite! The individual items are reasonably priced and you can decide between sharing multiple plates or enjoying a generous portion as an entree. The lamb ribs are to die for- tender, sticky, sweet, and with a light caramelized top! The chocolate torte was a delicious truffle with a chili-spiced ice cream. I will be back! Pictured are the fois gras toast, sweet and sour crab salad, and the 112 steak tartare - all light and delicious! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
VA_Duck
Top Notch without the haughtiness. Elegant selections, expertly prepared, and carefully served. Four of us out-of-towners (Washington & Denver) are here before a Twins game. The restaurant was the talk of the evening afterward. Try this place it's a, not so secret, treasure on the North side.
Megan Skaggs
The food was amazing and our waiter David was so attentive and gave great recommendations for food and wine. Will be back!
Lauren Aust
Date night here a few weeks ago. Waited 20 minutes for our reserved table and after seated, our waitress didn't at least "touch base" with us for 10 minutes. Food was good but not superb. Best appetizer was the gnocchi. Good to try since we're in the neighborhood but honestly wouldn't return/recommend.
Ryan Peterson
The food was top notch. The staff works incredibly well as a team. Our server Sarah was excellent. The music is VERY eclectic.
Kristen Martinez
We went here before a twins game for my moms birthday. The food is very unique and well made, but it is quite expensive. Be prepared to pay at least $18 for an entree. My food was awesome. I had the Asian steak dish and I loved it. The reason I’m only giving four stars is because my brothers dish was not as good. The sauce was overpowering and he didn’t love his meal. Everyone else did through. Also, best fries ever!!
TimThyJ
The pan-fried Halibut was one of the best seafood entrees I’ve had in the cities, and the service was fantastic
Katie Furey
Second time eating here after first eating here in 2013 and everything was as amazing as we remembered. Wish I could give this more than five stars but I'm a huge Isaac Becker fan so a little biased. Romantic setting, amazing food, great drinks upon recommendation from the bartender. We had the truffled honey ricotta to start and ordered the nori encrusted sirloin, veal osso bucco and sides of scalloped potatoes and the scallops with oyster mushrooms. All fantastic, the osso bucco melted in your mouth and the roasted bone was filled with bone marrow if that's your thing. Finished off with the tres leches cake which we had been craving since the first time and it lived up to our hyped memory of it. In all, the special little additions of the spiced nuts and olives at the beginning to the fantastic cardamom spiced almonds and popcorn at the end helped round out an amazing dining experience. Highly recommend to make a reservation.
Chris Buhler
My wife and I recently dined there for our anniversary. First off, Ari was amazing as our bartender/server, gave us fantastic recommendations for food, and make great drinks for us. The food was lights out amazing. The Khinkali dumplings, in particular were so good, I ordered a second one.
Roy's Reels
Great vibes, amazing service, and a phenomenal array of dishes on the menu. We had an amazing waitress, and the food was served very quickly, despite the rush of people in the restaurant. The menu had no descriptions of the food, so we relied almost entirely on our server's extent of knowledge on the cuisine. At first, this allured me to the restaurant, but I now know that I prefer a more detailed menu... it's nice to see the broken down descriptions to better make my opinion. However, I'm also rather broke, so there's more riding on this decision than most customers the 112 draws in. All that being said, I ordered some type of lamb spaghetti, that was good, but nothing too crazy, and I went there looking for crazy. I also didn't think I was ordering a pasta at all, so that was a bit surprising. The other reviewers aren't lying about the crab salad, it is excellent. The mixed drinks were also very tasty.
Alonzo Marsh
This place is absolutely amazing. Stopped in before going to Target Field for a Twins game and my girlfriend and I were amazed. Meal started with bread, olives and these to die for almonds. Their dishes were super flavorful and well portioned. They have some awesome vegetarian options, the gnocchi and risotto were both awesome dishes. And they served some pumpkin spiced popcorn (pictured) that's to die for a second time.
Cole Carter
The staff was super helpful but not overly attentive. The atmosphere makes for a great date spot, dark and intimate. The food is absolutely fantastic, complementary nuts, olives and bread with the meal. The desert is to die for. Parking isn't ideal but I found a street parking spot less than a block away.
Jessica Teppo
I love 112 Eatery! Amazing food, service and a beautiful and romantic atmosphere. Perfect for an anniversary dinner or a date night. I had a halibut dish that was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Frogs legs and tartar were wonderful as well. Go here!!!
Sarah Cook
Hands down our favorite restaurant. The burger and tres leches cake are to die for!
Matt Jacobs
This place has some pretty incredible food, and great service too.
Be forewarned, though, don’t fill up on bread too much.
We got the Ricotta as an appetizer, and I made sure to lick every last bit off the plate with all of the bread that was on the table.
By the time I was done eating dinner, I felt like I could burst at any moment.
But, it was so worth it. The Gnocchi is a must get, but I’m sure you can’t go wrong with any of the options.
Make sure to call ahead for a reservation.
Eric Ebbesen
Best pasta dishes I've had in Minnesota. Cozy restaurant on two floors. Every dish and beverage we had was amazing. Ample street parking.
Jessica Norrell
The staff is amazing. Friendly and attentive. And the food, goodness...amazing. Can't wait to visit again.
Jacob Schurter
My be my favorite restaurant out there. The food is always top notch. Highly recommend the octopus and the halibut.
Cameron King
First time at 112, won’t be the last. Dining room is cozy, service was prompt and attentive. Menu is really interesting, lots of innovative bites to try. Really enjoyed; Burrata toast, Octopus & Swordfish Scallopini (soffrito was a real highlight). Spinach and pea salad was something else, simple but beautifully dressed.
To our surprise, fried gnocchi was just … ok? Fried potato, oil and cheese should be a winner! Plenty of other options to try next time. Five stars!
Jose Benitez
112 Eatery has survived the test of time while still maintaining a solid menu and atmosphere. They have kept some staple items like their stringozzi and lamb sugo while adding great dishes like their Octopus and Clam or their spin to brussel sprouts with anis.
We were excited to see The Prisoner Saldo on their wine menu!
Playlist dissapointed a bit, first time in 4 years so we will let it slide :)
Iden Djavani-Tabrizi
Absolutely delicious food at this restaurant. My friend and I ordered a bunch of plates and split them: we had the pâté, which was tasty with great texture; the steak tartare which was very well made; the Georgian khinkali dumpling was well spiced and the sauce was tasty, although it is just one dumpling per order; the fried halibut with purée is so tender and smooth; and our favourite, the fried cauliflower pieces, which were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, so good. For dessert we each got a piece of the chocolate mocha cake, which was a hefty portion and so sumptuous and delicious. If you want a drink, try the bee’s knees cocktail, it was sweet and strong with a kick of spiciness. If you’re in Minneapolis try this restaurant!
Michelle Vilhauer
Decent food. Cramped space and was extremely warm inside. Crab salad was great, lamb ribs were disappointing.
Leigh Johnson
Best halibut of my life. Tres leches cake was amazing. Lovely little place.
Tyretta Cojolo
The eatery atery.
Casey Taylor has provided the best service of my life. Please eat here and request the bar. Upstanding human being.
We were in between the pate and the tartare but then Casey so kindly alerted us to the complex plate that is the 112 Steak Tartare. A visionary.
Next, the aperol spritz. A light refreshing drink that was the perfect complement to a starter course. Mixed beautifully right in front of our eyes.
His next recommendations blew us away. The stringozzi and scallops. Some of the softest noddles I have ever tasted. Don’t even get me started on the bed of mushrooms with the scallops — will never disappoint.
Just went I thought things could not get better, he brings us a waffle (with the caramel + chocolate and extra whip cream). The perfect ending to such a night like no other.
Casey Taylor, the gem of the 112 Eatery.
Also ask for Haley, she doesn’t serve yet but man can she talk about a menu. Cannot wait to eat at the eatery again.
Colin LeMieux
Quaint venue with high class menu. Cheese plate was a hit as an appetizer so much so that I couldn't finish my burger. Using English muffins as buns was a nice touch for a high density, filling meal.
Dustin Hoffmeister
First time back in a while. The food is solid, but the Twin Cities food scene has a lot more competition these days, and 112 is no longer at that top tier.
Dan Gregson
I was looking for good food late at night, and I lucked out. 112 Eatery is a bar with a really great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and delicious food that takes a imaginary spin on traditional bar food. I got the burger, which came on an English muffin, and had this really great cheese on it. It was excellent! I have and will continue to recommend people to this great bar!
Michael Calhoun
Romantic, cozy setting with exposed brick and thick old wood beams. The food is outstanding and so delicious, every dish impresses. The wine list pairs perfectly 👌. This is a wonderful spot to celebrate or anytime you're looking for an outstanding dining experience. …
L.D. Ayers
Best to order multiple things and share family style at the table. I would recommend the 112 Steak Tartare, lamb scottadito with yogurt sauce, and the gnocchi was amazing!! Had wonderful red wine selection. Has more seating on the 2nd floor.
David Edison
I really liked this place. They have two floors and I would suggest you get a reservation if you want to sit at a booth. If no reservation you can sit at the bar if there is room. The staff is very nice and the food is amazing. We are definitely going there again.
Edgar York
One of my favorite restaurants in Minneapolis, the food was delicious, the service was fast. Great drinks also !
Jeff Norton
Always awesome experience. Great wine list and amazing food (get the gnocchi)
Asa Morral
Chicken Foie Gras was delicious. Stuffed Chicken wing was juicy. Bavette Steak was savory.
Nicole Monet Rizzo
They gave me a dairy free menu when I told them I was allergic to dairy!! And it was biggg! I ended up with a delicious seafood dish. Beautiful cozy place. Highly recommend.
Thomas Smith
We shared the rabbit pate the grilled octopus the Dumpling with the lemon cream sauce the gnocchi and the lamb chops with pesto yogurt paired with a beautiful bottle of wine and absolutely the best service ever from our server/bartender. This is a meal I cannot stop thinking about it!
Timothy McCormick
Delicious, interesting food. Great service. Fun, eclectic crowd. Little bit cramped for space.
Alpacas_RULE
Great food downtown worth the visit. We tried on Friday without reservation and failed miserably so book in advance and you won't be disappointed.
Adam Barrett
We took out-of-town work colleagues here and, as always, were pleased with the service and everything ordered.
Lamb, prawns, dumplings for appetizers.
3 of us ordered the halibut, 1 ordered Stringizzozi with lamb sugo.
Dessert was butterscotch budino...
Everyone felt the food and service exceeded all expectations.
Wonderful gem in Minneapolis.
Victoria Grove
We have a new favorite place now! Usually we end up sharing everything that we order and 112 is perfect for that! We ordered the pan fried gnocchi and the cauliflower fritters to start then we shared the tagliatelle w/ foie gras meatballs. Everything was amazing, but the cauliflower was our absolute favorite. We can't wait to come back for more! It does help to make a reservation but we got in in 3o min without one too.
Nauhar Rana
Lovely little place- very busy on the weekends! The steak was in a sweet sauce( which I would have liked to avoid and that’s why the 4 stars) but a nice cut of beef! Good service!
Nicholas Popehn
Overall awesome, fortunate enough to walk in and get a table for 4, Dinner and service were perfect!
Christopher Maurer
Continues to be one of the top restaurants in Minneapolis. Small place, so get reservations. Food is creative. We loved sweetbreads and steak tartare; the burrata with walnut pesto was too sweet, the only miss of the night.
Anna Cox
Delicious, knowledgeable and kind staff. Pictures are of the Scale PS with Oyster Mushrooms and three pastas are pan seared gnocchi, stringozzi with lamb sugo (small plate), and Taliatelle with foie gras meatballs (small plate)
Dean Trimble
This small, cozy restaurant is everything you would hope for in a nice evening out. Although the noise level is high, the food is great!
Our server was fantastic and never missed a beat.
We ordered the an fried gnocchi as one of our sides and don’t let the simple description fool you, we have not stopped talking about it to friends ever since.
I ordered the steak with wine reduction and it didn’t disappoint. I am not a fan of Foie Gras terrine but it was good.
A lot of what we had is not on the current menu so check that out before you go. My only critique is I wish they had pan seared Foie Gras.
Kari Saunders
The host, Joel was really kind and went out of his way to make sure my husband and I had an amazing dining experience. The halibut was amazing, cauliflower fritters were to die for! Kate was an attentive and personable server…so happy we decided to eat here.
Emmanuel Mate-Kodjo
Very cool spot. Cozy and classy. It was busy, but we were still able to have a conversation without having to yell. All the food was very good!
Darius Elder
This is one of if not the best restaurant in the downtown Minneapolis area. Food is exceptional every time I've been here. Most recently I enjoyed the Halibut and roasted brussel sprouts. Absolutely delicious. In addition to the food the spirit selection is too notch and there must be a mixologist here because the cocktails are unique and very good. My only recommendation is to get a reservation early because it can be tough to get a seat without one.
B Gilbert
Can't go wrong. From burgers to pastas to foie gras the menu has something for everyone. Fit for foodies but your plain dinner buddies will be fooled into loving every dish. Pay for the certainty of great food. Solid beverage menu as well. Smaller dishes great for group sharing.
rudekaiser92
That brisket point was like cutting through butter and the green beans, my goodness they were heavenly. Great place to eat. They have one of the best old fashioned cocktails. Hands down one of the best restaurants I've enjoyed in a while.
Mark Kelleher
We've been aware of the 112 for years now, but it never worked out for us to visit until today. We were downtown for a show at The Fine Line, and we walked in right after opening. We were lucky enough to get a table, and we were not prepared for the experience that awaited us. Our server, David, was attentive without being overbearing. He made a point of asking if we'd visited before and took the time to break down the menu and point out his faves in each category. The 112 Old Fashioned was excellent. The romaine with Parmigiano Reggiano seemed like it would be a simple enough starter, until we tasted THE 10 YEAR AGED SHERRY VINAIGRETTE! It took a relatively humble plate of lettuce and cheese to a whole new level. My wife ordered the brisket point with slaw and horseradish crema. I got to try a bite, and it was incredible. I had the tagliatelle with foie gras meatballs. This was so much more than a plate of pasta. It was amazing. One of two meals I've had in the last 10 years that literally transported me to another place. We finished with lattes and the coconut cake and, again, were blown away. I've never been sure if I bought into the idea that food made with love was a real thing, but i promise you that you taste the love in every bite at the 112. I honestly can think of another meal that was so solid and so complete from every possible angle. Just incredible in every way. I can't wait to go back. If you haven't been, I can't possibly recommend it enough.
Eric Klis
We have been here many times - always high quality. Can be noisy and crammed. But attentive and thoughtful service. Portions and options make it easy to try things. Desserts are fantastic - for me the tres leches cake is legendary.
benjamin hawkins
The ambiance her is divine. I sat at the bar in the corner and just took it all in. The business of the environment was muted by my noise cancelling headphones and allowed me to simply be there and engage with my mind and eyes.
Service was a tier above. Truly.
The food is excellent and there appears to be a little something for just about any pallette!
They have a delicious roasted nut mix they give you when you are seated.
If you plan to go with someone I highly recommend taking and Uber, and making a reservation. It's a very popular joint and there is a parking deficit in this part of downtown.
Matt Wempe
With the accolades and high praise surrounding 112 Eatery, I felt underwhelmed.
SERVICE
The service was efficient and readily available. At times workers portrayed a subservient attitude, which felt off-putting.
ATMOSPHERE
The boisterous atmosphere would make for a great stop for appetizers and a few drinks. If you anticipate to have an intimate conversation and meal, this is not the place.
DRINKS
Cocktails felt incredibly lackluster, but the menu is packed with great bottles of both wine and higher end whiskeys and gins.
FOOD
After tasting a range of appetizers and entrees, I was left disappointed. For food at this particular price point, you would expect well balanced and seasoned dishes. Out of the five dishes I tried, I can say only one of them had a tremendous balance that was able to accentuate the focus of the dish.
Overall, the price point does not reflect quality.
RECOMMENDATION
If you do visit, the 112 Steak Tartar is delightful
The foie gras meatballs were splendid, but it's accompanied by lackluster tagliatelle.
Service - 4/5
Atmosphere - 3/5
Cocktails - 2/5
Food - 3/5

Unique experience. Loved the atmosphere. THe service was very good, the food was superb! I had the halibut (I highly recommend) I also sampled some baked bread w prosciutto, the cauliflower fritters, and the Tres laches cake for dessert. It was all so good! Reservations recommended.

Such a wonderful place filled with great memories. And to return on our 8th wedding anniversary, after being away for nearly 3 years, was sheer joy. Then Emily and Mike took such good care of us, sharing what was new, old and slightly tweaked. The cocktails were on point- loved the Bee's Knees and Old Fashion. The wine was perfect for any pairing. And the food, oh so good. From the French fries to the dumpling to the 112 Burger, to the 112 Eatery tartar, to the dessert (get the Budino). Such a great dinner out.
Zach Rhodes
Excellent food and even better when considering the value. Everything is food. Recommend the frog legs, a pasta, and finish with the budino - but you can’t go wrong chowing anything on the menu. Non pretentious, cost atmosphere with excellent service - topped with outstanding food makes this a top restaurant in Minnesota.
Chad Friedman
Amazing and delicious! The nori steak and Tagliatelle with fois gras meatballs were incredibly delicious.
Sarah B
Absolutely fantastic from beginning to end, probably the best restaurant I've been to in the twin cities. Drinks were fantastic, dinner was fantastic, and dessert was fantastic. Love the candied spiced pecans they brought before the meal as well. Service was impeccable. Highly highly recommend.
sharew shoa
The food was on point and great but the serving team? Amazing! One of the best experience I have in terms of service in the twin cities. We all on the table thought so. Definitely, it is going to be my new favorite eatery in Minneapolis.
Nathan K
First visit back since the pandemic re-opening and over all very satisfied. The service had always been incredible and the staff continues to exceed expectations.
With only minor changes, the menu continues to offer a host of mouth watering dishes. Even though I had previously tried many of the other offerings, the item that keeps me coming back is the cheeseburger! Although simple in concept, the combination of flavor offered by the perfectly softened brie over the grass fed beef patty, sandwiched in an English muffin was not only unique but one of the best burgers around. Unfortunately the cheeseburger is now only offered on a brioche bun. While still delicious, it no longer seems special. Unrelated to the bread swap, the brie was also a little on the firm side. Until I have the opportunity for a retrial, the verdict is still out on the revamped burger but would love to see the return of the English muffin!

I look at it this way…
To properly evaluate a restaurant there are 3 main things to consider.
- food (quality, taste, presentation, price/value, etc)
- service (prompt, polite, knowledgeable, accurate, clean, etc)
- ambiance (decor, noise level, style, cleanliness, comfortable, etc).
112 Eatery consistently scores high, for me, in all 3 areas. Well done 112! Thank you.
Samuel Gershman
Charming and classy little place with excellent dishes, cocktails, and wine selection. The frog legs I enjoyed were exceptionally flavorful and tender.
Zach Gill
We had a group of four and went for dinner Saturday evening. The restaurant is small and was very busy but had a cool vibe and good music, in my opinion.
The cocktails were all really nice and the food was pretty good. I wish the menu had a bit more verbiage around the food as we asked our server about 90% of the things on the menu. I may have overlooked the fact, if I was told, the cheese plate had a single piece of soft cheese and bread. I was expecting a charcutier board or at least a sample of several cheeses. I'm not sure what the cheese was as I don't think it was told to us when the food arrived. I didn't particularly care for the single cheese, it wasn't bad just not my style. I was also disappointed when five appetizers showed up at the same time rather than being coursed out, but we didn't ask for that specifically, maybe that's not common here in MN.
The pasta dishes we had were all very good including the gnocchi, the lamb sugo, and the tagliatelle w/ foie gras meatballs. I really liked the burrata and the cauliflower fritter vegetarian dishes. The prices seemed very fair and the quantities of food, in my opinion, were generous.
If I were to go back I'd probably sit at the bar, have a couple cocktails, and order an app or two. I'm not in a big hurry to go back for dinner but would visit again if someone really wanted to give it a try.
Gregory German
Everything was delicious! The stringozzi with lamb sugo my favorite.
Kate Torres
The food is still decent such as burrata and shrimp appetizer. The halibut was recommended and only okay. The menu is not overly pricey and my out of town guests seemed to enjoy their experience and entrees since this was their first time visiting. It's just not the same dining experience that we were used to before. try it
Rich Klein
Fantastic food.
Great service.
Highly recommend.
Laramie O
We ate here for the first time to celebrate a promotion, and had no trouble getting reservations a week in advance. The main restaurant is teeny and adorable, and even at 8pm was bustling! We lucked out and snagged a booth, and it was quite cozy. Being such a small space, it is pretty loud, but it didn't bother us and added to the character and ambiance. Our waitress was excellent and provided great recommendations throughout the meal. We enjoyed some delicious cocktails, and the food was exemplary. We loved the prawns and sweet burrata toast as starters, and both loved our pasta main dishes. Our server was very helpful with portion sizing, and even with the half sizes we were too full for dessert! Overall a lovely experience that we will happily repeat.
Sergey Vardanyan
Frog legs and duck pate are stupid. Service is great. Cozy place
Ashley Lindsey
Best gnocchi I've ever had. Great small space. Super helpful staff with amazing food.
Libby Sullivan
Food is incredible! Love the gnocchi! it is a tight fit and always crowded so i might suggest they expand to a larger location. It is intimate which is nice for a date night or group less that 4. One of my faves in the city for sure!
Junior Herry (Big Jr)
Small plates but extremely flavorful and creative meals
Janet Evans
Truly enjoyable meal with gracious and attentive service. Food was creative and delicious. Tagliatelle with fois gras meatballs was creamy, delicately flavored. Wonderful lamb scottadito was 3 mini, crispy chops in a yogurt pesto sauce. Chevre cheesecake garnished with sugared sage leaves was a step up from the usual heavy cheesecake, nice tang with the chevre. Boulevardier with cherry bark vanilla bitters was pleasant sipping. No water glass left unfilled, several people stopped by to assure all our needs were met. Would make a special trip to Minneapolis just to eat here again.
David Wilson
Phenomenal food, great service. 112 steak tartar, stringozzi, and gnocchi are all to die for. Melt in your mouth perfectly cooked scallops. Treat yourself and go.
Richard Strean
I had a near-perfect meal at this highly professional restaurant, including great drinks, delicious food, and helpful advice from Joel, the bartender. Highly recommended.
Regina Hernandez
We dined in the second floor with great views of downtown buildings and a busy evening street scene. The dining spaces are somewhat narrow and it can feel a bit close to other diners - but on a Thursday evening our room was not crowded. We loved the Cauliflower fritters with Bagnakata sauce - very unique and very flavorful. The spicy Halibut was flaky white, super fresh and just the right amount of seasoning kick. Big wine pours in beautiful stemware.Finished the night with coffee and dark chocolate. Great food & a great experience!
Wen Qu
The dining place is very clean, I can tell that they pay a lot attention to the details. The servers are well-dreesed and professional. Food was alright during my visit. The kitchen took a while to prepare my food, but the quality is decent.
Kevin Krautbauer
Our experience at 112 was pretty good. We sat in the wine room which was really nice since it seemed like some of the other sections could be a bit loud. All the food was tasty, but we found the starters and small plates to be better than the entree options. Our waitress wasn't the most friendly, but her service was impeccable. I'd go back.
Louis Oswalt
Great food. Great service. Very interesting menu items. Recommend the 112 burger.
Raza Zaidi
Great vibe, cozy setup and unique offerings make this restaurant a must try.
Sarah Elm
Amazing experience!!! We made a reservation and sat upstairs. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The food and drinks are to die for. Thankful the staff does not rush you through your meal and is willing to answer any questions for those of us who are not professional chefs. Would 100% recommend for a nice evening out.
Ryan C. Van Wyk
One of the most consistently excellent restaurants in Minneapolis. The food is always incredible, regardless of what you order. The gnocchi is probably some of the best in the Twin Cities. The cocktail menu is solid; the wine list is excellent. This is one of the first options for my wife and I on special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Wonderful dining environment, with an intimate space, whether upstairs or downstairs, first class food, and a professional team of servers.
Sean Springer
Amazing food, super well balanced with tons of flavors. A great place for date nights.
The freebies are nice, especially the nuts before dinner and the chocolate after. If you ask your waiter/ waitress nicely, they will bring you a tub of the nuts to take home for a reasonable charge. So yeah, the service was awesome.
You will want reservations, often a couple days in advance especially for weekends.
Dress slightly nicer.
Angela Pearson
I LOVE 112 Eatery! All the food is amazing here, but I can't get over how wonderful the burger is!!! seriously, try it. I dare you! If the scallops are on the menu you MUST get them! Always a friendly server helping us and you get olives, nuts, and bread served before your meal!
2021, post COVID closure update:
I still absolutely love this place. I was heartbroken that they stayed closed so long. That said, they're open and booming! The 112 burger has gone through a change due to sourcing issues with the English muffin, it's now served on a brioche bun and it's still killer. It holds up to the delicious juicy flavor packed meat patty (still topped with brie). Bread is now a $4 item vs free, but worth it cause it's soft inside and crunchy outside, the butter has fresh flakey salt atop. Everything else is still up to the standard set from the beginning, from the service to the food.
Anu Tripathi
The food was great, but the serving size can vary a lot between entrees. They have a separate menu as well for people with nuts allergy. Their cocktail selection was also great. Make sure to make a reservation before you go!
Tom Gartner
Great service, neat old building, gourmet food at reasonable prices
Paige Bies
This is hands down my favorite restaurant, period. I love them so much I’ve looked into taking out a loan to buy the business in the event they didn’t come back from the pandemic! I have been here countless times, never once had a bad time, bad service or bad food. It’s always fabulous, the food is phenomenal, the service is phenomenal & the drinks are on point. Cheers to 112 & all the wonderful people who work here, you are ALL sorely missed & highly awaited on for return!
Do yourself a favor if you ever go & get the tagliatelle with foie gras meatballs, the fried bread with prosciutto, the scallops, the skate wing & the 112 cheeseburger. Ok maybe not all at once but I do when I go 😂 & the tres leches cake!!!!!! So delicious!
Joanie Mitchell
Loved this place on my last visit. Made new friends at the bar. Crab salad is to die for as are the friend gnocchi. Wait staff is awesome, as one would expect from a place of this caliber. Special orders are done to perfection.
Going back this week for my friend's birthday. What a great place for a special occasion but also for any day after work when there's something to celebrate - even if it's just that it's time for happy hour.
Fun, dynamic, romantic, great atmosphere.
Oh, and no need for a reservation - get there at 5:00 or 5:15 and ask to sit at the bar. I like upstairs, but there's one downstairs, too. Don't wait months to eat here - just walk in and get the same great food and great service by sitting at the bar.
Jeffrey Prottas
Great food, great service... Nice portion sizes. Ask for the vegetarian menu if there isn't enough options on the regular menu. Plenty of great options. We had polenta, gnocchi, tortellini, plantains, salad, and french fries ... All was fantastic. Ordered and shared between the two of us and it was plenty of food.
Rachel Erins
Yum yum yummy. I love it here. Make reservations like two months in advance. It's worth it. Don't forget to get the steak and fried gnocchi. Steak is better than Manny's. Fried gnocchi are yummy and you can't them anywhere else. Service is super duper great. Really fun place and great people watching, too.
J San
Service is on point. Attentive but not intrusive. Dishes do not disaapoint except maybe for their steak special with Nori which was little off in taste and execution. Beef tartare is spectacular
Josephine Walsh
Overall great experience. I recommend making a reservation as we went on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was packed. There was a lovely plate of almonds and olives waiting for us when we sat down. The service was great; never felt like I needed to wait for anything. For food, we started out with the 112 steak tartare. It's different from the regular tartare as it comes mixed
Michele Myran
The food here is refreshing and surprising. Everything from the sweet & spicy candied almonds on the table when you arrive, the unique fresh breads, & the drink menu are a treat in themselves. The menu, however, is the reason you'll be surprised and impressed. Such variety and perfection in each dish. The sweet & sour crab salad will keep my husband coming back again and again. The pork tenderloin with spring vegetables was outstanding! The range of flavors that made up this new, fresh & exciting dish left me delighted and in awe of such a talented chef. Always a favorite place for date night.
Melissa Steele
I'm in love with this place...so much that I forget to take pictures because we are so into the food that we fail to document it 🤦♀️ Everything is delicious but the gnocchi, cauliflower fritters and butterscotch dessert are must-haves. The corn and chorizo was a new one tonight that I hadn't had before and it was 👌👌 Great ambiance, staff and food...win win win. Enjoy!
Rachael
We went late on a Saturday night and I was a bit drunk but I'm pretty sure this place was amazing! It wasn't very busy, nice service and delicious food that was impeccably seasoned. Some surprising flavour combinations that sounded a bit weird but were delightful (e.g. the avocado, orange and cucumber side). Cauliflower side was also great.
Will have to revisit when sober...
Matt H
Just as good as it was a couple years ago - the menu has changed up, but everything we've tried has been great. Wine selection is good, food options cover different tastes, staff is fantastic.
Butterscotch Budino is, hands down, one of the best desserts in the Cities. We'll make a point to come here just for the dessert!
Still one of my most recommended places around.
Jennifer
My husband and I dined here recently to celebrate his birthday.
The food and service were excellent. He had the flank steak with bordelaise, the asparagus and avocado salad and a dark chocolate torte. I had bibb salad, tortellini with mushrooms and the strawberry caramel cake.
I love the music selection and the cozy, warm atmosphere here as well.
Crow T. Robot
The pasta with lamb sugo is phenomenal. I got a half order and it was plenty (only get the full if you plan to share or you like leftovers... Or stomach aches). The gnocchi are also outstanding; they come covered in parmesan cheese.
The chocolate torte is good, but very dark. The lemon/cherry cupcake is also very good.
Place has an odd layout (we had to go down a weird hallway to an elevator to the second floor?) but it was kind of cool. Pretty loud upstairs, but not too bad. Service was a bit slow, but the staff was very attentive on keeping drinks full.
Overall a great experience. I'd go back, and I'd recommend to others.
DJS
Service was excellent. The food was just ok.
Rebecca Miniscalco
Made a last minute decision to go here before a show last night, reservations were booked up, but there is walk-in seating available at the bars (downstairs and upstairs). The food was really good, and the bartender was super friendly and cool!!
Ben Geyer
I ate at the bar and had a burger and a side of gnocchi. The food was good although it didn't blow me away for the price. It is a very small restaurant and it got quite noisy because it was so crowded. I wouldn't suggest it for a quiet date night, but it would be fine if you didn't mind the noise.
Josh Kasten
Had dinner here last night 1/2/20 and the food was great. My girlfriend and I made reservations and we were seated in a both big enough but yet intimate enough for date night. We ordered a few different dishes which were all great. Would definitely go back again!
Faisel Skeik
This place was amazing. I switched to a vegetarian diet recently and I was afraid to be stuck with nothing but pasta when I go to restaurants. At 112, they have a dedicated menu for Vegetarians and Vegans. It was so good!! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal along with all the creative appetizers and side dishes we ordered.
Matthew Patterson
Everything I have had here over several visits has been well executed and delicious! The pan fried skate wing was a pleasant surprise, and very good. You can't miss with the scallops, 112 cheese burger, and the cauliflower fritters.
Robert C
One of, if not my most, favorite higher end restaurants in MPLS. The food and service are always top notch. The menu changes fairly frequently but there are some standards. The 112 tartar is great for a date because you get to 'build your own' with the decomposed dish and it is a nice conversation topic. The burger is always incredible too. You wont regret going, promise!
Shakeena Hunts Along
It’s all about the cake, about the cake! (Sing song voice)! All of the food was super yummy and delicious!
Michael Mosley
Had a wonderful dinner w friends here. Food was creative and well prepared, service was attentive and non-rushed, and overall it was a great experience! 112 is known for a lot more than their cheeseburgers, however, if you have kids in tow (or the young at heart) the cheeseburger, made with Brie, on an English muffin is the hidden gem on the menu. Also must mention the seasoned nuts and olives to start the meal. Always a good meal. So many restaurants in Minneapolis that have wonderful food. We had a tough time deciding on a place to go. We were told by the locals to try 112 Eatery. We sure were glad they did. They were right...food was delicious!! I recommend if you live in Minneapolis or are traveling there, make this one of the places you eat. So good!!
Mert Okyay
Super nice and cozy place. The fact that it is open until midnight was a huge plus for me; especially after seeing a show and wanting to eat after. Lamb and meatballs were very good. Cauliflower fritter was also great with the sauce that came on the side.
Rachel Spike
Went here recently for dinner to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The flavoring of the food was balanced and delicious. We enjoyed the plantain empanada and 112 beef tartare as appetizers - I recommend both. We have the cauliflower/brocolini side with our entrees and it was especially delicious. Server was very pleasant as was the atmosphere. It all fit the bill for the occasion!
George Gonnella
Wow, amazing food. We dropped a bunch of money for a special occasion with 2 other adults, but it was so worth it.
I'll be back soon for a half plate of pasta and some wine and we'll do much better cost wise..
The lamb bolognese style pasta was perfect...
Bill Benson
Had a great time. Couldn't get a reservation, so we ate at the bar. The scallops were perfectly cooked. The mushroom selection was fantastic and perfectly paired. The cheeseburger was stupid good. Ill never eat another cheeseburger as long as I live. I loved that you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the restrooms. This place was all around awesome and I can't wait to return.
Craig Larson
2022 Update: Even better!!
Tony DiSanto
Service, drinks, and food all fantastic!
Most flavorful sweet potatoes I have ever tasted.
My group ordered much of the menu. All said wonderful things.
Highly recommended if you are just visiting or live in the area. Will come again.
If you are vegan or vegetarian be sure to ask for the other menu! They have some alternative option outside the menu I saw online.
Michael Johnsen
Overall a fantastic experience here! I came with my girlfriend on a Thursday night with no reservations, we were told it would be about an hour wait but we would have drinks at the bar. The hostess didn't even take my name down, no texting when the table was ready, she said she would just come get me when the table was ready. It was very personal and she was quite organized. When my girlfriend asked what the sweetest drink they had was, the bartender offered right away to mix something up for her. He came up with a French martini, and it was quite tasty. We were seated only 30 to 40 minutes later, and our server already knew what drinks we had. I ordered the duck pate banh mi and my girlfriend ordered the braised lamb ribs. Our food was excellent.
Overall the atmosphere, service, and food were all top notch!
Kelsey Khow
We had our wedding reception dinner in the wine room and had a fabulous night! The manager Sarah was great to work with and made the whole planning stages really easy. They had us create a customized menu which made our event feel really personalized and also let us bring in our own centerpiece to decorate for the event. Our server was great, the food was phenomenal and I would recommend anyone to have their private event at 112.
Omar Odeh
Still in the restaurant actually and couldn't wait to write a review.
Phenomenal is the only word I can think of. Every course was unique and flavorful with an interesting twist. The cucumber drink twist was excellent...a drink not too sweet but imperceptible to a harsh alcohol taste. Only being in the area for the weekend, I do not think I could have chosen a better place for dinner.
The bartender on the 2nd floor was extraordinary friendly while giving exemplary service to everyone else at the bar.
5 stars is without question.
Mike Guild
Really enjoy this place. Great customer service, great ambience, especially on the main floor (they have a second floor which is also very good, but you don't get the street view windows).
The only reason I am not giving five stars is (1) the seating options can be limited...if I wanted to go with a bigger party-- like 8 or 10-- it would be all but impossible. And (2) the menu is limited which is deliberate, but I would like a few more options...
Regardless-- give it a shot if you haven't gone. They will not disappoint.
Zach Ohly
Very nice experience. Menu is very well balanced, I appreciate that the Chef is not afraid to take some chances here and there. Big fan of the burrata toast, sweetbreads and sweet and sour crab salad. Ponzu steak not my favorite personally but still had a great time. Wonderful waitstaff and cozy tables. I like that to get to the bathroom you must walk right past the kitchen through the expo line. Very fun environment!
Mark Moeller
The food was great. Dinner service was very good. The only negative was the downstairs bartenders. Good drinks, but when we sat down there was no acknowledgement, no eye contact, no smiles, not even a hello. It felt a little like we were in the wrong place. A little odd, but not enough to impact the overall quality of the experience.
Aria Benjamin
My favorite restaurant in Minneapolis. I get the Sweet Burrata Toast every time and it is incredible. I also always order the tagliatelle and the tres leches cake. Everything here is amazing and they switch up their menu too which is always nice. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Nick Chill
Delicious upscale dining experience. Amazing food choices, at a premium price. Delicious drink options. The service was friendly, helpful, and timely. With our reservation for 6, we were in, seated, and had drinks in a very short amount of time.
Mike Twigg
Tucked a little out of the way the outside of the restaurant guides the green which is within. The dining is split between several rooms with a small elevator to take you upstairs. The service was great with knowledgeable and attentive staff. All the food was fantastic. I have been here twice and will definitely go again
Kira Stevens
I called within a ring a cheerful woman answered and helped me book a reservation only 50 minutes out on a Friday night (we were only a party of two) When we arrived the small restaurant had cozy atmosphere and we were warmly greeted and seated shorty. The service was incredible our waiter was polite and had many wonderful suggestions and my glass was always full and empty plates cleared prompty. The food still was able to be the most outstanding part with the amazing service. Great place to eat.
John Putnam
Some of the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Server was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and considerate. Background Music was on point. Dishes were creative and priced at what you’d expect for an upscale tapas place. Craft cocktails were right on par with most others.
Sabrina Spörk Woodling
Simply wonderful. The place is really small though, although it's still intimate, you'll want to call ahead and make a reservation if you want to get seated right away. You're definitely paying for what you're getting, it's not cheap but it's delicious! (You get to walk through the kitchen to use their bathrooms and the environment in there is great as well!)
Ole Johnson
It was my lady's birthday so they treated us fantastic! We had small plates (a lot of them). My favorite was the Snapper Crudo or the Chicken Wing (yes singular). They like lamb and fois there so there are somethings I won't eat but the service especially the food runner (Ava) was great!
Kalia Yang
First impression, kind of a dingy spot. Our table was on the upper level, so we had to take the elevator which smelled like urine. They need to remodel and do a better job at cleaning. I was disappointed. I expected this place to be upscale. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and design did not meet expectations.
Second impression, the service was good. Only negative with service was that my water was never filled. I sat by the wall, and apparently was invisible. However, when I was not happy about my entree, the waiter and several other staff stopped by to apologize. I thought that was real classy and felt they really cared about customer satisfaction.
Third impression, the food was overall good. The blue prawns with rooster mayo was phenomenal. Prawns were nicely seasoned, hot, and crispy. The rooster mayo sauce is pretty much sriracha and mayo, which I loved. My entree was Tagliatelle with Fois Gras Meatballs. My tagliatelle was super salty. The fois gras meatballs though were perfectly seasoned and super flavorful. This was when the wait staffed were super attentive to me and wanted to make it up to me. Instead of reordering the tagliatelle though, I requested blue prawns again because they were so good.
Overall, my experience was good. I would go back again for those blue prawns. I was also happy with the service. I removed 1 star for the urine smelling elevator and cleanliness was not up to par.
Dave Schneider
Great atmosphere, even better food, but the drinks are expensive, and plan to stay for a long time.
The atmosphere is classy, cozy and cool - it had a "sport coat and jeans" kind of feel.
The 112 steak tartar and Stringozzi with Lamb were both excellent and the prices were half what they would be at a comparable restaurant.
The drinks are similarly delicious, but VERY expensive. They charged me $1.50 for "rocks" (ice) in my whiskey sour, bringing the total price to $10 for a regular-sized drink. If you're trying to keep the cost down, stick to nonalcoholic liquids.
The place was very well staffed, and if anything the waiters had a tendency to hover, which is not a big issue for me. The pace of the dinner was very relaxed, (which I liked) but if you're looking for a quick meal before a movie or something, the 112 Eatery may not be your best choice. Our dinner took about 2 hours start to finish.
The only real issue I had was trying to pay. It took almost 45 minutes from the time we asked for the bill to when we walked out the door. The bill was incorrect multiple times, and my card was charged triple the correct amount and the waiter disappeared, so I had to flag down a manager to have it voided. I assume it was an isolated incident, and you probably won't have to deal with that.
Overall, my experience was very good, and would have been excellent if not for the payment snafu.
Mandy McWherter
Selected this restaurant for dinner based on the great reviews and central location downtown and we were not disappointed! We experienced a warm welcome, nice ambiance and great food and wine. Highly recommend the scallops, cheese plate and gnocci (boyfriend called it life-changing!). Also found a new favorite sparkling wine in the Mestres 1312 Cava. This was the perfect start to our evening!
Alejandra Felix
Everything was delicious, we ordered "sweet burrata toast /w walnut pesto" it's a combination of salty/sweet appetizer, I love it! I ordered a criollo pork, lemon ricotta cheesecake and a cappuccino for dessert, cheesecake was really good. Service was excellent.
Remember to make a reservation at their page. There's a parking lot across the street, and also in the street in front of the restaurant.
Ryan Daulton
The food is great, and you can't beat the New York vibe of the place. In fact, this restaurant holds one of my favorite dishes in all of the cities: 112 Tartar.
So why not 5 stars? In my visits, I've found the cocktails to be hit or miss, and the service often varies between courses. I've never been able to capture a consistent service experience here, and that is why this doesn't quite make the 5-star cut, in my opinion.
Alex Glaubitz
My wife randomly picked this restaurant for a celebration dinner with the two of us. We both thought the food was delicious and is an outstanding value for the price vs. quality.
Plus:
-I had the seared scallops and the seafood stew, both were fantastic with the scallops definitely the best I've ever had
-Atmosphere was casual and comfortable if a little dark
-No complaints about the service
-Downright cheap prices for the quality of food
-Online reservation worked perfectly
Minus:
-Beer and wine menu seemed a little limited
-Restaurant area was difficult to find, we had the hostess on the lower level direct us to the upper level where our reservation was
David Williamson
My wife and I visited this evening and had a truly outstanding experience. Our server, Ryan, was beyond welcoming, knowledgeable, informative and make our time at 112 an extremely memorable one! We chose to share a wider variety of meals, so we could taste a number of different things on the menu, that were carefully and eloquently explained by Ryan. The food was equal to the service, incredible and everything we were looking for. As a side note, we can be particularly specific about foods, we think quality of food is vital to the taste and certainly worth a little extra - 11w did not disappoint. If you're looking for outstanding service and delectable food, look no further than 112.
Cassie Glover
This place exceeded expectations. I met 2 girlfriends here on a Friday night and we sat at the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed the genuine service of the bartender and her thoughtful suggestions as she balanced the requests of a full restuarant. If you're looking to snag a table make sure to make a reservation or you will easily have an hour wait as seating is very limited. Menu was very unique in cuisine selections, flavor combinations, and plate sizes. We had fun looking through all of the options and picking a few items to share that you couldnt find on a menu anywhere else! Definitely will be back with friends!
Justin Bjork
I honestly think I just had my expectations a little too high based on what I read prior to coming. The food was good, but not great. We spent over $100 for two people and both were still hungry shortly after. The best thing on the menu is the cheeseburger. One of our courses came out colder than it should've been and the environment was very loud. I would probably give it another try, but I left a little let down.
Melody Gan
Great food and service. I came here twice during a business trip, and I enjoyed everything I tried. My favorite would probably be the scallop and mushroom appetizer. The stringozzi and tagliatelle were both tasty if you like pasta. The tagliatelle was a bit salty for my taste. I like that they offer half orders on the pastas so you can try other dishes. The duck pate bahn mi was really unique and flavorful, especially with the jalapenos. For appetizers, the green beans and the cauliflower fritters were amazing. It seems like a lot of the dishes contain parsley, just as a heads up if you don't like the taste.
Gabe Whipple
I ventured in here on a late night dinner excursion with a friend and was beyond pleased with the food, service and price. We actually let the waiter suggest and surprise us with our meal from start to finish. He was very well informed on the differant menu items and made excellent choices for us on all 3 courses. We had the steak tar-tar, lamb, meatballs, ribs, and an amazing dessert with pineapple ice cream. The food was absolutely amazing and I will suggest and return for more of the elegant food and service. MUST TRY!!!!

This is a great restaurant. It's a crowded place with a great, actively changing menu. There are two floors, but I've only been upstairs for a groom's dinner once. There are bar's on both floors and they make a good Old Fashioned. The bathrooms are in the back. I was told the door to the first bathroom is questionable, so go all the way to the back of the restaurant to the second bathroom.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. The food is consistently excellent, service the best you can find, and the setting is great. I really enjoy bringing people here from out of town as they are always impressed. The menu is also great for guests as it's a little all over the place, but in a really fun way (there's also a range of prices so this can be for a casual dinner or a special night out). The wine list is also comprehensive with fair prices.
While the dishes rotate out occasionally (the octopus & clam brodetto is a highlight), one dish that is always there, and I really feel the need to call it out, is the butterscotch budino. It's a revelation. It's my favorite dessert...ever. To be fair, the tres leches cake here is also A+.
One thing I will say, this place is very tiny. If you're coming with a group larger than 4, I'd recommend requesting a table upstairs. It's less noisy and you also won't risk getting one of the tables near the front door, where you'll have to deal with people awkwardly waiting around and bumping into you.

The food is great at this place. A variety of menu options will beckon you to return for more visits. Be Warned- unless you make a reservation way ahead of time, the wait can be over 2 hours, so plan ahead. If you do make a reservation, they keep the appointment and get you seated. The service was also top notch. Drinks were good. Only bottled beer here. I highly recommend the 122 Steak Tartare, the Lamb Ribs, and the Sirloin. This is a great place for a first date or for impressing a business client. Some items can be a little pricey but there's a variety of a la carte options to help keep it under control.
Adam Knoke
Went for dinner when my wife. Staff was accommodating and helpful. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. 112 beef tartare, gnocchi and the hot buttered bourbon were highlights. Would love to return.
Hope Betterman
Came here for an anniversary dinner and it definitely lived up to all the good things I've heard about the place. It was so good!! I got the stuffed trout and my husband got some sort of pasta dish. The trout was really smelly (some kind of spice on it) but the flavor was spot on. Everything was SO good. We also had Boston bib salad, gnocci, Chinese potatos, and strawberry tart to go. Can't wait to go back!!
Patrick Fuentes
This is, and has been for a long time, one of the greatest restaurants in the Twin Cities.
The food is exceptional.
The service is top-notch.
The cocktails and wine list are great.
This is one of my favorite places to get dessert. You *need* to try Nancy Silverton’s Butterscotch Budino.
Tim Rigsby
Nothing special about the fries. Burger had far too many onions in it. Beer was good. Service was great. Fry bread with prosciutto was delicious. Gnocchi was outstanding.
Josiah White
The complex flavors are difficult to describe, but needless to say this was one of the greatest meals of my life. Here is what's I ate and how it made me feel.
Pan fried gnocchi: oh wow, I had no idea food could be this good.
Bee Knees gin cocktail: slushy texture, lemon and honey gin. This drink could turn me into an alcoholic because I want it all the time.
Panko crusted sirloin steak: the flavor was so different from any steak I ever had before that I wasn't sure I liked it at first. However, each bite assured my taste buds that this Japanese inspired flavor dynamic was a work of art.
Butterscotch budino: texture was similar to yogurt and the slightly sour budino complimented the butterscotch topping beautifully. It was extremely rich, so my fiancee and I hardly finished it.
The atmosphere was dark and intimate, making it the perfect romantic getaway.
Service was excellent and our waitress made wonderful suggestions.
Caleb Schmitt
Visited this restaurant with my fiance on a cold night in December. The layout is quite confusing, with a second dinning room upstairs and an elevator (no stairs) between the two floors. We were seated up stairs which was obnoxiously cold. The wait staff was very friendly and offered to move us down stairs if we wanted to wait but we decided to brave the cold so we could eat faster. The temperature upstairs was unacceptable in my mind which really kind the romance of the place.
We split the gnocchi as a starter which was to die for. Soft and light with just the perfect amount of sauce. My fiance had the pressed chicken which was also amazing, although neither of us cared for the cheese that was used in that dish, which was very overpowering. My bahn mi was less than stellar. In fact, I'd struggle to really call it a bahn mi. Just duck pate on a baguette with pickled veggies. Finally, we had the butterscotch budino for dessert and all the reviews are accurate, it was incredible!
Overall, great service, hit-or-miss food, and an 'okay' ambiance.
Brent Anderson
Service was fantastic! Had great recommendations from wine to food. Went for a date night and had a great time. Was a bit on the louder side but not a problem. Had some of the best scallops I have ever eaten.
Kelly B
We ate here right at 5PM before a show on our last night in Minneapolis. They were very accommodating to our schedule and got our food out very quickly. Both our waitress and her trainee were polite and attentive. I had the basil spaetzle which was prepared perfectly and had a nice heat to it. My husband had the pressed chicken which was tender and flavorful. We split the cauliflower fritters and brussels sprouts - Both were good, but I'll give the edge to the sprouts. The fresh bread was delicious and perfect for sopping up sauce. To end we had the tres leches cake (superb!) and they gave us a small bowl of popcorn with the check.
Danielle Stein
112 is my favorite restaurant. Service is alway prompt and attentive, amd the food is phenomenal. The foie gras meatballs are not to be missed- I order them 90% of the times I eat here. The sweet and sour crab salad, the burger, the gnnochi, amd the plantain empanada are also delicious (although you can say that about everything here). We tried the ricotta cheesecake for dessert and i keep thinking about how good it was. I wish we hadn't shared it so i could have had the whole thing to myself!
Sarah Shekhar
We had the best celebration dinner here! Our waitress was very patient with us and explained all the specialty Vocab without making us feel stupid. Every bite was incredible. Will definitely go back
Christel LaPlante
Service was quick and thorough. Food was delicious. Prices are on point for quality of food. Gnocchi was amazing!
Smruti Kimitch
This is supposed to be one of the better restaurants but my husband and I were disappointed. Despite a reservation, we had to wait a bit and were seated on the top floor, which didn’t have the same appeal as the first floor. The food and service were nothing to write home about. But mostly the ambience was not as special as one would expect of a top-tier restaurant.
Ian Pernick
Fabulous dinner. The squash side was the winner. Both the octopus and scallops were beautiful as well. Emily was a fantastic server and made the night even better. Wonderfully priced wine list too.
Lincoln P
If you’re looking for a place to bring a special date then this is it. We went for Valentine’s Day and were not disappointed. Our first impression we had walking in was that we would be standing forever due to the lack of dining space but then they called my name and said that they were ready for us upstairs. We didn’t even know there was an upper floor to the place! Each food plate we ordered was amazing! The fog legs slid off the bone, the 112 Tartare was perfect, and entrées were perfect! The prices are higher than you’d find at your local restaurant but I went in knowing it was going to cost me more due to it being a higher class restaurant in downtown Mpls especially on a holiday like Valentine’s Day.
Benjamin Hutton
Definitely a good and interesting restaurant. Server told us the 112 Burger was the most popular thing on the menu and I thought, "of course it is. It's the only thing people understand." So I got it. It was solid and interesting. Not the best burger, but I'm glad I tried it.
Liz Erickson Monson
All time favorite place in Minneapolis. Always good service. Always amazing food. Drinks are spot on. There are no photos to share because the ambiance is too good and being in the moment while here is worth it.
Jayson Massa
Another Becker dynamite and is great for dates or a romantic dinner. Intimate and small and excellent food. Foie meatballs is obviously the best know and truly is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Go for the homemade ricotta with honey and truffle. It’s something dreams are made of
Raddie Ruple
This restaurant was one of the first to open in what is now the warehouse district of Minneapolis. Too small to take reservations, they have been packed everynight for years, despite much delicious new competition. But they've been doing it so right for so long that they are still going strong! Superb food!
Ed Sprake
Went here for a group dinner with work and was not expecting something this special. The food was frankly incredible with knowledgeable service who didn't rush you at all. This was an exceptional dining experience, I had some of the best scallops I've had anywhere, and the nori coated steak was ridiculously good. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
John Frankenfield
When comparing price to performance, the 112 eatery can’t be beat! The scrumptious food and the warm, comfortable ambiance are very memorable. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Minneapolis. You will not be disappointed. Make sure you order the 112 steak tartare – trust me.
Elizabeth Larson
Fantastic! Whole experience top notch! Excellent service, fabulous food and loved the added sweet treat and the spiced nuts. Highly recommend!
Ethan Marshall
My new favorite restaurant to go to in Minneapolis, at least as far as gourmet spots you can get into with a small party with little to no wait. Staff is stellar. Cuisine is next level. If you live in the cities and enjoy dining a MUST go!
Sarah Thacker
Just finished a really lovely dinner here. Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing and the food was such a pleasant surprise. I especially recommend the cucumber, avocado, and orange salad. Looking forward to going back soon!
Jeremiah Dittmann
Probably my favorite restaurant in town. The decor, service, food and beverages consistently wow me. I personally enjoy sitting at one of the prime bar stools but the table service is also fantastic. I highly recommend the 112 tartare, the foie gras banh mi, and the brown butter bourbon. Just make sure to carefully read the parking signs out front.
Teransc Phillip -360 Travel
Service was 5 star, last night! The food fell a little flat for us. We ordered scallop mushroom app, prawns app, lamb and cauliflower. It could have been better for example the sauce with the cauliflower was indiscript- neither here nor their. Lanking zang. I really really wanted to love this place. But the price point for what we got didnt really match up.
Michael Hamacher
An old favorite... Unfortunately, the noise level is high, making conversation difficult. Service was good, the empanada and banana tasty delicious. The kale with our Criollo pork was chewy and a strange choice for a Caribbean dish.
Sarah Beckman
Great food, wonderful service. The cocktail list is out of this world. I had the bavette, and everyone else got the game hen. Can't go wrong with any of it. Glad we made the stop in for dinner.
Tim Dolan
Grabbed dinner here with my fiancé after a show Downtown. Apps and sides were great. The squash side and peppered cucumber were amazing and full of appropriate flavors. Our main dishes were a touch off. Not enough to ding the rating, but I wouldn't order the strip or catch of the day again. Flavors were mismatched in the dishes. Our own fault for ordering, just didn't realize some of the flavors would be so over powering. Cocktails were great...hats off to the barkeep!
Linda Obeid
Love this place. We visit often. Favorites are beef tartare, scallops, trees leche and the chocolate flourless cake. Great staff. Good late night hours when in downtown. They are often busy but have a second floor. Easy to sit at the bar for service of you don't have a reservation.
Brett Hebert
The meal lived up to this place's reputation as a Top 5 restaurant in MSP. Really intimate setting, great wine list, and the shared plates makes for a nice date night, if that's what you're into. Also good for a drunken nightcap with friends. Try the gnocchi.
Michael Mcalister
The service was great, the atmosphere was more of an older crowd, 40+, the food was of a different taste than mom's cooking. More of a foreign flavor and spice, still a good meal and conversation place.
Joseph Jurek
In my top 5 best restaurants in Minneapolis. Very consistent, high quality and decently priced. The restaurant is divided by two floors but it's warm, cozy and dim light. Perfect for a date night. Try the Boston Bibb salad, frog legs and basically anything else on the menu. Try their specialty drinks and don't skip the dessert. If you like sweet and dairy Tres Leche is delicious
michael davisburchat
The food is sublime here. I can't wait to come back. But one small request. Increase the point size or contrast on the menu card. It was pretty hard to read about all of the lovely choices.
Dale Marshall
My kind of place! Great service, reasonably priced, casual, many items to choose from and simple good cooking. It's a no brainer. You cannot leave here on an empty stomach or with a frown because I've never had bad service here. We particularly like one waitress that remembers our group even though we only meet here once a month or so for an old pilots club--guy's night! This is how to get repeat business--remember my face or my drink and welcome me with a smile. This is one of the few places I return to regularly because that's just what they do. It's far and few between to get good service and good food at a good price regularly! Thanks!
B Duszak
In from out of town on a date night and could not have picked a better place. The Scallops and oyster mushrooms were to die for and probably stole the show. The chicken and steak tartare were quite good. On recommendation from the server I ordered the fois gras meatballs and was I ever pleased I did. Best thing Ive had in a while. It was a lovely experience
Josiah Owen
Each trip to 112 is a memorable eating experience. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I had the black cod and it was perfectly done. I left nothing on the plate. I left nothing on any of my plates.
Nisha Jacobs
This is, hands down, one of our favorite restaurants. Great Tres leches cake, and we have been coming here for over 10 years. It’s a great date night spot, and they have really good late night eats. Bacon, egg, and harissa sandwich is also a staple.
Nicole DeBace
Always a delight. For more than 10 years, the food has never failed to impress. Eating in or taking out, we LOVE 112 Eatery!
Brian Copeland
Very friendly and professional staff, menu was teeming with possibilities, there's probably thousands of ways a couple could string together a sexy meal. Wait-staff had great recommendations to help you along the journey.
Josh Brody
Among the best restaurants in Minneapolis. Could be the single best on any given night. It's fine, it's cozy (booths are cozy too). The larger pasta dishes are more of a family size.
The bread and butter are worth it, too.
Philip Gissen
112 wasn't up to past greatness this time. In its infancy, 112 Eatery was a pioneer both geographically and culinarily. It helped jump start this hip neighborhood of Minneapolis, and the kitchen was a favorite of restaurant industry workers throughout the city. Unfortunately, food and service were nowhere near this past excellence.
While the burger was as good as ever, and the foie gras meatballs delicious, pastas were incredibly bland, with little flavor. Desserts, once unique and special, were now "old hat," in need of a freshening.
Service started out well, but ran out of steam as the evening worn on, akin to a marathon runner who leads for twenty miles, but fades in the stretch. Our server was "absent" for the last 40 minutes of our dinner. I don't know if we will make it back to 112. Too many Minneapolis restaurants have passed it by. I feel like I've lost a close friend.
Mike Woodruff
Service, setting and food was amazing. The music was incredibly distracting and prevents the fifth star.
Bran Bardwell
Our server was very knowledgeable making our first visit seamless. I enjoyed the tagliatelle w/foie gras meatballs very much. I also had the scallops with mushrooms, an odd paring to be sure but scrumptious. Best White Russian money can buy too.
Grant Taylor
The food was great and the service was even better. I will go there again. My burger had great flavor! Well worth the trip and the cost was not bad at all. Two people can eat comfortably for 50 to 60. Great place. I highly recommend a visit.
Acwownz
Absolutely wonderful dining experience, as is always true with 112. Blue prawns are a must, as well as the prime bavette. Most consistently pleasing restaurant in the Twin Cities hands down.
Duncan Blue
Food is absolutely incredible; that alone will keep me coming back.
That said, the menu is pretty minimalist - it's difficult to know exactly what you're getting. Seating is pretty tight, and our server let a few things slip...
David Nickelson, PsyD, JD
Great place; brought a group from out of town and had a wonderful meal and experience. Casual, arty ambiance that allows for conversation without shouting. Menu and food was outstanding...highly recommend the chicken wings as an add on...!
Geoffrey Ryskamp
Service left a little to be desired (a host stand in the middle of the restaurant didn't help things) in this American gastropub but the food and little extras more makes up for it. The 112 burger is incredible, melted brie over grass fed ground beef on an English muffin. Tastes of seasoned almonds, olives and caramel corn are brought out throughout the meal made me further they did not bring bread until half way through the meal.
Cameron Quear
Went for the first time last night. Fabulous drinks - we loved the various versions of Negroni, the sharp Gibson, the Italian wine options. Definitely will go back for the drinks and some oysters st the bar!
We sat at the restaurant side. Service was attentive but a bit confusing, as it seemed that all waiters/ servers were asking us if we needed anything else, just to have our server come in a minute and ask the same question - not a big deal but still odd that they didn't seem to be communicating among themselves.
The 3/5 stars come because of the food. Burrata was ok but not great (odd pairing with brócoli purée) and the pastas were served with too much sauce, overwhelming the taste of the actual pasta and making the dishes feel pretty heavy. (We ordered the carbonara and the shrimp pasta).
Calin Panzar
Appetizers (foie gras and egg, frog legs, pork and foie gras) and cocktails were excellent, but main fare was incredibly salty in two different dishes. The waiter even acknowledged that they get that comment a lot, which is a baffling response. The service was pleasant enough, but extremely slow.
John Meegan
There is a very good reason why every out of town visitor I take out asks to be brought here. The food is just consistently great. Steak tartare, lamb scotodito, gnocchi, octopus, short ribs are all consistent winners every time, and the best butterscotch budino in Minneapolis for desert.
Kimberley Thompson
Never fails to delight! Bright sweet and sour crab salad, succulent scallops kept simple (which most chefs cannot do!), and hair ribbons of pasta adorned by foie gras! Lovely.
Jeff Johnson
I mean it was exactly as I expected... Class with delicious. I enjoyed my burger from 112 Eatery Little to spend for my Blood. I will say this you do get what you pay for so I am sure those other foods are most delicious. Maybe someday my friends I can grab it up but today you fancied me with the burger and truthfully thats all a guy needs in life is a good burger and a beer.
Mavis Heupel
Kale salad was tough to eat with long wide threads of kale. The pasta with shredded lamb wad good but very lamb in it. Cheeseburger was good. Boudino wad great, my favorite thing! Cheesecake was ok.
Kat Hills
From being greeted right away and getting a seat for three within 10 minutes without a reservation, the service and atmosphere and of course the food and drinks! Everything down to the smallest detail was there. Highly recommended for a night out with friends or a romantic evening.
Carolyn Reed
When we stay in Minneapolis, we always book dinner at 112. Can book easily online. They are always busy so book well in advance, especially if you need to eat at a specific time. This is probably our 10th time here. Never had even a mediocre dish. Everything is terrific. Great atmosphere wither on 1st or 2nd floor. Wait staff...
Jarett Dolan
I ate here back in October and I just woke up thinking about how great the burger was. A+. Two thumbs up. 100%.
Beth Kaul
Each dish was amazing, you can tell the chef put a lot of thought and effort into each dish. Staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Would definitely come back!
Amando Komoda
Hands down, one of my favorite late night eateries in the Twin Cities. Intimate atmosphere with chill vibes, paired with a diverse and well-executed menu make this the ideal spot to unwind after a late night. Service is consistently top notch, and the bar serves up everything from green chartreuse to Hamm’s (or both, if you’re like me).
My favorite menu items are the duck pate bahn mi, and the lamb ribs with caramelized fish sauce. The bahn mi is great for the first course, a quick bite, or something on the go. The acidity and heat of the pickles pairs perfectly with the hearty slab of pate, and it’ll be gone before you know it.
The lamb ribs deserve their own review, but for the sake of brevity, all I’ll say is that they’re a pungent, gelatinous mess of umami and awesomeness. Be sure to save a piece of bread or two to help mop up. Absolutely worth it.
Hannah Grace
The burrata toast was a great starter! Prosciutto skate was salty but delicious! Beef bordelaise and sauteed kale was a hit! Fantastic wine list! Highly recommend!!
nate gagnon
Will forever be one of my Minneapolis faves. So many great things on the menu. If you can't get a reservation (it can be tough) and are eating by yourself or with a friend, try the bar!
Andrew Schneider
One of my favorite restaurants in Minneapolis.
Paul Schnaubelt
Staff is on it! Food comes hot fresh from the oven and they we accessible as well. Good wine list and very unique flavorful dishes.
Beth Wilcox
Definitely in the top 10 eateries I've eatej at in my life. Everything was amazing.
Ana Sola
Amazing food with GREAT service. Highly recommend the frog legs.
Bill Sweatt
We love 112 Eatery! Favorite small place. Exceptional food. Favorites are: sweet & sour crab salad, foie gras meatball linguini, truffle fries, lamb scottadito, scallops & mushrooms. All incredible with outstanding service too. Thanks, we’ll always be back 👍🏻 …
Paul Boyd
Wonderland is a wonderful Chinese restaurant situated on Fillmore & Height. It is casual, consistent and has generous portions. What more could you ask for in a Chinese restaurant? Oh, and the food is not greasy. I started to frequent Wonderland when I lived in the Lower Height and it has remained my go-to restaurant for Chinese even after my move to Cole Valley.
Amanda Boock
Loved the intimate romantic atmosphere. They offer a good variety and it all tastes delicious! The server we had was very knowledgable and helpful with his recommendations.
Aaron Kessler
Always amazing. This is one of the true institutions for dining in Minneapolis. Whenever I have out-of-town guests, we go here. The first floor is my preference - cozier and more intimate than upstairs. They've changed the menu a little over time, but the favorites are still there. The 112 Tartare, Foie Gras Meatballs, Frog Legs, Bibb Lettuce Salad. For dessert, the Tres Leches is one of the best (and most decadent) desserts in the Twin Cities! Love!!
Kimberley Pizza
I wasn’t as impressed as I hoped. Given I probably had high expectations as this is a sister restaurant to Bar La Grassa, but Bar La Grassa is much better. The atmosphere wasn’t my favorite, older style decor and could get a bit loud. Service was very good.
Joe Cosmos
112 Eatery blew me away. After not being able get a reservation for two years my sister in law called and got a reservation, so me, my brother, and my sister in law, went to MPLS to eat. We got seated up stairs. I took the back stairs, right through the kitchen, which is the heart of the operation. The cooks (Chefs) said it was ok to take pics of them in action, so I did. Our waitress was able to tell us the items on the menu that were popular. After ordering a Bells, Two Hearted pint, I looked over the menu. My brother ordered the Roasted Halibut and the Roasted Carrots. My sister in law ordered the Sea Scallops. I ordered the 112 Burger, French Fries, and Cauliflower Fritters. All the food we ordered was excellent. I mean really good. Our table must have been checked on by five staff members. They were spot on. Clearing plates, filling waters, and checking on beers. The service was tremendous. I wanted to call 112 Eatery, The Green Room (Stillwater,MN) on steroids.
Dennis Nardi
There was tons of options for food and drink. The food was great
Nick Paquin
Sally our server was very helpful and knowledgeable!! I ordered what she recommended the game hen and farro, it was excellent!! Very moist and so much flavor, I had never had farro before either and it was so tasty, will definitely be back!!
Reed Saunders
A little expensive, but you get what you pay for. This place really lives up to the hype. The foie gras meatballs are rich and decadent. You've also got to love the little appetizers and the caramel corn. And the service of course is great.
Sam Lai
Best culinary experience I’ve had in the city. Great flavors and appropriate prices. Lovely, cozy environment. Make sure you get a reservation!
Ian Ronningen
This Minneapolis staple is one I return to frequently. The menu ranges from high price entree to approachable sandwiches and burgers. The crab salad and beets are fantastic starters, and the mushrooms with scallops is a salty-umami bomb that everyone should order. Bar leans towards wine, but the bartenders have enough skill to craft any cocktail you'd like. Get the butterscotch budino and revel in how rich it is.
eatphoeveryday
Stopped in on a whim after a movie for a quick bite and some libations and we were extremely happy with everything! Awesome service, creative cocktails and amazing food. We'll definitely be back!
Brenda Balling
Very good food, actually good value. The lamb was perfect. The wine was good. I'd go again. Somewhat of a younger crowd Saturday night.
Dan Bergman
Cozy restaurant and a great vibe.
Food was delicious!
Winston Beck
To keep it short, the food and service were wonderful. As a dining experience, I'm not sure what was up with the music, but it didn't really seem to work with the decor and spirit of place, and the bar didn't have any quality spirits to rival the quality of the food.
Matthew Tuggle
Very good food just not always consistent in quality. The atmosphere is wonderful and full of life. Be prepared for probably the loudest restaurant I have ever dined at.
Lee Huffman
A great location for those special dates. Excellent service and dinner offerings in a cozy and intimate atmosphere.
Scott Wilkie
Good food. The sweet-and-sour crab salad was one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. A few other things on the menu were pretty overpriced.
Nashaat Sayed
112 eatery brings complex fusion style, technique in cooking and exceptional ingredient selection in their menu style. They continue to impress us with amazing flavor profiles in their food. We think 112 should receive a michelin star. Our hope is they continue to survive in the minneapolis market.
Reece Lee
Fantastic menu. Great service, even late late night closing time service, never felt rushed. Nice added starters like olives, nuts. Very good menu for vegitarian as well.
Patricia Young
The service is always wonderful and the food is worth the price tag. This is a little restaurant that is big on charm. Sometimes the waits can get long, but I don't mind waiting for quality. Molly is our favorite.
Mike Madison
Great food options, super tasty. Crowded if you don't have a reservation. The upstairs has their own kitchen to bring you everything.
Tony Ghilani
Always have a wonderful experience here. Great wine selection, wide range of food options. The burger is a must-have almost every time.
L S
So very glad our Uber driver brought us here! Just perfect. Sat at the bar, Ryan was spot on. Food exquisite, original, and delicious. Coming back next time we're in MN!
Leigh Allen
We had a private engagement in one of the back rooms and everyone loved each dish we tried, including but not limited to the tartare, cauliflower fritters, ricotta, scallops, and chocolate torte.
The good the bad and the truth!
Sooooooooooooo good!! Little pricey but worth the price and the wait! Make sure to make a reservation.
It's definitely richer food but it's farm to table style with small portions.
Will Matthews
Super friendly staff, and great food. Yes, you will pay a little more, but you will GET a lot more in terms of quality, and service. Great to just kick back and have a great meal downtown!
Laura A
The dishes can be a bit too salty, not many light and healthier options. Definitely a great place for romance, lighting is dim and many options to share small bites.
Duane “Diezel” Laskowski
I cant say enough about this great place. The best from scratch cooking and excellent staff. A favorite date night restaurant. A must go if you haven't dined there
Casey Houston
Always delicious food. Great service. Bottles of Blanton's.
First come seating at small bars upstairs and down...maybe 12-16 seats between the two.
Wolf The Neko Dad
Amazing restaurant, would not recommend if you dont like exotic dishes but if you do this is the place. Great service but kind of too dark inside. Food is wonderful though
Craig Anderson
Nice atmosphere, good food, friendly service.
Brian Latzer
The number one best restaurant in the Twin Cities. You can select anything off the menu and not be disappointed. My go-to place for a great meal.
Jen Crowell
The lamb appetizer might be my favorite dish in the city. Always great food and servers are passionate about what they are selling. Highly recommend!
Caitlin Perszyk
Delicious! LOVED the Skate (far right off picture).
Michael Kleinhaus
This is one of my top 3 favorite places in MN to eat. I have never had a bad dish. Everything is cooked well and flavorful, never a misstep. Just try everything.. seriously
Alisha Gelhar
Nothing on this menu will disappoint you! A truly local favorite for high-end dining.
Rebekah Arms
Loved all the appetizers, the entrees were lacking a little. Small and intimate dining, but a little pricey. Great place for drinks and to split an appetizer.
Geri Martinez
Reinvented comfort food with great flavors and textures. The trout and tagliatelle were amazing. That butterscotch budino though...silky smooth and decadent.
Lanie Hei
I went here for my 21st birthday, and it was one of the best meals I had eaten in a while! We left full, but not stuffed, and really enjoyed everything we ordered.
Matt Dunne
excellent. The 112 cheese burger was surprising in its simplicity and delicious. Colliflower fritters yummy as well. Great atmosphere.
Sean Hansberry
Always a great place. Food and service is second to none. My wife and I love to sit at the bar and get 3 small plates so we can try as much as we can!
Pat Marcy
What a great night! Everyone there was so attentive and nice, and the food was amazing.
Julia Berg
Our anniversary dinner was amazing! The tagliatelle and pork were fantastic. Thanks for making it such a special evening! :)
Kedar Kadam
Good place. Expensive. Food could’ve been better considering the cost you pay. Service is very good. Worth visiting if you you plan to celebrate a special evening.
Orion Joss
Outstanding food. Incredible service . Just a wonderful dinner. A perfect place to have a feast and taste fresh haute cuisine in Minneapolis.
Nicholas Marlow
Attentive staff and great food. Trattoria feel to it. Had the Nori steak. Cooked perfectly and a scallop and mushroom app also nicely done.
Stankolhog
Literally one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten in my life...I can't say enough good things about the food. It's expensive, but not crazy expensive and totally worth it.
P
Romantic, classy atmosphere. The food was really good and the prices weren't awful. Will definitely be back!
Mike Trampetti
The stuffed trout was amazing! And I loved the cauliflower. One of the best meals in MSP. Cool touch with the popcorn at the end.
Celia Hubbartt
Delicious food, great atmosphere and tasty drinks. Got a bit steamy in there once the crowd got there. Reservations recommended.
Matt and Sue Kanagy
