Reviews of Toast
Jacob D
Checked out toast for the first time this Sunday for brunch and had an amazing experience. First of all (and most importantly), the food was amazing! Or as one might say, “Out of sight!” Toast is decked out in a 1970s, funk, disco, soul, retro vibe and I must say they pull off the aesthetic flawlessly. Really fun atmosphere, decor and great music.
But back to the food. We went as a party of three and ended up sharing four entrees because everything sounded so good we couldn’t make up our minds! So in the end we decided on sharing the corned beef hash skillet, southwest steak and eggs, over stuffed croissant and the lemon berry croissant french toast. Food was fresh, delicious, great portions, no up charges and everything was very reasonably priced.
Another thing I need to point out. The service was incredible. Period. End of sentence. We were checked on frequently, our needs were met and at one point an individual who I presume was the owner made sure we were doing all right. Highly commendable experience overall.
If you haven’t checked out Toast yet, what are you waiting for?

This is a solid breakfast/Brunch place. Well thought menu items that are delicious and nicely presented. Great Skillets, burritos, unique French toast items, big pancakes, omelettes, and quality sides. Some good sounding burger choices also. Lots of coffee and cocktail options. Top rate service in a laid back atmosphere. Large portions, fair prices. Parking can be a challenging at times. Outdoor seating when the weather permits.

Beautiful place with eclectic disco era decor, great food and really nice people.
We were there early morning on Monday. The place opens at 8 am. I had the mushroom arugula Gouda omelette which I really liked. The breakfast potatoes are done just perfectly and the house coffee is mild enough to wake you up gently.
Our server Dominic was very nice polite and prompt. Great place for early breakfast or brunch.
Justine Filapek
Great place with an outstanding atmosphere. Staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing or intrusive. Drinks are real good and the food amazing. I had the corned beef hash skillet. Eggs cooked perfectly, and very flavorful. The dishes are made with fresh herbs which really kicks them up a notch. Will definitely be back. P.S. would love a cheese danish here in WI 😁.

Breakfast burrito was full of subtle flavors with chorizo and black bean. Butter burger was juicy and tasty. California Benedict was good with lots of spinach, avocado and tomato. Pulled pork on Carnita Benedict has good texture but the poached eggs are overcooked though. The staff and service was very good and friendly. Good freshly brewed coffee is a plus. Thanks!

It was a little crowded and there was a 20 minute wait to get a table, but the food was fantastic. The garlic spinach on the California Benny was cooked to perfection. The lemon berry croissant french toast & caramel apple pie french toast were sweet and delicious. We also ordered the French Toast Stuffed Sam-I-Am and it was a great mix of savory and sweet. I also recommend the Dulce de Leche iced coffee.

Today was my first time at TOAST. Let me tell you the atmosphere is such a vibe. The music was great and our waitress was awesome!! Yes, I would be going back and so should you.
Diamond Cole
I ordered the chorizo hash and the salmon Benedict m. And boy oh boy was it good! I was told during the week it’s not as busy, and the weekend can get hectic. The staff was very informative, very welcoming and kind. The food came out quick, it was nice and hot and the flavors were absolutely amazing. I’ll definitely be back soon!

We came from out of town and found this place on Google review! We did enjoy it but it wasn’t like Amazing crazy delicious.
I did enjoy my food but it felt like those typically places you could go anywhere.
I’m not too sure what the hype is to be honest.
Martin Saldivar
First time experience was phenomenal. Good music, good vibes. Food was amazing. Our server Dominic went above and beyond to make sure our first experience was a great one. He made us feel welcomed and comfortable. He made recommendations on food that was amazing. I definitely would recommend and will be coming back.

Absolutely amazing! Truly a next level brunch. Jared, our server, was the best we’ve had in recent memory. We got the mimosa flight which was delicious and a great price for a decent amount of booze. The bartenders (I didn’t get their names) were energetic, speedy, and fun. Get. The. Donuts. They’re soft, light, and that Carmel apple sauce should be bottled and commercially sold. The space is gorgeous and the acoustics are perfect. I could go on and on but you’ve really got to experience it yourself
Angelica Lewis
Absolutely amazing place!! Really cool ambiance. deserves 5+ food was delicious, our server was fantastic, best service I have had at a restaurant in a while. My vanilla latte was the best I have ever tasted! I ordered the hippie hash it was sooo yum!! We will be back to try more off the menu!
Luke Gobel
Absolutely loved this place. The good was flipping awesome. Loved the groovy decor. Sam was a fantastic bartender and server. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable despite the business of the place.
Elaine Chen
Friendly staff and good vibe. We walked in on a Saturday morning and got seated pretty fast. The staff was very friendly with good timing of coming back and getting our order. The food portions are large, and very delicious.
Taneka Williams
The service was great! Sam had great customer service skills. She was nice and helpful. We had to wait 30 mins but honestly it was so worth it. The food was great, drinks were great, atmosphere was everything. I loved how the restaurant is like a hippy theme.
Kate Mann
Yummmmm! What a delicious treat! Every single thing on the menu looked great, I had a terrific California Benny with some really great hash browns, my friends loved their breakfasts too (even the unadventurous eater!) The staff was super friendly and helpful, loved the music themed murals on the walls

Toast is magnificent! The food is delicious and the wait staff is fantastic! Would highly recommend for breakfast & brunch. Only bad thing about the place is the wait time!!!
Cyndi Kramer
EDIT: First, the good stuff! We had an AWESOME server (I wish I could remember her name); cheerful, perfect amount of attentiveness, fast. Loved her.
The Bloody Mary. Still as great as the first one I had and soooo glad to be back in Wisconsin where you get your beer chaser as a matter of course.
Second, not bad but not great, the wait-list system. We wait listed with the understanding that we would be notified by text with a seven minute cushion for arrival. When we signed in it said the wait would be about an hour. So we went to the hostess stand and discovered you had to physically check in in addition to wait listing online. We don't know what would have happened if we had not done that and just patiently waited....maybe we'd still get the text? But we also found out the wait was really only about 25 minutes (it turned out to be 15, so yay!)
And finally, the bad. I ordered a cherry waffle. I got something that LOOKED like a waffle but immediately upon cutting and taking a bite, it was more like a very limp waffle shaped pancake, soft no crunch at all. The cherries tasted very much like from the can pie filling (not necessarily a bad thing but not what I was expecting). It just ended up being a sad pile of misbegotten breakfast.
First time, had brunch....it was awesome! No reservations but we did find out they have online wait-list. Even without that, an early-ish arrival had us seated within five minutes (even though we were told it would be fifteen!).
The hostess was incredibly nice, especially as it was getting pretty busy. Our server was prompt and friendly. The spicy Bloody Mary was amazing, and came with a complimentary beer chaser. We had eggs Benedict and dulce de leche french toast. Everything was phenomenal and we see a return visit soon!
Mike Piorkowski
Excellent service and quick seating. Great patio and atmosphere. The food is phenomenal and the Mary’s are quite bloody! I ordered the graceland pancakes infused with bacon and topped with bananas with a peanut butter syrup! Sorry Snooze you lose!
N B
Amazing food. Better get there early because you will be standing outside. Never tasted some good breakfast like this before.
Bella
Had the pleasure of being served by Ana, she was an absolute delight and provided excellent customer service so much so that the food seemed like the cherry on top. As someone who was travelling on the road being a little cautious of places that offer GF options she took the utmost care and the atmosphere was 👌🏻 if you’re in town and looking for some amazing breakfast YOU NEED TO EAT HERE!
Shae J
Always a great experience when I visit. I love the French toast. Friendly staff who have great recommendations. They even have patio seating for a nice summer day. They have bottomless mimosas on the weekend too.
Diablo Williams
The place was very nice. The food was awesome I had the French toast with lemon curd and fresh fruit really enjoyed it.
M and them Bennett
A nice breakfast spot with a 70's vibe going. With dish names like "wake and bake skillet" and a menu section titled "munchies," well.... I'm sure you can dig it.
The food is good. I had the street corn chilaquiles. I'm not sure what they meant by "street corn" as the corn just seemed like normal corn to me. The ingredients were presented over tortillas chips, more like breakfast nachos, which I'm not used when it comes to chilaquiles. Nonetheless, the dish was flavorful and delicious.
My wife had the wake and bake skillet, which she enjoyed and I found to be very good as well. The gravy was described as spicy on the menu, but neither my wife nor I thought it had much spice. Again, still enjoyable.
The service was outstanding.
Overall a great breakfast experience, and I recommend checking it out of you're in the area.
Ellie Erd
First impressions of this place were great! Both the lemon berry croissant French toast and carnitas benedict were delicious and just “out there” enough to feel like a treat.
george w
Great service, good food, and reasonably priced. When coming in groups, they can accommodate seating seven people together. There was nine of us so we had two tables that were close to each other. We arrived on a Friday at 9am and did not have to wait to be seated.
leinad enasnii lord
Went there for the first time this morning after hearing about this place from my friend. The food was great, tastes better than displayed and the customer service was off the charts. Major kudos to our waitress, SAM. She suggested the stuffed French toast that we substituted the pork for chicken sausage. I tried to take her baby red potatoes after ordering hashbrowns. So definitely baby red potatoes next time. Hands down, great experience. Highly recommend a visit here
Kira Paskins
We ordered two meals: chicken and waffles and peanut butter French toast, one had to be sent back because it was cold to the touch, the other was far too sweet to be consumed in its entirety. The staff was more than happy to help replace the cold food, but it took another 15 minutes to come out, and when it did, the portion size was much smaller than the original. The food was decent but that's about it.
Ashley Morocho
I Absolutely love this place! The staff is so welcoming and nice. The vibe is so cute. If you go definitely get the Mamosa flights.
Savannah Rasmussen
All the food and drink ingredients are extremely flavorful and fresh. The lemon croissant French toast is SO GOOD & the baked salmon toast was a 10/10. Don't sleep on the skillets either.
Mark Schmidbauer
Hip place for brunch--huge portions! Had the stuffed french toast and had to take some of it home. Everything tasted great, and service was excellent.
Tim Mackay
The atmosphere here is all about the classic rock, with an emphasis on psychedelic and reggae. The menu has a ton of diverse food to offer. I went with the breakfast burrito, and it was really great - spicy enough to wake you up. The coffee is all Kona, and well-made. The folks working there were especially helpful and attentive. We didn't wait at all for a table around noon on a Saturday. They link to yelp on their website for wait times, and that seems pretty accurate.
bucky badger
five stars all around!! we loved the music, we loved the atmosphere, we loved the art work and albums, our food was great, our server Sam was awesome, the owners are awesome. we forget to take pictures of our meals, but we had the carnitas benedict, the apple cinnamon french toast, the salmon toast, bloody mary.....it was all delicious! you gotta go here!
Chuy Albiter
Such a good place for brunch. The vibes inside are giving very much 70s! The music, the food, the atmosphere is amazing. We go there often for the food and have bottomless mimosas from 2-4pm sat & sun! Would definitely recommend the pretzel brunch burger and the appetizers are delicious!
Tanner Rogers
We came for the bottomless mimosas. The restaurant was a little busy but the service was incredible. I wish I caught the name of our waitress because she was excellent, very attentive, and came back multiple times to check in and bring more mimosas. Will be coming back and recommending to friends as well! 12/10
C Smith
The food is really good. It's always a plus to have non-pork breakfast options. Come during the $20 bottomless mimosas from 2p-4p, choose different flavors and you get to enjoy them all. You'll surely be satisfied with your visit!
Denise Cole
I had the lemon berry French toast crossaint, it was good and quite large. I could not eat all of it. But it wouldn't make a good leftover dish because it has a lemon pudding like substance on it, which would probably be mushing on a reheat. Our waitress was awesome, food was served quickly.
Jen Peters
Food was great all around. Hash browns could have been a bit more crisp and salty but loved the stuffed French toast. Very fast and friendly service. No reservations but you can use the waitlist feature in the yelp app, although the wait times are inaccurate. Expect 2x a wait.
Reema Azar
My very first breakfast in Milwaukee and I was not disappointed in the least! The lemon berry croissant french toast was amazing! Great food and service. Nice outdoor seating. Highly recommended.
Jessi
Absolutely delicious! Great food, great service.
Lily
Amazing. We ordered the mini donuts as a appetizer and they HIT the SPOT!! The rest of the meal was also just as amazing. Will highly recommend and hopefully come back to next visit to Milwaukee!
Karla Bond
I’m not going to complain about the food. I just want to say the service wasn’t the best, it seemed like a busy day although it wasn’t at its full capacity and with plenty of their staff. We waited a considerable amount of time for our waitress to take our order and another considerable amount of time for our food.
Place is perfectly decorated!
Luis Ascencio
Went today and had high expectations because is always full. The service was good but the food is just not good at all, I had a burrito and the sauce was tasteless and the rest just didn’t have a pinch of salt. They don’t even have beverage options in the menu except for alcoholic beverages or coffee so you have to ask the server which sodas they have. I probably won’t be back there for a while I’m disappointed.
Ciera Benton
Everything about this restaurant was amazing. The food, atmosphere and the service was top tier. Our server Richard was very kind and attentive. I will definitely be coming back.
S Ta
We had an amazing experience at Toast! Our food and drinks were DELICIOUS. We cannot wait to go back and try more! Evelyn was such a kind waitress!
John Keithski
Staff was friendly and I enjoyed my mushrooms arugula omelette. My girlfriends duck confit was disappointing and not seasoned at all. The avocado toast was also disappointing, thin layer of avocado which was already brown. Coffee was the highlight of the meal, hot and good tasting. Would like to give it another shot and try something else
Tanya Dunn
It was my first time at Toast and let me tell you I will be going back. The atmosphere of the place is such a vibe. The music was great and our waitress was awesome. We tip her big. Toast gets two thumbs up for me
Michael Cerda
The food is great and you get a good portion size. The best thing about this place is the atmosphere and the employees, the hippy vibe is so great and everyone that works there is happy and upbeat.
Stefano Peralma
I absolutely love the chill vibes here. The food is delicious and the servers are all super warm and attentive. Best brunch in town
Rachel
Such a fun upbeat restaurant. We went on a Sunday and thankfully we had a reservation. It was super busy and the wait was about an hour. The service and food were great. Would definitely recommend the Bowl of Mini Donuts. Yum!
TJ Butler
This is one of my top brunch places. Get there early or call ahead, getting a seat can be difficult. The menu is great and the food is top quality.
Elias Probst
Dominic was one of the best servers I’ve had in a very long time. Wonderful breakfast spot. Will be back
Shay F
My experience was a pleasant one and I truly enjoyed the chicken & waffles. He had southwest steak and potatoes. This restaurant lost stars because the potatoes and chicken were not fresh. Seems prepackaged and then cooked. The peach tea was very soothing for a chilly MKE morning. Service was great from walking in and until departure. Quick service, we arrived at 9:45am and it started to get busy after 10:30am.
Ashley Moran
BLOODY MARYS ARE BOMB, SO ARE BREAKFAST BURRITOS!! Honestly this place has such a fun vibe and their breakfast climbed the ranks to being in my top 5 after just one visit! It is super busy on the weekends so definitely make a reservation in advance but so worth it! Staff is so nice too and know just when to check in on you
Tom Matijevic
What a great place, this was an expected find. My wife and I were looking for a place to have breakfast. We knew the usual spots we know of would have long wait times. So, we looking online for local recommendations, where Toast came up just a few blocks from where we were. Fortunately, when we got there, we were able to sit immediately, however 5 min after we sat down, there was a line. The menu was awesome - a lot of familiar breakfast items, however presented and served in new and innovative ways. My mouth was literally drooling at the possibilities. There were bloody marys and delicious looking mimosas being served, however, since I was driving right afterwards, I decided not to indulge. The coffee was delicious - they tout 100% Maui. I decided to have the pancake sliders, which included mini pancakes with egg, hash browns, bacon, and jelly, with a side of syrup. So happy with my choice - all gone. You could have rolled me out of that place - the portion was very generous.
I would highly recommend and I will definitely be a repeat customer
Vincent
The veggie breakfast burrito was fantastic. Love the atmosphere here and the friendly, attentive service. Definitely try a mimosa and get the breakfast potatoes. You won't be disappointed!
Tom Ruopp
Great atmosphere, well priced food, and delicious. Apple Pie french toast and chorizo skillet both fantastic.
Fairly loud atmosphere. And very busy on weekends. Recommend getting there before 9 or 10am if you dont want to wait
Susie Scott
Food was very tasty especially the latin flavored items we tried. Had the bacon maple pullapart, chorizo skillet hash, the hot bloody mary , the barbacoa burrito and kona coffee. Very polite, attentive server, bright colored decor...very welcoming atmosphere with good music.
Amanda Haddadin
Food was delicious, service was good. Would come back again.
Rachel Frank
Lemon berry croissant was amazing. Ordered a side of potatoes and those were seasoned well and crispy. My other half ordered the chorizo skillet which he devoured. No complaints here.
Only negative that I deducted a star for... they redid their menu and got rid of the s'mores latte that EVERYONE told me to order. Ordered the dolce de leche latte instead... it was good just not what I had my heart set on.
ps. props for organic table sugar :)
mike carey
We’re early birds so arriving at 8:00 am was a sweet spot, by 9:00 it was getting pretty full.
Great friendly staff, great food.
SJ Bey
This is a family-friendly very colorful restaurant they have good menus for brunch and breakfast I also love their mocktails it was delicious more like smoothies but in a good way. Our server was very friendly I asked for more butter twice I love butter and she didn't make me feel weird about it! Give 1 star less cuz I thought it took longer than usual to bring our food.
Kiersten Ford
I took my friend out for a birthday brunch. We wanted to try something new and Toast did not disappoint. Its an upbeat vibe, very colorfully decorated space. They even have outdoor seating. Highly recommend.
Mandy Cook
Our server was awesome. I got the over stuffed croissant and it was amazing. My son got a burrito and he loved it. Definitely one of the best breakfasts in Milwaukee!
Britney Moses
This morning my boyfriend and I woke up earlier than expected and to our disappointment our regular spot wasn’t open, and we walked to Toast instead.
We assumed it would be too busy to get in around 9am, but we were in luck! We got there perfectly early enough to get a spot no problem.
Our server was wonderful and friendly, and when I say the disco waffles were nothing short of phenomenal I literally “mmm’d” every bite, and never forget the bacon! It was freaky tasty.
We had never been there before, so we also tried the flight of mimosas. Holy canoly we’re there fantastic.
I am one of the pickiest people out there, so to find a place I loved so much, it was worth the review.
Thanks to our server Dominic who was a great help with suggestions and checked on us enough but never too much. It was a 5 star experience!
Ashlee C
Hip stop for breakfast. A full menu with all the classics BUT with a lot more flare. Excellent customer service. I plan to be back for a Saturday or Sunday when they have bottomless mimosas from 2-4pm.
Mikaely Schmitz
Consistently delicious, with solid service.
I love that they have adequate outdoor seating, so when I feel overwhelmed by sounds or people I can be outside.
Omelette and gluten free pancake as the side, with a spicy bloody mary is a glorious way to start any day. The GF pancake is great, omelettes are always delicious. Few to no gluten free apps or starters- but the meal is always enough. A side of crispy bacon is also a decadent add on- though I will say the bacon is not always as crispy as I want/need it to be for full enjoyment and it is pretty pricey so when I cut something of my usual order- the bacon is the first go (despite it's highly quality and good flavor).
Drinks are about 9-11 each or so, which can add up- but they are tasty
Shanice Hemphill
Never heard of this place. Just pulled up on a Sunday morning and had the best breakfast in Milwaukee. Everything was amazing. Uncommon and flavorful. Large portions.
Angeli S
Great food, great prices, great service! Try the peach tea hot or cold, so yummy! I had the berry croissant French toast it was SO delicious. Give this place a try!
Carla Zapata
Excellent service, friendly staff and high quality food! We ate outside and loved it! Has a really cool retro atmosphere. Definitely will be back on our next visit to Milwaukee.
Tammy Stock
You must visit Toast! The hubs & i rolled up @10ish, not on any list & they were quite busy, but the friendly hostess seated us immediately. Sam, our waitress was so great! Happy, informative, fun, just a great person for your Sunday morning. We started off with the Purple Haze & De Leche Carmel Latte... so good & refreshing. The hubs had the Chorizo platter...delicious, with just the right amount of heat. I had the Wake & Bake platter, equally as delicious & no seasoning needed. We really enjoyed this place, we'll be back & will totally be recommending. Between the awesome staff & music they played you might just want to stay all day.
Matthew P
Our breakfast was delicious! We were seated on the patio and the shading was perfect! I got the chorizo hash and it was super tasty. I would recommend adding cheese to it though!
Melayna Smith
This place has to be the coolest grooviest place I’ve been to! I loved the energy, the staff was great, and the food was soooo good. They played old disco music too which was awesome.
Jordyn Reitz
The staff was great!! Our waitress was super nice, helpful and quick. The appetizer was good and our drinks were great. I ordered a skillet and it was good, but not a lot of food.
We reserved a spot in line and the app told us to come back at a certain time. So we were further away when we got a notification 30 mins early that said we had 7 mins to get there or our spot would be taken. We had to rush over! It was great to get in sooner, but we almost missed our slot since we were expecting to have another 30 mins.
The atmosphere was fun. It was quite crowded and loud, but that didn't bother us!!
Angela Goodwin
Great people and fun energetic vibe. Food- meh to bleh. Burger bun cold and dry. Burger meat granulated ground beef? We are spoiled with all the spots in MKE but this ones is not nine of them.
Mitchell Schaub
Excellent breakfast selection, with a tasty array of coffees, Bloody Marys, and well curated breakfast beers. Don’t pass up the doughnut of the day! Very friendly service, excellent food, colorful surroundings. Parking can be problematic in this area.
Tasha Jones
Food was delicious 😋. I had the waffle topped with strawberry and cinnamon butter it was 🔥 😋. I also got the eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes all 🔥. Will definitely go here again next time I'm in the Mil. It's a very popular place so call ahead. I ordered online. …
Raul Arredondo
70's themed. Great music. Great food. We had the smothered fries. Amazing.
Dan Cesaro
The food was great here and reasonably priced. I loved the decor and atmosphere, the staff was also very friendly.
Bill P
Breakfast burger and sidewinder fries anyone? Yum yum yum! Dining with a party of 2 I was able to try 2 different delicacies in one sitting. This Mexican donut themed breakfast place was able to appease both our stomachs and our wallets on our brief Friday trip. Stop on in and try the donut of the day for a pittance.
Guillermo Salas
Generous portions, high quality, fair prices and friendly service. Wait was longer than expected, but it was the day after Xmas, so keep that in mind.
Hannah Avdic
This place is a fun trendy breakfast. There is quite a bit of parking in the area too. It's got a hippy type vibe, that either you like or don't. Some unique menu items, not very much that I'd consider typical. Good bloody Mary's and unique mimosa flavors. The service was pretty good. Coffee was great.
Not what u think dude
First time and it was great. I found I by accident, the service was excellent, Dominic our server was fast, friendly and so nice. atmosphere was cool and calm. Food was good and filling. I would definitely recommend this spot. The menu is fun. Definitely will be back.
Joanne Thiede
Overall good experience. Decent food, decent service. They messed up a few things but apologized and we will go back.
Ryan Fields
I really can’t recommend this place enough! Every time that we come we have excellent service. Always have very friendly servers that are good at what they do. The menu has a lot of variety and is fairly priced. The food tastes amazing and they also have great coffee. This is the spot for brunch in Milwaukee!
Dawn Stewart
Loved this place!
Very fun and the watermelon mimosas are just “totally awesome “
Greg W
Absolutely love this place. I was in town with a group of friends for a Bucks game and the next morning we were looking for a local breakfast place and Toast did not disappoint. I got the huevos rancheros and it was delicious! Service was great, atmosphere was good and our food came in a timely manner. Highly recommend this place if you are in town and looking for breakfast/brunch.
Naomi Cordova
Let me start by saying that this restaurant is just recently launched, so I know that it tends to take a little while for new places to work out the kinks and when I come back in a month or so, I'll change my review to reflect.
We started with the chilaquiles. They were a little too sweet for my taste, but not bad. Hoped for a little more flavor/authenticity. But, the portion size was huge so if you're in a big group, this is a great starter.
We had two entrees; the prime rib Benedict and the "fire braised pork shoulder." The prime rib Benedict was fantastic. The poblano hollandaise was amazing, great amount of spice. Really quite delicious. Their spiral cut fries with it were also very good. Highly recommend.
The other entree was the "fire braised" pork shoulder. The pork tasted like cafeteria meat. Though this was a bad look, the worst part was how underseasoned it was! Absolutely no flavor. The only redeeming quality about this plate was the bread. But bland pork on a pita with a couple eggs and avocado. Very underwhelming dish.
Aside from the food the service and vibe was great. The waitress accidentally spilled coffee on my shirt (nbd) but the napkins left their dye on my shirt when I tried to clean it off. Very aggrivating.
I love the location and hope they succeed. Just have some work to do as a new restaurant. Especially with the competition they have in Milwaukee.
David Marburger
All around a great experience. The theme was interesting, the staff was very friendly, and the food was outstanding.
Jim Ward
had a nice brunch at toast. Nice service, always a good relaxing place to meet.
Mary Apolinar
Great food. Ate there 2 mornings while in Milwaukee. Our 2 bar
Robert Mc Mullen
Great restaurant! Like the little bit of actual spice that they put in some of the dishes!
Armando De Leon
Tastes so good it would make you slap your mama jkjk...
But for real, the food was incredible..
wonderful setup.. I would recommend this place..
definitely worth it!!!
definitely coming back again!!!
Annabelle
5 stars for the staff! Our waiter and the hostess was so friendly and the atmosphere there is great. The food itself is kinda disappointing. Wish it had more (or any) vegan options and they added more flavor to the food. Maybe more spicy options. The drinks were really good!
Kelly Phillips
Great food and service. The decor is very specific to a certain crowd. It was very crowded.
Kay Schwob
Great food, fun atmosphere. All our breakfast dishes were very tasty, we seasoned.
Stephanie Farrah
Wow 😧 This place is PHENOMENAL 🤯 If you’re in the area you have to stop here for breakfast/brunch! There were four of us and we all absolutely loved what we ordered. I got the Eggs Benedict with pork and chile lime hollandaise sauce and it was delish! My fiancé got the Southwest Swisco Hash and Cinnamon Roll French toast and he says “woah”🤤🤤
Becca Helm
If you have a group more than 5 DO NOT GO HERE. I had a group of 7 people for my best friends wedding weekend and they told us that they could accommodate that large of a group. We did the online waitlist and when we checked in they didn’t give us any amount of time. After about 10min I ask. The hostess says 15-20min. Another 15-20min go by, I ask again. She says that because it’s a large group they were needing to wait till the table up top finishes. So we wait again. Then the table up top finishes and they don’t seat us after it’s all cleared out. I ask again. They say that only seats 6 and that they are going to move tables downstairs for us and it should only be 15-20min. So we keep waiting. After an hour of waiting I ask again. They say that they still can’t seat us. Then another hostess comes in and says that because we won’t split up then we have to wait till they can figure out tables. We said no one asked if we could split up and that we could. There was a table for 5 open and a table for 2. I point out these empty tables and that we could split up. She says that because we didn’t put in the waitlist that way that those tables go to the people who are on the waitlist. I know that no one has waited over an hour for a table so you would think we’d be top priority. They were still not willing to accommodate. I walk out and my group follows and then they quickly tell us that they can seat us in the 5 and 2. I don’t know why it took us threatening to not give them business to get a table but that’s what it took. I will say that the waitress was extremely understanding of our frustration and worked with us to get food out right away. She was a great waitress! And the food was very good. But the lack of understanding and accommodation when they said that they would accommodate us made the experience pretty bad.

Awesome! Worth the wait. Remember to check in on line. Pics of chicken and waffles. Crossiant French toast with raspberry reduction
shannon uhrig
Such a great place with good service and delicious food. Saturday and Sunday 2-4 bottomless mimosas are a must!
Wendy Weckler
Amazing food and extra amazing service! A most delicious brunch including a bowl of mini donuts!
Pablo Hurtado
Great menu and great service. Loved the blend of American and Latinx dishes. Visiting from Indiana and by far the best food we had on our trip. Highly recommend!
courtney sandy
We found this cute little place and decided to go for breakfast while we were in town. The food was PHENOMENAL!! I’ve never been to a place with such unique, tasty mimosas! Our server was so on top of everything as well. Highly recommend!
Alex Kirt
Great food...nice environment.....awesome mimosas
Ellie McCullough
Friends and family of mine LOVE this place. When I went, it was a fun atmosphere with great food. However, it felt super crowded to me. Additionally, I got a pretty bad stomach ache after eating here (I had the pancake sliders). I don't know if the food made me sick or something else, so that is why I am still giving it 4 stars!
David Rose
Highly recommend this popular brunch spot on S 2nd St in Walker's Point. Warm mini donuts are amazing, Kona/Colombian blend coffee is delicious. I think it would be hard to go wrong with any of the main dishes; I can personally vouch for the avocado toast. It's delicious. Service is exceptionally good. Also like the '70s vibe. Plan to return soon!

We have eaten at Toast Milwaukee a few times. Each time we went mid-morning, ~9am., and we’re fortunate enough to have gotten a table for two right away each time, without having to get on their online wait list. The food has always been really good, as has the service. Our waitstaff have unfailingly been very friendly and attentive, The coffee is good and served in large mugs. This morning we ordered the Corned Beef Hash Skillet and the Huevos Rancheros from the Killer Classics section of the menu. We gave each other clean plate club awards at the end of our breakfast🍽! The place has a great casual atmosphere, and if you are a fan of classic 60s and 70s classic rock / r&b / soul music, you will enjoy Toast. We will definitely be repeat offenders😃. (Covid note - face masks optional at the time of this review)

For my first experience I must say I was very impressed by the service of mixologist Jared..!YES..Like the diamond store. Not only was his service impeccable, the food was amazing and suggested by Jared. All and all it was a great time and I have now became a regular.
Theresa Hurd
Amazing find. Small, quaint atmosphere. Had the Hippie Hash Skillet, which was wonderful veggie blend that was rich with flavor. Endless coffee and a cup to go. Bartender (who may have been the owner), had a great personality and provided excellent service. Highly recommend!!!
Momo H
Bottomless mimosas were very tasty and I absolutely loved the California Benny!!
Went again and the dulce de leche iced coffee was a dream. Corned beef hash skillets can be a make or break for my view on restaurants but it was cooked and implemented so well. So, it's still a 5 star place for me! :)
christine king
Service good but no one seems to know how to cook eggs Benedict. Hard boiled and no hollandaise. Yuck.
Anna-Kaye Rowe
Enjoyed our visit for brunch. We called ahead and we were encouraged to make a reservation online which we did. We didn't have to wait long to be seated on arrival. Toast has a very cool vibe, our server was awesome and provided excellent recommendations. The tea he suggested was so good and he came over and asked to refresh the steeper which was so thoughtful. Brunch was lovely, great portions. I'd definitely go back to this spot whenever I'm back in town.
Rachel Gardner
BEST BRUNCH EVER! The service was amazing, and the food was even better! The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and the prices are super reasonable! In a group of 9, we all ordered different things. Out of all the things I tasted, not one thing did I dislike!
Daigham Bowers
Wholly cow, super enriched by the entire experience from top to bottom. The lovely eclectic atmosphere inside with tons to see, a mixed crowd of individuals, stylish groups, and families from all over the city.
The food had me talking about it for the next five days. It was unexpectedly divine, in all honesty, and I love breakfast food. The only thing that surpasses the variety of food to choose is the quality, from coffee to appetizer to entree, you really cannot go wrong.
Highly, I say again, highly recommended you come to check it out for breakfast or brunch. You will not be disappointed!
Juan Avila
Great place. Delicious food and real good Bloody Marys
AnnaMarie H.
Great breakfast spot! The coffee is good, the dishes are even better!
Adam Sch.
Great service, the food was amazing and really good coffee. Definitely will be back.
katt cat
Food and service was great but some of my chicken just a little hard but season great and edible. They have great jalapeños butter just wish they had a spicey sauce for the chicken.I will visit again for Mothers Day with my daughter n friends.
Nicholas Ischer
Amazing vibe in this place. The wait staff is super friendly and feels very family. The food was unbelievably good too! Really liked the mushroom nacho cheese dip!
Kristi Meng
Loved it! Great food, great drinks & great service!
Emilee Wildes
Honestly the best breakfast I have had in years. The food is so fresh, and you can definitely taste the quality and love put into the food. The staff is super friendly, funny and fast. Highly recommend for a great Sunday breakfast. A word to the wise however, try to be there when the doors open, they get busy fast.
jodi agostini
Amazing food and prices. Ordered online for a discount. I can’t to the location and was immediately greeted and assisted. While waiting I was asked if I was taken care of by atleast 4 other employees. All friendly and smiling faces. This place never disappoints !
Carly Phillips
Service was amazing. Probbaly best service and team effort I have seen from all members that worked there. And I was a server for 4 years and have eaten out numerous times.
Food was decent. Coffee was fresh and great.
Highly recommend this.
Evelyn was a great server and very attentive and friendly!
Adam (AdamsOnFuego)
Just moved from San Diego and had been looking for a good breakfast spot in Milwaukee. I had the carnitas Benedict and it was amazing not to mention the stellar service from our waiter.. which made up for the extremely poor and rude service we had received from the hostess.
India Saunders
The breakfast burrito and the hash browns were so good!! Hash browns cooked perfectly with a nice subtle buttery taste. Loved all the flavors in the burrito too. Also chicken tenders were 10/10
Chantel Richter
Literally one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! Must start off with a donut of the day :)
John Filicetti
OMG breakfast! If in the area, this has to be on your list. What they have to offer is overwhelming but fantastic when it is set in front of you. Bring an appetite!
George Kolintzas
Toast is a place were you can not only only get good food or a bottomless Mimosa on the weekends I believe from 2 to 4 for a reasonable price (I think 18 dollars) but it's one of those places that you will see beautiful people, trendy, shiek, very upscale go for the food or go to be seen or just go to people watch. The only small negative is that parking or finding parking in this area just north of 2nd n Pittsburgh can be challenging! The staff was great kind friendly service was quick prices are a bit higher but again within reason considering the trendy area n the ambiance it has to offer.
Sha Marie
The food is good here. So I decided to make a reservation for my friends birthday. I did it online and it sent out a confirmation for the reservation. Even got text updates. When I showed up they said that some of the reservations don’t save from the thing online. So disappointed. Don’t waste your time making a reservation online it won’t save. At least put up a disclaimer so I don’t waste someone’s birthday plans.
Update: When I first got to the location I was upset because we had to wait even though I reserved it. So I rated them a one star for that experience. Once in the waitress Sam did an amazing job!! So that is what made update the review! Food and the other wait staff was excellent!
Kaila Thomas
My wife and I finally got the time to try this place and we were not disappointed. Its one of our favorite places for breakfast.
steve carlson
Busy place, I recommend getting reservations ahead of time. The food was excellent!!! My wife got the wake and bake chicken skillet, the potatoes were amazing and the sauce has a great blend of flavor and spice. She also got the blueberry rooibos tea that had the perfect naturally sweet taste. I got the smoked out salmon, which was ok. We did get the pretzel peanut butter French toast as well to share, that was a must!!!
Our waitress a Alyssa M did a fantastic job making sure our drinks stayed topped off!
Amro
Lovely place. Nice outdoor seating. Friendly service. Good drinks.
It fills the spot perfectly for a breakfast/brunch place. Their food items are all very color and the emphasis on breakfast vibes is very clear. I liked the food.
I tried their regular and spicy Bloody Mary, not the BEST but definitely worth trying. It's good to know that a nice place like that serves good drinks too.
Our server was very helpful and cooperative and nice. We were given opinions and suggestions when we asked to. I like that.
Steve Wellenstein
I really liked it. The atmosphere was relaxing. We were fortunate enough to be able to sit at the outdoor patio.
The food was great with a nice selection.
For breakfast the cost was reasonable.
The taste was great.
The size wasn't huge which may sound bad but it was the right amount. Not what other places serve which is just obscene.
My only issue were the chairs on the patio they are more for lounging then eating at a table. But once I was done eating they were fine for drinking my Bloody Mary.
Sarah Kreager
Do delicious and the staff was so nice!
Nate Keller
Amazing atmosphere that feels inclusive, beautiful art, large selection of food, very good quality. Try the lemon berry french toast! Variety of drinks available and they specialize in mimosas. Family friendly!
Dawn Pecoraro
Food was unique and very good. The service and atmosphere was very comfortable.
CJ Edwards
There is always a wait but it was nice place to experience. Customer service is excellent!
Amanda Smith
My boyfriend & my favorite breakfast spot in Milwaukee for sure! We love to bring our friends and family from out of town here because it’s always been amazing! Always super quick service, and good vibes. We love to get their egg dishes and chicken and waffles.
Kathryn Johnson
It was nice. Staff was wonderful. Our waitress was great. Will come again. Tell everyone about toast
Kimberley Fraser
Bottomless mimosas from 2pm-4pm Saturday and Sunday, phenomenal food and insanely friendly staff. Doesn’t get much better than that. Stopped by late Saturday afternoon and sat at the patio with my pup. Super chill and inviting, would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great experience!!
Matthew
Breakfast was amazing.
Absolutely loved the drinks and steak and eggs and omg the donuts you have to get the donuts. They’re donuts will make you go nuts!
Michael Lawler
That steak was blessed by Zeus himself, I did not know what satisfaction was until having that for breakfast. Thank you
Jonathan Woodley
Food was excellent. Had a long wait but it was so worth it. I'll definitely be back again. Prices were great too. Highly recommend Lemon Berry French Croissants it was absolutely delicious. Our server was excellent and full of energy. Perfect fit for that environment. Keep up the great work
Rush Henderson
Delicious breakfast and lattes. Love the atmosphere and records all over the walls
Dave
Was very good for breakfast! We had a variety of omelettes and platters, starter of Mini doughnut holes mmm! Coffee and service excellent! Fun atmosphere.
Peggy Knight
Food was great but the wait time was horrible 1 1/2 to long
Ste Farrow
Excellent brunch spot! Bottomless Mimosas from 2pm to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays, 5 delicious flavors available. Our server, Richard, was amazing! I'll definitely be returning.
Lindsey Bublavy
Toast of the town. The food won't disappoint but I was most impressed by the service. They took reservations and got us seating outside. Our server was incredible. So accommodating. Very thankful for the experience. Lives up to the many great businesses in Walker's Point. Best neighborhood in MKE and this is just another reason why.
Phil Montano
Amazing eats, stellar staff, quality music. I mean, look at this food! Photo credit @alexisquinn Instagram

I fell in love with this place the moment I walked in the art and the set up. The wait staff is super friendly!! Mimosas are decent, cute presentation. Now the food 😭 I recommend the pancake stacker- not sure if that's the right name. Avocado Toast is good as well don't let the Arugula scare you away, you'll actually like theirs …
Lynn
The menu is unique and having all the food made daily by the chef is great. Having a SOY allergy wasn’t a problem. I had the Carmel Apple Cinnamon French Toast and it was very good.
Dominique Lettiere
I went to Toast just two weeks after it had opened. The space is great. There seems to be a lot of seating. The restaurant has exposed brick, two stories, and huge windows. The natural light makes it a great place to have brunch!
I understand they are changing the menu, but I thought the food was fantastic. I would love to try their specialty cocktails!
Our waitress was very nice and all of the employees seemed to be helping one another out.
Overall, Toast had great food and good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend coming here!
ROBB MURPHY
Wow this is great food great service. Our waitress was outstanding I believe her name was Sam or Pam.
Michelle Mitchell
Well-decorated, fabulous staff and mouthwatering food, I think I’ve found a new spot for anytime of day and feel. The bottomless mimosas are amazing - no matter what flavor you try.
Brandon Nelsen
The vibe was awesome! Food was good, house potatoes especially slapped. The drinks were by far the best part, the bloody Mary's were delicious and the cold brew was light, but tasty!
Yesenia Díaz
It's ok. Smaller portions. Good coffee nice staff
Gina Harris
Great experience. The donuts were delicious. My smoked salmon benedict was okay, I wished it had more flavor in the salmon. But, I'd try it again. Overall, good experience.
Angela Grimm
Everything we had was fantastic including bloody's, cinnamon roll pancakes, coco loco pancakes and barbacoa sopes. The cinnamon roll pancakes were especially amazing. I thought they'd be too sweet, but they were perfect. We're definitely coming back for those again!
Bonnie & Dylan Scheunemann
Honestly the best breakfast I have had in a long time! Server Jamaica was so friendly and amazing. Made me feel extremely welcome even though she was very busy. Would definitely go back! The barbacoa sopes were amazing!!
Sam Nolinske
Really nice brunch/lunch spot with a great aesthetic and very good food!
They had a nice array of vegetarian options as well which was really nice.
Alicia Sullivan
Went here today for brunch and had a fantastic experience. We used the no wait app so we knew exactly when to show up. Got there a few minutes early but there is a little bit of seating in the front to wait. Got seated upstairs and really like the atmosphere (high ceilings, loft area, nice and airy). Ordered the monkey bread as a sharable which was plenty for our table of five. I ordered the crab Benedict and it had a really nice kick to it. Would definitely order again. The service was very attentive and friendly as well.
Joey T
I had the California Benny and it was really good.
Justin Kasdorf
This place is beautiful and fun... but extremely loud and the food is a bit pricey. In addition, I had the chicken sausage and I didn’t think it tasted good at all. Other people enjoyed their meals, so I’m upping my score based on their experiences. It’s a wonderful place to check out. Don’t be in a hurry to go anywhere else because the service does take a while when they are slammed.
Tanya Sharp
Delicious! Perfect for brunch. A fun exciting environment, lots of hustle and bustle. Food delivered quickly and as expected.
Sheila Harmon
We sat towards the front, so I loved the atmosphere. The service was great. The coffee was strong, but good. I had the classic breakfast with bacon and breakfast potatoes. The bacon was delicious and perfectly cooked. However, the potatoes had so much garlic in them that I literally could only eat one bite before I was overwhelmed by garlic. Overall my experience was just ok.
Jon-Paul Leduc
Friendly energetic and positive staff. Good quality good in an open environment. Clean gender neutral bathrooms. Checks all the boxes for me.
Theresa Armstrong
Today, we got in, the food was amazing good, the service was phenomenal. I can see why they stay pack. Covid restrictions were enforced, the atmosphere was clean. Very nice place to eat. Variety of food for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Jason Kruchko
Toast is consistently very good. I've been there 5 or 6 times in the last year and have always liked my meal. Nothing is super fancy - but is breakfast or lunch food done right. Very tasty. Highly recommended for breakfast or lunch.
Jenna Klobucar
One of the best brunch spots in milwaukee. Always great service, good food, and fun atmosphere. Only downside is how busy they are when open so make sure to make a reservation as walk ups can take 30 min to an hour to be seated.
Shannon Pearl
I've eaten here before and it was amazing. Today was left a bit disappointed with our pick-up order. We were missing the chocolate sauce for our order of minis. When I called to order, the person taking orders did not seem to know their menu. I was using the correct menu item name for 2 dishes and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I gave up and ordered online which didn't have all their menu items listed so couldn't get what we really wanted which was the sopes. Not sure I'd do takeout again here.
Gabrielle O.
I've visited several times now and always enjoyed. I've introduced many people to Toast and everyone comments on the good vibes of the place and seriously, everything on the menu is really good! Definitely a repeat place to go, never disappointed.
Jamie Huckerby
Nice food at a good price. The decor is nice with some background music on. Staff are friendly and welcoming. We especially like the tea we had, it was lovely and fresh. My only criticism is that service was a bit slow, however I think this was more to do with them judging we were in no rush than poor service ( I was hungry, what can I say😂). Still it's recommended if in the area.
Jake Peterson
Had a great time at Toast today with my family. My wife had some crafted mimosas which she said were delicious, and they also brought out to her some donuts for her birthday! I had a Lemon Berry Croissant French Toast which was delicious, and she had an omelette which she said was good. Overall the location is very fun to be inside and the staff was very kind.
The1nOnlyDood
Excellent service, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Food was delicious. Prices were fair. Decent selection of beer, too.
Carrie M
Food was very good.👍 menu had a lot of creative options. Decor/atmosphere was super cute. The hostess was a complete sweetheart! Only negative was that I was dining with my child and we repeatedly overheard profanity from the staff. 😕 …
preppyboyofIL
Food was absolutely incredible definitely on par with some of the finest restaurants in Chicago so if you’re looking for good quality like ours in my hometown of Chicago and you’re in Milwaukee this place is it. Food was phenomenal and you get a lot of it. Restaurant is very clean and staff was very prompt and efficient.
Janelle
We have been ordering curbside pick-up here on various occasions the past couple of months, which we've been enjoying and appreciating. Today we pulled-up and it was very crowded outside. I tried to call several times, but the line was busy, so I decided, for the first time, to go in to get our order. The kitchen was running behind, but they were very apologetic, and honestly I wasn't bothered by it. I did ask if they could bring it out to our car when it was ready, which they were happy to do. All staff members were wearing masks and gloves, and the tables seemed to be properly spaced out. There were many large groups dining in and waiting for tables, though, and nobody waiting for a table was wearing a mask or respecting physical distancing. We unfortunately won't be ordering from here again until we safe being in close proximity to others.
Joe Kamm
Short walk from downtown hotels into a retro-esqué restaurant. Lots of nice decorations that seem to not overwhelm the location. Drinks delivered promptly, food not too far behind. Everyone enjoyed their food, and we had enough food leftover to have for tomorrow. Staff were very friendly and kept the atmosphere light and lively.
Gluten Free Note: Limited options, ask before ordering.
Michal Weglowski
Best corned beef ever. Definitely coming back.
Meryl Fitzpatrick
We went to toast for brunch and really enjoyed eating there. They have a large variety of Bellini flavors (I had the Aloha) which were fun to choose between. They also have a big menu with lots to choose from. I had the barbacoa sopes and my friend had the pancake sliders, we both thought our dishes were great. I would definitely go back!
Katlyn Maercklein
Got a table pretty quick, the waitress was able to answer all of our questions and though one is not listed I got the French toast alacart. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is fun. I recommend calling in a reservation the day before but walk ins usually don't have to wait as long as they tell you.
Rajitha Chimmani
I like the place and choices in their menu but I dont think I ordered the right one.Chicken Waffle - dont order it. Chicken was cold and there was nothing good about it except for jalapeno butter. Ask for syrup on the side if you are trying for the first time. Others on table mentioned chocolate donut was the best. And their order looked good but have not heard anything great.
Jennifer Julius
We love trying all the different dishes available. The breakfast potatoes are great! Also recommend the peanut butter pretzel french toast!
Bashardette Taylor
Love the eclectic look and ALL STAFF is super friendly buuut the food was just okay to me! I wanted to love it but just couldn't!
Bri R
Went in this morning and was blown away. Nice staff, really nice neighborhood too (the location choice is A1), nice vibes, EXCELLENT food AND service. I literally can’t even talk due to a cold but everyone was really nice the host included. The guy that helped me with my to go order Eli I think his name was, he was awesome. Seriously. I appreciated all his help & his patience with communicating via my iPhone should really be rewarded lol. I’ll definitely be back. When I tell you that breakfast sammie and delicious hash browns I had was on my mind ALL day after I ate it.. believe it. The food was amazing. Can’t wait to visit you guys again and try the rest of your menu. Thank you for the awesome service you really helped improve the day I was having in the little amount of time I spent in your place. Anyone who sees this should really check this place out if you haven’t already. I was in there literally all of 15 minutes and left with THIS impression. Clearly they’re great.
Justin Cormia
Went there on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. The place was packed. We waited for about 15 minutes, then ended up sitting at the bar. Service was good, but I was not impressed with the food based on the rating for this place and how crowded it was. My friend ordered the barbacoa sopes, and I got the breakfast burrito (pictured). The food came out luke warm, but I’m not one to complain so we just ate it. Burrito was fine, nothing super special. The sopes were not that great. The corn sopes were very bland. We did get our food fast for how busy the restaurant was, but I was overall not impressed with the food based on the rating on google.
Erik Peterson
Rex was super on point. Amazing service, super personable, checked on us many times. Knew the menu, was also very quick with service and bringing our food. Also it doesn't hurt that he's very attractive... :P
Scott Kutcka
This place was recommended by a friend and I am thankful for that. I tried the chorizo skillet hash and wasn't disappointed. The home seasoned chorizo had great flavor and a nice kick. The atmosphere was great, as was the service. I'll be back, just to try the homemade donuts! Besides the food, what I love about Toast is the hours. I'm a breakfast fan, not "brunch so opening early is fantastic.
Zach Schneeberger
Toast was PHENOMENAL! Awesome 60's vibe, staff was friendly and super knowledgable about the menu. Food came out quick and tasted great. Mimosas were a tad expensive, but came with a slice of strawberry which made my tummy happy. The music selection of the diner was without blemish. From Stevie Wonder to the Doobie Brothers, the vibe train made no stops. Excellent establishment. I'm from Chicago, but if I come back to Milwaukee, I know where I'm sitting down from the most important meal of the day :)

Went on MLK Day for a solid breakfast. Enthusiastic staff seated us near the door, which was breezy on a pretty cold day. They make donuts daily, and my daughter loved the sample, so we ordered one. Couldn't eat it except for the fringes, as it was pretty undercooked (raw dough throughout the center).
Our server was very friendly, responsive, and the rest of our food was pretty decent. A fun alternative to your normal brunch/breakfast spot, and a very extensive menu help to make this worth a shot.
Duane Ochs
How great, discoesque dinner with amazing food and drinks. Chilequiles were probably the best I’ve ever had. Staff is great. Our server kept picking my daughters things she felt was necessary to throw on the floor. Definitely will be coming back.
Mike Norris (Betapixels)
Good vibes and food here. The skillets and breakfast overall are 👌🏼
Brenda Andrade
One of my favorite places for breakfast recommend the Dule de Leche coffee is so sweet and yummy
Alexa V
Analyssa made this morning brunch awesome! Good service and great food. As well as a flavorful mimosa flight. Earlier in the morning we went to Brunch downtown and had horrible service, Toast’s atmosphere, service and food turned our morning around!
April Klein
Super great service, amazing food, and yummy drinks!
Peggy
We had a delicious breakfast here. Started with a Blood Orange Paloma and a Bourbon Mule. The Maple Bacon Pull Apart Bread made a great appetizer. Entrees of Waffle Chicken and Chorizo Hash completed a very enjoyable experience. We used one of the cards from City Tins and we are definitely coming back!
Dee Boyd
Get the pancakes! But check out the menu you'll mouth will be watering
Michelle Lisiecki
Food is very good and well portioned
Hostess shouldn’t been in that role especially on busy day
She said not taking reservations but yet they accept them in Yelp
Either take all or none
Said wait time was 30-45 minutes when checking in waited hour and others were seated before us that came after
When we finally asked if our table was ready she was snippy and within a few minutes seated us
Neenah Mari
Food was good and so was the service. My only two complaints are that we were sitting pretty close to another party also both times I made reservations online they somehow didn't have me on the list but I was still seated right away.
Jenny Johnson
Fat portions of flavorful food! We only had a 20 minute wait on a Sunday around 11AM. We started with one of the daily doughnuts which was mexican hot chocolate flavored. That was a good decision! I got huevos rancheros and it was better than I expected it to be for the affordable price point. The server was super chill about substitutions. The 70s hippy decor was cool without being too cheesy.
Jojopahmaria Nsoroma
All I can say is arrive hungry! What a delicious and fun way to have breakfast or lunch or brunch! The atmosphere is creatively comfortable and kept lively by happy and diverse servers, and a soundtrack that includes James Brown. And they do 'Donut of the Day' freshly made. There's also a full bar. I can't wait for the weather to support the outdoor seating. It's a great place!
Jesus Manzano
The atmosphere and crowd is on the trendy side and prices are mid-range ($12 average per plate). Food has a creative twist which can be a bit of a hit or miss. Drink menu is adequate, but pricey.
Get in early (before 10am) or be prepared to wait at least 20 mins for a table. Service is attentive and food usually comes 15-20 after ordering. Food isn't always hot and sometimes under-seasoned although it's always plated nicely.
Rachel Brubeck
The menu has great variety of both sweet and savory options. I had the pancake sliders which were good but not great. I also had a bowl of fresh fruit and everything was good and ripe. It's nice to have another breakfast place in the neighborhood.
josh wisniewski
Quaintly hidden in the 5th ward. Best Breakfast I've had in a long time. Friendly staff, Awesome unique breakfast creations. Donuts made in house. You won't be disappointed! A whole breakfast experience for the whole family!
Brandon Kusik
Sat outside with our dogs, nice to have that option. Food was alright, the chorizo was a little greasy, none of the food was outstanding. Service was slow, even with many open tables. The slow service was partly due to the long walk from the back of the building to the patio, which the servers were doing non stop.
Emily Harriman
Toast is a great new brunch location. After Zak's closed, I was just hoping another brunch place would go in because it's across the street from my apartment. The service at Toast was good even though our server was extremely busy (it was prime brunch time on the weekend). I had the pancake sliders, which were unique, but tasty. The person I was with ordered the grilled cheese. After trying it, we both agreed the flavor was great, but the cheese wasn't very melty and the bread wasn't very toasty. Overall, I recommend Toast for the atmosphere, service, and quality food.
Janet Millsap
This place is very inviting! Management and staff are very friendly and caring! My husband and I were welcomed in by a staff member who held the door for us. The food is very good and priced very well i enjoyed the mango strawberry mimosa and the banana foster pancakes. I will definitely be back to visit!
Jeniffer Diaz
Service was good. We wished that all of our food would have come out together. My husbands toast and my plate made it out 5-8 minutes later. By that time his breakfast was cold.
Also, chilaquiles were not good. It was like eating chip, pico de Gallo and an egg. The chips were not smothered in sauce like a traditional chilaquiles dish. The waitress did mention she needed to whip them up quickly. 🤦🏽♀️
Overall, I would not recommend to family and friends nor would I revisit.
Jasmine Lewis
Service was great from start to finish. Food was good, not amazing but good. The only negative thing about this place was that the music was so incredibly loud it was hard to have a conversation.
Megan Gale
Visiting Milwaukee and found this place! Phenomenal food, but even a more phenomenal server. Dominic was wonderful and hilarious! Thank you for the stellar service!!!
Chelsea Dahl
Visiting Milwaukee for a Bucks game. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. Staff was very friendly, coffee had a great flavor, breakfast was fantastic with fresh items and good quality meats. We will be back!
Stephanie Toumanoff
Overall the food was fine. Our waitress brought us a cold version of the special that was sitting at the end of the bar so we could see it; that was kind of odd. And my plate was in her hand and pulled away with a little food still left before she asked if I was done, so I didn't feel comfortable saying I wasn't done. Overall it was okay.
Art Art
This place is amazing the atmosphere is so good the foods is delicious
Latasha Robinson
I LOVE this restaurant I tell everyone to go here for breakfast! The eggs are REAL! Lol the sausage is soooo good! They have this special type of toast, some type of yellowish bread that I absolutely Love! The service is excellent! I really like the decor. I sat at the bar, you can sit outside or in, doesn't matter. They have really good drink choices, mimosa, a Jalapeno margarita...nice. They close early since its breakfast/ brunch so beware of the time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Remember to eat your toast.
Yingdi Han
Awesome food, awesome decor, reasonable prices, and staff was outstanding. Definitely in the favorites now!
Denise S
Very fun place with unique entree options and great cocktails. The classic Benedict was delicious and more than I could finish. Bellinis were very tasty. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Great selection, great service. Mixed up my order (how my eggs were done) by mistake and fixed it before I even noticed. Plus they have a bar. Brunch is a magical time.
Candace Van Veghel
My breakfast was amazing! I had cinnamon roll pancakes and I highly recommend them! My husband had an eggs Benedict and love it!
Jessica B
I totally underestimated and forgot how much I love brunch and breakfast spots! I mean breakfast is the perfect way to start the day and in my book will always win compared to lunch. We were happy to find this spot. They had a really nice patio and we opted for the fresh air options since it was a beautiful day!
I went for the Crab Cake Benedict. The crab cake was delicious and definitely did not skimp on the crab. Sometimes you risk overly breaded crab cakes but that was not the case at Toast. I was disappointed that the eggs on top were overcooked, the easiest way to ruin a Benedict is hardboiled yolks. Come on folks those yolks should be runny! I'm knocking off 1 star for the lack of runny yolks and that it took us a while to actually get our food. This was probably more like a "3" experience but I can't get those crab cakes out of my head!
Nick Sayotovich
The food and service were great. The site is brightly lit and clean. The menu offered many fun selections without being overwhelming. A truly enjoyable experience whether you're on your own or trying to impress your foodie friends.
David Pederson
This was our second trip back, and the second time was the charm. This time we had Donna as our server, and she was a delight; attentive, friendly, and efficient. The food came our relatively quickly, as did our drinks, and everything was tasty!
Felicia Granados
The barbacoa burrito was so delicious. Other breakfast item we're very yummy too. Definitely going back again. The boss was a bit pushy with servers and customers could easily see the tention of staff.
Karen Sartler
It was ok. I took my two girls there because it had good ratings and it was something new. Menu is huge which was a plus. I ordered the honey lavender latte, it had no lavender or honey and mostly foam. I did send it back, they put lavender in but no honey but I wouldn't pay $5.45 for one. Also I ordered the chilques(I can't spell it) the dish with the tortilla, eggs, salsa etc. It was basically scrambled eggs put on top of hard chips with a dabble of salsa, hard cold potatoes underneath, and barely any cheese. $11.50? No.
My daughter ordered plain pancakes, and they were dry, the chocolate chip pancakes were outstanding, and all three of us mostly ate that. My daughters also had fizzy pop-a very underwhelming drink not for kids. There was hardly any flavor to them for over $3.00 a piece. For $50 plus tip, I could have saved time and money and gone someplace not just ok.
Andrew Hoekstra
The pancake stacker was possibly the best breakfast I have ever had and the mimosa flight is a must as well. Excellent, friendly service- our server was so good he must have been telepathic.
Jerdine Hamilton
Only been once trying to go again.it was absolutely wonderful. Can't wait to go again.
Brandy Willett
Loved this place! Wish I would’ve taken pictures of all the great food we had. Went on a Saturday morning around 10am and they were able to seat 6 of us right away. Will definitely go again next time I’m in the Milwaukee area.
Scott Davis
Very good breakfast! We went today as part of our monthly Food Club. Toast was outstanding. I ordered the donut of the day, which was cookies and cream, but saved half for my wife...happy wife, happy life. Ordered the breakfast sammie. Came with choice of potatoes (had diced). Very well prepared and delicious, big portion, didn't finish the potatoes. Others ordered crab benedict, classic benedict, maple bacon pancakes, and breakfast burrito. Positive reviews all around, all took home food, as portions were good. Not the burrito dude, though, he finished it somehow. Big mugs of good coffee. Service may have been a touch slow, but not enough to ding anyone. It's after 1pm, we ate at 930am, and still full.
Robert Albert
This was the second time having a meal at this establishment. Food was very good but, today, the service (kitchen) was slow. Took about 45 minutes for our order to come out of the kitchen (the server said the kitchen was falling apart). The restaurant did give us a $20. credit off our bill. I will still go back and give them another chance.
Stephanie Campo
While staying in Milwaukee and after trying a few other restaurants, hands down the best one. Food was fantastic, staff is very friendly and the place is super cool.
Miranda Lord
We just ate at this cute little restaurant for the first time and had a wonderful experience! The staff were very friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying this place and definitely give the chicken and waffles a try, sooo good 😊😊 …
Katie R
Love the details all around the restaurant. Great service. Delish drink & food menu
Tyler Johnson
Great atmosphere. Decent food. 70s style diner, complete with tie dye. Great breakfast, brunch, lunch spot.
Steve Braley
This place rocks on Saturday morning!!!!!! Maple bacon pull apart bread is incredible. The staff is super friendly and fun. Bloody Mary was perfect. New spot to head to in the morning. Great job Toast!!!!!!
Sarah Streicher
Love this place! Friendly staff, good prices and excellent food.
clay hannes
Our son bought my wife and I breakfast and a flight plus an additional fruit juice along with a bottle of champagne from TOAST. The Mimosas were great and the breakfasts were superb. My wife had Eggs and Steak, I had Huevos Rancheros and our son had the Mexican version of Eggs Benedict, eggs and Babaroa beef on corn Silas. For being food for pick up the food was not overcooked, tasty and all efforts to give us a unique experience. Thank You, TOAST and your employees who put their own health on the line to give us a break, from our own cooking. We will definitely be back either for pick up or for fine in.
Eric Westphal
Great brunch! You should eat here
Los Glover
It was pretty good food. Nothing stood out as exceptional but it was high quality and the servings were big. I'd eat there again. The staff was good and the decor nifty.
Monika Montes
Definitely recommend to go ! Drinks were amazing !
Bryan Groshek
Toast is a great place to grab a casual breakfast or brunch. They have a lot of different options, so you're sure to find something that you're in the mood for. They also bring the Mexican flavor of the neighborhood into quite a few of their options. If you're looking for a different yet delicious choice, this 70s themed spot is a must to try out.
Craig Stodolenak
If anyone remembers, this is the old "Dish" space. Cheerful and spacious w/a dog-friendly back patio. Good food & beer list. They don't take reservations for brunch so I'd recommend checking busy times and planning ahead.
Katelyn Brown
Analyssa was super nice and attentive. Food and drinks were great. Atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. Great brunch experience! Will be back :)
Terry King
Breakfast was fantastic! I had Poblano Steak Benedict. GF had Chorizo omelet. Of course we shared to taste it all.
Deelish!! Steak exceeded “breakspectations”. Hash browns just right crispy. Home fries seasoned nicely.
Cinnamon Maple Bacon tear apart bread not too sweet, just right.
Service was very friendly, fun and quick. Atmosphere was bright, clean, lively and fresh.
Even the toast was special (although given the name of the place, I would expect that) very tasty fresh bread and english muffin.
All this and great coffee at very reasonable prices.
Will be back.
Sally Whitmore
Bloody Mary: decent - not spicy whatsoever. Good basic toppings. Would order again
Croissant berry French toast: essentially a deep fried croissant which soaks up the fry grease and becomes a fried mass. With a good berry topping. That part was good. Would not order again.
Biscuits and gravy: floury gravy, lack of sausage in gravy. Was the most basic of basic biscuits and gravy. Zero personality. Wouldn’t order again
Jalapeño pineapple margarita: awesome. Very jalapeño-y. Would definitely order again.
Overall. Not impressed.
Jennifer DeSandre
Food was pretty good for brunch. Gets pretty busy, so expect to wait a bit if you want a table otherwise there is also a nice bar to eat at. Bright and colorful ambiance inside.
Dottie Glesener
Loved the vibe, the food and the service - what more do you need?
Definitely a great experience in a cool space - nice outdoor patio too!
Qing Kyle
The food was awesome. A toast to Toast

Colin Chiu
Cool place to breakfast . Friendly staff and great American breakfasts.
Mariely Rodriguez
Mimosas are amazing but not impress with the food. I tried the steak Benedict no it didnt turn around good. Had to give a chance because they open recently. The staff is very friendly and the location is great
Erin Stratton
This place was really cute and the staff was very friendly! Food overall was pretty good but missed the mark a bit. I had the pancake sliders and they were ok but not great. Portions are really big!
Amy Bauer
Toast is deserving of every glorious thing that is said about it and then some. Personally I feel like a lot of downtown brunch spots are a little snobby feeling and a little "high-brow" for the average Milwaukeean looking for a fun, delicious brunch spot. Toast takes that idea and flips it on its head. From the happy feeling you get just looking at their signage, to the bright colors both in and outside of the restaurant, Toast is just a happy place.
We went around 9 am on a Saturday and had no problem grabbing a table. It was slowly getting busy and by the time we left there was a wait, so get there early for the best spot. I went with my usual bloody mary and it did not disappoint. However, I wish I had gotten the coffee because it's KONA COFFEE. How many places can you get that in Milwaukee where it's authentic? I stole a few sips of my husband's and ::drool::.
I snagged the veggie egg benedict and it was awesome. The blending of flavors and textures was perfect. As for my side I asked if I could get the beer cheese hash browns (which I saw listed with another entree choice) and holy smokes. Get the beer cheese hash browns. Just do it. And then do it again.
My husband tried out the challah french toast and he said it was definitely better than your average french toast. The sausage that came with was also large and flavorful.
We've only been there once but Toast has definitely jumped to the top five of my favorite brunch places in Milwaukee, and may have even made the top three. Go to Toast. And then take all your friends there. And then go again.
Anna Hampton
Honey lavender latte is to die for! Had the Sam I Am stuffed French toast sandwich. Holy. Everliving. God. Out of this world! Waitstaff was so pleasant and helpful. A totally perfect brunch experience. Will definitely be returning!
Mark Burkholz
Super good healthy food and they have their carry out game on point. Ordered food on line for pick up and everything was perfect and ready when requested. Friendly staff and easy access.
Cody
Awesome 50's inspired dinner/lounge. This place has awesome food that is absolutely delicious. This place is kind of hard to find though and looks like a dive but they have really done a good job with this place.
A H
Awesome food, super nice chill staff, the atmosphere is a mix between chill retro and modern pride! Really love this place 😍
Emily McGaver
This was a fun place! Not the best food I've had in Milwaukee, but still tasty. Seems to have a Spanish flair, which was fun. I loved the bright colors in the space and the music was on point.
Amber Brellenthin
Absolutely love this restaurant! The menu is so unique here so if you're looking for a special brunch this is definitely the place to go!
robert Reddick

Lisa Maxfield
A fun atmosphere with diverse menu.
Sally Klein
WOW beware if you get the mimosa flight you will be happy and very drunk. Food is all good, get literally anything.
Rauly Mejia
I’m all about nice places and this place has everything. Calm lighting, spacious seating, and delicious food. If you’re down for brunch and mimosas get a rezi and order a donut for desert. You won’t be dissatisfied.
David Hackbarth
Great food and mimosas! I’ve had the same waitress every time I’ve gone and love her! Just wish there was space to wait while waiting to be seated.
Jesus M Hernandez

Food is great there. I always get the "Sam I Am" french toast stuffed. Always very busy there.

Everything was great, atmosphere, service, food, drinks. I will definitely be back. Breakfast Sammie was delicious, the strawberry mango mimosas are dangerous. But, like good dangerous...

rice talk
The food was fantastic. The chicken and waffles were really well done. A very light sweet waffle with crispy tender chicken !
Amber Nicole
The food was decent but it's so packed and small in there it felt like I was eating with strangers, it made me a little anxious. It was also so loud in there I couldn't hear my friend talking. I wouldn't personally eat here for breakfast again for that reason, but don't let that deter you if you don't care about that.
Leonardo L Lopez Rangel
My new favorite brunch spot!!!
NaniS Camp
Pancake sliders were awesomesauce....bacon and beer cheese..enuff said!🍴🍩 …
Matthew Wofford

Adam Rosowicz
Highly unique menu items, each wilder sounding than the next! Would very much like to go back to sample more of these one of a kind dishes!
Nancy Barnett
Toast is terrific! Unique variations on a breakfast theme. Flavor jumps out at you. Coffee is smooth and strong - Kona! Had their 'donut of the day' - a S'more donut. Cake filling with a crispy, buttery outside flavor, lightly covered with marshmallow flavoring and actual marshmallows...with just the right amount of chocolate syrup.! Didn't need more...but I did and am SO GLAD!!! I will be back!
Sarah Johnson
Everything on the menu looks amazing! I was there with 3 other girls, and we all ordered something different. Everyone loved what the got, and shared. Will definitely be back!
