My girlfriend and I came in for a late dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant is an intimate space with only a handful of tables. After waiting a bit to be seated, we shared a couple main entrees and an appetizer. Be warned - portion sizes are quite generous. One entree could realistically feed two people, so I would either bring a big appetite or plan to take home leftovers.
I loved the tomato soup and the pasta dish. Their cocktails were also delicious. There were plenty of options for vegetarians. Their menu changes on a daily basis so I look forward to coming back and trying something entirely new!

Always 5 stars. And always arrive at 5 if you want a table! Love the changing menu, it never disappoints. We had the shrimp and grits cakes...incredible flavor and huge shrimp, just amazing. For main entree I had the pork dish. Tender juicy pork, ate every last bite. And I can't forget the team running the restaurant and kitchen: they are small but mighty! So warm and friendly despite a packed house. You must go to the Noble!!

What a amazing little place to go for dinner. We shared our meal. Started with appetizer it was a French onion with beef and cheese served with some yummy bread. The main meal was a steak with crab/ shrimp. The best was the dessert. Not even sure how to describe besides delicious!! Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. Everyone has said nothing but wonderful things about the noble. The prices were very reasonable. See you soon!

Last night, for a birthday dinner with friends, Andrea Dexter and I went to The Noble
The restaurant is small, and offers a daily changing menu made by a single chef in their attached (TINY!) kitchen. Just and FYI, this is the the type of place that doesn't seat anyone until everyone has arrived.
For drinks, we ordered iced tea. I'm not sure what spices they include in their tea, but unfortunately it was undrinkable. Neither Andrea nor I drank more than a few sips.
As an appetizer, we had the roasted garlic with bread. They served us 4 full bulbs of roasted garlic, which crushed and spread nicely on to the provided bread and parmesan for a savory treat! Delicious
Unfortunately, entrees took 1.5 hours to arrive (we sat at 5:45pm and got our entrees at 7:15pm). Others sat after us were being fed, and no discussion was made of our order until I asked.
Andrea ordered the bacon wrapped filet with blue cheese and butter, with a side of garlic mash and broccolini. She loved everything, and the steak was perfect cooked medium, but if you are looking to make the steak the Star, this is a bit overtaken by the cheese, seasoning, and butter. The garlic mash was creamy and plenty garlicky, and the broccolini was crispy and well seasoned.
For my entree, I ordered the Salisbury Steak, which came with green beans and garlic mash. The sides were great, with the garlic mash being buttery and the green beans well cooked and seasoned. However, as you can see the appearance of the Salisbury Steak was... off-putting. The taste, however, was good (not great) and certainly offered enough to fill me up.
Near the end of our meal, the waitress came by to advise us that we needed to be careful with hand sanitizer in the restaurant because it could damage their upholstery! A small bottle was being used by the table, and a toddler had a closed bottle in her hands (totally safe). Nothing was remotely in danger, and the comment, frankly, was out of line. This was not the first semi-rude encounter with this waitress during our stay...for example, she got upset about some water getting on their paper menu, despite the entire table being covered in a disposable paper tablecloth...not a good look. I get that your menu changes daily, but given that the paper menus don't...perhaps you should laminate them if you want them to last, and not have the bartender spill liquid all over the table.
Overall, the restaurant is fine, but certainly not worth the wait or dealing with the staff.

It’s a pretty small restaurant, so not many diners can eat at the same time. I recommend arriving early, otherwise you may be waiting for a long time (some patrons waited over an hour for a seat). My husband and I arrived before the restaurant opened, around 4:45pm, and we were the third couple in line. The food and cozy ambience were well worth the short wait outside!
We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup and it was super delicious. We also tried the goat cheese salad, which is now my absolute favorite salad ever!
All of the entrees looked amazing and it was very difficult to decide which to order. On the day we went, scallops were on the menu, so I tried those. They were pretty good. My husband ordered pork and was very satisfied.
Lastly, the butter cake was perfect! You cannot go to The Noble without ordering this dessert!

My husband and I had an early Friday night dinner at The Noble and we loved it! The small menu with straightforward options was refreshing. I had the catch of the day, my husband had a steak and both were delicious. We started with a spread trio that was perfect. The pink drink was just sweet enough with a sour twist and our server was happy to help with wine pairings. The dessert was my absolute favorite, an absolutely decadent dish layered with cheesecake and dense (I'm guessing pound cake) that I will be craving for the rest of my life! Although seating is limited, getting in for early dinner was great. Food and service was stellar! Definitely a new favorite spot!

Straight up one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. All the food is delicious. The cocktails are strong. The prices are fair. The servers are wonderful and extremely knowledgeable about all their food. We were able to get a half serving of the wild boar ragu as an appetizer and it was out of this world. For the entree, the double pork chop was my choice. It was also absolutely delicious. Topped with a glaze and peaches and accompanied with green beans and a very garlicky mash, it was all amazing. I am from Chicago but will absolutely come back to Milwaukee just to eat here again.

Everything was perfect! My in-laws were in town, so my husband and I decided to introduce them to The Noble experience. They were very impressed. All of our food was delicious—from the roasted garlic appetizer to all of our entrées to the amazing dessert to top it all off. We value the uniqueness of this restaurant. The chef and his wife are well seasoned and run a fantastic little place. Although you might face a long wait time due to the limited seating capacity, it is worth it. A little patience can go a long way here, and it will make your experience much more enjoyable. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a few cocktails before an unforgettable meal.

There are a fair amount of reviews here that disparage the service. I want to address that directly: they have a small team, all members of which are fantastic. Given they don’t take reservations and will not seat a party until all members are present, the hostess has to set firm boundaries. If you’re a person that hates boundaries, maybe you should eat at home. On to the food: to quote one of the servers describing their chef “that man can cook!” He certainly can. The food is amazing. The portions are mind-boggling. This is Midwestern fine dining at it’s best. Do yourself a favor and visit The Noble.

Their Monday brunch is always AMAZING. it's first come, first served, so you have to arrive before they even open to get a table. But it's well worth the wait. I've never had anything here I didn't like! Their drink specials are always crazy awesome and creative!
Kim Paveza
What a delightful experience. I truly loved the cozy atmosphere. The owner's, a husband and wife duo go above and beyond from start to finish. Each Appetizer, cocktail and entree are well thought, unique and delectable. Whatever you order, you won't be disappointed.

The Soups are amazing.
I had a wholesome bowl of Cream of broccoli.
When u want a healing bowl of Soup head here.
What striked with me is the eco-friendly take away boxes, for the first time in USA i saw a restaurant making an effort for environment.
The hostess are amazing people, they give personal attention to explain the Menu.
A must try 💜 in Milwaukee

Oh my god! First time eating here and I am amazed at how good the food is. If could give more than 5 stars I would. Food amazing, drinks tasty, and staff awesome.
Stacy Pruitt
The ambience is charming & lovely. The place is really small and definitely worth trying. The only thing is you don’t know the menu ahead of time...... I had a old fashioned drink and it was perfect! The staff were extremely friendly.
We had a trio of spreads app & I must say this was the best choice out of everything we had all night!!!
The main courses were good and the plates portions are generous.

Finally! I've been living in Milwaukee for two years and I finally made it to The Noble's Monday brunch! The Noble does brunch only on Mondays. The wait is long, but I think it's worth it! We got there at 10:30 and waited 30 minutes for The Noble to open. The inside of the restaurant is cramped (about 6 tables and a bar), so would be difficult with a large group. They have a standard menu for brunch, but they also have specials that change daily with three specialty cocktails. My friend ordered the bloody mary and it came with a giant crab cake! The coffee cocktail came with a slice of tiramisu! You sure get your money's and time's worth here! The whole thing is definitely an experience. While the ordering felt rushed, we did have to wait a long time for our food. I ordered the strawberry peach french toast which was perfectly fried and the sauce was delicious! One of my friends got the enchilada which was huge and everything was perfectly cooked in it! My other friend got the egg in a nest because we wanted to try the cheesy hash. I'm so glad we did! The cheesy hash was so good and would be the best hangover cure! I loved the food and the menu and was worth the wait and the price. Wouldn't recommend this place if you're short on time in Milwaukee, but if you can spare it, or you're a local, the foodie in you will thank you!

The Noble use to be a secret....but the word is out...If you want fresh everything...produce, meat, fish, prepared to perfection..this is the place!
A quaint, intimate and cozy, restaurant with a comparable 5 star Zagat quality fare: the Noble, located in the trendy 5th ward has it all. A small one room dining area (outside seating is available when weather permits) with a bar made from craftsman of days gone bye with carved, ornate, dark oak wood set the ambiance of the evening. I am a bar preference person and this was really a very comfortable setting that let me chat with the owner: April one of the proprietors and our server Caroline.
The owners: April & Dave take the greatest pride in the preparation of their fare. When presented the menu by Caroline, it came with the multiple choices that change daily. Caroline took great care to explain the specially prepared items for this particular evening. From the soup that had spices that never before caressed my palate to the "Hunter's Special" a succulent, super large tenderloin steak prepared to the perfect temperature, and seasoned with a heavenly smokey flavor and topped with melted cheese. This entree was accompanied with garlic mash potatoes and asparagus spears. The portion was large enough for a satisfying midnight snack.
We ordered the Caprice salad that was made with what tasted like vegetables picked outside their back door and topped with mozzarella cheese. My better-three quarter, had the fish that was described as light and favorable it was like eating spiced clouds.
There wasn't anything that I could give a negative. The price was indicative of a fine dining restaurant but with the ambiance of a cozy walk in European cafe.
I highly recommend this experience. But, you had better go early because of its size and local reputation, this jewel fills fast. Enjoy!

I've been here a couple times for Monday brunch. Never disappoints. Service and food are always on point. The creativity in the dishes and drinks is always a pleasant add on to the experience.
Barbara B
Great service, delicious food, but get there early to get in line for the opening seating!
SJ Bey
Tiny restaurant with a very cozy atmosphere. Music is great, food is great and servers are nice. We loved the place and will come back for sure.
Karissa Koster
Get there early for brunch to be seated right away, but amazing food and drinks.
Jessica Carey
Always a delicious rotating menu and fun drinks - meatball bloody mary!
Chris Brickhouse
The Noble should definitely be the first and last place you go when visiting Milwaukee. Approachable menu, friendly staff, small cozy atmosphere makes this the place to go for a date or with friends. In a world of Tapas, this place is opposite. Large servings of amazing dishes make this a spot to binge a craving or share a bunch of plates with your mates. GO!

This was my first time back at The Noble since COVID. And damn, the food, drinks, and atmosphere was fantastic! My husband and I have been here multiple times. This restaurant does not take reservations. I reccomend arriving 10-15 mins before opening to secure a seat. Otherwise, you can wait 45-1hr for seating. This is a small restaurant so keep that in mind. Even on a Thursday it gets pretty busy. The mushroom pate is *chefs kiss*. We order it every time, when available. Menu changes every day. Great portion sizes, I’ve never had a bad meal here. The drinks are very tasty. There is only 1 bartender/host so expect longer wait times for drinks/seating. Now, during my stay I did witness a couple with a baby walk out after waiting 20 mins. I wouldn’t consider this a kid friendly restaurant. This is a type of restaurant you meet up with friends after work or a romantic date night. The energy is lively and busy with good music. We’ll keep coming back because the food is damn good.
Lindsey Lawrence
Hands down one of the best meals we have ever eaten! Waited for an hour or so and was 1000% worth the wait! We ordered a melted cheese appetizer that was so good I could have done the backstroke through the cheese. The filet was cooked to perfection! The staff was AMAZING!!!
Casey Melcher
Great place. The chef creates the menu daily. The selection is deliberately small. Anyone with an open mind will love this place. Prices are decent. Butter cake is amazing.
sara devecchis
Adorable decor. Tasty cocktails. Friendly and attentive staff. Generous portions. Delicious food.
Rachel Stauss
Always excellent. This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to - and I've dined at Michelin star restaurants. The ever changing menu keeps it interesting, and we've truly never had a bad dish. I love the ambiance - high quality food in a casual, intimate setting. The prices are very reasonable for the quality.
I know some people are put off by the waiting system, but I personally think it adds to the experience. A couple of tips: Arrive right at 5 and keeping your group small - 4 or under. We've also gotten in quickly on 'off' nights - like a Saturday of St. Pats. It does take awhile to get a drink while you wait, because there are 2 people serving, bussing, expo'ing, bartending and hosting. Be patient & prepared to wait and you'll have a wonderful dining experience.
Ian Holsman
Their menu changes nightly, the dish I had was a vegetarian savoury french toast and it was delicious.. they also make a honey flavoured old fashioned which was quite nice.
Kathy Myles
Cozy dining atmosphere. The staff and chef are personable and the food is excellent!! Cannot wait to return.
Becca Bailey
Some of the best food I’ve had in the area since the pandemic started. I had the chicken sausage pasta today, and the meat sauce was some of the best I’ve ever had - you can tell the ingredients and produce are incredibly fresh, and the food is always so filling and delicious leftovers last me ages. Do NOT sleep on the butter cake - toppings were packaged individually so it wouldn’t get soggy, and the taste actually reminds me of angel food cake, but richer and full of flavor. Curbside was very easy, and staff is always very kind.
Tamur Farrokhnia
Great atmosphere, stellar drinks, and amazing food. This small space is fantastic for an intimate date night or cozy gathering with a few friends. Strongly recommend getting there early or being prepared for a wait, as there are only 6 tables and a few bar spaces.
Matt Starr
The Nobel offers a small intimate dining experience. The menu is completely unique and different every day, so it is a bit like an adventure in dining. Also come hungry because they always have large portions. I have always loved the food that was served here.
There are several categories of food they always serve, but each day the exact food served changes on what the chef comes up with and can find for ingredients. There are around 5-6 tables and a bar so large groups are not recommended. If it is nice out, there is a little more seating outside.
With COVID-19, they are doing pickup. Same great food but to go. There are always huge portions. I have started enjoying their Monday Brunch menu.
Terry Baker
Oh my goodness, the amount of food they give you was a huge amount. When you look at this place from the outside you or at least I thought this place is going to be terrible. The prices are alittle high for me but I decided on the macaroni and cheese with brisket. The food was excellent and we had left overs for the next two days. So don't judge the place by the outside.
Emily McGaver
We had a very enjoyable experience and will return in the future! Unique in many ways. Due to it's small size, you should expect to wait for your food some as they only have one chef. The servers all work together at all the tables, which creates a very nice environment. As others have mentioned the portion sizes are more than generous and the meals are very fairly priced. All the food was perfectly cooked and we loved that the menu changes daily. A great place to check out if you aren't in a hurry!
Tim Witmer
Great food, great cocktails, and great service.
Menu changes daily and features meat, seafood, and vegetarian options. Have yet to try something I haven't loved.
They don't take reservations and only have a handful of tables, so make sure you're there when the doors open if you want to get a table right away. If you want to grab a table later in the evening, plan on grabbing a few drinks at the bar while you wait for a table to open up.
Amanda Zielke
Worth the wait! The drinks, appetizers, dinner and desserts were all AMAZING!
Augusta Faucett
New to town and this place has become a favorite for my friends and I. They change their menu daily which is cool but they also have several items that are available all the time. I encourage people to try the baked brie which is amazing!! Only four stars because of how tiny the place is. The first time I went I was pretty turned off by the waitress who kept squeezing between our table and the one next to us and her bum kept grazing my shoulder. Then to have her bum right in our face as she explained the menu and took orders for them... it just wasn’t pleasant.
Nikhil M
Went here for brunch today on a recommendation from a Milwaukee resident that we met at a coffee shop. They do have a Monday brunch menu that has reasonable prices ($8-9 for most dishes) and the portion sizes are huge. But the taste/flavor is nothing special. There's some outdoor seating and a couple of the staff were friendly but the one serving us is probably better off behind an office desk. I do suggest sticking to the printed Monday brunch menu. The 'verbal menu' is overpriced and random.
Marcelle de Cássia Costa
Very nice place, small and cozy. The music was very nice, creating a very pleasant atmosphere.
The tomato soup I got for an appetizer tasted good. It was not as warm as I would like it to be but it was not cold. The waitress was nice enough to get us some bread to eat with the soups when we asked even though it wasn't on the menu. The main course was good but the fish was not cooked enough for my taste.
Overall the food was good and the experience too.
Liz Poeschl
The best dinner in Milwaukee hands down. Perfect for date night- don't go with more than a group of 4 due to the small size of the restaurant. The menus changes daily and never disappoints. There's been many times where I've looked at the menu online and been apprehensive if I would like the offerings for the night. Then you hear the dishes described and I always have a tough time deciding what to get. It's been so challenging that I've ordered 3 entrees with my husband and every dish was amazing. Try your best to save room for their incredible desserts, especially the cream cheese butter cake.
Respect the menu for being unique and enjoy a cozy, delicious meal unlike any other in Milwaukee.
Bryan Castillo
Classy and cute. The one chef must pour all of his time and energy into the daily changing menu. You can taste the results of the passion.
Nicole
I just cannot say enough about how incredibly delicious my meal was for carry out. Typically, I don’t expect food to be great when it’s carry out. Given Covid, I wanted to give my support back to a local restaurant. When I got home, the meals the owner prepared were absolutely delicious. The restaurant was closed when I called. I told the owner I would try another time and that I didn’t want to keep him open. He insisted saying he was just hanging out. Wow! What amazing service! He paired a lovely bottle of wine for the meals as well. If you haven’t had the opportunity to try this fabulous restaurant, now is the time. Our local restaurants need our support.
Jessica Darczuk
Monday brunch on mlk day was packed. Staff are amazing. The food was great but my coffee was on the weak side and kale was gritty so 4 stars.
Jessica m
Always amazing! David is seriously so talented. Everything he makes is Incredible . My boyfriend, and I always joke that he must have a magic stove back there, because everything comes out perfect. The meat is always so tender, and the flavors of all the dishes are always great! The portions are good sized and the prices are super reasonable. Their steaks are better Than the restaurants that are suppose to be the top steak houses. It is my favorite restaurant, check it out!
Dan Lentsch
Had a great dinner here. Super unique and fluid menu that changes daily. Small, so make sure you get there with plenty of time!
Andres
This was a great experience. It's a nice cozy, and warm place. The staff was great, specifically Grace. She was super welcoming and informative. The food was absolutely delicious. If I'm ever in the Milwaukee area again, I would make it a point to comeback here. Great cocktails to top it all off!
Kevin Paprocki
I've only had their Monday brunch, but the food is incredible and the staff is authentic and genuinely into the mission of the restaurant. They do great things here, folks.
Janice Lynch
This is a quaint and cute restaurant with a speakeasy vibe. The service, drinks, and food were all fantastic. They don't take reservations so 2 friends and I came in around 6pm on a Tuesday night but all the tables were full so we sat at the bar. I was actually glad we sat at the bar because we got to watch the bartenders make some of the cocktails from scratch which was fun. The staff were also very friendly and attentive and served us our drinks right away. We ordered right away and we ended up splitting the dip red wine dip which was delicious. The bread that came with it was toasted well and had great flavor. I ordered the chicken parmesan as my main dish and it was rich and tasty. There was a great amount of greens and cheese on the top of the dish. The chicken was also well cooked. Couscous was used in replacement of the typical pasta you get with chicken parmesan and it was cooked very well. Couscous has the tendency to be too mushy at times but they made it perfect.
Meg Daniel
Wowza! Awesome service, awesome meal, awesome space! My sister brought us for dinner after singing their praises from their regular visits.
The restaurant is cozy. There are limited tables, but ample staff so you feel very well cared for.
The meal was excellent. We shared a spread sampler. All 4 of us had separate entrées - some of my sister's favorites as well as a few daily specials. We all really enjoyed them. We also ordered 2 of their cheesecakes - pear with port and turtle. The port dessert was a bit strong in flavor for me, but my port-loving husband enjoyed it. The shortbread crust on both were great.
Their drinks are well mixed and there is a nice wine selection.
Janee Pederson
Went to The Nobel for a birthday dinner, just me and my fiance. We got cocktails (I recommend the Au Pear), apps, an entree, and dessert (BUTTER CAKE). Every single thing was delicious and a large portion size. The restaurant is quite small, but the food is a big deal. I will definitely go back and tell my friends to try it out.
Lance Wooten
Dined here for the first time this evening. Everything was excellent! The food, the service, the ambiance, the play list was all 5 stars in my opinion. This may be my new favorite restaurant in Milwaukee.
J F
My favorite restaurant in Milwaukee!! Very romantic with just a few tables and the restaurant mostly lit by candlelight. I love that the menu changes everyday! There are always gluten-free options as well. They do not take reservations so be prepared to come early or later for dinner. I highly recommend getting an old fashioned as well!
Helen Padden
I love the rotating menu - there’s always something new to try, and it’s always delicious! Their passion for cuisine and hospitality has been evident during all of my experiences with the Noble
Ashley Smith
OMG. We just left and it was so good, let me say it again so good. Service A+ Food A++ and we left full and happy. Also prices very reasonable for the quality of food. One of the best steaks I've ever had. We will be going back soon. Getting there before 6 greatly accelerated our seating and service. (Very limited seating). Honestly can't say enough nice things. Couldn't even take a picture because I didn't want to stop eating.
Megan Thompson
Amazing brunch. The beet box is my favorite cocktail and the steak faux Benedict is delightful. Everything I have had here has gone above and beyond my expectations. Creative and delicious specials, awesome service and enjoyable atmosphere.
Max Gareau
We were amazingly surprised by this place. Not expecting too much, but the menu was ridiculously good. Awesome craft beers to choose from. The cheesecake dessert was so decadent it took two days to eat, but I savoured every bite.
Lyndzi Miller
Amazing food, new menu every day with fresh ingredients. I got a crispy tofu Kung pow dish that was really delicious. Definitely a place for foodies. Will absolutely return to try out their new dishes. Smaller place, really cozy. My date and I sat outside on the patio and it was very pleasant.
Heidi Zachow
Our son brings us here for Christmas. Each time we try something different, because its always different, and its always outstanding. The food is cooked perfectly for us. The two servers behind the bar are great, they keep things organized and moving along. We enjoyed every minute!
Justin Maier
Small place, but still fun. The food has potential for being very good, but for whatever reason 3 of our 6 friends complained that the main meal was way too salty. I'm assuming something was just off. I would definitely try again. The chicken chowder soup was very good.
Jaime Meyer
Charming, absolutely charming. I felt a little like I was enjoying a wonderful dinner a close friend's house. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was terrific, they have a long and varying list of specials that changes daily. I also adore the decor. I had a silly grin on my face the entire time I was there as I was discovering the eclectic collection of wall art. This is a tiny little restaurant, but it has so much to offer.
Abby Thompson
My favorite place to eat in Milwaukee! The ambiance is charming, the food is always AMAZING, and the cocktails are just as good. Totally recommend getting an old fashioned and always get the trio of dips. In the summer, try to sit outside, it's a perfect extension of this little slice of heaven.
Kevin N
Saw this place online and just had to try it while visiting Milwaukee. At first you walk in and think the place is too small, but then I seconds after sitting, appreciate the quaintness of the restaurant. The food there is fresh DAILY. The staff there was super friendly and they give you a very detailed run down of the menu. We had the Duck Nachos, crab cakes, and the 14oz Ribeye. The chef here is amazing. The food was beyond delectable. Also, they have a great wine, cocktail, and beer list! This place is a must if your downtown MKE! Note: we got there later and it wasn't packed, but we have heard that they usually have a line out the door!
Sue Oelke
A totally amazing restaurant. The menu changes daily. Four of us went tonight and each entire was unique and Amazing!!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this establishment - try it you will love it!!!
Samira Waquil
One of my favourite places in MKE!
Amanda Potter
A very nice and romantic place. The wait is a little long for dinner on a Saturday. I had pork and pasta and it was amazing! I love coming here and wish I can come more often. Staff is super knowlegable and friendly. And if you are a foodie like I am their menu changes everyday, so there is always something new and interesting to try. I would highly recommend this place. It is one of my favorites.
Riley Halstead
The Noble has been our favorite restaurant in Milwaukee for the last 5+ years. We drive 35 minutes one way to pick it up each time bc we moved out of MKE. 10/10 and highly recommend. Takeout was awesome tonight
Micaela Kuntz
High quality, hand crafted, recipes and preparation - definitely worth the wait to enjoy and truly taste real food. Cannot rev enough on this place.
Dan Leunig
Small, farm to table. Limited menu, all fresh and very tasty.
Vegetarian and other options.
Good cocktails and craft beer.
Caroline Zavislak
Absolutely delicious food. Love the concept. The menu changes always promise to be creative, filling, and delicious. Portion sizes are great. For the quality of food (and wine) you cannot beat the price. The down side is of course the small space, so go early or you may be waiting for a while. Really do love this little gem though. Everything is always fantastic.
M S (夢妮)
Great food. Place for a casual and no-hurry experience. Plan for a two-hour lunch.
Went there with a friend who liked the place for lunch at around 1:30. Place was still very packed and took a while to get the orders in and the food. The veggie hash was tasty with variety of squash and potatoes and peppers and kale. The kale was cooked to a crunch-tender where you can still taste the kale itself. Khalua bread pudding was moist, spongy, and flavorful. Will have to go back when I have more time to spare since no one was in a hurry at the place.
Brad Clarkson
My favorite restaurant in town. The ever changing menu is always spectacular and interesting. Last visit they had a curry beet soup that was one of the best soup's I've ever had. And if you try anything form the pork to the veggie special you won't be disappointed. And on top of the great food the staff is absolutely top notch. They all know what they're doing and they are wonderful people. I would and have recommended this place to anyone.

We were just so pleased to have celebrated our anniversary at the Noble last night. My favorite restaurant in MKE is Sanford and we had planned to go there but decided to try the Noble last minute. Everything about The Noble was charming, rich and delicious. We learned the tiny restaurant is run by a husband and wife team who together wear all the hats necessary to run a first rate operation. The cocktails were unique and interesting and reminded me of the creativity and flavor of Bryant's. The food was outstanding, flavorful and served generously. It is clear right away that the chef knows how to prepare the kind of food you'll think about for days. I told my husband when we go back, and we will go back, I will have a hard time trying anything other than whatever interesting version of steak they offer that night. We took our dessert to go and enjoyed it late at night, the perfect nightcap to a wonderful anniversary.
Erik Kroll
Dear Noble chef, thank you so much for an amazing dinner. Every dish we ate had such deep, rich flavors in them. The Reuben dip was the best appetizer my wife said she ever had, the main courses were extremely delicious, and your mother has one hell of a recipe in that butter cake. I've never had a dessert like that before and I hope you have that again when we come back!
Jill Hoverman
Everything was beyond expectations from apps to dessert. The trio of speads included a generous portion of three very flavorful spreads that paired well with cocktails. The eggplant was crispy on the outside and creamy inside. Order dessert even if you are full. Whipped cream is perfection and brownie was warm moist and delicious. service is great. Only place for date night from now on.
Erasmus Zacharias
Dave, April, and their amazing crew take great pride in serving amazing food. They have a few regular items in the menu, but a large portion of the menu changes daily based on a combination of what is seasonal, and the creative inspiration of the kitchen staff. If you can, take the time to sit down and savor an entree. If you are just looking for a drink and a snack, grab a seat at the bar and grab an appetizer or some soup. They are great with wine/beer/cocktail pairings for any food you order. Not hungry? They make some amazing cocktails, and have some tasty wine and beers also. Walkers Point has an abundance of amazing food, and The Noble is the hidden gem of South 2nd Street.
Natali H
The menu is always changing, but in all the right ways. Food is great, staff is helpful and friendly (trust their selections!), great date spot.
Alicia Scott
April and David are easily the most gracious host you'll ever experience. Their passion together for Noble shows every time you walk through their door. April will greet you the instant you walk in, and is always excited to see you. Honestly, the wait time can be a bit nuts... It typically goes by quickly with either games or conversation with other eager local folks. The wait. Please- do it. They do a really great job with bringing joy to the community not only by filling our bellies, but by bringing good people together. Thanks, you guys. Keep being rad.
Ford Timelord
I'm from Chicago. I stopped in randomly on a lark with my GF. Excellent drinks...the dining experience . One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Menus change daily. Chef/owner uses fresh local ingredients. Five stars!
Keegan Allen
My favorite restaurant in all of Milwaukee. Friend service and wonderful food. Everyone involved shows a huge amount of pride in what they do and it shows. A rotating menu along with some standbys guarantees that you'll never get bored or be disappointed. The perfect restaurant for a special date or celebratory dinner. Just make sure you get there early to secure a table.
Megan Ruffing
The food is almost always on point. This time my hens and chicks was a bit over done but, the staff made up for it with pure entertainment behind the bar and a few shots. Great ambiance, and good service. One of the staff gets a bit annoyed when customers do not listen and can get a bit loud/bossy, but I feel like adults should listen the first time. It's a small place, wait in the appropriate spot. The wait is worth it, and you will wait if your not there for brunch at 11:00 Or before. If you don't think so, go somewhere else... More fun and good foodfor me.
Jennifer Crozier
This place is amazing! I got the Bloody Mary special and it had a whole delicious ham sandwich in addition to a medley of pickled veggies. Marisa was delightful, you couldn’t ask for better service! The brunch was so good and the atmosphere was perfect.
Bryan Miller
Small and intimate, great food at decent prices, especially for the quality. I wish I had saved room for dessert, it looked amazing. Expect to pay about $70-$110 for a nice dinner for two, not including drinks.
MKE ULTRA
Great food on a rotating menu. You can tell the the dishes are prepared with a lot of love from the kitchen staff. There is always an entree that is lighter fare, a meat dish, and a vegetarian option. You can find out what they're currently serving on their Facebook page. It's a very small location with limited seating so they won't seat your group until you are all there, but it's worth waiting if you have to.
Emmanuel Tavares
One of my favorite restaurants around town. Great food, and I really enjoy the changing menu. I always order things "whatever the chef recommends" which has been excellent. Friendly staff who knows the menu every night
Supkit Jamrasmee
Worth the wait. Great drinks and food
Scott Davis
The food, as always, was spectacular. Well prepared, huge portions, amazing flavor. However, the service really fell flat. Because there were three of us, seating at the bar wasn't a good option. So, we declined and asked for a table, told there was one group ahead of us. Somehow, two groups were seated before us. Ok, I get it when you're busy, maybe a mistake happens. We mentioned it to the server, who basically dismissed it. Second issue, our order was slow to arrive, noticeably so, as mentioned by our guest, himself a trained chef. Maybe tonight was off. This is not what I experienced in all the other times I've been there. Bummer. First world problem.
Billie Hawkins
My God. What can't I say about this the experience was amazing. The girls were perfect. The food was to DIE for. Different menu every week, all of it worth a try. So much worth the wait. Get there early and get in first. Monday brunch. Don't think. Just go.
Meryl Fitzpatrick
First time coming and wasn't sure what to expect. We are not from Milwaukee. I assumed this was gonna be in the heart of downtown. Interesting neighborhood. The place is old and tiny but that adds to the charm. I expected the wait to be long and it was, with no real options to hang out and relax. However, we had a blast waiting anyway and let me tell you, absolutely worth the wait!!!
Kathy Weatherly
Foods is fabulous, but it’s difficult to leave without a bad taste in your mouth due to one woman in the wait staff. I watched her down 4 cocktails and a couple beers in one hour, she’s an ugly drunk, sharp tougued, snapping at the customers, interfers with efficiency of the wait staff, and ruins a great place.
Carl Kaiponen
One of the best steaks I've ever had. The atmosphere is awesome! The staff is hands down the best in the city!
Sarah Hogan
Love this place!! There's a constantly changing farm-to-table style menu, delicious drinks and friendly staff. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait pretty much anytime you go.
Michael Wesolowski
Amazing friendly service, great cocktails and a cozy casual atmosphere that is just fantastic! We had the Pumpkin Ginger soup, Duck Bruschetta and the Monkfish with a lemon-bacon sauce which was incredible. I will definitely be back!
Kelly Jo Brandt
Ate at the bar because all other tables were taken and they don't do reservations. Tight fit and not a place that could serve large groups well but was perfect for a two person party. Got a trio of spreads which was great and a Mac 'N Cheese. Would come back. Good send right for the price.
Ken Park
Fantastic food, with daily changing menu. Small intimate venue. Friendly staff. Old time rock and roll music. Great selection of beers, cocktails, and wine. You can't go wrong!
gavin rice
We really like it here! Great decor & music, great quality, ever-changing, interesting menu, and awesome desserts (if you still have room!).
Highly recommended, but get here early or be patient... it’s a small place and they do not do reservations.
Paula Barrett
This tiny 6 table resturant has amazing food, and the menu changes every night. Four of us visited tonight and we all had something different, and each of us loved our choices. The portions were generous, and the prices were very fair. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars was due to their out and out rude hostess ( who was also a waitress, but thankfully not ours). She greeted 3 of us stating they wouldn't seat us until all 4 of us were present (no problem). There were only 2 other people in the whole resturant at the time. We went to sit at the totally empty bar for a drink, and she told us we couldn't sit, because they seat guests for dinner at the bar. We told her we would happily move if they needed to seat guests, but she told us we could not be seated, and we should go wait in front near the windows. We stood near the bar, and she again told us to go stand in the front, we explained we wanted to get a drink, and she again told us to stand in the front and she would get to us for drinks soon. Again, there were only 2 other guests in the entire place. The crabby hostess did take our drink orders rather quickly and served the drinks with the bill....I guess you can't run a tab. When we settled our drink bill, the hostess from hell felt compelled to tell us, if she would seat the 3 of us, and our friend would walk in late, she would not be allowed to sit with us....they have a no add on policy. We had only been waiting for our 4th friend about 10 minutes, so I'm not sure why she felt she had to tell us that bit of information. Luckily our friend arrived about 3 minutes later and we were seated away from this very unwelcoming hostess. Although we got off to a bad start, the fantastic food still made this a great visit.
Nathan Scherper
Easily the best restaurant in Milwaukee. Huge portions, classic yet unique food with amazing flavors, good cocktails, friendly people, and a really cool space indoors and out. You may have to wait for a table, but once you eat their you will realize why people are waiting.
Stefani
The Noble is a bit of a hole in the wall, but that is part of its charm. We came on a Friday night and as expected, they were busy. They seemed to be short-staffed, which proved to be an issue. We sat in an adorable little spot right next to the bar, in plain sight, browsing the drink menu. After waiting for close to 15 minutes, we were not acknowledged. The bartenders seemed to be in over their heads, which I can understand, but there was no attempt made to serve us.
Tony Matoska
Fantastic food and atmosphere. Crab cakes we're awesome. The steak I had was very good and my wife enjoyed her pork. Look forward to coming again
Chad Lang
Got here early on a Thursday and they weren't ready to let us in 5 after the opening. The service was great, along with the food, but my beer came warm twice, which was very weird to me. Good little place, prices are a little high, but very good place for a small group.
Natalie Shane
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. We’ve come here a handful of times, and every single time the food is absolutely amazing, the atmosphere is always so fun and the staff works their tails off here. The one thing I would say to anyone considering going here is that this isn’t Applebee’s or a quick bite, it’s a dining experience, come with a relaxed mind set and expecting to wait and you will love your experience here. I recommend this place to everyone I know because it’s absolutely the best!!!
Kate Callan
The restaurant has limited space and a small group of two is your best bet for getting a table. The staff were very kind and I reccomend the old fashion, it is delicious, and the hunter option, it is superb. Satisfaction would be an understatement!!
Adam Landwehr
Best food in MKE...I have visited 3 times in 6 weeks, had pork dish all three times made 3 differnt ways all top knotch...also tried the wife's steak both times...that also was cooked to perfection...alot of people who have reviewed this place comment about front end being rude or short....they are being a little unreasonable...I couldn't imagine doing what they do day in and day out...staff is great head chef is on a whole different level!!!!!! I will be going again soon!!!
Andrew Jadczak
Been coming here for years. The best meal in Milwaukee. I question low star rating as I have only been met with kind and attentive service here. Maybe low star ratings are for pretentious diners who demand full attention from everyone when they go out?
Steve Steve
Unpretentious, cozy and welcoming. A server whose eloquence sold us on almost every daily special. Unique cocktail creations. Tasty dishes that delivered on the server's promise. Combine The Noble with a kindred spirit companion and the magic will unfold before you in a sensory extravaganza.
Teddy Esser
Hands down one of my favorite places in Milwaukee. The food is never less than stellar and the staff might even surpass that. If you're around Walkers Point, make sure to stop by, especially for Monday brunch.
derf dunn
Fresh and high quality ingrediants with a small, intimate menu is the cornerstone of the Noble. Food is well thought out and very flavorful. Portions are large, and cocktails are hand crafted. This place is small so come early.
darwin
Great food. Entrees change daily.
Small place that does NOT take reservations. This fact means it is not for everyone. If you need to eat before a play or other event, your plans will run up against the fact that they only have seating for 22 people.
If you go on a Friday or Saturday, be standing outside before they open at 5pm or else be prepared for a long wait. Better solution -- go to this restaurant on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
I love this place.
Nassim T
Le meilleur endroit où j'ai mangé aux Etats-Unis / Best restaurant I have been to in the US.
The food was fantastic, not a given since the menu changes everyday, the beers choice was great, the place is cozy (seriously, even the lighting is just at the right level), the team is very welcoming, the prices are reasonable... if I come back to Milwaukee, I'll definitely stop at the Noble !
Fred Hofstetter
I'm just a regular meat and potatoes kind-a fella. Food's not an EXPERIENCE for me. Food is the step between me being ornery/sleepy and me doing something that requires energy. For a peasant like myself - on the pricey side. BUT, if you're a food experiencer, you'll love this place. Good place for a date. Friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent food.
Jessica Sloan
The last couple times I have been here the woman (I believe they call Mindy) has been so rude. I became a patron off a suggestion from a friend, and brought friends and family here several times. The last 2 times have been just awful as far as the service. It's almost like they don't want your business. Recently my employer was hosting an event and we thought about maybe asking them if they would be interested in catering it. The event brings in a lot of different people, but after a recent visit we decided we were not willing to risk it given the attitude. It's too bad because the food here is great and worth a wait, but I am unsure we will return anytime soon, and we will be sure to spread the word of the attitude that leaves a poor taste, which unfortunately trumps the taste of the food!
Cody Fitzwilliams
Dined for the first time last Friday (8/28/2015). Everything was amazing. After our server made it through the offerings, I wanted 3 of everything. Started with the exotic mushroom truffle oil pâté and a cup of the sirloin chili. Date had the crab bacon poblano smothered filet mignon and I went with the peach topped pork (corn pudding was awesome). I have to say the beef was literally melt in your mouth tender. For dessert, we had the bread pudding with blackberries and it was deliciously soaked in brandy. I would have love to also tried the pierogis, sweetbreads, salmon, etc. Next time! The three servers worked very well together. There was no wait to be seated (~7:30pm) and we were lucky to get our own table near the back of the restaurant.
Zachary Spencer
Probably the best place in Milwaukee. Good food good drinks good people good music the atmosphere is perfect.
Trevor Erickson
Unique, intimate and fantastic food! The staff was friendly and attentive; the food was outstanding and served in generous portions. As someone who dines out frequently in the area, I'm thrilled to add this Fifth Ward gem to my rotation!
Jeff Nicolai
The menu changes daily. The owners are great
Christopher Thomas
There was a wait but there are only five tables. Food was fantastic. Had skirt steak cooking perfectly. Best thing was the vegetables. Crispy and tasted great.
Robert M
Great dinner tonight--Blood orange manhattans to start, then cripsy pork belly with honey glaze for an app. The salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and peas and carrots was an outstanding version of an American classic. The trout stuffed with crab was delicious and uniquely flavorful, served with rice and garlic-sauteed green beans. Sauvignon Blanc and Bordeaux went nicely with these dishes. No room for dessert--such lovely meals.
Jessica Jacobs
Service industry brunch at The Noble is a must-have Milwaukee experience! Their menu is different every Monday, and this place is super popular, so go early and be prepared to drink delicious craft cocktails (some featuring a whole Cutie as the garnish) while you wait!
Matt Minga
I have been here a couple times and had great meals. Some of the cocktails are hit or miss. The interior is definitely cozy but adds to the charm.
Clifford Hull
Deviled eggs with Cajun shrimp, strip steak with garlicky potatoes and cream cheese butter cake. All exceptionally well prepared. Cozier than home.
Matthew Krajnak
On the odd Monday when we're both off work, Cookie and I love brunching at The Noble. Servers are cordial and attentive, even while we're waiting for a table. And, the food... Nothing short of world-class.
Lawrence T
Great tasting food, menu is always changing. Only complaint is that their beers aren't as cold as I would like it, but their cocktails are amazing
Payal Sanghani
This is one of my favorite spots in Milwaukee. It is cozy, the service is excellent, and the food and drinks are amazing. It's a great place for a date night, to celebrate or to just hang out.
Cameron Jaeger
Follow the rules, don't be a di'#, and treat yourself to a divine culinary treasure.
Calvin Stokes
Amazing food. Though, due to its size, if you have issues with "personal space," this is not the place for you. While stated in a light hearted matter, it will be a very unpleasant experience for some.
Guen A
Great food, friendly staff. Responsible pandemic carryout but be prepared for a long wait once they return to in person service.
Peggy Givler
It's the best-kept secret in town. Have eaten there at least 15 times and the quality stays consistent. Mouth watering menu, friendly staff and atmosphere
Steven F.
This is my wife and my favorite place to eat out. There is a rotating menu that always has something for everyone's individual taste. A bit pricey but worth every penny whenever we have gone.
Stu
Lived in Milwaukee for going on 10 years. Hands down favorite restaurant. Everything is fresh. No freezer, no microwave. Quaint and a perfect date spot. 10/10
Meghan Gindt
BEST FOOD IN MILWAUKEE BY FAR.
The highest “worth it” value. Hope it stays around forever and ever. 🤌🏼 …
Kathy Thomas
Food was exquisite, really well done. That will bring me back. Wait staff was pleasant - but there are RULES which give customer's an unwelcome vibe now and then. Hope "operations" can become more customer oriented.
Paul Shinkle
Superior food in a snappy setting. Tip to the waitstaff...your dining room is too intimate to work out your issues on the floor. Before service, sil vous plait.
Mike Spude
My new favorite restaurant in Milwaukee. Food, drinks and service are outstanding.
pdleo
The food is always excellent and the prices are good. They always have something interesting on the menu and their beer selection is good. Never been disappointed.
Adam Knapp
Had dinner last night and we met the owner to thank him for our wonderful meal. Delightful man and most gracious of our thanks. If we're ever back here again we will definitely go there again. 😊 …
Nathan Dykstra
An upscale option in the area. The food is fantastic and the staff are super friendly. Grab a dapper hat from around the room while you wait to be seated in the limited space.

Very excellent food, however they are very strict on everything they do, tight ship. But it adds to the excellence in a very peculiar way. Great food.

My wife and I went here after a couple friends recommended it to us and we absolutely loved it! It's small but that just makes it that much more intimate. Our food was absolutely fantastic and so was the service! The menu changes depending on what they get that day so it makes you want to go back again and again! We will definitely be back!
Talea Bloom
A gem among a sea of mediocrity the Noble is a delight to all my senses.
Farm to table, the menu changes constantly, is creative and well executed.
Only a very picky person would find fault with this establishment which aims to please.
If you find yourself in Milwaukee please check them out.
Reservations a must as the dining room is tiny and fills up fast.
