Nice spot for Happy Hour from 3-6pm. They have a variety of small bites/appetizers as well as drink specials - all around $6/each. The tater tots are unique in that they are very large and more like potato croquettes than typical tater tots as a side to a sandwich. The service was a little slow, but that’s to be expected with staff shortages, so overall it was nice.

Very warm place to meet your friends and have a coffee and a decent breakfast or lunch. Liked its vintage atmosphere and quality food with multiple options and good pancakes, too. I would come back again. Better to reserve because it is quite busy :)

Great patio. Food was fantastic. We loved the bacon cheeseburger, and enjoyed the Cobb salad with Parmesan dressing. It did come with a lot of blue cheese, warning to ask for it on the side or not at all if you aren’t a fan.

Stopped by for lunch during the week, super place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. The wait staff was wonderful and very attentive. I had a blue cheese and bacon burger with waffle fries, couldn’t finish it all because it was a very generous portion. I highly recommend giving them a try, well worth it!!!

Stopped in for brunch on a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. My family enjoyed everything we ordered. Crab Hash, Egg Sandwich, Huevos Rancheros and French Toast. Sat outside on the patio on a beautiful morning.

If you want to have modern American food, this is the place to go. Plates are huge, so if you’re not too hungry, make sure you take only half. The food is super delicious. The only (little) downside is that sitting outside is quite loud and the seats are not very comfortable. But the food makes up for that!

We had a wonderful brunch experience dining at the Knick! We decided to make reservations on the open table app which was helpful. There was covered outdoor seating which was nice. The host was very friendly and was doing a great job training a new employee. Our server Christian was very friendly as well and was very patient with us while we My sister and I couldn’t choose between a few entrees so we decided to order and split 3 entrees. We ended up getting the French toast, the quiche and the chicken and waffles. The French toast was very good and was a very generous portion. It didn’t have a heavy drenched egg flavor, it was light and fluffy. The quiche was great, it was very rich and the crush was flaky and buttery. The chicken and waffles was delicious. I liked that the chicken was in smaller pieces so you’re not having to cut your chicken. I would’ve liked if the waffle was a bit bigger, it was a little too small for a entree. Overall, it was a great experience dining at the Knick. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their entrees.

Wonderful breakfast spot near the hotel. Great outdoor seating and comfortable first come first serve bar. Food was delicious and unique!

Early October visit with 20 mile per hour winds and temps in the 50s. Ate on a sheltered porch and they turned on the overhead heaters so that it felt great out there. Nice little park across the street and quiet in regards to traffic. Food was reasonably priced. They had a full bar and local beers on tap that helped kick off my wife and my first post pandemic/endemic get away. I would skip the tater tot appetizer if you like them crispy. If you like your tater tots slightly spicy from jalapeno and with the texture of mashed potatoes you are in the right place.

5 star joint. Food is really good, scallops were off the charts when I got them. They make a mean old fashioned, super boozy. Great on a Friday evening. Service was top class too. Phenomenal place both times I've swung through.

Great for brunch. I've never had bad service. They can get busy so service can slow down but they are apologetic and always, always keep me updated. Plus it's right by the lake so it's a nice view. The people watching is always fun.

I haven’t been in a while, long enough for the menu to change up a bit. Long enough for me to forget about the tator tots. They aren’t your typical tots as a usual tot lover would expect. They’re a mashed potato consistency. (Which I didn’t like btw) With all the apps we ordered I wasn’t able to finish my burger. I’m a big guy so I say that to say they have nice sized helpings lol. Our masked waitress was cool too.

I had the Chinese Chicken Salad as my own starter, it was delicious and fresh, bursting with flavor. Then I had the Avacado Bacon Cheeseburger, exquisite. Outstanding service from our waiter, Devin!!!

We were lucky enough to get reservations on the last day of restaurant week for the lunch options and be assigned Kamy as our waitress. Please forgive me Kamy if I spelled your name wrong. She was so happy and cheerful, even after being thrown into the fire with a bunch of amateur diners all afternoon. It took us forever to decide what we wanted, and even requested some additional changes. Kamy was patient, kind, and met all of our requests. Not only was the timing of the food perfect.... Kamy also did the little things that makes any dining experience that much better. She delivered drinks holding the glass from the bottom and not up at the the rim, removing plates and utensils between courses, and kept my coffee full and hot! They could have given smaller portions or less quality food with the service we received and I would have been satisfied. However, the food portions were just amazing and delicious. The Caesar dressing had ground anchovies and was spot on, the tomato gazpacho was adorned with the perfect assortment of toppings that created a balance between flavors and texture on the palate. Surprisingly, the waffle fries (who raves about waffle fries, right?) were the best I have EVER had. I wanted to leave some on the plate and I couldn't stop! Finally the raspberry compote cheesecake was silky and capped off a tremendous experience. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!!

The environment was very nice. The pork chop was tender with a sweet sauce and some fingerling potatoes on the side. The potato crusted salmon was tender and moist with a side of seasoned asparagus and some potatoes. The tator tots were super tasty! For dessert we had the bread pudding with a side of ice cream. It was delicious! Also if you happen to get a window seat the views are stunning. The waitress was friendly and super polite.

The fries is like if chick-fil-a and pop-eyes had a love child! Very crisp and well seasoned! I also recommend the lemon cake, as it was a nice blend of lemon, cream, soft vanilla batter with the caramel drizzle, MMM!!

Holy cats! The 2 apps I got were phenomenal! Off the happy hour menu, I got the wings and the black bean queso dip. Rockstar! I will be back asap! Noted i sat at the bar but when I came on a Wednesday at about 5pm, it wasn't busy and the staff was attentive, throughout the whole restaurant. I've heard Mondays get pretty crazy due to their 1/2 off all apps from 6-10

Very busy very nice atmosphere very clean very friendly everything was good until our server brought our check We ask her a simple question and totally captain attitude Ask to see her manager and she said what was wrong with my service her service was fine up into that point everyone needs to get on the same page one tells you 1 thing on the phone another 1 tells you another and when we left we actually had people telling us that they thought she was very rude her name was Margaret She actually had the nerve to come over to our table after we gave her the money for the bill and say there was no tip in there but the tip was on the tableDon't know if I will go back there again if I do I definitely would not have her as a server

One of the best happy hours in town! But they do not have Wi-Fi so I brought it down 2 Stars. And the bartender definitely needs to learn how to pour a Milwaukee beer full to the top. This beer looks so sad. They really need to do something about these flies on the outside patio and inside.

Showed up for dinner and was absolutely delighted. Ordered the grilled swordfish, which is served fresh not frozen, and was not disappointed. This was hands down the best plate of food set in front of me in years. The swordfish was perfectly grilled, complimented by a savory bed of perfectly acidic artichoke and sun dried tomatoes. Underneath, a stack of masterfully grilled haricot verts nested around a beautifully moist polenta cake. The pesto smooth and not overpowering, so it could be easily enjoyed with every bite. I will most certainly be dining here again soon.

Ordered on grubhub. It was good then I ordered a couple other times asking for extra rice and an extra sauce. They gave me hard rice smaller than normal portion and no sauce at all. Not even the sauce it came with. Idk what’sup w that. But it taste good when done right.

Was here last about 5-6 yrs ago maybe. Thought the food was great. First time being back since then. Food..not the best. Had the NY strip..definitely lacking. Service..not bad at all, but got to hear the bar staff complain about the customers. They do have some outdoor seating, so that's a plus. Guess I'll have to try on a better night?

Went to The Knick for happy hour, and it was definitely a happy time. The atmosphere was so calming, professional and delightful. The selection of appetizers were endless. Although, I ordered the fried Brussels sprouts, everyone I was there with got an array of delectable appetizers. The bean dip looked so scrumptious, and the burger bites were perfectly stacked. The wings were accompanied with bright orange carrots and earthy green celery. We must not forget the tangy dipping sauce. My Brussels sprouts were very tasty. The only issue is the parking. The Knick needs a parking lot for their customers alone. Overall, I had an awesome experience at this fine restaurant.

I've been here twice. Once for post-wedding drinks and the other for brunch. Both experiences were enjoyable. The drinks are tasty and their food portions are large. When we were there for brunch, our waiter was in training and incredibly friendly. We had great conversations with him and I hope he had fun in Chicago!

Burrata appetizer would be much better if the cheese itself wasn't served chilled. It's a mild cheese to start with, and chilled, it's pretty much tasteless. Grilled salmon on the salads was perfectly done and delicious, whereas the salad itself was lacking. The promised fresh dill was non-existent, and there were very few capers, two important flavor components with salmon. If the cheese used was real Parmesan, I'll eat my hat - it didn't even taste like bad Parmesan...not sure what it was. But in some ways it didn't matter as Parmesan cheese (or any cheese, really) just doesn't go with fish. Nor did the tomatoes. This salad COULD be great, but the combination of ingredients is just off. The salmon itself was truly the high point of the meal. Overall not impressed. We're visiting, but would not be regulars if we lived here.

It is very much a hotel restaurant bar which is not necessarily a bad thing! I have been there both for brunch and dinner, and both are very delicious. The staff has been very pleasant and very helpful. Their outside area is very nice in the summer time and it becomes tented in the winter.

A consistently good place to go for American dishes. The steak is always cooked correctly, the scallops are fantastic and the short ribs melt in your mouth. There is a good wine, beer and cocktail list with some pleasing combinations. The outdoor seating is covered and they also have heaters above for chillier days. When I have visitors to town or a birthday dinner to gift, The Knick is one of my top choices.

Recently went here on a Friday afternoon. The service was friendly but a bit distracted. I only got checked on 3 times throughout my dining experience. The food was alright but I did think it ironic that my burger came with both caramelized onions and fresh onions. (A lot of them) The atmosphere was loud, even for a Friday at 3 PM, and seemed a bit chaotic. I with there was more of a homey feel and treatment. This is a good spot for a quick bite with friends but not the spot to sit a talk for a while.

We decided to take advantage of the Monday 1/2-price deal on menu appetizers, and ordered one of (nearly) everything. It was like going to an expensive tapas place, but much more affordable. Biggest plus: delightfully fresh seafood! Scallops, tuna tartare, calamari, and shrimp were all phenomenal. Overall, the food was 99% on-point. I only must subtract one star, as the front of the house was clearly understaffed - not just for us, but for everybody - though, the waitstaff present were polite and really hustling, and a manager was running orders in order to help out. Another slight disappointment: the bar was out of the ingredients for two of the three N.A. cocktails on offer. The kitchen, for its part, must have been running full-tilt, but it got everything right. I loved the atmosphere - genial and unpretentious; intimate if you want it to be. It’s refreshing to dine at a hotel-attached restaurant which is updated just enough to be cool - not hyper-chic - and which turns out excellent.

Ok food and atmosphere. My family and I took my 100 year old grandma here for brunch, and though the stairs at the front of the restaurant were a bit of a challenge for her, things went smoothly once we were seated. I enjoyed my crab cake eggs Benedict with a Bloody Mary for brunch, but wasn’t blown away. Potatoes were a little too crispy — but some people like them that way, I suppose. Best part of the visit was our waitress, Katie!! She was delightful and, in spite of all the staffing shortages, took great care of our table. SO nice. Thanks, Katie!!

My wife and I have always had their food via Uber eats so this was the first time being there in person. Monday is half off appetizers so we were already pretty happy with that. Every app we ordered was delicious, especially the wings and sweet and spicy shrimp. We had the pleasure of being served by Connor and he did an absolutely amazing job. He made the experience very fun and welcoming. We really can't wait to come back after that!

The Kinck is always consistent and delicious. I have never had a bad meal or service. Nor have I ever had to wait for a table. The Kinck had been one of my favorite go-to restaurants for many years. Plus they have the BEST tater-tots in Milwaukee!

Quickly becoming one of my top HH spots. The 5/clock martini is my go to. They have wings on the HH menu. The wings have a hint of spice to them, like a baked buffalo sauce, yet they are awesome. The cod on Fri are a good size however, the favor is a bit blame, still worth the price.

Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, top shelf liquor but reasonably priced. Food is phenomenal and very fast. We drank all night, talking 6pm until 11:30pm with wings and some other appetizers and our bill for 3 was $110.! That was top shelf liquor mixed properly. Go to the Knick! Enjoy!

It's a really nice restaurant, I feel some of the art kinda clashes but I don't know much about art so my opinion on it isn't too be taken seriously. The food was good, my 1st time there I ordered the ravioli of the day and it was great! My 2nd time I got a bacon cheese burger and it was ok... the burger patty itself had no taste so you really needed everything it came with to make it better. Had the same server both times and idk if she had too many tables at once or if she didn't want to be there but we always felt rushed when she came to ask what we wanted which made it harder to really find what we were in the mood for. All in all its a nice spot with good food, a little pricey with decent portions but I can say some options are worth it.

I go here for happy hour with my boyfriend and a coworker. The service is typically great and the food is delicious at $5 (during happy hour). The drink menu is excellent and caters to a wide variety of palates. I've only ever had their regular menu to go but it's always excellent as well.

Went for brunch. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was okay. Had Eggs Benedict that came with potatoes on the side. Potatoes were bland and presentation was nothing special. I believe the Hollandaise sauce was the best one I have had at any restaurant (I'm very picky and still asked for lemon on the side). It was enjoyable and a solid brunch option. Glad I tried it.

One of my favorite places to eat in MKE. Amazing appetizers and a wide selection of entrees. If you like shrimp, you can't go wrong with the Sweet & Spicy Shrimp. The Ravioli of the day is usually very unique and outstanding.

One of the best happy hours in the city! Really great apps and drinks for $5.00. I've never stayed for dinner, but it's worth the stop for happy hour. The grilled chicken wings are one of my favorite (don't hurt me, but they're way better than points east). The fried chicken sliders are also a favorite of mine!

This place is incredible! The customer service is awesome! I don't know much about wine, but they suggested a wine, I went with it, and it was probably the best wine I've ever had. Also, I ordered fish, and that was some of the best fish I've ever had, and my husband ordered steak, which he said was amazing. The appetizer we ordered was fried squid, and that was the best squid I've ever tasted! The people here were very friendly and we definitely are glad we chose to go here!

Our server was wonderful. Polite, attentive, and great with suggestions. Place was busy, but the atmosphere was quiet. Didn't have to tell to be heard. Food was delicious. Great apps, soup was delicious and hot, dinner with great flavor. So full, but got dessert too. Carrot cake is a large portion and SO good. Would certainly go again.

Went here for brunch, the food tasted great and the drinks were good but the service was lacking. Perhaps it was because of covid and they were understaffed (didn't seem that way) but we got our food before our first drinks and once we finished our food it seemed like the waitress just ignored our table. CLASSY, FUN AND REASONABLE Went here for my wife's birthday after we could not get reservations at a number of other good restaurants becasue it was graduation weekend (my bad for not reserving sooner!). My son joined us and we ate on the patio. They offer high quality burgers to steaks and seafood, though the menu is limited, there is somethnig for every tase. My wife loved her drink, the "Lil Hammer," beer selection was ample. Appetizer of raw fish and cucumber on a fried crispy tortilla-type base was novel and tasty. Grilled chicken with vegetables, blue cheese burger with bacon and truffle burger were all delicious. We topped it off with bread pudding and carrot cake, also both were super. I would go back for the carrot cake alone!

What a beautiful hotel near Lake Michigan! We came here for a private party, and the attentive wait staff served us delicious appetizers while we socialized. Then there was a buffet-style dinner that was excellent, well prepared, hot and classy. The birthday cake was extraordinary — tasty and well-decorated. We had a lovely time at this place with many of our dear friends, and the hosts were completely satisfied and obviously pleased with the service and atmosphere in this well-appointed private room where we all gathered. It was a perfect experience for all.

A delightful place with fascinating artist decor. This is apparently the default post concert get together for Early Music Now series which is a fantastic music series (shameless plug). And the cafe is well chosen by this series for treating the guest artists to fine wine and dining (we were spoiled). The food was excellent and was sometimes too pretty culinary artistic wise to want to eat it. But we prevailed. Service was excellent and attentive. A little on the loud side, and I guess that is due to the ceiling and flooring so sometimes it was difficult to have conversations. As a previous reviewer indicated: the desserts are huge and I recommend sharing with someone. The Cheese cake was wonderful ,but we could not even finish it without having a hangover in the morning.

Got us in at 7 PM on a Saturday night without a reservation (2 of us). All the food was awesome. The service was great and the inside of the restaurant is very nice. We only had sandwiches and one appetizer, but it was all good. With 2 glasses of wine and tip, I think we were around $85. These are high end sandwiches, however. Great flavor and quality. First time ever coming here in 52 years in MKE. I should have come here sooner.

Went for celebratory drink and dinner with some colleagues. I had the vegan mushroom gnocchi. It was tasty but I probably would not order it again because it was a bit bland in regard to presentation. However, I did enjoy a Chestnut Old Fashioned, which was divine. I am still dreaming about that cocktail. I'd give the Knick four stars except the interesting vegetarian options were limited. If I wanted a salad, I'd have gone some place less pricy. My dinner companions (carnivores), however, raved about their food. So, if you are a carnivore, check it out!

Brunch is always 5 star. Crab Benny, seasonal French toast options, breakfast sandwich, tomato and mushroom omelette are always spot on. While Milwaukee is the town of the Bloody Mary don't be afraid to try their special drink. It always pleases. Lunch options are also amazing. This is the home of the best burger in town. The Knick serves up the best Tator Tots I have ever had in my life. They are Crisp on the outside, and taste like heavenly pillows on the inside. I have gone out of my way on several occasions for the tots alone. I usually get a Manhattan to wash it down, which is usually made pretty well. Service is always above average.
