I typically don't do this but... here's my review. The experience was outstanding! The food was not only tasty, but very clean and very well thought out and executed. Very comfortable, unpretentious space. Very simple, earthy and tasty. Environmentally respectful down to the napkins. Lastly, the staff was not only friendly and attentive, but it was clear that they lived the mission statement. Well done!!!

Attentive service staff and a menu with a mouthwatering selection of entrees and appetizers, plus an extensive drink menu, makes this a great choice for lunch or dinner. Prices are reasonable and the portions are very generous. Make sure to enjoy a slice of their homemade pie, topped with ice cream!

Amazing food, chips and slaw or "a little bit of both" they have an amazing combo. All of their food is delicious, I've tried almost everything on the menu, drinks are crafted to perfection. Attentive staff with a personable touch, was not standing to be seated for very long and never went without my drink being empty. The only thing is that parking is a pain when this place is packed, all of Bayview is your parking lot.

Amazing!! I'm from out of town and have followed Lulu on Insta, it was so worth stopping in. Parking was close, there is a very smooth transition for car-side pickup and that doesn't even start to describe the food. The impossible burger is beyond delicious and giant. (I couldn't finish it) Servings were much more generous than I expected, and the good is as beautiful as it is filling, nutritious, and tasty. 120 miles, and 100% worth it!

This is a fantastic little spot in Bayview. Parking can be challenging, and you may have to walk a little bit but it is absolutely worth it. It's a very cozy place, and though it may seem quite loud it is actually relatively easy to hold the conversation between two people. The seating is varied between high tops and standard tables. And everything is cleaned very promptly and well. The service is extremely friendly, fast, and helpful. The menu is varied, and you shouldn't have any problems finding something that sounds interesting or that you know you like. The only complaint that I had was that day I wanted French fries, but they only have chips or Asian salad. Both of which are delightful. Food wise the flavors are amazing. Great combinations, good mouth feel, very good experience overall. I highly recommend stopping if you're looking for a nice little spot to have a meal in Bayview.

This place was a last minute choice. My family was in town from MI. Our waitress made a wonderful experience into awesomeness!!! She was filled with knowledge about the food and the restaurant. The food was filled with great taste. The drink selection was out of this world.

Big portions and the chips and blue cheese dip are really good. To be honest I did not like the tuna sandwich I got at all, but that is probably not their fault. Not knowing what I was doing, I ordered it medium rare and the results haunted me. I’d come back for something else though lol.

Very good service and food! A little pricey, though..... This was our 1st time there, nice atmosphere.... industrial-like decor, but not a cold feel....cozy, inviting. We sat at the small table in front of the window....good spot! I'm just disappointed that I forgot to order the homemade chicken with rice soup, along with my sandwich and slaw. 😔 The sweet white wine was good, but wish they'd give you a full glass instead of half 🤔 And the Chai tea was great!

This place was good! My friend raved about it and says it’s one of her favorite spots! Got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and while it was good, needed a little more seasoning. Chips needed more salt. Overall, great experience. Just wanted a little more flavor.

Oh my goodness Lulu's is absolutely amazing. The serving sizes are very large. Their homemade chips and blue cheese dressing is outstanding. Their Asian salad that comes as a side is very very tasty. I had the Santa Fe BLT and it was out-of-this-world. We highly recommen this place. The atmosphere is very fun

My first time here but i will be back. My shrimp po boy was so good. Just a few shrimp but they were large, well cooked and juicy. The Asian slaw was also very good. The portions are large do no one will be hungry.

Such an amazing experience. Stopped in for lunch couldn't have been more pleased with the prompt service, amazing food and atmosphere. This is a place if you haven't been to, you must. I couldn't believe the Big Kahuna Tuna sandwich could have been any better. Their thick chips with blue cheese sauce is a must as well as their slaw...oh, the slaw! The mayo wasabi put the Kahuna on another level. When in the area again, I'll be back! Way to go Lulu's!!! Can't wait to try more of your menu! Keep up the great work. 5 stars!

COVID precautions: staff sort of wears masks, mostly as chin warmers That being said, service was friendly and fast, drinks were refilled without having to ask, the food was delish all around. The bathroom was clean.

LuLu does not skimp on the sides! Definitely go for the half and half chips with blue sauce & Asian slaw. Both are just addicting, even as someone who is not usually a fan of chips. Good falafel sandwich with a nice amount of tabbouleh and a nice light pita. I personally liked the smaller size of the pita since you get so much out of the sides. Recommend! Edit: I got take out during COVID, I felt that they were handling orders very well and I appreciated that orders do not automatically come with disposable utensils.

My husband and I stopped in and it was our first time there! Great music, great atmosphere and a FANTASTIC waitress by the name of Anna served us! Anna is the true depiction of a waitress! Friendly and thorough, attentive and so upbeat! Many people in the service industry could take lessons from her! The bar had made a mistake in making a drink for a customer and she brought it over to us and asked me if I would like to have it! I ordered the peach mango sangria and this was a house blend sangria! It was amazing! Service with a smile! How thoughtful of her to think of me! We will be back and hope to have Anna as our waitress!

It is seldom that every person at your table has an amazing experience at a restaurant. Well this happened at LuLus. The four of us all had different meals and all loved our food. Even the chips and dip we had on the side were extraordinary. It was rather busy so our wait staff took longer than usually but this did not bother me. We still felt cared for and had a wonderful meal. Just a little bonus in my book: they don’t use straws to reduce waste.

I have been a patron for many years and have always loved lulu's. The atmosphere, the craft beer, the pie, the soups, really the whole menu. I just went again tonight, took myself out for a little me time. Lately I've been on the hunt for a really good bloody mary and I've found the best here so far (sorry sobelmans). I also had the faux banh mi and the Asian slaw and lulu chips with their in-house blue dressing. (I order this meal a lot). I can't say enough about what a Milwaukee treasure this restaurant is. 💖💖💖

I miss Juniper 61, but the aisian coleslaw, a staple at both restaurants, remains an attraction and feature at Lu Lu's, which makes it worth the trip.

The food was very good. I got the Singapore Burger which was awesome. The relish was a mix of cucumbers and tomatoes so it left the burger feeling a bit dry. The housemade chips were amazing. The kids meals were perfect and were served with a side of fruit.

I forgot how good that aisan slaw was. Staff great and helpful with that large menu. Sandwich was great. Why do I always forget to say no dripping tomatoes on my sandwich please. Moroccan chicken sandwich was yummy. Oh and I have slaw for tomorrow. Nice size portions.

The atmosphere at LuLu Cafe is the best reason to go here (I'll get to the awesome food later). You'll find all ages at LuLu. Seriously, it was one of the most diverse age ranges I've ever seen at a trendy looking cafe spot. Although I didn't have any of the drinks, they looked great and the happy hour special was enticing. We'll have to return for that. As for the food, the grilled sandwiches were excellent. Even the flatbreads were unique in nature. 100% recommend.

First off, the service is wonderful. Our server Jesse was the best server we've had in Bayview, extremely nice and attentive. As for the food, the homemade chips are fresh, the Asian slaw is delicious, and the menu is diverse. Our brownie sundae was amazing! Great place!

Outstanding. We recently rediscovered this place after rude treatment at Palomino and it was just a delight. The asian slaw was excellent. Most notably it's probably the best burger I've ever had in Milwaukee or anywhere. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Wow! I just had the best experience and best server. Maryna was very attentive, made wonderful menu recommendations, ensured all our dietary requirements were met. I had an accidental spill and she came so quickly with a towel and didn't make me feel ashamed. She recommended the East Indian Chicken Pita and it was stellar. 10/10 definitely will be back!!

I would definitely not recommend the Mexi-Cal burger. Not sure who thought it was a good idea to put whole black beans on top of a burger?! I can tell you it's not a good idea they just fall out everywhere and make a mess the burger was cold. The mixed greens are good, The blue cheese dressing was very good. Also I definitely recommend the falafel. The hot toddy was very good. Not sure if I would come back but most of the food was good.

Good brunch spot, brioche French toast was good, bacon was cooked perfectly between crispy but not crunchy. It was still a little chewy, I love my bacon that way. But I didn't like the potatoes though. They were like doubled fried or fried for too long or something, they were like, weirdly chewy. Idk, but I'd recommend this place.

Great food at a reasonable price. We called in our order and everything was ready exactly when we asked for it. They were very careful about checking orders and about keeping everything clean. The roasted vegetable salad is amazing, and was exactly what I needed after a weekend of eating less than healthy meals while traveling for work. My husband's burger was huge, as was the half side of Asian slaw. We decided to go with the blue cheese dressing for the child since everybody says it's amazing, and it did not disappoint. This was our second time eating here, and everything we ordered both times was very flavorful. I wish we lived here so we could come more often!

I ordered online, so convenient! They had like every substitute you could ask for when ordering and the food was amazing. My roommate got the Indian pita and I got a smokehouse burger. It has such an amazing seasoning with smokey flavors. My favorite burger!

Soup was too under seasoned so I added some salt and it was alright. The bread that goes with it was great. Banh mi was awesome, I think I found my new go to. Never was a fan of the chips though. I got them because I already get a slaw with the sandwich so, I didn't get their Asian slaw as a side. All in all its a good place to go.

Great atmosphere. Great selection of beers and drink specials. The food is delicious. Go for the slaw/chip combo as your sides and don't forget the blue cheese sauce! I'm a fan of their burgers, but there is a lot of variety in a modest sized menu. And their soups and specials are always great. Lots of vegetarian options. Can get busy during peak hours. But worth waiting for a table. Sit at their beautiful bar, have a drink while you wait!

After dozens of meals here, I can honestly say I've never once been disappointed. The Moroccan chicken sandwich is possibly my favorite chicken sandwich in the city, and you can't beat the Lulu chips and the noodley-cabbage-peanut slaw. It's also a pretty efficient place with fast, competent service. Lulu is a reliable place for cozy dinners with friends and for casual meals with out-of-town guests.

I’ve been here several times and it’s always a great choice. The only problem to me is that there is an inconsistency in the food quality. Sometimes it seems like the food may sit a while before being taken to the table. Otherwise, they do a great job in describing their plates and their beers. It’s fun to sit on the patio in the summer because that is such a busy intersection. It’s a hipster kind of a place and I recommend trying it.

I've had one great lunch here, and one dinner that never happened. First visit was lunch on the south side of the restaurant, sitting at the counter. The hummus platter was delicious and our sandwiches tasted great. My second visit here was at a table on the north side of the restaurant. We got menus and waters, then some friends of our waitress came in and she never came back to our table. After 30 minutes drinking our ice water and waiting, we left.

Great place, great atmosphere! I've taken my family here for lunch and gone on dates here in the evenings. The Moony Tuna is my favorite! But if your a fan of chips get the Loaded Lulu. Their homemade blue cheese is the best I've ever had. Caring staff, creative decor, and wonderful food. They feature a different artist's work on their walls each month and it is always a lively environment.

Great place for food and drinks. They have a diverse menu of food to satisfy all pallets. They will make majority of sandwiches, burgers etc gluten free which is a must have for my wife. Friendly staff makes it even better. Highly recommend if you don't mind a little noise.

Stopped in on a whim with a buddy. As my dish was being brought out (Big Kahuna Tuna sandwich, seared) I was instantly satisfied with my decision. It was as delicious as it looked. Definitely get the slaw and potato chips! Our waiting staff was very friendly and the beer selection was good.

Try their Mooney Tuna. Just do it. I also hear their Mediterranean sandwich is awesome, but I don’t eat cow so I can’t tell you for certain. But, let me tell you what I do know —- 1/2 and 1/2. Choose 1/2 Asian slaw and 1/2 homemade chips with blue cheese sauce for your side. You are worth it.

I've never had a bad experience at this fantastic restaurant. The staff is super friendly and attentive, the food is fresh and appealing, and the best blue cheese infused Cole slaw in town! They also make their own chips. Prices very reasonable.

Where's the meat? I have been coming here for years and most everything on the menu is good. I order one of their specials, the lulu hero sandwich. Very little meat and a lot of bread. My server/bartender Chad was very professional and quick. Yes the homemade chips and asian slaw are always good, but would suggest staying away from any of the sandwiches that have flank steak in them unless you really like bread. On a more positive note their salads are large and very tasty.

I always get the chipotle chicken pita w/ chips and it's one of my favorites. I have not tried many other things on the menu and have been here several times. From what my friends tell me (when they try other things on the menu) is that it's a hit or miss. That I can believe because I ordered their pie dessert once and it was not good. You could tell that the filling came from a can and it was a thick overly-sugared glob. I think that's what stopped me from trying new things on their menu. It would also be great if the pita breads could be bigger. The current bread is overloaded with toppings and the juices break apart the pita. You are left with a huge mess. As far as the customer service, it could be better. I have ran into a few waiters that were not attentive to re-filling water on a hot summer day or not seeing them for 30 min when you want to pay the check. Overall, I would say the restaurant is average.

Modern take on fresh food. Nice to go to restaurant that the food is made fresh enough that they can and will alter the recipe to please the customer. Had a salad, didn't want the cucumbers & they did. And the greens were fresh. Had it with sushi quality tuna which they cooked to order. Free but limited parking along the south side of the building.

Consistent, delicious, and affordable. One of the best burgers in town, too. If you're not feeling that, the Mediterranean Steak Pita is fantastic. Just remember to get a "little bit of both" for as a side. Blue Cheese dipping sauce should also be a big "Yes".

One of the things I love about this place is that they have a really diverse menu. I feel like most people would be able to find something to eat here. Their sandwiches are amazing, and their Asian slaw is pretty much the only preparation of cabbage that I actually like.

I've been to Cafe Lulu a number of times for brunch and once for dinner. I've always had perfectly decent experiences but can't say there's any real wow factor. Their menu does have a rather expansive set of options and is all really well priced. The space itself is a bit eclectic, usually with large artworks on the walls. The high ceilings do make the space feel a little less cozy though. I haven't ever had to wait for a table, but it does seem to get pretty busy later in the mornings for brunch. If you're looking for a fair-priced, casual night out, this is certainly a great choice.

I always enjoy this place immensely. It's comfortable, casual, and has an innovative menu. I usually order the Tuscan salad. The sun dried tomatoes , toasted pine nuts and balsamic vinaigrette are delicious with the goat cheese. Also, don't miss the Bleu Lulu, a double order of home made, thick cut potato chips with bleu cheese dip. Worth the trip just for that!

I like this place quite a bit. Always enjoy what I order and the staff is always great about checking in just the right amount. About the only difficult thing is finding a place to park, being able to parallel park on a nearby street is required any time it might be even slightly busy (Can't blame LuLu, KK just is like that around there). Best thing is the blue cheese dip with the potato chips, well worth it.

Lulu's brunch is fantastic and they have very friendly and attentive wait staff! I can't recommend them enough for brunch in Bayview - I've been happy with every item I've tried, and always look forward the specials. Just a heads-up: I find their lunch/dinner items to be on the salty side, but regardless it is always a pleasant experience to eat here.

Cafe Lulu is a great place for food and drinks. It is very affordable, and the food is always good. I almost always get a pita because they are so yummy. The mediterranean steak pita is my favorite. I can never decide on a side, so I usually get half of the chips and half the Asian slaw. The bleu cheese dip is really good, so I always get that too. They also have a great selection of beer, and I can always find a beer I like from their menu. They have outdoor seating for the warmer months. Cafe Lulu is a must try!

Recommend going half and half chips and slaw with blue cheese dip as sides. It is pretty mild. I know people that dislike blue cheese but still enjoy it. So don't let it scare you and the slaw is very very good

LuLu is a great spot and it's one of my "default places". Meaning, it's one of the places i tend to fall back on when i can't pick something else. Their burgers are some of the best in Milwaukee and they have Schlitz on tap! I would caution against going with a large group, since we've had a couple of mixed experiences in that setting. Overall, an awesome place worth grabbing a burger. Make sure you get the Blue Cheese Sauce!

Every time my college friends get together we have lunch at this restaurant because it is our favorite with the Breads and Spreads! During our last visit, we had the most AMAZING waiter named JOEL who I will never forget! Went here for bunch on a Sunday morning around 11:30 am on a whim. It wasn't too packed when we got there, but by the time we left it was pretty crowded. Parking was kind of a pain, but then again, that whole area is. They do reservations, so if you have some lead-time, might want to make some just in case! Service was pretty good, though, I couldn't help but feel they were understaffed the day we came. Everything seemed rushed and you could feel a little tension with the staff, but they were super pleasant to us and everyone around us. Despite that, the servers were organized and very helpful. I got one of the scramblers which came with a few pieces of fruit and bread, which was quite good. I will probably go here again for brunch or lunch/dinner as I hear the burgers are good.

Lulu is a Milwaukee staple, delicious food, always exciting specials or if you are just looking to get a cocktail their bar is fully stocked and the bartenders are more than happy to whip up your favorite. The half-pound heart attack burger is to die for, they will ask if you want chips, asian-slaw or a little bit of both for your side. If you get the chips you must get the blue cheese dipping sauce, it may sound weird at first but you will not regret it! Brownie a-la-mode is a great dessert! cheers!

I love everything about this place, except the service, and even that isn't bad. First of all, start with the (ala mode, with the homemade vanilla bean ice cream). Then check out the daily specials. The sandwiches and salads on the menu are also great. Make sure to get the asian slaw, or better yet, ask for 1/2 asian slaw and 1/2 homemade chips. Enjoy the great coffee, tea, beers or anything else off the beverage menu.

The service was really good (a pet peeve of mine is when servers touch the glasses by the top of the glass rather than the bottom, but the server passed my test).
