Where do I even start? The waiter was amazing!!! They did such a great job making us feel comfortable and making sure what we had was the beat. The food was hot and fresh. The mimosas were tasteful too!! Very clean! I'll definitely be back!

Emily was just the sweetest and best ever. Our first time here and we absolutely enjoyed it this Saturday morning. Food came out quick with GF options, and Emily definitely made our Saturday more enjoyable than ever. They do prefer reservations but we came in as a walk in, and was seated right away. Thanks to Emily we plan on being regulars!!!

Love the Tapas vibe!!! The food is high quality and the ingredients are all from local vendors, so you know the money you spend is kept locally. My favorite dish had plantains (pictured). The coffee was also better than any coffee shop I’ve been to before. There are dishes from all over the world at Engine Company No. 3, and all for but decent prices. The historical and cultural aspects of this restaurant are also great. The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because our waiter wasn’t very attentive. We asked for a few things that never came, and a couple of items we ordered were switched up. Finally, when we asked for our check, we got charged $20 extra dollars, and I had to wait a week for it to be processed correctly. Minor flaws for an overall exceptional restaurant, but still things to note.

Day after Christmas, this place was finally open, meaning not packed and crammed with customers like we always see when we're on our way to eat at The National Cafe, which was closed today unfortunately. So we finally got to try it out. Cute interior and friendly, overly-solicitous waitstaff (maybe because they're so used to being packed the excess staff had nothing to do except come over to our table every 4 minutes and ask how we were doing. But that's not really a complaint since at most restaurants you have to wave staff down to get a glass of water. But we were trying to have an in-depth conversation so it was slightly annoying to have to say 'everything's fine' every four minutes and then try to jump back into the deep point you were trying to make). I'm glad they had signs saying masks were required, but they didn't enforce it as the couple who came in behind us wore no masks and no one said a thing. Everyone else in the place was masked - thank you! Many vegetarian options on one side of the menu, and some could be made vegan, meat-filled options on the other side of the menu. Our waitress asked if it was our first time there and when we said yes, she then explained that the menu is tapas-style and we should order more than one dish and share with each other. That explained why the sauteed spinach, which is usually a side dish was a solo menu item and priced so high. Brunch for two people with tea, coffee, four dishes and tip was $50. The food was ok, but not worth coming back for, for what you get. I'm glad we finally got to experience it so now we know to stick with The National a few blocks away. If someone had given us this recommendation beforehand, we wouldn't have tried it. Three star rating because they had vegan items (although their garlic aioli has egg in it), food wasn't bad, they had 'masks required' signs, and friendly waitstaff. It would have gotten more stars if they'd enforced mask-wearing and prices weren't so high.

Our brunch was incredible! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Engine Co #3. The food was terrific. We tried a lot of dishes: French toast, risotto, omelette and truffle potato skin chips. Everything was wonderful.
The drink I had was a chai maintenance and it was awesome!
Our server Brett was great - attentive, helpful hen we asked questions about what to order, and really friendly.
I can’t wait to come back.

First time + we will be back! Went on a Saturday morning around 9:30 no reservation and seated immediately. Started with a salted caramel latte which was yummy! We ordered the smoked pork Benedict, Coudighi, Tres leche French toast (favorite! So amazing) and Nutella crepes which I believe were a special. Our server Dominique was very friendly, attentive and helpful!
Bobbi jo Kurtz
Brunch was here was amazing, thank you to our server Brett who was friendly and informative. The vibe on the patio was very South American style and reminded us a lot of our travels. We were sat immediately although I would make a reservation next time as it got busy after we sat down.
Angel Williams
OMG!!!! This is like fine dining without the $$$$ at the end! The lightest, fluffiest eggs I have ever eaten are here! I had butternut squash quiche and the levels of flavor were amazing! Fresh food with a flare. An absolute must for breakfast!
Joel Swieciak
The food here is delicious, says they're small plates, but one dish was enough for a full entrée. The staff was very friendly and informative as well, would definitely recommend.

What an incredible experience! The historic firehouse is the perfect setting for the authentic, locally-sourced ingredients that go into the hearty (and tasty) breakfast items. We tried French toast, the veggie omelette, and the breakfast risotto — and each was delightful. The risotto gets the award for most original and savory dish. Highly recommend!
Lucas Brandt
Really good food. There were a lot of things on the menu I wanted to try, but I got the Patacon Con Huevo y Chorizo. It was great! The cilantro rice was especially good.
Mary Bailey
Amazing food, great value. Our server was on it. I want to go back so I can try everything on the menu. Just go.
Nicole
I’ve enjoyed brunch here at least 3 times and it’s been great every time. The staff are extremely friendly, the food is fresh and very tasty. I’ve ordered a Bloody Mary and Eggs Benedict each time and shared other dishes with friends. Each dish is prepared with love and great care. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. I highly recommend this restaurant to others frequently and I will keep going back.
Danielle Moody
The food here was absolutely fantastic! Carmen was my server and she was so kind and had such great suggestions! The food is served tapas style, but the portions are still a good size! The fresh orange juice is to die for and the mimosas are superb! The prices are great and very reasonable! 10/10 would recommend!
Rachel Engel
Went for topas style brunch. What a great location!! Everything is farm to table and service was impeccable!! I will add it to my lists of favorites for my next trip to Milwaukee!
Lyphenia Bryant
We ate outside. All of their food is farm to table, and you can sit next to the gardens where their grow their own raspberries and herbs.
It's tapas style, but the portions were pretty sizable still. I went with one other person; we ordered two dishes each. We were so full and we both had enough to take home as well. Will definitely be coming back.
Get the goat cheese curds!
Tedd Lookatch
Unique brunch offerings. From scratch featuring many local producers. Starts with a tapas styling with many Spanish inspired dishes but also crush it on favorites like sticky bun pancakes and a fresh twist on quiche.
Randi Meinecke
Bloody Mary was so good. Eggs were perfectly seasoned and cooked. French toast was amazing. Potatoes were just yummy. Definitely returning for another bloody Mary and meal. The service was great too.
Bill Thomas
Went to Engine Co. #3 for breakfast, the menu was great with many unique dishes inspired by Spain, Mexico and other countries including Columbia where the owner is from. I had pulled pork eggs Benedict which was delicious along with all the other entrees my family ordered. Service was good. Will definitely return on my next trip to Milwaukee, wish we had found this restaurant sooner.
Nicki Urbanio
Ordered the brunch poutine, tres leches French toast, cinnamon bun pancakes, goat cheese curds, Irish coffee and Mimosa. The entire brunch was delicious. Highly recommend this place. We sat outdoors indoors is beautiful old firehouse all walls display historic photos and photos of farmers. Love this place

I went to Engine Company No. 3 this past Saturday. It was very enjoyable. Our waitress, Dominic, was so delightful and pleasant. Their menu was a lil’ different than what I’m use to, but needless to say it was great. I had to take my time to put a meal together that my stomach will recognize. I think I did pretty darn good. I ordered French toast, sausage links and scrambled eggs. I loved that the menu displays the local farmers the restaurant supports. The food was soooo delicious and tasted so fresh. The eggs were so good and seasoned to perfection. The food felt and looked so clean. I love the decor of the restaurant and its spaciousness. Although the restaurant was not crowded, I can definitely see why it normally is. Keep up the good work Engine Company No. 3.
Sarah Wonder
Great farm fresh brunch! Tapas style but we ended up just order a dish we individually each wanted to eat!
Great mimosa with grapefruit and some other liquors!
We love it that they take brunch RSVPs because a lot do not!
Anthony Henderson
Very good food, all appetizers sizes meant to be shared amongst the group so everyone gets to try everything! I highly recommend the truffle potato skins, they are amazing. If you're not a truffle fan though, the red potatoes are on par with them as well.
Erin Prange
Great brunch spot. Parking is street only and it might take a bit to find, plan for a five minute walk. The interior is huge and decorated like a chic fire station. They are COVID sensitive which is great, but don't plan to sit a group more than two at the bar because they have dividers.
I assume they are struggling with staff since our server and the runners seemed new to the service industry. The server was friendly and made great recommendations but didn't clear plates or check on us very frequently. The runner kept coming to the same corner of the table and waited for us to shift plates around before setting anything down. It was very awkward since he could have set they plate down anywhere else.
We ordered the mimosa combo to start but switched to Prosecco after the first round since we had plenty of orange juice left. I liked how this was served, very convenient for groups that like their Prosecco/OJ different ratios. We ordered the quiche florentine which was a standout. This dish was phenomenal. It comes in a single baking dish, the crust is flaky, eggs so fluffy, flavorful, seriously perfection. The goat cheese curds were not how we suspected, which is on us for not reading the menu. They are not "Wisconsin Cheese Curds," should have known. They are not breaded or deep fried, rather they are served warm in a cream sauce with crostini. Excellent dish! The Huevos Divociados had some of the best shredded beef I've ever tasted. The truffled potato skins were crispy but VERY strong in truffle. I loved them but only a few at a time. Finally, we ordered the Tres Leches French Toast. It was not too sweet but still sweet enough to be our finisher.
We had a great time; the bar, food, menu, and atmosphere were top notch. Service was polite and efficient. Our food came out so quickly. After three Prosecco's and five dishes, the four of us only owed $37 each. I am excited to bring my husband! He loves a cheap date :)
Jane Edgar
Wow! What a hidden treasure! The menu is small but eclectic. They recommend tapas style to share dishes. We both loved our meals. Servers are truly lovely
Randy Nelson
Great service... food average
Brooke did a wonderful job as our server. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Atmosphere was very cool and interesting however I thought the food was a little overpriced.
As you see in the photos they tried real hard to make the menu interesting but it just isn’t that delicious for the price. I would rather you stick to an America theme and do it well then to try so many things and just achieve so so!
Ashley Beckord
Delicious brunch at a great price.
Party of four, dine in, Sunday (pre-packer game).
Ordered goat cheese curds, patatas bravas, and multiple smoked pork egg benedicts
Everything was delicious, and we all wanted to lick the plates clean, but held back. Next time I'm in town I would definitely come back to try more!
Patrick Chaves
This place is SO delicious and they give you a generous amount of food for the price as well. The building is very cool with it's historic firehouse ties and plenty of seating available. I've been for both breakfast and lunch, minor wait times. Brunch times was DEAD during the weekend , so it's a great time to go and have some peace and quite. Lovely service from the staff there. Only downfall is that it's street parking, but there's plenty of spots to park with majority of surrounding buildings being night life businesses. My favorite dish will have to be the patacon con huevo y carne. All the dishes are filled with flavor and to see the international variety is cool and the fact that they get their ingredients locally is awesome as well.
Mike Cook
Awesome breakfast and great coffees! We went with a party of 4 and there wasn't a bad dish or drink to be found!
The pork benedict was killer! The bratwurst sandwich was also super good! Highly recommend checking this one out!
Alyssa Wilke
Atmosphere, service, and more importantly, the food, was outstanding! My family split the Mimosa Round for the Table, which allowed us to make our own mimosas as weak or strong as we like. I ordered the smoked pork benedict which was 10/10. My mom had the roasted vegetable crepe which shocked me as to how delicious it was. And my sister ordered the patacon con huevo which was also bomb.com. The flavors in all our meals were so great and I love the farm to table concept. Can’t go wrong with quality ingredients. Will definitely be back!
Andy Fallon (LT Fallon)
We went to Engine Company 3 today. When we went to the host stand they told us seating inside was full. Walking up I had seen a nice outside seating area and asked if we could sit outside as I had seen some open tables. She stated she would check and find us a table and she did. The patio area is nice and fenced in with tables that have umbrellas, lots of flowers, and a small bar area with seating. While drinking our coffee, waiting for our server, I saw someone eating an item that I had not seen on the menu. When our waitress came back I asked what they where eating and she said monkey bread. She told us it’s not on the menu and she had not brought it up when she went over the specials. I asked if we could have an order of it and man was it delicious and came out smoking hot. I definitely recommend it. I Ordered URTAIN (Basque) 3 eggs, sirloin, chorizo and fries. Everything came out nice and hot. I was a little surprised by the size of the steak. I would say it was a 2oz steak, the chorizo was amazing and had good spice to it. The fries where also great tasting I would compare them to the fries at the North Avenue Grill. Shayla ordered the Quiche Lorraine (France). It’s a bacon quiche with gruyere cheese. The meal comes with a spring mix salad for the side. The quiche itself is delicious and remained hot the whole time we were eating. It’s served in a bowl that seemed to keep it warm. Would definitely order it again. Now to the service: we anticipated better service than what we got. Our server was friendly and checked in but never stuck around by the table. She usually walked away as we were asking a question and would have to come back, or she wouldn’t even hear us. So that was unfortunate. Overall the food was spot on and we are going to go again. The ingredients, for the most part seemed to be from local businesses which is pretty cool to see. We give the restaurant 4 out of 5 stars. Parking is on the street. $$

What a fantastic place for breakfast, brunch or lunch (they close at 2pm every day and closed all day on Mondays). This old fire station has the charm and tasteful decorations that makes it truly unique. Our group of four made reservations and the main floor was full of customers by the time we were eating. We did not venture up stairs but next time I think I will take a peek even though I did not see a fireman's pole anywhere. The staff was extremely pleasant and friendly. We ordered blueberry pancakes as an appetizer and they were delicious as was the Shepard's Pie. Street parking was plentiful when we arrived for our 11:30 am reservation. We will definitely visit again.
Angel F.
We came here for brunch and it was absolutely amazing! The Eggs Benedict was so very delicious!!! Fun location as well.
Diamond Cole
Love that this place used to be an old Fire House! Very interesting dishes, everything local! I was reluctant at first because when I first walked in I looked over someone's shoulder to see what they were eating and the bacon was sooo burnt! I was thought to myself "RUN". However we stayed and ordered the French toast and it was spot on, the chicken sausage is so flavorful. And how could you ruin baby reds?
M Gbertsis
We came for brunch and it was fantastic! I enjoyed my dish that had chorizo sausage, rice and beans, plantain and Spanish style eggs. It was very hearty, great flavor and very filling! My husband ordered their spaghetti squash carbonara and it was delish! The soft egg really made the dish with the added creaminess. Would most definitely come back.
REALx08
Came here one morning, we didn't have to wait since we made a reservation. The places looked cool. I mean it's a firehouse. The breakfast was so good. We both had pancakes, mine was plain and she had the blueberry. I loved the syrup they used, I believe they charge extra for more syrup. Everything I remember was separate so no big breakfast meal combo whatever. Still was very good, will go back when I visit Milwaukee again.
Samantha Shivers
Such a fun idea, and the food was great! I can't remember our waitresses name but she looked like Zoey Saldana and she was so friendly!
Tim L
server so kindly. food is nice, volumey. sure I would like to come back again. wanna try meat omelet next.
Adam Nasif
Visited with my 2 boys from Chicago, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff incredible breakfast aroma. The food was amazingly delicious, the atmosphere was inviting and decor is fun and looks like a fire house. Thank you for an great experience.
Jose Guerrero
The place is lovely. Just great decoration and cleaness. It has WiFi and nice tables. the food is great and has good portions. If you want to eat breakfast close to downtown this is the place. The coffee is also excellent so drink one.
I got an excellent treatment by the staff and owner. The place is managed smoothly, hope it keeps doing great for long.
Denise Tracy
Love this place. Just wish there would be a small children's menu. Food was outstanding as usual.
Joe Sturm
Overall, I liked it here, and the food was excellent, but the service was pretty slow. The staff was very nice, but our waitress didn't often come to check on us. With that being said, the food did have good value as well.
Linda B
Finally made it. The dishes are unique , from all over the world. Potatoes are smoked and then flash friend, with amazing sea salt flavor. We tried 3 different dishes, Chicken sausage, maple syrup burbon, chia, Mac and cheese made with asiago and parm.
Atmosphere gets you that historical feel, with photos and energy from the staff.
Being on a fire department, I definitely recommend.
Nicole Cournoyer
The food and drinks were fantastic but our server Emily took the cake! Excellent customer service on every level - she even ran outside to catch me with my box of leftovers after I forgot it on the table.
Lisa Ziller
Amazing and delicious breakfast! The setting is a fire station quasi museum of great antique pieces. Relaxing, great friendly staff, and delicious food adds for a fabulous experience!
Aaron Eicher
If you see a poor review about this place, I would take it with a grain of salt. Parking may be tough, but this place is gorgeous inside.
The menu can be a bit overwhelming because it has some foods on there that most of us are unfamiliar with. I started off with coffee and a bloody Mary. The bloody was chock full of flavor and was garnished with these pickles that I would gladly eat a gallon of.
My main dish was the patacon with chorizo and huevos. This was some stupid good cilantro rice on top of a smashed fried plantain, with a side of salsa. The eggs and chorizo were served off to the side. This dish was fantastic. The chorizo was nice and spicy, the plantain was sweet, and the acidity of the salsa tied very well with the fattiness of the eggs.
It was so good, in fact, that I had to get seconds. My second dish was a side order of the pancake and French toast.
Honestly, I've had better pancakes. They're really good, don't get me wrong, but they're no mom and pop butter heavy hot cakes.
Don't sleep on the company French toast though. I could have eaten a loaf of this stuff. They're brioche French toast, so they retain a lot of the milk/egg mixture, but these had a crust to them that made it taste like they were cooked over a fire. They were outstanding.
Three cheers to old engine 3, I look forward to eating here again.
victor cihler
Loved the family style brunch. Farm fresh to table ingredients. Got to try so many different plates. Everyone was amazing. Will be back soon!
Drew Brazie
Great brunch and great service. Loved the twists on brunch. Definitely a must!
Jackie Edwards
Sunday brunch with a group of 10. The server was excellent. Tapas style brunch but enough food to be satisfied. Ordered the prosecco bucket for mimosas and a bloody Mary. One of the few brunch spots in Milwaukee that takes reservations.
Albert Thompson
Great weekend spot for breakfast. Me and my wife stopped in while waiting on a friend to get off work Saturday morning. She had biscuits and gravy. I had a virgin bloody. Laid back atmosphere couple's and small groups of friends. Upper level is roomy.
Steven Swale
Simply the best, better than all the rest, better than anyone, anyone I ever met. And I'm stuck on your heart. I hang on every word you say. Tear us apart. I would rather be dead.
Alex Francis
Contemporary brunch spot. All the food is fresh and healthy! Busy on weekends because it's so good. Nice place during the week.
Sean Baskin
I never take photos of food but this was so amazing I broke a rule here. HIGHLY HIGHLY SUGGESTION FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GREAT MEAL!! I never type in all caps either. Breaking all the rules for this place :).
michael Meier
Very cool atmosphere being in an old fire station! It was busy when we arrived and we hadn't made reservations so we sat at the bar and the bartender was very knowledgeable on all the menu items and the farms the ingredients came from. My americano was great as was my fiance's hot chocolate! Eggs were made perfectly and the bacon was really good! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good brunch!
Amy Sorce
Engine Company No. 3 is a former fire station turned into a restaurant. I liked the decor and enjoyed seeing all of the photographs of the station in the old days. It was interesting to see the history of the place and that gave it kind of a nostalgic feel. I also like that they are a straw free organization and all of their food comes from local farmers. I ordered the French toast bake and chamomile tea, while my husband ordered the choco coco pancakes with a side of potatoes. The food was quite good and our waitress was nice. Overall, we had a positive experience.
Jason Smith
Tasty walkers point brunch spot. Can have a long line however full bar upstairs with board games to occupy yourself with until table is ready.
Ashley Cook
Got us in close to closing and when the rest of downtown was jam packed. Our server was outstanding. I can't believe the amount of stairs this staff does all day...
The food was good, pork belly and mashed, French toast and Spanish potatoes dish. Try the side of smoked potatoes, absolutely delicious. We placed a second order. Props to the great staff here at engine company no. 3!!
Julie Haschel
Great place for brunch. I love sharing food and this place has fabulous food to share.
Ryan Menozzi
Amazing food and amazing staff. I am also planning my wedding here and so far it looks like it will be amazing. If you plan to have a wedding look here. Kristen has been very helpful in figuring out the best plans to work with what types of food, and drink menu, and that I can get valet and my cake made there. I don't think any guest could complain about the fresh food they will be getting, and the venue is unique and changes up the normal wedding routine.
Sorry photo is upside down.
brent skaw
So many breakfast menu items we wanted to try. Great service and environment. Highly recommend this as a brunch spot while hitting up MKE
Abigail Klabunde
The food was delicious. You can taste how fresh the ingredients are and the special care the kitchen takes in putting different flavor profiles together. The restaurant is in a converted firehouse, which makes for a very cool and cozy atmosphere. We were served by Emily and she was so great. She was very attentive and described the dishes so well we ended up picking a few we normally wouldn’t have and we ended up loving them. Over all a great brunch.
Ashton Busalacchi
Food tasted great but came out cold. Took a long time to get a waitress to acknowledge us and they were not busy or understaffed. The specialty drinks were overpriced and mediocre at best. Some of the staff were dressed like they were hanging out at home in pajamas, not working at an expensive brunch restaurant. We love La Merenda but this does not hold up to the quality there.
Chris
If you're visiting Milwaukee and like trying dishes from other parts of the globe, I'd recommend Engine Co. 3. For $45, we got four entrees from France, Italy, and Spain. The wait staff was attentive, clean, and made great recommendations for first time visitors.
The food was delicious and you could really taste how each ingredient affects the meal. Everything is locally grown and they even tell you where the food comes from.
It's also a uniquely designed idea built around an actual fire house.
The only downside, which the waitress warned us about ahead of time, since the dishes are international dishes, the portion sizes are smaller than what you'd typically get here. But four entrees is good to split between two-four people.
Next time we visit Milwaukee, we plan to stop here again
Daniel S.
Brunch was really good. Accommodated out table of six and drive was great and fast. Food is somewhat tapas style, shareable yet enough for a meal. I had the Risotto vegetable with veal sausage. Was very good, others at the table had sausage and gravy, french toast w scrambled eggs, pulled pork Benedict all were great.
We sat opposite the door and on this cold November morning, felt every time to die opened. Would not be my first pick to be seated. All and all a great experience
Todd Robel
Just visited for our first time. There was no wait for a Sunday morning brunch which was surprising. Food was fresh, hot, and very tasty! Our server Carmen was great, she was very friendly, knowledgeable of all the menu items, and very attentive. 100% will come back! 12/10 would recommend
Nicholas Becker
Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The food is amazing and the outdoor patio is comfortable. Top notch place to go if you are looking to have breakfast on a patio in Milwaukee.
Yami Galloza
It was okay... I also think that our waiter was newer and a little overwhelmed. (Nothing against her she was trying and she was sweet) but the food didn't do it for me... they didn't have regular sugar either but I didn't know until after I ordered the coffee... and no sour cream and I didn't know that until after my potatoes were brought out. 2 things I wouldn't have bought/ordered if I knew the other things weren't available.
M E
Our server was fantastic and a complete sweetheart!
Delicious food and awesome bloodies!
Robin Timm
Finally had breakfast at Engine No. 3. What a treat! Of course, the renovated firehouse is something to behold. The food was fantastic! With local flare and a whole page of vegetarian entrées, we were thrilled to feel so spoiled! The food was amazing, service friendly and welcoming and we can't wait to go back for more!
Gary Lindsey
Great breakfast. I tried to get in twice on weekends without a reservation so settled for a week day. Worth the wait.
Jacquelyn Ostrosky
Creative dishes, food sourced locally. Nice patio and good service. I had the Patacon con Huevos y Chorizo which was great.
Jordyn Reitz
This place is phenomenal if you can get in. It's sometimes not hard if you only have 2 people. But even then we booked a reservation a week in advance to secure a spot.
Ross Nelezen
Had a great brunch here. The plates are great for sharing and it's easy to spend a lot of money here
Warren Murphy
Great place for mimosas, service is stellar.
Food is pretentious and not very good, maybe my pallet just isn’t refined enough.
Becca Shulbank-Smith
The breakfast poutine and cinnamon roll pancakes were delicious, service was attentive but not overbearing
Darius “TeamOreo” Cooper
The Breakfast Poutine was really good & definitely recommend it.
Wesam Abdallah
Love this place! The service and food are always exceptional and the tapas sized portions add a lot to the experience. Being the type that never knows what I want, the ability to order 2-3 smaller items, and share even more, is an indecisive persons dream.
Jayne Dunnum
Everything was amazing. The food was interesting and perfectly seasoned. The wait staff (Dominique) was attentive, knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy working there. The manager(owner?) stopped by to check on us and to see if we had questions. A first rate experience!
Ryan Metzler
We met another couple for brunch and ordered tapas style. Between my wife and I we ordered 4 plates: Tres Leches French Toast, Chorizo Sopes, Breakfast Poutine, Pork Eggs Benedict. The amount of food was near perfect for brunch (although we probably could have settled at 3 plates), and 3/4 of what we ordered was fantastic. The Sopes seemed to be missing the chorizo, and since they also serve a Vegetarian Sope we are relatively positive it was just a mixup.
Good atmosphere, good service, great food so 5/5.
We did arrive near opening, so it wasnt busy, but VERY shortly there after it was swamped. If you want to avoid a wait, arrive early.
L A
Really enjoyed our brunch here with friends from out of town. Walkers Pt setting is cool and very Covid safe. Food was delicious! Everyone raved about their meals: Meat Omelette, Seasonal Quiche and French Toast (w/ cream cheese & yummy peach compote) and a fantastic Quiche Lorraine (best ever & perfectly done). It's a unique worldly menu, all locally sourced. Best part is they take reservations, which most places don't on a Sunday morning. Just don't understand the restaurants that turn people away who don't want to chance a long wait in line! 👍
Russell Rapant
Just wow. The dishes were amazing, staff was knowledgeable and provided great recommendations, and the drinks were great. I had the tres leches French toast and Argentinian pork belly, both were excellent and I've never seen a more perfectly cooked sunny side up egg. I'll be visiting again for sure!
Shiyan Koh
Solid breakfast place with elaborate bloody Mary’s and creative brunch dishes.
Sabrina Self
The food was pretty good. Creative menu and a unique building. If this place does events it would an awesome location. However our service was less than impressive when I went. The greeter and waiter were bother kinda rude about how we didn't know about tapas work. However we did come on a Sunday for brunch and it was pretty busy. Also the music was too loud to really hear what we were saying. If you do decide to go though my group really enjoyed the potatoes and coconut cream French toast
Samuel SantAna
My wife and I loved the food, drinks and service.
Our new go to spot for Sunday brunch
Cari Lee
This is worth 5 stars! The kitchen is obviously well trained in making amazing food with interesting variety. The staff, from the host to the waiter were fantastic. Definitely worth the stop a little off the beaten path of the typical chain in the third ward!
Jason Kern
This has been a staple of our breakfast excursions for a few years now regardless of the hour+ drive. Cool location with a great vibe; staff has always been amazing; and the food is second to none. Some great authentic dishes with a good portion. Some of the best Bloody Mary's around and their coffee is outstanding!
Jason Kruchko
Tried EC#3 this week and arrived right as it opened at 8:30am. It's has more of a brunch menu than a breakfast place, hence the late opening time. The staff also advised us that the portions are a bit smaller than typical breakfast places and should be considered more like tapas portions.
I ordered the cajun shrimp and polenta and my coworker ordered the meat omlette special. We shared a breakfast potato dish because we were unsure of the tapas portion size. The shrimp and polenta was fantastic - rich, slightly spicy sauce over slightly firm polenta and topped with a perfect poached egg. I tried a bite of the omlett and it was very good too. The breakfast potatoes were good on their own or with a little bit of hot sauce. However, they were essential to mop up the last Cajun sauce from my shrimp dish. This was one of the best breakfast or brunch dishes I have had in the last 5+ years.
The warning that portion sizes are slightly smaller was appreciated but unnecessary as both our dishes would have been perfect portions for a workday breakfast. I was glad we had extra potatoes to mop up the rest of the sauce but they weren't needed to fill me up (I am a 6'1", 225lb guy).
I didn't realize until the meal was done that this is a sister restaurant to La Merenda, a great tapas restaurant east of EC#3. Both places are great and I highly recommend for people looking for a fun, extremely tasty, but not expensive dinning experience.

We had stopped going to Engine Co No 3 a few years ago because the food had gone downhill, but decided to try again this last weekend and we're so glad we did! Fabulous outdoor space, fantastic food and the drinks were so fresh and flavorful! Everything we had was delicious!
Dawn Carrasquillo
This place is amazing. Beautifully designed and such a clever concept. The food is delicious! I particularly recommend the tres leches french toast. We got two orders of it because it was so good.
Olivia Komppa
This is a very spacious & socially distanced venue! I appreciated all the dividers between tables and the amount of space between seating. The server’s name is escaping me but he was very friendly & the food came out so quick after ordering! The food was absolutely delicious and at a great price too. Would definitely come back for brunch again!
Kaneisha Crawford
Unique menu, but the food and mimosas were great.
C.B. Stevens
Eclectic global brunch menu in an old fashioned fire station. A very nice experience.
Darci Johnson
Such a GREAT place! We had a reservation for brunch and was seated immediately. The food was FANTASTIC and the drinks equally as good. The service was amazing. I highly recommend going and enjoying this gem!
Elise Hallock
They were busy for brunch but everything was really lovely. The coconut cream french toast was a table favorite. Definitely don't skip it, even if you don't love sweet breakfast (like me!)
Charlene Gavin
Celebrated friends birthday, much recommended.
Great service great food great location.
Jason Mattison
We really enjoyed their outdoor patio. The food was good and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. They were relatively busy when we visited today so the service was a little slow but you could tell our server was trying her best to pay attention to us. Enjoyed and we will be back to try other dishes.
Codi Gauger
Wonderful brunch! The food was amazing, and on top of that the service is phenomenal. It is tapas style, but the portions are still fairly large. My BF and I ordered the veggie special omelet, French toast, and potatoes and we had more than enough food, and we found the prices to be very reasonable.
elizabeth geesaman
I had the Cajun shrimp and polenta, he had the sopes vegetarianos. On a rare note, I couldn't decide which was better. Every time I had a bit of his, I thought he got the better dish, then back to mine and I again thought I did the better job ordering. The flavors on both were perfectly married and provided depth and balance to the dishes. Service was impeccable, thank you Brett! If you appreciate good food, you need to make it a point to come here.
Trevor Olsen
Their brunch was some of the best food I’ve had in Milwaukee. I was impressed with every dish that hit the table. We had to be patient with the wait staff as they were a bit understaffed but it was well worth the wait. I highly suggest the Cajun shrimp and polenta as well as the Sope de Chorizo. The veggie crepes were also out of this world!
jessica blazekovic
Great food and service. I'd recommend trying to sit upstairs as we were right behind hostess station and got the blasts of cold every time the door opened. It was nice & toasty upstairs when we went to check it out though!
Dolores Melendez
Food was great , service was awsome. Nice clean and tidy place.
Meryl Fitzpatrick
I REALLY enjoyed my breakfast at Engine Company No. 3. We had made reservations for brunch in advanced (I recommend doing this on weekends) and brought an out of town guest. She was equally as impressed with her meal as well. I had the french toast and it was definitely one of the best french toasts I've had in the city and would highly recommend that as an option to others. The coffee was also very good and was a strong coffee (nothing worse than a weak coffee). Service was on point, attentive, and professional. Our waitress had good command of the menu and made a number of great recommendations. I can't wait to come back to this unique location in the future.
Nathan Timperley
I never expected to find the best take I've ever had on shrimp and grits while on a weekend trip to Milwaukee, but here we are. Monkey bread and service we equally fantastic. Seriously considering bailing on my breakfast plans for tomorrow to come back and order the same thing
Ashley S
Huge huge fan of this place! I was looking for a great breakfast/brunch spot to take my out-of-town friends and this place came highly recommended.
Tip: Make a reservation. Especially on a weekend. I made a reservation. Unfortunately, my friends' train was running late, so I called and let the hostess know we would be 15 minutes late. Well, there was a big run/walk that morning as well, which delayed us an additional 15 minutes. I called the hostess and thankfully, she said it was no problem at all. Super friendly staff!
We all had bloody's, which were incredibly tasty! I prefer mine not super watery and with lots of flavor, and that is was! Go for the spicy (it's not too spicy). It comes with a pickle, beet, lemon and lime. Do yourself a favor and spend the $1 for a piece of bacon.
Time for the extra good stuff. I had the spaghetti squash carbonara. Wow. Just wow. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. If you're there, and it's on special, get it. So much flavor and so unique! I forgot I was eating spaghetti squash. My friend said she wanted to lick the plate it was so good.
Inside has cute decor - old firehouse/theme to it!
All in all, awesome spot! My Chicago friends even said next time they are in town, they want to head back there.
Emily B
Great food. Serves local coffee. Good vegetarian options. Quality alcohol for brunch. Don't come here and just get pancakes--the more Colombian/unamerican the food, the better! That is their specialty. Great service and the owner is genuine and cares about all aspects of the business. Cozy intimate spot or accommodating for a big party. has a great environment.
brian walton
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast dishes all had a spanish flair to them. Had the pulled pork Benedict which was great. My son had their sticky bun pancakes and eggs. My wife had a Spanish potato dish with egg. All of which was a lot of food. Prices were much more reasonable than expected. Seating area was perfect. They had opaque plexiglass dividers between each table which made it feel private and safe. Staff was very accommodating and quite responsive to us. Hardly any waiting and she came back often to make sure we had everything. Will definitely be going back again soon
Martin Rudd
Outstanding selection of tapas brunch items on a Sunday. Highly recommended dishes include the quiche lorraine and the empanadas. There seemed to be several, well described specials too. Comfortable surroundings with knowledgeable staff and nice portions for sharing of farm to table style food.
Julia C
Best brunch I've had! Looooved the Korean brussel sprout and tofu dish. Outstanding flavor.
Holly Hennessy
Great vibe; who doesn't love a fire station? Excellent food and service from sweet Carmen. Enjoy the museum-esque photographs.
William Wade
I had a 5 star experience, everytime the wait staff brought out a meal for the other tables it looked like something I'd like to try. But I have to deduct 1 star because our table was on an uneven surface so I kept one foot on the base to prevent it from rocking and spilling our coffee. Table reservation must be made 24 hours in advance. We dined outdoors and I would definitely recommend the place.
Eric Lewis
I go here a few times a year. Most of the time one can expect a wait, but the bar upstairs is open and comfortable, and can even accommodate large groups of patrons. The food is interesting, original, and memorable - which keeps me going back. I've had numerous dishes from Engine No. 3 and they have never disappointed. I especially enjoy that they play host to a varied twist on international cuisine. The service is always friendly, and our last host Emily was top notch.
Jon Kline
This is my new favorite spot for brunch in Milwaukee. The menu has a ton of variety and everything we had was delicious. The goat cheese curds were amazing.
It’s tapas style, with relatively large tapas plates. Expect to order about 1.5 dishes per person. After tip, expect to spend about $25-35 each.
They have outdoor dining on the patio. Staff seemed to take COVID-19 precautions seriously. Overall, an awesome experience!
Diane Gregory
Scrumptious farm to table selections in a historic venue with superior service!
Linnzy G
I recently went here to celebrate mother's day with my family. Obviously, it was packed for brunch but the hostess recommended that we waited upstairs and take advantage of the full bar. She also made sure that our table for 6 was on the lower level to accommodate my mothers Muscular Dystrophy which was great. Upstairs, we met Matt the bartender who was super cool. He recommend pretty great drinks and informed us about how everything on the menu was local AND served a mean (strawless!) spicy bloody. Natasha was our server and she was very knowledgeable in regards to the menu. She also helped me discretely pay the bill. Not only is the venue fun and exciting, but the food was delicious, AND the staff was friendly and efficient. My family loved it. I would come back in a heartbeat. PS - try the damn muffins.
mary blue
We came to Milwaukee for our wedding anniversary and this is the best thing we did all weekend! The food was so unbelievably delicious, we each ordered two things off of the menu and shared. The building is very neat with a great atmosphere. The service from the staff was perfect, quick and genuinely kind. Did I say how amazing the food was? I will be talking about it for weeks and and I can't wait to go back and try something new!
Amanda Smith
I love that there is a focus on international food here. Great service too. If there is any tapa that I would recommend here it would be the empanadas, which just so happen to be gluten free! I am gluten free and they were some of the best I have had in my life. Can’t wait to go back!
Ellie Erd
The food never disappoints here, and it’s awesome that the ingredients are locally sourced. I have enjoyed eating brunch here with a date or with a group of friends to pass small plates with. Health precautions seem to be taken seriously, with the addition of barriers between spaced apart tables.
Jay Allen
Absolutely stellar food. Nice staff, very friendly. They asked for our phone number even though we were seated immediately. Not sure what that was about.
The chorizo and potatoes was very fresh. Very smokey flavor and fairly spicy salsa. Especially liked the seasoning on the potatoes. Meh on the garlic aioli.
The bratwurst sandwich was similarly amazing. The sausage patty was extremely good quality and the egg gave it a nice flavor, but it was the pretzel bun that really completed the sandwich. Not a fan of horseradish mayo though.
Would easily come and eat here again, highly recommended.
Emily Stodola
So much care put into this food. Loved the summer Vegetable Quiche, the sticky buns pancakes and the sope de chorizo. Excellent service and advice from waitress. We will definitely be back.
Katherine
Food was good, our server was great but eat your food slow otherwise they rush you out of there. We have been to many restaraunts and have never been asked to leave our table because they 'like to keep the rotation moving.' We were offered to move upstairs but we were just wanting to finish our water after spending $55.00 on our brunch. You would think we could at least finish our water before having to move on. We just moved here and probably wouldn't go back. When you walk into a restaurant we like for our overall experience to be great and definitely don't need mean stares after we paid our bill.
Anna Jansson
We have always loved coming here. Another great food experience, however while we were chatting at the end of our meal our server encouraged us (& not in the sweetest of tones) to move upstairs to the bar, clearly asking us to leave the table. There was no wait and empty tables around us so we were slightly confused by the rude request. We unfortunately left with a bad taste in our mouths after that. I’ve also noticed other reviewers have written about the same experience. I’ll opt to go elsewhere for brunch next time. I believe brunch is supposed to be a relaxed dining experience... Especially for those of us who don’t get out for it very often.
Chris Warren
Super tasty local brunch spot that seems like it can get crowded if you show up after 9:30. Waitress was patient with my tiredness and slow reaction times but helped me select something delicious. I have a feeling most things on the menu would be pretty great. Coffee was pretty decent as well!
tammy b
Very cool atmosphere, we came at 1230 on Friday not to busy, our waiter was very smiley and very helpful. All the food was good, I had a pastrami sandwich on a pretzel bun, little dry needs more of the yummy sauce they put on but it was good flavor, my sister had the French Toast wow melt in your mouth. I would definitely recommend to go here at least once to check it out
Principle & Integrity
Very delicious and original food as well as original and interesting establishment. Service is a little on the slower end and the prices are somewhat high just for breakfast ($50-$60 for two people) but overall an enjoyable place to dine.
Brittany Proehl
Was in town for a conference and stopped in for Bloody Marys and breakfast. The bloodys are GREAT and they are STRAW FREE! Breakfast is not just a simple “eggs and toast” they offer many different things for breakfast that are well worth trying. I personally had Brioche French toast, and it was incredible. I can’t wait to stop back here again when I am in town. I love the “fire/firehouse/firefighter” theme!
Jenny Johnson
Amazing service. The menu is exquisite offering cuisines from around the world. This is a great brunch spot if you're willing to spend a little extra, but the portions are adequate for the quality and price point. You won't be disappointed!
Dee Breezy
Omg! Best breakfast ever!!! My guy had the blueberry pancakes and baby red potatoes. I had the quiche Lorraine. Hands down the best breakfast I've ever had!
I got my order to go, and had the most delicious bloody Mary while I waited. Good value, too! Definitely recommend!
Courtney Verhage
This place is excellent for sharing brunch! This tapas style brunch spot has amazing cocktails and high quality farm to table foods. They are a good Covid conscious location.
Nicholas Averill
Really cool converted old fire station with a unique menu to match. Great staff that seemed on top of things and knew a lot about each menu item including where a lot of the food is sourced from. Many different morning drink options including special bloody Mary’s . I was there for brunch and had the pork belly it didn’t disappoint .
Linnzy Gely
I want to say it’s my third time coming here and we always leave so satisfied! Jason was our server today and he was super friendly, aware, and was crushing it with the names of the menu items. We never once asked where he/our food was, and he didn’t try to rush us out. I came hungry and still took home leftovers, which is always a win in my book. We will keep coming back for the service, scenery, and yummy food
Keri Price
Great breakfast/brunch spot. Unique setting (in an old Fire Station) with amazing dishes and friendly staff. Tried a Raspberry Mimosa today along with Quiche Lorraine. So tasty - highly recommended. Definitely one of our Milwaukee favorites!
Nick Bonestroo
Great experience! Our group really enjoyed our meals. Prompt service as well.
Natalie
Milwaukee has a lot of great brunch places, but this is one of my absolute favorites. Whether you are looking for classic brunch/breakfast items or something unique, Engine Company No. 3 will satisfy with hearty dishes from around the globe. The quality is top notch and the location is great for group outings or more intimate meals. Love it!
Ian Carroll
Food is always amazing and the atmosphere is very cool. The building itself is charming and the inside is set up with lots of booths and there is also an upstairs. The only issue is that if you want brunch, unless you called ahead, be prepared to wait. For a while. But that's not Engine Co #3's fault, just goes to show that is a spectacular brunch spot
Ramona Perales
Food is excellent and has a great gluten free menu. This was my 2nd time there and have been unimpressed with the service both times. Longer than usual wait to have drink and food orders taken, food comes timely, however waiting to pay the bill is always off-putting especially when once it is paid the waitress then rushes you off the table for others to be seated. While I get that time is money in the service industry, when there is no one waiting to be seated and there are other open tables, I find it rude to tell a table that they have to leave.
Andy Post
Great Bloody Mary! Service was wonderful. That being said, not really a great place to bring your 2 year old. High chairs don't have seat belts, no kids menu, no "kids cups"...just glass (plastic can be washed too). Was able to order from the "sides" menu to make it work... sadly, we wanted to like this place more than we did.
Braden Forrest
Excellent food. Everything was very fresh and well done. They don't split up bills though, so paying for our bill (10 people) turned into a bit of a nightmare. They also add 20% onto groups of 6+ (likely why they won't split up a bill) which ended up being far less than we would have tipped anyway. So the server lost out there.
Clay L
My eggs Benedict was cold due to the lox, wish it was smoked lox my girlfriend got the breakfast mac and cheese
Brandon Gross
This restaurant has a beautiful setting of an old Firehouse from the 1900's, refurbished into a modern restaurant that is in keeping with the recent economic boom in Walker's Point. You'll get a lot of that "hipster feel" in here, including the inflated prices for food and drinks. The "hot one" bloody mary I had was delicious and lived up to it's name. The food options have a South American style that does not match the setting at all, but are apparently inspired by the ownership. I had never tried traditional Columbran breakfast (obviously modified for American portion sizes and ingredient availability) and I enjoyed the new experience. I can't say I was blown away by the flavor, but it was an enjoyable brunch nonetheless. One of our dishes did come out poorly done - it was undercooked and oversalted - but the staff was quick to fix the mistake and the replacement dish came out quickly with obvious care for the quality of our experience. The service was excellent to be sure. I'd say you should definitely visit this brunch place for the experience. I will probably be back soon to try the other interesting menu options.
Sara Lee
Second floor to wait, complimentary water but you can order drinks up there. Cute place, good service.
Tim Eckhardt
Such a cool spot. Their bloody marys are incredible! And I love all the food they're growing in the planters on the patio. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough!
Heather Dall
My husband and I had our (COVID) wedding at Engine Company No.3 on 8/1/2020, and it was perfect! I would highly recommend Amanda and her team for any type of event/dinner. The food was amazing, we got compliments from all our guests. Everything was so great even though we put together our wedding relatively last minute. Thank you so much!
Josh Eide
Awesome food and amazing experience. This place typically has a wait but figured I'd give it a shot on a Saturday afternoon. In my group we had two coffee drinks and a bloody Mary to start out with. For food we had eggs Benedict. The food was cooked to perfection. To say the least it was a great experience and suggest anyone to come enjoy!
Maggie Doré
The concept and decor are different (former fire station) and pleasing. The staff were all very polite. The steak my husband ordered was well cooked but not seasoned. That was the only thing amiss. Everything else was spot on. The chorizo, steak sandwich, and cinnamon roll were noteworthy. The fries are delicious.
Beth Graham
They have take away breakfast and open early on weekdays, which you don't find much of in this area! Decor reflects the firehouse atmosphere. The upstairs has a bar and is a great waiting place when the lines are long. Make a reservation if you can, will definitely help out!
Great breakfast foods with a variety of options and locally sourced vendors.
Wish they were open later in afternoon!
Jason
I always make a reservation here for Sunday brunch after a long evening out on Saturday. The food is delicious. They keep a lot of traditional breakfast items but add there own twist. I like that all the food is fresh and the staff lets you know where it came from. I would recommend this place.
Laura Lynn
This place seems to be well organized. If you show up without a reservation, they have a special area (with a bar and pastries) for waiting. After we were sat, with the restaurant full, we got out for surprisingly fast. It was tasty. The service is great. They serve damn good coffee... and hot. It is certainly worth making a reservation or the wait.
Sarah Leipold
This place is so cozy inside and the food was fantastic. Our server was so pleasant and explained all of the fancy food words to us before we ordered. I got the spaghetti squash and the portion was a little smaller than I’m used to at other brunch places, but other dishes seemed to have bigger portions.
Amanda Barber
Love the atmosphere and the food is great! The chorizo Joe was great comfort food and the truffle fries were amazing! The kids had the Blueberry pancakes and they were huge, full of blueberries, and fluffy. My husband tried the Ramen which had a few areas to improve but the overall flavors were great!
Mitchelle
I loved my service and my meal, Argentinian pork belly with the mashed potatoes and fried egg. I also had French toast that I couldn't finish but was so tasty.
The cajun shrimp looked and smelled amazing- too bad I became allergic in recent years. I almost risked it haha.
Great job!!
Alicia Stensberg
Great place for brunch! Atmosphere is excellent. There was a wait, but the bar upstairs had more than enough space and the bloody Mary's were amazing! I had the salmon benedict and found the hollandaise sauce not to my liking, but that is a personal preference (I enjoy a very rich, traditional hollandaise).
Kurt Sosa
Food was full of flavor, just yum! Take advantage of sharing at your table! The wait staff is spectacular! Can't go wrong with bloody Mary.
Stacey Lynn
Just moved to Wisconsin a few months ago & my parents came to visit.. Since my dad is a retired Los Angeles City Fire Fighter, I thought it would be cute to take him here since it's an old fire house. But I definitely wasn't expecting the food to be as AMAZING as it was! I ordered the chicken sausage omelet of the day and OH MY GOODNESS. it was sooooooo delicious! Highly recommend & can't wait to go back & try something else here! Also, our waitress was super nice and encouraged us to walk around & look at all the old fire department memorabilia & photos they have displayed on the walls.
Nick H
Food was good. Service was good. But you have to pay extra for the garish on your Bloody Mary? I got three olives and a celery stick. $3? Really? Isn’t that part of a bloody?
Timothy Brown
Wow…. Soooo good. Bret, our server, was flawless, and the food was the best we’ve had for brunch in Milwaukee. Good eats!
Ms. Kylie M
The food was phenomenal!!! The place is an old firehouse with all the decor to go with it. My husband had the basic egg breakfast and the red potatoes were delicious. I went out on a limb and ordered the Patacon Con Huevos Y Chorizo, it is a must have! Will definitely come back again the next time were in Milwaukee.
alexandra huffman
Smoked pork benidict and the breakast risotto are 20/10
Kayla
Amazing food and service! Zach was our waiter and did a great job explaining the local sourcing of the ingredients. The fun started before the meal when I lost at an epic battleship game upstairs until our table was ready. I had chorizo Joe's and was blown away by everything about it - flavor was wonderful!
MicheleFelice Bohlmann
Wonderful place for brunch any day of the week. It was great to see how an old firehouse was transformed into a restaurant. We especially enjoyed seeing the old "net" attached to the wall which was used by the firefighters when a person needed to jump out of a burning building. We also appreciated having an outlet available to charge our phones at our table for two. Now about the food . . . Everything was delicious and was made from locally sourced ingredients. The favors of each entree were combined in such a way that they provided comfort as well as nourishment. The hot cider drink had a surprise "kick" for ones pallete. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch and will definitely be back again.
Jay Kay
One of my favorite brunch spots. The food is delicious here.
However, last time I came the wait was extremely long due to for some reason that they repurposed the entire upstairs as a wait area rather than an area that people can be seated and served. Waste of space
Justin Pelzek
Nice restaurant. Service was quick and polite. Food was fresh and flavor combinations were elevated and very tasty. I'll definitely be back to try other items that piqued my interest
Katelyn Minerick
Great staff, ambiance and drinks every time I've gone but for the price food doesn't seem like anything special
Laurel Sangerman
I recently helped organize an event for 40 people at Engine Company No. 3. The space can easily accommodate a larger party. The food, bar and service were outstanding. The event coordinators, Amanda and Jessica were a joy to work with. All of the guests were extremely happy and we will be back for future events. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.
Catherine Robertson
Excellent food and service, unique decor. Went here with my family on December 23 for brunch before church. Definitely recommend, but bring your fat wallet. Breakfast for 4 with no alcoholic beverages (only one oj, one coffee and two hot cocoas) was over $80 with tip.
Lucas Hogsett
The food was delicious and the service was on point. The menu offered a wide variety of foods with South american inspirations as well as classic breakfasts. I personally enjoyed the open spaces and fire station decore. Great place for brunch and the prices are fair for the quality of food that youre getting. I will be back in to try more.
Billie Hawkins
Delicious meal. Great staff. Very courteous and attentive. Odd menu if you're just used to standard meals, but the flavor combinations were great. Been there 4 times. Will do again.
Debbie Harkness
Great food, amazing coffee!! Nice selection of brunch menu items, we all had something different and it was all good. Use local ingredients when the can and again, the valentine coffee was delicious
Connor SMITH
Great tapas style food!]
Wendy Hedlund
The historical setting and the diverse menu make this restaurant an enjoyable experience in addition to a place to get good food. The service was friendly, helpful, and fast. We stopped as we traveled home north from the Milwaukee airport and it was not difficult or far off of Hwy. 43.
Cyndy A
Cute renovated and beautifully decorated old firehouse, mainly a tapas bar and a bit more on the expensive side. The flavors were great but portions sizes are on the smaller sizes
Vamshi Kalla
I just love this place. Small when looked from out but it’s really dynamic & best food place for breakfast & lunch so far in Milwaukee.
Denise Peterson
We had a great breakfast here. The food and service is fantastic! Will be back soon!
Debbie Kaltman
Fantastic brunch! Really unique menu (plantains + rice & beans + eggs, PB&J French toast) and great drinks (Spotted Cow beer-mimosa, lattes with fun syrups, etc) and a cool historical space. Highly recommended.
CJ Micklitz
Engine company no. 3 is an awesome place! Great food with a wide selection of meat and vegetarian plates. Nice flavor profiles with a knowledgeable staff. Full bar selections with breakfast drinks. Highly recommend you check this place out. Worth the wait when there is one!
Kristy Zahn
Gluten Free haven!! I have celiac disease and have been desperate for actual delicious food. The amazing thing about Engine Company No. 3 is that a large portion of their brunch menu is naturally gluten free (please inform staff regardless while ordering if you have celiac). That means no tiny sandwich bread while everyone else has giant, delicious looking sandwiches, no side salad instead of fries (because I'm a person too, I like fries). Actual, regular food. I had the PATACON CON HUEVO Y CARNE with chorizo and it was honestly one of the best meals I can remember. Smashed plantains, cilantro rice and beans that tasted like heaven, and the chorizo was not greasy at all. I could go eat that dish every day. My husband had the URTAIN with chicken and steak, but said that both proteins were under seasoned (everything else was good). I live about a half hour away but I can't wait to go back.
Elizabeth Nottling
Fun location. I attended a brunch/presentation in the upstairs area. We were able to have a speaker - sound was good. Food and service was good. The upstairs area easily accommodated at least 25 individuals and a presenter.
s pags
Very solid food. Menu is pretty static, but occasionally has some surprises. Tried the special, biscuits and gravy. Biscuit was dry and gravy was more of a glaze. Tasty though, and coffee is good and plentiful.
Karla LaRock
Always a great experience, from the drinks, the food (SMOKED PORK EGGS BENEDICT) and to the beautiful themed restaurant. Great selection on the menus for lunch or brunch. Babs will always put a smile and your face. Emily's energy is contagious. All the staff does a wonderful job making sure that you have a pleasant and enjoyable time.
Matt Weis
Wonderful aesthetic in a restored 1900-era firehouse with locally-sourced provisions that make up the entirety of the menu. Plates are generously portioned while each bite is worth the set price and then some. A solid recommend from this native to any Milwaukeean and visitor to the Brew City; will be returning in the future myself!
Wilson Wright
Tapas style breakfast and lunch in a firehouse. Eclectic farm to table menu. Service attentive and meals done well
We will make this a place to revisit.
John Valenzuela
Was told there was a 20 min wait, so we ordered drinks upstairs and played Sorry with the kids. The wait only ended up being about 10 mins. Nice start.
After ordering food, it took more than 30 mins to arrive. Place wasn't too busy, there were a few empty tables and the table next to us that had 10 people and ordered 5 mins after us got their food before we did.
The bloodies were good, but not great.
No plastic straws is commendable, but there are such things as compostable straws. No straws is a bummer.
Everyone at our table tried everyone elses food and enjoyed almost everything. The smoke pork benedict was mine, and my favorite. The potatoes we a bit too salty, but very good! Kids devoured the blueberry pancakes!
Overall, good experience. Not going to ding a slow kitchen first time I eat here. Would come back next time I'm in Milwaukee.
Ted Bertsch
Fun atmosphere. Full service bar while you wait. Bloodies have great fixings but a little on the tomatoy side. Service is great, Emily was very friendly. Fresh tasty food. Salmon Benedict for me, South African sausage for my wife. Red potatoes are fantastic! Highly recommended for brunch.
Kevin LaBarr
We chose this place strictly due to Google reviews and pictures of the food, well the reviews were spot on and I'm hooked. We ended up eating at the downstairs bar and we're served by Babbs (she gave us 2 other recommendations of things to do while in Milwaukee that were spot on too.) she was great and the food was awesome...those smoked potatoes are worth the visit alone. We will be back.
Andrew Boettcher
Delicious brunch spot. The building is really cool, the food is great and the service is friendly.
Mitchell Schaub
We were there outside of normal hours for a special wine dinner. The food and the service were AMAZING and we can't wait to go back for the regular menu! The decor is cool, lots of historic firefighting equipment, and reclaimed woodwork.
Samantha Prokop
I gave Engine Co. four stars because the food was fenominal but the staff was definitely short of 5 stars. We made reservations over a week early because it’s definitely not a walk-in type of place. My husband and I arrived 10 minutes early for our 11 am reservation. The hostess reacted like we broke some sort of rule and asked us to sit at the bar to wait despite the open tables in the dining room. We sat at the bar closest to the door since we’ve never been to Engine Company before. We had removed our jackets and gotten comfortable when the bartender looked at us confused and asked if we were waiting for a table. We said we had reservations and we were asked to sit at the bar to wait. She instructed us to go upstairs to the other bar like that was something we should’ve already known. We took out money off the bar feeling kind of alienated at this point. We walked up the stairs to the second bar where we sat down and ordered drinks. The bartender handed my husband an empty cup and showed him where the coffee was just 5 ft from the bar. He was annoyed that he had to get up a second time in 5 minutes. By the time he sat down next to me with his coffee, the host found us and told us a table was ready... I was a little annoyed that we went through all that trouble because we were 10 minutes early for our reservation. After we were seated, the experience was pleasant. The food is obviously what makes the experience so desirable. I ordered the bangers and mash and my hustand ordered the daily special, which was a chili omelette. We were impressed with the food and our waitress was very friendly. The pretentious staff is what knocked a 5 star down to a 4. We most likely will not return. We can get friendlier service and equally delicious food anywhere in Milwaukee.

Engine Company is a neat place to visit with great food. It's kind of a hipster-elite atmosphere, where asking a normal question may get you scoffed at. Their food is all incredible and the location is super cool with decent street parking. Personally, i'm not a fan of the bloody Mary (outside of the shortie beer), but others here seem to like it. They're also really heavy on reservations, which is annoying because my mornings aren't scheduled out in-depth enough to allow for a reservation, but i'd imagine that's nice if you have a big group. i wish they had more walk-in tables for two or three people to sit at.
Kevin Bereswill
Great ambiance with unique dishes that are outside the normal fare of Milwaukee. Locally sourced with the sourcing farms listed on the menu. The server said that the pulled pork Benedict was life changing... She was right! looking forward to go back and try more!

My husband and I were there on May 20th. We are from out of town so we just stumbled upon this place after a quick google search in our area. We sat at the bar for breakfast. I ordered the French toast and some baby red potatoes and my husband ordered the pancakes and a side of sausages. The toast was SO good. The smoked baby reds were so rich in flavor, that they didn't need any additional salt/pepper/ketchup or anything you normally might add. Actually, we agreed ketchup took away from their smoky flavor. We left really impressed by our server and his deep knowledge of where the individual food items came from (farm name and location). We will come back next time we are in MKE!

I really want to like this place. The concept is great and the menu descriptions interest me, but the food kind of falls flat. The breakfast sandwich I tried on my first visit, along with the tater tots, was so salty I could barely eat it. Last time I tried the Milenesa sandwich and upgraded to truffle fries. The sandwich was good, nothing wrong with it, but absolutely unexceptional (damning faint praise). Even the jalapeno jam could not wake up the flavor. And I strongly suspect the fries were seasoned with truffle salt and that's it...for the $2 upcharge I was definitely expecting more.
Ben Atwell
Great food, really cool ambience. It used to be a fire station if that wasn't evident from the name. I had the smoked pork Benedict which was awesome. They have great breakfast potatoes and monkey bread as well.
Robere Kujac
The food was good though the hostess lacked basic customer service skills. In general most of the staff lacked a level of friendliness. I didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling being there...a feeling of..being welcome. ;(
Christie Perez
I have been to this restaurant a couple of times and I waited to give my review to be sure it was accurate. My first experience was more of a three stars and my second experience was definite four stars. What is the difference between the two visits, I'm not sure since I didn't see any varying factors between each visits.
Flavio Rovertoni
We have visited Engine Company No. 3 a few times. It's a great location. You can see downtown. The location is charming and clean. Our brunch and Bloody Mary's are great.
katherine burden
Food was good. Atmosphere was pretty neat as well. I just wish the food had a bit more flavor. The ingredients are so unique but the taste doesn't match the uniqueness.
Adam Brissman
Best breakfast in Milwaukee hands down. Get anything with their outstandingly light and bright hollandaise on it. It's really a special thing that brings out the best in the salmon or whatever you get. Salad on the side for breakfast is my new thing learned from here also. La Merenda's breakfast place was bound to be good but this is a level up even with that in mind.. definitely make reservations in advance as they do not take same day reservations and there is always a significant wait. I've definitely waited it out in their upstairs bar over a bloody and coffee which is pretty painless also!
Lisa
Unique decor, and food was super. Servers were so-so. All in all it was a pleasant experience. I'd try a new place before going back.
Brad Ehlert
Historic building beautifully restored. Locally sourced meats and vegetables in creative international dishes. Super friendly staff. Menu near the front door signed by Barack Obama after his surprise 2016 lunch here.
Mariely Rodriguez
Excellent service and food!! My friend and I tried The Patacones "tostones" with chorizo delicious, rice kind of oily but super flavorful. Squash carbonara it was the surprise of the table very good. We also tried the apple french toast perfect for a dessert option.
Kristina Govern
Excellent menu, creative and very flavorful. We loved sharing are table! Ambiance is cool and relaxed.
karley holtz
Literally everything that I ordered was Amazing. I was very hungry, very satisfied, and very happy with all of the delicious food. Service was fast and friendly. Overall great experience.
Geo Geo
Our server Carmen was AWESOME!!! Her attention to our needs was outstanding. The food was really, really tasty and the atmosphere was welcoming.
Kate Gucwa
Great breakfast. Smoked salmon Benedict was very tasty. We had to wait about 40 minutes but they had board and card games to keep everyone entertained.
Jacob D
Great selection of breakfast foods and beverages. Good mix of mainstays and inventive breakfast dishes. Also it is tapas style which actually works really well for breakfast food.
Sarah Luna
Both food and drinks were fabulous! Unique menu selection... if you are looking for the classic brunch spot I would not recommend, but if you're looking for a new brunch experience, try this place out!
david pankiewicz
Great options today with the specials! I wished wasn't keeping the carbs low as the PBJ French Toast. Amazing potatoes! Very quick service. Great reason to stop in walkers point. Easy to find parking.
Just stopped again. Best frites in town.
Jamie K Johnson
Wonderful food and some of the best wait staff I've seen! Yes, it's small and they don't take reservations, but you can kill time in their larger upstairs bar. Going back tomorrow and I can't wait!
Zach
Incredible breakfast/brunch. Try any of the bloodies, and the new tenderloin Benedict is to die for. Medium rare, tender, fresh farm-to-table.
Todd Zinkgraf
Love the outdoor patio. Food was interesting and delicious
Erin Stratton
Omg this place is amazing! We had one if tje best brunched we have had in awhile! They were very unique dishes and they were soo good. The other plus was the board games that you can play upstairs while you're waiting. I would consider taking the train up from chicago just to go to this place!
Jennifer McFadzen
Absolutely phenomenal food! They have a beautiful patio that’s great for summer. Definitely needs to be on everyone’s list for places to eat!
Gabe Pilo
Came for breakfast during the week. Very solid menu with local sourced ingredients. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'm going to have to get this place in the brunch rotation.
anthony downing
WOW! Talk about brunch out side the box! I'm an experienced dinner but I have never heard of many of the items on this menu. The patacones were amazing I never thought I could enjoy a vegetarian this much!
Emmanuel Tavares
Great variety of food, very fun and diverse menu. I try a new item each time. Only issue I have is that the tables in the back of the restaurant get a little cold during the winter time, so would rank 4.5 Stars.
CykoMF Harley
Cheerful atmosphere, good service. Food was ok but the voodoo fries are a bit misleading. (More greasy than spicy) Multiple attempts were made to upsell our orders.
Denise
We were a party of 7, with 4 of us from out of state.. This was our 1st time dinning here..
The food was great and our server was very personable an attentive.
John Arneson
Awesome atmosphere, fantastic food, menu and prices. Peter the proprietor is a class act and my server Jason was spot on and hilarious. Another great experience and I'll be back again!
Justin Kibler
Amazing - We found this hidden gem on our way through Milwaukee and loved every minute of it. Great breakfast! Arguably the best eggs and potatoes I have ever had.
Rebecca Drinkwater
Good service, great food! Impressed with how quick food arrived. Beef empanadas were a table favorite. Beef tenderloin was so tender.
Kenneth Porter
Great service here. They have plenty of space here in the converted firehouse. We went up stairs for mimosa while we waited for a table. They have some unique options here without straying too far away from what's tried & true.
Mitch Dobberpuhl
Went for weekday breakfast. The menu is unique, affordable priced ($10-15), and has vegan and vegetarian options. Everyone enjoyed the food. Service was snappy.
Natalie Patti
By far the best tasting brunch in Milw, including my favorite Bloody Mary around. Even better that Engine Company No 3 is committed to locally sourced food, and the quality is obvious. Highly recommend!!
Corinne Junker
Love the building and flooring. Food was good. My husband always gets a ham and cheese omelette and they have a set menu. Great baby reds
Jonell Koo
The food is outstanding!! You have to get there early to get in, but it is worth the wait! Fresh food, good service and reasonable prices... What else can you ask for? Give it a try... The locals know about Engine Company.
Neil Franzen
Breakfast without a reservation can be a bit of a wait. The upstairs seating is first-come, so that's always an option. The food was all very good, if not a bit salty. Wait staff very helpful.
Colleen Eaton
In a converted Firehouse, it's a true gem. Fabulous food, excellent bloody Mary's, great atmosphere. Make reservations in advance or hang out in the upstairs bar on Sunday mornings. It's crowded for a reason. Fabulous!
Lisa Brown
Great place to have brunch. Seating inside and nice outdoor patio with bar available. Food was delicious as were the Beermosas! Highly recommend reservations.
Michael Bischoff
ECN3 really filled a hole in the Milwaukee restaurant scene by being a dedicated breakfast/brunch spot. Even with some new players in that space, Engine Company always delivers an outstanding morning dining experience. Like their sister restaurant La Merenda, they strike a balance between local flavors and ingredients and globally-inspired menu items.
Some of my favorites are the Urtain, Patacon con Huevos y Chorizo and Krumpli (when it's on the menu). But the traditional breakfast staples, like pancakes and French toast, are also excellent.
Byron Duran
The Cajun Shrimp and Polenta has a spicy kick. So be careful. Overall, great service.
Matt Coughlin
Breakfast was delish, unique selections and the service was great too.
April Modjeska
Atmosphere was spot on. The food was ok, I was excited to try foods from all over the world, even some we make as family. Not what I was expecting, but it was ok.
Mike Rizzo
Great food and service. Will suggest to anyone visiting Milwaukee
Cheryl Tesch
What an awesome piece of history that someone had the vision to preserve and turn into an awesome restaurant! Stopped operation as a fire house in the 1920’s and had been vacant until 3 years ago. Definitely a must stop if your in Milwaukee.
Trevor Wilkinson
Great spot for an amazing brunch in an awesome setting. The menu was so filled with delicious sounding choices that I had difficulty choosing! I will definitely be back!

Nathan Dykstra
Went for a private event. Really good food but limited parking in the area. Expect a street spot and a bit of walking. Two floors offers a nice separation from the main bar area.
Amanda H
Food was excellent! We went for brunch. The salmon eggs benedict was a big hit. Orange juice was fresh squeezed.
bridget g
Innovative dishes, efficient service even though it is always busy. Great interior, can be noisy but it's fun. Pricey but we enjoy it with friends. Valet parking is super.

Abby Fleck
Great brunch! The menu is inspired from many different cuisines and each dish has a creative twist.
Daniel Smith
The elegant and pristine palace the is the Engine Company Number three is poetic in the way of food. The atmosphere is a certain je ne sais quoi if a may be so bold. Hmmm. Which I may!! If you have yet to go treat yourself, just tell them Dan sent you. It will do nothing for you but it sounds cool to act like you know someone working there.
Erin Murphy
Diverse menu and tasty food. Bloody Mary is on point. Little drafty by the window. Great wait staff.
Kegan Hoerle
