I went to Denny's for breakfast and had the Philly Cheese Steak omelette. The omelette had excellent flavor and a fairly generous amount of beef. The beef was tender and flavorful, as was the omelette as a whole. The service was friendly and very good overall, especially considering that the staff was quite shorthanded.

Staff was pleasant, restaurant was clean, food was quick which was great because it was our first time taking our daughter out to a restaurant. Staff didn't make a big fuss when we just wanted to share our food with our daughter rather than buy an entire kids meal for her, as I have had family experience this at other restaurants. Pricing is always decent.

They only had one waitress so obviously we knew it would be a little bit slow but we still got our food out in a timely manner, everything was good, and our one waitress who was mighty busy was friendly and very attentive. Definitely recommended

We have always enjoyed going to Denny's! Pancakes, eggs, sausage and hash browns. Both my wife and I had to take the pancakes home. With juice and coffee bill was $28.00. Excellent friendly service. This Denny's is on Howell Avenue a few blocks south of Layton Avenue. Enjoy!! 16Oct2022 Had "Classic Eggs Benedict" wife had "French Toast Slam." Sides of Lg OJ & Tomatoe Juices, Toast, Bacon and Sausage, Coffees. $36. Seated immediately (10:30 AM) but it filled up quickly. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. As usual Denny's food is very good!

We both had the 'Fit Slim'. An excellent tasting plate of scrambled egg whites w fresh spinach, grape tomatoes, turkey bacon strips, English muffin and a generous portion of fruit. All this and only 450 calories ! Both waitresses were on extended work shifts but were very pleasant.

I put four stars, but have to give disclaimer. I work in this location so can't give a completely unbiased review. Would be five stars if three of our cooks didn't decide to up and leave without telling everyone. Hopefully they'll see this and not ruin any more patrons days.

We stopped at this Denny's for breakfast. My wife was having a reunion with her grade school friends. They gave us a nice table. The rest of her small group arrived a little bit later. They were very patient in waiting for the rest of the group. When we did order, the food was hot and fast. The manager came by to see if we were happy. The staff took pictures for us. Highly recommend!!!

There was the most wonderful manager working here when we ate at this Denny's recently. She was just so kind and made everyone feel extremely comfortable and welcomed! As if we were all just going to have dinner at a relative or a friends house. And actually, our waitress on that evening was wonderful, as well. So yes overall they have a great group of people who work here at this Denny's! 100% Love this location! 5 stars all around!

It was ok I ordered online my order wasn't done in the time they said. I didn't get my coffee or orange juice that came with my meals that was $6 that I couldn't get back. When I tried to call and let someone know, there was no answer or anything. I wasn't to happy with my order but the food was good.**update Denny's did refund my drinks I really appreciate that.**

Their food fluctuates between being fantastic and decent. If it was more consistent, I'd give 5 stars for sure. That is my only complaint. Otherwise, the servers are extremely pleasant, attentive, and quick, and it is one of the only places that is open late. They're my reliable go-to for late nights with friends, and I appreciate them for that!

Loved this place. Seriously, go here. Picked up for myself and 2 other people last night. We all got breakfast food but it was at like 8pm. Every bite for all 3 of us was perfection. The orders were made correctly, nothing was missing, the workers were super friendly, it was just awesome. Not that I was surprised, I came here after work with friends all the time when I lived here, but I moved away so it's been a while. So glad to know time hasn't changed the welcome feeling and awesome hospitality of this place. Also, someone was making a scene while I was there and the workers were much more professional than I might have been in their place. Who threatens to beat another person because they read their coupon wrong and they want the deal still🤦. Anyhow this Denny's is awesome, always has been, hopefully it always will be❤️ much love to any who read this, enjoy!!

We were returning customers of carry out however on this last visit we were very disappointed. First our hour wasn't ready (not so bad), then they handled me our 2 bags and I walked to the car and decided to double check and sure enough we were missing an entire meal and 1 meal had the wrong side. I walked back in and showed them we were missing items and had 1 incorrect item. As I waited another customer pointed out that the hostess/waitress was using her bare hands to put my order in a box. The other workers watched her do it and were looking directly at me. When she brought it out I informed another person working (she was checking out the lady that informed of their actions) of what happened and she told the girl to remake my order. I could clearly see her actions and she did try to put my contaminated order back to the cooks but the other worker pointed at me and she set it aside. Not only was a disgusting and disappointed by their contamination but there was no apology nothing just put the new box in the bag and walked away. I am disappointed at this experience because we had enjoyed their food. But I think that experience has tarnished our desire to order from there again.

Haven't been to a Denny's in a long while. Came here today because the place we were headed to was unavailable. Limited menu due to COVID but probably the most popular options are there. Food was quite good (omelet and hash browns, and a Moons over my Hammy with hash browns), service was quick, our waitress was really attentive and offered/provided condiments when the food was brought out so she didn't have to go back. For those concerned about it, tables were distanced and sanitized, employees were masked, etc.

Place was clean, food was good however the staff seemed to careless about being there. I understand being understaffed, but there was one table when we walked in, we sat down and then 2 other tables were sat and it seemed as though that was all the staff thought they could handle. We couldn’t understand what they are saying as the music was loud but 11 tables walked out! Server was nice but very inattentive!

My mom is getting very old and frail and cooking isn't easy for her anymore so I take her out sometimes. This place was very comfortable for her. Very nice waitress, they had suger free syrup b/c she's diabetic, the food was great, and I would recommend it. Some restaurants can be loud, crowded, slow, and it's not fun all the time.

The food was amazing our waitress and her trainee were very friendly and polite and checked in to make sure everything was going great I forgot their names but they were awesome. We were in there 11/23/2019 around 4:30am. My dad ordered the cali burrito and he loved it. Husband ordered the builder your own grand slam I think it was called and couldn't finish it but loved it and I had a chicken sandwich which was amazing loved it. We will definitely go back and be regular guests.

They estimated our wait time 20 mins. We waited 45 mins. During that time, I seen a lot of unhappy workers, tables not getting busted, and what looked to be a lot of confusion. I understand covid and every other seat being empty but this was not the case. Our server was very friendly she did receive a tip. Their was another waiter there with blonde hair and she was busting her butt. I didn't catch her name but she knew what she was doing.

Can’t complain about the waitress or the quality of the food. It was both pretty good this time. But it appears they are severely understaffed and they’re having trouble managing the quantity of people that they’re allowing back in.

Clean restaurant and was greeted immediately when I walked in by Kayla. Food was good and came out quickly. Kayla made sure I was okay, and kept on checking in. Manager on duty came by to also check. I did observe on a few times no employees on the front of house floor which should never happen in any business and left a few customers waiting to pay for their meals. There could be a lack of staff at this Denny's or at least when I was there. Will still come back to this Denny's next time I am in town

I'm sure they were short staffed. Took over 5 minutes to get seated, and another 5 to pay the bill. Waitress was very nice and attentive. I tipped her good because it wasn't her fault. Management should work harder to help the staff. Great food.

Food's pretty good, can't complain there. Two gripes, for two stars: A while back, I brought my wife here, and we stood at the front desk for at least 15 minutes, probably closer to 20. We weren't even acknowledged by the multiple staff who walked by and around us - it was like we were invisible. We left and went to George Webb's for the second worst meal I've ever paid for, but at least someone from the restaurant spoke to us within a reasonable time. Second, I did a pickup order today, and the food was ready within a few minutes of getting there, which was pretty awesome. Get home, and they had literally given us one syrup packet for each giant waffle and stack of pancakes. That's less than what my parents let me have as a kid. I'm pretty irritated, because I don't know who thinks one packet is enough for a stack of pancakes, or the more egregious of the two, a giant waffle. Two per, minumum. For what I paid, that's what I'd expect.

I used to come to this Denny’s years ago. Came in today and it’s still the same. Great food and great service. Never had steak and eggs, glad I tried something new. Monique was an amazing server. No issues and was very attentive. Love seeing managers outside of the office. I too work in the industry so I am very observant. Awesome job. Thank you!

Went in with a group of 15 during busy hour. We did have to wait 20 minutes for tables which was expected as a big group. Waitress was wonderful. Food were wonderful.

Only reason they got 3 star's was because we waited for like 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and seated us. The food came out super fast and hot and was actually really good. Waited like 20 minutes for our check until we finally just got up and walked to the cash register and had to ask for it. There was another couple that followed behind us as well for theirs to.

I got terrific service yesterday. The hostess/cashier was Anna. She was polite and very kind. She checked into the things I asked her about, without creating the impression that she was being inconvenienced. She asked all the right questions to make sure my meal was exactly how I wanted it to be. The food was delicious, but the service from Anna would bring me back again and again. Kudos.

We have to give four stars because the food is actually very good. They gave the best kids menu of any restaurant with many choices. The senior omelet plate is our favorite. The only issue with this Denny's is that it is beyond crowded. At meal times, you will wait for seating. You will wait to order. You will wait a long time for your food. You will wait to get your bill. You will wait to pay the bill.

Always expect good to great service from your server. The food however is lack luster. It's relatively difficult to screw up chicken fried steak yet that is what happened. Looked good. Tasted burnt. Chewed like soaked leather. The rest of our meals were good. The marinara sauce leaves something to be desired.

Fantastic service and yummy comfort food. Went in with my 3 kids, and I thought the two people who helped us were friendly and intuitive to what kids enjoy and parents need. My kids walked away with full belly's and all of us were happy. I wish I knew the name of the staff to give them both recognition.

Food was amazing!!! So delicious and fair priced. Our waitress was very sweet (never told us her name) The restaurant wasn’t too busy. I’m not sure if they were understaffed today but it was obvious something was stressing all the waitresses out. We almost left when we first arrived because the bleach blonde waitress was very upset and created a hostile environment for everyone standing in line to be seated. Thankfully the waitress we had was extremely professional and polite. Lots of tables weren’t bussed. I would have gave five stars if the restaurant was cleaner and service was faster. We waited over 20mins just for someone to take our order and another 30mins + to get our appetizer.

Service wasn't the fastest in the am hours. We were there just before 5am hoping to sit down and eat breakfast before our flight at 6am since we were already checked into our flight. There weren't many guests. 2 tables with their food already. It took them 5 minutes to even greet and seat us and another further 10 minutes to take our order. We figured after sitting down that we're not going to make it so we ended up taking out instead.

I have picked up orders at this Denny's in the past with no problems. This time I received the completely wrong order, which was inedible to me (who puts a 1/2 jar of jalapenos on a cheeseburger?). I did however submit a complaint and the store manager took care of the situation. I am satisfied with the acceptance and correction of the error, but they only get 4 stars because I still have anything to eat when I got home.

Went here with my daughter on a Saturday morning around 10 am and we had to wait for almost 30 minutes and not because it was crowded or super busy. It was because they were short staffed. The manager was at the front desk signing people in and collecting money for customers orders. Once we finally got seated the waitress was super nice! The food was delicious.

My favorite Denny's to attend. Place is always clean when you come in. Food comes out warm and prompt unless you come in after 9:30 pm. they sometimes tend to be understaffed. Wait staff is usually always polite. Great selections of food and not pricey. They also have Vegan options which is always nice! Kid friendly. Located near Mitchell International Airport .

The food was tasty overall. I ordered my eggs over medium but there was a lot of white that was runny. The environment was a little uneasy. One of the cooks and two waitresses were bickering for what seemed like 10 minutes straight. You could clearly hear the whole childish conversation, mostly initiated by the cook. One of the waitresses also took her shoe off to scratch her socked foot and then went right back to serving, grabbing plates of food. So overall the food was good but with everything else it wasn't a great experience.

The breakfast the rest of my family ordered looked pretty good. I ordered the boneless chicken and I couldn't enjoy it because it was way too salty. Apparently they are prebreaded and if that is true they need to find another vendor because those boneless chicken bites will give anybody high blood pressure. I like my food seasoned not salty there is a difference. Not to mention it took the waitress 20 mins to take our drink order after she seated us and another 15 mins to bring the drinks. I should have read the reviews first.

I have gotten take-out, and also dined in at this location. I will say that dine-in portions seem to be a bit larger than take-out portions, but other than that the food is always fresh and comes out quick. I have never had any errors to my meals that weren't dealt with immediately. On take-out orders, they will usually insist that we take a look at the order before we pay and leave, to ensure quality, and I greatly appreciate that.

I had an omelet and it was very tasty. Every person that worked there had a mask on and acted like professionals. I will probably come here again cause they have indoor seating. This Denny's is even accross the street from Mitchell International Airport.

Very reasonably-priced breakfast menu. 2.00 eggs and biscuits and gravy. Egg, great hash browns, sausage and toast for 5.99. Blueberry pancake poppers with vanilla frosting is a sweet treat. Social distancing. Cherry syrup and Coke good too!

The waitress was great, it was the under-staffing and lack of experience in the kitchen that made this experience not so appetizing. When my fiance and I got our soup, it was room temperature. 40 minutes later, we finally got our food. Some of my meal was burnt, and I smothered it in salsa which fixed it, though my fiance had a wonderful turkey dinner. Our waitress was doing the best she could, even though the restaurant manager didn't help her staff much, except play hostess. Great dessert though!

Affordable and family friendly. The girls here are awesome. Kids eat free on Tuesdays after 4....it can get crowded. Breakfast all day and options do change. High chairs and booster seats are available. There is a separate men and women's restroom.

I will admit, we did happen to choose a very busy night to eat here. But nevertheless, the service was absolutely terrible. There were very long periods of time when our waiter didn't check on us, and we had to wait 30 mins for him to give us the check after we were done eating. I ordered a tuna melt, and for the 30 mins I waited I expected more than what I received. It was a tuna sandwich, still cold, not melted. However, my boyfriend ordered the ribs and they were delicious. This place is cramped and loud!

Well, Denny's is Denny's. So I guess we are talking about a specific experience at a specific Denny's. This location, near Mitchell Airport has been notorious for poor service and slow cooks. Well, the cooks are still slow, over a half am hour to get our food. And, what we originally ordered wasn't available, but the cooks neglected to inform the staff. That added to the wait. What was outstanding was our server, Jersey. She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Not only ovet the top for a Denny's, but probably the best waitress service I ever experienced. Rivaling any highend restaurant. However, Jersey was incredibly personable, whereas the highend places can be snobby. She was an unexpected surprise that evening. I have always avoided this Denny's because of it's reputation, but now I may stop in more frequently. Thank you for a great meal.

Food was good and well prepared. Had to ask three times for a glass of water. Had originally asked for water, did not get it, asked again, did not get it, finally when asked if everything was ok, I said I could use that glass of water. My meal was 3/4 done when asked if all was ok. Finally got my water as I was finishing my English muffin. Staff had been through and past us several times, was heard laughing and talking with other customers, while wife and I were waiting on things like a simple glass of water. Staff did not ask if my wife wanted soup or salad with her dinner and just brought out soup. My wife does not like soup, so we had to send it back.

Every time I go to Denny's I have the same thing, because it's my ABSOLUTE favorite....I get the cinnamon bun pancake breakfast😃😃 These pancakes taste almost identical to a cinnamon bun, which I love🥰 but the do something special w/the cinnamon, somehow they make it crunchy on top of the pancakes. They make the same icing that they put on a cinnabun, & when you put it on hot pancakes...Mmmm😋 With the breakfast you get eggs any way you want, hashbrowns, & your choice of 2 bacon or sausage. For me it's the perfect combo of sweet & salty🙃🤗 You can also get the pancakes by themselves. Our server was fantastic & the restaurant was following all the proper procedures for COVID, which made us feel safe👍👍

I have spent many late nights here since college, and have even gotten on a first name basis with the occasional third shift waitress every now and then. The bathrooms could use a good cleaning every now and then, but that's my only deduction. Everything else is great!

We ate over the Christmas holiday as they were the only restaurant open. The staff was very friendly, quick, and eager to take good care of us. The food was the usual Denny's fare, which is better than a typical diner's offerings or fast food. The nice thing about Denny's is the consistancy from location to location.

Arrived very early and they were just really beginning to get everything set up for the day. They were great, coffee immediately with our chosen br e'slast soon to follow. The longer we were there the more people came in. There was only 2 waitresses, needless to say they were flying around in order to serve everyone. Went there on a Sunday evening. Usually pretty decent. But today the place looked like trash. Alot of uncleaned tables. Staff a little slow too. Quality isn't the same as it used to be. Breakfast bacon you can almost see through and breakfast sausage tasted like it was grounded up too much. If you go, pass on breakfast and try one of the lunch/dinner options :)
