Reviews of Crawdaddy's on Greenfield

From the mural’s on the building to the atmosphere on the inside you’ll definitely get hooked on the vibe. I just grabbed something quick because I was in a rush. Had the smoked honey hot wings, and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The meats were juicy, and the sauce was very flavorful with that kick that I love. In all it’s a go for me. I’ll be back to try the desserts soon.

Absolutely great experience. The service was excellent, the best service I have had in a long time. My waiter was awesome. The food was great! Cooked to perfection. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Attentive, friendly service and outstanding food! We enjoyed tasty Bloody Mary’s and Bellinis at the bar with our brunch. Highly recommend the crab dip appetizer! Meals were all excellent, good portions. So good, looks forward to another visit here!

I have lived in West Allis a little over a year and a half, today was the first time I was in this restaurant to eat. The food was absolutely delicious! The service was great! We had appetizers: alligator bites, beignets and a crab spread that was just so good. I ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collared greens. I will definitely be going back!

You can tell that it is new owners since June. But will say everything was still fresh and tasty. The hot honey dip I love with everything that needs to be dip lol. I would say that their chicken wings are big for those who doesn't like huge meat but those that don't mind get the chicken very well season and fresh. Will eat there again.

Ordered delivery. The alligator bites and sauce were good. The PO boys were authentic and good. The (spicy) red beans and rice were the best. While the ettoufee had good flavor, the seafood in it was low quality. Not even close to fresh seafood - mainly the shrimp and crawfish. They just did not taste good at all.

Birthday celebration. Reminded me of the food in New Orleans but was hoping for big platters of crayfish which they didn't have. Place is accessible to wheelchairs and it does have patio seating although it was too hot for me that day.

Yesterday, I threw my daughter a college graduation party at Crawdaddy's. The entire process of inquiring about the rental, ongoing discussions of arrangements and actual day-of measures were seamless and streamlined. Sara, the GM, was very personable, friendly and accommodating from start to finish. Because I had only been in communications with Sara, I kept asking staff if they could have Sara pop in for xyz needs. Forgetting that we had an amazing and very attentive waitress, Nikki, who was more than willing to make sure everything was running smoothly for us. Both Nikki and Sara consistently checked on us and were so kind and patient. I'm not sure of the name of the bartender who assisted the party the most, but she is a gem! The buffet of food was promptly set up, on time. The room was ready and nicely set for 30 guests (even though all 30 never showed). We were also allowed to play our own music in the room. The food was AMAZING!! We had fried chicken wings (they were huge), regular chicken pieces, waffles, greens, ribs and Mac n' cheese. Chef also made a 3 tier sheet cake that was beautiful and tasted great!! It also had real roses on it. Exceeded our expectations. Shouts out to the chef for the food spread, cake and setting it up. My daughter had SO MUCH FUN and we couldn't have pulled it off w/o Sara, Nikki, Chef and the entire staff. Guess I'll have to hang out in Crawdaddy's more often!! 😊

My wife and I stopped here on a whim to grab a quick bite before a concert. I'm so glad we stopped in! We started off with an order of the crawfish rangoon which were delicious! My wife ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and I ordered the blackened grouper and avocado BLT. The service was quick, our waitress was extremely friendly and pleasant, and the food itself was first rate! Cannot wait to come back here again!

We were in Milwaukee for a concert and were trying different fun restaurants. We did a food road trip to New Orleans one year and fell in love with Po boys. We saw Crawdaddy’s had a Po boy on their menu and decided to try. It was a great choice! The decor was fun and bright. The atmosphere was a little loud for my liking but was not distracting. I started out with the Voodoo Juice for a drink. It was Bayou Satsuma orange rum, Cruzan banana rum, Cruzan coconut rum, Cruzan pineapple rum, cranberry juice, orange juice and pineapple Juice. This sounds sweet but wasn’t. All the ingredients worked. My wife got the the Louisiana mule. This was Absolut lime vodka, Bayou Satsuma rum, Goslings ginger beer, lime juice. Great flavors all working together. We started out with frogs on a mound. 1/2 lb. of fried frog legs on top of shoestring onions rings, served with remoulade. These were meaty, cooked well and well seasoned. The fried shoestring onion rings were crispy and delicious. The remoulade sauce was amazing. I love my condiments and I would eat this on anything. My brother and sister in law got the fried alligator bites with hot honey sauce. Finding good gator is tough. These were perfectly cooked with a good texture. Not chewy at all and that sauce was a perfect combination of heat and sweet. We got a catfish Po boy and a shrimp Po boy. Both were deep fried to perfection. The bread was soft on the inside with a good crust that helped keep the sandwich together. I liked the shrimp better but wouldn’t say no if offered the catfish. My wife also wanted to try the creole shrimp and grits with andouille sausage. This is Jumbo Gulf shrimp, choice of bacon or andouille sausage, red gravy, heirloom tomatoes, and scallion. I’m not a big grits person but this was delicious and I would love at this again. My sister in law got the shellfish etouffee this is Gulf shrimp, lobster, sea scallops and crawfish tails, trinity, caramel roux and rice. This is way outside of what she normally eats but tried it. She wasn’t a big fan but my brother in law ate it and said it was delicious.
Now let’s talk service, this place could teach other restaurants how to serve customers. We sat near where the food came out. When something came out whoever was standing there would take it to the table. The meals never sat for any length of time. Our server, Jess R, was a rockstar. She knew the menu really well and answered questions quickly. She was fun and interactive. This place is a must and we will be back again.
Crystal F
Loved all of the food. The hot chicken sandwhich was incredible. Loved the cod, the ribs, alligator bites and the beef brisket. The service was very slow and the server kept touching his face. my female guest diddnt like to be touched but we will be back.
Also should be aware they put gratuity on the check without telling us or circling it on the check which is not ok
Chris Goodwin
Stopped in here on a whim. Was at the cigar bar next door and needed a bite to eat. Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich. It was good. Tho a little too much sauce for me. But still good. Fries were on point.
Lin W
It was ok. I will say the Cajun shrimp appetizer is a must try. We had the platter, and it wasn't the best meats were tender gumbo soup was good. The platter definitely wasn't worth the price . If you're feeling adventurous, try the frog legs they were ok . The sides weren't good at all . The waitress was very pleasant and can't remember her name. It's definitely not worth the $78 we spent
Ivan Carreto
I had their "Cajun Omelette" and it tasted amazing! The inside was different than a typical omelets where everything is evenly mixed. Their side of potatoes were also great with mixed sautéed onion and spinach!
Ruby Tapia
This place is amazing! I Most definitely recommend the French Dip, their Jumbo Wings were also delicious! Cant wait to come back, normally i like to try different dishes but that French Dip is calling my name 😅 …
Felix Santiago
Service was good, the fish tacos and red beans were awesome. Crab stuffed mushrooms were excellent. The BBQ Brisket sandwich was good, only issue was the sandwich was small along with the portion of fries for $15.
Taylor
How do I even begin? The decor of this establishment is simply unlike anything around the area. Friendly staff who were NOT overly aggressive (which is seriously the most amazing quality for wait staff in my opinion)
The food was simply amazing, truly a culinary experience. The croquet madam was OUT OF THIS WORLD
Each bite got more refined and more intriguing, as if the sandwich had changed my pallet as the sandwich progressed.
Will highly recommend to anyone
Keri Hanko
Great service and atmosphere. I honestly want to try everything on the menu. Went with friends got to try a bit of everything. So delicious!
chris zylka
Stacy the bartender was awesome !!! Our waiter rocked and was honest about menu items. My apologies I forgot his name. Food was solid.
Alana Retzer Brinker
Just ate here on our way home to Michigan. The food came out very promptly, which was very helpful for our trip. The service was very helpful and we were well attended to. The flavor of everything we had was impressively good. We had the crab bisque soup, creole jambalaya, and blackened cod. The jambalaya was especially excellent and full of flavor. A note is that there were a couple bites with one uncooked grain of rice, which I had to take out of my mouth, but even despite that I still recommend it bc of how rich the flavor was. The jambalaya was spicy, but perfectly so for my taste, and was worth the $19 I hesitantly spent on it. We also had the beignets, and omg they were so good. I haven't been to New Orleans in a long time, but I can't imagine they are much better there. These were crispy on the outside and doughy and full on the inside, served piping hot, with delicious strawberry sauce which complimented it very well. Other notes were: my mom thought the bisque needed some pepper, but there was no pepper shaker on the table; the ambiance of the restaurant was nice asthetically, but I would have appreciated music playing that matches the theme (creole or Cajun music).
Thom Y
Great experience tonight. Our server Eldra made the evening special. Food was great and plentiful. Will be back for sure.
Sheryl Glenn
Family get together. We reserved a room and each of us ordered from the menu. No mix ups. Everyone enjoyed their meal and dessert.
Angie Edwards
First time I was there was a month ago, our meals were SO GOOD! I took my daughter the other day and can't honestly believe I paid $18 for this very small piece of fish and little bit of rice, 1st time fish was twice the size. It'll be awhile IF I return.
Christian Cyr
Little taste of New Orleans in Milwaukee...excellent shrimp and grits...beignets are a must try... staff is friendly and accommodating.....will accept private parties
Keith Korbisch
Huge wide menu selection with many different varieties of unique dishes. All the staff is extremely friendly and make sure you are taken care of. I'm not a big spicy food person but the food was amazing most of it is Cajun or has a little zip to it but it's not overwhelming. If you are Looking for a unique delicious dining experience definitely a place to check out.
The Traveling DJ
Never disappointed!! Everything is made to order and ingredients are always fresh! Great ambiance and service! Ask for Dan as your waiter for the best service ever!
Marcelle Baker
I had a memorial here for my mother and the manager was extremely accommodating with everything. The food was delicious especially their fried chicken and macaroni. Plus they had alligator bites which were a hit as well. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to host their party or just grab a bite to eat.
Diablo Williams
The place was really nice food was good service was on point.
Garrett Muir
I drive for a food distribution company. I delivered here
Owner was a good dude kitchen was as clean as a whistle staffed with a damn army making everything from scratch. They Order nothing but the best of the best fresh meat and fish a day out of the water. Got a sample of the jambalaya and hands down the best I’ve had. Highly recommended !!!
Lily Worby
I love Cajun/creole food. Love it. So I have been super excited to try this place and indulge in the flavor profiles that makes this a truly beautiful style of food. .. while the here food was decent . It didn't really have any spark - or passion that gives you all the feels in the world when you taste the food of the bayous. The French onion soup had a very strange after taste and was happy I had only ordered a cup .. my po' boy was good. The shrimp were fried well but there was no flavor to them. My bread had a nice crust and a decent chew and it worked well for the sandwich . But there was just a plain mayo on it .. once I used the remoulade (I had ordered on the side for my fries ) it was much better and had some flavor . My bf ordered the crab chowder. It was good . Good flavor and it tasted fresh. He liked his Shellfish Gumbo . Enough so he didn't let me try any. Our server was nice with a good sense of humor . Also seemed like she liked being there at work. Restaurant was clean.. minus some art work and decor needing to be dusted.. particularly the black wrought iron .
Constance H
Service was great! The food was delicious! The feel of a Jazz Club & relaxing atmosphere. I never had beignets before. They were warm & not too sweet. We would definitely go here again!
Kathryn Humitz
This place was awesome. We stopped in for lunch during the week. It was slow but this was our first visit. The food was AMAZING! The decor and atmosphere were so unique! I really enjoyed my entire visit.
Jenny Burger
We had a great night here. The oysters on a half shell were delicious. I loved the corn crab bisque soup....so yummy !!!
We also enjoyed the company of " The One & Only James" as he made us tantalizingly awesome cocktails. Thank you Troy & Crawdaddy's.
Tim G
We may have hit an off night food wise on a random Sunday night visit. Each of our dishes came out warm including the bisque, meat dish, and catfish amoung others. Having lived in new orleans I was expecting more from the taste of the food without having to give everything a good dose of hot sauce. Cajun spice should enhance the natural flavor of the food. The ambiance has a cool jazzy feel, and the service was good although on a Sunday night it wasn't very busy. Plenty of parking. Will probably give it another try at some point.
Edward M
Yum yum yum

Omg this place is so good. My boyfriend and I have been making Tuesdays our weekly Fat Tuesday and could no travel been happier to stumble across this place. Even when I opened our takeput bag at home it smelled like New Orleans. I really want to go back and sit down. It's HUGE in this place. It wasn't too crowded either. Nice vibe. Nice and chill. The food was really good. I had a Fried Catfish Po'Boy. My boyfriend had the Creole Jambalaya. He said the chicken was a little dry but other than that the best he has had in town. We also got some Beignet because I mean who doesn't when you visit anything NOLA. And you guys they have strawberry cognac infused dipping sauce. Mouth on drool. Definitely a place to go with friends or a surprise date night during the week. Check them out y'all.
David Ernst
The service was excellent. Dennis was great and a good sport. I probably didn't order the right food because my wife and step son loved their meal. Mine was just okay.
Jake Schmidt
Great food, great drinks and great service. The only thing I'd say is for the portion size it seems a but pricey. Otherwise a very good spot.

My family and friends came to Crawdaddy's recently on an early Sunday afternoon for a special birthday celebration, with a group of about 15 people We did have reservations but without even asking we were given our own room and were able to linger for a few hours! Everything was set-up & ready for us when we arrived Our server Terry, single-handedly, did an incredible job! Everybody's orders were perfect! The food was incredible as always! I highly recommend Crawdaddy's for being able to accommodate a large group with such ease and making us all feel so comfortable!
Pamela Sonday-Swiger
We eat here about once every month or so, usually take out. A month ago my husband was on his way to pick up our order, when I was rushed to the hospital. My husband did not pick up our food, but instead came straight to the hospital. Later that evening he called the restaurant to apologize and explain. They would not let us pay for the food! They just wished me well, and told my husband to order again another time when I was recovered! So we did.
Drake Ferber
All time favorite restaurant. Every time I have family or friends come into town I take them here. I can always rely on prompt and polite service as well as the quality of the food and drinks. I highly recommend the fried catfish etoufee, alligator bites, and frog legs. Yes frog legs, I was skeptical about them at first but they are FABULOUS. The drinks are also creative and delicious. My favorite being the voodoo juice. Please try the crème brûlée, my roommate, a sous chef, told me it was the best he's ever tasted, and he's worked in France. Prices are also great for the amount and quality of food you are getting. Can't go wrong at Crawdaddy's. I don't know who's back there in the kitchen, but they deserve a medal.
Vaughn J
Decent food, just very overpriced for what you get. Seafood Étuoffée (small portion) had half a scallop, a few small chicken chunks, and some over cooked shrimp. Mostly broth. For $25 I expected more. However, cornbread was good; frog legs were good as well. Long and short, not a good value for the money spent.
Lucas Hebert
Well well well... Milwaukee has Cajun food! Not just Cajun food, but really good Cajun food. This place has a great big bar, pleasing decor and ambience, and as I said, some really good Cajun food. The seafood etouffee was very good and had plenty seafood in it. The roux was good and dark and fresh tasting everything. The only thing missing for me is boiled crawfish, but up here thats gonna cost a ton. Something like 25 dollars for 1.5 lbs?! Wow, nuts. But a great place to eat, hang out, and have an Abita beer.
Tammy Bartley
Excellent!!! Our server Dan was awesome!!! The staff was great. Treated my Son and I with respect and everyone was friendly. The food was wonderful!!! I had the Seafood Ettouffee and my Son had Chicken Fritters & Waffles. My dish was full of Shrimp, Scallops, and Lobster with every bite. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The waffles were excellent. The appetizer was the Hot Crab Dip, the best thing I ever tasted!!! The music and atmosphere fantastic. I went to the bathroom and the I immediately smelled bleach!!! Right on!!! We were there at opening and were the 2nd set of customers. They were open on time and ready to go no delay. The entire experience was wonderful and we will be going back !!!!
Camryn Gouger
Came here for a birthday dinner on a Friday night and had no wait. The food was excellent no issues and the service from Eldra was top tier. Will definitely be coming back and requesting Eldra as my server.
M H
The food here far exceeded my expectations. The gator bites and duck were amazing. I didnt think bbq sauce would go well with duck but I was wrong. The collard greens were so flavorful and the rice was good. I will definitely be back with friends
Lennie Hurdt
Beautiful New Orleans Louisiana and blues and jazz music dacor. Great Cajun dishes but a large menu if you're not into the spicy.
Laura Wojciechowski
Excellent food, decor was great! Felt like I was in the French Quarter. Jambalaya was delicious. Alligator bites too!
Dan Ball
To discover a new restaurant different from the usual, we decided to try Crawdaddy's on Greenfield. We arrived just when they opened and were warmly greeted by the hostess Deb who would also be our waitress. The decor is festive and has a New Orleans flavor. We tried the crayfish bites with a cream dipping sauce. These popcorn tails are excellent! The slightly spicy sauce is delicious. It was a good start. Ellen ordered the Maryland Crab Cakes. Another hit that came with tasty sweet potato cross cut fries. I ordered the Prime Rib Eye. The steak was one of the best, most flavorable tender generous 12 ounce steaks I have ever had. A winner! It came with wonderful mashed potatoes and haystack onions, hot, crisp and tasty. We finished with beignet donuts with a strawberry/cognac dipping sauce. These are better than the beignets I had at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. A terrific ending. I also had the Creme Brulee which is top notch. We will be back again. I will try something different next time though I really savor that great steak! The service provided by Deb was excellent with great suggestions from her. I didn't have room for the bread pudding which is highly recommended.
Josie Carini
This place offers a great variety of choices. Patron can be assured to find something to eat to please. Definitely looking forward to going back.
Robbie & Stefani Beierle
We always have a great dinner at Crawdaddys! We love the crab cakes and any scallop dish! Great local establishment!
Joey Officer
Food is good, plenty of flavor. I had the jambalaya for lunch and was pleased with my meal. Only complaint was the red beans and rice were fairly stock, nothing to write home about.
My wife ordered the poboy sandwich for lunch, she really liked hers. Traditional plate, fries included were tasty.
Service was great, food was delivered quickly and correctly. Will definitely come back for another meal.
The restaurant itself is nice and clean. They have a bar, the place is probably a good time on a Friday night.
Don Mutchler
Great southern food. Had the BBQ platter, catfish, and tuna tacos. Everything was delicious and the service was immediate. Would recommend to anyone looking for some good soul food. And for the spice junkies out there like me, they brought out a hot sauce platter that had a variety of different sauces for every pallette.
Della Kasparie
Food was hands down out of this world! As you can see our Before & After shots we took because everything looked so picture perfect...and we couldnt believe we finished it all! Service was excellent even though under pressure because they were busy...we were catered to! As you can see not one morsel left on our plates! We can't wait to revisit! Thank you so much and standing ovation to the Chef!
David Anderson
Amazing experience! It was not real busy on a Sunday night during a Packers game, and we had great food and great service. The Shellfish Gumbo and Crab Cakes were great, and I could have eat a dozen of the broiled oysters if I had ordered that many. Finishing off with beniets was a perfect way to end a New Orleans meal. I will definitely return!
Steven Kramer
Great atmosphere. Like being in New Orleans cafe. Great food. Classic cajun food. I personally had the Po Boy with blackened shrimp. Very very tasty. Potato salad was good too. My girlfriend had the fish tacos. She complimented the sauce. I am looking forward to coming back for dinner. A bit pricey for lunch. Also they have a daily special menu.
Jennifer Hill
Food was absolutely great. I had a crab dip appetizer was i thought bit pricey but tasted wonderful
Lisa Thur
Excellent. Better Jambalaya than New Orleans. Excellent house salad and gator bites. Great atmosphere and our waiter Dan was great too. I wish you were in Madison. : )
Zoraya Gonzalez
Excellent customer service!!! The food and the drinks were delicious!! Would definitely go back!!! Great atmosphere!!!
Alicia McGowan
I tried crawdaddy's for the first time and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The salmon was great. My only complaint is that I don't eat pork and pork was in most of the sides that I originally wanted. It would be great if the sides came with no meat or either turkey. Otherwise the service was great and the atmosphere was serene.
Steven Floyd
A taste of New Orleans in Milwaukee. This attractively decorated restaurant has a sizable menu with many cajun favorites. The crawfish appetizer was very flavorful and well spiced. My sampler plate of blackened catfish, rice and beans, and gumbo was generous in size, and perfectly prepared. The waitress was exceedingly friendly, and attentive to refills and all requests. A great lunch!!
Keith K.
I was impressed by the food and drinks so afterwards I went for a walk around and I found that the owner had a collection of blues guitarist memorabilia. It was very impressive! there was a BB King guitar in a case and a Stevie Ray Vaughan guitar that was signed both of them very very interesting I am definitely going back...
J B
Fantastic Lunch here and they helped us celebrate our cousins birthday parties!
Paul Stratman
Great food, drinks, dessert and service by Nicole A. Will visit again!

Took my niece there before she moved to Florida I'm so glad she suggested it will go there again
Stephanie Drews
Amazing oysters! Very delicious food. They were able to offer me dairy-free options like frog legs, gumbo, oysters, sweet potato fries. Everything outstanding!
Y'naffit R
First time there. Dan was our server and was really cool and helpful with our decision making of food choices.
Sooya xyooj
Love this place! Everything about it is fantastic! If you're looking for creole food. This place is it!
D B
Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night following the boat show at State Fair Park. The restaurant was packed so I took a seat at the bar. There are such a variety of Cajun dishes offered here it was a challenge to decide what to eat. I ultimately ordered their Jambalaya; a mixture of andouille sausage, smoked ham, chicken, shrimp, crawfish, peppers and onions in a tomato based stew, and served over white rice. It was the best I've ever eaten! The service was great; very friendly staff. I will definitely return.
Raven Carroll
Yesterday was the first time I have ever been to Crawdaddy's and the meals reccomened by John were out of this world! The staff made me feel very welcomed and I was treated with respect and dignity. I love this place and will be back again to try the shrimp and grits! #PutItOnYourBucketList!
Dan Murphy
I've never been to a place where everything was great. Recommend the Jambalaya (2020).
I can't believe we waited two years to come back, but Crawdaddy's continues to be a fantastic experience! From the service to the atmosphere to the food. Everything was top notch. Our server Daniel hear that it was my birthday and the next thing I knew my name was on the bill board outside.
The drinks were amazing, from the Voodoo to the Hurricanes. They also have some local Slidell Abita beer on tap!
Then the food came, sweet baby Jesus the food. Everyone ordered a side and suddenly were were all swapping bites of everything. Fantastic! It was all Fantastic!
Sabrina Thorpe
Loved this place! Went for a friend's birthday gathering and I'm not a big sea food fan, but there was something in the menu for everyone. My pork chop was the best one I've ever had in my life and the onion rings and mashed potatoes were to die for. Loved the atmosphere too!
Masauko Lipato
I really enjoyed my experience here as it was my first time. The food was plentiful and delicious. The staff was friendly and courteous, I will certainly be returning to work my way down the menu.
chris libbey
The service was pretty poor. But maybe like most restaurants are having trouble getting help. The food was good but we didn't get what we asked for till about 20 minutes after we asked for it. So I didn't have salsa with my taco. And no bread with my orders. Pretty disappointed and all.
Nicole Krakow
Large dining area. Waitress was attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic. Great hurricanes.
Rebecca Knox Captain Save A Home (Captain Save A Home)
I saw Troy's reply in Milwaukee Foodie and his helpful spirit made me put it in my calendar to order corned beef today as they sell it by the pound. We also ordered Rueben Sandwiches and bread pudding. Everything was delicious. I am not sure who the two guys were working today but my husband was highly entertained by them and thought they were funny and friendly. We will definitely be coming in when the pandemic ends.
ROBB MURPHY
I had the Jambalaya and loved it great taste will be back. Try the Gator bites in sauce. Tell em Dr John sent yaul.
Lexie
Service was good, the catfish Po boys is a good choice here, and the gumbo was just ok!
Amy Wadel
Great food, fun atmosphere. The blackened scallops and grits are definitely my favorite item on the menu!
Cindy Freeman
Ordered surf and turf. Good tasting food with a great presentation (added gravy and au jus.) Asparagus perfectly done. Steak done to order--was extremely soft. Was a bit salty for me, but not inedible and gravy helped cut salt in potatoes. Good service.
Cassie H
Portions were generous and everything we all tried (Southern Fried Chicken, Prime Rib, and Cajun Pasta) was delicious! We also tried the gumbo, ox tail soup, french onion soup, and crab dip which were all tasty as well. We will be back!
Greg B
Great spot for southern/creole/cajun. Went in for lunch and the food was awesome and totally reasonably priced. Had the jambalaya and French onion soup which were both exactly how I wanted them. Would definitely reccomend this place. Plus, 2 for 1 happy hour on most drinks!
Kim Wischer
Food was great! Atmosphere always great! Couldn't ask for anything better :)
Michael Arkens
everything we have tried so far (18 different food items) has been very good.
prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.
staff are friendly and responsive.
drink selection is very good with some wonderful signature cocktails.
allergy concerns were addressed and a portion question was corrected.
Wendy makes outstanding old fashioneds
we get there at least once a month.
Ana
The staff were nice and the place was clean. The food is what I didn’t like. I ordered the pulled pork. It was sweet then it had a vinegary after taste. Also, my first time tasting collard greens it was good until I reached the bottom it was a sweet taste and again very vinegary taste. The rice and beans had a good taste. I ate here in the past and it seems like they changed the menu and the taste of the food. Will probably not come back.
Christine Taylor
Reserved the Garden room for my moms birthday celebration. Service was great, everyone was extremely nice, and very attentive. Best part was the food. We ordered several appetizers, fried green tomatoes, beignets, oysters and alligator bites - all amazing. The kids got a kick out of eating alligator. I had the ribs and gumbo for dinner - highly recommend both. We can’t wait to go back.

The atmosphere and the service was explicit real down on the Bayou. The food was okay not everyone season there masterpieces to make it more remarkable or maybe my taste buds need more convincing. (More season less sugar) But all in all I was satisfied and will visit this place again in the future.
Andrew Becker
Went in for a quick lunch the other day and it was fast service and an awesome server (Dan I think was his name, guy with the beard and ponytail). He took the time to ask questions, make suggestions, and was very genuine in making sure I was enjoying my meal. Grouper BLT is amazing and their oysters on the half as well as soups are the highest quality.
Prices are more than cheap, but less than pricey. I'd gladly pay 20-30% more for the quality of food, service, and atmosphere.
Lauren Fistler
My boyfriend and I went here for lunch today. We had the oysters (6 of them) for an appetizer. We had a few drinks and then had the shrimp and grits for an entree! Everything was so good! Our server, Teresa, was fabulous! Definitely recommend checking this place out!!

Came here solo. Wanted a nice sit down meal before I walked over to my tattoo appointment a block east.
Ordered the Crab & Corn Bisque and the Chicken & Biscuits (and gravy) brunch.
Everything seemed reasonably priced. The total came to $17, not including what I tipped. My server was this nice older lady, very no-nonsense and friendly. Came to check on me a few times but mostly left me to my own devices which I really appreciated because I just wanted some down time to read a book on my phone.
The vibe I felt overall here was family. They seem to have regulars and a familiar rapport with their customers which made me content to bask in from afar. The wait staff seemed to be such a nice team from their cajoling and banter, but it didn't impede on their efficiency as servers.
And the food was FANTASTIC. The bisque was tasty and hearty with generous chunks of crab. The fried chicken--you can tell they make it in house and it was fried to perfection. Not too salty and perfectly crispy. And the biscuits!!!
Most biscuits and gravy I order, the biscuits are crumbly and the gravy is salty and heavy and both quickly become an amalgamated, soggy mess.
THESE BISCUITS were perfectly moist and bouncy without compromising structure. And the gravy lay on top heavenly. Seriously the best biscuits I've ever had.
100/10 would come here again for the quality of food and service. I'm so happy to have found this place and will definitely be returning with friends.
Monique Kennedy
The food and the service that our waitress Terry gave us was amazing! We enjoyed several of the dishes and the portions were generous to say the least. We look forward to going back and trying something new. If your looking for superior New Orleans cooking this is definitely the place!!!!
Ms.Z
The best fried chicken! Came out steaming hot. Happy hour prices were buy one get one .
Steve Hunsader
Loving the idea that Milwaukee has an authentic Cajun Restaurant in its back yard. I'm from out of the area, and gave this a try thinking that "Even Close" would be a good thing. Since the portions are generous, we decided to order only what we wanted: Beignets, Alligator Bites, and a single piece of fried catfish ( as the waiter suggested, it's on the menu). Oh, and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale to complement the food. This is my second time here, almost one year apart, same good food, and looking forward to attending again.
Carole Montgomery
We had great gumbo, great red beans and rice, yummy beignets ( on appetizer and dessert lists😏), lots of choices for wine or beer. Fast and attentive service. One of us will eat nothing interesting so they made him a regular hamburger even though not on the menu.
Jd Music
Awesome food! Great staff. Favorite eat-in or take out!
Luis Baez
The food and service is great and nice bourbon list.
Justtt Miracle
This place was awesome! Me and my mom went here the service was great, and the food was amazing! They didn’t disappoint at all 10/10 definitely will try again!
Prosperity 555
My husband took me here for my birthday. It had a very relaxed vibe and amazing food. The hot crab dip was my favorite item.
Ryan Lese
Great place as it always has been. Food was great and plenty of drink choices. Very fast service as well. You'll spend a little more than other places but it's well worth it. We will be back soon for sure.
Ola Summers
The food was well seasoned, nice portion size and inexpensive.
Kristine Kohnert-Rosalez
Great service. 1st time here. Enjoyed NOLA themed food.
shaunell morgan
The restaurant was really nice and clean. Playing great music...and the FOOD!! DELICIOUS! I found myself cleaning my plate with my bread🙄 …
Michelle “Ms Shell” Woodley
The food was Good! But, our waiter Dan was GRrrrrrrreat!!! Excellent service.
Meghan van Ommeren
The waitress was very patient and kind to us for coming in at 7pm on a Tuesday with quite a fairly big party. Drinks came out on time and food. Food was always warm and well cooked.Tasted delicious. Highly recommend the crab bisque soup! My husband got the duck and said it tasted delicious. Nice atmosphere too!
Kathy Massmann
Surprisingly large dining areas with beautiful black and white photos of famous guitar artists. Excellent food, great staff.
Brittany Strozier
Maggie was amazing!! Food was delicious as usual! We always have a good time here and the service never disappoints!!! We will definitely be back especially to visit Maggie!!
Ron Fauser
Southern Fried chicken was very good. Biscuits needed more gravy. Too dry for my palate.
Bill P
My friends and I came to this well known place with high hopes. It's a shame that we were let down. We will give it another shot at some point, but we could tell that something was amiss when everything we had ordered tasted like something was missing.
Matthew crampton
I really enjoyed the restaurant. The carrots are really great. The sour dough bread is very good. I had grouper oscar which was excellent. Service was great. Atmosphere was really neat. When I come back to Milwaukee I will certainly come again.
Camille Rhodes
The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was nice. Loved the decor! Much bigger and brighter than their old place.
Jennifer Bryant
Terry our server was amazing! She was friendly, attentive, gave great suggestions and we had a lot of fun with her! The food was delicious! The crab cakes were good and chicken fried to perfection!
We will be returning again!
Julia Mach
My boyfriend and I went on a date Saturday night. We had passed by a couple of times before, but never dined there before. We were served by Jessie who was an absolute delight. She made some great recommendations for us including hot crab dip, shellfish gumbo, seafood tacos, and beignets. It was all delicious and we will definitely be coming back again. Thanks!
Eduardo Alvarez
Daniel was amazing, gave some great recommendations. Everything was delicious. Ordered some food to go as well. The Fried Chicken was very good, nice and crispy on the outside and so juicy on the inside. First time here and will defiantly make this place a regular. Thank you.
gary porath
Had an amazing meal at Crawdaddys on Greenfield Friday night. Started in bar area, drinks were great, Bartenders were friendly and such fast service. Our meals started with the oysters and they were the best I’ve had. We had the jambalaya and fish fry. Service was outstanding. We will be going to this restaurant frequently in the future.
Shawn Durbin
They accommodated our group of 5 no problem, the service was great. Our waitress gave opinions when asked about certain items, & even offered samples to help with our choices. The menu was full of multiple options, one of our group is actually from Louisiana, & she approved! Lol! My full rack of baby back ribs were amazing! The bones slid right out, perfectly seasoned & juicy without being greasy! I definitely recommend this restaurant, & will certainly be back!
Yu-Hsien Ho
Food here is absolutely delicious. I ordered the seafood etouffee and the flavor was there, with just a bit of spice. There were large shrimps, small shrimps, crawfish meat, two whole crawfish, fish of some kind, and bay scallops in this etouffee. The ingredients were very fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly done. Food came out quick. The server seemed to be new and messed up my friend's order. He ordered the blackened salmon but she wrote down blackened catfish. He ate the catfish and said it was delicious. Sweet carrots were on point too. And a great drink special posted near the entrance. Would recommend.
Andrew Torcivia
This is by far one is my favorite restaurants! The staff is inviting, great bar with select drinks is your want them and the food is amazing. From shrimp and grits to frog leg...it's all good. Or one of my favorites which is the roastes duck! This place does not disappoint.
Cheryl Andres
Want something a little different? Try Cajun food at Crawdaddy's. So good! Great service and large portions mean you might have lunch for the next day. But it's so delicious, you might just finish it on the spot! Make sure you try the beignets!
K. Eastburn
Wendy the barmaid, is the best!!.
Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the food.
Escargot was bla.
Served in undercooked mushrooms.
Combo platter:
Brisket was sliced so thin you could read a paper through it.
It was dry, overcooked and covered with BBQ sauce.
NEVER cover good Brisket in BBQ sauce.
I see why they did.
Sausage was WAY overcooked and dry.
Ribs were good.
But, they do a nice happy hour and Wendy is a awesome bartender.
If I was still in the business, she would be working for me!!.
Wendy gets 5 ☆
The rest gets 2☆
TJ Kearney
I'd have to say that this was a good experience despite the fact that the gumbo was pedestrian at best. Which makes me sad to say because everything else from the oxtail which I got because I was disappointed in the gumbo, to the soup I got the crab and the Crawfish was on point everything was really really good accept the thing I came for. With that said even with that monumental disappointment, the excellent customer service, exceptional atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant, and stellar Mill outside of my main course oh, my wife's mail was great too. She had the waffle and chicken. But everything else was great so I cannot in good conscience give this restaurant less than 4 stars even though my main meal was subpar.
Jason O
great place to sit down and have a nice creole lunch. great food and pleasent staff
Lisa Wittbrot
I have not been to Crawdaddy's in 10 years. Food was good, service decent on a busy Saturday night. Hot crab dip was lukewarm. Entrees were both good. Ordered scallops & grits and brisket platter.
Aalliyah
Service was good, food and drinks were delicious! Blackened fish, yes!!
jarnita crosby
Man listen! Them chicken wings are large and the hot honey sauce all over them was outstanding and delicious. The voodoo juice was great! As well as the shellfish pasta, soooo good I didn’t bother to take pictures lol. I danced in my seat the entire time I was eating. I will be coming back! Thank you Michelle T!!
Mike Kolve
Enjoyed our lunch here. Portions on the smaller side for the price. Friendly waitress that was very social
Dee O'Neill
Excellent service! Nice atmosphere. Everything was delicious, seasoned well but not too spicy. By far the best shrimp & grits I've ever had, give them a try you won't regret it!
Ann McKillip
Had a wonderful dinner! We had the French onion and crab bisque soups, both were delicious. Jumbolyia and blackened cod were our main dishes, great flavors and seasonings on both and generous portions. Pecan pie a la mode was heavenly! Great atmosphere and decor. Can't wait to go back!
Parker Mindermann
Went to have lunch Wednesday around 1 and it wasn't busy at all. My server Dustin and I had great conversation about some games that we shared a common interest with. Ordered the jambalaya, and it was amazing. I enjoyed the atmosphere of Crawdaddys and it was overall an amazing experience. I would recommend this place to almost everyone who would listen. Great place for food!
Musicnut1965
We've always enjoyed coming to Crawdaddy's. The food and atmosphere are fantastic and the staff always takes good care of us.
Tim Drury
Good service. Food, so so. I had frog legs and they tasted like they were pehaps getting a little spoiled. The French onion soup sucked. They put so many croutons under the cheese that it was like eating a mess of wet bread rather than soup.
Leona “Lela”
I visited crawdaddy’s august 1, 2021 with a group of friends. I ordered the chicken and waffles, they were fantastic the 4 small waffles were crispy outside and tender inside. The chicken (breast with wing attached plus an additional wing) was hot and crispy on the outside; tender and juicy on the inside. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was pleasant and easy going.
Quincy Hoard
Thank you Dustin R and your wonderful team for the wonderful experience at crawl Daddys tonight, the service was amazing but more than that the food was spectacular off the chain downright heavenly. Again thank you Dustin R for being our server tonight I and my friends will never forget you or the establishment crawl Daddy's thanks guys. You get a five star rating because it the highest rating allowed. “ Just Wonderful “.
Crill Evans
I feel like the French onion soup could have had a little more depth of flavor. I enjoyed the frog legs a lot, it was my first time tasting them. The fried green tomatoes were alright I'm just not a fan of the sauce. I was apprised to find out that they charged an 18% gratuity for a table of 3 that were all paying separately. I would eat there again.
Noel Fell
Had a great lunch w my daughter. We both tried things we never had but always wanted to...frogs legs, hush puppies and oxtail soup. They were all delicious. We even shared some with the neighboring table, whom also seemed to be having a great time and enjoying their lunch also. The wait staff was on point, friendly and polite( Alexandra, without the I, her smile reach her eyes). A great first impression. Can't wait till I go again.
Charlie Goersch
Far and away this is the BEST cajun in the whole state. It is a long time family favorite and will remain as such for as long as they are open. Best jambalaya this side of Marcie Shelton's home made!!!!!
Ada Harmon
A little expensive, but the service makes up for it. My service name was Terry and it was my daughter's birthday. She was wonderful. We had a party of about 14 people. I want to say thank you to Craw Daddy's.It was a beautiful place, I will be coming back.
Sincerely,
Ms. Ada. Harmon
Stephen Marcsisak
I've had authentic Cajun food and this place did not disappoint. Short wait for a table (no reservation on a Saturday). Service was fantastic, attentive, and friendly, especially considering our waitress also appeared to be working as a hostess. Food was great, and the banana bourbon cake is amazing. I will be back for sure.
Neu Drewski
Very Louisiana-esqe place, fun to eat here& wonderful menu.
Sharlene McFarland
Very satisfied with the food everything was really good customer service was great
Regina Lewis
First time dining at Crawdaddys food was good! I ordered shell fish gumbo and side maple collard greens with pork was great. Waitress Terry was very knowledgeable of the menu dishes and friendly!
Dean Leffler
Great food (very good). Cool atmosphere. Sweet bar. Nice servers. Reasonable prices. All around a good time.
Staci Lynn
Oh lord it must be hard to be humble when you make food this great! Soul satisfying awesomeness! Our fried chicken with maple greens and mashed potatoes, there’s no picture this time because it was way too tasty and was eaten ferociously, our seafood etouffee and crab and corn chowder, same deal, amazing!
Ann King
100% Good eats! Fried chicken hits the spot, the nods to NOLA are delicious. Service is great at the bar or at a table. Music is always festive - terrific live music nights too.
Shanice Moore
Gaile was a very respectful and patient waitress. She had excellent offerings about food selections and helped us figure out what we wanted. Gaile is an incredible waitress and should be awarded for her enthusiasm and customer service experience! Great job Gaile 👏🏽 …
Randy Ball
The atmosphere was very nice. The food was GREAT. Service good too. If you are in the area make sure to visit this place.
Bri Nash
Honestly if I could give this place a million star review I would. The food was absolutely amazing and service was incredible. I can’t wait to come back. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some good New Orleans style food. The live music was amazing as well.
Dan Stapinski
Amazing place, friendly staff and great food. If I'm in the area again I'll be sure to come back
Yashima Gardner
I was there with family & friends on Saturday. We had a good time. A really nice atmosphere. The drink I ordered was good. I also ordered food. The Fried Green Tomatoes & Shoestring Onion Rings was DELICIOUS. The only issue I had was the Fried Catfish Etouffee. It was not good to me. The manager was nice to charge me half price on the bill. I appreciated that. I would return. Thank you Crawdaddy!
Violet Barrs
In my opinion some of the menu items are real hits. Others are misses. But the vibe is nice and our waitress was excellent. If the restaurant didn't include gratuity in the bill, she would have gotten a great tip.
Jamaica Bynum
I love this place!!Dan wasn't there this week he's a great server. The food is always exceeds my expectations as always. If you're looking for a New Orleans style food this place is NUMBER ONE on my list.
Matt Lynch
Awesome food, exceeded expectations. Better then the original I wish I would have not waited to try it as long as I did. 6 meals all exceeded expectations.
T Henderson
Service good and food delicious hood time.
Watyne Greer
My second time going here. Bad experience the first time. Came with my mom and my bestfriend and we all order but ask for separate bill. So we were each charged a 18% gratuity because our "table" bill was $100 or more. I never had a problem tipping. I normally tip 20% but it's base upon the service I recieve. The French onion soup was blend, the frog legs were good as well as the alligator bites. Even the fried green tomatoes was nasty. I guess I need to stop going when they first open and don't come with anyone or we make sure that the "table bill" isn't $100 or more. I was so excited to get here and was let down.
Jerri von den Bosch
Omg a REAL MARYLAND CRABCAKE!!!!!! I can verify this crab cakes authenticity and yummy taste; in from Baltimore! I know. This was PERFECT!!!
Megan Linscott
My husband and I ate here for our anniversary. We didn’t make reservations, but weren’t in any hurry. They told us about a 20 minute wait so we went to the bar to wait. They only had two bartenders and the bar was FULL! You could tell the bartenders were trying their best, but they were swamped. About 40 minutes later, we got our table. Again, no big deal because we weren’t in an hurry. It took awhile for our server to approach us, but a hostess and another server made sure we had drinks and water. We finally had our server, Dan, approach us and he was super nice. It wasn’t his fault he had a full table, plus many others. Between the two dining rooms, they had 5 servers. They were all hustling and they were trying their best to keep up. Dan was an amazing server. Even through the craziness, he checked in with us, took some pictures for us, and even offered us free dessert, which he definitely didn’t have too! The food was also amazing! We had the frog legs and Parmesan broiled oysters to start. Both absolutely amazing! My husband had the scallops and grits while I had the shellfish and gumbo. We took our beignet desserts to go. Everything was delicious! We had zero complaints about the food. While Dan was running around taking care of the huge table he had, another server jumped in to help out which was awesome to see great teamwork. The food and drinks are amazing! Just wish they wouldn’t overwork their servers so much and had more people on staff to help out!
Jeff Nicholson PhD, PA-C
Great Food and Superb Service! After our second time here, I had to write a review. We went at 7 on a Saturday night and the place was busy, no 30 minute wait if we were willing to eat at tables in the bar area. So we did. Chris the bartender promptly provided drink and food menus and became our waiter as well. Wife had Crab Bisque and I had French Onion Soup and onion strings. Both were outstanding. My onion soup probably had a half pound of mozarella baked on top. Chris was very attentive and at least two other wait staff attended to us as well, they also brought hot hard rolls and butter, no charge. House cabernet was delicious and both tap and bottled beer selection was plentiful. I cannot say enough about the teamwork and friendliness of the staff - it was so refreshing, from entering the door to leaving the staff genuinely wanted to make sure we had a great experience. We will be back many times I am sure. Can't wait to try the Friday Fish Fry!
Kevin Kollmann
Good food...small portions... little pricey.
Alicia Sullivan
First time here will definitely be coming back. The food and service were both fantastic. Ordered the seafood tacos, which were amazing. Husband had the bbq platter and everything was great. Even the kids menu (which many places seem to cut corners when it comes to the kids menu) was delicious.
Shannon Coan
Always a good time. Great food and drinks. Nice staff.
Kim Prott
One of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time. Called for reservations and they were very nice. From the time we walked in the door everyone was super friendly. Very nice server, good drinks, crab dip was awesome and dinner was phenomenal. Finished with pecan pie and creme brulee.
felicia turner
Waitress was very nice & pleasant, place was very nice & clean, my catfish didn't have enough season, the greens tasted like sugar, & to me they over price you for the little bit of food you do receive.
c e
Terry, our server, was welcoming, friendly and soooo funny! The food was superb and the atmosphere is great. Great place for family dinner outings. We will be back again.
M K
Stopped in for lunch and have to say the french dip was the best I have ever had. The staff was nice, attentive, and friendly through out my time there. If there is one place that makes you feel welcome, it's this place.
Tempestt Ballenger
I had a very specific craving for lobster Mac and they did NOT disappoint me. I’ll be back to try more sooner rather than later I can assure you! Easy to order off Ubereats as well. It’s always a pleasure finding good seafood so I’ve marked this place down on my list for good Cajun food!
lee econom
This place has to b the Crown Jewel of West Allis. A real F N pearl of the city. The food is straight fire. Don’t be afraid to jump outta your comfort zone. Get the ox tail soup, slurp down some mussels, make some gator bites your b$&@h!
Madeline Harrison
Awesome service! Amazing food! So glad we went out of our way to try this today. I highly recommend this great spot. Nothing was too spicy it was so perfectly seasoned and such a variety of flavors 😋 …
Katherin Melvin
Amazing place! Went there two weekends in a row because the drinks and food are delicious! I have a two year old and the staff is wonderful with him. Highly recommend.
M S
The best frog legs this side of the Mason Dixon line and beignets with a incredible cogniac infused strawberry sauce that just melt in your mouth (pictured here). Our server Niki was a saint, serving our party of 9 with energy and ☆~Pizazz~☆. The food was delicious and the staff were timely and courteous. I'll be back just for the Voodoo Juice 😁
Dan Miller
Great service. Was refreshing to see a menu like this outside of the south. Reminded me of my trip to New Orleans
Mace Watson
Came for lunch. Service was great. Atmosphere was nice lights were at a good level. Music playing overhead was at a acceptable level and of appropriate style. Ordered the fried shrimp Po-boy with sweet potato fries. Portion was just right for lunch. Shrimp on the sandwich was just slightly breaded and that's a good thing. Dressing for the sandwich was nice and not over powering regardless of how much you put on. Server was friendly and very informed of the menu. Great place will come back again.
Liz Franck
The food and the staff are excellent. Our favorite is the seafood gumbo.
We like to sit at the bar. Wendy is an excellent bartender and is very attentive.
Mike Lipinski
The food was delicious! Tried the crawfish beignets, incredible. Gail was a great server, very attentive and helpful for some first time customers!
Stu Weisberg
This is a secret jewel on the SW side. A good smattering of cajun and creole and 50's-era rock, blues and jazz legends. Hurricanes on the weekend are big and $9. We had 2 orders of jambalaya - delicious. The shrimp were actually too large as there were inconsistencies (one had 6 shrimp, one had 2). The other minor complaint is they could be more generous with the biscuits.
If this place suffers from one thing, is that it hasn't decided if it's a family place, a bar, or a high-end cajun restaurant. For cajun, they have no competition for miles. I'd love to see them try $20-30 dishes like et toeffes, and flaming desserts like bananas foster.
You've gotta try this place. Seriously. I can't remember the last time I was excited about a Milwaukee restaurant
Jeani Patek
The voodoo juice was pretty good and I enjoyed the beignets though they were a little over done but the sauce it's paired with still took it over the top. The greens were amazing as were the mashed potatoes. I'd recommend any of their desserts. The gator bites were also good.
B King
OMG we ( my fiancée n I ) ate so great. She had the frog legs that taste like chicken with a fishy aromatic. I had the JUMBO chicken wings that were fried to perfection we both shared the cajun oyster's that were so delicious. I had the bbq sampler of course I couldn't finish it but I tasted everything and it was so tender cornbread was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. She had the catfish etouffee her only complaint was the catfish wasn't seasoned enough. Other than that we are looking forward to our left overs. Good service (waitress Linda) and its nice to see the place busy. So welcome back Craw Daddys on Greenfield. We'll be back!
Matthew Mitchell
Had a wonderful experience here. The frog legs were DELECTABLE, just wonderful! Jambalaya was a big hit, as well as those tantalizing beignets!
Daniel Posbrig
Excellent variety of hot sauces to go with their menu. The fried alligator was tasty, not chewy. Jambalaya was flavorful.
Robert Brunkalla
Pleasantly surprised to find this place. There were five of us, each had something different and we all enjoyed our meal. Atmosphere was pleasant and server was attentive but not hovering. Only negative comment is the fish fry was only one piece of fish
Dee Stakz
Fried Green Tomatoes......Seasoned to perfection!!😋 …
wendy rhinewine
Best bloody marys, and eggs benny i have ever had...will see u next sunday crawdaddys...keep up the great work
Libby Peterson
Went here with 6 others for my birthday and all of us were extremely impressed! My food was delicious and my boyfriend said his salmon was the best he's ever had! Can't wait to go back.
John Budish, Jr.
Surprisingly good! This place moved to a new location a few years back. This was my first visit to this spot. When Crawdaddys first opened you could wait for an hour plus. While the buzz is not like that in this location much of the food is equal to what created that original buzz. Really solid Cajun influence that did not disappoint.
They have added some smoked options and some variations on popular themes. Our party tried none of these.
The food was good and the service was very accommodating. Definitely worth a try.
sharon rafalski
The fun part was we were Party of Five the waitress never wrote anything down even though we substituted things. She got all our meals r i g h t it was a little noisy but it was a Friday night
P Spearman
service, hospitality, atmosphere, ambiance 10 stars!! Lots of social space, bar, modern, music theme with personalities of amazing waiter to match. accommodation already set for larger groups, rental space avail for events, can stand up and move around without disturbing others, Different rooms for different social settings. Love the back room with ambiance looks modern with New Orleans theme. Have Parking!! Food wasn't as 5 star as expecting. southern cuisine emphasis is always on being well done. We call it bubbly/bubblin' brown. Corn bread should be brown, crab cakes should be brown with crisp not soft, greens were sweet (they should taste more like cabbage but seasoned). oxtails bland and wrong flavor, they need to change that broth flavor. macaroni more gourmet than southern. Also one ticket for larger groups is a pain trying to divide the bill. Allow everyone to pay on their own at register on their way out with 18% gratuity is fine on each bill. Thats a big part of the total experience, ease and convenience of billing. That was a pain point for us. One person ended up putting a $600 bill on his card and having to ask money from individuals as they only take 1 card. Maybe a portable card slider so they can take each card individually at the table? Not sure.
Food adjustments and easier billing experience for larger groups would make this place 10 star great!
Staff amazing, clean, modern, great 👍
Good nite
Amazing food.. great atmosphere.. great New Orleans feeling.. I wanted to try everything on the menu but there was only 8 of us so I tried everything that was ordered and not one complaint from anyone.. will definitely be going back.. Dan was a amazing server.. THANK YOU DAN!!!!
Joel
First, the fried chicken was delicious. Hot, juicy and the breading/skin was awesome. Most people in our party liked their food. It just took forever to get any service (you should not have to wait 20 minutes for a drink - people eventually ended up walking up to the bar). I was part of a birthday party and reservations were made earlier in the week. A couple of notes to management: 1) knowing you have a large party, get more than one server (the guy was serving the entire back room that had full tables with other parties), 2) Don't make excuses to customers, just hustle and make things right (multiple drinks and appetizers never showed up). 3) When you see your lone server struggling, jump in and help (we saw him come over to the manager and sternly tell her to help run food - she did). Pull your hostess, give her a notepad and get her to run food and check on drinks. That being said, I will give it another chance. The food was great. Tighten up the service and this "new" place will be a hit.
Tracy L
The food was AMAZING!!!!! Our server Eldra was very attentive and made sure we were satisfied! The atmosphere was great from music to lighting. We will definitely make this a regular stop whenever we come through!!!!!
Nick Dorshorst
I was very happy when they re-opened. I missed this place a lot. I went on a Friday, right when they open for dinner, before the crowds come in. They always have had a waiting time, if you don't get there right away. We got seated right away and the people are very pleasant and the waitress we had was very nice and answered any questions we had. I we had the Crawtails for an appetizer and they are just as good as they always have been, very excellent. Then I had the twin steaks with shrimp on top of angel hair pasta. It was hot and tasted great. My girlfriend had the blackened catfish, which was also very good. You pay a bit for the food, but I think it is worth the money, for the flavors I don't find any other place in Milwaukee. Remember, expect an hour or two wait if you go during a busy time, it fills up fast. I can't speak to the bar, since we just had soda. The menu had many of the items they previously had, and new items as well.
Ric Villegas
First off the food & drinks are way great , friendly & efficient staff that maintains SD protocol. Large dining areas & huge bar that serves great specialty drinks. Very cool decor featuring blues artist's signed instruments. Very clean establishment that made us feel safe about dining in. Will mos def return !
Kimmy Cakes
Omg I'm addicted. I had fish from other places... This catfish fish bomb af!!! I also had the jambalaya and red beans and rice... I'm addicted. I just moved out here and I see there is not many blackish restaurants with flavor. I mean seasoned!!!! If you like flavor and good customer service this is it! It reminds me of being down south.
Martha Torres
Overall pretty good, I love their collard greens and Mac ñ cheese. A nice place to go on a first date or with a group of people. I like the fact that they have raffles.
Debbie Westphal
My husband and I met our grandaughter here before her graduation. We enjoyed our dinner very much. The food was the best we've had in a long time. Our waitress was one of the best!!
Barbie “Bay-Bay” Dunn
Well first hot and fresh just my first time via Uber Eats the greens was too sweet I was thinking just maple bacon I like savory greens the Chicken cooked perfect but a little heavy on the salt. Everybody taste buds is different so definitely I do understand the good reviews but the recommendation was seafood it's worth the try so I'm not giving up. Packed well overall and okay meal. Side options could've been.. I'm classic like 🌽👀 or different variations there of.

Went there today with my family, the waitress assumed I was pregnant after I ordered a drink with no alcohol which I was not so it made the rest of the experience extremely uncomfortable. Bloody Mary was not good, other than that food was great.
Mary Aprahamian
Went on Mother's Day.They were short a waitress! This is one of the busiest holiday beside's Thanksgiving.Food was awesome, however there were no bus boys! I felt bad for our waitress as she hustled the best she could. She could not give us the service due to being short that day. However,I hear there's no regular bus boys! C'mon, the bus boys help with clearing & water.Let some 16 year old bus & help with the dining experience!

I'm from the Dallas-Fort Worth area...although I grew up here in Milwaukee, I was visiting my parents and I'm always looking for a great place to eat. This place was very good. Upon entering the restaurant, the decor was extremely nice and clean. Very spacious with enough room for an individual in a wheelchair as my mom does not walk. For an appetizer, we ordered Calamari with plum sauce. ..the sauce was delicious. For our main entree, we ordered blackened Duck with garlic mashed potatoes vs. the pasta that ordirnarily comes with it and the blackened catfish with rice. Both were absolutely fantastic and cooked to perfection. The waitress (Margaret) that waited on us was nice and very accommodating. I'd highly recommend this place especially if you like Cajun food or Louisiana style cooking. Definitely a thumbs up!
Amanda Cole
Darius, our server, was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals! We’ll be back!

The food was amazing!! I’ve been wanting to eat here for a while and glad we stopped in!!! Teresa was an amazing host server and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied!!! We will definitely be back!!!!
Whit Henning
Must go!!! Food is amazing.. I live an hour away and ill be returning soon...
Jeff Cockerham
Catfish etoufee and corn chowder with crab were amazing as always. Grilled oysters were a little disappointing. Was expecting the garlic/paremesan/butter mix like ACME Oyster Bar in NOLA. Finally, while our waitress was pleasant, I found adding a gratuity on a party of two (and not telling us) a little offensive. A) I usually see it on larger groups where the policy is well posted on the menu and B) I didn't see the itemized bill, just the total with a line to add gratuity again. So you got your 18%. I would have paid more if the decision had been left to me and not you.
Simone Smudde
Everything was delicious and the staff was very nice! The perfect place to try something new wether it’s frog legs, gumbo or some crab cakes :) will definitely come back soon! Also try the drinks from the bar! Totally worth it!
Ashley Garcia
We went here on Saturday and Jessie was our server. She was very prompt and knowledgeable about menu questions! We will be back. Service and food was great!
Taylor Kopydlowski
I would have given less stars but we've been here before and had a great experience. I normally wouldn't leave a review but this time was just bad.
We came in on a sunday, there were a few tables outside and only 3 inside. Our server had a face mask but just had it hanging off one ear...what's the point of having it if you're not going to cover your face when you're at tables?
Our crawfish tail appetizer was flavorful, but the dinner rolls were cold on the inside. My dinner - shrimp and grits was cold. Not even a little bit hot. The shrimp were big but 2 of them were still raw on the inside! I had to box it up so I could cook it at home. My husband's salmon was great he said it had good flavor but his red beans and rice were cold.
Its disappointing, we worked hard all weekend renovating our master bath and wanted to treat ourselves to a night out but we will never go back after this experience.

First visit, new ownership, and we will return. My jambalaya was excellent, and my wife said her fish fry was great. Our server Samantha was professional, friendly and attentive. Modest crowd when we left on Friday at 6:30 pm, but I suspect that will change, and you'll soon have to call for reservations. Good Cajun and standard menu.

Mother's day takeaway dinner... Mac and cheese with lobster, beet and goat cheese salad, pecan pie for desert. Covid regulations were very well in place and I was very comfortable and pleased with the process. Food portions are significant enough for two meals.. which is a happy treat for me. The Mac and cheese is so creamy, I believe made with a bechamel sauce and the lobster, claw meat. The salad is very festive chock full of colorful ingredients. Saving the pie for a later time but it also looks and smells delicious. A meal to brighten this second Mother's Day amidst pandemic.

Its been a very long time that I've left a restaurant where everything was amazing. Cradaddys does it, service was great, food phenomenal, priced right with a good atmosphere. Highly recommended and already planning our next visit. Thank you!
Update- food and service still good. However, prices went up extremely on items (some now priced $10+) and portion sizes seem reduced. Sorry CD, the price point now isn't really worth it.
Quita Ha
The frog legs had no flavor at all plus they was not crispy,on the other hand the fried chicken was ok and the maple collard greens tasted very well. I haven't tasted my sample platter it cames with ribs, beef brisket and pulled pork.It will be a while until I go back there.
Sue Kramer
Was there for a banquet so the menu was different than the regular menu. I had the short ribs with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was amazing. How the served hot food for over 30 people at one time was excellent. The beneighs were so scrumptious! I know I will be back to try different items! The won me over!
Lynn “Tex292”
The food was delicious! Chef came to table to make sure that everything was good. Server Deb was excellent. Wish I took a picture of the food before eating to post with this review. Definitely will return!

Credentials: 100% Italian mom, I have visited a lot of good restaurants in Chicago and Italy.
I don't live here but felt compelled to write this review given the small amount of people that I saw there. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, easily the best Cajun. This is one of those places that shift food into the realm of art.
My mom cannot handle spice at all. She is one of those people who when you go to a restaurant and the waiter says the food isn't spicy, it's still too spicy. She loves this restaurant. Everything is made when you order and they can adjust the spice levels. She ordered the cream of corn soup and the frog legs. For those with the sensitive Midwestern palate don't be afraid to come here. The waiter, Dan, who I believe must be the owner because of his accent was extremely helpful and even gave us boiled butter for the frog legs even though it wasn't on the menu. I got the seafood gumbo and frog legs and they were great. The beer list is amazing; they even have Franziskaner Hefe Weisen from Germany. The desert looked like a piece of art.
People need to come here during Covid. There were only 3 tables filled while we ate there and 2 of us were from out of town. A restaurant of this quality shouldn't even be close to going under. C'mon Wisconsin, you have a gem.
Richard Young
Love love love this place. Everything I've tried from the menu has been excellent, the ambience with the soft lights and Cajun/Southern music and decor hit the right notes for me, the servers are knowledgable and friendly, and the drinks are spot-on.
Some of the prices may pop some eyes, but the portion sizes ensure more than one meal from each dinner entree. I like the new lunch menu... blackened fish tacos are incredible!
Steve Russell
We stopped in mid afternoon on Friday so the place was empty. The decor is well done, nicely appointed with plenty of conversation pieces. The food was fantastic. Everything felt and tasted very authentic. Our server was pleasant, polite, and attentive. I will definitely be back and soon.
Marie Dubrocq Sinco
Almost never write reviews like this but Crawdaddy's HIT THE SPOT!! Having grown up in the South I didn't realize until today how much I missed the cuisine. 1. Best Smoked wings in town 2. Grouper sandwich on point 3. onion straws are perfect 4. fish tacos exactly as my husband likes them. Anything else? Delivery was way faster than expected. So glad to have found this place!
Kayla
Awesome food! Tastes just like from new Orleans. Pricing is reasonable. Good food portions. Good customer service. Definitely will be back!!
TaNesha Elam
It was really good. A nice experience. One of the family owners came out and told us about the live music they have there once a month too. Good food and good service!
Tammy Howard
After three visits,I can honestly say I am impressed with the service, food, and atmosphere! Opening night was very busy, however service was pleasant and acceptable, despite the crazy number of people being served. Love the scallops, blackened catfish, lobster mashed, shrimp bayou and jambalaya. Experienced excellent service and delicious food on our second and third visits but still had a bit of a wait which I fully expect on a weekend at a restaurant that is well-liked and recently re-opened. I highly recommend Crawdaddy's to all!
Alex a
Solid. Nothing crazy. Been here twice now, this time had the alligator bites appetizer, they were tasty and I like the sweet sour sauce with it, but they were definitely itty bitty bites, ate the whole thing in under a minute and a half.
I had the Creole Jambalaya for my main dish, now keep in mind I AM CREOLE, lived in the south so of course it will not compare to the real stuff, but I found it tasty. The andouille sausage had good flavor, the shrimp in here was large and flavorful, and it was just a filling, good tasting dish. Well done, Crawdaddy's!
Again, I like the food here, nothing too crazy to write home about, nothing I crave, but when I am in the area, worth a stop.
Brandis Zarder
Food was good. This was second time there. But the service was kind of stinky. The bartenders have bad attitudes and care more about their regulars. And if you're in earshot of the register station holy cow! Be prepared for an array of colorful language! Especially from the hostess/owner? (or manager maybe?) I get it. This industry can be frustrating as I've worked many a year in it as well, but to hear how these women were talking about the customers and how frustrated they were about how busy it was... Im sorry, but maybe you should be grateful for the business? We probably will not be going back.
Angela Solomon
New Owner- Troy Meyer serving up some awesome eats. The atmosphere was fun and brought back memories of a much cleaner version of New Orleans. I specifically ordered the Shrimp and Grits and it did not disappoint!! The wings I had smoked and fried were delicious.. even naked. My daughter had the Caesar salad and said “this might be the best Caesar salad I have ever had”. We will be back for sure, very soon.
C F
Great beer selection. Excellent prices. The crawdad appetizer was amazing. The atmosphere is pleasant. It was pretty busy on a Saturday night and we were seated in under 30 minutes. Our server, Angelica was very sweet and very hardworking. She was quick on her feet. The parking was easy to find. We were coming into Milwaukee from Madison for a concert at The Rave. This was an ideal place to stop and have dinner. Couldn't have been happier with our experience.
Geetha Fisher
What a gem we stumbled on! The service , setting and of course the food are just fabulous! Also well setup with current Covid circumstances.
We had the hot crab dip, jambalaya , shellfish ettoufe and cajun pasta. They were all excellent but the pasta and jambalaya stood out!
Drink menu is extensive and we loved our drinks. We call it a destination eatery....worth the drive to go eat there.
M.a. Brzowski
We were pleasantly surprised by the beautifully themed decor and spacious dining room
Our hostess was genuinely happy to greet and seat us.
Our delicious food was prepared by the chef in an open kitchen, which added to the friendly ambiance.
Thank you for a great dining experiance
Tina Gregg
We had a great lunch / brunch. He had the seafood gumbo and I had the trio Benedict's . The waitress Deb was awesome. Food and drinks was great . Dessert was the bomb. Had the trio dessert. Thanks Deb for recommending it. It was the best birthday dessert / brunch ever.
Y Verneé
This was our 1st time coming to Crawdaddy’s and the food was AWESOME! Our sever Niki made the experience worth while! We will definitely be coming here again!!
Misty Krimmel
The service was great. The food was fantastic my husband got jambalaya, frog legs, and gumbo loved them all. I had the muffaletta sandwich was just like in New Orleans.❤
Elton Saunders
Went here for a special occasion with the family and thought it was a real fun environment. Good beer, and great food. Can't wait to go back.
Tony Bublitz
Food was delicious and wait staff was very attentive. Our table had an order that was delayed by an error in the kitchen, and the person who's meal was delayed received some complimentary gumbo and dessert. That kind of customer service is pretty rare these days. Great frog legs and pork belly.
George Kowalski Sr
Excellent food and good service. Gumbo is exceptional.
Steven Glenn
Amazing atmosphere, food was amazing, service was great, kept checking on us to make sure we were satisfied and food came out fast and delicious would highly recommend. We will be back to try brunch.
Cheryl Olson
Do not quite understand the Happy Hour only at the Bar? We are paying for Dinner and Service at the Table so why do you not have Happy Hour there also? Don't think we'll be back-
Leslie Berendt
Prices are very good. Drinks are cheap. Food very good. We split salad & entree, they split it for us & portions are generous. We sat on front patio, noisy but we knew that. Big bar inside & it's very attractive. We'll be back!
Suzzette Grisham
Those looking for the former Crawdaddy's may be a bit more critical than I am going to be...
The menu is a bit more limited in some ways than the original but also offers a new fresh choice. So let's get over the fact those crowd pleasing carrots are no longer and give them a chance to wow us with their signature dishes.
No doubt they will expand the menu as they get more established...
I am also sure the new owners have a few things to work out as any new business would. However, our dinner was very tasty with one exception (temp issues).
The owner stated she was aware this was an issue, they were working on it. As a courtesy she comped our drinks and offered us a dessert as well.
It doesn't change the fact I enjoy my meals hot but it is worthy of giving them a 2nd chance to see if the issue was resolved.
I strongly support small business and the overall the service, food, and atmosphere earned a 4 star.
I hope my return visit will earn the 5th and become one of my new favorite restaurants...
Shelly Bradley
Best southern food I had above the mason dixon line! Atmosphere felt like you were in Nolo. Alligator bites were delicious and the greens were heavenly! Definitely will return.
Jim Tomlin
I have always ordered the Blackened Twin Filettes with pasta and Carrots, Unbelievable! Whatever you order you will be happy
Paula Mckay
Me and my husband love our date nights and we love to cook and eat! We will definitely be back! Everything was absolutely delicious! So fresh portions are just right! ( we are big eaters ) must come to this restaurant!
Ariel Geidel
Everything was delicious. The cost was a bit pricy though. Well worth it though. Not to many Cajun style restaurants around.
gat 2asp
A little different than the old Crawdadys. Excellent in it's own right I just miss the Chicken Oscar at the old place. But the French onion soup is wonderful. And the Berkshire porkchop is one of the best I've had.
Kimmie D
Loved the fried green tomatoes and fried alligator bites. Seafood tacos were good as well. Chicken and biscuits were great as well
Joan H
Didn't know what we were getting into when we found this restaurant. My dad wanted to try out a different restaurant nearby but the wait was too long. When we arrived without reservations at Crawdaddys we only had to wait a short time for a table which was great for a Saturday night. The food was all absolutely amazing. We enjoyed every bite of it. I was happy because I got to try fog legs as an appetizer. We definitely will be back.
Camille Parra
Super tasty brunch! Everything we had on the brunch menu was great. Not to mention the hurricane Bellinis and Beignets
Sue Hollingsworth
I have not been here since they moved and are under new ownership. It was EXCELLENT! I enjoyed the catfish etoufee, yummy. I will be back!!!!
Christine Tews
Crawdaddy's was fantastic from the time we walked in the door, fthe service and especially the food! I had the fried green tomatoes, husband had oysters in the half shells. Then! Had the surf and turf..husband had blackened scallops over cheesy grits..
Randy Darty
Tough review to write. I really want to give more then 3 stars... but I just can’t... find think I’m being generous with 3 stars for this evening. I’ll walk you through our dining experience.
Upon arrival we went to check in, had reservations. Overall the staff just seemed to be confused and unable to multi task the small handful of people trying to check in. Certainly not a good first impression.
Then we got seated. I ordered a Sazerac and my wife ordered a Hurricane. Both drinks were above average. However, had to ask multiple times for glasses of water. The waitress just didn’t seem like she was into us all that much... she was polite though.
Ordered an appetizer... full pound of frog legs. This was to include a pound of frog legs, onion strings and collard greens. When the appetizer arrived it was only 1/2 pound of frog legs and missing the collard greens. Pointed this out to the server and they brought the rest of the food. And yes... the frog legs were amazing!
I ask for a sample of the grits prior to placing order... I’m real picky on my grits and they must be southern style. The grits were actually fairly decent for a restaurant in Wisconsin... a solid 8 out of 10 as far as grits go. But again... I am picky about my grits!
Placed dinner order. Prime rib was their special for the evening. I specifically asked the waitress to check and see if it could be served “very rare”... I stated that if it wasn’t available very rare, I would be happy to order something else on the menu and added that I really don’t want medium rare. She checked and assured me very rare was available. I stressed again when placing the order that I only want it if it is very rare. The prime rib was served medium rare at best (probably closer to medium). It actually tasted decent and was still tender so I ate it... but it certainly wasn’t very rare like I wanted. Waitress ask how dinner was. I told her the prime rib was good but it wasn’t rare. My wife didn’t like the ribs and the waitress ask if she wanted something else... she said no and that she would just take a box and let me eat them as left overs. The waitress offered her some mashed potatoes or Mac and cheese... I thought that was nice! So my wife said she would take some mashed potatoes. The bill comes and she actually charged us $5 for the potatoes. I thought REALLY? On a $100+ bill the waitress adds $5 for potatoes that she offered because my wife didn’t like her entree... oh well.
In Summary: our dinning experience was less than satisfying and service could have been better. I really believe this place has the potential to be 4 or 5 stars... but for tonight’s dining experience the best I can do is round up my 2.5 star rating to an even 3 stars.
Matt Carroll
Have been here many times and the menu never gets old. The Jambalaya it the best in the city!! The oysters are not as good as Maxie's however, but good enough. The menu has a lot of choices and you can eat here multiple times and have something different each time.
Great place to take the kids. It can get loud as it is larger on the inside than you may think. When it gets busy, it gets REALLY busy. Great drink selection, and very friendly staff.
Go and find out for yourself. You won't be sorry you did.
Marcus
We had it as takeout and it was amazing. The chicken sandwich was a religious experience. Their beignets challenge Disneyland’s. The BBQ was solid...and their red beans and rice should be its own food group. We will be back.
Theresa Rawson
Really good food! We were there on Fat Tuesday and the food, atmosphere, decor, music was great. I had the blackened catfish po boy and it was some of the best fish I’ve had. Drinks were surprisingly reasonable as well.
dwight weber
Enjoyed the Pig Roast and the live music. Fundraiser for the Vets. Great time.
Tonya Armour
I'm such a picky eater. I must say this place has won me over. I had the roasted duck. My fiance had the blackened salmon. He was very satisfied. Our waitress Alexandra was so nice and helpful getting our food on point! Crawdaddyis definitely on my food list. We will be black to patronize.
James Potter
Wow!!!
Great place. Great service. Great Food!!
We had a party of 5 and all were impressed.
The blackened duck was the best I've ever had.
My wife had the stuffed eggplant, she claims it was the best seafood dish she ever had.
Can't wait to go back
Charlene Smith
My grandson treated me to a holiday luncheon. I peeked at the menu online before we went there, such a variety! I ordered the Sampler Platter, w/choice of 3 meats & we ordered the Gator Bites, appetizer w/ spicy honey dip sauce--taste like chewy chicken, LOL. Louisiana/Cajun style foods. Next time I'm order different foods, I want to taste the soups, salads, and sea foods
Sabrina Boro
The food was by all means just a great as everyone I know has raved about. However, the service was much less than I expected for the price. First, our server took 5 minutes to even greet us, and proceeded to take an additional 10 minutes to come back for our food order. Luckily, we ordered appetizers at the same time as our food, because even once we finished our appetizers, we still waited well over 30 minutes for our food. The server checked back on us only twice, neglecting our beverages and the fact that we had a birthday celebration taking place. Once we confronted the manager (who was dressed as a server... ironic) defended her employee, saying that since it was a Friday night, and because we ordered appetizers, that it was OK for another table, who was sat more than 5 minutes after us, to be gone and have the table re-sat before we were even half way through our dinner. Absolutely terrible service, and worse yet, management handled it extremely poorly. Despite our statement that because of what happened, we will probably never be back, the "manager" simply shrugged her shoulder and apologized, stating she would talk to the employee. Needless to say, this may be an isolated incident, but when you hardly go out to eat, this was a frustrating experience!

Today, I ordered some amazing food. It was fresh, tasty, and packed well. It reminded me of visiting my hometown family in Louisiana. I had some delicious oxtail soup, gumbo, red beans and rice and BBQ brisket sandwich w/sweet potatoes waffle fries. ALLLL of it was absolutely DELICIOUS and flavourful. I will be coming to dine in, but delivery was wonderful. Thank you CrawDaddy's. ❤️😊
Lyphenia Bryant
Undoubtedly some of the best grits in Milwaukee county. They're very creamy and without the clumps that make most people avoid grits. I also recommend the fried green tomatoes. I hadn't had them in years. Great place to go with old friends. I can't wait to go back and try out the frog legs
Arr Kener
Food was good. My wife loves. Gluten-free choices few but broiled oysters and collard greens were fine
Niese Timothy
Went on a Saturday evening. Fun atmosphere: lively and crowded but not too cramped. Immediately seated despite being 10 minutes late for reservation. Attentive but not overly soliticous service. Delicious food -- warm, generous portions, not over-seasoned. Definitely worth a visit -- we will be back.
lee Bee
Best Frog Legs in town! I took the whole family and told them they were eating gourmet wings. Everyone including my mother and 2 little girls loved them! I had the baby back ribs and would definitely order them again. The bartender knows how to poor a drinks too. I’m looking forward to checking out some live music there in our next visit!
Dawn ROMAN
Went during the day during the week so only 1 other table with 4. Could definitely social distance. Food was fantastic. Fish tacos yummy. Waiter very nice.
Karen Snow
Good food.
Attentive services
Clean
Prices aren't cheap but not too expensive
But had scallops and grits it was delicious, but for 21.00 should have more than 3

Robert Brumm
Crawdaddy's was one of my favorite restaurants years ago until the quality of the food went downhill and I stopped going before the old location shut its doors. I just went to the new location for the first time and I was relieved that the awesome food was back.
The atmosphere is nice, building was spotless, and the service was great. Super waitress and our food came to the table in record time. 100% accurate and 101% hot and delicious. Crawdaddy's is back!!
Pam Schuk
We had lunch at Crawdaddys. The food was excellent! Our server was Terry. She was very friendly and helpful. We will definetly return!
Katy Mahoney
Atmosphere was nice. Service was great. Considering it was a Tuesday night, my husband and I were the only ones dining in, which seemed weird. Food was good, but seemed about $5-10 overpriced to what it should be. Will come back, but know what to expect next time.
Michael Ryszkiewicz
My wife and I visited on Saturday, and could not have been happier! Baked oysters were on point. The scallops and grits were absolutely delicious. We absolutely will be back again!
Ryan Vasso
They have over 1000 reviews for a reason. Legit spot for good seafood. Customer service is solid and always friendly. Highly recommend.
James Pershing
Excellent food and service.
Had the gumbo creole.
Recommend this place highly.
MN&W
Yesterday was my 1st time there. It was my bday & I wanted 2 try a new restaurant. We ordered the shrimp & grits, seafood gumbo, maple collard greens, fried green tomatoes & beignets. Delicious! My only gripe is the food was warm, not hot. I'll be back 2 try more of the menu.
Peggy E. Graves
My first time here. The jambalaya was delicious. Service was great. I can't wait to go back
Aaron Schmidt
Excellent and authentic dining experience. Beautifully put together decor throughout the entire restaurant. Attentive and polite staff rounds this gem off. The amazing food speaks for the dedication and passion of the owners. I highly recommend repeat visits as it is impossible to enjoy all the amazing food in one visit!
Nyree wright
My son birthday was Saturday took him here for the first time and it was my first time as well. We're half cerole so we love cajun food, can't get authentic unless we visit new Orleans or my great aunties cook it. But, we ate here and he took the first bite of his jambalaya and he loved it my son a very picky eater so if he loved the jambalaya this speak volume . I order the catfish with red beans and rice all the food was delicious!!!! The environment was clean, decorated nicely, staff professional, friendly and they even song happy birthday to my son and gave him a free dessert... we most definitely will be eating here again soon maybe this week because he ask me do they let you order and take out! Lol
Michele Zirtzlaff
It's still fabulous! Food and service was amazing, still my favorite place for seafood. We went on Saturday, early because it gets crowded. We waited 1\2 hr for table but food came out fairly quickly. Maryland crab cakes and scallops were delicious.
Gib Drib
Nice spot for a satisfying southern meal. Ill start this review by saying I had been dying to come here. I have to say its not was expecting either, its like jazz and renaissance. The menu is full of southern classic dishes. Personally I was expecting alot of seafood, and hopping to get my hands on some delicious crawdads. Howevere there was only one crawfish dish on the menue as an appitizers. Tempting but instead my table decides on the alligator bites, which were so yummy and i definitely recommended trying. For my course I choose the chicken waffles. It was good, the waffles were great, I decided on the chicken fritters which were a bit dry so I would go for one of the other options. Everyones food looked pretty dam good and im sure it tasted good to. All in all great food, cant wait to come back.
Christy Mulder
Good food, fast and friendly service
Angie Kleist
Our meal and drinks where fantastic !! Nikki our server was also amazing ! Thank you for a great time, we'll be back soon !
Mark Schlickman
Great menu selections. Frog legs outstanding! Pork Chop was very very good. They have crawdaddy tails on menu listed as fried, but you can order them sautéd in butter. Darn fine! Not the same seasoning as previous restaurant menu but every bit as good. Also, sausage and oxtail soups are very good. If I had one complaint it would be domestic beer draft pint is $4.00 which is a bit steep to me. But if you go to happy hour its 2 for 1! Must visit!
Christopher Ehlers
I had the stuffed eggplant and i can see why it was rated one of Milwaukee's best eats! The amount of flavor it had was outstanding. And the atmosphere made it seem i was transported to New Orleans! Everthing was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!
Lisa Neumann
Great evening! Greeted eagerly, seated quickly. Our server was very pleasant, joked with us appropriately. Food was served hot and was very good. I had a cup of gumbo, was a bit small in portion, but very tasty, served on top of a bed of rice which I could add on my own. Dinner followed quickly, the etouffee had just the right amount of spice, lots of seafood. My husband had 4very large coconut shrimp. Not a lot of coconut, but the prawns made an impressive show. Each dinner was accompanied by sweet carrots and white rice. I didn't know there was a wild rice option which I would have opted for if I had known. I brought 1/2 of my dinner home, he brought 2 of the shrimp and full bellies.
Sylvia Sosa
Our first time there and food and service was absolutely wonderful! Dan our server, was great! Will definitely be back
Kristina m
Amazing food highly recommend if you love food from New Orleans. The alligator bites are to die for. The crab dip is amazing as well. Date night must!!!
Robert Deck
Be aware of what you are ordering. Some dishes have generous portions and some sacrifice large portions for a gourmet look. First time I went got the gourmet look ( Creole Jambalaya) smaller portion meal (not happy) but I noticed my son got what I should have ordered (Shrimp & Andouille Cajun Pasta) so 2nd visit I got what he had gotten and loved it (nice larger portion meal). Wife got Blackened Scallops and Grits (small portion meal again) and loved the Scallops but didn't even finish the rest of meal and didn't want doggy bag. Decor is nice chairs not overly comfortable and the prices are on the high side. There is a Groupon for $60 off, which we used and meals with drinks (2 non alcohol) for 4 adults was still $140 with tip. Would NOT go without coupon or Groupon.
Jill Stock (Jillis)
I have been 3 times and it has never disappointed. Fantastic, fresh food all pared really well together. Great specials menu everytime! The ambience is really unique and lovely. I will be back, without a doubt!
Tony Novinska
User to be five stars. They just don't have the luster, variety and excitement that the old white house on Greenfield and then the first five years or so at the 63rd & Greenfield location. Still good food, but just not the unique destination that it used to be.
Joshua Sadorf
This place is legit. We started with frog legs, enjoyed some delightful seafood gumbo and finished with beignets. The only discrepancy was entree portion size.
Nicholas Whitehead
Crawdaddys offers some amazing Creole food, including one of the best shrimp po' boys outside of New Orleans. If you got a sweet tooth then they also offer some delicious French beignets. Hit them up for dining options or through one of the many food delivery apps!
Debbie Maxwell
Loved the Seafood Gumbo it was a little to spicy for me but that didn't stop me from eating it, one of our table mates had the 1/2 chicken with greens and mashed potatoes, he is a hearty eater and had to take most of it home, they also ordered a side of mashed potatoes to go, they were damn good.

This place is incredible. Everything was so good. The food, the drinks, dessert was all amazing. Our server was on top of everything. They bring fresh made bread straight out of the oven. The seafood was so fresh. Had a great time.

This place is incredible! Got takeout and everything was perfect. We tried fried green tomatoes, wings, crab bisque, scallops and grits, and seafood gumbo. Everything was AMAZING. If I could give it more stars I would.

I was hesitant to dine here, based on some of the reviews, but I really loved the food at the old location. The food was good; it was well seasoned and prepared well. I remember it being pricey, but that is an understatement. This place is expensive for what you get, and it seems you are charged for every little thing on top of an already expensive entree. However, the service was good and so was the food, so I guess isI recommend it; I'd just do so with a price warning. I've been to places in the area with equally as delicious food, double the portion, for half the price. Crawdaddy's is kind of a Milwaukee staple though...you take the good with the bad.

It was very busy and my server was proficient, everything came out correcty even though we substited a bunch of items. Very impressed. The ox tail soup is delicious and the desserts were snazzy. love the atmosphere and the bartenders are super cool!

Call Davey was an absolute Delight, I really appreciate it the food as well as the customer service that was given to my group of Christian friends during our visit

Fat Tuesday might have been the wrong day to return here. Most of our entrees were lackluster. No shrimp in the jambalaya and the rice was hard and cold. Lobster medallions with shrimp were great, as was the plain bread and the cheese and andouille stuffed bread appetizer looked fabulous.
Perhaps we expect too great of a dining experience here and maybe that is not fair. Just disappointed.

We decided to try the NEW CRAWDADDYS, we really use to love the old one, before the food quality dropped. (But that's another story). We were here for lunch, the waitress greeted us warmly, got our beverage of choice. The calamari was lightly breaded and cooked nicely. Our lunch consisted of 3 " blackened fish" tacos, and a ragin' Cajun burger, cooked medium rare. Excellent. Loved the decor and our waitress Mary Beth did a great job. Well done!!! We'll definitely be back!!!
We came back, my wife , my son and myself for Valentine's Day (2018), for the most art the food was tasty, service was prompt and friendly, my disappointment stems from the lack of Calamari for an appetizer, I have specifically selected this restaurant for that reason, they also did not serve bread and butter as part of the meal, it has to be ordered as an appetizer. I will still be going back, but I will be asking if they have Calamari on the menu

We moved here 6 months ago and do Friday night fish fry once a week and finally found our favorite. And i was born and raised in South Louisiana so they had to really throw down to impress me and they did. Highly recommend. Prices were also great.

We were there on Saturday. Got seated right away and everyone was so nice. The food was incredibly amazing! Atmosphere was warm fun and enjoyable. We are from out of town and come to the area often... This is our new must stop restaurant. Can't wait to go back!
David Kramer
First time here though it was pricey and the food fair
Sagittarius Cole
I ordered BBQ chicken wings & fried green tomatoes. The wings were super big (you get four of them) & the fried green tomatoes served their purpose. The fried green tomatoes was awesome!
Mark Hoglund
Awesome had the hot crab dip appetizer to start, followed by a cup of gumbo, then fried chicken dinner, finished with beignet for dessert. A true grand slam delight, nothing was disappointing. Deb was a fantastic waitress. Can't wait to go back.

I do miss the old Crawdaddy's. With that being said, Iq stopped for dinner and ordered the blackened cod with wild rice. It was delicious! If you go early enough, you might also be inluck for their BOGO happy hour bar special.

First time here and my fried shrimp Poe Boy was great. Very good experience overall. Great customer service. Now mind you it's just for the Po Boy, so I'm excited to experience Crawdaddy's again. My wife and I were very pleased.😀 …

Oh man o man this place is definitely a gem of a place!! Loved the ambiance and the whole decorated atmosphere of it all, straight Louisiana up in that place!! I will be definitely going back really soon and cannot wait! Gotta try almost everything on the menu!😜😋 …

Good food but overpriced. I used to live in New Orleans and I think the food tasted fairly authentic. The bar areas smells when you walk in and the air conditioner wasn't working on a 98 degree day. Dined with my mom and she didn't care for her salmon. I probably won't be back because our bill was $75 for lunch for two adults and a small child drinking tea and lemonade. I do think that if a lunch entree is $20, you shouldn't have to box your own leftovers...
Terr Miller
Food good. Just the portions of the food is little

Second visit in a week. Crawdaddy's has been a favorite if mine for years! Was so excited when they reopened in new location. I've never been disappointed. Food, Service, & Drinks have always been GREAT. Love the many unique menu choices!! Be adventurous & enjoy! 😄 …

Great place good food and awesome service. My sister had her 10 year anniversary dinner here. I'm sorry I can't remember the guy name that served us but he was awesome with great customer service.
Antonio Dawkins
Decent food. Great service. One of the best nawlins food spots in the city.
The beignets were amazing and I don't even like sweets.
Chris Woods
Took my sister there Saturday dinner time, first time going, and my sister's 60th birthday 🎂. Great food loved the chicken and waffles and fish tacos. I will go back again. …

Oooh. LOVE Crawdaddy's. Upon our 20 min wait, the bartender suggested a Sangria. So glad she did! It was absolutely wonderful. Very refreshing & fresh. The FOOD is always top notch! This time was no different. I had Shrimp Scampi. There were roughly 12 grilled shrimp in slightly spicy, garlicky butter sauce. Sooo good! Our server was Beth. She was funny, friendly & down to earth. Good combo.
The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because we waited for almost an hour when we were told 20 min. Oh well. Saturday night. Never know how quickly tables turn over.
Jim Meinel
This is a new restaurant with a similar name of an old restaurant that I loved. Please give this place a try. I’m coming back soon.
Chris Mancuso
Tasty tasty tasty. My wife and I weren't sure about this type of food but found it excellent. There is a plethora of options. You will definitely find something on this menu that you'll fall in love with. What a fun atmosphere, welcome to New Orleans
Jerry K.
Stopped in for lunch today, and am I glad that I did. Mary-Beth was energetic and helpful with all the choices on the menu. She definitely kept tabs on me, even when it got busier. Shrimp bisque was a good start. Crawtails and shrimp & grits were outstanding. Left full with some delicious leftovers!!
Lavinia Padmore
The food was really good. Service was fantastic. Sandy was very attentive, courteous and knowledgeable. The food was delivered to our table surprisingly fast. We definitely plan on going back.
Rich Denton
It was expensive as all get out, but it was damn good.
Bryan Jenkins
Great since the new owners took over! Bison Burger and Crab Cake BLT were amazing and the service was stellar.
Edit: They've been open less than a week and today was my 3rd visit. The duck dumpling soup is to die for!
Patricia Adams
Change of shift, all 3 servers very professional. Got help ordering the right bourbon to pair w crawfish. Aawsomme!!! Now one of my favorites in Milwaukee.
Adam Lese
I enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere, and I was surprised at the variety of different items. I had a hard time choosing an entree, and really enjoyed the Blackened Seafood Tacos.
Good food, good service, and we'll be visiting again soon
Nathan Mitchell
Crawdaddy's was a great choice for my anniversary. We started with the frog leg appetizer. Disappointing. There was no flavor and they were (wait for it) WET! But we ordered the Shrimp and Grits and also the Shrimp and Andoule Cajan Pasta. Both were so good we left wanting more.! The menu has many choices. We will be back!
Chase Bryant
Great authentic Southern Food! A little overpriced in my opinion but they don't really have anything else like this in the area so I would have to say the prices are justified. I would go again.
Phil Jurceka
First time at new location.
We had an great time.
No wait on Saturday!!' Food was absolutely delicious and the service great.
Party of 6. We all loved our dinner.
Best in Milwaukee area by far
Thanks crawdaddys.
B MaHungries
The Food Here Was Amazing! They, At The Point Of Wrting This, Offer Groupon Deals As Well. Great Service From Waiter Dan. Food Was Well Presented, Hot, And Fresh Tasting. Great Vibe Inside As Well. They Also Have Parking! Definitely WILL Be Returning.
Bill Talatzko
Crawdaddys continues to deliver 3 years on. Had a really good short rib po boy that was a special but should be on the menu permanently. I don't think anything on the menu will disappoint. Wendy the bartender is a master of her trade and always has great drink and beer recommendations.
Julie Driscoll
First time visiting crawdaddys last night.
The place really looks nice inside.
My seafood paella was absolutely delicious
My husband had the swordfish off the specials menu. He waste to go back tonight already.
Our server was great too.
Danielle Walter
Went to celebrate 2 birthdays. Food was delicious! I had the lobster and shrimp alfredo. Perfection! The bread, that was served warm, was excellent. Decor was beautiful! Can't wait to go back.
kathy levandoski
This was a treat for my birthday - I've never been here before. It was awesome ! The food ,atmosphere, and service was great. I would have given it 5 stars , but parking was odd. I was already parked when I realized there was a parking lot at the end of the block ! I enjoyed it & will recommend it to my friends !

I had a long post but decided to erase and sum it up because I dont want to rant(yes longer then this)
Food is great, prices reasonable and drinks are delicious.
Server was horrible!
Made whole experience unpleasant for fiance and three daughters.
I'm in the industry and let's just say there was no excuse for the lack of attention, it was as if we were a burden from the moment we walked in.
She acted almost as if we were not there.
But she had time to run around ranting about this and that.
She needs to find a new profession stat.
The gentlemen server picked up 95 percent of her slack.
He came after he noticed us calling her forever and took our drinks order.
He gave her our drink order, advised her we were ready to order.
10 minutes later no drinks and never came to take order.
Gentleman came back, I told him drinks never came.
Turns out she forgot.
Never refilled carafes once. Never cleared dishes until the end. Never asked how the food was.
The other server did all this for us and apologized for how the evening was going.
Literally, she ran around like a chicken with her head cut off ranting and laughing it was wierd.
She had just rapped up two 6 tops so she had nothing but us.
Gave me a difficult time about the groupon after I let her know as soon as we sat down we had one.
Total would have been 90 bucks without groupon and that's what I leave gratuity on 18 percent minimum always.
Except in this case I gave her $5 which I felt bad cause I'm in the industry but I promise you it was not normal.
I couldnt even sympathize with her.
I wanted to leave zero but she has to make a living too.
Hopefully she will realize how bad our service was after the little kind yet firm note I left.
John Riley
Fabulous dinner experience with Dan as server. Good soup, entre and dessert. Solid Hurricanes.
Laurel Thoriette
Seated almost immediately with a reservation & fair croud. Our server was awesome, food,as always, was great, fresh seafood, many Cajun dishes, good drinks, etc This is & always has been a rather loud place, just a lot of people talking, but I loved it before & now.
Andrew B.
My wife and I spent the afternoon at the Milwaukee Boat Show and finished off with a great meal and great service from our waitress Terry. Thank you to the whole team.
Nathaniel Fakler
I cannot start to describe the overwhelming hospitality that we had from our server Dan. Food was great, atmosphere was stellar, and I felt at home. Go to Crawdaddys and regret leaving. Nailed it.
Barbara Adkins
My husband and I went for dinner and the food was excellent and service was great. The pecan pie was amazing just as our server said. Definitely will go back.
Sarah Niebeling
This was my second time here, we loved the food- the seafood is amazing!the cornbread was to die for. The drinks were average. Service was normal. Overall will return here.
Sussn Wink
Wish I could give them a 6 star.
My husband is really a picky person.
He said the ribeye he had was the best he ever had. My daughter and I shared a shrimp ravioli app which was delicious. The stuffed eggplant was awesome. Our server was great too.The menu at Crawdaddys is really different. So many items we can't get in this area.
The place is absolutely beautiful. Real brick on the walls and blues artists between the pillars.
A must try in the Milwaukee area.
We're hooked.
Tedd Grass
Alot fancier interior than I was expecting from a place called crawdaddys. Chicken and waffles were delicious and service was fast and courteous. Shame I lose my wallet here, but the man who helped me look for it was patient and nice about helping me look for it.
sherri sable-meyers
Amazing food... And amazing people..my cousin can't wait to go back ....love the hospitality!!!
John Graber
One of my all-time favorites in the Milwaukee area. I'd give the food "excellent", but with the number of times I've been here, there have been a few occasional misses on the quality. The Oysters Rockefeller were not baked quite long enough on my last visit, for example. They were done and tasted okay, but needed a few more minutes.
HIGHLY recommend the blackened catfish. Four out of five of us ordered it. I make it a rule to get it every other visit and try something new on other trips. The menu is pretty extensive.
Dan ''Spiffy'' Neuman
A friend told me he had the best steak he's ever had at this place. I looked it up and was surprised to find it was a cajun place. I made it a point to visit, as the wife and I both love cajun food, and I also love a good steak.
Come to find out, the original locations had closed and they reopened with a new owner and new chef, but similar menu and recipes.
Similar or no, they were out of the ribeye my friend recommended. We instead tried myriad seafood appetizers and entrees.
The popcorn crawfish bites were almost exactly what you would expect. Little bits of fried seafood. Same with the crab dip, which might have been our favorite meal item. It had a cream cheese taste but wasnt overwhelming. I would have preferred if the bread it came with was slightly softer.
The gumbo was exactly what you'd expect from restaurant gumbo. Solidly good but nothing out of the ordinary. My wife tried the oxtail soup, which she enjoyed. It reminded me of french onion soup with meat in it.
I got the blackened catfish, which our server recommended more enthusiastically than I've ever seen anyone recommend anything. Honestly I'm not sure why. It was normal blackened catfish to me. My wife got the catfish etouffee, which was also what we expected, but good etouffee is hard to find. The red beans and rice, a side that came with both, were a little soupy. My wife tried the maple greens, which were an interesting flavor combination.
The beignets tasted correct but were a different shape than I am used to in New Orleans.
We will be back to try some additional things, including the ribeye.

The new Crawdaddy's restaurant is wonderful. It's a much bigger location inside with lots of room to spread out. The food still brings in the crowds on the weekends and there is typically a wait, but it's worth it. Chef Jon and Lettie have really done a great job!

First time coming here. Came for Saturday lunch in honor of Mardi Gras. I got the gumbo, red rice and beans, and the Southern Fried Chicken. The chicken was good but the cole slaw tasted old and lacked flavor. I also paid $8 for a French 75 that was flat and not chilled. Also the bathroom doesn’t have a changing table. For such a large place that serves lunch, it was disappointing.
Jessica Cook
Great food! We stopped in on a whim as out of towners and were very pleased with our choice. Nice ambiance, great service. Excellent food! Had the lunch portion of the stuffed mirlinton and still couldn’t finish it. Highly recommend!
Barb Hannes
I had fish tacos with blackened fish. They were great. Waitress Mary Beth was only waitress at lunchtime on a Friday. She was amazing. Friendly and quick. Hope her boss realizes what a gem she is.
Tequila Underwood
Great food, great service. Only negative thing I can say is they forgot to give me napkins and utensils in my to go order. Was on my way back to work, and didn't have anything to eat with. ☹
Timothy Cooper
The food could've used a lil more pizzazz. Idk - maybe sum Old Bay seasoning??? The staff was dry (well except 4 our waiter but he expects a tip of course so I'm not exactly sure how genuine his welcome game was). What impressed me most was #1 the restaurant's new location is so modern and well designed and #2 the expansion of the menu. They even have fried alligator. And something called Voodoo Juice which was absolutely delicious (they had Voodoo Chicken as well so that was cool).
Suzanne Potochich-Weigel
Only had drinks.ok beer selection. Menu looked amazing, bartender was great. Clean, nice decor.
