Food was good. I had a great NY strip steak, medium rare. Cole slaw was fantastic. Very good old fashion. However, I don't think the price matches the food quality. I felt I was paying more for the ambience, which is fine. So not the best steak or BBQ in Milwaukee, but still good.

Service was friendly. It took a bit long to get our order taken and delivered to our table. I'm thinking they didn't have the staff to cover the influx of patrons. Couple of things: 1. I ordered au gratin potatoes and they delivered garlic potatoes. 2. I ordered a medium steak and it was well done. 3. It took a bit long for us to get drinks and then to get our dinner. Again, the service was friendly but there were a few hang ups with the experience.

Update: I checked again and the sandwich was not charged per the response from the restaurant. I had been looking for a credit on my statement and I was just charged less than the total. Upped a star for that. The rest of my review still stands. Also the plastic was *inside* the sandwich not on the outside. I was planning on eating it with a fork and it was mixed in with the meat in the first fork full. I want to also add I have worked customer facing positions my entire life and I'm not impressed with their customer service when I had a legitimate issue. I'm not someone who complains for no reason and I was super nice about it because I get it, stuff happens sometimes. They were very pleasant when I came to pick up the order, just not so much when I had an issue. Original review: I've only ordered "to go". On 11/14 I got home and found a piece of plastic in my pulled pork on literally the first fork full so obviously did not eat the sandwich. The meat is good but the sides here are really not. I called to request a refund for the sandwich as soon as I found the plastic (probably 30 minutes after picking it up), and was transferred to the manager named Max who told me they usually only issue gift cards. I told him I would like a refund (because why would I want to try their food again). I let him know they might want to check their pulled pork for plastic and he told me they portion it in saran wrap so that makes sense that I found plastic in the sandwich. He asked me to send a picture and he would refund me for the sandwich. Today is the 30th and I have no response to my email nor a refund to my card. I'm annoyed that I left a 15% tip on a pick up order that wasn't even edible and they won't refund the card. I didn't even ask for a full refund, just a refund for the sandwich. The other meal was fine.

I visited Carson's for the first time today for my mother on Mother's Day. The service was superb! But, sadly our food was not. I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The lettuce was slightly wilted and the chicken was dry, old and tasteless. My mother ordered the prime rib. I know this tends to be more of a marbled cut of meat. Which should add to the overall flavor and juiciness of the meat. Unfortunately, it was tough and tasteless. And the fat had more of a gristle effect. I had to help my mom cut the meat when using a serrated knife. The waitress was so professional and attentive that I did want her to feel the implications of my disappointment. So, I kept my mouth shut. Why do customers have to cross their fingers and hope to get quality food that is professionally prepared when they dine at a restaurant? And the pandemic has only heighten this dilemma😵‍💫

Carson’s restaurant is a MUST stop. Not just for its delicious food, but the service by Bree and her team is top tier in customer service. With clear adversity being short staffed every one including Bree stepped up to deliver an amazing experience. Special shout-out to the bartender Bird drinks were top tier too! Definitely my first stop when back in the city.

Always my go to restaurant when I want a home cooked meal fast. They have some of the best martinis. The cornbread is amazing. I don’t care for the caesar dressing as much as i do the creamy garlic dressing. The staff is friendly and fast. The only thing that I don’t like is looking for parking on the weekend you will need to Valet.

First time visitor. Sweetest day date.. Highly impressed. Had one issue but the manager addressed it fairly! That being said I would recommend this place for sure. The atmosphere was nice. The food was good..water was good..and the cornbread OMG ...PLEASE ORDER IT or you will be sorry! PA the tip is added to the bill.

I reserved a table for Two. We were sat at our booth in a timely manner. Our server came over and offered us drinks in a timely manner as well. Customer service was awesome. Store manager was very polite and pleasant. He stopped by our table once we received our food to make sure everything was great. He explained how the ribs were cooked and offered to cut mines for me! The whole experience was great! I would definitely recommend going!

High end BBQ Steakhouse! Drink prices are very reasonable for beer & cocktais. Reservations are highly recommended. One of the best steak houses in Milwaukee. Definitely on the high end of prices. Sides are great steak was cooked to perfection but needs a little more flavor. Metered parking outside of restaurant. Staff is great. Steak cuts were perfect and I would definitely return!

I love this steakhouse, the steaks are phenomenal, the sides are delicious, the food is always Amazing! When ordering make sure you get a Cesar salad to start your meal and Au Gratin potatoes as a side, just trust me on this. For steaks my personal favorite is the Black angus. It’s really juicy & tender! The service is always great but the only complaint that I really have is we could never get night reservations anymore. We called so many times recently and they’re always full, which led us to discover capital grille down the street. They always have open nightly reservations and the food there is really amazing to! Unfortunately that’s where we talk all of our business partners for dinner now. We can’t always play the phone games to see “if” can get in anymore. But overall great place!

Delightful dinner! The cornbread was everything a good cornbread needs to be. The shrimp appetizer was the perfect amount of garlic and butter. My filet and my husband’s NY strip we’re cooked to perfection. Our server Montserrat was very nice, and recommend such great dishes. Will definitely be back!

Loved the food and our server was awesome to say the least. I wasn't thrilled at all about sitting at the bar for our meal. This was a birthday celebration, and I wasn't able to converse properly with my spouse. To make matters worse it was the spot by the carryout area. That was a bummer. Luckily my server made the best of the situation and made it a great experience. I will come back again.

Always wanted to try since I always seen it. I was expecting the ribs to be fall off the bone but there really wasn't alot of meat on them. It tasted great but I spent over 40 for my meal and was still hungry.

Not sure what is going on, but the ribs were dry and tough, as could not eat them. I ordered a steak instead and was not at all up to quality in my opinion. Salad and shrimp were great.

We have never had a bad experience here! The servers are always attentive and the food is always amazing! Valet service is $12 (minus tip) which is great, especially during the cold months. If you wish to just sit at the bar, I highly recommend either a Cosmopolitan or Dirty Martini with Blue Cheese stuffed olives. Dangerously tasty :) Carson's will always be one of our go-to restaurants!

I ordered for pick up and when I say the service was top notch!! I mean that from my heart and soul. The box was packed with loving care. I was able to drive to Illinois and nothing wasted in my car. I even did a tic tok video about. It was just that Great!!.

The food was delicious but parking sucks. A place with that caliber of food and relaxing atmosphere should have their own parking lot. Patrons should not have to pay for parking as well with the food. I actually decided to go to other establishments for dinner because of their terrible parking.

My favorite place! The food is always excellent. Greek pork chop and Greek chicken are a must! Make sure u grab a side of creamy garlic or feta dressing. ( U will never look at dressing the same) Shout out to Beny for being attentive to our visit from the minute we walked in. He made a point to check on us throughout dinner and he's excellent at helping decide what to get when everything is sooo good.

Carson's Prime Steaks was a great venue to check out. It has a swanky atmosphere for a downtown restaurant and the staff give you alot of attention. They do offer valet parking but make sure you ask about the $12 for $10 offer or you will look foolish when leaving. The food was great. I love a good steak. It wasnt the greatest I've ever had but ik bit here to compare rather then rate. The presentation on the plates looked awesome. The portions are many. We had a Groupon so we had the full course. Salads are awesome as well....So overall great food...good downtown location...Friendly PSA: Check to make sure their isnt a concert at the Fiserv if your not planning on Valet parking...thank me later! Enjoy!!

Mediterranean porkchop is phenomenal! The pulled pork sandwich is basic. The garlic sautéed broccoli was also amazing! Wonderfully calm atmosphere & social distancing is put into practice. We will be back & recommending to friends!

Ah, I miss this place in Chicago. What a great trip down food memory lane. You won't be disappointed. And absolutely, get the corn bread app. Sounds weird, but you will not regret it. And yes, the ribs are awesome.

Great food and service. Was a little sticker shocked when I saw the prices but when I got that pork chop I saw where my money went. That thing was 3 inches thick of pure deliciousness and the ribs and twice baked potato with it were excellent also. Then we shared key lime pie. It was out of this world, and I love pie so they had their work cut out for them.

This is the first time I was at this restaurant. The steak is AMAZING, perfectly cooked with a delectable char/crust that keeps the juiciness of the steak locked in. The au gratin potatoes are equally as awesome. The Cole slaw is award winning and rightfully so. Get yourself some of this food now! Seriously right now.

The place looks nice but there complications....first there was a problem with our reservations...which the manager fixed it..once there it nice but this baby keep screaming it was 9p.m...the waitress was a bit deceiving...the salad dressing were nasty and my pork chop was still raw in the middle so I just took my food to go and finish cooking it at home...my experience wasn't the best and I was really excited so that was a big let down...also it was my 15th year anniversary.... Don't know if I'll be back...I gave 3 stars because the food was good once I finished cooking it and the manager fixed the reservation problem..

The salmon was tender and delicious. My boyfriend got a NY aged strip steak that was tender and cooked perfectly. As soon as we entered in the restaurant we were greeted very nicely and felt super welcomed by the hosts and hostesses. It was a snowy stormy day and it really made our night to get great service at this restaurant. The dessert chocolate cake was soft and moist and came with a side of ice cream. It was absolutely delicious. There are some really nice views from this restaurant. Nice place for a romantic date or special occasion.

Decided to try Carson’s as I had a craving for ribs so made it a date night. Made friday dinner reservations for two and had no issues since i made them two days prior. Once we got there a few mins early we were immediately sat. The place had a nice dim, clean, modern steak house vibe. Our server Gregory was awesome, very personable and knowledgeable. We had lots of questions about the menu. We started with warm corn bread topped with whipped butter that was dangerously good…I knew I could eat the whole loaf but wanted to save room for meat! My date got the Cesar salad and Mediterranean Salmon with asparagus, she loved the salmon but next time would try potatoes over asparagus. I knew I wanted ribs but there were also combination options. Our server Gregory recommended the half rack of ribs with the Mediterranean pork chop so that’s what I got along with the au gratin potatoes. The pork chop was pretty amazing and I’m still thinking about it, every bite was so tender and flavorful. The ribs were good but the chop was better. Not the best ribs I’ve ever had but I prefer the fall off the bone kind and they tell you that they are not fall off the bone kind so that was fine and I was prepared. We had a great experience at Carson’s and would def come back to try other items on the menu.

Good food. When we went the place was like a sauna something with the ventilation wasn't working. The waiter did not work for his tip some items weren't available and I did not appreciate the managers attitude. Other then the service the food was good.

Service can be a little lacking sometimes (ie. getting your order wrong or forgetting modifications) I usually get the smoked pork chop. The taste is great but usually a little over cooked. The BBQ here isn't very good. The sauce is OK but I always ask for them not to pour it all over the pork chop. I've tried their brisket but the quality is pretty poor. Certainly no where near what you can get in Texas or even elsewhere in Milwaukee. They call their Caesar salad "legendary". I don't know about that, but its pretty good. The cole slaw is "award wining" but I consider it below average. It doesn't taste fresh at all and is quite watery. The au gratin potatoes arent very good. The twice baked is pretty good. The greek potatoes are decent. Overall, if I want a good pork chop, I come here. Another annoyance is finding parking in this area.

Not the best ribs I've ever had, because they aren't the fall off the bone type. HOWEVER the roasted chicken is to die for, big salads with soups that complement the meal. The salmon is always cooked perfectly, pair it with a glass of red wine and the mood is set. Dim lighting makes it all fall together. On the flip side its always a wait but thats where good company comes in.

Nice private party room space that comfortably fits 10-12 people. Elegant atmosphere but you don’t HAVE to dress up. Food is very good - wine options are tasty. Note: Watch out for the group added gratuity - don’t make the mistake like we did and tip as normal 😮 - the server will not return to question the possible mistake...

Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was an excellent experience. We did go right when they opened, so we were pretty much the only guest in the facility for half of our visit. The server was extremely attentive and friendly. The crab cakes were super flavorful and tasty. The spinach, mashed potatoes, and ribs were SUPERB 😊. Definitely planning to go back soon. Highly recommend!

Our waiter, Greg, was phenomenal, very informative on their menu and walked us through the options we had for the steaks we ordered. Excellent food. Our group had the ribs, bone-in pork chop, filet Oscar, BBQ chicken and huge 40-oz bone-in prime rib. Everything was delicious, especially the prime rib which was the best I've ever had. Service was solid. Drinks were good but pricey, $12 for an old fashioned. The food was priced OK for what you get. We will be back.

A bit of a disappointment for the money. The server was friendly but a bit overworked being behind the bar and waiting tables. I don’t know if that’s why but service was slow. Took almost 45 minutes for the entrees to arrive and they got my order partially wrong. I had the rib/brisket split - ribs were good but brisket was fatty and too drenched in sauce. I prefer a smoky, dry rub brisket.

Rib appetizer was excellent, steak was over cooked but ok. Sides were awesome. The garnishes were one (1) onion ring & a spoonful of Cole slaw. Wouldn't it be a better garnish with a few onion rings and a scoop of slaw?? This doesn't seem unreasonable. Service was exceptional. Next visit was 6 weeks later. I ordered rib dinner and she ordered shrimp dejong. Everything was 5☆.

BRAVO to the Carson's team for a fabulous dinner for the four of us. Mike & Kristyn are the host/hostess with the mostest and are seasoned on how to take care of their guests. The martini's were mixed and poured perfectly. The chargrilled Mediterannean Shrimp were cooked with perfection and so tasty. When challenged by choosing between ribs and steaks go for the turf & turf as they are literally the best of both worlds. The ribs are truly the best in the area and the steaks are right up there with any prime steakhouse. Again, cooked to perfection. Save room for Keylime pie with the coconut crust it'd win a blue ribbon at the state fair. AWESOME all the way through including the service.

Crab cake is delicious, it’s actually more crab than breading 😋 but the ribs here are definitely overrated. They’re cooked well just not very flavorful the sauce is what they rely on for flavor I guess. Au gratin potatoes and their corn bread are the best. Oh and the Sangria is perfection. This place can seem a little uppidy maybe it’s the mix of $18 finger licking bbq patrons and $50 steak patrons.

Fantastic food! We started our meal with salads, one Caesar and one Garbage. They were awesome!! We ordered the ribs and chose spinach and au gratin potatoes as our sides. We shared a bottle of wine and a dessert. The tiramisu was delicious. We were given a Groupon as a gift which is why we decided to try Carson's. Our waiter, Eduardo, was very helpful and attentive. He helped us navigate the menu and gave many suggestions. Everything was great but I can't help thinking bread was supposed to be served. I mean, there were bread plates at the table but we didn't get to use them...

The brisket sandwich was like butter, it literally melted in my mouth ! I devoured it so fast, I barely remember the flavor, but it was delicious ! The steak I had was medium well, but more on the well done side, it was good, not really worth $56, but their cole slaw is very good ! Very onion-y. I loved it. The razz drink is cute & tasty, not a strong drink. But definitely cute !

Carson has a beautiful setting but the chefs don’t pass the test. This is my third dine in visit and I’ve eaten takeout twice. The ribs are good but the steak even after trying the third time was still tough and not full of flavor. As was the crab cake, over cooked and unseasoned. The steak is not prepared the way you expect a steak of that price. My medium was well up until the fleshy pink center and my sides tasted like they weren’t cooked with a pinch of salt. I’d recommend sous vide with such thick cuts. Otherwise the bartender was pleasant and my Mai Tai was rather delicious.

Every time I've gone, the food has been great...except this time. I went with 3 other people and all of our food was over cooked. Both my friend and I ordered steaks ( medium and medium well) they were both well done. Everyone ordered at least 1 half rack of ribs and 4 out of 4 orders were over done and dry. I understand these are not "fall off the bone" but after eating here multiple other times this meal was not on par with the others I've had from them. Waiter was great though.

I placed my order online for the 2 racks of ribs family meal ($55 special). I also ordered cornbread ($8) and an extra container of coleslaw ($8). I received directions to arrive at a specific time, then call a phone number to let them know I was parked outside, and then they would bring out my order. I tried calling that number for more than 10 minutes when I arrived and could not get through because the line was busy. I eventually had to find a parking space and go inside to pick up my food which would normally be just fine, but at this particular time it was rather annoying and a huge inconvenience. Inside, the host directed me to a pickup window where the staff were friendly but clueless. I finally received my order which was packed in a nice box and sealed well, so I regrettably did not verify that I received everything I ordered and paid for. I discovered, after my 40min drive home, that my extra coleslaw was missing. All that said, the ribs (smoked in-house) and their homemade BBQ sauce (1 pint bottle included) were excellent. The meal also came with a pan of cheesy au gratin potatoes (very thick, rich and cheesy) and 1 side of their signature creamy coleslaw (just ok on its own, strong chive flavor, but paired very well with the ribs). With the cornbread (1 piece per person), the meal was just enough to feed 2 adults and 2 senior citizens who eat small quantities. I may give it another go in the future.

It was my birthday and my first time there. Everyone was friendly until the end. My steak was overcook a little and when I ask for the remaining of my food to be wrapped up I had to wait to get my food back when the server brought the bill. It was 6 of us. My husband seen we wasn't getting our food back that he ask for them to bring him a box. They brought me a chocolate cake for free(that was nice) but I don't eat chocolate. Servers should ask because some people are allergic to chocolate. So with the little hiccup they would have gotten a 5. But the wings are to die for

Just want to compliment the service of the bartender on the 4th of July, as well as the Manager or front door team. Fantastic service and professional group of people. I appreciate their craft. The 18% service charge ensures a fair living wage, but I was happy to tip an additional 20% because the service warranted it. Thank you!

Great food and amazing service. The wings were a great appetizer, they had a ton of flavor. The prime rib was cooked to perfection. HIGHLY recommend the charcrust on the filet mignon. The cocktails were delicious too- we had cosmos and razz martinis, which were fabulous. Carlos our server went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Came here for the 1st time last night for date night. We both ordered the BBQ 1/2 chicken and it was excellent- tender juicy and the sauce is delish. I love the coleslaw!! I love it doesn't have carrots in it and has a kick to it. The au gratin potatoes are cheesy and addicting! The staff was super friendly and we had a great table with a nice view of downtown so we will definitely come back again!

As a biracial woman ( my grandpa is a rib king) I’ll admit I had high standards. What is incredible is that every single portion of our meal had me wishing there was one more bite! The crab cake on special for an appetizer was hearty, flavorful, perfect. We split a wedge salad that tasted how you’d hope it would. I got a half rack of ribs and the Greek potatoes. The bbq sauce alone was worth the visit. The ribs were cooked to perfection, no fake smokey flavor, and had me considering to order the other half of the rack! The Greek potatoes were well seasoned, and perfect in texture. He ordered the kebab and it was HUGE, and delicious, as well as the au gratin potatoes, which I’ve never liked, until I tried Carson’s. WOW. Had to come and write a review because I am STILL thinking about this meal. Finished off with a brownie. Fantastic. What a genius concept, a bbq place, that has elegance. I cannot wait to go back and see what else they have to offer!

Carson's Stake House was worth every bit of the wait! I had heard so much about the food and it did not disappoint today. Everyone enjoined their menu items. The double baked potato was delicious. I went to Carson's for lunch for Downtown Dining Week. The food was DELICIOUS. I had the Greek chicken and potatoes, and I thought it was so good. The salad was great as well. Portions were good, and I had to take leftovers home. I am only giving three stars because the service was not good. We waited a very long time for our salads only to realize that our server forgot to bring them to us. When he brought our entrees, we asked for our salads, and he seemed to get mad. We waited some more, but he did not bring them. We finally had to ask another server, who was very helpful and polite. She brought out salads right away.

Oh my God. What a amazing steak restaurant. The steak that I brought was expensive ($54) but you only live once. That steak had a delicious char on it. Cooked to perfection. So juicy and tender. It was so delectable. It was unbelievable. I have never had a steak so good. Now I have to try everything else on the menu. Especially the bar-b-q. Since it is a Steak and barbecue joint. I can not wait. I mean if the steak was that good the barbecue has to be just as good. Also they stay open till 12am. I am really impressed and I recommend this place to everyone. Service was great. That was the highlight of our visit. Very friendly and was checking on us often. The reataurant is in the shape of an 'L' so it is a strange layout but almost everyone gets a window seat. Plenty of chances for people watching. Food was about average or below. Cornbread was moist and just a bit sweet, but I am a sucker for cornbread. Salad was nothing special. You can taste the smoke in the ribs, but they are not very tender. The steak was good, but over-seared. My steak was not bad, but my wife's was really dark/burnt. She ordered her steak med-rare but received med-well. Overall, from other food we saw being served, they tend to sear a lot of crust on their meats. I'm all for a nice layer to keep in the juices, but it's too dry and crusty. Chocolate cake dessert was tasty. The cake was served warm and in a gigantic portion. It's paired with some smooth ice cream as well.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Waiter warned me that the baby back ribs were not fall off the bone but they were still tender. For a place that claims they specialize in BBQ it surprised me and I guessed he was over exaggerating. Nope he was right..... ribs had to be cut apart to be separated, tough to get off the bone and not very tender. Shocking that they claim to have famous BBQ especially at the prices paid. However, the BBQ sauce was very good. My wife ordered the cedar plank salmon and it was excellent! We will probably go back but not for the BBQ.

The staff was simply incredible. The hospitality West 2nd and none! The food was scrumptious and well proportionate. The price is a little expensive however once you taste the food it most definitely is true quality. The ambiance is beautiful. there was a group of very loud patrons who thought they were the only people in the restaurant and had no regard for others that were trying to have a peaceful experience. I just expected management to take the initiative to speak to that party. But other than that, it was an amazing experience.

Okay, I haven’t actually eaten here yet but I’m a delivery driver and I had a couple orders to pick up here tonight. There was also a Bucks game happening at the Fiserv so the parking situation was a nightmare. All the street parking in the area had signs saying there was no parking allowed and there were police everywhere enforcing this. I was stressin so I called the restaurant on a whim to see if they had any suggestions/tips for me. Raquelle (sp?) actually took it upon herself to grab both of the orders and RUN them outside to me where I had my car pulled aside across the street and around the corner. That was fantastic customer service and I just wanted to commend her for going above and beyond.

Excellent ribs and the brussel sprouts is totally worth the extra $4.00 I had to pay. If you like cornbread you will love their cornbread appetizer. Customer service is unbelievable. From the moment we got there to the moment we left the service was outstanding. There was a bit of a wait because we did not have reservations on one of the busiest nights, but we were taken care of the entire time. This restaurant was recommended by one of the locals. What a pleasant and welcomed surprise. On the night we ventured to Carson's, it was already crowded with parties coming in with reservations. The manager was truly accommodating and found seating for four in less than ten minutes. Our waitress was informative and pleasant in guiding us through the menu. The Mediterranean Shrimp with grilled vegetables was just plain delicious, and the side of coleslaw added a unique flavor for the taste buds. The stuffed salmon with crab and bearnaise sauce was truly enjoyable. If you like ribs, order them here (naked or with sauce). The additional sides of steamed spinach or asparagus were impeccably prepared. Dessert was had by all, Tiramisu and Key Lime Pie. Delectable! Delicious! A wonderful introduction to food in the city of Milwaukee.

I absolutely love Carsons. Been there a handful of times over the last two years and it never disappoints. Steak is like butter and the double baked potato cooked perfectly. Not to mention the drinks always delicious. I can't recall the exact name but the salad that has the New York strip cut into slices on top with the creamy feta dressing will make your mouth so happy with every single bite.

Service was great!! We loved our server, Missy. Food was disappointing. Double baked potato was overcooked. It was brown. Roasted cauliflower was not cooked evenly. Some of it was over cooked and some undercooked. We didn't particularly care for the coconut in the crust of the key lime pie. Ribeye steak ordered medium was over cooked. My husband was told that it was the lightning that made the meat look well done and he should follow the manager to the back to see the steak under different lighting. We may give them another try because we loved the service.

Food, cocktails, and our server, Carlos, were excellent. Salmon and filet mignon were prepared just right. Razz drop martini was Heaven! However, we had a reservation at 8 pm, showed up on time and did not get sat until 8:20 pm. The restaurant was freezing cold. I had on long sleeves and was still uncomfortable. Music selection was early 2000s pop/punk rock and there were long gaps of silence between songs. The restaurant was so busy we ended up having to spend 2 hours there for dinner. Just an uncomfortable atmosphere overall that put a damper on a romantic dinner. Mostly easy stuff that management could fix.

The chicken, was mediocre, bland in my opinion but the asparagus was very good. I think for what they charge they could turn up the flavors.

Food is a 5. Service a 5. Price 4. So if you like ribs, or steak, this may be a place to check out if you can afford it. I had a rack of ribs so here is my honest, and expert opinion. 1. These are competition style ribs. They are tougher than your normal chain. Not fall off the bone. When you bite in to them, they leave a tooth impression and have a good to great feel. 2. The smoke used is hickory. Not my favorite but it is an artistic choice I guess. I would have preferred to Apple oak or cherry wood personally. I looked really hard, and could not see any distinguishable smoke ring. Which was slightly disappointing, considering the price I paid and the work that went into making these ribs. The smoke must be so subtle or, the ribs cooked quicker than normal for that to occur. 3. It came with extra sauce, and the sauce was heated. This was a very elegant touch to what they consider a very elegant rib eating experience. I appreciated this and loved the presentation. 4. My sides were coleslaw, and potatoes au gratin. They were both good, the potatoes were the best. I wish I would have gotten the double baked potato. It looked wonderful when I saw it across the bar. 5. If I was at this joint cooking, as a chef, I would cook the ribs between 225 and 250 for an appropriate time, to get the ribs a little bit more tender. Cutting through the ribs, makes quite a loud noise in quite an elegant place when the ribs are cooked to this doneness. My Hope Is, if the ribs are cooked at that temperature not only will it create a more pleasurable mouth feel, but it will also produce a smoke ring worthy of the price I paid for these ribs.

This is the kind of place that you want award 7 stars to. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I was greeted by a guy who was as nice and as accommodating as he could be. He was a giant with a strong handshake. He may have placed for the Packers, I forgot to ask. I ordered the BBQ pork chops. They were somewhere between two and three inches thick. Fred Flintstone would have had trouble downing these in one sitting. They were amazingly tender and deliciously juicy. The Shrimp DeJonge was excellent. I ordered everything to go but decided to try the shrimp while I was there. Those shrimp were so hot, I just about burned my mouth on the first one. When they make it to go they mean that it's still going to be hot when you get home - even if you live in Chicago. I liked their cole slaw too. Everything that I tried was first-rate. I will be back. The staff was absolutely wonderful! Eduardo was our server, and he was very tolerant of the difficult diner in our crowd (always have that ONE). I am a vegan, so going out to eat is always a dicey proposition if I want to hang out with most of my carniverous friends. I went vegetarian in choosing the Caesar Salad. It was phenomenal! I would suggest only that they have maybe one more choice on the menu for those of us who get dragged to an entirely carniverous restaurant. My dining companions made WAY too much of an issue that I wasn't ordering an entree, like the rest of the them. I hate being the center of attention for my diet. Other than that, if you are close to the restaurant, take an Uber there. The construction is horrendous and parking outrageous, which gives the parking checkers a field day for issuing tickets.

Ribs are NOT fall off the bone, boiled, etc., which is perfect and definitely some of the tastiest! Everything a la carte, unlike Chicago area Carson's, and cole slaw side is very small amount. Service is good. Restaurant doesn't seem to require a dress code of any kind since since customers were wearing sweat pants and flip flops on a Saturday night. Reservation made in advance but seated at a small table in the bar with too much foot traffic.

Mouth-watering fall-off-the-bone ribs. The best au gratin potatoes that are melt-in-your-mouth divine. And a salad so fresh and delish that I could almost become a vegetarian from it 😉. Had 8:00 reservations but didn't get seated til 8:30 and when my name was called another couple jumped up and was seated before me. Asked the gentlemen was that for Keith and he said yes. I replied well that was me not the couple that arrived after me. Finally seated and the food was just ok ordered then Ribs and Chicken and had coleslaw and parmesan crusted asparagus. Also had a Carson's Cosmo which is lethal by my standards but overall just an ok dining experience. Parking was good found a spot close by otherwise Uber there or use then Valet parking.

Great staff, food is ok. Rightly priced. If you like sweet food, this is your place. The cornbread was more like a corn "dessert cake" and could be used as dessert! Im from Texas and we just don't like that much sugar in our cornbread. Sorry. The ribs were tender, and slathered in a very sweet sauce. We both had lettuce wedges and those were great. The Augratin potatoes were very good. Beer and Old Fashions were excellent. My filet was "medium" good. Charcrust was nice, but the flavor was missing. So, if you like really sweet food, this is your place.

We ate there on Friday night. Our waitress Sam (female ) was great. I got BBQ sampler with chicken, ribs, and a very thick pork chop. Pork chop over cooked and tough, chicken ok. Ribs tastey but, don't fall off the bone. The menu does state they are not cooked that way. Ribeye delmonico was good , regular one felt for the price Longhorn steak house is tastier and more tender. Filet was good. All in all probably wouldn't go back, way to expensive for the quality.

My family & I have been coming here ever since they opened their Milwaukee store having spent several wonderful dining experiences at their Chicago stores. Since we live out of town, we only frequent once every 2 months, but every time we walk in, we are remembered by the friendly staff! The Best Steaks in town and the ribs are to die for! We always order either the bone in rib eye or (my favorite) the prime rib, both standing proudly at 2" tall and done to perfection. Crispy crab cakes start out as a great ala carte as does the "Garbage Salad'. We usually never finish our meat and take it home, along with an order of their spectacular Ribs to be eaten another day. A choice of potato comes with every entree, otherwise everything else is ala carte. We are looking to go back in the next week for my birthday and a free piece of their chocolate cake YUMMMMMMMY. Can't wait!!! If we're lucky Renee Carson will be their and give us a bottle or Carson;s BBQ sauce.

Knowing it is Christmas I will keep that in mind. We waited for someone in valet to park our car, at least 20 minutes, the waiter never came and when he did we waited till our food was served until we got our bread. The music was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talk .Leaving and waiting for valet another half an hour. Terrible experience, I don't care how good the food is, learn how to handle busy times and get rid of your valet company.
