The breakfast potatoes were awesome with just the right amount if salt. We sat outside. The waitress was professional and nice. The French toast is a must. 10/14/22 Tried their Haddock it was Fabulous. The coleslaw had good flavor and the bourbon cheese cake was awesome. The Wisconsin old fashion was one of the best in downtown Milwaukee. Thank you Wolfy and your teammates. I'll be back soon.

Buckley’s restaurant and bar was an amazing night out in downtown Milwaukee. I ordered the fish fry and my partner ordered the salmon which were amazing. they have amazing wine options and a ton of food options for both mediators and vegetarians. The weight staff were very hospitable and even offered to give us a brief tour and give us insight into the history of Buckley’s and the Buckley’s family. this small restaurant is definitely one on the quiet and upscale side, and so far it in their craft.

I went to Buckleys for brunch on a Sunday morning. When we first got there at 10:45 it was not busy, but throughout our hour there it definitely picked up. I got coffee for a drink and the smoked pork shoulder sandwich for my meal. The sandwich was soooo delicious. The bread was perfect, the pork was tender and flavorful, and the sauce on top was incredible. My boyfriend got the corned beef hash and also liked it, though I tried it and definitely still recommend the pork shoulder sandwich. Our server, Kayla was so friendly and helpful. My only downside of this visit was that we were seated in between two other groups of people pretty close, so it was sometimes hard to focus on our conversation without hearing the peoples’ next to us.

Bartenders were fabulous! We had the carrots and artichokes for our appetizers. Dinner was scallops and steak. Delicious drinks. Overall a fantastic evening. Can’t wait to go back. I highly recommend!!!

Buckley's, a restaurant neatly tucked away on Cass Street in Milwaukee, has a beautiful interior and a very friendly staff. We went on a Sunday Brunch date and sat at a high-top in the bar area. We were waited on by the bartender and he seemed slightly overwhelmed as it was fairly busy, but he handled it very well and was attentive. Overall, the food was good. I would say I enjoyed the pork shoulder sandwich, but I would caution that it may need more seasoning. I was glad salt was on the table as it needed a dash or two. We also enjoyed the hush puppies with crab and avacado creme. The dessert was good, with the peanut butter buttercream and chocolate cake, but it needed to be warmed up a bit as it seemed to be straight from the cooler. Overall, pretty good with a really nice, friendly staff.

I had dinner here the other night and the experience was excellent. The service, the food, and the wine options were great. The waiter who served my table was extremely friendly, kind, and professional. I ordered the white lamb bolognese and it was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking to have a nice quiet dinner with someone. The restaurant itself had this older classic look and feel which is pretty neat.

Lovely location and establishment. The service was great and so was the food. My wife had the steak and I had the KFC sandwich, and both were tasty. So was the charcuterie and carrot cake. The beer selection includes some nice options and if you're a cocktail person, there are definitely good options.

Buckley's is easily one of the best restaurants in Milwaukee. Perfect for a date night. Service is impeccable, food is always great, and drinks are on point. They make amazing deserts in house as well, definitely worth saving room for.

If you've had one chopped chicken salad you've had them all, right? Nah. This is easily the best chopped chicken salad Ive ever had. Acultually filling and tasty and great amount of chicken, croutons, and dressing. Definitely getting again. We sat outside on the nice patio on Wednesday evening. Got a table right away. Server Sara was awesome. My wife got the mushroom ragu which she really liked. We got the meatball appetizer which was enough for 2 people to start. Dessert. Dang. Seasonal cheesecake was incredible. I admit I dont eat cheesecake often, but I would happily wreck my pancreas if I could eat all I wanted of this cheesecake. We will be coming back to Buckleys.

Buckley’s was great, we always visited when in Milwaukee. I feel like their food has really suffered the last few visits. We will always swing by for take-out carrot cake to enjoy when we get home, but will probably skip dinner from now on. Disappointing…

Incredible. From the drinks and apps to dinner and dessert. Everything was amazing. Highly recommend the truffle artichokes for your appetizer. I was here in February when cacio e pepe was on the menu. This is a Roman pasta dish and I spent four months living in Rome. Cacio e pepe was my favorite dish in Rome, so being in the states I was hesitant to order it. However, I went for it and do not regret it whatsoever. They definitely pulled through! You also should get the BEST carrot cake ever for dessert. Your mouth will be watering. You will not regret going to Buckley’s!

Buckley's Restaurant & Bar is a small unique brunch spot featuring fantastic specials. During my last visit I tried the homemade Elvis Pop Tarts, Lobster Benedict, and Dutch Passion Fruit Pancake. The Elvis Pop Tarts were hot and fresh, The Lobster Benedict well cooked and prepared, and the Dutch Passion Fruit Pancake while taking around twenty minutes to cook was the top standout, and well worth the wait! I look forward to visiting Buckley's Restaurant & Bar again soon.

This was my second time coming to Buckley's and I just love it. They had a special on bottles of wine and had a fabulous pinot noir for a steal. The waiter was very attentive and would top off our glasses when they were getting low. We split the lobster roll and it was devine. The bread was perfectly buttery and toasted. We also shared the truffle fried artichokes (again). I don't think I've seen this appetizer offered anywhere else and it's so special. It's lemony, truffle-y, lightly crunchy - just a beautiful flavor and I want to order it all for myself! We also shared a special dessert - key lime pie with a chocolate crust. It's the perfect pie. It's creamy, the flavor is just right and the sweetness does not overpower like some key lime pies. Sitting outside on the patio is a treat as well in the summer months!

This is a rather small location, but it was a perfect stop for a late lunch! I kept seeing the truffle artichoke mentioned in reviews, and I'm glad we ordered it. It was a delicious starter! I had to keep reminding myself to slow down and enjoy it. Their drinks are a little pricey, but strong enough that I only needed to order one. I enjoyed the salmon burger with a small side salad. I usually pass on dessert but the waiter was sure to brag that everything was made upstairs. Once he told us the dessert options, I had to try the peanut butter cheesecake. It was unbelievable! Would definitely visit here again!

Came in to the restaurant way underdressed. Didn't know as we stopped in from out of town. Bone marrow was good. The Gnocchi was great!! Also had Scallops and the burger for dinner. Both were good. Gnocchi was definitely the favorite.

A very nice place, the drink selection is great. The food menu is a little lacking though it makes up with the amazing fresh food and service. There is only street parking so beware that you may have to walk a few blocks but it's so worth. Meatball starter is out of this world.

Top notch service and delicious food. When my friend made the reservation she was able to include allergy information and the server was helpful in explaining what we could eat. This is not a place for regular meals out. At least not for my wallet. The primary reason for only 4 stars is because the menu is NOT vegetarian or vegan friendly at all. Granted the menu is limited - a GOOD thing IMO as this allows the kitchen to focus on doing those things really well.

2nd time here for dinner. First time in the dining room. Both times dinner was great. Try the curry drink and the old man. Wife and I split the spinach salad and got two different pasta dishes. Was aldente, gave it a hearty taste. Dont forget the carrot cake... order it first so you have to try it.

My significant other and I first visited Buckley’s for just another Sunday brunch. From day one the service, food, and atmosphere has been top quality. We both work very busy schedules and frequently don’t get to spend time with one another. We have found that Buckley’s has become our weekly Sunday Brunch tradition and we think of it as almost a second home/getaway. Anytime we bring friends or family we are recognised, greeted well, and the food is always great. Thank you for becoming such a big part of our lives, Buckley’s and Staff. We’ll see you next Sunday!

We went to Buckley's last night and it was great! Great service, the atmosphere was fun and light, and the covid protocols were followed. We felt really safe and comfortable even inside with everyone masked and spaced. Thursday nights are an egg roll special and holy cow were they awesome. We went with the idea to just get apps, drinks and dessert and ending up getting the food too. The swordfish was incredible. Our server was fun and helped make the experience (wish I could remember his name but had one too many delicious cocktail). Thanks Buckleys!

The menu has limited options but very good things to choose from. I had gnocchi with butternut squash and it was delicious but a few pieces was a little mushy. The chicken wings were good but one piece was chewy. Great sauce and flavorful. I'd definitely go back if I lived in Milwaukee. The waiter was kind and quick which is a good thing. You can always tell when the server has been doing their job for a while when they know what they're doing.

This is a quaint restaurant with super ambiance and food. I took a visit from out of town out for this meal and she was equally impressed. The only thing that seemed a little out of synch was the hostess. My guest and I both thought she seemed very quiet...to a point where she seemed upset at us about something. It was strange. The waiter was very kind and service was excellent. We will definitely visit again.

Good food and service. Dined in for dinner and sat outside. Their version of an Old Fashion cocktail had a nice balance - was not overly sweet or too boozy. Overall the charcuterie plate was OK but the raspberry-elderberry jam that came with it was excellent. I had the rigatoni with added shrimp. The rigatoni flavor was good and the shrimp perfectly cooked. The noodles were a bit too al dente and the shaved parmesan cheese on top clumped together - shaved would have been a better option so that it would have been distributed though the dish better. But overall ot was a good entree that I would get again. Both of the people I dined with enjoyed their meals and drinks.

Wonderful experience. Beautiful interior with high ceilings and dim lighting, but not like you're in the dark. Very intimate yet vibrate atmosphere. Professional and wonderful service. The menu is fantastic and the food supports it. It also has a really nice bar with plenty to chose from. Solid wine and spirits list.

It has a welcoming atmosphere with great decor. Food and service were both outstanding. We had a Buckleys burger cooked to medium rare perfection and the pork bolognese with house made pasta was also delicious. For those with covid worries...they are masked at all times and require you to be masked when they interact with you at your table, ordering, dropping off food, etc...and constantly sanitizing common spot areas...doors, tables, etc... Will definitely be back!

The food and service were absolutely amazing! We sat at the bar and had a great experience. The recommendations from Wolfgang hit the pallet in the proper way. When we left there were big bags of dessert to take home (because there is absolutely no way to eat all of the delicious sweets in one sitting)!!

Buckley's is under renovation and expansion, so it will change significantly before too long. We add in a new addition which we were told would be a private dining room when all the remodeling was done. That said - it did not feel like a new addition. It was comfortable and cozy with a fireplace. We were seated on the second floor (alert - there is no elevator at this time). The room was about half full and my only complaint is that it was loud - not overly loud - but there is very little in the room to muffle sounds. I had a little difficulty understanding our waiter, but that was probably more my aging ears and the timber of his voice. The service was excellent - friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent. We will go back on future visits to Milwaukee.

Really liked the new space and am curious how the older part of the restaurant will meld with the new. The food was very good, I had the muffaletta and my wife had the beet pastrami. We usually don't do dessert but the carrot cake was SO good. Our server Megan was delightful. The outside seating will be changing with the new kitchen area and the landscapers were hard at work so it's a work in progress.

This is a beautiful restaurant, understated but asking for a certain amount of decorum. The evening restaurant crowd seemed to skew elderly but, to be fair, it was a fairly early evening Thursday. Our group met to talk true crime and we did not feel out of place! Our server was exactly the right measure of attentive without making us feel rushed or uncomfortable. The food was delicious and was attractively served.

Visited on a warm summer evening. Went for the food, stayed longer for the home made deserts. A bit noisy, but due to the ample crowd that evening. Food was hot, nicely presented, and of a nice serving size. Unusual drinks, outstanding deserts. Great location, outdoor seating, wonderful food, good service. Cozy little restaurant. The duck and the pork were both moist and tender. The duck was not at all greasy. The tuxedo cake and chocolate mousse were decadent.

This place is such a gem. Even in covid times it was such a beautiful delicious place to visit. We originally had reservations at 845 but didn’t get a table until 930... we are very easy going understanding people and they served us our bottle of champagne we ordered while waiting standing to the side. Honestly we enjoyed even that. We thought the building was beautiful and can not wait until better times when dining inside is allowed. They were very accommodating when we did get our table and comped our entire bottle for waiting which was not needed but completely appreciated. We ordered the artichoke (ummmm so delicious) the cauliflower flat bread (like a deconstructed banh mi), the Salmon mousse salad (;p), and the salmon. So tasty, everything. The servers and staff were a delight. Could not recommend this place anymore, please go, so worth it. Great neighborhood.

Buckley's is one of the best cozy restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The food is exquisite and service was the best I've had in a long time. The waiter whose name is Daniel was authentically funny, delightful, and refreshing. The burger and fries were great and my coworker said that the carrot cake with buttercream icing was the best she's ever had. This one is a must if you're in the area.

I went with some family friends for lunch last Saturday. What a wonderful surprise! the service was personal and professional and the food was great. It has a really nice 'ambience" and feel. It looks like they will be expanding the restaurant in the future, which is a wonderful idea. The deserts were outstanding and it seems that one the owners is the pastry chef! I will come back many times in the future when i visit Milwaukee. Truly a gem and a great find

Best brunch we have enjoyed in a while! Homemade ginger ale, homemade whipped cream, beautiful dishes with perfect portion sizes. Surf n turf breakfast, Peruvian Shrimp, and Lobster Benedict all yummy. Pancakes are light and fluffy, and a great dessert. Wait-staff, Kayla, is polite and attentive.

Went into this meal anticipating a good meal from the reviews. The high cost of food is not indictive of the quality here. I got the beef short rib, which was incredibly over done and dry. It also had a small, sharp piece of bone in it that must've been left from when this piece was cut from the bone. It came with brussel sprouts that were soggy and not very enjoyable. My wife's airplane chicken was nothing special from what a small town diner could prepare. The carrot soup and the wine was the only things about this meal that we enjoyed. If I'm going to spend $100 for a meal, there are countless better places I could go in this city.

Excellent food, service and drinks in an inviting place. A family run establishment that is a can't miss when in Milwaukee. Last night my husband and I had the Brussels Sprouts to start, who knew smoked grapes would be so good?! For main I had the scallops - cooked perfectly and a perfect portion over grilled sweet potato medallions; and he had the lamb. I don't generally eat lamb, but the dish was wonderful, paired with the ancient grains with which it was served. For an extra kick we had the cacio e pepe, and house made pasta was very good. If you have room, try one of the desserts freshly made by the lady of the house. We had turtle cheesecake and an aperitif to end the amazing evening. Please check it out, you will not be disappointed!

Heard great things about this place, so we thought we'd give it a try. Service was wonderful. Food was unique and very flavorful. We ordered a mixture of dishes and liked them all (wings, meatballs, burger, salad). Dessert - I had to talk about this one separately. The rest of the food was good but this was amazing. Peanutbutter Cheesecake - creamy, not overwhelming, light and fluffy. Wow. We'll be going back for this for sure.

Went here for lunch midweek and was able to get a table outside. They have a pretty good beer selection and the menu had a few good looking options. I went with the banh mi, which was very good and had quite a bit of heat in some bites. I attempted to be healthy with the salad instead of fries, but the salad was not that good. Probably a simple lemon and oil dressing but a little too acidic for me, and the salad was pretty much just lettuce with nothing else to liven it up.

Great neighborhood place, the quality of which you'd find in a cool neighborhood in a big city. I've eaten here about ten times and never had a bad meal or even a bad course. Specials are often particularly lovely, and often sell out. Craft cocktails demonstrate taste, creativity and skill. Quaint and quiet tables. Also, attractive bar is blend of modern and old school and makes a great place to have a meal and feel like a really cool regular. Highly recommended, a true five star place.

If you are a local or visiting for a weekend you must, and I mean MUST stop at Buckley's for brunch. When I say I enjoyed myself, I definitely enjoyed myself! The experience and food were both on par! My husband and I have been a few times so my review is valid. Let's start! First let's talk about the vibe. If I have to describe the feel of the place think New Orleans -bourbon street meets Brooklyn brown stone.

Buckley's is currently undergoing renovation and only a small part of the newly renovated dining interior is open for now. The open area is currently a newly built fill in of an old alley way, which you would have a difficult time guessing if you were new to the area and not on the sidewalk/patio seating area. Good clean atmosphere, just stopped in for drinks with a client, the drink selection is good, with many local options.

Had lunch on a weekday. Excellent Food and service. I must deduct one star for the noise level. An absolute deafening cacophony. Everyone at our table had to yell to be heard by the person next to oneself, and just forget about speaking to anyone further away. I highly suggest installing some sound absorbing decor. carpeting, textured ceiling or walls. Anything would help.

One of the best restaurants in Milwaukee overall. Server was friendly, knowledgeable and offered good recommendations; just the right amount of attentiveness. Only negative--kitchen was extremely slow. It took us 2 hours to eat dinner from 9-11pm, plan accordingly. The restaurant was not busy at 9pm; so, I can't imagine peak dinnertime.

A little small, but this is a fantastic restaurant with very nice and helpful wait staff. The food was great, the drinks were great. I happened to stop by with an employee after a light flight for a business trip and was pleasantly surprised with Buckley's. Definitely plan on going back the next time I go to Milwaukee.

Dinner at the bar was relaxed and filled with amazing food, drink and conversation with Wolfgang and other viaitors. The salmon and berries was delicious and the carrot cake exceeded expectations! Loved accidentally running into this quiant, little spot. The bloodies were delish and homemade, bahn mi and pasta were yummy, beet tartare was on point. All of the things, including the atmosphere, were so awesome. Wolfgang took great care of us. Apparently, it is meatloaf Monday every week, we didn't get it, but it looked sooo amazing I had to snap a picture of the guys plate next to me. Well done, will for sure be back for the meatloaf.

The gnocchi with lobster is something to write home about! The short ribs fall apart like butter. The wild boar was tender and flavorful served with al dente pasta. Every single course was on point. Buckley's is my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee-- I walk by on my way to work in the morning and the owners are always outside at 745 am tending to the flowers and patio/sidewalk. They always are sooo friendly and really bring a smile to my face just by walking by in the morning! When I get to stop their on weekends for brunch it's just amazing-- the duck confit ragu is insane-- so rich and delightful-- pair that with a habenero bloody mary and you have the perfect start to a lazy sunday.

Ally B was our server for our first time here, she was absolutely wonderful. She deserves a raise! The food was wonderful, one of the best steaks I have ever had, the key lime pie for dessert was to die for!

My wife and I showed up without a reservation on a Saturday night and got seats at the bar. The three bartenders were entertaining and attentive. They have an extensive whiskey selection, and the food was phenomenal. Will definitely keep this place in mind next time we are back in Milwaukee.

It was okay at best. I went on Valentine’s Day so maybe it was too busy for them or whatever, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Anyways, I ordered the salmon as “medium” and it came out cold, not warm, or Luke warm, but cold. My significant other ordered the steak which was cooked to the right temp but the cut of the meat looked like what appeared to be flank steak; the price they’re asking for steak seems to be outrageous compared to what you’re getting. The cocktails were amazing. I got the old fashion, it was pretty expensive ($15) but it was pretty good and came out fast. The ambience and cleanliness at the restaurant are good too. The food just needed a little work.
