Delicious food and drinks! Stellar service! This was our second time visiting Black Sheep MKE. This time around we decided to have dinner and not just drinks. The service staff was friendly and courteous, our server was very attentive to our needs and requests. Food is delicious, there wasn’t a single thing I would change from our meals. 5/5 recommend this place for date night, friendly hangout or just for drinks!

Picked Black Sheep for a quick bite and drink, but wasn't able to get a table so we sat at the bar. We had great service and ordered burgers, winner winner chicken dinner and more. Food was delicious and so were the drinks. Lovely little place and can't wait to go back. Recommend!!

Hands down one of thee best brunch places in the MKE area. No need to wait 45 minutes across the street when this gem is here. We frequent here for brunch on Sundays and have yet to be dissatisfied. The wait staff is always friendly and super fun to talk to if you sit at the bar! I although we do love sitting in the patio since it’s dog friendly. I love getting the breakfast poutine and always get at least one Lunchbox shot when here. If you really wanna have a great Sunday, try the Black Sabbath.

Came here in search of their well known cheese curds and they did not disappoint. They were so unique and good! The pancake batter and syrup is a combo with cheese I never thought would be great. Cool atmosphere place as well.

Adriana was a phenomenal waitress I was skeptical after my whitewater location experience. You can also find that review on my profile. However, my brunch here was night and day and it was very affordable. I'm full, the food portion is great for the area, and yes I printed the bill for proof. The music was amazing and they had a bubble blower creating a great atmosphere. I would give you a five-star if you elevated the menu and offered more unique brunch menu items! WE LOVED IT! Didn’t even need to use the service button because THAT was five stars! Don’t get me started on the non-binary bathrooms! That made give y’all 4 stars THANKYOU!

We just returned from breakfast at Black Sheep MKE and had a wonderful experience. We didn’t have reservations so they offered us seats at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and took great care of us. I ordered the avocado toast and they were very easy about changing the eggs from hard boiled to scrambled. The dish was fantastic! I order this whenever I go out for breakfast and this was by far my favorite. As we were leaving, many of the staff said good bye - I love that! I would highly recommend this place for your next meal out!

The food here was DELICIOUS! YOU MUST TRY THE pancake battered cheese curds with syrup (not pictured below as they were gone the second they hit the table) We had the poutine, hangover burger and biscuits and gravy, all were perfectly cooked and so tastey! Oh, and they have a bubble machine which seriously gives me life!

We visited Milwaukee for the night. Wanted to grab something to eat for dinner. We choose Black Sheep. What an awesome place for dinner. Waitress was super great! We started with the mushroom app, can’t remember exactly the name. It was amazing. For dinner I had the Nashville chicken sandwich. It was super good. The fries are the thin ones, which I love! I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner if you are in Milwaukee! Thank you!

This place was amazing! The restaurant itself had a cute, artsy, 3rd Ward vibe. The staff was outstanding, like genuinely fun to talk with. We came here for my birthday and the staff definitely made it a good start to a fun night. The food and drinks were also incredible. We had the seasonal pumpkin risotto and the pumpkin cheesecake and it was delicious. The house sangria was so yummy. All around great experience, give them a try!

The food was just ok. I got the breakfast poutine. I didn't realize the eggs were over easy, so I had to send it back for scrambled eggs. It was also a bit dry so I asked for extra gravy which they charged me for. They also charged me for to go materials which was annoying. The service was good though.

Great spot for drinks and dinner. The wine list is better than most and very impressive. The aesthetic is a classic downtown scene. It’s worth the visit if you’re in town looking for dinner or starting the night in town.

I would first like to say why I am rating this three stars and it’s due to mainly two factors. The food is just good and nothing special along with a lack of flavor in areas where it would be easy to make some. I had the biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were just fine but the gravy lacked any sort of flavor, be it spice or something original in it. The selection of food is very generic to all brunch places making this not much of an experience to remember. We were seated downstairs and most of the tables as wobbly and there is little light down there. I did however like the idea of having a button to call your waiter/waitress when you need something. This made it very easy for when we were ready to order and all. The service from the waitstaff was very good and friendly as well. We got two cups of coffee to go and it was three dollars for a small cup, won’t make that mistake again. I would much rather try other new places in Milwaukee.

Our server Brad hooked it up. Great, quick service and the table loved his recommendation to add steak to the ORECCHIETTE pasta. I got the carbonara and added chicken and it was fire. The restaurant's pancake battered cheese curds were a great take, the syrup makes the dish. Bar staff knew what they were doing with great drinks. Atmosphere was great, with great music in the background and still quiet enough for a conversation. P.s, Brad was the best dressed

We decided to take my mom out for her 69th Bday. From Food to the Staff everything was amazing. It had a great theme and awesome environment. They have adjusted perfect to create a safe area for diners to enjoy. We look forward to returning with other friends and family in the future. In addition to the Restaurant they also have an outside area where you can sit around a fireplace and enjoy with friends.

We were seated right away in the basement which is a bit dark at certain tables. Our table was wobbly so we informed our waiter and asked to sit at a better table, all good, but I think you would know if your tables are wobbly in a more posh place like this. The service has these buttons they give your table to call your waiter to order or if you need anything. Kind of interesting concept, the waiter came everytime we pressed it, which was minimal. We ordered our food and drinks at the same time and our food came before our drinks, that's where I'm knocking this down one star. I get the bar was backed up, but hold off on sending the food order to the kitchen then. The food was okay, and for the price and the atmosphere I just expected better. That is why I knocked off another star because the food was good but not great. I was really excited for the pancake batter cheese curds and they weren't good. My chicken and waffles were decent. The to go coffee is barely a cup of coffee for $3.

Nice food but the chef needs to learn a bit of restraint. The salad was absolutely doused in dressing and the burger I got was medium in the middle (which is what I ordered) but overdone on the outside indicating that the heat was too high.

We had the best server. I dont remember her name off hand. One person in our group was having a rough go from the night before and our server hooked her up with a little hangover remedy (not pictured) she really went above and beyond. This is a great spot for brunch - the food was delicious - they apparently also have wine on tap. I hope to be back soon.

Fantastic experience! It is pricey, but every bite was delicious. We had an order of pretzels with yummy cheese and dipping sauce. The burger I had was full of flavor. My husband ordered the steak which I got a bite of, and it was scrumptious. Also, the flight of coctails was a lot of fun, and I tried things I wouldn't have otherwise. The overall experience was wonderful. The atmosphere was sleek, and out every window a beautiful view. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We hope to be back at the Black Sheep soon.

Black sheep is a great place to grab some good bar food and drinks with friends. Menu is a bit pricey compared to similar restaurants, so we save this one for special occasions. They always have a great selection of seasonal cocktail specials and the food never disappoints. Staff is very friendly as well!

Great part of town. Drinks are good and creative. Servers have always been attentive, whether it is takeout or dinning in. Cool atmosphere inside. I wish the food was better. I've been here 5-10 times and have ordered a variety of items on the menu, and unfortunately, I've always come away unimpressed.

We went last night for my birthday, love how they are set up right now. They recommend reservations. They give you a call button at your table so when you need anything or are ready for putting a order in, you press the call button and the server is there or acknowledges you need them. Such a good idea and we had great service. All of our food was so good, we order appetizers: cheese curds and pretzel (both were so good highly recommend), for dinner the table all ordered: chef's burger, Orecciette, salmon, and cauliflower. Everyone raved about their food. We topped it off with their key lime pie. Cannot say better things. Will be going back.

Went there for Saturday brunch. There was no wait for a table for two. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and my friend got the eggs Benedict. I thought my burrito was a bit on the small side for the price, but it tasted great. It had a toasted cheddar cheese crust around the burrito that was amazing. The Benedict was perfectly cooked, and I believe it was priced a bit more fairly for what she got. We ordered drinks (Bloody Mary for me, and an orange juice/beer drink for my friend). Again, no real complaints on the drinks, they were tasty and refreshing, but a bit pricey IMO. My total was just under 26 bucks for the burrito and the bloody. I’m rating this a 4 out of 5 stars because I thought the service was a bit lackluster for how many people were in the restaurant. She never came and asked us how the food was after she gave it to us, and she took our payment but it took a while for her to get back to us so we could head out. I will come back again because the food was good, but perhaps it was just an off day for the server.

Cocktails are amazing and the happy hour is even better! The outdoor area is cozy featuring individual fire pits. Indoor is spacious with eclectic sheep prints that really show the personality of the place. My only advice, order the Chartreuse specialty cocktail!

As a Walkers Point resident of over 15 years as of 2017, it's nice to see a place like this here for us. My boyfriend and I didn't want to hang out in the "trendy 3rd Ward" with a lot of 21-ish people Saturday night. So at 10:30pm we wanted a bite and a drink. They served food till 11pm and it was delicious. The cocktails were good and not too overpriced. The beer selection was OK but the main reason to go is the pour your own wine wall. We enjoyed our company and the courteous staff, but of course there was still an annoying couple of men next to me, "one uppers" talking about nailing models, cars, and how awesome St. Whatever Island is. You're going to get that anywhere and they kept to themselves. We chose to sit at the bar and not outside or at another table and it was pleasant.

Food was good, service was really lacking. Slow slow slow delivery... at least one hour went by between our appetizers and entrees another 30min went by after we ordered dessert. Server seemed unwilling to go out of her way to check for drinks or things in between. seems like she wanted to kill as many birds with one trip as possible. Should not have taken 3.5 hrs when the BS poses a 2 hr limit to each table's dining time. Paella was sd to include chorizo and there was one small bite of it in my dish. Craft cocktails shd be spirit forward and we shd get what were paying for. We didn't. Taste was good, but alcohol was not up to par. I wouldn't go there again, knowing there are so many other great places w far more timely and attentive service.

My wife and I have annoying and difficult food allergies and desperately wanted to go out to eat. We each saw probable options on their menu, so we went to Black Sheep - and the chef MADE A NEW MENU ITEM for my wife to accommodate her allergies. Food and service at brinch were very good to excellent. All four of us agreed that the quality was there, but the person who had the chicken and waffle said it could have been warmer. The Croque Madame and french fries was excellent. Thickly sliced real ham on toasted sourdough with white cheddar and bechamel and an egg over easy. No problem accommodating my request to hold the chives. The bloody Mary was average, and the place was too darn LOUD. Still I recommend you try it out for yourself.

Black Sheep is a really cool restaurant. It is a little pricey, but the ambiance and quality of food and drinks makes it worth the price. The decor is really neat and the bathrooms have interesting photos on the wall. The seating is very comfortable and it is primarily lit with candles, so it's a relaxed atmosphere. The drink menu seems great. I got the Rose French 75 and it was fantastic. Tuesdays is half priced wine, which is a good deal. They also have the wines on tap which would be fun if you are interested in wine tasting. My personal favorite menu item is the beef brisket rissoto. I also enjoyed the burratta as an appetizer and the creme brulee we had for dessert!

Best risotto I've never had and I'm not normally a risotto person. If I would have changed anything I would have added two more pastured chicken eggs to my order. They had a cocktail with rye, sweet bitters and a spray of absinthe that was out of this world good.

Hipster eating in Walker's Point. The good: generous portion sizes, high quality ingredients, good coffee and bloody Mary. The reason it's a 3-star is the proportions were off. The food is all incredibly rich, so too much of any of the rich ingredients throw off the dish. The Croque Madame had too much cheese, it overwhelmed the dish. Add to that, the bechamel sauce wasn't finished properly so it had a raw, flour flavor, which is a shame because the egg was perfect and the ham was delicious. The Bloody Mary was phenomenal, but both dishes I tried (poutine and duck) were pretty bland. Another person with me was in love with the waffles with short rib though, so maybe try that if you go for a Bloody Mary.
