We're new in town and we took a walk to find a lunch spot. Luckily we took a crack at the BelAir Cantina on a Thursday and enjoyed a nice cocktail/beer and some $2 tacos (Tues & Thurs). We sat at the bar and had a very enjoyable afternoon break. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the service and the food. Something tells me we'll be back! Recommend

Haven't been here since Taco Tuesdays in college, but overall I had a good time. Not much has changed, you still get rice and beans with 3 tacos, there are some creative tacos on the list, and obviously margarita pitchers. Food was good, pretty much on par with the other Western style taco places like vagabond, not as good as blue bat, and not comparable to an authentic place like botanas. Bel air is a great place for a quick lunch or a dinner spot for friends on the weekend.

100% a must-try Mexican shop in Milwaukee. I’m in town on business and ordered delivery from Belair - no regrets. Being from the land of tex mex, but no longer living where there’s many option, this was a much appreciated trip down memory lane. All the way around it was really good. Queso blanco + chorizo = 8/10 Chicharonnes = 7/10 Shrimp chimi = 8/10 Prices were fair and the order was prepared super quick so delivery was fast, too. Big fan of the whole operation. Hopefully I can visit in person sometime. Easy to recommend.

Absolutely love it here! At a recent brunch visit, which is quite amazing since you get a fun brunch menu plus the normal menu, the Bloody Mary was fantastic (see pic) with taco and roasted pepper! I highly recommend the Surfer Breakfast for brunch, kind of make your own vegetarian style, breakfast tacos, delish!

I liked the vibe, food and cocktails here. I didn’t have high expectations for Milwaukee Mexican food but I enjoyed it over all. Very casual but solid little Milwaukee joint. We sat at the bar and Cole was fun to talk to. I would go back.

This is one of those establishments that has declined over time. Recently, they took the barbacoa off of their menu, which is a big disappointment, and overall, the food isn't anything special -- and the $2 tacos have decreased in quality as well. The only thing I really rave about is the chips and salsa, and the house margarita is pretty good as well.

Let's get to the point, the frozen margarita was ON POINT! One of the best I had in a while. Nice place, Good vibes! The bar staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The dish I had wasn't all that I have to admit, I went on a saturday night around 9, it wasn't too packed. Get 3 tacos and get rice and beans for free. I certainly had better mexican food, the food doesn't give me mexican food vibes but I will be going back for the drinks!

I keep telling myself don't be bias. Stick to Tacos only, thank me later. We had a new waiter so service was very slow. At one point I thought we were forgotten. Drinks and food came out at the same time. The burritos were so basic and just won't fill you up. Ambiance and vibes were good, but I am paying for food and service and they were both meh.

Went here on my lunch break, and my words... I see why it’s always packed. My tacos I had the meat was tender and seasoned perfectly and my spice was right in the middle not to hot kind of mild, but I would’ve loved some heat l🌮🌮🌮☣️☢️🌋🔥 And the chips and dip was a good snack not a appetizer. But would love. A bigger dipping bowl. Must go!!!

Honestly, I hate that I love belair. It’s absolutely classic. Sad that they got rid of their $5 marg and mezcal Monday deals bc that would bring me in more, but they have great fusion tacos. It would be better if their servers knew what was going on. It’s always interesting w service… lol

I'd been hearing rave reviews about this place for months, after several family members moved to the area. I finally had the opportunity to go and it was well worth the hype. The chips and salsa are presented with a selection of three salsas that are very distinct and delicious. The taco list is lengthy and everything I had (Barbados, spicy chicken, ninja pig??) were great. Very good house margaritas too... although the pitcher $$$ can quickly add up with a good sized group. Fortunately, they have some specials from 11a-3p on certain days (if day drinking is your thing). 10/10... will taco there again!

I like the different style of tacos. I enjoy the veggie nachos. Delicious. My favorite is the Korean Beef taco on flour or the Korean Beef Bowl. I usually go to the one on North Ave. The was a long strand of hair in my food at this one.. 😔. I wasn’t refunded or brought a replacement. My meal was over after I complained. My waitress was great though. Young, not even 21 and full of life. Not her fault but it could’ve been handled better. Bring back hairnets. They matter.

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee! I eat here about 3 times a week, live 2 doors down, and I still never get sick of it. If you're getting a burrito, do the carne asada (the burritos are about as big as a normal human head) and for tacos I recommend the Baja tilapia, corn and black bean, and also carne asada. Try them with a side of their queso fundido, and make sure to try all the salsas!

Happily surprised! Was looking for a quick lunch location. This place wasn't crowded and had friendly service. Complementary chips and salsa were great. They serve 3 types of salsa that is made fresh daily. None of the 3 were too spicy and all were flavorful. I had a simple plate of tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were generously filled with meat that was prepared with a very tasty seasoning. The rice and beans were also outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant and will definitely return!

Great drinks. Solid waitstaff and great tacos. It's a local chain and it has a price point of a normal restaurant, but the diversity in the options are great. They have both traditional tacos and less common ones like plantain and Korean pork belly that make the spot unique.

Not a true Mexican food restaurant. Food w a s not bad per say but who puts the lettuce in the chimachunga and deep fries it!!! That's why authentic Mexican food puts shredded lettuce on top with diced tomatoes and casso when it is served . Their salsa is pretty good. Pork taco was super dry and chewy. Good staff but taste was not worth the drive. Nice place to probably have a draft and some chips and dip.

Not busy around 4. I ordered Korean steak taco and spicy polo, it was really tasty and not bland unlike the last time I was here before covid. The only downside is the meat was a little dry and over done. The bartender was very nice and informative.

I’ve been going here for years for their 2 buck taco’s on Tuesday and Thursdays. It was once my spot cause it was one of they few spots open late for tacos but they closed earlier once COVID hit. If it wasn’t for their earlier closing I would rate higher, I wish they would go back to their old times .

"Wow! Dinner was so good!"-every guest at our recent wedding. My husband and I had BelAir cater our wedding reception and we could not have loved it more! We went with the taco bar and it was a hit! So many choices to choose from (we chose carnitas, black bean & corn, and pollo verde) and condiments to match (delicious and flavorful salsas, crema, chips, rice and beans). No one was left hungry :). We also had guacamole and esquite as our happy hour apps and they were just as wonderful! We had the pleasure of working with Tessa who was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. She was on top of everything, prompt in answering questions and accommodating to all of our requests. The food was fresh and ready for the guests as dinner started, the buffet line was extremely efficient and the staff were friendly. We HIGHLY recommend catering through BelAir for your reception (or any event for that matter!) to meet all of your taco cravings and satisfy all your guests with the great variety of options they offer! Thank you for being such an awesome addition to our wonderful evening, BelAir!

They give chips and salsa to start and all 3 salsas were tasty. Tacos were unique and delicious...but a tad pricey. But, due to the service, I'm giving 3 stars. Our server got my margarita wrong twice, never came back to check on us after we got our food, and pretty much was never around(needed pop refilled, extra napkins, etc). Then, when we paid, I gave $10 extra, asked for change, and still got the $10 bill back. Some of the worst service I've had anywhere in a long time.

Shrimp Ceviche was incredible. They serve chips with 3 types of really good salsa and refill them as much as you want. Their tacos range from classic to unique, and their drinks are really tasty. Cocktails are about $9 on average which is high but pretty standard for Milwaukee. I personally recommend the fried avocado and bacon taco!

The Carne Asada tastes absolutely nothing like carne asada and for that alone they get 2 stars down. The salsa verde was rather sour so I’m not sure the tomatillos were prepared properly but it wasn’t bad. The water gave us waaaaay too much money back and I ended up with more money than I gave him so I’ll keep it at 3. But seriously don’t order the carne asada if you’ve had the real thing it’s just a waste of money

The tortilla on the taco's feel under cooked sometimes but the stuff the put in it definitely makes up for it.. Kinda. This location and the one on Downer seem to be more worried about looking hip than providing good service. Maybe I've been in the customer service industry for too long see things differently but it's not what I would expect at a place like this. Most of these servers don't have any sort of customers relations skills. Hope they improve. Good food!

Good place for lunch or a snack. Went with my friends. Customer service, food, and atmosphere was great.They had to open the window and air out the place from a gas leak and a rubber piece of the window flew off splashing our appetizer across the table. Only suggestion I have is that they should sweep under tables and wipe down the benches before sitting people down.

Great Mexican joint in Milwaukee. Super hip vibe with pretty nice outdoor seating. The menu has a wide variety of the usual Mexican fare with some interesting twists. The food I ended up getting was great. The drink menu is pretty ample as well. Decent number of beers on tap and if tequila is your thing there's a whole side of the drink menu for you. Great service as well. The dinner I had was definitely worth the price.

Really good food, but they don't seem to have figured out their pandemic workflow even 8 months in. I ordered for curbside pickup, clicked the "I'm Here" link, and...waited ten minutes. Nothing. Then went inside and nobody acknowledged me for another ten minutes. Then told me to go down to a different entrance where my order was bagged and hidden behind their "pick up your order here" shelving where other orders were displayed. I get it, the pandemic makes things different, but it's not unreasonable to expect that they would be able to do better with 8 months to practice.

Really enjoyed this place during a recent visit in Milwaukee! Loved the trio of salsas with chips for appetizer. The two tacos I ordered were so flavorful, delicious, and different from one another. Highly recommend. Looking forward to returning.

I REALLY wanted to love this place. Cool looking building, great decor inside. Friendly staff, nice bar. However the food SUCKS! The 3 salsas brought to the table (with chips) were unique, but none of them were terribly tasty. We went for Taco Tuesday and tried the steak, pork, and 2 chicken tacos under the taco tuesday deal. All of them were okay. Not terrible. But nothing I would ever want again. Also the menu looks nice and has pretty font. But it reads terribly. There's no flow to the menu.

I always love coming here for cheap food and drinks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Just because the food is cheap though, doesn't mean it lacks quality. The tacos are excellent and I've accidentally filled up on the free chips and salsa on more than one occasion. On my last visit I tried the Journey House taco which used plantains and herbs(rosemary?) to create an amazing flavor. The profits from that taco also go to a local nonprofit. I would highly recommend it!

Just had my first pleasant food experience here in how many years of Milwaukee living and trying it again and again. Had to give some credit because this place has been rough for me in terms of quality. I went with fellow industry friends and all 4 of the tacos I had were better than the 50 tacos I had previously eaten here. Beans, rice, sauces, and most importantly the meats were perfectly cooked. Not sure what stepped up in the kitchen here but keep it up. Seriously, I'll be back sooner and plan to tell other industry friends that know of my annoyance with BelAir that they crushed it in terms of food quality this time. Service was also a notch up.

The go-to place for Tacos and Margherita. I first visited their Milwaukee location, they impressed me with their rustic charm and amazing food. Their Madison location, though a bit upscale, doesn't disappoint. The food is good and the ambience vibrant. With an outdoor deck for the summers this has become a great weekend spot for me and my friends.

chips and 3 great dips ready for you when you sit down. A great variety of tacos is the main attraction. Don't miss the vegetarian ones, they are fantastic. Also reasonable tap and drink options. Watch out for Tuesday's and Thursdays for dinner you could be waiting up to 2 hours due to the taco special. (Hint go during lunch for a super lunch for cheap!)

Service is usually hit or miss, same with quality of the tacos. I've had both great and sub par experiences here. Sometimes the shrimp and seafood tastes quite fishy, other times it's much more fresh and clean. Due to this, I really only come for the $2 taco Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have also been here for brunch and that was a solid experience, bloody Mary with a Mexican twist was alright.

The food here offers a healthy fusion of various cultural cuisines from all over the world centering on a Mexican-American delivery. Only been here once but I loved their fresh chips and salsa and the Korean Beef burrito I had. Only thing I didn't like were the drinks. Took my friend out for his 21st last time I went and the drink he ordered was too expensive and tasted horrible. Stay away from the drinks and you'll have a good time.

Taco Tuesday's here aren't good anymore, they cut down on their menu for it. Overall menu is good. Drinks are good. There is usually a wait on busy days, it's a smaller place if the patio isn't open. Great spot on the river.

Bel air used to have great taco Tuesday deals, but now they've slimmed down the selection to bare bones tacos (bel air replied to me and told me they rotate their selection, so I guess I was just there when there weren't many options I personally liked) And I'm pretty sure you have to pay for chips and salsa now. I thought prices were increased post-covid, but Bel-Air replied to me and told me they haven't. The staff were very friendly and helpful, when they were available. They were short staffed (not their fault). I will still go here, but the quality and price of kompali or corazon beats Bel-Air by a long shot.

Fast service. Very busy between 5pm and 9pm. Probably a 30 to 60 min wait. Put your number in and head across the street to Stubby's for a beer while you wait. Taco Tuesdays/Thursdays are fantastic and you can have a full meal for less than 10. Chips and 3 types of Salsa come automatically. The Tacos are great and they're always adding new ones. Good Mexican fare and a great atmosphere. Lots to choose from. Vegetarian and Gluten Free options.

It's been a while since I was at Belair and I have no idea what took me so long to get back. The portions are generous and not terribly expensive and their drink menu is pretty great. I especially liked the Korean beef taco and the esquite.

Okay I never write reviews but the workers here are just some of the nicest and kindest people I’ve ever encountered. Ordered some food via Uber eats for pickup and someone decided to steal my order. No big deal, people suck, not the workers fault. They apologized profusely and I asked if I could sit at the bar and have a quick drink while I wait. The girl bartending was so sweet and made the best drinks. The guy handling the orders was so personable and nice, as well. They not only gave me a complimentary marg and tequila shot, but made me feel so welcome and happy. I was honestly having a bad day until I walked in to pick up my order and met these kind people. Not only are the people so kind, the food is delicious and always fresh. I will always give them my money and will definitely stop in the next time I need a pick me up with kind and amazing strangers. Thank you all for making my night! It seriously meant so much to me that words don’t even do it justice.

A friend of mine met me for lunch here. He recommended this spot for great unique tacos. We Came on taco Tuesday! I loved the variety of options. I couldn't pronounce some of the names but it was fun none the less. We couldn't hear our server with the Loud music, but I like loud. I will go again when in the area!

Good tacos. Really good steak tacos. Tortilla chips are great and you get three dipping sauces. I just think something is missing. They also could use more authentic Mexican dishes. They also have 2 dollar tacos Tuesday and Thursday.

My boyfriend and I go every Thursday for $2 tacos, but that’s the only reason we keep going back. The tacos are consistently good, especially for the price. The chips and 3 salsas are great as well. BUT, the service is consistently awful, particularly if you sit at the bar. Expect to wait 10-20 minutes to even be noticed or asked if you want a drink. Don’t expect service with a smile or bartenders even attempting to meet the bare minimum of service that would be expected (i.e. getting a drink/menus in a timely manner, getting chips and salsa without asking, checking to see if you need a refill/napkins/silverware or the bill). They’re too busy blatantly texting on their cell phones with a bar full of people to serve you. You’re better off to wait the 30-45 minutes for a table with a waitress/waiter who is usually much friendlier and provides better service.

Great Food, Reasonable Prices, Great Service! I came here with my fiance last Saturday and the place was packed! We were told there was a 25 minute wait so we sat at the bar and ordered 2 Spotted Cows on tap for $4 each and watched the Brewers game. We were seated in less than 15 minutes. At our table, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful waitress who made sure we had full glasses and plenty of chips & 3 varieties of salsa. We each ordered a burrito, one a chicken bowl, the other a regular steak burrito. They were around $10 each but were huge! We ended up leaving completely full with a bill under $30 including tip and leftovers for each of us. We will definitely be coming back to try the fajitas!

Went on Taco Tuesday ($2 select tacos). Had 3 tacos, rice, beans, and a $2 beer all for under $10 (not including tip). Had to wait 15 minutes for a seat, but the wait was worth it. The only knock I can see on this place is that it IS a little small. The prices were great, the service was on par, and the atmosphere fit the menu (Cali-Mex). Will be back again soon!

Always a wonderful experience here! Tuesday and Thursday select tacos are $2 each and if you get 3 you get rice & beans for free! Margiratas here are too! El cheapo is a Greg value great (and you can't really taste the difference between bottom shelf and "nice" tequila when blended). Mix in fruit flavoring (raspberry, strawberry, or mango) for only $0.75 and take it to a whole other level! Definitely recommend this spot for anyone new to the area or just craving tacos for a great price!

BelAir is a good and unique atmosphere. One thing to note is that this place does not serve traditional Mexican food. It is more of a Southern Californian menu. If you want traditional Mexican food you should try else where. That said if you would like a unique selection of Tacos and Burritos this place certainly delivers. It also has a full bar and many different flavors of frozen margaritas which are perfect for Milwaukee Summer days. There is also patio seating. If you plan to come in on a Tuesday or Thursday expect a wait as there is a special that draws dozens of extra customers per hour.

If I had a dollar for every time I had a delicious meal from here I would have at least.... like $45? I don't think I have ever been disappointed other than the times when you have to wait which you can just pop across the street to Finks Bar (also owned by Bel Air) and they will text you when your table is ready, so stop complaining. Also the best salsa is the Orange one (spicy arbol). You are welcome. There is also a secret taco on the menu which is just cheese and beans, it is delicious and incredibly unhealthy for you.

Went to Bel Air on the East Side for our staff holiday lunch today..... Their service was spot on, didn't miss a beat! No small task serving 20+ people in under 1 hour! Food was hot, fresh and really authentically delicious! I've been to Oaxaca and I can say this was very close to authentic... the server was friendly and he was totally helpful to us with deciding on dishes .... great place!

This restaurant is in a nice location, had a great vibe and was really cute and funky with its art throughout the restaurant. We called ahead of time because we were going to have a party of six and wanted to be sure we could secure a table and were told that at the time we would be arriving there would be a table available. There were no front tables available and we waited about 15 minutes and a waitress came over after the host left us there waiting and she took us immediately to the back, which was another part of the restaurant that was entirely empty. That was kind of her to come and take care of us and seat us. The salsa that they brought to the table was delicious! The presentation on their plating was beautiful, but every dish that was ordered at our table, the comments were the same; the food lacked seasoning and was Bland. And although our waitress did seem polite, she didn't come over as frequently to refill our drinks, to check on us or give us enough napkins for our table. We had to flag her down twice and then after the second time we just asked for boxes and left.

Classic Milwaukee stop on the Lower East Side. BelAir has some good tacos, but a number of them are a bit underwhelming. I'm never full but my wallet always feels pretty empty when we leave. Great staff, just wish their serving sizes were more generous or their food more varied. Not bad Mexican fare, plenty of healthy options, ultimately a good place with some character to it where you can find decent tacos. Just be prepared for the crowd on Taco Tuesdays and Thursdays!

Let me start by saying I am vegetarian The vegetarian items on the menu are all super delicious. We usually start with the esquite which is usually quite flavoful. I do love the nachos. It tempts me every time I come here. I miss the Port Queso as an option for the $2 taco night as I feel it is the best vegetarian taco on the menu, but it doesn't stop me from ordering it. The burrito is also quite delicious. Haven't had dessert here because the main meal fills me up :)

Great Taco Sunday Brunch from 11- 3. They have about 15 different types of Tacos. I had Habanero Pork & Ninja Pork Tacos. Good flavor with added Cilantro. The Black Beans & Rice were topper with fried plantain. We had a pitcher of Margaritas, that was the best Margaritas I've had in a long time. I would definitely go back.

This place is amazing—simply the best tacos in Milwaukee. The drinks are great as well. The only problem I've ever had is the lack of ability to put your name down, even if you are on your way in. It's a very busy place, and unless you get there around 5pm, you are stuck with waiting an hour or more for a table. Service, while very good usually, is generally slower due to the quantity of customers. I almost wish this place wasn't as popular, so I could get in and enjoy it more. This is probably a good problem for them to have ;)

It was a Sunday night, and I was waiting for friends from out of town. The kitchen was closed by then, so I waited at the bar. When my friends arrived, we had a drink at the bar. We could tell it was close to closing time, but the bartender and staff allowed us to hang out without being impatient. I live in the neighborhood, so I eat there regularly. The food and service is always prompt and flavorful. I was glad to see that they also go the extra mile take care of the customer in other respects as well.

We went for Taco Thursday a couple weeks ago with a large group of 7 people. We changed the number of people at our table multiple times before being seated and each time the hosts were very accommodating. Our waiter put up with our weird friends and provided amazing service to our table. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas to share (the pitcher held 6 margs, we had a bet going with our waiter- he won!). The best taco I had was the barbacoa but the fish taco was somewhat dry and lacked flavor. Everyone else at the table loved their meals! TLDR: great service from start to finish, great prices, and good food. Go on a Tuesday or Thursday for the $2 tacos!

Been here many times for dinner and lunch and had a great experience, but brunch was disappointing. Two people ordered the same thing, just one without cheese, and upon bringing it to the table they told us they didn't know which was which and we had to figure it out. My meal came out about 15 minutes after the rest of my party, and was not very tasty. I got the french toast, and the sauce was cold, unappetizing, and globby. 5 stars for lunch and dinner, 2 stars for brunch.

Great service. Loved the guacamole and the complimentary warm chips served with 3 types of salsa. The Wednesday Special -- shrimp enchiladas -- were excellent! Wish I had gotten 2 of those. But I got one enchilada and one carnitas taco. The carnitas were pretty tough but good flavor. My husband felt the same way -- loved the shrimp enchilada but the meat in his Korean Beef taco was seriously overcooked and tough. We'll come back for the shrimp dishes. Enchiladas only served on Wednesday but you can get the same shrimp in tacos.

I like the open element vibes of Bel Air, and definitely caters to the younger demographic of Milwaukee. I Service is usually friendly, but I have had my order screwed up on a few occasions. The food itself isn't anything exemplary, but it isn't bad either. It's just decent food. If you are looking for traditional Mexican food, I would probably look elsewhere. Many of the dishes are Americanized. Bel Air Cantina is a festive and convenient place to eat with friends.

Every time I have been there, I left disappointed. The first time we were sat and no one came to us at all for 10 minutes. We then walked out. The second time we got beers and queso a about half way through our beer the server dropped the check off. We weren't going to be done, but we sure were after that. Delicious! I can't say enough good things about the tacos here. They have a ton of variety so everyone is bound to find something they like, the meat is all juicy and full and flavor and they're topped with all kinds of fresh flavors. The Korean beef taco is my favorite. The flavor on the beef is delicious with just a hint of sweetness. The jicama and carrot slaw on top adds a nice crunch and the sriracha crema adds a little bit of heat rounding out the flavor. The ninja pig taco was also delightful, again the pork was flavorful and the pickled veggies on top were nice and fresh. The black beans they served on the side were delicious! There was a little seasoning on them that made them especially tasty. We also enjoyed the fresh guac which was tasty - lots of lime and big chunks of avocado. Corn is another favorite of mine at Mexican restaurants and theirs does not disappoint. It has a nice creaminess from the cheese plus a little heat from the Chile powder with the corn itself adding some sweetness. An all around great place to eat!

Bel Air has been on my list to try for some time. I really wanted to like this place, but honestly I was underwhelmed. I always try a Taco Al Pastor when I visit a place for the first time, and the pork tasted stewed, not spit roasted - I was disappointed. I tried another taco, and the description of the taco was better than the taco itself. The salsas that come with the chips are really tasty. If you're looking for some tacos, tortas or burritos, you're better off going to El Cabrito, Jose's Blue Sombrero or El Jefe.

First off, make sure you go on Taco Tuesdays. Not only are many of the tacos only $2, but so are the tamales. That's a steal! The chips and three salsas they bring out are all really good. I could eat those all day! The tacos are more hit and miss. The chorizo was delicious, but the carne asada was flavorless. I liked the flavor on the spicy chicken a lot, but it wasn't very spicy. The chicken tamale was fantastic though.

I’ve been coming here since 2012 and it used to be my #1 restaurant in Milwaukee, however in the last year or two I’ve been very disappointed in the direction the menu is going the selection and options have decreased considerably across the board from a full three double sided page menu down to a one page double sided menu. A lot of my favorite items to order have disappeared including the shrimp sopa, the ahi tuna tostadas, and the fajitas. On a positive note though the enchiladas are still always delicious

I'm torn on this place, on one hand I love it because its a good late night spot to get a bite to eat. On the flip side if you want to go at any other time there is a ridiculous wait. The margaritas are great and the Taco Tuesday deal is awesome but again be prepared to wait. Overall, the variety of different unique tacos will bring me back but the wait times will make my visits more infrequent.

I am not from WI but when I took my family to dinner here when we were on vacation we were truly impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Very fun, hipster decor (my style), another bonus is that it was within walking distance from Lake Michigan! We went earlier in the dinner rush so we did not have to wait to be seated. Our waitress, Vianna, went above and beyond her way to give us the 411 on cool things to do while we were in town and even wrote some stuff down for us! She was knowledgeable about the city and its many wonders. She recommended non-traditional stuff, not museums or "popular" stuff that I came across in my research. She was very pleasant, honest, real, and made us feel welcomed. She was a breath of "fresh" air and you don't meet many people that will go above and beyond in their jobs anymore. To the food: The margaritas were delish, the food was really good, very hefty portions. 100% authentic? ... i'm no expert but probably not. (However, your in the mid-west so is anything "authentic"). The only complaint that I have is the food was stingy on the meat but it wouldn't be a deal breaker if I were to return to Milwaukee. My 4 year old, very picky eater, was with and she enjoyed the cheese quesadilla, and chips.

Food was good. We went when it was just starting to get busy, however it still took over 20min to get our food which I think is too long. Also the service wasn't great. The waitress was slow to take our order and get us our drinks. Then we were charged a $2 fee for her to bring an extra plate, which she never brought and didn't come back to the table until the end of the meal.

I have been to Bel Air several times and have had mostly great experiences. We usually like to go on taco tuesdays, and expect to wait a bit for a table since it is such a popular place. Well this tuesday proved to be exactly that. Not only did we wait over and hour for a table which we were promised a 20 min wait, but we also did not get our food for over an hour and a half once seated. Ok I get it they were busy, but a table that was seated after us got their food before us. It took over 30 min just to get our beverages, and to top it off, once we received the bill, and it was taken back to swipe our cards it took another 30 min just to get it back so we could sign and leave. To say that we were irritated is an understatement. We asked to talk to a manager, but noone was available. We also asked how much longer for our food, and it was explained that our order was in, and nothing further. They did not even offer to discount our food at all. We were there over 4 hrs... Im sorry I like the food, but the wait was not worth it. The best part was this was a birthday celebration, but ended up being a nightmare. I am not sure if I will go back, as this has left a sour taste for me. Another table around us left without paying they got so annoyed. We at least had the decency to stay and pay.

The complimentary Triple Dish of Salsa, kick's off a meal in the right direction. The collection of salsas shows BelAir Cantina's creativity and broad flavor range. It was my first time having there Churizo Breakfast Burrito, so delicious and so large I had to take 1/3 of it home to go! Lively and exciting atmosphere. I went there 2 months ago and still dream about my carne esata burrito. I don't live in MKE so I don't get down there much. Food is affordable and portions are more than enough. Could have gone without the loud drunk kids at the bar at 2pm on a Saturday and the loud music. It's the food that counts to me! I have La Chiminea in my neck of the woods and Belair is a million times more fresh and TASTY. My food was reheated then served to me at La Chiminea and I have never been back. Thank you Belair for making me real food!
