Quite small. Much smaller than the pictures led me to believe I guess. The staff was friendly and attentive refilling our waters regularly. Cheese curds were OK to GOOD but not great. The cheese was a bit stiff in the batter when hot still. Burger was good, Milwaukee. Tater tots were a bit too salty for my tastes. I think they are generally salty without adding extra to them. All in all good stop, but I don't think I'll be back....I don't live anywhere around.

This is the go to place for me when I go to Milwaukee. The atmosphere is great, they have lots of peanuts and they deliver them to you by sliding a “bomb” down to hit a target and your table and the peanuts come out of it. I would recommend the Cheese curds they are some of my favorites. It’s a great place to bring your family for lunch. Overall this is one of the best places to eat in Milwaukee.

Cheese curds!!! The dipping sauce is so good too. We had excellent burgers, tater tots, fries, side salad, and classic vanilla shakes. Everything we ordered was delicious and the peanut delivery was hilarious. The graffiti everywhere was fun to chat about while waiting for our orders.

It was good, I don't think we didn't not like anything. I remember my cheese curds were really good. Fun atmosphere, ask for peanuts if your in one of the booths. Your in for a treat. Easy to get too. Not a ton of parking, and expect to pay for parking at certain times. But overall good and a fun place

Pretty solid food here. Fried pickles and cheese curds, burgers with fries, and chicken tenders and tater tots. Also ordered a Root Beer Float and a Finnish Long Drink...even the zero carb one that I love. It made my day! We enjoyed the meal and the service. The only thing that was a bummer was there was no dedicated parking lot. So, there's only street parking...ugh.

My experience was great though I wish the bartender was paying just a tad bit more attention to us . I had 1 drink the whole time I was there and I definitely understand when they're busy the place was not that crowded and it wasn't rush hour. But it was still really good food.

The restaurant is super cute and had a piece of a B52 bomber (?) hanging for decoration. Wait staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was great, we got the frickles, cheese curds, tiger burger, and the barrie burger. All of these were fantastic (best cheese curds and burgers around here)! I thought they would have more on the menu, but this place was an amazing find and would definitely go back.

Food was good service not so great. Sat at the bar and took a while to hear a greeting. Put all the food in and ended up doing Burger to go. Never offered peanuts which I believed to be the ge mic. I will say the veggie patty made up for the service. Very solid and delicious. Be mindful if you alter the burger because you will be charged for every swap.

Damn that was a good burger. My server, I believe he said his name was Cameron, said "The Big Boy Tribute was like a Big Mac made the way its supposed to taste." He was right. Best burger I've had in recent memory. Fried were great too. Nit a huge plate but it was enough. The environment was bar-like. Loud. Free peanuts that are send via overhead rail in a bomb shaped deli wry vehicle. I'll be back. Soon.

I visited last night when I got into town around 5ish. They restaurant was really busy (great sign for a Monday!) So I sat at the bar because I was by myself. I got the Bloody Mary, and it came with a burger patty slice, bacon, cheese, pickles, olives, lime and lemon.. everything you want on a bloody! Not to mention the beer "chaser" (they give you an entire small bottle of Miller high life or lite) 😂 I was blown away! The pretzels and bacon cheese dip were delicious, but i still ordered a burger to get the full experience. It was super hot and juicy! And the fries were really crispy too! I had a blast hanging out at the bar and watching them send the peanut ration bombs around the restaurant too, I'd never seen anything like that before. The bartender was a total sweetheart, she was all smiles and super helpful. Regretfully I didn't ask her name or I'd share it here so she gets credit! Didn't get a picture of the burger because I dug right in! Lol

Large variety of burger options, shakes, and sides. Very tasty food, prices are ok given where it’s located. Only negative was the waitress we had did not give us peanuts nor tell us about any of the specials. She did give everyone else around us peanuts and was much more friendly to others. Being a first timer here we didn’t know about the peanuts or specials until we saw everyone else getting them and being told what specials were occurring. We asked for a new waitress and was then provided with excellent service. Overall a good experience and I definitely recommend! Also try the frickles (fried pickles) 😀

Excellent place for burgers, cheese curds, and milkshakes! The "old school" bomber decor is very cool. Our server was very friendly and the wait time was reasonable. The cheese curds were great, especially with the spicy dipping sauce. Everyone in my group liked their milkshakes; we had the Mint Oreo Brownie, Cinnamon Crunch, Peanut Butter Obsession, and regular chocolate. The Barrie Burger was delicious! Beef was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. There's enough peanut butter to add interesting flavor without being overpowering. If you're in Milwaukee definitely check this place out!

This is a really cool place the bartender was awesome answered some questions, but there wife really wanted a bloody Mary so that's what she got and they certainly did not disappoint! Really good flavor like the couple olives and pickle slice and of course the mini hamburger was delicious also... Can't wait to go back here spend some more time there everybody was super nice there also!

Got the Nashville Hot Waffle Cone, Buffalo Chicken Eggroll, Cheese Curds, and the Original Burger and everything was solid. Not a MUST visit in my opinion, but it you come you won't be disappointed.

We decided to stop by AJ Bombers after watching the Food Wars episode where they won against Sobelman's. We wanted to see for ourselves! We would recommend going with a booth so that way you can order peanuts to be delivered by bomber - booths are limited so there may be a longer waiting period depending on when you go. Their burgers are pretty dang good and the bomber gimmick makes AJ's a great option, especially for first-time visitors to Milwaukee, but we do prefer Sobelman's just a tad more for having fluffier buns. Still, it's worth seeing for yourself and making your own decision on which top-tier burger joint is the best in the city!

Came here for lunch on Saturday, around 2:00pm. Nice small restaurant. Overall the food was good. I was a little bit disappointed with the veggie burger, it was dry and mushy. The prices online were different from their physical menu, they need to update that! Service was okay, we were seated at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and attentive. It started getting busier around 3:00pm, so service was a little bit slower than expected. We had to wait a while just to pay for the bill. The music was also a bit loud, but other than that it was an okay experience. We might come back again for the boozy shakes!

AJ Bombers is definitely one of my favorite places to go to for burgers and milkshakes! I love the atmosphere when I step into this restaurant, and all the servers and bartenders are really nice and attentive. I also adore the fact they have delivery as an option because there are days I am too exhausted to go anywhere. I definitely love their chocolate milkshake because it's not overwhelmingly sweet!!

Delicious as always. AJ bombers continues to press with their AJ Burger which I highly recommend. You may think peanut butter on a bacon cheeseburger sounds odd but I can tell you with high certainty that you will not be disappointed. The only issue we had on our visit was being waited to be seated which took a while but they were very busy so it's understandable.

This place was GREAT. We were on a quick visit from California and chose this place at Random. I had whatever their classic double patty burger is and my wife had a chicken wrap. Also had their fried pickles and cheese curds. EVERYTHING was GREAT!! Service was also top notch. Wish we had a few of these in California. Can't recommend enough.

My first time in Wisconsin, and this was the first restaurant we went to. My burger was insanely good. I got an Oreo milkshake, and it was also really good. Tater tots needed a little more flavor tho. Great service. And so fun to see how they “bring” peanuts to the table. 100% would recommend!!

I called to set up reservations for a birthday party of 9 a week in advance. They don't take reservations and that is okay. I then called 5 minutes before arriving to give them a heads up and they told me a 30 minute wait. I said "okay, can I put my name in"? She said "no". I said "okay". My son dropped me at the door to go find parking while I put our names in. Hailey tells me an hour wait. I said " you told me 30 min less than 5 minutes ago." She says "oh well, a couple just came in". I gave our name and she took my cell...they never called us. Hailey is cute as a button on the outside but a liar and the worst hostess. She is doing a wonderful restaurant a disservice.

Disappointed, out of a lot of foods, buffalo chicken egg rolls and pretzels. Had to order something else and wasn't in the mood for a burger. Ordered chicken tenders and they were awful, over cooked and hard to chew. My drink was delicious that's why the 3 stars otherwise it would have been 1.

If you're hungry in Milwaukee and you don't try AJ bombers you're doing yourself a great disservice. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is off the charts. Make sure you ask your server for some peanuts.

Even though covid has changed the process, Aj Bombers was kind enough to send their bomber along the track and drop down the peanuts. The waitress was lovely the food and drinks were delicious and we all had a great time! 2nd review...we had a terrible hostess, indifferent and insincere. I called to give them a heads up on a party of 9, she told me 30 min wait. I understand no reservations, 1st come 1st serve, and no putting your name in...but 5 minutes later when I walked in the door she changed the wait time to an hour. I put in our names and NEVER received a text or call.

We came here because we read the reviews and the location seemed nice. It is mostly street parking, which took us a little bit to find. It wasn't a very busy night, it was a game night though and our order took a long time! Our server was nice, but it took a while for our order to be made and our server hardly checked up on us. We both ordered the Medusa, which was a decent burger, but it wasn't anything memorable or crazy good. I got the cheese curds, which were pretty good! I would come back just for the curds. Their fries were good too, crispy and thin. For the price of everything, it was a bit high. I don't think the quality was worth the price. The peanuts they provide was pretty good, but our server took a long time to refill and didn't pay attention to us, to check. I recommend this place if you like cheese curds or if you're on a casual hangout or date, or like to watch sports! There is a bar, but we didn't order any drinks to try.

Great local staple. With a ragged decore and atmosphere. Very good food, prices and staff. They literally yeet peanuts at you as well to top it all off. Definitely a great place to visit in Milwaukee!

Great experience! Excellent food. The cheese is as good as cheese from Wisconsin should be. Creamy, soft and melts in your mouth. The Bomber sauce is slightly spicy with a sort of mustard like after taste. I included a photo of what I ordered and the picture of the burger with cheese curds on it is what my fiance ordered. The food is phenomenal. The burgers had just three right amount of fast in them to make them juicy and tasty. The fries were seasoned well too and pair well with ketchup. I did also get a Oreo malt, but forgot to take a picture of it. I would highly recommend it. The peanuts they serve for free are not salted, which I'm not a fan of, but that's just personal preference really. Yes, they will provide a sharpie to you to sign your name and leave your mark on the place.

Good food but with painfully slow and mediocre service. Staff seemed very disorganized. Waited 25 minutes for a table and over 45 for our food. Appetizers and meals came out at the same time. Completely different experience than our previous visit.

The grilled chicken cesar wrap was average, the chicken was very dry, very little dressing, otherwise loved the buffalo chicken eggrolls! Service was stellar, and the atmosphere was great.

A really great local beer selection and a great atmosphere. They're definitely dedicated to the theme here, even if the peanut delivery system seems a bit gimmicky. The food was pretty good, but the actual burger patties were pretty sad - you almost need a double to get a normal sized burger. The fries are great!

I actually really like AJ Bombers. It has a bit of a grungy, fun atmosphere. I like how they zipline peanuts over to your table. They also have fun and unique burgers weekly. I tried the Medusa because I enjoy spicy foods and it was delicious. You can always customize the burgers. We also had the buffalo chicken egg rolls and those are fantastic. They're best when hot. The food came quickly and our server was responsive and efficient.

An awesome, no thrills bar and restaurant! This is a great spot to have a beer (or many), a greasy cheeseburger, and unlimited peanuts (that you can throw on the ground!). This is absolutely a fun spot to visit if you're in town and not looking for anything fancy. Side note: the peanut butter cheeseburger is better than it sounds!

This was such a fun environment. The staff was super duper friendly and helpful. The decor was fun to see. The onion strings were super light and flakey. The double cheese burger was very juicy and the meat was perfectly spiced. Don't skip those schlitz onion add on omg delicious! Just a side note, the sides are extra but very worth it. If I came back to visit Milwaukee I'd definitely stop in here again. Thank you

Phenomenal cheesecurds and burgers. Even better, they combine the two! Great location. Wonderful staff in a great atmosphere. Everyone was extremely friendly and observed the social distancing and masks, which is an added bonus for us. Went during the day with the kids, but I'd love to see the night scene! We come from the Chicagoland area, so we plan on being back here often!

Skeptical, but gladly wrong. You dont get many cheese curds, which is disappointing, but the burgers are fantastic. Note: I never go to burger bars and I hate the new fad of them, but I will gladly return here anytime. The decor is pretty cool. You can carve your name in the table or put stickers on the wall, they dont care. The tracks on the ceiling deliver peanuts somewhat inaccurately to bomb chutes, raining peanuts down on people.

Our first stop in Milwaukee was AJ Bombers and it was definitely BOMB!! Our server recommended the Big Boy Tribute (supposed to taste like a Big Mac, and big mac's are my favorite). It was like a Big Mac on STEROIDS!! We inhaled our burgers and only wished we had like 3 extra stomachs to try the rest of the menu items! The boozy shakes were also delicious! I also really appreciate the attention to COVID safety. All the staff wore masks, and customers were asked to wear masks when the servers approached the table. There were also hand sanitizers at every table. I definitely felt comfortable dining here. Thank you for an amazing meal!

At first I was told about this place when it had a location in Madison, WI. Then that place closed down and left me wondering about the marvels of this restaurant. Finally, I made it to Milwaukee and WOW, it was worth the wait and the trip! Not only are there free peanuts for you to eat and toss the shells onto the ground, but the appetizers, like the cheese curds I had, were AMAZING! The burgers are, overall, descent but not some of the best I've had, but still great and creative, especially with tots! I've not had a chance to try their custard or their adult beverages but, hey, it's Milwaukee! I'm sure they are just as amazing.

This place was awesome. Me and my brother stopped in here for what I can only describe as an American tapas and were not disappointed. The barman was excellent. When we asked him to choose some local brews as we are from England and not familiar with the area he did not disappoint. The peanuts are a nice touch and the the ceiling mounted bomb peanut delivery system is one of a kind. All in all a thoroughly great experience. 10/10 would recommend.

I was looking for a place for lunch that we could walk to before a show that had good food and character. AJ Bombers was a perfect find. The food was great. The atmosphere was very cool. The food came out quickly. Don't forget to leave room for dessert! Very good! Bring a few markers if you want to add your own touches to the decor! The service missed a little and a special dish that wasn't caused a dropped star but it wasn't horrible. We will be happy to return for another round when we are in the area.

Perfecto. This place rocks. Great ambiance & great food. The poultine fries and cheese curds rock. The beer selection also amazing. If you don't like IPA they have canned beers / bottles and tall boys. Can't go wrong.

What a cool and fun place for the whole family. The gimmick they have with "the bombs" is great. This place brings me back to my childhood at a different establishment with being encouraged to put your peanut shells on the floor. You are also encouraged to write on the walls. I will highly recommend and go back.

Large servings and interesting atmosphere. Writing all over everything! I didn't see the planes on tracks that dump peanuts actually work, but they looked cool. I ordered the portobello burger, fried. Absolutely delicious and the amount of cheese was suitable for Wisconsin.

This place is a favorite of mine. It is in a cool area and has a cool atmosphere. They have these bombs on treads on the ceiling that when pushed will drop peanuts in bowls and such. So...that's like super cool. Can I swear in Google reviews? Probably not, but if I could, I would to describe this place as fun and cool. The food is also not bad, it's not like amazing or anything, but it is pretty good. They have boozy shakes which is always appreciated and they have some good cheese curds. Oh, and did I mention the big chair outside? How utterly absurd lol

As a tourist, I felt this restaurant was worth the stop. The peanuts are delivered to your table by a dive bomber airplane that is on a rail system. Can't say I've ever seen anything like it! I thought the service was excellent, the food was great, and the cheese curds are a must. Being in Wisconsin, I felt obligated to get the cheese curds. Good thing I did because I think they're now my new favorite food.

Great burgers! All the ingredients are customizable which let's you build whatever you are in the mood for. The friend pickles were good but heavy on the fried batter. We had to wait half an hour for a seat for 3 about an hour after they opened. Based on how few seats there are, I assume there's usually a wait.

The pros: It's a unique atmosphere & a good burger spot. Definitely worth the drive. Service was friendly each time we've been. Middle Ground: It's fun when they "bomb" you with peanuts; that is, if you're seated somewhere that the bombers go to & if the bartender thinks to send one. I'm sure it loses its charm as an employee there all the time, but it's part of the fun & part of why our family chose to go here. We liked the old menu where you checked off each component of how you want your burger, but food was still great. Cons: It's not ADA compliant. All seats inside are bar height or have a step up to climb into a booth. I was hoping that a positive to come from the pandemic would be a heightened attention to cleanliness. Eh. A little sloppy around the edges. Nothing huge, but things like messy ketchup & mustard bottles left that way from previous customers, etc.

Went here for dinner and I had the Barry Burger. Its just a burger, cheese, bacon, and.....peanut butter. I was skeptical. Not gonna lie. But wow was it awesome! I highly recommend it. I also had the Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls as an appetizer (which is a meal in and of itself), and also some cheese curds. Washed it all down with some Spotted Cow beer which is probably one of the best beers in Wisconsin. The service was amazing and expedient. All in all, my family will definitely be back.

It's hard to mess up chicken fingers. It's even harder to make them perfect. I live near Madison and would drive the 70+ mi to come get more. They're THAT good. It's also been a long time since I've stepped inside a restaurant where only 3 people were working the front. And each one of them were covering for the other. They were all helping at the bar, they were all running food and bussing tables. They were hustling and the teamwork they displayed was refreshing. Keep up the excellent work. 👏

We went with friends (and all our kiddos) and found this to be really enjoyable. Good food, interesting atmosphere, clean bathrooms, and nice staff. The only downside is that we went in for a late lunch and had to wait for their kitchen to reopen a little later, but honestly what can you expect during a pandemic when it's hard to hire staff and it was really no trouble! The kids and adults enjoyed being able to graffiti and the peanut "bomb" delivery system overhead. The milkshakes were delicious and worth the wait in and of themselves. Yum! Overall thoughts, worth it and we'd go back.

We were in Milwaukee for the day, and decided to try what is commonly referred to as the "Best Burger in Milwaukee", and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the "Milwaukee" (description in menu pic) with tots and a cold PBR. It was cooked to a perfect medium, and didn't need any condiments at all. Our server, Sammi, was adorable and bubbly, and did an excellent job of making sure that we were taken care of. We travel to Milwaukee often, and plan on returning.

I came across this place because of my son (Student at MSOE) his dorm is right across the street. The burger was excellent. It was very warm, I liked the toasted bun. I also ordered the tater tots, they were hot and perfectly seasoned. I would not hesitate in recommending this to anyone. I had looked at the menu before and really wanted to try all the apps, so that's what we did and split a Barrie burger. Great portions for the apps, everything was delicious. I loved the sauce for cheese curds. The Barrie burger was super yummy also. Juicy and I was alittle apprehensive about the peanut butter but it really was a good combo.

They had a very interesting way of how you can order some of their burgers: you can order them with chunky peanut butter! A strange but good combination of ingredients. I think what was throwing me off the most was the fact that there wasn't that familiar taste of ketchup on there. But the burger was great nonetheless. The fries were also great, not to mention reasonably priced. $7.25 a burger, $1.50 more if you want a combo.

The cheese curds are good--they're unique kind of because of their breading. The sauces are good, too, and I didn't try the drinks, so I don't know how they are. Went here as it seemed like everyone I knew LOVED this place. After going, I’m thinking it’s a bit overrated. The burgers are all right and sides (including fries) were an additional cost. In fact, it seemed like everything had an up charge from toppings to switching out the bun, which would be fine if the burgers were priced such that add ones wouldn’t make it too crazy. But the burgers themselves without the additions are pretty expensive for what you get. You could get the same quality somewhere else for the same if not cheaper price, and not have to worry about additional costs for fries/sides. My order was also prepared incorrectly. I had the Medusa burger and asked that the sauce be put on the side. Sauce was on the burger and overpowered everything! Made for a sloppy mess.

Was in Milwaukee from Chicago for the Bulls game and stopped by this place specifically for the cheese curds which I heard were amazing. Well, they certainly didin't disappoint. Best I've had in all of Milwaukee. We might have you guys beat with pizza, but no way we have cheese curds like this anywhere in Chicago! The place is unique and they have a very fun way of sending peanuts to your table. We decided to stay and have our whole dinner there. The burgers are very good but what surprised me the most was the custard! Made in-house it was absolutely delicious! I had raspberry and there were little bits of raspberry and seeds in the custard, so good and not too sweet. A must have if you come here.

This is a pretty great place. More like 3.5 stars but not 4 stars. The shtick is a pretty fun one. Ordering is super easy. You are giving a paper menu and pen and mark off what you want. If there is something on your burger you don't want you cross it out. We went on a Saturday night around 530 before a show and there wasn't a wait but one started shortly after that. Food- The appetizers taste fantastic. We got cheese curds and fried pickles. Both tasted great. The burgers taste great as well but this is where it lost stars for me. The buns fall apart so easily. I had two bites and probably should have used a knife and fork after that but I powered through with messy hands. Everyone else also had their bun fall apart. I don't know what the issue is or if their burgers are so juicy the buns cant handle it. Either way it made it difficult to eat neatly. The flavor was really good though so I definitely would eat here again but probably only if I was wearing a t shirt that I didn't mind getting dirty. The fries tasted delicious as well. The custard is pretty good as well but nothing terrible special that makes it worth getting here over somewhere else. Drinks- The have Pepsi products for sodas and lots of different beers. Service- Service was fast and friendly. All of our food came out quickly and was still hot. The price was decent for what you get. Overall, definitely check this place out. Just keep in mind that you might want to get a pretzel bun or be ready to have messy hands.

I just happened to be driving through Milwaukee one fine January day. I said to my boyfriend, “Why don’t we stop for lunch in Milwaukee? I’ve never been there.” He thought it was a great idea, and immediately Googled the best place to get cheese curds. The search led us to a restaurant on a corner called AJ Bombers. It is safe to say that my life is now changed forever. We decided to split a burger after our cheese curds and I have never tasted anything more savory and delicious in my entire life. Three bites in, we couldn’t contain our amazement and had to immediately text all our friends and family about this restaurant. There will never be any other form of beef that will be able to top this burger I ate in Milwaukee. I didn’t have time to stay and drink because my boyfriend and I had to drive home but I am already thinking about when my next trip to Milwaukee will be because after that burger, I can only imagine how insanely brilliant their cocktails must be. this place was decent. I'm deducting one star because i paid extra for peanut butter on the burger and they literally just give you a little plastic cup of peanut butter on the side. compare this to say killerburger in Portland who actually use a peanut butter sauce on the burger, and i was a bit disappointed. Fried cheese curds were really good. pretzel was overly salty but otherwise decent. the custards were great as well.

I just came back from my first visit to Milwaukee. When I travel I really like to eat local, so I always search out the highest reviewed places to eat and drink. Am I glad I found AJ Bombers! The atmosphere is unique, setup like a WWII hanger complete with "bombs" that are used to deliver peanuts to areas across the restaurant, and yes you can just dump the shells on the floor! I was also on a mission to find a great bloody mary and AJ Bombers was the best of the 4 that I sampled in town. The mix is made in house and severed with some green olives, a pickle slice and, the best part, a mini burger patty covered in cheese and wrapped in bacon! It is a hearty mix, like a meal on it's own. Great for a crisp Fall day! I had the hot dog and cheese curds on my first visit. (Yes I went again) and it was one of the best dogs I've ever had. Covered in cheese sauce and grilled onions it was very flavorful. The cheese curds were awesome and, of course, a Wisconsin staple. I had to visit again on the day I was leaving for another dog and a bloody mary! The staff were all wonderful, friendly and attentive! Highly, highly recommended.

A little over priced and the nuts everywhere kind of turn me off, but that's not to say you won't like it. The service is always friendly and swift. Just not impressed with the food. The atmosphere is family friendly, but I wouldn't recommend going there with a family later in the evening because of the location on Water- things can get crazy depending on the day. Parking is paid for. There is a cool huge chair for people to take photos on. Be careful when you cross the street, the cars fly through there.

So my husband has been there before and this visit was my first time. We got the cheese curds app and I got the Milwaukee burger and he got the burger with the fried mushroom on it. Food was good and just about what I expected. I was kind of hoping for a bigger burger but then again I'm from Chicago area and used to a specific thickness of a burger patty(kumas corner stlye). But I will for sure go again when we are up in that area again.

Always ask about the special burger of the week - they're not always huge favorites but they are always atleast very good, and pretty unique too. FANTASTIC place for a burger. Every ingredient is quality. The burgers are constructed in such a way that nothing is too greasy or falling off the bun. You start with a bucket of peanuts you can eat and toss on the floor. We had the buffalo chicken wraps which were great, not too spicy. I had the Milwaukee burger and my husband had the Barrie burger. I would absolutely recommend either one. Also don't forget to get the custard while you're there!

This place has super great food!!! Flavors everywhere. You have the option to get a pre-built burger and add more things to it, or build your own. Their cheesecurds are sooooo yummy! They randomly send you peanuts to your table, when you less expect it (if you don't ask for them), which I find really cool and unique. The service here was amazing. Our server, Heather, did an amazing job at explaining how things worked there with the menu, the different flavors, she was very helpful. I totally love eating at local places, and this one is definitely one that I would go back to again!

Great food with a very fun atmosphere. Peanuts get sent on tracks inside "bombs" right to your table. They have very good burgers with grass fed beef. Their bloody's are very good as well. Highly recommend this place. Try the Barrie Burger, the peanut butter gives the burger an awesome kick.

I know you this is an institution, but I found the food just average. The barrie burger was pretty good, but th cheese curds were soggy and flavorless. Most disappointing of all was the custard. I tried the Malted Vanilla Caramel Crunch, and while it was malted, it was not vanilla, caramel, or crunchy. So why three stars? It's a fun place! The peanuts and track they have are neat and the service was great. Plus the location is top notch if you're downtown. Overall I can't say you should come here all the time, but it's definitely worth a visit.

First time here & waited over an hour for our food. Service was fine but when we asked about our food the reason was it was super busy. That’s a lame excuse in my opinion. No food should take as long as this did. Then when it was brought out we were told there was an order in front of ours but she had them finish up ours first - that would have been believable if our food wasn’t cold. Didn’t really want to send it back in fear it would take longer. The people next to us got their food way faster. I’m giving it three starts because our server was nice & the food was good (although cold). But the wait was ridiculous. It really wasn’t THAT busy. And if it was busy their minds, probably want to figure out a better strategy so it doesn’t take as long.

Who can't love this place! They have peanuts that fly on bombers and drop into bowls. You can write on the walls. No joke. This is a very Wisconsin place. From the Frickles (fried pickles!) To the totchos (which are a must) don't pass this place. I recently got married and took my wedding party here. The staff was amazing. Then my older brother and nephews came in from the East coast. They were impressed. They tried curds for the first time! They will definitely be coming back on their next trip. The food is great and the atmosphere even better.

I had the BBQ wings and tator tots. The wings had a little too much sauce but were good. The tator tots were okay. Would come back here again, but may change some of the food up. This is a great stop for grub, especially for those who've never been. Burgers are only 1/4 lb, but you can build them up with a lot of interesting extras like egg, peanut butter and avacado. Good selection of beers, better than average bloodys and decent custard. Bonus: Free in-shell peanuts, with shells littering the floor. Definitely not fancy, and not for larger groups. But a Milwaukee staple you have to visit at least once.

First time we came it was pretty packed but it didn't take them long to get us seated. We went straight for cheese curds and my sister wanted to try the totchos. Man like my sister said those cheese curds are life changing lol. Those totchos were delicious, they had cheese, sriracha sauce, pico de gallo and bacon pieces what else can you ask for. The Medusa and Milwaukee we ok, small regular basic burgers but they weren't bad. Second time we came lol we got two orders of cheese curds and order of totchos and I wanted to try the buffalo chicken egg rolls. Its was different but they were good. This time we both got the burger specials of the week which were the spinach artichoke and mac and cheese. The spinach artichoke was delicious and they have good fries too. The girls we had both times were super friendly and helpful, when and if we ever returned to the area we will definitely be coming to AJ's, especially for those cheese curds and totchos!

This place was great! My boyfriend and i ate here friday night at 5, and we got a table right away! Our food also came within just minutes after ordering and oh was it good! We both got burgers and shared some fries and there was enough to satisfy him and definitely more than enough for me! Lol. We were even allowed to take our drinks home when i said i was too full to finish mine. The service was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and made the overall experience a great one. We live an hour and a half from milwaukee but when we do eventually visit again we know exactly where to go to get great food and great service. :)

The best place for burgers! Bombers features a smaller burger than average but this is as plus as you don't end up with too much meat on the bun. They are many toppings and you can customize your burger as much as you like. They also have vegetarian options, including the Beyond Burger. The one downfall is that fries are extra. I've never been to a restaurant where you don't get fries, chips or tots with your burger but unfortunately you'll have to shell out more for those. On the plus side, you can shell and eat peanuts for free!

Delicious burgers, lots of selection to customize your burger as well as many pre-designed specialty burgers. They also have well mixed drinks that are two for one at happy hour, but if you are with someone and you order the two for one with the same drink, you are going to have 4 drinks coming your way!

The service was a bit slow for daytime but besides that the experience was highly enjoyable. On my last visit I tried the adult shakes and I was very pleased. I had a salted caramel White Russian made with Kahlúa vanilla custard ❤️

Best burgers , great beer selection and the traditional peanut bombs! Do visit this place for some of the most delicious burgers in town. They have a 2nd location now. Finding a Parking can be a pain in downtown but luckily there is a public parking lot right in front of this place. Fun place to hang out or watch football games. Onion rings, swiss burger and spotted cow will make your day !

This used to be my favorite burger in Milwaukee until I tried other places. The last time I went I ordered a chicken sandwich that cost 7-8 dollars. The bun was sloppy, too much sauce, and not much for fixing on it. That said, the custard was great! I'll still go back here, but I won't order a chicken sandwich again. Overpriced for what it is.

This place is AWESOME! I am very picky because I do a ton of cooking and have worked in many restaurants, my family calls me Chef Ramsey because I often tell places how disgusting their food is if it is not up to par. I live by Rockford IL and I would drive all the way to Milwaukee just to go eat here again. I will see you fine folks again soon, thanks again for the great food and beer!

Good burgers, but not as good as Sobelman's...no matter what a food contest tv show says. The decor is cool and it's definitely worth a visit. Usually easier to get a table than the other burger place in town. Fries are ok but not great. Peanut bombs are a cool idea, goes along with the good decor.

Fair burger 🍔. I tried this place during a recent business trip to the area after reading the local reviews. I must say the energy ⚡ in this place was great and the bomb 💣 was a fantastic experience. The signature burger did fall short. I would give 5 stars ✨ to the concept & experience and 2 stars for the pub food. Fair value @ $25 for 3 beers a burger and onion rings. Would I come back? No

AJ Bomber's burgers aren't incredible. I definitely wouldn't call them the best burgers in Milwaukee. But the atmosphere, the waitstaff, the bartenders, the people made it an awesome place to go and have a burger, a couple beers, some wings, and perfectly seasoned fries.

The burgers here are unique and tasty. My favorite is the Barrie Burger which features peanut butter as the oddball ingredient. In addition to having delicious tater tots and cheese curds, they also serve custard! What better way to end a meal than with a cup of custard? One negative: I've gone twice in the last couple of months and while I acknowledge that a place that slings peanuts around in little "bombers" wouldn't be considered the pinnacle of fine dining, the service during both visits left a bit to be desired in regards to remembering what my party ordered, or bringing out everyone's food in a timely manner. Perhaps I caught them at bad times, so it certainly isn't a dealbreaker.

I did not have a burger here. So I cannot speak to that, but If you're looking for cheese curds, I wouldn't recommend this place. Also, just FYI only about 3 tables get to be "bombed". But you can watch other people. The service was friendly and quick!

I actually found this place by chatting online while visiting the area, and I'm glad I did. This is a laid back, fun place to grab a bite and drinks. The bartender was great and the other customers make you feel like you've been there before. Stop in, you'll be glad you did.

The Burger was great, but I will never EVER order the Fries again. You could actually count the fries in the bottom of this huge box. WHEN I called to complain, I was told they are weighed UP and everyone receives the same. WELL not me. I will never pay $2.50 for 10 fries again.

My fave place to hit before a Bucks game. They move people through quick, are friendly, and you get to make a peanut shell mess on the floor. Docking one star because I think the burger size has really shrunk over the past few years.

So AJ Bombers practices safe serving and social distancing and I love this. The wait staff all wear gloves and they have very strict guidelines while dining not to mention the excellent burgers so yesssssssssssssss it's a definate for me.

This place is very delicious recommend the fried pickles and the double cheeseburger with BBQ I would rate it a 4 1/2. only downside is SLOW service. But if your there with good friends you should be good.

Had a delicious time here with my boyfriend while we visited from Australia. I recommend the turkey burger and the cheese curds! My boyfriend recommends the frozen custard. The flying peanuts were a fun touch and throwing the shells on the floor was even better :)

Friendly staff. Unique table delivery system for peanuts following the WW II era bomber theme. Manageable 1/4 lb. patties on their burgers so one might consider adding additional beef patties for $3 each. Small but acceptable selection of craft beer on tap and in bottles. Complimentary peanuts to shell onto the floor.

Came in just to try the cheese curds as I waited for some people to meet me downtown. They were very good, I still like the ones from the Old Fashioned in Madison better, but the kick to the chipotle ranch is fantastic. Gets 4 stars for the serving size vs price. Again this review is on cheese curds only ;)

My husband had the burger of the day and loved it! I ordered the baked shroom sandwich. Flavors were great, but that was the tiniest portabella mushroom ice ever seen...very disappointing. We split the poutine, it was just ok. Service wasn't anything to write home about either. Our waitress never checked on us once we received our food nor brought plates for us to split the poutine.

Great food! Poor service!, The place was empty for lunch and we told there is a 15 minute wait after waiting 15 minutes outside at one of the empty benches. Okay once the server showed up the service was good, so move it to 4 stars. It would be nice to be acknowledged when you sit down, even if everyone's busy.

Ever since my wife and I stopped into Aj bombers over 7 years ago weve talked about going to back. This past weekend we headed up to green bay and stopped in for lunch. The food is still amazing, fresh with new ideas on the menu and they still had the peanut butter cheeseburger!!! Customer service was too notch and I literally have no complaints about this place!! A tastya** burger. Great size and char. The bomber burger with the friend mushroom was tasty and when you cut it, the cheese self manages which makes it easier to eat. Just leave off the veggies. They don't contribute, and make the burger slip off your bun. Bloody Mary was also tasty, though outside the burger slice, the rest of the garnishes were lackluster. We also go the salted caramel white Russian boozy shake. Unfortunately didn't taste like much other than vodka and custard, but I'd definitely give some of the other flavors a shot.
