This is around the corner from the McIntyre Ski Area. It's about 5 minutes or less. We walked in and were immediately welcomed. The gentleman at the counter explained the menu and how everything can be custom ordered. We ordered the Pulled Pork Mac, the Phlly Cheese Steak, the Blazing Buffalo Chicken Mac, and the Taco Mac. They were all amazing. My favorite was the Philly. Each item was full of flavor and the small size was more than enough for one person. We highly recommend to anyone looking for some solid comfort food. We even ordered the Cheeseburger Mac to go.

Ok, I've been sleeping on this one. Always thought, "gourmet Mac and cheese... Really?...." Man was I wrong. I'm so glad my buddy dragged me in here. Because you Mr. Mac, have just claimed a lifelong customer. Plenty of Mac and cheese to choose from, each with their own flair, but the customization is outrageous. And oh boy let me tell you, I will take advantage of it next time. They have cooler drinks, as well as a drink fountain. Sauces with plastic ramekins. Not to mention the very accessable to go containers. PSA, they are right there and you will need them. We tried four of the many different options. The Classic American, The Jalapeno Popper, The go to Buffalo Chicken, and lastly, we are here in New Hampshire! So of course the lobster. Food aside, the immediate greeting one you walk in is just a pleasure. Rob greeted with energy and charisma that just set the entire experience. Welcoming and informative. As a first timer i was pretty stoked to see if the food compared. It did! Everyone reading, I don't know if you've ever really had Mac n cheese until you've tried this. The following all in my opinion. But as Mac and cheese goes, and yes including your grandma's, vs what I had... This is how it goes down. The American = 9 Buffalo =10 Jalapeno popper = 8 Lobstah is a 10 out of 10 all F***ing day! That's how good it was. Just a great over all experience. Highly recommend!!!

The ultimate comfort food in gourmet style? SIGN👏ME👏UP👏! Mr. Mac's is one of the best-kept (though not-for-long) secrets in Manchester. Don't be fooled by its easy-going label, though. It's perfect for a lunch spot, but make sure you arrive hungry and take their portion sizes as an exact science (when they say "feeds one," they MEAN, "feeds one to the max"!). You not only get your money's worth; you walk away fully satisfied (and likely requesting a takeout box). Flavors range from Philly Cheese Steak to American Chop Suey, but I selected the perennial Bacon Cheddar Mac. Smokey bacon bits cooked to crispy perfection and mixed in layers of sharp-to-mild cheddar with a baked-brown, toasted mozzarella topping. No matter what you order, it arrives burn-your-tongue sizzling in a cast iron skillet, fresh from the kitchen. I also ordered a side of cheesy broccoli with equally scrumptious results. The interior is clean and inviting with an exciting, startup-business or road-trip-Instagram-able feel. For example, there's entire wall comprised of artwork (much of it pop culture references and memes) drawn by customers raving about their meals. Service feels timely and personable, and the only downside is not having enough stomachs to sample every mac and cheese dish in one sitting! Fortunately, there's also takeout (Take n' Bake)! If you're in Manchester, don't miss it! It's a great family dining choice, even for the pickiest eaters, and will please foodies to no end.

Good macaroni and cheese 🧀. Good service. Had ketchup and hot sauce available. Very clean inside. Outdoor dining available. Issues: No one knew if Mr. Mac's had public Wifi available, they do. Which means, no one knew the password 🔑. Limited parking 🅿️. Size to price isn't the greatest. A three to five portion is really small. My friend and I ate less so my kids could have more. I'm leaning more towards three ⭐ s, but, the service and my kids liked the mac and cheese 🧀, so four.

Came thru town to goto an Expo at a hotel down the street, and was blessed today by finding this place. Absolutely fabulous and awesome in every way ! We were greeted right away when we walked in from counter girl, and while eating the owner table checked us to make sure everything was good. This place is just awesome !!

The flavors are great, definitely a must try. The classic just cheese has amazing cheese flavors and is the number one I would recommend to try. This is way better then Mac and cheese at other fast food places. They have a huge menu of types of Mac and cheese and I wish I had more time to try more types. Only thing don’t expect gourmet Mac and cheese. The flavors are great but the ingredients are at par with fast food. The flavors are on point when it comes to different types of cheese. Only thing I wish is the chicken was fresher, it seemed liked the pre cooked pre sliced variety. It would of been elevated to gourmet if that was on point too. They also have a rewards program you can sign up on the app. In the end this is great spot that is a must try whenever in the area.

Guys, this place is terrific. I had the Cheese Please (super cheesey and excellent) and my wife had the Lobstah. The Lobstah really had this awesome lobster taste - they weren't screwing around. Super happy we came here - A+ and will be back again. By the way, the staff are super friendly!

Ate hereb for the first time on Friday night and everything was excellent. Both the young woman at the counter and the gentleman that came to check on our table were very friendly and welcoming. My husband had the Philly cheese steak I had the deluxe and my son had the small kids portion. Everything was excellent. Hot and tasty. Wish there was one in Milford!

Every Mac and cheese lover will have dreams about this place after their first time. They have great combinations that you can choose, or you can make your own. They also have sizes that range from personal to family, and they really do mean it. It's most definitely a place to keep in the back of your mind if you want to splurge on great Mac and cheese. Can be pricey depending on sizes.

This was our first visit to Mr. Mac's, but it definitely won't be our last. We ordered the basic American Mac and cheese, which turned out to be the most incredible comfort food, just right for our "too late for lunch and dinner is in a couple hours" afternoon meal. We chose the hot and ready option, but you can also order items ready to go in your oven at home. I wish we had a Mr. Mac's near us in Florida, but at least we can go to this one when visiting Manchester.

I got the BBQ pulled pork but I asked for the BBQ stuff on the side so I could taste the "classic" mac and cheese. The BBQ toppings were excellent. Very full of flavor and excellent consistency. The mac and cheese was good, very creamy but really lacked sustenance and flavor. I was really excited for the crust on top but reminded me of a creme brulee topping. Was almost like it had sugar in it so you got a crackle when you put a spoon in it. Just not your gramdmas type mac and cheese casserole. It was still very good and I am glad I tried it. They have a good little business going!!

Stopped late on a Thursday, unfortunately I wasn't eating much because long travel, but the cheesesteak dish my girlfriend picked up was delicious, served in cast iron skillets and topped with very thin fried onions that added an excellent flavor and texture. Highly recommend this, it's great comfort/soul food.

I really like visiting Mr. Macs when I am in the USA. They have an interesting selection of dishes and some specials, and they are always excellent. We had some of the heat at home catering trays of gluten free mac’n’cheese on our wedding table and it was scoffed up by the guests in no time, and everyone commented on how good it was. I am moving to NH in January 22 and I know which restaurant is first on my to do list.

Always good mac at Mr Macs. We usually stop here on our way back from skiing. I go for the pizza Mac because it’s so good, dare I say the best. It’s doesn’t show up on their online order portal, but it’s on the menu so don’t be fooled. I get a medium and save half for the next day because the leftovers are divine. The bbq mac, veggie Mac, cheeseburger Mac are all good too. Wish there was a location in Boston!!

Purposely drove to this area from MA to try this place. The buffalo Mac was definitely good but I've had better. I think what makes this place special is all the different kinds of Mac and cheese for anyone's taste and for people living in the area ... It's a good place to get a quick Mac n cheese fix.

The order was ready when it was promised, everything was accurate, and it was a flawless task. Everyone at the school was very happy with the lunch, and said it was delicious.

Great service from the clerk, kitchen staff and servers. Everyone is very helpful and accommodating, everything is made to order so dishes are easily customizable for dietary restrictions and even just picky eaters. If you don't dine in, carry out and delivery are also available. I've tried almost all the dishes and have never had a bad experience. Always a go-to when I'm in the area!

We stopped by Mr Mac’s Macaroni and Cheese in New Hampshire when driving from Boston to Vermont. It was a perfect, quick, and delicious lunch place, as the staff were incredibly friendly and the food was great! We had the Taco Mac and Cheese with chicken (pictured), which was great - we would definitely get that again. The Jalapeño Popper Mac and Cheese (no picture, sorry!) was also very good. Overall, again, thanks to the friendly staff, quick service, and tasty food, we would definitely be more than happy to go back to Mr Mac’s again!

Can't say anything bad about this place except my stomach can't hold enough at once! I had Buffalo chicken mac with blue cheese on the side. Friend had Shepard's pie mac (seasonal offering). Service at the counter, at food delivery to table, and during the meal was fantastic. Observed this for every customer and table. Restaurant was clean and bright. Good selection of bottle beverages. I would say the only thing I wish I had seen on the menu was some rolls or garlic bread. Not that I need those carbs. I was visiting the area from Indiana and the Phantom Gourmet recommendation was spot on

Lactose Intolerant I've steered away from here due to being modestly lactose intolerant and it being well... "mac and CHEESE". But I had a group of friends who invited me out. So I looked at the menu online and decided on the chicken pasta salad. It was great! If you like pasta salad, you'll enjoy this. Honestly I'd return to Mr. Mac's again for more. I also couldn't help myself and snuck a bite of the traditional chicken taco Mac my friend got. (One bite of cheese won't kill me). Great flavor! 4/5 not because it's not great food, but it really left me wishing they had a vegan/dairy free "cheese" sauce so I could have tried more options. If this changes I'll absolutely be trying everything they offer, till then I'll be back for the pasta salad!

Amazing!!! Any Mac and cheese fan will love it. They have something for everyone, whether you like it basic or dressed up. Service is quick and friendly. Place is clean. Could use more seating since they are always so busy, but takeout is easy there so not a big deal. I also appreciated how they have take home boxes right there and you don’t even have to ask for them.

I went here because I saw an episode of Man vs Food and this was one of his stops in New Hampshire. When I saw they had a lobstah Mac n Cheese I said I have to try it it looked that delicious 😋 on TV, and boy they did NOT fail me. It was creamy and sweet from the Lobster. Im still salivating from it. Thanks Mr Mac would 100+% recommend this place. OH AND I DROVE FROM RHODE ISLAND to this wonderful macalicious place.

I must say, I came from a traditional mac and cheese family. I only ever had plain, boring cheesy noodles with some ground pepper slapped on it. It was good, it hit the spot, until I had Mr. Macs. They spoiled me with flavor and new dishes for the seasons. Their lasagne mac is the bomb. Their chicken alfredo is great. The buffalo chicken mac with blue cheese is great. Most are even good still cold if you want a snack. (Because you will have large leftovers if you eat like me.) The food is great, the price is a little high, but you get two meals.

I ordered the cheeseburger mac and the jalapeno popper to bake at home. I was flying home and actually froze them even though there weren't instructions to do so. It turned out perfectly when I thawed it and baked according to the directions. I hope they open more locations down the east coast.

First time visiting yesterday and we loved it! The service was fantastic, and the store is clean and bright. They have quite a few options for mac and cheese, macaroni salad, and salads, or you can creat your own. They make each serving to order, but it wasn't a long wait. I have been here several times and the food has always been excellent. There are many different flavor combinations to choose from. A 'small' is enough for almost any appetite. If you dine-in, they will bring your order to the table. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly.

My fiance and I went here after receiving a gift card and were blown away. I got the BBQ pulled pork Mac and cheese and she had the chicken bacon ranch (CBR). We got the medium size portions and they were huge. We each had enough for leftovers.. Twice. We ended up going back a few days later and got a few different small sized varieties and again we were blown away. After you order you take a seat and they bring the food to your table. The inside is a bit cramped by the counter but the bar seating nearthe windows is less so. It was kind of loud but not so much where we couldn't hear each other. It was a great experience and I now have a new favorite guilty pleasure.

HOLY-OH!-MAC-N-CHEESE!!! Mr. Mac's Macaroni And Cheese was suggested to me by our friend, Deirdre C., while I was staying in Manchester recently. What a great tip! When I walked in, I was a little surprised, but not at all put off by, what I'd call the "fast-casual' dining feel of the place. The place isn't huge, and is very busy. It has the look and feel of a fast food joint, but serves food that far exceeds fast food quality. There are over 20 basic menu options in three size categories, and with a mix of any of the ingredients they offer, the possibilities are almost limitless. We stepped up to the counter, and placed our orders with a polite, friendly young woman who asked if we were dining in, or having our orders to go. We replied that we'd be eating in, so she said that because there was a short wait for a table, she wouldn't put the order in until we were seated. Nice! She produced a number on a disk stuck to a small pole that we put on the table that opened up a few minutes later. Shortly thereafter, our extremely hot, cast iron skillets filled with, for me, a medium size order of lobster macaroni and cheese (can I get an Hallelujah!), and a small cheeseburger mac 'n' cheese for my sister arrived. They were brought with sturdy plastic forks and knives that fit with the fast-casual vibe of the place. The wonderful, cheesy, concoction in the skillet had an adequate amount of large pieces of very flavorful lobster. The cheese was clearly quality, as were all the ingredients. I tasted my sister's cheeseburger mac 'n' cheese, and that also was delicious! Overall, a very cool little place offering quality food at reasonable prices. They also recently opened a second store on Rt1 (Lafayette Road) in Portsmouth. "SAY CHEEEEEEESE!"

I had Mr. Mac's for the first time a few years ago and it's one if the only reasons I make the hour and a half drive to NH. It is amazing! So many options of mac and cheese and they're all so customizable. I usually get the cheeseburger mac (beef, cheddar and American cheese) and add pickles, along with the chicken scampi (Mozzarella, scampi sauce, provolone, parmesan and garlicky lemon zest) - both pictured below. I've also had their buffalo, chicken parm and pizza mac and cheese. I have to say, they're all my favorite. They're all so delicious. I usually rotate between the listed options but at this point I might as well start to make my way through the menu because I've NEVER been dispointed. A small is pretty filling, but since it's always a treat to visit I'll usually get two smalls; I'll finish the first, then nibble on the second and take the rest home as leftovers. I've been to one other Mr. Macs and what I have to say is the most amazing thing is the consistency. Each site is clean, delicious and most of all the customer service is phenomenal! Everyone is always so polite, attentive and welcoming. There is always plenty of seating and the service is exceptionally quick considering the miracle of yumminess that comes out!

This was my first visit ever! The food was excellent, the staff friendly, plenty of parking, ada accessible, and clean! The only surprise I had was this: I got a take out order to bring home for my pasta foodie and the container came in a pizza box but the container didn't have a cover to it, which I wasn't aware of. So when i got home very late, I put the whole thing in the fridge, and not having a cover made the pasta dry out some. Still very tasty, still edible but needed moisture added back. My assumption is no tinfoil cover so the pasta doesn't continue to cook and get mushy?? Definitely planning on going back again!

Every time I go here the staff is super nice and accommodating. I always love trying out new mac n cheeses but my all time favorite has been the mozzarella sticks mac and I 10/10 recommend☺️. I love that you can build your own which works out really well for us particular patrons and the fact that they have dairy free and gluten free options is awesome. Something else worth noting that I personally took a liking to is the first few times when I tried to tip the staff they said that they actually don’t accept tips because they’re so well compensated for their time and work. Update: stopped by here today and tried the Philly steak mac and cheese, once again loved it! Unbelievable, The best mac and cheese I have ever had in my entire life. I tried several different kinds with doubts of how can shrimp, pizza or Buffalo chicken work with mac and cheese, I was pleasantly pleased with the taste, infact it was amazingly delicious. Each one i thought couldn't be possible was amazing somehow they made it taste awesome. We will definitely be going back and from my experience don't doubt the menu choices 4 out of the 4 I picked was absolutely delicious.

Y'all, I'm a very picky eater (aka I normally do not like Mac n cheese unless it's Kraft.) BUT MR. MACS is that exception. You're guaranteed to find a kind of Mac n cheese you will love between the delicious premade recipes or the fabulously detailed "build your own" Mac! So, some pros and cons like I try to do; CONS: •The parking lot SUUUUUCKS to get in and out of. The entrance AND exit is located just before, but it's not part of, a traffic light intersection. •No left turns out of parking lot (depending on the time good luck trying that anyway) •Parking lot is a bit crumbly. •Their website app is kind of painful to use. It continuously makes you manually adjusts the pick up time each individual time you progress through your order. Additionally you have to click the "order button" 2-3 times before it actually goes through and ofc you get nervous about double charges (has yet to happen) PROS: •I cannot overstate how absolutely delicious their dishes are •Available on almost every major delivery app (DoorDash, GrubHub, and Postal I believe) •Good amount of signs identifying location, entrance, exit, and direction of drive thru pick up window •CARDBOARD INSTEAD OF PLASTIC BOXES ❤️❤️❤️ •They buy utensil packs that include salt and pepper (idk, just cool that you have everything to eat it in parking lot) •TAKE N BAKE OPTION so you can order leftovers and cook it yourself later! •Very reasonable prices for a lot of food. This is a good company to order catering for an office party instead of greasy pizza 👀

About a year ago they messed up a pretty large order for a birthday party. In store they offered me 1 cookie to make up for it. I was extremely upset. The manager was very kind and fixed the situation later on. I love all the options to add in for the Mac n cheese. Pick your cheese carefully if you're expecting a creamy Mac n cheese (mozzarella gets you that perfect creaminess, but others leave it dry).

Obviously, they have a limited menu. But who doesn't like mac & cheese? It's a pet peeve of mine that most restaurants try to do too many things, and their quality suffers for it. Not here. As mac & cheese specialists, they are the experts, and their food is uniformly excellent. I could only approach their level of tastiness by doing one of those recipes that takes 90 minutes and messes up half the pots in my kitchen. While I was waiting at the UPS Store next door (right before Christmas; they usually have no wait), I was able to easily order a plain and a pulled-pork on my phone (intuitive, first time I used it). It was ready in ~15 minutes just as we were done shipping.

Count me as one who is in love -- with Mr. Mac's Mac and Cheese. We stumbled upon this place while visiting friends and fell in love. Not only do they have lots of variety in the types of mac n cheese they offer but you can also make your own creation. Their sizes are pretty much spot on with prices that reflected that. The staff was friendly, the restaurant clean and the food was piping hot. What more could you ask for? Well, I could ask for tuna to be an option on the create your own menu (hint, hint). They also have cold salads including some cold macaroni salads. While this one is too far away for a casual drive, I may take a drive to another location to see if they are as good.

I wouldn't say it's pricey but it is in the middle-upper echelon of Mac & Cheese prices. After tax you'll spend $10 or more on a dish. This amount fed all five of us and there was enough left over for another person. Total bill @ $40!! Where else can you feed 6 people, really good, fresh, homemade food for $40!!?! Lots of families with kids, loud environment, everyone seemed happy to be there, but then who wouldn't be;M it's Mac and cheese after all LOL!! Patient friendly counter staff. Food was served quickly and hot. Overall about what I expected from a fast food, kid-friendly place on a Saturday afternoon. The food was okay, thou quite expensive considering the large size at $21.00 is probably $0.50 worth of elbow macaroni and $3.00-$5.00 worth of processed and hard cheeses, mid-grade processed meats, etc. Creative menu but nothing you couldn't do at home for 1/8th the price, but then if the whole point is a semi-relaxed, no dishes to wash night with the family, this is just the right place to be.

Nice family place, good for a low key first date, a quick bite with a picky eater or a late afternoon craving for some comfort food. Very customizable Mac and cheese, they also have decent sized chocolate chip cookies and brownies. Staff is mostly friendly except one of the female cashier's, maybe it was a bad day. If you get the medium or large pan of Mac and cheese, check the middle to make sure that it's cooked through and melty not clumpy, and don't hesitate to send it back for them to pop it into the oven a little bit longer. This place tends to get busy at a moment's notice and things can get overlooked, but the taste has always been spot on.

I really liked this place when you could get rolls with the meal and they were delicious, but then they dropped the rolls. I went back sporadically for a couple years to see if they put rolls back on the menu but I finally gave up. I suppose they figured people filling up on cheap rolls would order smaller plates or something. Whatever the case, they never gave a reason but they lost my business. I love Mac & Cheese but without bread it feels like half a meal.

I can not say enough about this place. I love love love love love love love love love it! I would eat it everyday if it didn't make me fat. It seems a bit pricey for mac and cheese but this isn't the same kind that you can buy a box for $1. It's good stuff and the staff are super nice. They act like they appreciate my business. My daughter loves it too. The Taco mac ( i like it without salsa) is to die for. I've also had the lobster mac, this chicken ranch kind and a few make your owns and it's impossible to get one that you don't like.

When I called the store to let them know about the two mistakes they said "I'm sorry, I hope you still enjoy your meal." Safe to say I won't be using that again. Blown away by the service! Not sure if the clueless looks on our faces when we walked in lead the guy at the counter to ask if we've ever been there before or if that is just the standard greeting. However this was indeed our first time at Mr. Macs and we were pleased to be provided the overview of their menu, set up, specials, etc. rather than trying to figure it out ourselves. We ordered pulled pork mac and a garlaz-a-la something steak mac...figured we would try something new. Well, the steak one had a taste of blue cheese....since we cant stand the taste of blue cheese and failed to realize that garlaz-whatever was "like a blue cheese" we got back in line to order a different mac and cheese. We had full intentions of paying for the additional mac but when they realized we were getting another one because we didnt like the taste of the first one they gave us the replacement mac for free! The manager or owner was so kind and thanked us for coming out. We couldnt get over the service we received. Oh and by the way...the pulled pork...AMAZING! We will definitely be visiting again!

Why are there only four locations!!!! I was off on a Sunday drive with my wife and three youngest children when someone spotted a roadside restaurant sign on I93 just north of Manchester New Hampshire. A Mac & Cheese only restaurant? Could it be? My eight- and thirteen-year old’s thought they must have died and gone to heaven and immediately started bouncing up and down in their seats. With that level of excitement, how could I say no, besides, I had to see how a restaurant could focus on pasta and cheese sauce. I am soo glad we stopped. Warning, this place should have a disclaimer and require a signed waiver for anyone with a heart condition, cholesterol issues, or adult-onset diabetes. The menu is a good-sized selection of various mac & cheese offerings. If you want a side salad, they also have a half a dozen cold Mac & Cheese macaroni salad offering. If you are feeling guilty there are a few salad choices that involve vegetables, cowards! Lest I forget they have a few draft beers and hard cider to wash it all down. Service: A++ If you have read any of my reviews you know I am big on service. First, where did they find the young people, teens, and early twenties, working here? I didn’t think that level of politeness existed anymore outside of “Chick fil a”. Service with a smile, extraordinary patience with our menu indecision, helpful suggestions without sarcasm. I know I was speechless also. AND THEY CAN COUNT CHANGE! This place is an order at the counter and we will bring your food to you, kind of spot. In any other place that’s the last, you would see of anyone in a corporate ball cap and apron. Not here, the shift manager, a nice young guy in his early twenties actually came to our table to see how we were enjoying our first experience, told us about the small chain's history, and asked if we needed “anything at all”. Food: Yes, I know it is almost humanly impossible to screw up mac and cheese but making it delicious while combining it with everything from lobster to tacos is apparently an evolving art form. The dishes are in three sharable sizes and delivered to your table in hot cast iron skillets. I pity the dishwasher. I ordered one of the limited-time specials, get ready, Shepherd’s pie mac and cheese. It was just what it sounds like, a mild mac and cheese topped with tasty shepherd’s pie. Comfort food on steroids. My wife had Buffalo chicken mac & cheese which could have been a bit spicier, even for my sensitive tastebuds. Son number 1 had Chicken Bacon Ranch, Son Number two split a medium-sized Mozzarella stick mac and cheese with his sister. We were stuffed AND there were leftovers. My wife asked me if franchise owners made good money, Lol. I have been privileged to have experienced a lot of culinary adventures during my life, from Michelin Star restaurants to mom and pop diners. In that mix are the “chain restaurants”. With many of the chain/franchise places you often wonder how they became so successful. Often it was the service and quality food they launched with before they got greedy and more concerned about their stock prices than their customers. Mr. Mac’s Macaroni and Cheese DON’T EVER CHANGE!

Mr. Mac's is a great restaurant with so many convenient amenities. You can order your food online and then pick it up using their drive thru window. They also do delivery, but sometimes the wait time is very long (assuming because they're busy all of the time) so I will just pick up, which I don't mind because their staff is very nice. But my favorite so far is the taco. They use Barilla pasta too which is good for my wife as she has an egg allergy and that pasta is made without egg.

I am not a huge fan of mac & cheese, but we wanted to bring our granddaughter. I had the. Chicken parm, and it was "meh". The white meat was a little dry and hard to chew. I'm also not a fan of bread crumbs, and the top was crusted with a thick layer. (I don't mind a few - but it looked like they poured 1/3 cup over my small meal). My husband ordered the cheeseburger mac, and said it was ok. Now... that being said, let me share the rest... Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly young lady with a great smile. It was our first time there, so she offered us paper menues and said we could sit down and look them over before ordering. The dining area was spotless, as was the area around the fountain drinks. When we did not go back to the counter right away, she came by to see if we needed any help. Again, very friendly. As we finished our meals, a friendly young man was right there to clear the table. When we got up to leave, the young lady went right for the door to give us a hand (My daughter is in a wheelchair).

I spent the day in Manchester, NH today and finally got to try @Mr. Mac's Macaroni and Cheese on Hookset Rd. I know that is NOT the North Shore, but they have other locations, at least one in MA, so I figured it can't hurt to have the info. If you aren't interested, just skip this one!! 😁 I called ahead for takeout not realizing I was only a couple of miles down the road on my way through town. They said it would be 20 min, when I got there, 2 minutes later, I told them I was there and figured I would have to wait..... I was wrong. My order was hot and ready to go!!! I was feeding 5 people and I wanted to try different flavors, so I got 4 small orders.....classic, beef taco, chicken parmesan, and veggie Mac and cheese, plus a LG garden salad. All of the Mac and cheese flavors were excellent, (the beef taco was my favorite) and the salad couldn't have been fresher! Not one piece of wilted lettuce.. DELICIOUS! This amount fed all five of us and there was enough left over for another person. Total bill @ $40!! Where else can you feed 6 people, really good, fresh, homemade food for $40!!?! We loved it and will absolutely be back!!!! btw, if you sign up for their online newsletter, they give you a buy one get one 50% off coupon!! Staff was great too!

Stopped by last night to try for the first time. I ordered the small basic mac/cheese. I believe it is listed as an all american style. I was not asked if I would be eating in or taking out. While waiting for my order I stepped outside to retrieve my paper, when I came in, sat down and was served a cardboard box to eat out of. After receiving about .12 cents of pasta the edges totally burned to a crisp and the rest was just an oily gross mess. Not the creamy mac and cheese I was expecting. Unless this was an off night I think the amount for the price and the excessive oil was just not worth coming back. I am not sure why all the excellent reviews.

A friend presented this challenge to me: bike from your house to Mr. Mac's (30 miles one-way), and I will buy you lunch. I accepted and can say that it was well worth it. For the amount of food you receive, the prices are good. If you buy and bigger size of mac and cheese, it becomes more economical. The mac and cheese is served in an iron pan that rests in a wooden plate. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well take-out. The only downside I found was no bike rack.

We each got small and it was plenty, but pricey $14.99 each and drinks came to $37.50 for lunch. But I felt it was worth it as he was going back to his base in CA. He had been home on leave for 10 days from the Marine's! Enjoyed his visit!

If you like mac & cheese you will really like this place. Creamy rich and made to order mac & cheese. Very creative options for toppings and special recipes. FYI the small sized portion is plenty for most people.

It's an odd concept: take out mac & cheese. But you know, it's really good. It's a little pricy and it takes a while to get your order (it just takes that long to make a good mac & cheese from scratch,) so I don't eat there often. But I do recommend it.

Yummmm! Love Mr Mac's. Some favorite's are Papa's Mac, Taco Mac, and Steak n Cheese Mac. Really to die for! They make "take n bake" as well. Great to have in the frig for a quick meal any time.
