Delicious! 🤩 This place was recommended to me by a co worker so tonight had to be the night to check this place out for some good BBQ. As soon as we pulled in judging by the outside of their restaurant we knew this was going to be a good experience. As you walk in you will fall in love with their handmade style interior. From top to Bottom it feels like modern country / rustic decor. Not to mention they have a entire self showcasing the competitions they have attended for BBQ events which is amazing 😍 As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the hostess. She took us to the perfect seating arrangement. Our waitress was immediately available to take our drink order as well as our appetizer to start with. Soon after we order our main meals which came out within a reasonable time frame. We didn't have to ask for anything our waitress was on top of it from Start to finish. You will definitely get your money's worth here. I would recommend to anyone else that they give this restaurant a try, it will be worth your time 😁 Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day 😎👋👍

This visit we were in the awesome bar area. Started with a drink and onion ring appetizer which was great. My meal was a combo with two meat selections, rwo sides and corn bread. My lunch partner had a large garden salad with delicious chicken. We ordered a side of coleslaw to share. No room for dessert and a large take home bag. The atmosphere was super, staff was great and the food was delivered quickly. Best BBQ place around so don't drive by.

Best baked beans East of the Mississippi. Good ribs. Wonderful wings. Good brisket could be great - like most New England brisket not enough fat, not served ‘wet.’ Team knows about gluten free (“gf”) options. Collards are good. Sausage is good, like most NE BBQ - it’s smoked Italian sausage, not classic kielbasa. Hush puppies were good. We ordered take out via their web app.

Tried this place during a road trip, saw the Feedbag Shovel and tried it. It is a lot of food, we had plenty of leftovers. The food wasn't great - I would say it was okay, the baked beans and the pulled pork were the best things. The brisket and pulled chicken were dry and had no flavor; the ribs were hard and everything was room temperature. It was kind of unique that it was served in a shovel, but does not make up for the food. Staff was very friendly.

Coming from Asheville, NC, I did t have high expectations, but the BBQ was great. I had a cardiac sandwich and I am glad to say I enjoyed it and didn’t have a heart attack. Sides weren’t quite as good as the meats, and they didn’t have any fried okra like all good BBQ places should have, but still was a good meal. Italian margarita was good. The $5 margarita was priced accordingly ~ meh.

1st time. Won't be back. Onion rings had no seasoning. Cole slaw was literally the worst I've ever tasted, very bland. Ribs had no flavor. Everything was bland. The stew was the best thing we ate. Brisket was just ok, had to add sauce. Very disappointed.

Got takeout of hush puppies, brisket, wings, chili- most of the menu. This was top notch. Not greasy or over saturated. Super clean and great quality, all 5 of us were impressed and will be returning!

Exceptional no wait service. Service was quick, plentiful, delicious and fairly priced- especially since they give military active & retired discounts; just bring your ID. Servers were very polite and patient as I admired the wide selection of BBQ cuisine. I lived in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and Texas and KC rates with the best of them. Definitely worth returning to when I return to New Hampshire.

Cool place, relaxed atmosphere. I had the pain killer and my husband had the KC old fashion. Both were delicious. Classic bbq… we ordered the pick 2 pladda which came with your choice of 2 meats to choose from; the ribs, brisket, sausage, chicken and pulled pork. Between my husband and I were had the pulled pork, ribs, sausage and brisket. My favorite was the pulled pork. My husband loved the brisket. There were 4 different bbq sauces to choose from to add to ur food. I preferred the hickory bbq I believe. We had the beans, fries and dirty rice as our sides. All were delicious. We tried the fried cheesecake but that wasn’t very good. I would absolutely go again. Service was fantastic and attentive. Food came out fast and hot. Fun place with lively music.

Absolutely love this place. If you ever wanted to fall into a meat coma but could never get enough meat at once to do it with, just pop by KC's and they'll set you straight. Great experience overall, even more fun with a few buddies and a few drinks.

Ordered the texas style beef brisket which comes as sliced and pieces (sorta burnt ends). Brisket was very good along with their fresh cut fries and cole slaw. I would definitely come back again.

Solid choice for BBQ in the Manchester NH area. We arrived around 3pm on a Saturday in winter; timing may be different in summer and fall (tourist season). It is best to call ahead to get on the wait list. We were told the wait would be 10-15 minutes, we were seated at 3:13pm. I had the beef brisket and my companion had the pork ribs and chicken combo. Every bite was delicious; the brisket portion is huge. Meat was tender and perfectly cooked. We were provided with several sauces, we liked them all. The beans had just a hint of spicy kick, but not so much your kids won’t eat them. Even the iced tea was good, which is hard to find in New England. Our server was friendly, quick, and attentive. Highly recommend.

We were celebrating a birthday with 10 family members. When I called about where our table was, Shayna, while on the phone with me, walked the restaurant and suggested tables. When I arrived at the restaurant, she was waiting for us and brought us to the tables she recommended. They were perfect. She is wonderful! Our server was Scott. He was fantastic! We wanted 5 separate checks and he handled it perfectly. He took great care of us and never skipped a beat. The food was AMAZING. I always get the Chix Condon Bleu sandwich and it's as delicious as its always been. Miguel and Josh who got the shovel, couldn't finish it!! Great time, great food and great customer service! Can't wait til next time!!

KC's doesn't disappoint. My wife and I try to get there everytime we are in the area. Staff is friendly and attentive. The food is always great. We visit with a group of 4 and always order the shovel. There is always left over food and we each get to sample a great selection of food. Good selection of beer. We are seated at a high top in the bar. I ordered a sliced beef brisket sandwich hold the bun and was pleasantly impressed when it arrived. The beef slices were arranged atop sliced raw onion rings with pickle chips in the ring, a tasty way to present my meal. Very attentive bar tender kept us in drinks and was quite friendly. Nice experience all around. Highly recommend the bbq foods.

KC's rib shack is a low key super fun BBQ spot. The food is always excellent as is the service. The place offers a variety of spots to eat: the tiki and outdoor area, the license plate room and the upstairs bar. Come hungry and no matter what you get you'll be satisfied. It's a family favorite. Great meals were served hot and the collards were outta bounds delicious. The ribs were hot and so was the beef and pulled pork. If you are early say before 6 pm you usually get a nice portion of hot BBQ and apps. Really enjoyed our recent meal.

I've been coming here for many years. This is one of our favorite places in Manchester. Great BBQ plates. Huge portions, western atmosphere. Highly recommend. Get a big plate and bring some home!

KC'S RIB SHACK is the best place for Barbacue in the state. The ribs fall of the bone and melt in your mouth. The flavor is amazing and will make you wanting more . We ordered a QQ platter, the portions where more than enough for two big guys with plenty of left overs to bring home for seconds. The price was more than reasonable, especially since the quality was top notch. Service was fast, with super friendly wait staff. This is definitely a place to go if you want delicious barbecue.

Great Atmosphere, great food, great sauces & great IPA selection. I went to KC's this past weekend. We started off with the Jalapeno Bacon Deviled Eggs, and MAN they were good. Not very spicy, bacon crumbles on top, with pickled jalapeños. I got the 2 meat platter with brisket & spare ribs as my meal, it came with 2 sides, I chose the collard greens and stew. I highly recommend throwing a splash of the apple sauce on the Spareribs for a smoky sweet flavor. The collard greens were steamed and salt and peppered with small pieces of I think Bacon, that enhanced the flavor but did not take away from the collard greens earthy naturalness that is so good. I have to tell you that the cornbread was amazing. So moist and buttery there is definitely some Jalapenos in their butt it was not spicy at all nor did it have a jalapeno flavor, it just gave it a Savoryness that was perfectly blended with the sweet buttery taste of cornbread. I will definitely come back.

Food was good, not very good options for vegetarian meals. I ate the sides that were pricey. The atmosphere was ok. we attended on a trivia night, so the language was a bit harsh. I mean, I guess that was expected for a bar style. They only had seating available there, so I think if they're was more options available, it might have been better.

We ordered a shovel with all the meats to split between 4 people. We had trouble finishing. The chicken and sausage were very disappointing. But the ribs and briskets were good. The waitress was very overwhelmed because she was serving too many tables.

Food quality seems to have slipped a bit in recent years. The pulled pork has no bark at all and may very well have been stored and re heated, and the brisket is well executed but was served barely lukewarm and without any crisp to the bark. It's still the best barbecue in the Manchester area, but only because it's basically the only game in town.

I had the brisket bacon swiss and omg that sandwich was absolutely AMAZING... the brisket was to die for perfectly moist and smokey, the bacon gave a high five on the tongue, the crispy onions provided the texture, a spice hit of the horseradish, add a little spicy vinegar sauce to cut all the flavor and launch it to outer space 🤯

Good Meat! Huge servings! We got the Feed Bag that feeds 3+ people... It's so much food..now we have leftovers. The service was fast, people were great, and you can draw on the paper tablecloth. We also didn't have to sell one of out kids to pay the bill,.so... Bonus!

We always love coming here. Authentic Rib Shack vibe. The Brunswick Stew is my favorite thing here. The brisket is pretty good, too. The ribs and everything else is okay. You aren't going to find great ribs in NH. To quote Bono... "I still haven't found what I'm looking for"... Go south for great ribs. NYC surprisingly has great ribs. Not Manchester NH... Also, there's not a single item for my pescatarian wife. But what do you expect at a rib shack.

Really good food, delicious drink, the dining room shocked me a bit that it was down a set of stairs, but was comfortable seating and had two handrails on the stairs that you could reach both at the same time if needed.

My family and I have been going here for years. We always have a great meal. Tonight my daughter and tried the tiki wings to start. They are ok. Very very sticky!! I had the brisket Chinese pie. It was great and a huge portion!! My daughter had the pulled chicken sandwich, again a huge mound of meat! My husband had a pulled pork sandwich I was not able to get a picture of that (sorry). My son had a grilled cheese he loved it. They have several sauces to choose from and a card explaining them on each table. So You add as little as you would like. We have also had the ribs delicious in the past which are also great!! One time we tried the Feedbag with some friends! It literally came out on a shovel... talk about impressive!!! They have a nice rewards program and we get coupons sent to us often. We will be back for sure!!!

Warm welcome from host at reception - invited to sit in restaurant or upstairs bar. Bar is better option as in cool old barn setting - I opted for bar. Friendly attentive service from bar tender who quickly took beer order followed by food. Wide selection of bbq staples on menu including mixed meat platters. I opted for three meat platter and two sides. Good quality meat - bbq sausage is worth trying - nice change, brisket was really good and I thought the pulled pork was just ok. Sides were good quality and great range of sauces. Overall this is a good spot for some bbq food. Really good value, generous portions, friendly service.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I had the brisket plate with the 2 kinds of brisket, flat pieces and chunks. Some of mine was very fatty, like all fat, but when I started to let the server know, she immediately brought me another full serving. I loved my sides (collard greens and mac salad) but the fries and chili were also really good. Their kids menu is also very reasonably priced. Yummy sauces as well, particularly the mustard one.

Went to KCs at peak dinner time on Friday night. Even though it was busy they got us seated very quickly, which I appreciated. We sat in the bar area and had a couple different servers helping us. Both gave excellent service with a smile. Yes, the brisket and sauces were awesome. But surprisingly I was most in love with all my sides! The cornbread, Brunswick stew, macaroni salad, and onion rings were all SO good. I can't wait to come back.

We got there a little late so the place wasn't too busy. The man who sat us was a gem, made us laugh in just the few minutes we saw him and I waitress was very prompt and kind. Appetizers came out hot and a decent time before our meal. Food was awesome. We came here looking for something different than our usual girls night dinner spots. We were happy with everything. Good BBQ! A pleasant surprise.brisket was good not too salty. Ribs were fall off the bone tender. BbQ sauces were good, nice sampler variety. Meat could've use more of a smokey flavor. Soda was a little off it's much but ok. Not a fan of the disposable plastic plates utensils...nice charm...but environmental impact is too much, especially as a business.

Food was very good but not great. I prefer ribs a little smokier and a little more tender. They serve spare ribs and not baby back if you are interested. Service was super fast and the staff was very friendly. Sides were very tasty, especially the chili. Choice of sauses was nice but not labeled.

This place never disappoints and the service is outstanding.I just dont have anything bad to say. The collard greens are good and are not bitter like other places i have been to.The ribs are nicely smoked and tender. The brisket is fantastically delicious and the 34oz rib shack Pale Ale just blends everything together to leave you unable to walk out. This is definitely a 8 out of 10 places i would suggest you to visit if your in the New England area.

Server was great and the food was amazing! Best BBQ in this area! We ordered the full feeder... came out on a shovel with Ribs, Brisket, pulled chicken, pulled pork, sausage, and some other BBQ. Came with 2 sides and cornbread. We got baked beans and chili. Feeds 3-5 and even with big eaters this was true as 3 of us could not finish it. Waitstaff was great and very on top of things. Would recommend and will definitely be back! Kid appropriate and full kids menu.

So, we came here because it was open late and we had heard it was featured on Man Vs. Food Nation. So we obviously had to get the BBQ Feedbag Shovel. They told us it would serve 4-5 people but we thought we would give it our best shot. We weren't even close to finishing. It includes a whole rack of (absolutely delicious) ribs and a half pound each of pulled pork, smoked brisket and chicken, along with 2 large side dishes and 4 very generous pieces of corn bread. Usually when I see food challenges like this it makes me skeptical about the quality of the food, but this was very good quality BBQ and I was not disappointed. Also, it was awesome sitting outside at the tiki bar!

Rarely do my husband and I agree. We loved it here! My burger was cooked just how I like it and the macaroni salad was great!. My husband had the shepherds pie and said it was REALLY GOOD! I can't forget the waitresses, they are very friendly and accommodating. Thank you ladies! The atmosphere was lively and a band was getting ready to play while we were there. We will definitely be coming back! Hopefully next time we can stay longer.

This place is very stereotypical American barbecue. The decor, music, menu, and even waitstaff are almost comically 'murican BBQ. But the food and cocktails live up to it, and everything was absolutely delicious. I would come back for the food, and as long as you're in the mood for a fun atmosphere, it's a great time.

Food was great, service? Not so much... Felt like we were an inconvenience to the Tavern area crew; big fake smiles and "I don't want to be here attitudes". Had to ask for things (cold glass for wife's beer, extra napkins, boxes for leftovers) multiple times (and it wasn't even that busy). Have only been seated in the bar/tavern before. Think we'll need to ask for the real restaurant section if we ever go back

KC's Rib Shack was fantastic as always. We've been going there for many years. My wife and I had our first date there. We can't think of a better place to go for a laid-back, rustic dinner environment. The people who work there are always friendly, upbeat, and skilled in what they do. The Establishment is always clean and neat. There are never dirty tables left unbussed. I can see going there for a full lunch, dinner, or even just out with friends for drinks. The parking is plentiful and you are greeted by smiling faces. The owner walks by and remembers your face and name oh, the waitresses remember your favorite table. And the stories about your first date there. I will keep going there with my wife and even my son as long as they keep their doors open. If you've never been there it's a dining experience worth trying and if you've gone there before I know you'll go there again.

Love the rustic atmosphere. The food is very good. Portions sizes are huge if that's your thing. Service a bit sporadic. We never got enough menus even though we asked several times, didn't get enough silverware, had to ask for napkins initially, parts of orders were left off. And while, yes, this is a meat joint, and proudly so, which is fine, sometimes vegetarian people are dragged along without much say in the matter and there could be a couple options other than a big overpriced bowl of romaine lettuce and a few tomatoes and a plate of fries. Veggie burgers, while you might sneer at the thought, would be a viable option--keep 'em in the freezer. You don't have to buy a bunch.

The meats had really good flavor but coming in at 7:00PM the ribs and pulled pork were very dry. The corn bread was moist and delicious. Their sides could use a little more something. I got the dirty rice and Brunswick stew and they were just bland. Also, it would be nice if they included pickles and onions. I'll be back to give them another try.

We discovered this place after dropping our kids off for summer camp nearby. It's now a must go every time we're driving through the area. Five visits so far, the ribs are always extremely tender and juicy, chicken is tender and moist. We brought our kids when we picked them up from camp, and my picky eater son is now a rib convert. This was my first time there and the food was INCREDIBLE!!! BUT....they lost a star because during the 2 1/2 hours we were there, the 3 of my friends including myself ordered 2 drinks each and the waitress made a stink about how fast we drank our drinks when we tried to order another drink. 2 1/2 hours of sitting there, eating over $100 worth of food, she gave us an attitude of ordering another drink. Not happy about that at all. And as soon as another table came that had 10 people, she was focused on that. To bad. The waitress Shaynna seemed nice at first but apparently your a drunk if you order more than 2 drinks within 2 1/2 hours.

One of the best BBQ spots I've been to in NH. Wait was reasonable (20 min for party of 3) and bar area was quite nice. Server was very attentive and food came out about 15- 20 minutes after we ordered, which was also reasonable. The beef brisket was amazing and I highly recommend it. Forgot to take pictures, but would definitely come back in the future!

We visit here often and always look forward to going back. Our favorites are the garlic parm wings, brisket and ribs with mashed and gravy and collard greens. Chili is also excellent. I like their spicy rib sauce, which is vinegar based and the perfect amount of salty savory deliciousness.

Food was as good as always when going there, Wait staff usually ok,However this time around sadly I brought a few friends in last night and our waitress Shaynna started off super sweet….Then it appeared after a very large party was seated after us, our table took a back seat, we were there for 2 and 1/2 hours and spent well over $100 dollars, when she asked if we were all set, I assumed she meant with food so had planned on ordering a few more drink for myself and guest. She brought check and I let her know that we did want to order more drinks, I apologized how my misunderstanding about being all set, she walked by and I asked if we can have another round of drinks, and again there was a long time between drinks and remember I mention we were there 2 1/2 hours and at that point ONLY had 2 drinks. I was shocked when told “ um ok you are drinking to fast and I’ll get your drinks after I take care of other table( the very large party ). Now I’ve worked in the restaurant business before so I know her tip would be much greater with the larger party, but that was no reason to shun us, we tip 30-40% as we understand the struggle. We were not loud or rude, and only had 2 drinks a piece ( which were very weak also ) more like juice. Maybe educate her not to tell people they are drinking to fast, and that all parties matter. Other than that food was amazing as always.

The menu here is simple but complete and everything our group of 6 ate was tasty and prepared well. This is. It a fancy restaurant and if you like tablecloth that is a long sheet of wide paper ripped from a large roll in the corner of the dining area then this will not disappoint. The building has all the feel of a barn with raw exposed beams and wood walls. The upstairs bar area has a high ceiling and open airy feel with TV’s a-plenty. The staff were friendly, efficient and effective.

EDIT #2 I FINALLY got the chance to come back up and was not disappointed. The changes made in the kitchen clearly have been made, not a single thing wrong and I'm happy to say, I have zero complaints and only great things to say about the food and staff. ** EDIT ** After exchanging some emails and a phone call with the owner, I'm willing to give the place another shot. I've been assured that changes have been made to address the issue and to increase awareness of food safety for those of us with celiac disease/gluten sensitivity. Will update after I go back. FWIW: Owner is very responsive and has taken the issue seriously. If you have a gluten allergy please be extremely careful eating here. I specifically ordered from the gluten free menu, the waitress knew I was gluten free. My order came out with cornbread (not gluten free) which is 🤷‍♀️ but the cole slaw had macaroni noodles in it. Ffs who puts elbows in cole slaw?? Honestly, the brisket was phenomenal but not sure it was worth the intestinal distress I've been in since last night.

Love their warm pulled chicken caesar salad.. 😍 I'd love it even more if it was always made with romaine and the right cheese.. but even with iceberg & the wrong cheese it's still pretty good. You can't beat the portions or the meat. It falls apart and almost melts in your mouth. The flavors are truly AMAZING 👏 & since I started coming to KC's a couple months ago. I order legit a minimum of once a week 🤣 take out or dine in. The service is decent, quick and on point.. Drinks are good & their homemade flavors are phenomenal. Look, I'm a hard person to please and I'm truly hella picky.. both about food and service. So for me to be recommending them speaks volumes of their food & service. KC's is a cut FAR above the rest. Catering Review… We booked KC’s Rib Shack for our Sept 2021 wedding. They were nice enough to let us change our order a few times leading up to the actual wedding…picking sides, changing quantities, etc. The day-of, they cooked on-site and had everything set up for our 6:45 dinner buffet for 110 people. Wedding guests were RAVING about how amazing our wedding food was…especially the brisket and corn bread! They even suggested bringing Tupperware so that people could pack up leftovers to-go the next day at our brunch. That was a huge hit! I do suggest they add mac and cheese to their menu because it would be delicious. That would really have completed our meal…otherwise everything was incredible.

I LOVE this place! My boss used to take our staff here for special events pre-COVID. The Pulled Chicken Sandwich is my go-to. Be warned though if you get the smores dessert, they WILL have you roast the marshmallows over a mini fire pit. Wings were great so crispy. We ordered bulk meats which were good but I have NEVER been to a bbq joint that serves their meats smothered in sauce. People expect them naked and then can put whatever sauces are offered on themselves. The sauce on the brisket was not that good and since it was smothered it would be futile to put any of the other sauces at the table on it. Sauce on the pulled pork was ok but same thing; I want to try all of your sauces on the meats and pick the ones I like.

We have gone for dinner, every time we visit the NH mountains, on our way back to Boston. We usually buy a "shovel". It has different types of barbecue meat, chicken & chorizo. It has enought to feed 6 people who eat more than the average. The taste is reaaaaally good. A cost of 100$ (Aug 2022)

Stumbled on this place while in the area and are so glad we did. Friendly and capable staff who were helpful with menu suggestions and did not hover. The place was huge with plenty of space between tables, for those whom distancing is important. Really cool vibe to the place and the decor was fun. TVs are abundant airing various sports events; I'm sure the place hops on game days. There was live entertainment when we visited and tho we were sitting feet from the amp we could still have a conversation AND enjoy the music (how it should be at dinner hour). Speaking of dinner, we shared a fried pork tenders app that we could not get enough of. For entrees, I had the ribs with slaw and fries. Ribs were delicious fall-off-the-bone tender and the variety of dipping sauces provided were quite good with the ribs as well as the fries (which were hot and crispy and perfect). Slaw was crisp and fresh, not sweet, not too tangy and not swimming in a pool of dressing. My husband had a brisket sandwich with swiss and onions that was out of this world. I'm not particularly a fan but one bite made me a convert; they do brisket right. We shared a fried pork app that we simply could not get enough of. Will we be back? What do you think? 😉 While Londonderry is a hike from our town, KC's Rib Shack is absolutely worth the trip.

Not sure why I never tried this place however I can say my new favorite place wings were fantastic and the cardiac Sam was amazing (just wish it came on a ciabatta roll or something that holds up to the liquids better). This is saying a lot as I literally will drive all the way to N.C if I crave my former favorite place Pinky’s west side grill and this blew away anything they have. The food and drinks were served warm, timely and just what you’d expect from a BBQ dive. The lively music and BBQ decor made this place a true hidden gem. This is my favorite place to get beef brisket in the entire US. I travel for work and have been to Nashville, Kansas, Grove City Ohio, San Diego, Atlanta, Missouri, Minneapolis, DC... it genuinely gets no better than this. I am hooked. I eat here almost 5 days a week, when I am in New Hampshire. The last time I went to a restaurant this good, was lucha lucha - the best burrito place in the country on Nostrand ave in Brooklyn, NYC. I remember joking with them, if your boss ever closes, please tell me beforehand; I'll open a new restaurant, hire you all at better pay just so I can keep eating here. I think they thought I was joking. :( I have to make sure to do the same thing here. This place must be protected, at all costs!

Do you like meat? Delicious, juicy meat? Well then KC's is the place for you, and it's not just ribs! I don't like brisket but theirs is the best I've had! Pulled pork, pulled chicken, possibly some other pulled meat I'm forgetting. Fantastic sides including dirty rice, collard greens, mac and cheese, Brunswick stew, and applesauce if you're feeling fruity. Even the desserts are delicious. But come on, it's really about the ribs, right? Well, make sure you bring a designated driver to eat a salad because the rest of you will be sleeping in the car on the way home. Incredible ribs, hot and juicy and huge and meaty! Multiple sauces to choose from. Sometimes you need to do something truly inexcusable to your body, and KC's is just the place to do it.

KC's never ever disappoints, and is one of if not the best BBQ joint I've been to! That said, I'm a bit worried that they are decreasing portion sizes. So here is a current report on KC's. We last were here in the summer of 2019. It seems they were changing hands and well, I will just say it was a poor experience. Jump to last weekend of 2022 and while it was better this time, it is no longer the KC's we loved to go to. Gone is that deep smoky goodness in the meats. Our order was goofed up, the waitress checked the order she sent to the kitchen and it was correct so it was the kitchen and not the waitress. Portions sizes were great, appetizers were good as well. Prices are where you would expect. Drinks were ok, I did not watch them make it but all I could taste mostly was the sugars in the drink instead of a nice even blend of the fruits and alcohols of an evenly mixed drink. Like I said this was on a weekend and we were expecting it to be packed, "like it always used to be" but I'd speculate the lot was only 1/3 full. Guy's please start putting to use the smokers that were sitting idle by the kitchen like it used to be. Bring back that Smokey goodness and you'll bring back the big crowds!

Food was great! Went on a Sunday night with friends and the place was almost packed, was sat in the back corner upstairs by the bar. Apart from a rustic interior, the atmosphere does leave something to be desired. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was all correct and seemed to be on time (apps and entrees) but my beef brisket was on the cooler side when I took my first bite. The food was very good though and I ate almost my whole plate! Will be back, maybe a little earlier in the day next time.

I want to take a bit of time out of my day to say what amazing service I encountered at this establishment the pass night. This was on the verge of being a bad review until Shawn the head cook was able to help sort out a situation. This situation went from bad to amazing just by him listening and understanding the miscommunication that happened. I would recommend this place due to just the customer service alone! This place is amazing! We pigged out(no pun intended) the deviled eggs were delicious, Id eat em everyday. The ribs... Phenomenal. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. I got the Chinese pie. It was brisket, cream corn and mashed potatoes and it's my new favorite food. It was an American shepherds pie 100%. Also the chilli cheese dogs are to die for. Anything less than 5 stars for this place is a joke. This is the best bbq you will get in New England and easily the best restaurant overall in Manchester. I've been to this place probably 50 times and have tried everything at this point and not once have I been disappointed. The prices are incrediblely reasonable and provide what is probably the best value of any establishment in a coastal US region. The staff are also top notch. Every server and host has always been more than pleasant and they always seem happy to be there. If you're in the area definitely check this place out.

No doubt that KC’s food is yummy & spectacular! We’ve actually gone many times when we lived locally. On more than one occasion when I tried to place “party or holiday” orders in advance I was treated rudely by the staff that answered the phone. If KC’s would like to strictly be a dine-in restaurant and/or would like to limit catering availability perhaps they should get all their staff on the same page or post something to that effect on their website. It is a lucrative business, so please have courtesy for your customers!

Just amazing! As good as delicious destinations said they were! They also sell shirts and sweaters! I loved my chili cheese dog and the boyfriend loved the 3 meat trio. Great time, great atmosphere. Just call a couple hours in advance to make sure you have a set table at a set time so you don't have much of a wait. U got the punch bucket.. it was delicious and have a shovel and bucket as a souvenir! Thanks for the great time! Also, they have great aesthetics! Always something to look at!

Great outdoor tiki bar. It's kind of a small outdoor bar but it's a great place to have a drink on a nice night, live music on the weekend. We went on a Friday night dinner time only about a 25 minute wait service was a little bit slow but friendly staff. Mama four people all the plates we had were excellent. We try to visit KC’s whenever we visit NH from our home in RI! Great food and the portions are very generous. Last night we drove 1.5 hours away just to get out and have some great BBQ. What an experience! Great BBQ here and a fantastic atmosphere to accommodate that rustic feeling. Get your food served on a feed shovel and really make your group feel like animals!! They have several sauces you can use right on every table. They have paper table cloths so your kids, or some adults, can color right on it!! They have a great outdoor seating area too!! Not a place to drive by to check it out, it wouldn't do justice. The parking lot is the only issue here. Still, go check em out!!

They had a really busy night with lots of dining customers and catering jobs so when I called they said they couldn't do a takeout order over the phone, but if I came in they would do it for me. They took my order and had it ready in 20 minutes. I wasn't wearing a mask for health reasons and no one gave me a hard time. I got the pulled chicken sandwich with french fries and coleslaw on the side. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Everything was great. 😁

Went to KC’s for dinner tonight around 430. We were surprised there was almost no one dining in so there was no wait to be seated. I had a coupon for buy one entree get one up to $12 off. Christina, our server was fantastic! She took our drink order as we were sitting down and brought them over before we were even settled. Our food order was taken quickly as well. The food came out in about 10 mins, was hot and delicious!.”Christina was unsure of how to work the discount, so the manager assisted her. She returned with an adjusted bill removing my entire $18 entree, saying the manager thought we were nice. Our bill for 2 was under $30! Thank you for the great service and great dinner!

KC’s is the real deal. We have been here several times over the last 2 years, and the consistency is spot on, every time. The friendly, welcoming staff and the great food, never fail. The portions are huge, and the value is great, we’ve not had anything we didn’t love. The building is perfect for a bbq joint, and the old wooden barn it is tucked into, gives the perfect vibe. The Pit-masters know their meat, and prepare it perfectly every day. I love the fact that they serve St Louis style ribs, as I find them to be much better than the tiny spare ribs most joints serve, and the fact they are dry rubbed, not smothered in sauce, let’s the true love of the rib by the que experts shine through. They have 5 different sauces they serve in squeeze bottles at every table, thus allowing you to decide what flavor you want, which is great.

We have gone here a few times now. It's good if you are in the mood for BBQ. There is a wait at peak times but they do take reservations. We sat in the basement level this last time, with some storage and open utility areas exposed where we dined. No frills. Our waitress did an excellent job, was very responsive. My friend was a little intimidated by her tattoos and choice of clothing, as long with the state of the decor, but I reminded him we are eating at a RIB SHACK. The brisket and choice of sauces was good, the Cole slaw not so much.

Great food...as always. But was really impressed with the measures they took to help insure social distancing during this epidemic. I called in the order and gave my debit card number at that time. Meticulous "curb side" service where the cashier brought out a paper bag stapled closed with the receipt. She wore a mask and gloves (which I saw her change just before grabbing my order from several on the counter through the window). She bought it to the opened passenger side window and set it on the seat, genuinely thanking us for our support during the epidemic. Though I couldn't see a smile on her lips because of the mask, I could see it in her eyes. I was impressed with the sincerity of the cleanliness efforts I could witness and the appreciation of our business.

We enjoy the food and the place is an interesting atmosphere. However, each time we have come here we have yet to receive good service. Its unfortunate but it feels as though the servers just dont care, or maybe theyre too busy, im not entirely sure. Our server tonight was less than stellar and couldnt even answer my question about what came in the tossed salad! Would be a much better place with better more caring service staff. Have to flag down/wait for service most of the time.

This place is good but sometimes the quality of the meat is suspect. Like they kept the meat a day or two longer than they should have. This happened with their catering at a wedding and and the restaurant. Thankfully I never got sick. I still eat here but the last couple of times I got a burger it was pretty poor. They have added some smart choices to fill out the menu for broad appeal, but the BBQ itself is still done incredibly well. Brisket was alright but the ribs, pulled pork & chicken, and smoke sausages were great along with all the sides we got. Has the atmosphere of a southern bbq state, and the food was awesome! The ribs and chili were exceptional, and the variety of homemade bbq sauces was great. The almost-completed renovation of the upstairs bar looks wonderful, and we really look forward to a return trip. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant a 5-star rating was because of the lacking service. The server was not very attentive, and we had to go up to the bar after 10 minutes of waiting for her to bring the check; would have been a little more understandable had it been busy, but it wasn't at the time! Otherwise, we had a wonderful experience and will be recommending to friends!

This place is very good in both atmosphere and food. It has a casual feel and family friendly. I visit KC's about 4-5 times a year. The location is set back from the street behind another establishment so watch for the sign. They have a nice outdoor eating area behind it that they would not likely have if they were facing Second Street. Parking can be tricky if they are real busy. It can get a little noisy but hey, it is a BBQ place. One of my favorites is the Beef Brisket Chinese Pie. South meets North in this recipe and the tasty brisket in it is what does it for me. Finally, a Chinese Pie with full flavor. The other meats are always moist and well seasoned - though not as smoky as I would like.

Very good barbeque served here. Service was prompt and friendly. Portions we're generous. Prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed the deviled eggs appetizer and all the mains we're very good. If I had to pick a nit, the smoked meats were served with sauce already on them although several choices of sauce were also on the table. It would have been better to leave the sauce off entirely so we could choose the style we preferred. Get experience here nonetheless.

Went there with a party of 11 on 1/27/17. We had forgotten to call ahead and my son called while on our way. They were of course a bit dismayed but we humbly apologized for our mistake. They accommodated uour party so well we could not have been more pleased. Our waiter was very attentive and explained everything to those that had not previously been there. The food was very good, well prepared, wonderful presentation and plentiful. If you love BBQ you have to go it is well worth the trip and easy to get too, not to mention well priced! Enjoy!!

This event used to be held at Murphy’s where the beer and food prices were MUCH cheaper since they had happy hour prices on beer and appetizers. It’s fine, but I wish there were nachos since they would probably be pretty damn good at a barbecue place with great meat.

My boyfriend and I went there last night. August 14th 2020. They were on a very long wait there was only the 2 of us , didn't matter where we sat. The front desk host was so accommodating. went upstairs and looked for spot at the bar for us. we were able to get right away! Not even a 5 minute wait. This was our 1st time here, we had an amazing time. We got one of the combo meals when you get to pick 2,3 or 4 meats. we got the pick 2 ribs were out of this world, chicken breasts was seasoned to perfection, sauces were amazing and all the sides were delicious. I suggest getting the dirty rice, coleslaw, mash potatoes and the chili. We also got the Bubba bucket, it's a drink and you get to keep the pail and shovel it comes in, So cool. We will be back

I've been here 4 times. I get the Burnt Ends which is better Brisket option. Everything is pretty typical for a BBQ Restaurant. To be honest I like the quiet simple places and you'll be hard pressed to find one in New England. This place had been visited by the Travel Channel (or something like it). Too much going in, busy busy. I go by myself and will start taking it to go. Owners are nice and so are the wait staff. If you're going to eat in go left (better service) than upstairs to the right (wait staff would look and carry on bs'ing with other patrons). I like that you can choose from a variety of sauces, but some of the cuts, especially those used in the shepherd's pie are pretty fatty (I prefer lean cuts). Great food. Cool atmosphere. Snappy service. Good music. We tried the pig tails, fried pickles, brisket, pulled pork, both ribs, hot links, fries, mashed potatoes, and chilli. Everything was great. Our only complaint was that they don't offer mac n cheese, which we prefer with our BBQ. They did however have macaroni salad.

KC's is great! I LOVE their ribs and pulled pork. The only thing I don't like is the change to high top tables. The metal chairs are REALLY cold and uncomfortable and I personally NEED to have my feet on the ground when I'm eating. I like the old tables with the brown paper that the kids could draw on while we waited. The new tables are nice to look at but don't work if you need to put them together for more than 4 people. The tables are smaller now too so hard to manage 4 peoples food on the table without a spill. Food is great though and the servers are always friendly.

Always a favorite place of mine to have a celebration meal for life's great events. I love BBQ and KC's is the best in the area as far as I know. The service is fine and the place has appropriate ambiance. I usually fly solo and the inside bar seating is a bit limited but they have outside cabana style bar in the summer. As their popularity increases they are sometimes overloaded on weekends, so be sure to check if there's a wait on the busiest days.

Update: we used KC’s to cater for our wedding in July. The food was awesome and everyone commented on how great it was. The staff were excellent too. The only downer was we asked fir mashed potato without skins, and we were disappointed to see a box of instant stuff being used. Other than that, everything was great. Original post from summer 2018: As we say in England, a “spit n sawdust” kind of place, with no frills whatsoever - styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery for heaven’s sake!! But that’s part of the charm and the food is superb. In fact, it was one of the tastiest meals we had in the two weeks we have been in NH. The meat is juicy and tasty, and the key lime pie was really good. Will deffo be back.

The ribs were top notch. The brisket was darn good too. The hush puppies were a tad bland and need some spice. They are nothing like the Texas hush puppies I grew up on. The collard greens were good, but more chubks of brisket would have been awesome. It felt like a teaser. The service was not even remotely acceptable. I sat with an empty Beverage for 20 minutes before I even saw our server. I finally flagged her down and asked for another drink. Another ten minutes later she brought me a drink. It was the wrong drink. I never saw her again until we had been waiting foelr togo boxes and the check for over half an hour. Every interaction with her was emotionless and kind of empty. I think she was having a bad day and could not shelf this to put on some quality customer service. This stop should have taken 45 minutes of our day, but it ate over an hour and a half. Most of it was waiting to even see our server. I'd go again, but I will never sit in her section again. It was some of the worst service ever. She could have at least attempted to care about her customers.

I've been a patron of KC's since they first started business back in Litchfield. Among the best in NH as far as BBQ goes. Ribs are flavorful and fall off the bone. The pulled pork and beef brisket are awesome. Portions are what you'd expect in a top rate BBQ. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here, and have never left hungry.

I come here all the time, never had a bad experience. A lot of BBQ places are really hit or miss depending on the day, but KCs is consistently great. As someone who eats a ton of BBQ and make it them self all the time, while I may never say KCs has the absolute best of something I cannot imagine a single time where I didn't clean my plate. I keep coming back because I know what to expect, and I am never disappointed.

This is my favorite BBQ Whole to eat at when visiting collages with my daughter. We love to sit in the bar area, which is a cool old barn with lots of neat airplane models and rock and roll memorabilia. The BBQ is great and the house brew is great too. Highly recommended!

Love the Apple BBQ sauce and the Carolina runs s close 2nd. Paper tablecloths with paper towel napkins give you a down home feel. Tea was slightly sour...didn't taste fresh but that changed me over to a Coke when I mentioned it. Maybe it was just that night. Oh... The hush puppies are the bomb.

Decor: KC's had a decor that was not to bad, I sat down stairs of the restaurant and was quite pleased with how much room there was, tables are not right on top of each other and even though it was carpeted, the carpet did not have that nasty smell that some places do. The tables had been covered with butcher paper and the BBQ sauces came to the table in an old beer container that i found rather tacky. FOOD: When the waitress Bonnie came to the table, she was really nice and fast. She took great care of us. I had ordered the 3 meat and 2 sides. " Brisket, Ribs, and Sausage" two sides were French fries and Coleslaw. The food came and looked very good. All the meat was cooked perfect with nothing dried out. The Beef brisket however tasted like my grandmother's pot Roast. Could not taste any smoke or seasoning. The Ribs were my favorite but they too lacked flavor. I did pick up a chili seasoning on the rib but it too lack that flavor that would have put them over the top. The sausage was nothing at all great as it tasted like the stuff you buy in the store. It did nothing to separate itself as to say "this is our own blend of Sausage" the coleslaw was just okay, it was a mayo based and the French fries tasted like fries. The corn bread was the best as it was moist. I dipped it in the Apple slather sauce and it was so good, it tasted like Dessert! The BBQ Sauces were nothing to write home about, the Apple slather tasted like Apple, the sweet BBQ sauce tasted like a cheap Sauce you'd buy at a store, the Carolina vinegar sauce tasted like Texas Pete's hot sauce, the spicy BBQ sauce tasted like the sweet with some Cayenne. FINALE THOUGHTS: All though the meat lacked smoke and flavor, the food was cooked great and the staff was very friendly. I however will not go back based off of my experience and for the price. I paid $26 for my food and a beer but for the drive and the lack of flavor, it's simply not worth it for me.

New to the area and was starving after a long day of moving. The perfect place to get your fill of quality meats smoked well. We got the "Pladda" and really enjoyed tasting most of what is offered. We liked the environment. Moose on a rocking chair. Brian our server was attentive and friendly. I will also add that the Maple Bacon Walnut ice cream was by far the best ice cream I've ever got from a BBQ joint. Will be coming back and looking forward to trying the wings.

This place is great! I discovered it while on business and now go back every time i'm in the area. I had the combo consisting of Ribs, Chicken & Brisket along with the "dirty rice" and baked beans. The corn bread is to die for! Mind you I generally don't even like corn bread but theirs is so good I actually look forward to it! Nice rustic decor and novelty items are also for sale. I purchased a tee shirt and look forward to going back there real soon. Oh and for those with bigger appetites than mine they have a 6lbs sampler platter that they serve on a shovel! It looked incredible but I just can't eat that much food. Thanks for a great restaurant!

The QQ Platte is NOT worth the $38 + $4 (pulled brisket) it all fit on the Styrofoam plate it is served on. It seemed like they were trying to copy the old Famous Dave's restaurant.

I'm from Texas. This BBQ haven is definitely up to par. You know how greasy bbq can hurt your stomach? KC's BBQ made my stomach feel BETTER. I'm not a doctor but these ribs have lasting effects. I got takeout with my girlfriend and she hasn't yelled at anyone in almost a week now. Y'all got magic in them pork spare ribs. That carolina red sauce? Are you kidding me??

So we learned about the place on Travel Channel, Best Places to Pig Out. I was disappointed that the did not know about the award they got from them and couldn’t show it to me. Good news is they have a lot of awards. The Barbecue was very good, can’t say that enough, the sauces they have are great. Now for the bad, we were sat in the basement dining area, and it was cold. I would recommend that you insist that you stay on the main floor or go up to the tavern. The side dishes were OK, nothing to write home about. The desserts are not worth the price, save your money and go a couple doors down to the DQ. The real drawback to the place was the waitstaff. Friendly but not professional. Had to ask for the sauces, then they were taken to another table before we were done. Just one example of the below standard waitstaff. One last thing, this place does use a lot of plastic, silverware, foam plates. I’m not an environmental crazy, but paper plate and silverware would make me feel a little better if I was going to eat there again. Or at least just paper plates and biodegradable silverware. We did enjoy the food and if we were in the area again we would go there again, but not worth the 1 hour and 20 min drive we made for the first try.

Very casual and fun place to eat ! My husband really likes the dry rub ribs and the variety of sides that he can choose from every time we go. I enjoy the pulled chicken, which is always tender with a nice smokey flavor. The table sauces are great to pour on my chicken too ! They just brought back the special stew they make, and I just tried it recently. It's delicious and I'm planning to order a full meal of it next time we go. And the homemade corn bread is a favorite for both of us !

Love the food options... Often it is hard to decide between the ribs, pulled pork Sammy, or the diablo burger! And only two sides How to choose between great cole slaw, chili, green beans, collard greens, and others! :-) Keep up the great work!

an original, eclectic, cool atmosphere with great service and decent bbq. large portions, but overall food was somewhat bland. the brisket was very good, tender, and flavorful. the pulled pork was bland. the chili cheese fries were ok, but the chili was rather sweet and the cheese sauce was bland. the smoked sausage was very good. but let's be honest, what real bbq place doesn't serve mac and cheese? seriously, no mac and cheese? drinks were good and consistent. overall, not a bad place, and not bad bbq for new england. would probably go back, but have definitely had much better down south... one last thing. absolutely the best corn bread I have ever had...

It's a little forgotten in the Manchester area in my opinion but it offers a nice BBQ spread worth making the trip for. Parking can be a little tight and challenging but once you're inside there are a lot of options for seating and dining. I am looking forward to going back for some brisket and Pecan pie.

Pretty great barbeque. The mashed potatoes and dirty rice aka rice pilaf mixed with chile are fantastic. The fried pickles are very juicy and satisfied myself and others despite our initial trepidation over the choice of spears instead of chips. The brisket along with all 4 sauces were great despite the meat being a little fatty. The cornbread was pretty plain.

I've been here a few times already, haven't been disappointed. The bbq plates are pretty big and delicious. The bar upstairs is accommodating with ample space and seating as well as many tvs. I'm not at the bar to watch tv, so this review will be about the food. The apps are delicious (I really like the onion rings), and every cut of meat they serve is fantastic. The one thing I must say is, I'm a huge brisket fan, and although their brisket is good, they could do it a little better.

First time placing a take out order, usually when we have KCs we eat in. Ordered the beef brisket, plenty of meat, coleslaw & french fries, my Uncle was raving about the tenderness & flavor. I ordered and paid for extra corn bread as it should have come with one piece and knowing my Uncle this meal would last him several meals. I was disappointed that I only received two small pieces of corn bread. Twenty dollars for one meal and two small corn breads after a 45 minute round trip drive. During the meal he stared choking, I didn't realize there were several large piece of rough cut coleslaw mixed in with the serving I played for him, no one is to blame this sometimes can happen, I'll be on the lookout tomorrow night. He was very happy with the meal anyway. 🙂

KC never fails to disappoint when it comes to the meats. In all truthfulness I haven't really gotten anything else besides sitting at the bar and getting a combo. Recently did go for lunch however, and learned they do have cheaper lunch specials. We did do a walk-in with a group of roughly 10 or so. The service slowed a bit noticeably from what I was used to, though we did not call in beforehand so it is our doing in that regard.

From the moment I steped outside I knew I was going to like this place. The smell of smoked barbeque was in the air. The outside was not perfect and gave a little charm to the place. You step inside to be greeted by old 1900's relics that fill this massive shelf. Being seated in the main dinning room the decorations and everything else shouted utilitarian. You eat with plastic forks and styrofoam plates. We ordered a meal that was served on a coal shovel. 10/10 will return again.

The menu is what got me. It was extremely hard to choose from because it was kind of unclear. I ended up with the BBQ sundae which is a odd concept. It's pulled pork, beans, and slaw layered. It was a bit ghetto how they brought it out, it was in a deli cup. On a styrofoam tray which seems to be what they do for all of the dishes. Some of the things that we saw on other tables looked cute but for somebody who's unsure of the feel of the restaurant it was very confusing to say the least. Prices were a bit up there like $13 a meal.

The service was fantastic, the food not so much. Perhaps it's the fact that I'm leery of spicy food but I didn't enjoy the pork ribs I ordered here - they were served dry, with no sweet BBQ sauce, the outer edges were still pink, undercooked to me. The corn bread had a bite to it, the cole slaw was okay - the best part of the meal was the onion ring starters. Maybe the fact that the Patriots were winning against the Vikings had something to do with the quality of the food. To be fair, my husband thoroughly reveled in his pulled pork pladda.
