Enjoyed a great meal from Sweet Havana during a private event with friends that are family. Everything.. everything was fantastic! The second plate and the dessert, not pictured, but thoroughly enjoyed. So grateful there was abundance to take home and looking forward to that as well.

Great food! The service is great and friendly. The seating is limited but they appear to do a lot of takeout so we had no trouble getting a table. They are also a bakery so lots of great breads and deserts as well.

Last week was my first visit to Sweet Havana, and I can't say enough about the management, the service, and the quality and presentation of the food. But there is more than food and fantastic desserts. The place has 2 venues for events. I recommend the small one for corporate meetings, small gatherings, and even intimate theater presentations. The large one is big enough for baby showers, family parties, etc. Schedule your meeting with the owners and I'm sure they will meet and exceed your expectations. Kudos to Margarita Coro and her team.

Tres leches cake was delicious! What ever those fried balls were were also very yummy, filled with ground beef and potatoes. Looks like they have a very nice event venue here too. Definitely recommend checking this spot out.

Came down to Louisville for a weekend trip and tried this yummy little restaurant... We tried a variety of foods - Cuban sandwich, tamale, potato ball (I don't know the actual name), croquetta (don't know if that spelling is right lol but it is fried dough with ham in it), and pastries... We had cafe con leche and mango juice to drink. We paid less than $30 for it all. Everything was delicious, especially when dipped in the green sauce they brought us. We came close to closing time and they were still very accommodating, they didn't rush us at all and gave excellent customer service. There was a little bit of a language barrier but they went out of their way even using Google translate to make sure we were getting what we ordered. Isis took great care of us and was super friendly! The restaurant itself is older and the decor pretty basic, but everything was clean. If you're looking for some delicious authentic Cuban food while in Louisville I recommend checking out Sweet Havana.

We shared a cuban sandwich combo (it's too big for me to eat alone) Cuban coffee and passion fruit nectar. Along with coconut pastries and flan to take home. All of it was delicious! I've never had cuban food this good outside of South Florida.

My family & I live in Florida & we visit New Albany for the holidays. Every year, we must make a trip to this restaurant because it's SO GOOD. We originally came for the cuban coffee and stuck around for the cuban sandwiches, croquettes and empanadas! Its a perfect experience every time. We LOVE this food. The restaurant upgrades its dining room every year and the sweet treats on display are always flawless.

We are from Miami and we are Cubans.. this literally gem… Cuban food mean clean fresh natural flavors. Lots of garlic cumin and Cuban seasoning. Guava which is underrated like avocado was for centuries. It’s just refreshing to eat something that’s not mash potatoes and burgers. Rice black beans skirt steak with lime. No spicy cheesing full gmo food. We ordered croquettes which were fire. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat my media noche because it had Mayo which I specifically asked not to put mayo, it just does not include Mayo at all not sure why they did that. The pastries were also fire. The counter girls were very polite. If you never had Cuban food. Try it, you will ask for the recipe.

It was fabulous!! My wife had leaned of the bakery some time ago and stopped there after work. The bakery goods are mini works of art that taste better than they look if that could be possible. I am far from an expert on Cuban food but the meals that we had were delicious, and the portions.large. The owner visited with us and we found her delightful. Our experience was great in every way and we are looking forward to the next one. Two thumbs way up check it out you'll be glad you did!

I came here from Louisiana to visit my family and was craving some cuban food.. ohh man their croquetas are amazing! Best I have ever had so far! The tamales were very authentic, it reminded me of the tamales my grandma makes and the customer service was very nice too. Pretty good place! Food was good. The only thing I would ask for was a menu. There may have been one but I couldn't find one. Luckily I was with friends and I basically ordered what they did as I'm not super familiar with Cuban food. There were 3 LCD TV screens above the counter maybe dedicate one or two of them as a menu board? This isn't a knock on the quality of food or service just trying to offer a suggestion that would help out confused people. The online order form is good so if that was printed out so we knew our options it would help tremendously.

First time here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I went with the Cuban sandwich and a side of rice. The sandwich and the rice were awesome. Portions are very generous. I wish I could have had one of everything on their menu. Everything looked delicious and freshly made. I will definitely be back. Make sure to try the green sauce. It's like a spicy, garlic butter sauce that goes great with everything I had.

Their pan cubano (cuban bread) is the best I've had in town! The sell the whole loaf and it is to die for :) Try all their Bakery items too! Delicious..its mostly to go with a few small tables. The food is precooked, and they fill a to go box for you. We got the chicken ,and the pork with black beans and rice, and plantains. It is reasonable priced, and very good. Large portions got the price!

Just behind the car lot on Shepherdsville Road.. the food had wonderful flavor I had the chicken vegetables and black beans and rice I wish the rice was not as dry but still good. Friendly clean and yummy authentic Cuban. Also had the tiramisu rich but needed more coffee flavor. I will be going back

The Masitas had a perfect flavor! Had to forget formality and pick it up to eat with my hands. Definitely need a lot of napkins, very juicy and tender. Congri...perfectly balanced not too much salt, just right. Chicken looked tender and moist, the entire dessert selection looks amazing...BUT I WAS TOO FULL! Did I mention all of this for about $10! Wow!

Ordered Havana Bakery Cafe for my employer because the job pays for lunch for the employees every Saturday, and when i say it was an absolute success, it was amazing, the people were so nice, and the price was great. At my job the people are very picky eater, but i did not even get a chance to finish bringing the food inside before they were digging in and seriously moaning with pleasure and they just keep saying this is so amazing. so when i say that Havana Bakery Cafe is a must go to I mean it, great people, great food, and amazing service.

As a Cuban (although to be honest, I left Cuba as a toddler) I can honestly say this food reminds me of home. Cuban food is absolutely delicious, and this restaurant was a pleasant surprise throughout my travels across Kentucky. Wow. One of the best cuban-Latin food i have ever tried in Louisville ky. I did have lamb and was amazing. My girlfriend had "Ropa vieja " with plantain and "congris" and she said that was really good. Btw. Ropa vieja is beef but cooked kinda diferent. It tastes really good.

I found Heaven, or maybe just Havana, in Louisville. The food here is amazing. The Ropa Vieja, The Yuca, The Cubano, The Flem... Yes please. It is hard to find. Hidden behind a car lot on the corner of Shepherdsville Rd and Fern Valley Rd. The Sign is in Spanish so don't get confused if you only speak English. Don't worry though they do speak English inside so they got you. Do yourself a favor, find it.
