I was in Louisville for a tournament and our team ended up stopping by here for dinner. We ended up coming back for more! The staff are incredibly hospitable and the portions are huge. All the food is perfectly seasoned and I miss this restaurant dearly despite it being 2000 miles away.

Food was amazing one of the best Greek Salad's I have had in a while. Also had the Hummus Chicken Shawarma and Baba Ghanoush and warm pita which were flavorful and nice presentation. The server was also very helpful in explaining the specials and menu. I will definitely be returning.

This was my 1st visit and I was happy to see some authentic, freshly made mediterranean food!!! Hummus, Seafood Medley, Greek salad and pistachio walnut baklava was very good!! Flavors are on point and quality of food is very good. I will be coming back for dinner… I might have to change it to 5 ⭐️… Must visit!

Everything we ordered was soooooo delicious! The lentil soup and the baba ghanoush had me melting in my seat, it was so good! The peta was fresh and hot! My gyro meat was very tender and clean and my friends chicken was full of spice and savory. We can't wait to go back and try their tiramisu!

My lamb chops were delicious. I'm pretty sure they were cooked well done instead of medium like requested. Seeing as though there wasn't any pink to speak of. In any case, it was still delicious so it's all good. It's helps that it's near to work as well.

Nice overall cuisine. The atmosphere is ok but dated. Try the Turkish coffee while you wait for your entree, it is amazing!

Great food and atmosphere l loved the mixed chicken kabaab like l was already sold.Then l tried the dessert baklava Jesus christ best l have had hands down .the peanut butter one l was skeptical but l ended up getting 2 was my favorite. They have different types pistachio, almond.l was asked to warm it first didn't even make it home to the microwave lol .

Had a to go order of the mixed kabobs with Greek salad and hummus. Why can't my hummus taste this good? The seasoning of the meats was delicious and great portion size. The crown jewel however was the pistachio baklava I ordered for dessert, oh my goodness it was amazing! Friendly staff, clean and easy to find.

What a friendly place! We were first served a mint tea that was slightly sweet and so delicious! I mentioned that I was gluten free, and the server sent out some sliced carrots and cucumbers, instead of the traditional pita bread with hummus. Excellent hummus! The chicken schwarma was delicious with the seasoned rice, and Greek salad. Everything tasted authentic. I'm definitely coming back with friends and family!

Wonderful staff and amazing local Mediterranean cuisine. Servings were very large for a reasonable price. We were greeted immediately and our server was very kind. Highly recommend the gyro sandwich and lamb kabobs. Will return!

Some of the best and well-seasoned Mediterranean food I've ever tasted! The people are friendly, the prices are great, and the food is delicious. Even better, if you just want a small comfort meal on a rainy day, they have lentil soup and toasted pita bread for $2.99!!! That alone will fill you up. Vegetarian and vegan options are available. I could go on and on.... Just go try it!

These folks are awesome. My favorite is the Athenian Chicken, but the shawarma and gyro are also really good. Most entrees come with a choice of salad, and a green salad, and rice. Several choices of baklava, all of which are delicious. Great place for food on Preston Hwy.

This Mediterranean restaurant is outstanding! It has all the classics executed with pride, and the portions are generous. We ordered their platter for two that had kabobs, shwarma, and a whole lot more. It was huge and so delicious. It came with 3 sides and we got the babaganoush, hummus and yogurt salad. All were great but the babaganoush was amazing. We also got the dolmades and falafel. Tremendous. We ordered a kabob and the chicken strip for our kids. The chicken strip were, again, huge. The staff were very friendly and took the time to explain the dishes and answer our questions. This restaurant is a gem.

This is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant. Love the lamb chops from here, the spices they use make them delicious. On Fridays they have a buffet as well as regular menu. The lentel soup is wonderful and also the humus and the baba ghanoush. You won't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Food is so good. The grilled veggies with either baba ganoush or hummus is my favorite. The service is excellent. Bathrooms are clean. There is a changing table in the women's restroom.

I’ve passed by this spot numerous times and I wish I had given it a chance sooner - so good! Their gyros are grilled so that the pita is a little crispier than usual, they were phenomenal. Their hummus is delicious as well. On top of it all, they’ve got a great outdoor sitting area and extremely friendly workers. I highly recommend if you’re craving Mediterranean.

Stopped in here with the fam for dinner. The service was excellent. The kids were hungry and they brought out pita bread and hummus asap. The kids got chicken kabobs and fries and loved it. They even ate the lettuce their kebabs came on. Hubby got the kebab combo and liked it, I got the grilled veggies and a side of falafel. I do with I had more veggies and less hummus, it was a ton of hummus. Delicious hummus though. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the falafels. They were a little over fried or something. I also got some tea, it was black tea with sage. Very tasty and served in the cutest little teacup you ever did see and a tiny teapot. I would highly recommend eating here!

First time eating Mediterranean and I was impressed. I went in the the early afternoon and it was empty. I dined in and while there many more ppl came, from all cultures. My friend suggested the chicken shawarma which was great! It came with pita bread and tzatziki sauce and your choice of salad. I chose the Greek yogurt salad which reminded me a lot of cucumber salad (Greek yogurt, cucumbers, parsley, and garlic I believe). For a beverage, I ordered Greek tea (I think). *my friend knew a lot more than me and pretty much ordered everything for me* he paid the bill so I'm not sure how much it all came up to, but everything's pictured.

We went here for dinner during our National Speech and Debate tournament and it was delicious! They have vegetarian options and a kids menu for picky eaters haha. I got the vegetarian Kalaya and it was super good!

Pleasantly surprised by the food. I had the lamb kebab and it was very tasty. (I had asked for no pink but it was a bit pink any way.) The hummus was delicious. I believe it was made in house. Generous portions. Excellent wait staff. Prices were fair. I could actually have a conversation with my friend because the music was not too loud. The only thing that bugged me was that the pita bread was not fresh. Seems a shame since everything else was so good.

Amazing food and excellent service. The restaurant was neat and clean and very welcoming. The food was delicious. I love Mediterranean food, and everything was seasoned just right. Hot, fresh pitas with your meal. Lovely tzatziki sauce. I highly recommend the Turkish salad. It has an amazing spice. Maybe I never had good falafel before, because these weren't like any others. They were hot and crispy outside and melt in your mouth inside. The Mirage platter for 2 was more than enough for 3 and had a huge variety. We had already started digging in before I remembered to take pictures. The Baklava is flaky and buttery. Cruncy and soft. Delightful. I will definitely eat there again.

Food was delicious, Moroccan Chicken was a daily special. My only complaint is the potion size is too small for the price of this entree. Then need to either give you a little more, or include humus along woth the salad.

We stopped in here on our way home after a flight, it was so convenient having an ethic dining option close to the airport. Our waiter was over the top friendly, kind, and attentive. Their food was very good and came out quickly. We should’ve taken pictures come to think of it, we were just enjoying the moment instead! PS: get the pistachio baklava!

Looking forward to a return visit to try other items on the menu. The chicken shawarma was very good and the baklava was a nice finish. Restaurant was clean and the service was friendly and attentive. We came just after 12:00 on a Saturday and it was not too busy. Within 30 minutes it became quite busy.

Good food for an out of the way, back woods location. Don’t let the sad looking Preston Hyway deter you. Especially if you are already in the area. I will definitely choose Mirage when Im forced to be around that block again.

When I first walked in for the first time I was really happy to feel such a welcoming environment with out having to be told anything. As I was deciding what to eat people were walking out complimenting the staff on how great the food was which really made me excited. Visiting from out of town and chose this one based on reviews and let me tell you it did NOT disappoint! Can't recommend it highly enough, it was the best mid Eastern food I've ever had. I got the chicken shwarma wrap, my husband got the kefta kabobs, then we split a piece of pistachio baklava and Turkish coffee for dessert. The baklava is hands down the best I've ever had. The staff are all so nice, service was great. Will likely be going back this weekend! Treat yourself, to miss out on this place would be a sin.

One of my favorite louisville privately owned restaurants. Very courteous staff and amazing flavorful food. Hummus made in house from raw ingredients. Baklava is to die for as well as Arabic tea.

Taste is on point every time. Very friendly staff. Love love the lentil soup! Had the beef steak skewer before that was delicious but came back another time and now it’s ground beef which didn’t taste as good as the beef steak. However, the chicken skewers are pretty good.

If you like authentic Mediterranean food, this is the place for you. I ordered the lamb chops with their yogurt mint salad and mint green t6. So good. My husband got their gyros, not really like traditional gyros. The meat was ground instead of shaved, didn't taste bad but not what you normally get when you order a gyro.

We stayed at the SureStay opposite from Mirage whilst in Louisville for the Kentuckiana Dog Show at the Expo Center. If you are staying near the Expo Center then Mirage is a great option for eat in or takeout! My wife and I got the Mirage Special, which came with chicken, lamb and beef kabobs; beef and chicken shawrama; falafels; and a selection of dips with pitta bread. The food was delicious and there was more than enough to feed the two of us. The staff were very friendly and welcoming when I picked the food up. I would definitely recommend this place for great Mediterranean food!

Mirage had been on my list of restaurants to try for a while. The gentleman who took care of me was the owner I’m assuming. He answered questions about the menu thoroughly. Even though I was doing carry out, I did appreciate the cleanliness of the restaurant and pickup area. The food is prepared within sight, which I find equates to a higher quality meal. The food was seasoned perfectly. The tzatziki was amazing, probably the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back to explore more of the menu. No photos due to the food being inhaled with delight upon receiving 😊

EXQUISITELY DELICIOUS!! The proportions, presentation, prices and staff are absolutely wonderful. I am so happy they are able to have dine-in again because, while the takeout is just as delicious, it's just not the same without the amazing staff and atmosphere (even with the CDC guidelines). Actually really enjoyed the food but visited just before close requesting to be seated outside and wasn't sure if we were being discouraged because they wanted to close and go home or what. Other than that, my friend and I shared the hummus and salad plate as well as an order of stuffed grape leaves and falafel, all was spectacular. In the end, the waitress was so accommodating and sweet. We left with a sampler of the various baklava to share with our Airbnb hosts and ended up making recommendation to them to patronize this restaurant.

Great food and service! The gyro plate was delicious. Ordered with the vegetables which were spiced that added a bit of zing. Remarkable! The pistachio baklava was recommended by another customer that saw me come looking at the dessert case, which turned out to an excellent choice. Overall, the outside appearance didn't give us a lot of confidence, but taking a chance paid off. Atmosphere improvements would help, but the food and service speak for themselves.

Favorite mediterranean restaurant has been cutting corners due to Covid and it shows so Google lead us to this restaurant. The food was great. Lamb chops and Athenian chicken dishes were very good as well as the Hummus. Staff was very friendly and made sure we were happy with our dishes. We will definitely be back.

Awesome place! Doesn’t look like a fancy place from the outside but looks can be deceiving. They have really good flavored food and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Down to earth place and the owner seems nice and helpful. The chicken kabobs, Greek salad, curry rice, and the hummus was really good.

I didn't expect to get some banging beef shawarma while passing through Louisville but this place was right across from my hotel and I decided to give it a shot after reading some reviews. if you're staying at that hotel and deciding whether or not to eat here or to drive elsewhere I would seriously suggest just keeping the car parked and getting some food here. I have had some truly incredible shawarmas all over the world and I've had some really bad ones and given that we're in Louisville I was kind of expecting this to be closer to the bad ones but it brought back memories of truly delightful shawarmas I've had in Amsterdam and I highly recommend checking this place out. if I lived here I would be back once a week.

Amazing Mediterranean restaurant! The food is great and the prices are more than reasonable. I first visited a couple months ago and have already been back five times. The black tea served in warm metal teapot is great. I highly recommend Mirage if you enjoy Mediterranean food. Located right next to Louisville Toppers on Preston Highway.

Visited for lunch recently with a party of five and found the food to be pretty good--not the best I've had but good. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I tried their chicken shawarma with a side of hummus. The chicken was okay but lacked taste, as did the hummus. Seemed to be lacking spice. The salad pickles also had an odd taste.

I have had Mirage Mediterranean 3 times now, and it was good each time. I particularly enjoyed the gyro meat which went along perfectly with the rice and salad. If you've never tried Falafel, give it a try at this place.

We came to Kentucky from Indiana to go to another restaurant we loved. When we found it was closed due to Covid I googled for another restaurant and decided to try this one. I’m glad we did. Small, quaint, great food! Our waiter was friendly and prompt. The other waitress even made sure to take care of us as well. Great team work for good customer service. Our kofta meat came out a little undercooked but they remade us another one quickly. Prices are good too. Great experience!

Food was excellent. Ordered the chicken Kabobs with hummus and baclava. Food was ready within 10 mins. Salad tasted fresh, chicken was well seasoned and rice was just right. The baclava was amazing. I received a nice big piece. Definitely would go back.

I haven't had Mediterranean food since I moved to KY. I was in the city so i did a search for shawarma before going home and this was the closest to me and had great reviews. The man at the counter was very kind and the food was good. The rice and chicken shawarma was very well seasoned. The tabouli was different than I'm used to(a bit more salty, less citrusy) but very fresh ingredients and tasty. The hummus was amazing. I forgot to ask about garlic paste which i missed with my meal and next time I'll be sure to ask for extra bread. A little more expensive than i would have paid back home but not unreasonable. Tabouli the next day was amazing.

I ordered to go... omg, so delicious! I had the 3 kabobs dinner entree. Lamb, chicken, beef. Came with Greek salad, rice & one option of your choice. I got the hummus with bread. It was so fresh I can honestly say I haven't had better in a long time. Seasoned exactly right & not over/under cooked. The lady who took my order over the phone was also very nice. All this food for under $20. I could easily eat off this meal for 2 days. :) Also, the menu has pictures on-line & in restaurant.

This is our second time here and my husband and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. I think they have the best hummus I've ever tasted and the shawarma (both chicken and beef) was delicious. I tried the Turkish coffee this time and loved it. Food is great, service is fast and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. What more could you want?

Excellent food and superior service! We were staying at the la quinta across the street and decided to have dinner here based on the reviews. It was wonderdul. The hummus was creamy and delicious. We shared the mirage special which had a taste of almost everything. It was all delicious. I can't express how great the service was enough. Even our 2 year old was treated with great respect. We enjoyed it enough to come back for lunch the next day before getting back on the road. Oh and try the tea! Excellent on a cold day.

Appearance of outside & location almost put me off, but once inside the restaurant, I was glad I decided to try it. My spouse and I love this restaurant. We consider ourselves lovers of all kinds of food and we don't care if it's considered "five star" or "mom and pop" as good food is good food. I am a vegetarian and he is a carnivore. This place satisfies us both and the food is authentic and delicious. The falafel sandwich is my favorite but I have eaten all the vegetarian foods here and have nothing bad to say about any of them. The service has always been excellent and someone always says "hello" the second we walk in the door. The amount of food for the price is excellent. Don't over order unless you plan on a "to go bag". The owner is a very nice person and I wish for them to succeed because I love their restaurant!

The food was pretty good but the staff acted like we were some kind of inconvenience/bother to them or something. It was very expensive. They put my food in a small to go box instead of a regular size and it didn't fit. They literally stapled my to go box closed. They don't have ranch which was a little disappointing.

Fantastic service, delicious food and a cheap bill for large groupings. I would recommend this place to those beginning their journey in Mediterranean food or those who are experienced! Small and cozy, with a large seating space, of what i'd say is around 40-50 customers at any given time. I would recommend asking for their daily soup as an appetizer (i prefer the lentil!), and then going for anything involving their falafel. It was the perfect flavor and it wasn't over or undercooked! It filled me up with no room for dessert. They also have a wide variety of drinks, including exotic Teas served in crystal cups.

I like the atmosphere of this place it was nice and clean. There was several great options to choose from. On Friday and Saturday the have a buffet. Also with several different options the buffet prices range from $10.95 to $13.95 depending on what you get but it is well worth it. You will not leave disappointed.

Open during this pandemic and worth the drive! I usually upload pictures with my reviews but by the time I got home we just dove right in. We got two chicken sandwich Shawarma’s, falafel balls, and baba ghanouj. Everything was great very tasty definitely would recommend what we got and we’ll go back to try other things for sure

The food was OK, my main issue was the chicken and beef (I got the chicken schawarma and my husband got the beef schawarma) it was cut up into tiny pieces which is not what we are used to from a Mediterranean or Arabic restaurant. -Good flavor tho. The pita was hard. I don't know if it was toasted or stale but we prefer ours soft and the kids meals don't come with sides which is odd.

Very tasty cusine from the Arab parts of the Mediterranean, (Lebanon, Palestinian, Egypt) Don't be misled by "garlic tahini", it is authentic toum, very pungent raw garlic sauce. As good as you will find in Louisville.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville, and I'm always pleased to see it packed with customers some evenings. Protip: Sometimes there is complimentary soup in the evenings, as well! I come here a lot -- whenever I can -- and I'm consistently happy with the food and service. I'm actually recognized by the waitstaff a lot, which is unusual for me. I usually order the felafel light meal, which comes with the best pitas you'll find in the city, along with hummus and a choice of salad (the baba ganouge and Jerusalem salads are the best -- the Turkish is not what I expected). A delicious and extremely filling vegetarian meal for a more than fair price. They also have some of the best baklava in the city. I've been known to stop in to pick some up without even eating!

Go to place for lunch. Food is always good! I love that they allow you to substitute vegetables for rice. It helps us to stay on our diet. However, they do cut corners-- Using Italian dressing instead of the authentic lemon n olive oil dressing and Using sour cream to what should be yogurt in their tzatziki sauce. Try their hot tea! It's delicious!

The staff was very friendly, and got us what we needed (a party of 8) with ease. Everyone LOVED their individual dishes! How I wish we had this restaurant in North Carolina! One or two went back the next day, as their choice of healthy, fresh food...instead of joining the team for pizza. Lol! Here's the good and bad Good- food is tasty, nice variety. Wait staff friendly. The Bad- You would think that spending $13 a lunch plate might get you a small cup of tzikki sauce for your gyros, not so fast!... the waitress said that it was .75. When I said to her that it was like McDonalds charging for ketchup, she asked her boss(store owner) if she could comp me a small container- I saw him deny the request not 20ft away, loud enough to hear the conversation during lunch time with several dinners. I can't believe that the sauce is not even a standard with gyro platters. Debating a return trip for this level of greed alone.

In today’s day & time of healthy eating (with not many restaurants filling the bill) Mirage is a wonderful addition to the Louisville Restaurants. I have never eaten ANY salad not fresh, I have never eaten anything bland. THE ENTIRE MENU IS A FEAST FOR YOUR SENSES. And, the best part of it IT IS HEALTHY! The food was excellent. I was greeted by several of the employees when I entered. I would come here again. The decor and flashing LED lights are misleading. If they got rid of the flashing lights, it would class up this place a bit.
