(I have only ever ordered take out from here so my five stars are given based on those experiences) Every time I order online, my order is ready within 10-15 minutes. It’s awesome and they have a texting service where they text you to let you know it’s ready! Beware: the online ordering system says your order will be ready a LONG time after you place it, but don’t be deterred. It’s always wrong and your food will be ready a LOT sooner. I love ordering online, driving to the restaurant, walking in, giving my name, then easily being able to take my food right home. It’s quick and the food has always been accurate, hot, and delicious. The price for the dishes is a little on the higher side, but I will say that they give pretty large portions and they don’t skimp on anything. The service I have gotten has been mostly just me saying my name and them giving me my order and wishing me a good night so I don’t have much feedback, but they have always seemed friendly. I really love this spot for a quick takeout night and I’m glad they are so close to me!

Really enjoyed this place. Went on a Friday night and there was live music and it was excellent. The decor is awesome, wheelchair accessible, nice clean restrooms, huge menu, incredible drink selection of all kinds of beers, wines, and liquors, and really good food. Prices were slightly higher than the average Mexican food style restaurant and larger than most. The salsa, however, was weak and was very runny so I ended up mixing habanero into it for some flavor. The chips were pretty good though and the staff is friendly and entertaining. Chimichanga meal was great and every plate we saw was bigger than expected. The loaded nachos were not great sadly. Not much meat or flavor and a LOT of chips and for some reason my nachos had CARROTS in them. The menu did not list chunked carrots as an ingredient in the nachos so I didn't eat much of them. Margaritas were good and they sold shots of liquor if you went to the bar. Overall, not a bad place and worth the visit!

Wow. Never thought I would find such good food in Kentucky!! Everything is seasoned where is stands alone or balances the meal. Found this place on accident but I am willing to drive 3hrs to get here again.

I deliver for here quite regularly and have been wanting to try them for a bit. I ordered one of the combos today and was not disappointed!!! It was ready quickly and tasted great. I got some chips and salsa salsa with it and enjoyed them too. I didn't know their chips were tri colored which for some reason made me really happy. The salsa has great flavor and came with a decent kick to it.

Honestly, the food there is amazing! The price was comparable to other restaurants in the area, and the portions were large for 1 person. I ate here for lunch, and actually went back with my buddies for dinner! Definitely worth the visit!

We overall had a good experience, the food was good and the staff was friendly. I was expecting maybe a mango salsa with the chips or something given the name of the restaurant. The burrito could of been warmer in the center, I think because of its size the heat didn't have enough time to penetrate it in the fryer. My wife got the chilaquiles, she had planned on sharing it with our 1 year old but it turned out to be spicy. would recommend adding a little chilli symbol next to it on the menu or something. Would also like if there were napkins on the table.

Tried this neighborhood Mexican restaurant finally. Overall, it's a little above average. Inside it looks clean, most servers were ready to serve, food hot. One thing that needs to improve is: The beef was kind of tough. Another that definitely needs to improve was the Mexican rice: It was hard--as if you were chewing gravels, and it had no taste. We've had good Mexican rice, but in this place this rice was horrible.

Excellent experience here. It was our first visit and we had the buffet this time and we were very impressed. We started out with salsa and chips. Had some fresh and chunky guacamole which was awesome. I made tacos and they had all the fixings for them. Plenty of sour cream too. My wife tried a little bit of a few things and liked everything. Five star with compliments to the friendly staff. We will be back.

The shrimp/pork/ and Mexican Brisket tacos are phenomenal!! (Brisket was my favorite). There's tons of cilantro on them, I loved it but worth a mention. Margaritas are tasty. This is a great little Mexican restaurant!

Its pretty good. The margaritas aren't that great and kind of weak. The staff was nice. My co-workers and I went on our lunch break. They do offer a buffet for lunch...I opted not to use it. It was maybe an hour before the buffet was over and all the food looked like it had been sitting there for while. I went back a few times hoping that fresh food would be set out but it never happened. I really don't have to go back. Its just ok 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️.

We were driving cross country and using Google "Restaurants near me" to pick places to eat. We wanted to eat local where possible. The reviews said Mango's was a good choice and they were spot on. We walked in to find a bright, beautiful restaurant. It was spotless, not bad for post Sunday brunch time. All of the staff were extremely friendly and polite. We opted for the buffet. There was a wide variety of choices and everything was hot, fresh and tasted wonderful. As we were finishing the manager stopped by to ask how we like our meal. I told him exactly what you see here. My only regret is that coming back would be 300 miles each way.

They have a separate event space. It's pretty big. They set up a room full of round tables that seated 8. White linens on the tables. White chairs. There were two long 2-sided buffet tables going. Very little, to no waiting in line. The food was warm, fresh, and good. Their guacamole was delicious with fresh herbs and veggies. They sat up a cash bar. All employees were friendly and welcoming. There are bathrooms for the event space. (separate from the restaurant) They were very clean. Dare I say, even smelled nice. I would say definitely check out their event space should you need one.

I'll say this I went at 4pm and there wasn't a crowd surprisingly! I got the fajitas they were cooked really good. I would have gotten more than 3 tortillas. Beer was nice and cold and the margaritas we're strong! I'll be going back.

Went here for the first time on a busy night, and it couldn't have gone better. Service was fast our waiter was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. There was also live music (old country standards) which wasn't overwhelming. Four of five stars. Will definetely be back.

Yesterday my phone decided to leave a lot of google reviews. I am not sure how this happened, but I am editing my review now so that it is more accurate... I have only ever been to Mango's for their lunch buffet. It is super reasonably priced and most of the items are very good. I find it an especially good deal that there is guac and queso on the buffet!

I go to the location on Dutchman's lane all the time and LOVE IT. HOWEVER, this location is completely subpar. Upon arrival, we thought it was closed since there were no signs on. I didnt feel like driving to the other one, so I walked up and checked and they were open. When we entered, we were asked if we wanted menus. We both already knew what we wanted, so we declined. We didnt know that this now meant they thought we were eating at the buffet. Our waiter was a bit confused when we said we wanted to order off the menu but didnt have menus, but he figured it out. Our food came out quickly. My pulled chicken in my taco salad was not pulled. There was a huge chunk of un-pulled chicken in the middle. Fortunately, it was tender and easy for me to pull apart. Unfortunately, it completely lacked flavor. At the other location, this is a really good dish. At this one, it was bland, the shell was very soggy, and there was almost no lettuce in the SALAD. Although I did not eat the buffet, it was close by and was swarmed by flies and I never saw anyone cover the food or refresh anything. I will not be back to this location.

Only Daily Mexican Lunch Buffet in Louisville. A great deal for a quick lunch on weekdays, a family meeting place on weekends. Other times or not in the mood for a buffet an extensive menu and al a cart service. All I can say is that everyone I have taken there has returned with their family or friends.

We’ve been to Mango’s a couple times since we moved to J-town. It’s relatively close to home since they closed Señor Iquanas, (which was our favorite close-to-home Mexican), so we’re searching for our go-to place for good Mexican food and service. For a Friday night it was reasonably busy, especially since most Mexican eateries are packed for Friday dinner. We were seated immediately in the section by the bar. I’d prefer to sit away from the singer that we’ve seen there every time we’ve visited. By the look of thing Mango’s occupies 3 storefronts in the retail area it’s located in, the bar being farthest from the door. The color scheme isn’t as bright as some Mexican restaurants, but is still colorful and has the requisite décor and probably a dozen screens tuned to various sports. We sat for nearly ten minutes before we were acknowledged by any wait staff. Aside from the chips and salsa (that were delivered almost immediately), at least a half dozen servers passed us with not so much as a “how are you doing?”, “can I get you anything?”, or “your server will be right with you”. As it turns out, the server who would turn out to be ours passed us several times during this ten minute period. By the time we were finally greeted we were ready with both our drink and meal orders. The menu is enormous and if you’re unsure of what you’re looking for, it could take a while to narrow it down. While I’m not normally one to opt for a burger in a Mexican eatery, the Choriburger sounded interesting. A burger topped with Chorizo (aahhh…Chorizo…), and a bunch of other stuff. It also mentions fries “and one side”. “…and one side” generally means that you get to choose one side, based on the sides referenced elsewhere on the menu. That is apparently not the case, because when I placed my order and inquired about “and one side” I was told there wasn’t one. #ConfusingToTheCustomer After a little push back (I become that customer when something I’m told by a server conflicts with something on the menu) he relented (all I wanted was a side of jalapeños). While I expected a healthy wait for our food based on the customer level, it wasn’t too bad and we had it in less than 15 minutes, hot and accurate. Let me tell you about this Choriburger. I was honestly expecting a chorizo patty of some kind. Not the case. It’s a pretty large ground beef burger patty with chorizo on top, along with lettuce, black beans, pico de gallo and cheese. This thing was H U G E and very messy. I endeavored to eat it neatly and with dignity, but it wasn’t easy. In a word, it was fanfriggin’tastic. The fries could have been warmer, but I wasn’t really after the fries in the first place. On Friday nights (I’m not sure about any other nights) Mango’s has a lady that sings to prerecorded background music. She uses a wireless mic and is the reason I always request to sit in the area by the bar, because I prefer my Mexican meal in an atmosphere that is more-or-less authentic. The singer (and the featured singers she brings up on occasion) definitely have an Old Country slant, and I’m not really sure how it fits in with the Mexican motif. They are what amounts to karaoke singers. Nothing against Old Country or karaoke (I’m known to belt out a few tunes myself, and have won contests with my novelty stuff), but personally I find it more of a distraction than enjoyable. When it was time to go we had to wait, again, another 10 or so minutes for our check before we ultimately had to flag our server down on his way to another table, although he'd passed by us four or five times. I want to love Mango’s. I really do. It’s close to home, the food is great and they have some pretty unique items (including random red and green chips with your chips and salsa). There are a couple things that keep the relationship from forming. The first being the level of service we’ve encountered on each visit and the second being the not-quite-authentic-to-the-atmosphere singer. We’ll definitely be back, and we invite you to WOW us.

Not bad for what I term "Gateway Mex" (i.e. people new to non-Tumbleweed "Mex-Mex"). Are there more authentic places in town (especially in Okolona or at food trucks in southern Louisville)? Yes. If you or the companion aren't ready to explore the joys of lengua burritos, though, it's not bad.
