Just go. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now and I heard people complain about how it’s too expensive. Is it a little pricey? Yeah…but the food quality, service and environment were all incredible so I think the value was spot on. I got held up at work, missed our reservation, and they worked with us and got us in on Valentine’s Day. The garlic sticks were to die for. The pizza was awesome. We don’t drink alcohol but the drinks looked spot on. We got one appetizer, one entree, one dessert, and one soda. With tip it was 50 bucks and we were both FULLLLLLL. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Cant wait to go back.

Pizza lounge with a soothing ambience. Pizza/ bar with a great staff and awesome food. Food was good but not outstanding but legit enough to return for a re up. We give this experience a 4 out of 5. Ordered mozzarella sticks, three pizzas and a kale salad. The waitress was outstanding and the water served was on point. Cheers!

Made reservations for 2 (highly recommend) and was sat at a very small table (when making your reservations request a booth!). Waitress came right over and took our order. There was a hiccup in the kitchen and it took a while for the food but everything came out right and hot. Great vibe and good pies!

Warning: I may be showing my age! Emmy's Squared pizza was amazing! The crust reminded me of the old Pizza Hut deep dish pizza crust (hence the age warning). I made a reservation for 10 people for 6:15 on a Friday night. We were sat promptly. Service was mostly good. We had one small issue with an order that was on gluten free crust. They made it with normal crust. It took forever for it to come out. Most of us were finished eating by the time the pizza did arrive. We weren't in a rush so we didn't mind the wait. All the pizzas were delicious and fresh. Beer selection was good. We were able to sit outside. The courtyard has a very neat atmosphere with other restaurants and bars sharing the space. Great experience! Highly recommend!

I absolutely had to try this place because I love pizza ! We ordered the roasted turmeric cauliflower (excluded the raisins and pine nuts) and it was absolutely DISGUSTING, it did not have any savor at all and I’m sure it would have been worse with the raisins and pine nuts. I ordered the big ang which DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It was delicious ! Banana peppers, fresh ricotta, mozzarella, house made red vodka sauce, and meatballs… it was perfect ! A friend ordered, the Caesar salad with chicken, she said it was okay… I didn’t try it but it looked pretty good. The Caesar salad has actual anchovies on it, as a real Caesar salad should. Overall, I give Emmy squared 4 stars just because I love pizza and the big ang was great !

This is my second time ordering from Emmy Squared. I don't mind paying a bit more for some good eats -- their Detroit style pizza is really quite tasty. I had a kale salad the first time around that was amazing and tried to order today. Sadly it was not available so I decided to try their spinach and asparagus. I got a flop of a salad for $15. They have great flavors coming out of the kitchen but I certainly won't be back if I'm not getting my money's worth.

Very busy, but we had reservations thankfully. Great salad choices, pizzas, etc. We enjoyed their craft beer selection (it was cans). Make sure to ask if unsure about allergies/preferences, but meatballs also contained pork.

Really great Detroit style pizza. We loved the crispy crust, flavourful sauce, and fresh toppings. Pizzas could be shared between 2 people, or just one if you're really hungry. We also got the pomegranate margaritas, perfectly sweet but not too sweet and quite refreshing. The Caesar salad was really really good. Loved the dressing and anchovies that came on it. Ten out of ten, we would go here again when we are in Louisville.

What a beautiful space and the food and drinks is even better! The Colony pizza was so delicious. Love that hot honey on the pizza. The Burger Big Matt was also so good. The sauce on the burger is insane good. Definitely great spot for me and my friends on the weekend for cocktails and good eats. I’ll be back Emmy!

Food was good...loved the pizza. Spinach and mushroom salad also very good but was much smaller than the wedge for the same price so it was not enough to split with my wife...just much smaller for the same price...expected something just a little more substantial. Old Fashioned was too sweet and was replaced with a proper one on request. So I would give it 4 stars if the salad had been larger and drink had been right the first time. Server was very good but some of the other staff seemed unhappy and a bit surly. But we all feel that way sometimes so it's just the luck of the draw. I would go back and next time I would simply ask them not to skimp on the salad, don't hit the simple syrup to hard (or at all) or just get a beer and try to give them something to laugh about after a long day.

I ordered the MVP pizza. It had vodka sauce, pesto, with a garlic spread and sesame crust. The pizza combination was good but the crust was black. The picture does not show the black crust because I cut it off. The manager stated that it was a black cheese crust. What?? I've never heard of that. It was burnt and tasted like it. Pretty pricey at $18 for burnt crust.. The waffle fries , however, was outstanding! It was a busy Saturday night so the wait was long, and it was extremely loud. Would I go there again? Definitely! There were a variety of interesting combos I've never heard of, plus the traditional ones. Will I accept the burnt cheese crust story again? NO!

The ambiance in this place is inviting and upbeat before you even walk thru the doors. Great place to vibe out in the patio and have a beer while you wait on any one of their fabulous apps or entrees! The owner and his staff provided us and the diverse group of patrons with to tier service!

Just had Sunday lunch with the wife at Emmy Squared in Nulu and it was amazing! Reasonably priced and amazing on execution on both the food and service! Kiesence was an amazing server! Anticipated our needs, kept our water glasses full on this hot day! We had a half order of the cheese fries which was perfect for us to split and the Big Ang pizza, which was delicious! 5 STARS!

We stopped in Emmy’s for lunch after having a shopping day. We were seated immediately and had a great waitress. She was very knowledgeable over the menu and helped me decide what to order. I highly recommend the Zia fries, They were perfect for sharing and I couldn’t get enough of their house made ranch. 10/10 recommend!!!

After going on the Bourbon Tour, we headed over to Emmy Squared for some much needed pizza!! Atmosphere was exceptional, I suggest you sit on the patio. Favorites were the colony pizza (honey on pizza, it’s AMAZING), chicken crunchers, and the BiG MATT burger! I would def recommend this place again.

Came in on a busy Saturday night and sat at the bar. They were extremely understaffed but the bartender Shannon made sure I was taken care of even though she had a lot of tables to wait on . Had an old fashioned and the VIP pizza it was all great. Best crust I've ever had!

We rolled in with about 15-20 people on a Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch. They were very accommodating and the food was top notch! I will definitely return for the crunchy deep dish pizza. The buffalo wedge salad and sandwiches were also top notch. The reviews are spot-on for this place!

I never leave a review unless something is really good or really bad, but this was really good! I ordered the Emmy and I literally found myself saying "yum" and "mmm" between bites lol. I also ordered the gluten free crust and it tasted doughy (in a good way, meaning moist) and like actual real crust which I haven't found much of thus far in the gluten free pizza world. You can really sink your teeth into it and you can't even tell it's gluten free! Thanks!

Katie was SUCH a cool waitress! When I asked if the logo was meant to be Spongebob she laughed and I have to admit that me and my bf called this place “Spongebob pizza place” the whole weekend we were in town! The food is EXCEPTIONAL! And the service and entire vibe we really creative and such a cherry on top of the cool walk to get there. PLEASE do yourself a favor and get the Cauliflower or Brussel Sprouts!

Pizza is tasty, love the thick crust. But it’s overpriced and they’re skimpy with the toppings. The supreme pizza comes with sausage but the pieces of sausage are microscopic, and each piece of pizza had one single sliver of bell pepper. It was a little disappointing, But the outside courtyard area is great.

Okay I'll start with the positive: the pizza is good, the gluten free pizza is great. However, a few dollars overpriced. Service was horrible. If you're going to have gluten free offerings your staff should have knowledge of what all is and isn't gluten free. Asked our server if the waffle fries were gluten free. After her passing our table 3 times on the 4th she asked if everything was alright. I asked if she figured out whether the fries were gluten free. She clearly forgot and said "oh! I have your answer.... (LONG pause as I'm chewing a corner of a fry) and she says "they're not"....... She clearly forgot and came up with what she thought was the safest response. Needless to say that one bite would've destroyed me had it ACTUALLY contained gluten. So not only did the overpriced fries go cold waiting for an answer, by the time I had inspected enough and decided to take a bite out of pure hunger she ruined my appetite with her clear lack of care. Pizza was alright. Wish they would've cut it properly. This place isn't worth sitting in and wasting money. Just order carryout and save your time by avoiding horrible service.

We enjoyed everything about this place. The atmosphere has a cool vibe with great outdoor seating. The service was excellent. The food was superb. Three of us ordered cocktails which were delicious. We shared the roasted cauliflower appetizer, the Brussels sprouts salad and the kale salad. They were all delicious. The kale salad was slightly overdressed for us as we forgot to order dressing on the side. The server brought us extra kale to toss in and it was perfect. One pizza was enough with all the appetizers/salads we shared. The Detroit style pizza was amazing. The crust was perfect. We got the Margarita and loved it. Highly recommend!!!!

We ordered the Nashville hot chicken pizza and the garlic cheese sticks. The pizza crust was great, but this Nashville hot chicken pizza had ZERO heat. It was just a 4 corner pizza with fried chicken and pickles on it. My partner who is averse to anything spicy thought it was mild. We also had to wait 40 minutes for our food but right after we ordered someone walked out with like 50 pizzas so hard to count that against them. Looked like a large to go order was right before us. Garlic cheese sticks were a saving grace however!

Went to Emmy-Squared yesterday 18July2021 with my wife and oldest son. Outstanding! Had the Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza and the Deluxe Supreme(loved the mountain of mushrooms by the way). Good beer selection(several local choices), great service and awesome atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable experience. Their pizza was a total hit! We were hosting a small family party and had to feed our hungry guests. Emmy Squared was a nearby option and we were thrilled with the follow up. The manager took our large order on short notice and she hand delivered it hot and ready. They do square Detroit style pizza very well.

Pizza: 5/5 - it’s overpriced, but it’s the only place I can eat without having to opt for gluten-free bc of a folic acid allergy (= can’t have enriched flours). Service: has been 4/5 before, but today it was a 1/5. I just picked up a pizza. I was standing at the front hostess area. The only gal working was behind the bar and saw me, but she ignored me. I waited a couple minutes and then decided to walk over to the bar. I let her know I was there for a pickup order and provided the name. Without a word, she walked back (assuming she was getting the pizza). She came back with the pizzabox and handed it to me. I asked if I could get a bag. She said they didn’t have any for pizza. (Really Emmy?) I said that the last time I was provided with a bag since I’m walking down the street and don’t want the cold air to affect the pizza or to trip and drop the box. She grabbed a bag, handed it to me and watched as I attempted to fit it around the box. It tore a bit, but I finally got it in. I said, “Thanks!” and she did not respond. The last hostess gal was amazing. This lady seemed to be having a rough day. Maybe it was her best self in the moment. I would just say - Emmy, get bags large enough for boxes. We are paying a pretty penny for your pizza and don’t want to drop it all over town walking to our cars. Also, please be pleasant to customers. You don’t know what our days have looked like and you had an opportunity to at least be kind and helpful.

We loved our evening here. The cheese/garlic breadsticks seem unassuming in the menu description. Get them! They are delicious. I ordered another order before we even finished the first. We got the colony with gluten free crust and the deluxe pizzas. Both are very good, but definitely too expensive. We also got the eggplant Parm, which was *fantastic* and maybe justified the high price. Overall, hard to justify unless it's a special occasion when there are so many other, cheaper options that are just as good

It's tough for me to justify a 5-star rating for a pizza place...but this place earned every star! The eggplant parm was very good, although some extra cheese wouldn't have hurt. The pizzas were phenomenal, we got The Classic and The Quinn. The thing that made these pizzas so exceptional was the focaccia-like dough they use for their base, making for a delightfully light, yet still substantial pizza bottom

We got take out. The fries and margarita pizza were good. The prices are WAY to high in my opinion. The pizza was mostly bread but I would say it was enough for two people to spilt because we ordered fries as well. The fries were a small portion for the price. Overall I enjoyed the food but not sure it's worth the high price tag

My friend and I found this place on the whim. I have to say it's very nice establishment, but the pizza was just ok . We ordered pepperoni with pickled jalapeno peppers. I also ordered the brussel sprout salad which was pretty good. However , after ordering 4 drinks the pizza and brussel sprout salad the bill came close to hundred dollars. Since this establishment top seller is pizza I feel it didn't deliver for me. The pizza had absolutely no flavor..Three stars for customer satisfaction .

This is a thick crust, rich, pizza with crispy edges and superb toppings. The pizza alone is worth 5 stars, but add in the brussel sprout salad and the Sriracha boneless wings and this place is perfection. You won't be disappointed

Let me tell you, this place is incredible. I’ve been around the block and these pies are handmade, unique, and WONDERFUL. Crispy fluffy crust, immaculate ingredients and stupendous staff and service. They were closed for a training thing but they still invited us in for some pizzas, and they came out hot and fresh and crafted with love, the chef explained the pies and took the time to chat with us and our group, all in all a wonderful experience, in a great space, and we all can’t wait to go back soon. P.S. don’t sleep on the house-made ranch it’s delightful

Here to sing the praises of Emmy Squared! Ordered takeout, arrived on time, only to learn that something had apparently exploded in the oven and they had to start over with my fiancé's pizza! The staff kept me and others posted as to the situation with our respective orders, and made it right by giving us a special treat. The Le Burger pizza and my all-too-healthy turmeric roasted cauliflower were delicious as always and the grace under pressure of their staff puts much fancier places to shame. Go there!

Pizza is good, online ordering is super easy if you scan the QR code at the W Sixth pickup area… …but they forget the pickup process. There’s no way to get notified if your order is ready on your phone so you either have to keep walking back in there and checking or wait around the pickup cubbies and stand in people’s way.

GM Tony really goes out of his way to satisfy and meet the needs of his customers. Delicious pizza! If you order the margarita to go the cheese comes on the side due to how it melts when it warms up! Expect pizza orders to take about 30 minutes after placing an order. If you’re enjoying brews at west sixth next door they’ll foot deliver the pizza to you!

Amazing wings with some of the best side ranch style have ever had, incorporating mint and cilantro. Katie was a really nice server, and I would recommend anyone to stop by here. Pizza looked really good too!

The Primo Pepperoni pizza is in my top 5 after over 90 pizza reviews, and I don't usually care for Detroit style. My goodness. The crust is crispy, the sauce is great, and the Chili pepper concoction on top is so tasty, with a nice spice, I just love it.

I have just eaten the pizza of my dreams!!! We had the Angel with meatballs added to it. The amount of ricotta is to die for and the crispy crust along with the pillowy dough. Not to mention the fresh mushrooms and amazing amount of cheesy goodness. I have found my place!! If you haven’t tried this place, you are missing out. I do enjoy this place. The pizza that I ordered is beyond delicious. It was Colony pizza (pepperoni, Pickled jalapeños, and Caribbean chiles) My con for is that it is quite long waiting for food but sometime it is worth the waiting.

Amazing service always, but today was so special, our friends got married this past weekend and we went there as an after wedding lunch and they gave us 3 free pizzas on the house and such a personalized experience, as we came a bit before they even opened! So shocked and so very appreciated! Fabulous establishment!

My family was visiting today and we dined in for lunch after exploring NuLu. We ordered the eggplant parmesan, Zia waffle fries and garlic bread as appetizers and they all came out within 5-10 minutes. All the apps were fantastic, but the eggplant parm was my personal favorite. We had the colony^2 pizza as the entree and my sister said “this may be the best pizza I’ve ever had.” Great experience, fast service, delicious food. Glad to have great pizza in the ville.

We shared the Margarita Pizza. It was fabulous! Special tomatoe sauce on top of delicious crust that is fresh, soft in the center and a bit crisp on edges. The fresh basil and wonderful mozzarella on top made it even better. We are looking forward to Emy opening in Atlanta, our hometown.

We had Emmy Squared delivered through Uber Eats. I'm not gonna lie: my expectations were through the roof for this place. I have been tracking them ever since the first rumblings of entering Louisville in the Nulu Marketplace. Every city they have operated in has embraced them. Now it is our turn ya'll. My fiancee and I split the Big Matt and a Big Ang pizza and there is no going back. We were blown away by the flavor and quality. A place that excels in Pizza and Burgers? Bring it. Love that you are here finally Emmy Squared, and hope you stick around.

Had this place recommended by a few friends, so I had to try it out. Of course after all the wonderful comments about this place and the quality of food you have high expectations. And this place did not disappoint. 🤌All the way to my amazing waitress, her name was Hannah! She was so polite and friendly she always made sure we were happy and had whatever we needed. Her professionalism was top tier. Thank you Hannah, for all that you do. If you’re wondering if you should check this place out. We ordered the garlic cheese sticks and the MVP pizza and everything was pretty average. The garlic sticks were dry and tough to eat. The MVP pizza was a recommendation from our waiter and it was juicy and filled with sauce. Overall, 3/5. I wouldn’t go back again

Loved this pizza spot! And I don’t always rave about pizza outside of NYC. But this is the truth. I got the margherita pizza and loved it. The crunch, yet fluffiness of it. YUM! Sat at the bar and enjoyed the MVP pizza ($19) with a skinny margarita ($14). The pizza is Detroit style and came with 6 slices. I choose the MVP as a recommendation from the bartender. It was a good choice, although, most of their pizzas are good. The last time I tried the colony. I have to say, it is still my favorite! The restaurant was very casual and has outside seating. The outside seating is in the middle of a courtyard with West sixth brewing. Great place to enjoy on a nice day!
