Very big portions if you are hungry and want to even take out this could be the place. Welcoming and friendly staff, I have been to many Mexican restaurants but only here they greeted with “hola amigos” . 1 star less because didn’t like quesadilla and the sauce with chips as much. Otherwise it is good value for money restaurant. Enough parking.

We came here because there was a 30 minute wait up the interstate. We were immediately seated and drink orders taken within minutes. My wife ordered the Nopal Special with a Blue Hawaiian. I ordered the Burrito Supreme and a jumbo margarita, on special for $6.99. Chips were quickly brought to us and our food arrived shortly after. Everyone was very friendly and happy. The food was delicious and hot. We were checked on several times. About the time we were finishing up, the other place called to tell us our table was ready, 50 minutes later. We are so happy we chose El Nopal and will do so again, maybe even this weekend.

Had to drop in after a long hot day at work to refresh. Friendly staff and quick service! I had the Chori Pollo, a long time favorite with a side of refried beans. Chips and salsa were good as well. Based on my experience, I can definitely recommend this place!

Customer service was great. The margaritas were on point. But the food on the other hand was bland. It looked so delicious but no seasoning. Slightly disappointed but have had a lot worse.

Upon arrival I was properly greeted and directed to my waiting group. The food was hot. I suppose when ordering the taquitos I should have paid attention and not assumed that it would come with sour cream, tomatoes etc. I was in a hurry and decided to eat them dry. Next time I know to ask.

I had their lunch special quesadilla with spinach, mushroom, and cheese. It was very tasty but almost too much oil. The salsa they provided before the meal was the worst salsa I've every had. It was bland, thin, and no discernable ingredients other than tomato juice. I asked if they had anything different and that was it.

Always appreciate the good food here and the service is on point. Whether it is their Burrito El Carbon, Pollo con Arroz, or combination fajitas, you can't go wrong with their portions! Even their Special Nachos are hot and delicious! Queso forever!!

Quick reception and delivery of food. Rather large portions for the fajitas, especially with all the sides that come with it. However the flavor and quality of the meat were only okay, nothing exceptional.

We ordered yummy cheesey Tacos and Chicken fajita loaded on baked potato.it was a delicious meal. What I like about them is their serving is sufficient enuf to feed two or three people depends on how much a person eats. The staff is very welcoming and fast to deliver your order hospitable environment. And we always keep a little half portion for some home less guy. When we leave the place we find someone hungry too waiting to be fed. SO WHAT'S GOOD FOR ONE CAN BE GOOD FOR TWO !! RIGHT ?

Super, super friendly staff. they were nice to us when we butchered our spanish and understanding and friendly when we ordered in english lol. food was AMAZING especially for the price. we went in and got dip, drinks, two combo meals and it was only $30. chips and salsa came free, salsa was the bomb. the staff was super energetic and having fun in the back which i thought was great, bf said it made him feel at home :) i’ll say it again, la comida es PERFECTO, especialmente por el precio. do yourself a favor and eat here!!

Been here many times food was great food. Trouble with a female server treated us like garbage. Spoke to manager and he made her apologize she made us look like idiots. Had a quesadilla here and it was great. Steak had good flavor, wasn't greasy at all. A little guacamole would have been nice but it was still excellent. The place is roomy and clean. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Great restaurant.

The food is great. The service is outstanding. The value is excellent. And if you're lucky enough to go there on a Thursday evening when they feature Todd Bodenheimer doing his Elvis Tribute, you've hit the jackpot! You won't find a better dinner with a show in all of Louisville. I guarantee it.

Tasty authentic Mexican place. Music was a bit too loud to carry on a decent conversation. Waiter was friendly but could have been a bit more attentive. The restaurant was not that busy but we had to flag him down to get drink refills. He and another employee were over near the kitchen area just standing there talking. This could have been an aberration, not sure. This was our first time here in six years. Really good food. I would recommend.

FRIENDLY staff! Food is good. Ordered chicken nachos with white cheese and veggies. Forgot to snap a pic. But it was delicious and I had enough leftover for a meal the next day. Fairly reasonable prices. I would definitely go again next time I’m in the area.

Wonderful atmosphere, quiet and relaxing at 2:45 for a late lunch. Salsa was amazing, and food was incredible! Staff was polite and helpful. We will be able to have quite a few leftover meals from this as well. Highly recommended.

I've been to a few El Nopal. This one's the best of them. They always have good food and service. It's near work so a bunch of us go there for birthday lunches because they're fast and everyone can find something they like.

Ordered a burrito that came with rice on the side and in the burrito and we told them we didnt want the side rice well they took it off of the burrito also and took all other ingredients besides the beef. On top of that it cost 35$ bucks. Disappointed.

Food is good, however the salsa and dip chips prior to the meal is not up to par. The server provided plenty of chips for the table of 8, but after the initial containers of hot and mild salsa was placed on the table (4), no more? Maybe they charge extra for additional containers like another El Nopal I know of. Server kept bringing back bowls of chips, but no salsa. Never said anything about maybe an extra charge? Wasted chips was abundant.

One of the best dinning experiences I’ve had in a very long time. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted and given a booth. Not 30 seconds after that my server greeted me with a smile and got my drink for me and took my order. Before I could over indulge on the chips and salsa my food was delivered to my table not 5 minutes after ordering. Will highly recommend this El Nopal to all of my friends and family.

The food and service at this location is great. This location definitely gets busy during lunch hours but the staff can handle it well. Music can be a bit loud at times when trying to have conversations. If you are near and craving Mexican, this would be a great place.

I've been to this El Nopal twice. While they did change my food to request I also found a long strip of plastic in my food. I'm assuming from a vegetable bag. Both stalls in the women's restroom also had issues, one with no working lock and the other clogged. Overall it was fine, everyone else in my group got their food without trouble. I don't expect much from chain restaurants, but it was slightly less pleasant than most El Nopals.

Every time I visit El Nopal I get the exact same thing but I am always charged different prices. Their prices in my opinion are high compared to other Mexican restaurants. I can go to Senior Iguanas and get a beef burrito with queso for about $5. It's roughly $8 or $9 at El Nopal (not including rice and beans). I asked the host today why their prices are different at each location and she said the owner basically has different prices and promotions at each location. Didn't make much sense because they aren't individually owned but....ok...

Enjoy dinning at the El Nepal on Fern Valley and New Cut Rd. Great Margaritas. Last time our order got messed up because our waiter didn't quit understand English, but they went out of their way to make it right. Dinning area was clean. The one on Fern Valley really needs to remodel the woman's restroom. The tiles we actually taped to the walls with duck tape.
