We came to Louisville to see the "Lights under Louisville" and stopped here for dinner while visiting. It's a cool building with a great atmosphere. The food was great and the service was even better! We had an awesome waitress that made our experience even better!

What a hidden jewel! New York style pizza that is hot, fresh, and loaded with toppings. Great bar with signatute cocktails and drinks. You can also order pizza by the slice.

This place is awesome. We rented the upstairs room for my 50th birthday party. What a nice intimate space. Perfect for around 25 to 35 people. The pizza and garlic balls were amazing. Had some boneless wings that seemed like they were pre made and frozen. But the service was top notch. And we will be back for sure.

My husband and I are in Louisville from Philadelphia for one night en route to see family. Hands down one of the best places we found — there was a private party for 50 happening plus poker plus trivia but you would never know with the level of attention we got (plus all the laughter with our server). Add in absolutely incredible food and drinks and this was perfection.

Stopped here on a visit to Louisville. Everything was fantastic. The d fried bread balls were insane! The Margherita pizza was perfect. And the atmosphere was classic old Louisville. We will definitely itely be back.

Pizza and Pub who's menu offers pizza (super-sized slices), sandwiches, chicken wings and salads as well as a full bar with a nice selection of beer. The hand-tossed, New York Style Pizza dough is made fresh daily with homemade mozzarella and fresh vegetables. Hand-rolling and slow proofing the dough creats a perfectly crispy crust. The pizza is available by the Whole Pie or Slice (huge).

Great pizza and service. Their crust is perfect for my tastes and they are not stingy with the toppings. My favorite is the Gibbon. The meatballs with fries raviolis and the lasagna are also family favorites. They have a good lunch specials on weekdays.

DiOrio's Pizza & Pub is by far one of my favorite Pizza places. I was doing deliveries through Postmates one day and picked up an order from there. It smelled so good and the employees seemed very nice so I wanted to go back and check it out for myself. When I did I was not disappointed. I have been there several times now and everything I have tried has been delicious. The service is some of the friendliest and its just a nice environment. I highly recommend you check it out if you haven't. The have a wide variety of options available, the prices may look high at first glance but I promise you, the quality of the food and the size makes it more than worth the money. I can put away some food and I can barely eat two slices. Side note, if you like Buffalo chicken pizza, there's is amazing! If you get it ask them to top it with "Crack." It's special off menu mix of parm and spices that compliments it wonderfully!

DiOrios is situated in an historic building in downtown (I think) Louisville. Their food is absolutely fantastic. They had karaoke the night we were there. They have a full compliment of drinks and a great selection of beers including local craft beers.

DiOrio's hosted a private outdoor gathering to support the 2022 St. Patrick's Day Parade. Staff and food were fantastic! Made for a wonderful celebration for all involved. Would definitely encourage any group exploring a host site for their next event to reach out to Diorios. The patio is a great venue indeed!

There is not enough good to say about this hidden gem. The atmosphere is unbeatable, the staff is AMAZING and the owners are phenomenal. Whether you're looking for just a slice, or a beer and HOMEMADE LASAGNA, this is the place to go. Don't sleep on this place. Martha cooks the lasagna with something no other place can touch, LOVE. You can taste the care she puts in every bite. As if that's not enough to sell you, they have that homemade ranch. (If you know, you know.)

We came on trivia night! It was so much fun. I’ve never been to a trivia night here and the questions were awesome. The pizza is phenomenal, as always. Our server, Daniel, was attentive and gave excellent service. Our food came quickly and Daniel checked on us intermittently to make sure we were okay. Highly recommend this place and our server!

Great pizza, great service. Thin crust, thick topping, got the piggy (all pork),excellent taste. We got the D balls and they were ok, but they tasted like we got old ones that they microwaved. Hard and stale. The sweet tea is SUPER sweet. Too much for my liking, and I like SWEET tea. Overall really great pizza and service. Just not impressed by some of the other items.

The service was friendly, and I never felt ignored. However, the pizza was put in 10 minutes late after I ordered. Once our server explained why, I had no time to be frustrated. Four poor souls behind us were attempting the Massive Gibbon Challenge and our server was the timekeeper. This is a 15-pound pizza that must be eaten in 40 minutes by a minimum and maximum of four people. Winners get the pizza free, a $100 gift card, and bragging rights. We were in for a show. And we got one. Dough heavy and no meat from the hog being spared, the pizza was delivered on its own table. With much cheering from the restaurant crowd, the four moved into the pie. They started strong as each got his first piece down. As they sat down to the second piece, the doubt crept into the room. They started to exchange knowing and worried looks at each other. The chewing slowed drastically and became more deliberate. A third of the way into the second piece the two larger guys faded. But the thinner one rallied. He stood up, turned his baseball cap backwards and, like a boxer, shook his head from side to side while performing a small, in-place dance. He sat back down and finished his second piece. All to the cheers of the crowd. Too little too late, however. Forty minutes passed and there was still well over half left. Still, they were hailed as heroes for even trying. And the whole restaurant let them know. It was excellent to watch. And as they boxed everything up and turned to leave, I was left wondering how long the leftovers would last and how many tums they would need to feel right. At any rate, during this time I had forgotten we had even ordered pizza and was surprised when it came. The pizza was just OK. I cannot blame DiOrio’s for this. I decided to try something new and ordered the pepperoni and artichoke heart pizza. Not a fan. Sorry all you artichokes lovers. Being a Friday night there was also a DJ/singer. We heard songs from the 80’s – 2010 with no genre structure at all. The crowd loved it and we heard selections like “Moves like Jagger” followed by “Chicken Fried". With the centerpiece of the Gibbon Challenge, it seemed weird yet appropriate. I will be back.

I already knew this restaurant had amazing food (personally love their thin n crispy pizz and ravioli as well as their sweet marinara sauce) but today was blown away by their exemplary customer service. Specifically, a Shift Manager named "Sea" problem-solved a creative solution to getting my yummy food delivered. Because I couldn't in touch with my local Diorios, she personally called managers and owners before ultimately delivering it herself. Very polite, professional, and kind interaction with Sea.This restaurant prides itself in GREAT food and amazing customer care.

Amazing service pretty good food. The cheese bread was delicious, but the sauce had a weird flavor. Little pricey as well but we enjoyed it overall. Probably just try a different pizza next time we go. Another small thing was the menu said 4.50 for a slice of cheese pizza, but we were charged 4.99 on the receipt. I didnt catch it until after we paid.

We had my daughter's graduation dinner here & the experience was lovely. Tavern decor with a family feel & room for large groups. Good for all ages. We had a help yourself buffet of pop, pizza & salad but were able to make individual orders for alcoholic beverages & dessert. The food was excellent & the service was spectacular! The prices were reasonable & it was easy to lose track of time amidst all the good vibes. Good pizza, drinks & music with an accommodating staff & a friendly atmosphere!

A great time with family catching up and a wonderful tasty meal. Daniel was our server and he made sure our large party had everything we needed. We shared the “fried balls” appetizer with the table. The large serving was huge and served with very flavorful marina sauce. My piece of pizza that was more than I could finish. It was made just as ordered and very tasty, pepperoni and green olive combo. Everyone at the table was pleased with our choices. Thank you Daniel for the great service. We will be back!!

This place is a MUST have! When the location on Wallace called and refused my online order because they were closing early, I got in touch with these guys at Baxter and they were more than happy to help. I ordered The Gibbon pizza, 10 Wings, and a DiHogio hoagie. It was about 9:15 and they close at 10. Sorry about that, but they didn't mind. Food arrived a few minutes before 10 and all of it was AMAZING! The hoagie could have been piled a little more with the 'garden' stuff, but was still delicious. They made our night as we were were a family of four staying in a hotel. I left the driver a fat tip, and their food did the same for us. Great job at what you are doing and keep it up. If anyone I know is visiting Louisville, I'll def send them your way! Thanks!

Service was good, so we go there often and have ordered the PIGGY. Today's piggy was a pie with Pepperoni and sausage.. Not impressed and thoroughly disappointed. No manager and the server east apologetic. Not the servers fault the pizza was lacking in ingredients. So disappointing. I guess we'll try the st. Matthews location.

I am only leaving 4 stars and not 5 due to the timeliness of service. The food and atmosphere were great! I have not tried all the pizza places in Louisville, but I was pleased with the quality and taste of their pizza. They were not prepared for the UK game and were short staffed. This caused massive delays in drink and food orders. We had to wait a while to be served. Good thing, we were there for the game so it was not a big deal. Any other time, we might of had an issue. They did compensate us for the waiting time. The staff was friendly and they did their best. I would recommend if you are looking for a casual place for a beverage and pizza.

The lasagna was everything people said it would be. The pizza was surprisingly good with a crunchy crust, perfectly spiced sauce, and a decent variety of toppings. The salad was a swing and a miss, but it might have just been a one-off, as others at my table enjoyed theirs. Finally they have a deep-fried dough dessert ball thing that swam in a sweet butter bath and was probably so bad for me, but I couldn't stop eating them! Bonus: Thursday night trivia was insanely fun!

Love the place, very relaxed environment. The pizza was good and came out super fast. Our waiter Daniel was the absolute best. If anyone goes and eats there ask for him he’s very pleasant to talk to. The only thing was the beer, it was a little more than I would of spent on it but still worth it.

I got a house salad with ranch and a pepperoni pizza. The salad and dressing were so tasty. They put, what tastes like, home made bacon bits and they are extra crispy which is just the way I like it. The lettuce was fresh and the combo of the bacon bits and ranch was delicious. The pizza was good too but the salad is what sticks out. Atmosphere was good. Will definitely come back.

This place is amazing! The food and service is incredible. You can order a whole pizza at the typical sizes or just a giant slice of gourmet pizza. I have yet to have anything bad here. Every I've eaten here with has had a wonderful experience. The wait staff is always helpful and friendly, making the whole experience fantastic!!

The food was really really good. The ranch for the salad was super thick like mayonnaise though and didn't smell or taste right. The lasagna was fantastic!! The service did kind of suck. Our waitress would disappear leaving our drinks empty almost the whole time we were there. She also charged us extra for the salad even though it's supposed to come with the lasagna meal. Her name was Kailey I believe so don't get her as a waitress if you want your drinks topped off regularly.

DiOrio's is hands down my favorite pizza joint. And my favorite bar. I've been a regular here for a couple years and I always feel welcomed. The staff is very friendly and down to earth. Food is always hot and fresh. Serving sizes are big so you get a good bang for your buck. Nice selection of beers and liquors. Nothing but love for yall.

Everything that I've had from here has been super delicious... EVERYTHING!!! I've had pizza, wings, salad (which is HUGE... The small is big enough to split with someone else), the cheese fries (which I usually don't even eat/like but a friend ordered them and I couldn't stop eating them), Cinnamon delights... EVERYTHING has been good. And the prices are not bad at all.

Great friendly service! The pizza is ridiculously delicious with different specialty pizzas to choose from. There is also pizza by the slice that can compete with any corner pizza joint in New York City. Last but not least, for me, the bar has a great selection of bourbon, whiskey, and scotch. There are also great mixed drinks and draft beers to match your tastes. Try the seasonal beer! I have been here twice and this place will be a regular for me.

Incredible service. I went with my jazz ensemble, and we are no easy group to serve. I ended up pulling a pizza completely off the rack, and the speed at which it was replaced was incredible. The cinnamon delight things with the cream in the middle are out of this world, if you're looking to indulge in a dessert.

Pizza was good. Crust was excellent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered pizza by the slice. Huge slice for 8.99 and it didn't matter which type of slice you wanted. One slice and I was done. Nice cozy atmosphere. Good for family or a date.

Being derby time, you would figure all hands on deck. But the place was short staffed for a second year in a row. Went as part of a group, orders were slow and some cases were wrong. Tater tots were good but the pizza was sub par. Grabbed a slice and the toppings fell off. Plus it looked like I had the wrong pizza myself, but didn't take it back for how long it took to get orders in the first place. May have to go back on a non busy day. Had better pizza at other places

I was part of a private party last night for a birthday party for my teen grandson. His Mom and Dad reserved one of the private party rooms on the upper level at the Baxter Ave, site. I cannot say enough good things about this event. The party was a big success and about twenty five teens attended . Daniel the party manager was SO accommodating. The pizza was excellent and he was always available to serve the teens. D’Orios went above and beyond to be flexible and accommodating and so easy to work with.

Great service and atmosphere! If you have less than ten people in a party, you do not want to order any pizza 20"+. These slices are HUGE, and Ssooooo good! The two of us that went now have ALL BUT 2½ slices left to eat for the next week! One slice is a meal! Not complaining!!!

We booked the upstairs room for a teen birthday party. The space is really cool for kids to just hang out and have fun. DiOrios has a super relaxed atmosphere and we were able to get there early to decorate the space. For the party, we had a buffet of salad, 3 kinds of pizza, bread sticks, etc. Our waiter, Daniel, was fantastic! He was cheerful and very helpful throughout the 4 hour party. Us adults grabbed a table downstairs and enjoyed our own delicious pizzas. The food was high quality and delicious. DiOrios has many different pizza flavor options, and the Fried Balls are so tasty!

We went to this place for lunch and we were only people there for good 40 minutes. I had a veggie calzone, which was just okay. Marinara sauce did not taste fresh but more out of jar. Great outdoor seating and my friend tells me they have game nights that bring a lot of ppl to the joint. So atmosphere and drinks might be their main focus, food, well not so much.

Have been here several times and ordered the This Little Piggy pizza for lunch with a group & think it is one of the best "house" pizzas I have ever ordered. This place has become my favorite pizza place in Louisville. We heard about it through a friend and went for my birthday. The original Bardstown location is super cool and stylish and the food is phenomenal. The prices aren't bad either. Slices of pizza are huge and one can fill someone up. There are no gluten free appetizers, except salad,and no gluten free desserts. However,their gluten free pesto vegetarian + garlic,and small spinach salad are incredible. This is perhaps one of the best late-night options in the highlands, however, some of the ingredients on the pizza seem to be of questionable quality. I ordered the Cordon Bleu pizza and the chicken had an 'off' texture and flavor and so did the ham. Additionally, I felt that there was too much cheese on the pizza, causing all of the toppings to slide off and there was no cheese seal around the crust of the pizza, which didn't help keep the toppings on either. The delivery driver was super-friendly though and it felt like the pizza was made with special care- I've always found the service to be excellent and Diorio's kicks Spinelli's and Wick's Pizza in the mud.

Ice cold. We rented the party room, and given it was one of the coldest days yet, when you charge 50 bucks to rent a room it should be heated. We had to wear out coats to a birthday party. The one server that was assigned to the party was excellent, and the pizza was fresh and good. We saw no management the entire time and when you have older guests a cold room is a big deal. The area is not particularly accessible to the disabled. If you want a friendlier experience, I would check the St. Matthews location.

Today we had a killer waitress who makes the best cherry cokes. Tassie is amazing and very attentive. We ordered the Sandra’s Cheddar Shots and those were right up there with the Ds Balls for sure. Lasagna and side salad killed it. Then we ordered a 15” sausage pepperoni hand tossed so we could share and have leftovers. Man that crust is so AMAZING I even ate it all which I rarely do. They're always open till 4am which is super convenient. The dough balls (appetizer) with marinara are too good and the small order of them is actually the size of a large! The lasagna is the best. It's really my go-to option for food there. I've had the pizza and that is quite tasty and reasonably priced for the portion. The service is usually a 10/10. So I highly recommend checking out DiOrio's if you're looking for a good place to grab a bite to eat or even play Trivia. My friends and I play trivia here pretty frequently and always have a good time. Whether you've got a team of 6 or a team of one, there's no doubting the amount of fun you'll have here. While you're waiting around to play trivia, try the D'Oreos- they are heavenly. Or if that's a little costly for you, the D'lightfuls do just as much justice for a larger crowd. My personal fave sweet treat are the D'Oreos but you can't go wrong either way.

I really enjoy DiOrio's Pizza, they've got a nice selection of pizza and calzones, as well as beers and ciders. They probably have more ciders then other restaurants. Today I enjoyed the mouth watering Cordon Bleu Pizza and the fried macaroni and cheese bites! Also, because it was so incredibly hot outside a nice cold cider helped to cool me down! Pop in for pizza, pasta, bread sticks and bites for a game or a nice family meal. You won't be disappointed!

DiOrio's might be a good place to go for happy hours or event nights. I wouldn't know. What I do know is that the food isn't good enough to bring me back to find out. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but when the kitchen forgets cheese on a Philly cheesesteak, you're not filled with confidence. Cheese pizza by the slice was a good deal, but would still only be worth it if you were drunk enough to enjoy it.

Pizza and calzones are excellent BUT the Baxter location is the worst place in Louisville to order a pizza for delivery. They should quit offering delivery as an option. I ordered a few weeks ago and it took over 1-1/2 hours for the pizza to arrive. Tonight, it was the same thing, 1-3/4 hours after ordering. I was told that they had no idea what orders the kitchen did or did not fulfill. Extremely disappointing, because we really like the food.

Delivery Order :) Calzones are really good ( No ricotta in, so typical East Coast Stromboli, really) and of good size (fills Standard Dinner Plate). Pizza is good, but a bit greasy due to toppings being -under- the cheese. As a result, the crust soaks up much of the grease and becomes a bit floppy. Still quite tasty though :) Definitely better than chain pizza, slightly pricy on the pizza but the Calzones are priced well :) All in all, I'd recommend giving them a shot :)

The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable about celiac disease, and their food is unbelievably great! The crust, the gluten free crust no less, is the right blend of chewy and crunchy, and the toppings and cheese are done to perfection. This is the best pizza place I've found in Louisville for celiacs!! :-)

I came down to bardstown to experience what loiusiville had to offer in terms of bars, food and entertainment and Diorio’s nailed it out of the park. The wait staff was friendly and informational and the atomosphere was like an old school pub mixed with a millennial American Pizza house! My brother, who lives in Louisville, accompanied me here and wow he was impressed too! We ordered the 20’ Pesto pepperoni with an order of the “D-balls”(basically bite sized deep-fried breadstick) the pizza was tremendous, the spice was perfect, the pesto really came out. Theonly downside is it was incredibly greesey but I’m really okay with that from a pizza. The D-balls were the star of the show though, honestly. The two of us could only down two slices and finished off the d-balls, so we left with half a pizza and a food coma!

I had the 10" Gibbon with hand tossed crust. The crust had a very nice flavor, the vegetables tasted very fresh and flavorful, and the meat was abundant. The only thing that I would change is a little less onion. They have a nice assortment of beers, bourbons and other liquors. At least on the night I was there, the pub had a comfortable, laid back atmosphere. Kaitlyn was a great server, making my dining experience even more pleasurable. I think next time I'll try the lasagne.
