I've not been here for many years but it's still the really nice place I remember. Very nice, friendly, attentive staff. Great menu with a lot of great dishes. Great food. Great ambiance both inside and outside. Good valet parking to handle the volume of cars. Great location near Universal City. Looking forward coming back to LA and eating here again.

Hearty and yummy. The bread and olive oil dip that came with dining in was tasty. I think I had one too many and by the time I got to my pasta, I was too full. The calamari/seafood appetizer was good but could honestly pass on it. My seafood pasta was tasty and very hearty. Just come hungry.

Food was absolutely top notch. Everything we had was excellent, fresh and very well prepared. Would 100% come back to try the other dishes. Service was abysmal. We were three guys, just finished a job at Universal and walked over for dinner. Maybe it was the fact that we weren't gussied up but were wearing out work clothes, the wait staff was uninterested in serving our table, or requests for water or bread were passed around from server to server. Short of throwing things on the table and walking away, they were quite condescending, perhaps not expecting a tip, based on our appearances. it was quite a disappointing. I still tipped 20% and I'm still annoyed that I did that. Other than that, I would still come back to try some of the other dishes. My friend chose this place and I'm glad he did! Dishes are very complex in flavor and texture. The gnocchi are more of the "heartier" variety and drenched in pesto. One of the first Italian places where I didn't have to add salt to my food. It is a bit pricey so make sure to savour each bite!

The best carpaccio ever. Squit ink linguini is great too. Would come back to this restaurant just to try these again. The short rib ravioli was good, but wasn't special. Probably because other foods were so good. Bread was just so so.

I came here with the family. Service was kind of annoying because the server would forget items and I’d had to flag somebody to bring something. I can only knock a star for that because the ambiance outside is really nice and the food hit the spot. Octopus from the appetizers was my favorite. Ossobuco as the main was also good.

This was my first time at Ca Del Sol. They have valet parking for less than 10 dollars. love the way the space is divided. There are several sections making is feel very intimate. I recommend making reservations because it gets packed. The food was ok, but I loved the service and the atmosphere. I definitely felt like I was home eating. Very relaxed and cozy. Shout out to Henry. He was great. Loved his suggestions and personality. He made the experience for me. The rest of the staff is very attentive and also very sweet. I love this personally. It was quite cold, so I didn't get to experience sitting outside. Their desserts are all made in house. I would definitely recommend and when I'm back, I will visit.

I’ve lived in the Valley, off and on, for over 15 years and this was my first time here. I’ll definitely be going back. The food was outstanding. There were four of us and we were all very happy with our meals. Good cocktails and delicious desserts, too. Highly recommend.

You've driven by this place before, so why not go in sometime, will ya! Really great food and service. ...a little too good? When inside this dark, windowless trattoria I can't wonder, what are you hiding? Is this place of sustenances of the mediterranean only a coverup for more dubious work of the mafioso? Did I hear the table next to just say "get rid of them" or were they only talking about their empty dishes? OMG the dishes! I see it now, just as this eye-shaped platter sees me! They are always watching. The conundrum is that if I didn't finish my meal would these optic salvers be able to see anything and that by cleaning my plate have I started in motion a domino affect of my own demise and stuck in the service of this sicilian faction forever? If you don't hear from me, check the LA river next door. It's not deep at all, so even if I have cement shoes, at least I won't drown.

This place is really a hidden gem. Italian at it's finest. From the moment you walk in to the complete service and presentation it was impeccable. My boyfriend took me for a special date and everyone made us feel so special. The Chef came up to us and every table that had ordered to personally make sure all was as expected and if not how he could make it better. The portions and ingredients of every dish were chefs kiss. The Tiramisu and exclusive wine available here are to die for. This is my new favorite Italian restaurant. You need to try!

Fine Italian cuisine! The combinations are endless and they’re all delicious. Pasta and apps are so great. I strongly recommend going with a large party and sharing a few selections with the table. Can’t go wrong with steaks or seafood - all are mouth watering and extremely satisfying.

Ca Del Sole is the perfect spot for a relaxing brunch with delicious food. We were lucky enough to get a cabana, but whether or not you have a cabana, the environment is so calming and relaxing. Along with the fantastic ambiance, the food is absolutely phenomenal. Brunch, lunch, drinks, it doesn't matter, it's all amazing. Bellinis and Mimosas are a yummy addition to a Sunday Brunch. The Mezzalune is absolutely one of the most delicious pasta dishes and had a lovely pumpkin filling that is so perfectly satisfying. The French Toast with berries was also very tasty and the berries were fresh and sweet. I would absolutely recommend Ca Del Sole to someone looking for a nice relaxing brunch or lunch spot.

I liked the atmosphere here. An old converted house. Pretty cozy. The service was fine but the food was just ok. I had octopus, cioppino, and panna cotta. The octopus was a tad over cooked and barely warm when served. The Cioppino was excellent. My wife had scallops which were just ok, a little on the bland side. The lobster spaghetti was tasty but the lobster a bit overcooked. We had cocktails as well. The cucumber martini was excellent, the old fashioned was pretty good. All in all I would not frequent this restaurant but I would try it again and check out other items on the menu

Consistently good food here. Usually eat in the bar area and have their squid ink pasta. The bruschetta is amazing, as is the arrabiata. Don’t leave out the sangria either!

On August 14th, I hosted a Transformers 35th Anniversary Dinner at Ca Del Sole with close to 20 attendees. I was planning it from Pennsylvania. Sherri, the Event Manager, was absolutely amazing when it came to helping plan the menu and seating. The place settings and arrangements were gorgeous and the three course meal was delicious. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Ca Del Sole was extremely accommodating and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is planning a dinner event.

Excellent food and expertise all around. We say outside on the patio. No blaring music, and the lighting was dim (had to use phone flashlight to read the menu). The food was amazing. We ordered 5 appetizers - all good (you better like seafood as most items included some sea creature). I had the beat salad, which was delicious. Everyone really enjoyed their selections, from the fish to various pasta dishes. I'd probably rate it a 4.5 just because there is always room for improvement, but overall this is a solid place to go for great food and a nice ambiance.

Great Studio City location for a business dinner. Since this an Italian restaurant, the pasta is fantastic. The wait staff is friendly and efficient and the waiter was very helpful with selecting some wine. My only gripe is the parking situation- with their parking lot why is it necessary to valet your car?

I would love to recommend Ca del Sole, but small issues throughout the night added up to an overall mediocre experience. First off, I'll preface with the food was good, I have no complaints with our meal. We ordered the tuna tartar for an appetizer and we had the ossobuco and tortellini special for our entrées. Everything tasted good and was prepared well, with a small exception for the risotto (over cooked and too much cheese) but thats being very nitpicky. The biggest disappointment we had was with the service. I'd tell you our server's name, but he never introduced himself. Everything was a business transaction to him. From our drinks to dessert, there was hardly any interaction beyond the getting the necessary information for our order. We honestly had more attention from the bussing staff. When it came time for the check, he never said a word, just dropped the check and left. Then when we paid, he never acknowledged we paid or even said thank you. We came out for our anniversary and the price point here certainly warrants a special occasion kind of venue, however the service reflects a more casual dining experience. And even though I made note in our reservation that it was our anniversary, no one on the staff ever acknowledged it, which kind of defeats the point of soliciting that information from me during the reservation process. Overall, underwhelming for the price point and wouldn't go back unless the prices match a more casual experience that the service reflects.

This is a must. Tucked in the corner, this unique Italian restaurant offers quality and authentic food. Great customer service from the moment you arrive. They offer wonderful outdoor seating options and indoor. Appetizers and dessert are amazing, but the main dishes are extra special.

Such a charming place. Outdoor service. We had our own cabana. The menu is extensive and everything looks delicious. Bread is so important. Theirs is crusty o. The outside and soft on the inside. With a olive oil and sliced olive dip. So good. Three if us had different pastas. One had, essentially poke, and a side salad. Everything was delicious. Service terrific. The roasted beets and avocado salad was pretty underwhelming and not seasoned enough, wouldn't get again. Bruscheta was ok and angel hair pasta was great but so long, not sure why it didn't get broken up. Again, just being nit picky and overall this is a great spot to check out!

I've heard rave reviews from LA locals, but it doesn't live up to the hype. It isn't bad, but it isn't good either. At a slightly higher price point, you can find better food or better atmosphere for the same price or less at nearby establishments. The inside is dimly lit and earthy, but it doesn't feel all that clean. I know there's a patio type area but I haven't checked it out. I haven't had a good server yet; they always seem new or disinterested. A manager came to our table once and they were really nice and attentive, but that attitude has to be collective. On a positive note, there's a parking lot and the restaurant is out of the way so it's pretty accessible.

Nice atmosphere. But the food is just a bit out of date. I love traditional Italian food. My grandmother, who was from Brindisi, taught me some amazing things. This isn't traditional either, though This place just feels a bit like they dont have any competition. Don't mean to be overly critical. The staff was incredible and the food was just fine. I just think they could do better with little effort. Check it out and see what you think.

Another thing I had dinner in the cabana beautiful there was hair in my food informed the waitress showed her when she walked out that should if been it & replaced All lives matter instead she went to the cook came back said he didn't see it showed her on the shrimp which this was all ridiculous showed her she took it back said he still didn't see it even though she clearly did "Please tell me what Restaurant does this to Anyone" guess what we have been going to this Italian Restaurant for Many Many Years it's my last time. The waitress bright it back again we picked the piece of shrimp up gave it to her & that was it for us they lost a great customer unfortunately.

OMG, the homemade short rib ravioli, spinach, ricotta cheese, clarify butter, parmesan cheese (I had to copy and paste that to get it right) is to DIE for!! That with a really good red, mmmmmH! I should have taken a picture of it but I didn't know I would like it that much, I will try and stop long enough to take a pic of it next time! Oh, I forgot to mention that this place has one of the largest outdoor (and one of the prettiest) dining areas in LA!

By far the best happy hour food and drink menu. The rigatoni is homemade and the meatballs are beyond delicious I have been here several times and have always had a great experience. We went here for a friend's birthday and ate so much just off the happy hour menu. Every single dish with prepared beautifully and tasted fantastic. The portions and the quality of the food are equivalent to a five star restaurant. The parking is extremely convenient. They offer valet and there are always lots of street parking. I went to a wedding once at this place and the catering was superb. This is one of the few places that I like to frequent as much as possible

Had a business lunch here and had the lasagna, it was good but had some better at some mom and pop spots. However, the help is friendly and attentive. You will spend an average of 27-35 dollars per person. Overall a good place and will be back for a date with my wife.

Great food and drinks. The happy hour menu needs to be updated properly. We had one guest eat from a plate that had shrimp on it and it does not state on this happy hour menu that shrimp is in the dish. If he had eaten it There could have easily been a lawsuit. Management took the dish off our bill however, I feel they could have covered the entire bill with how this could have turned out if it wasn't noticed in time. They get 5 stars because the food is pretty Great! I must say service is good but could be better.

Business lunches here are great. The service is fast and attentive. Valet parking is available, but it can get backed up when leaving if there's a lot of people leaving at the same time. There are a few on street parking with meters if you do not choose the valet. Food is delicious, plenty of seating, and the bread is delicious! Everything I've ordered so far has been delicious!

Can’t fault the service and staff. Super friendly and helpful but feel let down from our experience after getting our hopes up from reading all of the great reviews. Starter was ok. The bread was a bit hard/chewy but the mozzarella was fantastic. Ham was really dry. Gnocchi main was really good and the fish dish was really good too. The atmosphere was loud as there were a lot of families and kids were running around, screaming. This was a let down on the whole considering the price we paid as it really feels like it really wants to be an upscale restaurant.

Second time visiting and the food had been very good. I had the pasta with lamb and the pasta tastes freshly made and the lamb was tender and seasoned well. The ambiance is good, the staff is wonderful, nice, polite and attentive. It's good for dates and for dinner with friends.

Incredible experience here. Very comfortable patio seating. Very easy to forget you are in Los Angeles and for at least a brief time be transported to Tuscany. Extensive wine list accompanied by very authentic Italian dishes. The gnocchi was to die for. Very attentive staff. Super close to universal studios hotels, highly highly recommended.

I can’t comment on the food because I’ve only been here for special events and had drinks. They have a great outside area if hosting a large party. The drinks can be pricey depending on what you order but they do have really good happy hour specials during the week from 5pm-10pm. Food is also on their happy hour menu. Once again, never had their food but the people that I was with enjoyed what they ate. It is a little more upscale, the staff is fine, and the bar area is small but cozy and in a separate room from the dining area. They’ve always had a valet parking attendant when I have gone. If you work at Universal, you can easily walk there for lunch or after work for drinks.

Service was very good. Salad was a little small, tasty though not a lot of variety in terms of ingredients. Salmon perfectly cooked in a nice sauce. Chocolate cake rich, nice, a little too large for one person. Could have used some fruit/ berries on the side.

This restaurant is fairly easy to find off of kahanga Boulevard. Valet parking is essential. It has both side and outside seating. My group said outside under an umbrella with a lot of shade it was delightful. There were excellent choices, with excellent specials. I had a risotto with seafood that was wonderful. I also had some asparagus soup to start which was delicious. Service was excellent, and dessert was wonderful a panna cotta with fresh strawberries

I absolutely enjoyed this place. Parking area is a bit small and it's only valete. My favorite part about this location is that you can get seated on the outside patio that is very well decorated with candles and low light ambience. There are tables/booths that have a canopy over them togie you shade or cover. Staff is always very attentive and constantly checking with you to see if you need more water, a refill of your drink or anything in general at one point during our meal the GM came out to great us and check how our experience has been. Food is very high quality and prepared with a wonderful presentation, I ordered the fish and pasta, I can't remember the exact name but I sure know that it was delicious. Over all this is a very nice high quality place where you can enjoy a great service along with great food. I have to check out the brunch that I see others have commented about on their reviews.

We had the lamb ragout it was yum and the seafood cioppino with bread it was good and the portions are good, two people can shaare. On Easter, we had brunch together with friends at Ca Del Sole. The food, service, and atmosphere could not have been better and really fit this special occasion. The scallops with truffle sauce was probably the best version of this seafood that we ever had, and the calamari salad, bronzino fish and seafood spaghetti also received high praise from our guests. The desserts, panna cotta and a divine chocolate cake, provided a perfect ending to a lovely meal. We are looking forward to our next visit to this very hospitable restaurant.

They offer mimosas and bellinis for sunday brunch and have a great weekday happy hour selection.
