I appreciated the freshness of the food here. We ordered Veggie plate with hummus, baba ganoush, parsley salad with pita bread, roasted garlic veggie pizza, and Syrian salad. Everything was good. I just wish they had baklava as well, that they didn’t. The food is very reasonable prices as well.

The hubby and I love Layla's! The food is fantastic! We usually order the same thing (combo plate & chicken lamb kifka sandwich), but that's how we know their consistency is on point. We typically order takeout and the food is always still hot by the time we get home. It's been a little while since we visited last (trying to cook more at home), so it was really endearing that the owner immediately recognized us and gave us the warmest welcoming! We will be back again and again and again.

Best food and service ever! The food was made fresh to order and so delish! It was like eating in my grandparents kitchen! The owner was so nice and sweet, he even catered to our picky eater and got her to try Baba Ganoush!!! And she loved it! We will for sure eat here again during our yearly vacay trip to the beach! Food is AWESOME here, been here a few times. I don't live close by so wherever I am in the area I make sure to stop by and eat at Layla's. I am always eating the same dish cause is so good, my friend did try other dishes and he likes them all so far. Next time I will try other dishes cause I am sure all of them are great.

We enjoyed eating here today. The vibe was very much a diner feel with a unique Mediterranean feel. This is very much a gem in the rough. While the outside appearance is spartan, the inside was full of people enjoying their meals. The wait staff were helpful and knowledgeable, providing quality service and answering questions well. We had an appetizer of Baba Ghannouj. Served with Pita, this was a great start for our meal. Simple and tasty, we enjoyed it immensely. My wife ordered the Rosemary Pizza. I was lucky enough that she shared a slice with me, honestly might have been one of the best pizzas that I’ve ever enjoyed. A perfect mix of gooey and crisp. I ordered the Combo Plate. A great way to sample their menu! The salad was simple, yet it was a delightful accent to the rest of the meal. The chicken and rice were seasoned just nice enough that it was full of flavor yet not overwhelming to the tastebuds. In summery, a delightful place to enjoy a meal that is both beautiful and filling.

I love Layla’s & we have picked up/dined in often. However, we have ordered in twice since they started bite squad delivery. The first time I ordered the gyro salad no meat was included & the second time ordering the gyro salad I made a special comment on including the gyro meat & only got a box full of sautéed vegetables. Odd. Highly recommend picking up or eating in, but not delivery.

Where do I start about Layla's; it's a hidden gem in Little Rock. This is a tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant with about 20 tables. It is an open kitchen concept to a half wall when you walk in. You can see the meats on the spits. There really isn't much to look at but the food makes up for that 10 fold. The food is AUTHENTIC Greek cuisine. I haven't been able to find a place (since I moved here from Wisconsin where there is a huge Greek presence) like this before. We spent $30 for 2 people to eat and we had so much we had to get take out boxes for the rest. REAL tzaziki, REAL tumeric rice, REAL pitas, REAL handcut vegetables for the sauteed vegetables I had (which still had a crunch to them), and a REAL Greek owner. When you walk up and the chairs outside are mismatched, you know you're in for a treat. Excellent food and excellent service.

This place is AMAZING!! The workers/owners were very friendly and attentive. The food tasted so fresh. We had the gyro sandwich served with crispy fries and the basil cream pasta. Both were outstanding. Will definitely be coming back to try the pizza next! 10/10 recommend.

Sometimes food doesn't match the quality of the people running the restaurant or vice-versa, but both are abundant in high quality at Layla's. Absolutely one of the best and reliable/consistent Mediterranean restaurants in LR. Great taste/flavors, bargain bin prices, friendliest service in town. I was being rung up by another employee and the owner himself came over, put the bag over the takeout box, and made sure to say hello/farewell before I left. It's just a nice touch to see someone care about more than just money nowadays.

They were one of the only restaraunts open, during a round of winter weather. Despite having the inability to seat guests, due to a plumbing issue, they were taking orders for take-out, hustling to have their seating area in working order, and bustling to take care of patrons. The kindness and hospitality of the staff was amazing. The food was good.

Well my wife suggested that we go to this spot I was not that interested because I had a taste for a burger. I am glad that I decided to just go with her suggestions. (Who knew listening to wife was a winner) From the moment we stepped in the establishment a calming vibe came across of me. Now I have had gyros before. (Who hasn't?) This place did not only made me realize that I had very cheap copies to the point I will be forever unable to accept the lesser versions. I also realized that the American policy that salt is a season is unfounded and leads us to miss out on actual seasoning. The Rosemary Pasta (or the Olive Garden slayer) had so much taste I wondered if I can just buy the sauce. We all have experience bland chicken that was not cooked with the pasta and is void of seasoning throughout it. This was not the case. The chicken had to be infused and had become one with the flavors of the dish that I wanted to go hug the cook. I thought that I had pasta and a calzone before but I was misled in accepting D class pasta as A class. If you want to eat at Olive garden again do not come here your taste buds will not accept second rate food again.

We always eat at Layla's several times whenever we're in Little Rock. It's not fancy by any means...just a small, quaint "hole in the wall" place, so to speak. Everything we've tried on the menu has been very good. Our favorites are the gyro sandwich which is wonderful with plenty of meat and only $5.40. My daughter and wife really like the hummus ($3.40). The spanakopita is the best we've ever had. We also enjoy the gyro pizza! The service has always been great, and you cant beat the prices!

I really enjoy laylas, I have gone several times and always leave satisfied, I love the pita bread and hummus. I had the chicken plate and had the chicken calzone. This place can get crowded easily as it is rather small inside. the waitress was attentive can't really ask for more.

The best mediterranean restaurant in Little Rock. This place is so good and I had my best experience of having mediterranean food here. The place is kind of small but the food is overwhelming. We had Mubarak Platter and Gyro Platter. Both are good in portion and most importantly flavourful.

Wonderful food! The pita was soft and warm. The humus was delicious! The gyro was huge and exceptionally good. The chicken plate was a cacophony of flavor. Rice on the bottom, grilled squash next, then topped with seasoned pieces of chicken. Will definitely go back.

Fantastic! If you're interested in amazing middle eastern food at a very good price I would most certainly stop by, if you haven't tried that style of food before this is the place to go!!! I typically get the lamb and kifta sandwich with spinach instead of lettuce and the falaffel platter as seen in the photos.

This place is a hole-in-the-wall gem that we discovered through Trip Advisor. Don't let the exterior fool you - the food is amazing and the people making and serving it are too. I think the nice gentleman who took our order was the owner. He was very helpful in convincing my daughter into adding gyro meat to her calzone. He even brought out a sample to make sure she liked the meat. She agreed and said it was the best calzone she'd ever had. I had the gyro sandwich and my wife had humus with pita bread and falafel. It was all so good and very reasonably priced. I'm so glad we went there. I wish we lived closer.

Layla’s has been my favorite place in Little Rock for years, and not just because the food is delicious. Their service is unparalleled. I got a pizza to go the other day, and they left off the sauce. No big deal, it was still great. I went back two days later to ask for some sauce to eat with my leftovers. The owner (and I always love a business that has a hands on owner) insisted on making me an entire new pizza. I tried to say that I was okay and just wanted a side of sauce, but he would not take no for an answer. That’s service at its finest. Thank you Layla’s for always being awesome!

I absolutely love love love Layla's. Their pizzas and calzones are amazing, but I usually get the lamb beef kifta and it is amazing. I also highly recommend getting an order of spanakopita to go with your meal. They're so flaky and delicious! If you're a big fan of pizza and/or Mediterranean food then I cannot recommend Layla's enough!

First came to this restaurant about 10 years ago to eat some Turkish food. Came nack here after 10 years to enjoy the good food. And surprisingly the taste and quality is rrtained with high degree of precision. We took Triple Meat Pizza, Goat platter, Lamb Kabob, Layla's platter, Chicken platter. Serving time was a little high at around 25 minutes. But the taste of food compensated for the wait time and more. Succulent portion is served and even hungry person would feel full with each serving. It is one of the most highly recommended places in Little Rock. If you are a foodie, you can't miss Layla's!

This place is a bit unassuming but it is delicious. Very much a "mom and pop" atmosphere. The prices are great and the portions are very large. You can easily get two meals out of one order. I would highly suggest that anyone interested in mediterranean food, give it a try. You won't be disappointed. My only complaint is that I live 3 hours from Little Rock. I don't think Grub hub delivers that far.

While we did have a few issues with a new server who flubbed our order (and honestly it was because she was new and doesn’t know the food yet), this is still my favorite place to eat in LR. Forget the pretender chain restaurant, if you want excellent Mediterranean food you need to be eating here. End of story!!!

I absolutely love Layla's! It's one of the places I miss most since we moved from the area. Their Greek style pizza is delicious and always has that perfect crust. The Greek salad with chicken is also great. It's perfectly seasoned and has a generous portion. The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the portions.

I don't usually give 5 stars to eateries but damn! This place may just be a hole in the wall restaurant but they can make a mean dish and it's affordable! They're hummus and flat bread is only $2.49 and it tastes amazing! I ordered 2 orders earlier today and it very hot and fresh! I haven't been back in years since and I regretted not going back sooner. Friendly staff great food!

Ordered the Lamp beef Kefta. Not a good flavor and meat was greasy. Salad has bitter taste. Hummus and baba gannoge tast like garlic. The Kibba was defeinately fried previously and then fried again when ordered and was over fried. I would give the food like 4/10 my wife gave it 7/10. I wouldn’t expect more since non of the workers are Mediterranean and would not know what our food should taste like.

The food and service here was PHENOMENAL! We ordered the Combo Plate (gyro meat, chicken, rice, and a small salad). The portions were huge, the flavors out of this world! I'm not personally a big fan of Mediterranean food but this place is always worth it. I always wind up getting their yogurt plate and it has never once been anything but amazing. I will say that there isn't a large variety of stuff on their menu that I am crazy about but I attribute that to my personal tastes and preferences. All in all, great food that I would recommend to almost anyone.

I am usually good for pictures, but I was halfway finished with this bomb food before I realized I didn't take any. My husband and I shared a Greek Calazone and still found ourselves full. Our food was soooo good and rustic. The atmosphere of the restaurant had a homey feel to it, so I knew the food was going to be like somebody's uncle or granny was back there cooking. Layla's is AMAZING!!! We visited here from out of town. My husband and I love Mediterranean food and Layla's did not disappoint. The food was excellent, authentic, and abundant! My husband ordered the Mubarack plate. We were astounded when it arrived. Four GENEROUS servings of different meat were heaped on a bed of rice, served with warm flat bread and yoghurt sauce. It was more than enough for TWO meals. At $15, this was a steal! The family running the restaurant only added to our pleasurable visit. They were kind and very attentive. If we lived in Little Rock, we would definitely be regulars.

Dining area & women's bathrooms could use a face lift. A fresh coat of paint and some minor repairs will do wonders for this restaurant.

We got into Little Rock last night and wanted some Mediterranean food and found Layla's. We drove over from our campground and placed a curb-side order. We ordered the falafel plate, gyro plate, two spanakopita and two baklava and the staff brought our order out once ready. The car ride back to our campground was excruciating because it smelled really good. Once back at our camper, we unpacked everything and were excited and disappointed... the food smelled great and was packaged well, but they forgot our baklava. :-( That said, everything we got was very good. However their tzatziki and spanakopita were really good!

I've been here twice and this is hands down my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Little Rock. Their hummus and pita bread is amazing. They serve it warm with olive oil and it is to die for. I love their Gyro sandwich and combo plate with gyro, pita, chicken and rice. My friends ordered the lamb kafta dish, chicken salad and calzone. They enjoyed their meals. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It is all delicious plus they bring out your food in a timely manner (less than 10 minutes).

We just discovered this little gem a few days ago-- we plan our stops on cross country trips to coincide with meals at great small local places we have discovered. If our anticipated Little Rock lunch place hadn't been closed, we would never have discovered Layla's -- talk about the cloud with the silver lining!! This is not your generic middle eastern eatery-- the chef serves the versions of these favorites from his native Syria....and we hadn't eaten any of these so deliciously prepared since we lived and traveled in the middle east a few years ago! The kibbeh served with a cup of marvelous herbed creamy yogurt dip and a bowl of light and satisfying lentil soup( a puree of pink skinless split baby lentils) totally bowled us over. And we've NEVER EVER had such perfect baba ghanoug (roasted eggplant dip)-- a perfect balance of texture and seasonings. Ditto for the hummus, and the tabouli salad is a true salad with its hand chopped, not food processer-ed, parsley and a lighter hand with the cracked wheat tabouli than you get in restaurants. Be sure to order the owner chef's grandmother's version of classic middle eastern tea-- it is positively addictive with its very light, very delicate spicing . And last but not least, make room for dessert and the BEST baklava you will EVER eat! We eaten the best fresh baklava from Turkey, Syria, Lebanon....and it doesn't get better than this.... We will be heading back home soon, and we've already planned to lunch again at Layla's when we get to Little Rock-- we can't wait to sample more chef's specialties!

Had my first taste of Greek food during the ncaa championship game and could not have been more pleased. My mom had the yogurt plate and I had a combo with gyro, chicken, kibbeh, and kifta kabob. Both plates were HUGE and DELICIOUS. I can't wait to take another trip to Little Rock for more Greek food. It's a tiny establishment but should be even higher in the list of best places to eat. By far the best gyro I've had. It was seasoned perfectly, and was sliced thick on delicious pita bread. Truly authentic Mediterranean style cuisine. Prices are low and portions are fairly large. We ordered the gyro sandwich and had a large chicken plate (with rice, squash, tzaziki) and a soda all for 17 bucks. Next time we are trying the falafel and pizza, though it will be difficult to not get the gyro every time! Bonus: waitstaff is nice, and they sell some Mediterranean pantry items in house.

ALL THE FOODS ARE HALAL. If you like spicy foods I recommend "Hot in the City" . They have many vegetarian dishes to offer. All foods are made to order and served hot.They are introducing a new menu with new choices. The Walnut pizza is a good vegetarian dish but you can have meat added to it if you choose. They have won several awards , Are listed by "CHEAP EATS" due to the low prices. One can afford to bring the whole family or treat their friends to a nice meal in a comfortable setting. Stop in and get out of the cold try their Mediterrean Hot Tea to warm you up. Enjoy your meal.

Wife and I have eaten here at least once per week since they've been open. That makes over 250 times. Since wife is very picky about restaurant experiences, you only get one chance to screw anything up. So you can see the folks at Layla's do a great job EVERY time. Must have dishes here: yogurt plate with shawarma chicken, roasted garlic and spinach pizza with shawarma chicken added, and the baklava made with pistacios instead of walnuts. Hidden gem is their hamburger made in their meat market in the back with fresh beef and lamb and fresh herbs. In any event, just order anything you like, you won't be disappointed. Lot's of imitators have opened up in way fancier places over the past few years, but this is the original and the best in town. Just tell them the 'cookie man' sent you!
