Very nice place, nice staff and a relaxed environment. The fried fish we had was delicious. They gave a heap of hushpuppies as appetizers and kept the fish coming. Dont miss out on this place.

Friday night 7:45pm Drive Thru people were honking (total 34 mins) I did notice the menu has changed The young female order taker did not greet nor apologize for the 8 min to take the order nor was she receptive to?’s on available items ‘Next’ same uncomfortable greeting at window (all the signs said Drive Off!) after you pay you’re forced to ask for the itemized receipt you wait another 5 mins then you’re told to pull out of the drive thru park on the side (Gasp) now it connects why she asked for my name at the order we’re now at 14 mins waiting waiting waiting only one car pulls away at 30 mins I called out to the guy delivering food to the car 5 cars behind me he actually has my food that he was returning to the kitchen except the bag is busted although I can tell the food is piping Hot (I tip at the window and the guy that brings my food) (my car and a/c ran for 30 mins) conundrum: I’m so frustrated I wait until I get home to begin my meal it’s actually still hot! tastes great and looks like I have a double order of shrimp and all the sauce’s, napkins, plastic wear were included (Had I simply been greeted professionally and courteously and informed of the wait times My frustrations would have been minimized)

They open at 4pm or so but the dinner experience is very comforting. Like your at home getting a plate ready and your about to sit down with your family. There is a salad bar that has pickled green tomatoes that is so good and refreshing, they are sweet with tang taste that goes great on anything in there menu. I have tried there gator once, after the curiosity I will stick to the cat fish and gumbo. I am a fan of there collard green and hush puppies with hunny butter it's a must. for dessert I usually always get a to go pecan pie. This place is a must for a date.

Food is delicious and the wait staff friendly and attentive. A couple of missteps- asked for no sour cream on my baked potato and sure enough got a fat blob of it right on there. Manager came around a couple of times as well and we asked for ToGo boxes. Had to ask twice. The website states there is a Senior menu but it was not offered when we asked for it. Please update the website! Salad bar is basic but fresh and well tended. Needs bacon bits! The basket of complimentary hush puppies on the table is a wonderful touch. Our party was older and chatty and we were not rushed. I appreciate that so much. I had blacked catfish and it was perfect. The fried okra side was perfect as well. I want to go back just for a slice of pecan pie!

Well this location is dated it is clean it does not have a funny smell which is great especially when there's fish involved. The service has always been a one this is my second time attending. The unlimited fried catfish and shrimp fries is very much well worth the price. However that is if you indulge and like to eat an unlimited amount of food. I believe I sat there by myself for about an hour and a half maybe two did a little bit of work and ate along the way. The food was fresh hot every time they brought out new fish which I think is a lot better than going to a buffet and you have to get up to get fresh hot food they bring it right to you when you need it. Miss Eva was my server she was very attentive and polite while she managed the entire section that I was sitting in and it was completely full I felt like she did a great job. I believe I tipped her well a half of what my bill was which my bill wasn't a lot but I still gave her 50% of what it was. I will certainly return again and I recommend that you go.

Very good southern fried, cajun/Louisiana restaurant. Food is good! I had the catfish and alligator tail. I loved it. Service was wonderful and prompt. Good selection of appropriate drinks to partner with your food. I will absolutely be back again!

It wasn't crowded. Had our own booth/room for a party of 8. Instead of bread they give you a basket of hush puppies (two different types) with honey butter, which both was really good. Everything was seasoned well. Specialty is catfish which I'm not a big fan of, but both the blackened and fried catfish was good. The steak was seasoned well and tender. Tried the alligator tail and it was really tasty. The fried oysters was on point. Fried really hard, crispy and well seasoned, may be the best I have yet to try.

Always good. We've been eating here for 30 years and will continue to enjoy the food. We go for the all you can eat catfish and usually make it a family affair. It doesn't open until 4pm and if you go on a weekend, go early, it gets crowded.

Not understanding why the Togo menu is much better than the dine-in menu. And you can't order to go menu items to eat there. Totally ridiculous. Fish had too much batter on it. But shrimp and chowder was delicious

We don't go to Vegas often but when we do go, we're always looking for a chance to get some hush puppies. We haven't been in years and finally had a chance to get the Monday night crab legs special and it was Delicious. Plus, to my surprise, when I asked for the check I was told that there family that was sitting next to us had paid for our meal when they left a few minutes before us. Wow!! I'm verrrry thankful to them. That was the nicest thing that I never saw coming. It made a great dinner even better!!! Pay it forward!

My family and I have been long time customers. Although the food is tasty, the portions are disappointingly small! I understand that most establishments have had to raise their prices and reduce their portions. Hush Puppy's portions were so small that I don't plan to return. 😢

Same simple catfish dinner but now $20 a person. Same plastic drink cups but costs $4 now. Way overpriced. Server was awesome wish we could have tipped more but not the family friendly diner anymore.

First time here for Mother's Day, it is a fun family restaurant and our waitress was friendly! The food could've been a little better salt wise. I didn't care for the hush puppies or cole slaw. We tried a little bit of everything and the fried oysters were definitely a hit!

Been wanting to try this place and so glad I did. Takes me back to the French Quarter and Mardi Gras! Delicious food! The Jambalaya is terrific, rich and full of chicken just like I get in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gumbo is excellent as well as the oysters, shrimp and frog legs! Hush Puppy is my go to place for home style Louisiana cooking!

Service was great! Friendly & attentive. We both ordered the Seafeat Platter which comes with the salad bar and a side. One of us got the greens and the other the fries. The coleslaw is perfect. While there were no issues, I'm not sure we will ever be back because it was just not what we were looking for. The breading on the catfish was cooked up nicely but had no flavor. The boiled shrimp were plain. The fried shrimp were good and the crab cake was decent but had a little less flavor than I usually look forand was a bit on the dry side. All the sauces we were brought were sweet; cocktail sauce was sweet, tartar sauce was sweet. We also asked for some remoulade... we were brought a white colored sauce that looked and tasted like mayonnaise with green onions in it. Not sure what that was about. The greens were also cooked nicely but were also on the sweet side and really could have used a touch of salt and maybe a dash of vinegar. All in all, this may be a great place for some but not for us, just a touch too bland.

I came because I wanted good food. They sat me quick and served me great food. The food was way better than expected. If you are a human and have to eat food to survive then this location will not only serve you the food you need to survive but also water or other drinks. I received a higher than average energy level from this food than many competing locations. They are friendly to autistic people but it can get noisy during busy times or on the weekend. It's best to go right at 4pm during the work week if you have a sensory problem.

I'm sadden about the shortened hours but am glad that the location is still open. I was shocked at the catfish dinner special, how the dinner was cheaper than getting fish only! I'm glad they still have the all-you-can-eat catfish special.

I always went to one on W. Charleston. It's ok...I just feel, some of the staff need to leave they personal stuff out the building. Food is good, prices are up...smh. just hope the food get better then or they do something to soften the prices going up, H.P. Is cool. Nice place to sit and eat..ENJOY

Love this place! I have been here a few times. always for the all you can eat catfish and shrimp! I love there catfish it does not taste dirty or fishy my kids even eat it! Shrimp were good! Mac and cheese was delicious and the greens were almost perfect!! Absolutely love the hush puppies!! Perfect! Delicious!! The salad bar is not the best but good enough I will say! Always pretty busy which is common so be patient the food is delicious and worth it! Customer service was nice! Hard working ladies! Love this place and will return many more times

What a great experience! We haven’t been here in years, maybe 10? We were actually driving by, and just decided to stop in for dinner. All follow all the normal covid stuff, and once seated no masks, of course. We just ordered the all you can eat catfish. Our meals came out relatively fast, and the fish and fries were hot. The catfish was tasty, cooked perfectly, just a little crispy. The hush puppies were tasty & not greasy at all. The all you can eat salad bar is closed, because of covid. A great dinner and will be back!

OMG...I have missed this place!! I ate here all the time when I lived here years ago. I was so glad to see it was still here. I tagged along with my husband for a work conference. He had never been off the strip. He wanted to eat where the locals eat, and I knew this was the place. He absolutely loved it!! The food is so fresh and Penny gave amazing service. He said it was the best fried shrimp he's ever had. He had the all you can eat for $16.95 with fries and a salad bar. I had the shrimp cocktail which was fantastic and the chargrilled catfish. It was soooooo good. The Cole slaw is amazing as are the chow chow, cocktail sauce and tarter sauce. He said it will be a regular on his list every time he's in Vegas.

I think this place is pretty good. The catfish and alligator was the best, the clam strips are pretty good and the shrimp are ok. The shrimp po boy would be better if pressed and real mayo, not sandwich spread, was used. The salad bar is good and the service was ok. To me, this place could really use an update, it's just like it was in 1988.

Had all- you- can - eat Catfish, includes salad bar, and 2 kinds of hush puppies. Excellent! I order the fresh catfish, it's between that, or farm- raised. I prefer the fresh water Catfish. There are other dishes too, not just fish. Chicken Fingers, Half a chicken breast. Price is good also. Mine was $25.00 ALL- You Can Eat.

This is a very nice local restaurant. A very down home environment. The servers are attentive. The food is good but almost everything is fried. Don't choose if you are looking for a bit more of a healthy diet. The day we were there the air conditioner was so cold that the food did not stay warm longer than a few minutes and we pretty much froze to death because we had never been there before and did not take any jackets with us. Mentioned the temperature to some of the workers but there was no response.

Oh my God I took my son there for his birthday October 23rd my son is sick he never been out to a restaurant he loved the restaurant ..the mosphere there he loves that.. it was quaint and the people are so nice and down-to-earth.. the owner I didn't get its name but he was the best host.. they even brought my son up ice cream with a candle in it and sing happy birthday to him.. the owner came over and talked to us and I let him know I've been there ten years ago and had to come back and we'll be back again Hush Puppies is the only place that I would like to eat at when I go to Vegas everybody should try it they have the best food you would not be disappointed and they hush puppies are to-die-for....OMG I'm going to make a special trip to go back just to go to hush puppies

When standing in line to be seated & looking around at the patrons & environment it would make you think to DRESS up for dinner! No bar to enjoy a beverage or any alcoholic drinks offered. Also, please do come there and sit for an average $20 to $30 dinner, its NOT going to happen a Saturday night try like $40 to $50 plate...and that's not even the BLUE PLATE SPECIAL! Last but not fun or funny I think you have to be over 65 years of age to be seated or even glanced over at because you may get seated for not being in the unwritten guidelines. $$$ and NO front desk customer service!

The food was so good! The alligator po' boy is one of the best things I've ever eaten; the tartar sauce on the sandwich is out of sight! Our waitress was on point and was so friendly. I loved the atmosphere; it was like an old Louisiana fishing shack. The Louisiana-style shrimp should not be passed up cuz the spices give them excellent flavor with a bit of a kick. I will be returning shortly hungry for more!

Found this place on a drive by. The Hush Puppies are really good, the onetime salad bar was a great added feature since it had few things other do as bars don't. The Cajun Fantasy with baked potato was extremely flavorful and the catfish some of the best I have had...did not taste muddy.

My friend, husband and I had gone to the location on Nellis but discovered that it had been permanently closed. After googling the location on Charleston & Rainbow we saw that it was quite a distance from us but we decided to go anyway. Turns out this was the best decision ever!! Been going here for over 20 years, every time we're in Las Vegas. Best fried catfish anywhere. Comfort food. All-you-can-eat option. Love that it hasn't changed much in all this time. Sorry to see they took out the salad bar. I assume due to Covid. Hope they'll put it back in at some point. It's not cheap, but I think it's worth it.

I was there yesterday around 5 or 5:30 and I wanted some cha cha and the 2 beautiful women at the counter told me they were out of cha cha. I then ordered some Jambalaya with shrimp and the 2 beautiful women were joking saying they were out of Jambalaya, they are the reason why I am giving a 5 star rating, well of course the Jambalaya was beyond good but the 2 women will keep me coming back whenever I visit Vegas again

This place was impressive. Never had hush puppies before, a type cornmeal bread fried and served as initial table appetizer. I believe the food style originates from the south. Lots of references to southern states in Meal names. Good stuff The environment was impressively large inside. Staff were polite and accommodating. Restaurant was clean and comfortable and visually southern coastal look and feel. And the venue was pleasantly diverse as well! Adding this spot to my favorites foodie list to recommend to friends and family visiting town.

A must stop restaurant for a great dining experience. Been coming here for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. This Southern style restaurant has and is authentic Southern cuisine. The food is always made to order and very flavorful. Once go once you'll be hooked this is definitely a 1st stop for me when I arrive in Vegas.

I have not been to Hush Puppies in a long time. I enjoyed the alligator tail appetizer. I missed the salad bar. I hope it is not lost forever. They were out of the fiddlers. I had the farm raised catfish fillets and fried shrimp combo. The catfish was nice and flakey. Honestly the best I have had for catfish. The fried shrimp however was not. It was dropped when the oil was not hot enough. The result was an oily batter. Our server Jennifer was on the spot. I would have given less stars if it was not for her. Thank you Jennifer 😊

My family and I ate at this place twice within two weeks of being in Vegas. Their experiences was different each time. My last experience wasn't as favorable as the first one . I ordered fried green tomatoes and I got fried red and pink. Each time my family really enjoyed the fish. The fries what's less desirable, no flavor.

Good place to eat. Price was decent. My husband ordered half back ribs and snow crab and it was only $25. Not too bad! The shrimp and catfish for me was a little greasy. If you are looking for classic southern food, this isn't your mom and pop place. I have a hard time eating at restaurants that are better than a good home cooked meal. Lol. But pretty decent. We went at 9pm on a holiday and still got decent service. Just felt bad for coming in so late before closing.

We ordered a variety of food, farm raised and fresh catfish, shrimp cocktails, fried green tomatoes, shrimp, steak, baked potato, etc. Overall dissatisfied with food taste and quality. We did not request seconds on the all you can eat food items. Usually a staple when visiting Vegas but the last few visits were disappointing.

I've been going to the hush puppy for 35 years with my family and it was once amazing. Over the years they've changed some things and the changes were not so great. But now they've removed their salad bar which was the main reason my mom continued to go there and the service leaves a lot to be desired. Their wait staff is over worked and the food has been suffering considerably. Tonight we went and spent$80 for three people. No cocktails. The corn cobbets came out cold like fresh out of the fridge cold my baked potato Lockheed and felt like it had been in a warmer for a couple of hours and was hard with black spots all over the inside. I'll admit my streak was amazing as usual but since no one in my family likes fish it's just not worth it. I'll miss a hush puppy greatly my family has spent many years celebrating so many Milestones there it makes me sad to go.

The waitress here her name is Taylor, she has exemplary customer service skills. There were 9 of us at the table, not only did she get our orders correct, she went above on every request and didn't miss not one item. The most important part that stood out for me is she was consistent with her smile and I felt that she actually enjoyed her job! She was amazing!!!

I wish I could give this restaurant 6 stars, it was an enjoyable, pleasant, and delicious tour of Southern cooking from the hush puppies, alligator, cat fish, and fried oysters. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive. The meals are priced appropriately and represent quality cooking and ingredients. The salad bar was clean, had a high variety of choices, and came with every entree, even the children's meals. Our only regret was not returning later that week as we had planned to for another look at their other dishes. I highly recommend this establishment and also recommend coming early to get seating, it is very popular, even (and especially) on Sundays.

Best catfish in Vegas! Also only gluten-free catfish fry in Vegas. I had 3 baskets of fried catfish and not one tummy ache. Side note: I am not celiac, I do have an allergy.

Well, I'm a down south girl so I love Southern fare. I really like the fried catfish fillets and the boiled shrimp here. The shrimp have a nice seasoning/flavor and the catfish are light and crispy. The menu is varied and there are typically daily specials. There is always an "All you can Eat" fried catfish that you can combine with fried shrimp. I don't really recommend the fried shrimp but it doesn't hurt to try it since it's included for the same price. The hush puppies are also very yum but the salad bar is a bit plain and lacking. Service is also good. A cool place to check out for some down South food. Go and get your Cajun on and don't forget to try the collard greens!

I've made sure to stop here every time I'm in Vegas. In 20+ years its still an amazing experience, as hardly anything has changed. The catfish is hands down the best you're going to get in Vegas. Staff is always great and you never leave without being full. I'd highly recommend stopping here for an awesome meal in a laid back atmosphere.

Food is always delicious. We have been using their drive thru window for years. The fried oysters are from New Orleans and are reasonably priced. Eating in is always a treat at Hush Puppies. Their green tomato relish is delicious as are their desserts. The wait staff is always friendly and helpful. In the days of non-COVID, a great party place. My only complaint is they don't like to separate checks for a party of 10 or so people.

We will say , It’s pretty authentic. Had the catfish , really tasty and done in the New Orleans / southern style . The collard greens are well seasoned. Get off the strip to find the best snow crab at the best price. Everything about this place was great. The host John, went out of his way to make us feel at home and stuffed our bellies. It's been a while since I visited the Hush Puppy on West Charleston, but I attended a birthday party of eleven adults this weekend. When we arrived at our reserved table, it wasn't set up for our group. After getting that taken care of we sat without a menu or any offer of water for approximately fifteen minutes, and we started using our phones to view the menu. When the server (who looked like he'd just woke up and was still tired) arrived to take our order he realized and did correct the issue. We waited for approximately twenty-five minutes for our food to arrive. The food however was very good and no one complained about it. We didn't see our server much after that. He came buy once to offer more food from the all you can eat menu choices. He only refilled one drink when requested, but ignored the other empty glasses. The server was was left a tip based on his level of service and it wasn't much at all. Everything else as far as the restaurant is concerned was very nice. I intend to visit the Hush Puppy on W. Charleston again if only for a opportunity to write a better review of the service.

I've been going to Hush Puppy's since I was about 8 yrs old with my parents. All you can eat cat fish night with my Dad were great and the salad bar was usually really good. Over the years the quality kind of diminished a bit however, I started going again to the one on Charleston a few years ago and let me tell you. The food is still wonderful. The ribs are always perfectly done, the catfish in fried perfectly and no muddy taste that some places have. The salad bar is a bit smaller but it's still a great addition and you gotta order the fried green tomatoes.

If you order the frog legs and alligator, you will not be disappointed. They have some of the best hush puppies I have ever had. The sweet tea is excellent, if you like good southern sweet tea it is a must. Also, ensure you get plenty of green tomato relish and pickled carrots from the salad bar. This place is always delicious. Only place in town I've been able to find alligator tail. And every time I go here the service is great. There's a salad bar which comes with most of the meals and it is also really good. The vegetables are really fresh and it has a good selection for salad dressings. Also for Pokemon go players, there is a stop right in the middle of the restaurant.

The owner's brother-in-law came out and chatted with us throughout the meal, told us stories of his time in the kitchens of restaurants on the Strip in the 50's and 60's.

Very friendly waitress. The catfish comes in many varieties which are all fried. It's always fresh and piping hot . The green tomato relish is great and surprisingly the cherry tomatoes were the star of the salad bar. They serve sweet tea if you like or many other beverages. For four people I spent 80 dollars including the tip for all you can eat. I personally believe if they were to serve spoon hush puppies and regular butter it would be better. I don't like the ones they have nor the honey margarine. They have allligator and frog legs if you like. I tried it and do not care for either. They have pie but not so good. It's a homey style place . If you like catfish then you have to try it. I would gladly recommend.

A friendly, efficient host seated us immediately upon our arrival on a Saturday night at 5:30. Our server took our orders, catfish fillets and fried shrimp, after which we helped ourselves to the salad bar. The items were fresh and the dressings thick and tasty. Our entrees arrived at the table just as we finished our salads. The fillets were crisp, hot and delicious; the shrimp was crisp, but not hot enough and sadly, without much flavor. The Hush Puppy is carrying on a tradition. Was it perfect? No, but it was definitely more then acceptable.

I've been here for this restaurants opening through the present day. I can no longer eat here, as my diet won't allow it, but it was always one of my go to spots as a younger person, and it hasn't changed a lot. There is more seating and a couple of additions to the menu. Salad bar comes with most meals, and it is a southern boy and girl's dream. Also included are hush puppies and drinks. Service has always been excellent and I'd recommend this place for dates, as there are dining rooms that feel semi-private, and they have a wine and beer menu also. If you like fried foods, this is a definite good choice.

The Hush Puppy will always have a place in my heart; good food, great staff, relatively close location but, for a while now, its catfish portions have gotten smaller and smaller. My family, friends, and I normally order the farm raised (which should be thick and juicy) but now when we order a 3 piece meal to go it seems like the 3 pieces all came from 1 fish (and are pretty thin). I’m not saying that I won’t be back; I just wish the fish was like it was when I first patronized the restaurant years ago.

My brother took me to eat here. He told me they had the best catfish I had ever eaten. We both grew up in Texas and know what good catfish is. He has been away from Texas for about 30 years so I didn't really know how good his "catfish taste" was after such a long time exposed to the typical Las Vegas food which I don't really like. He couldn't have been more right. We had the "All you can eat whole catfish" and it was the best I have ever had outside my own kitchen and just as good. They bring you a big basket of hushpuppies which I usually don't eat even if they are good because I want to eat catfish. These were so good that I took up some catfish room because I couldn't stop eating them. The owner(I'm sorry I forgot his name) came over and talked to us for a few minutes to ask if everything was alright. The sides were good but the fish was GREAT. I was ther for 4 days so before I left we went back and did it again and it was ever bit as spectacular as the first time. Waitstaff was great both times. If you catfish you need to go there.

Adorable and quaint restaurant. The food is almost like home cooking. The salad bar contains all fresh items and is checked on a regular basis for refills. The shrimp was delicious. Some of us had the catfish. They seem to enjoy it very much. The restaurant is good for family members, togethers, and small children. On weekends parking may be a little difficult but during the week there is ample parking.

My mom and I met a good friend of ours for dinner today at Hush Puppies. It was simply one of the best decisions we have ever made. It was like going home because the staff there treated us like family. The food was AMAZING! Our waitress was FANTASTIC! She was very friendly and seemed to instinctively know when we needed her without being overbearing. The Manager went around checking on everyone to make sure we were happy. For those of you who are "borderline OCD" like me, the bathroom was very clean as was the restaurant floor, tables and utensils. I was very impressed. Wow! Now, I won't go anywhere else for fish. Hush Puppies has spoiled me. If you have out of town guest, as many of us in Las Vegas often do, take them to Hush Puppies if you want to impress them with really great ambiance, great food and wonderful staff all for a very reasonable price.

I really love it here my husband and I bring family and friends in for great food at least twice per month. The atmosphere and food are fantastic but the downside is the little african american host thats in the picture. Her attitude and customer service is horrific. I've personally reported her twice for her nasty attitude and rudeness. They won't let you leave unsatisfied and will do what it takes to keep you patronizing, which I love, but the hostess will make your dining experience unpleasant. Other than that I love this place.

Good food! But my goodness, my family and I always us the drive-up window to order. Several times some of or part of my order is left out of the bag! I've learned to check my bags before i leave the window, but my husband hasn't. But he shouldn't have to. My husband picked up our order last Saturday night, and and OMG, the cold slaw and green tomatoes were not in the bag!!!😬😬. So he had to make the 15 minute trip back to get what we had already paid for!! 😬😬😬😬😬🤒😫 Update: Previous post 3 years ago. Food is still great, and drive-through service during this pandemic has made a huge improvement! My recent 2 visits prove to be top notch! I've been coming here for years when in town. If you want great fish whether visiting or a local, this place is a no brainer, great and tasty food, fantastic, just go, the drive thru feature is especially awesome when you want to eat good and be lo key and grab n go.

Best part of visit was the great staff. Ambiance is ok, food was alright. My friend would give this a 5 star as she loved everything and has already been back twice! So, basically, give it a try. It's a landmark on the west side of town. And they have frog legs, which are hard to find on another menu.

Food was good, a little under seasoned and since it was all fried, the flavors werent that distinctive. The room we were seated in (with the water fall) felt a little crapped and warm. About what we expected, but we missed the older style round hushpuppies. They're now more like torpedo-shaped battered cornbread wads, and less like actual hushpuppies. Cocktail sauce needed modification with horse radish to make it taste right. Service was great, and catfish was delicious.

Friendly staff and hostess. Daily specials are an attraction, but my ribs were kinda dry (despite the sauce) and fish fried a little harder than my liking. The food felt "heavy" and although there was a salad bar, this is not a place to go if you're trying to eat something healthy. I doubt I will return, but thank you for the experience.

I went to The Hush Puppy with my sister and her family because it is one of their favorite restaurants. I have a strange allergy to seafood that let's me eat shellfish but not fon fish, so I couldn't try the dish (fried catfish) they are most famous for. I did try the snow crab legs, and they were very good, except a couple of them that were crazy salty. My wife and I both had the New York steak which was ok, but not great. I think you need to stick to the catfish if you want to fully appreciate this place.

We've been coming here for 30+ years. I'm not a fish-person, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE their farm-raised boneless catfish. Hush Puppies with their honey butter are yummy too. Most of the time we are waited on by Penny, who's worked here for years. She always takes excellent care of us: more catfish, hush puppies, refill your sweet tea?!! For us, Hush Puppy on West Charleston is a no-brainer.... the food & service never change.... they are always excellent. We also enjoy their self-serve fresh salad bar with all the basics & a nice variety of fresh salad dressings. Some of the choices include: macaroni & potato salads, canned green tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, pickled beets, etc. It's a great way to start your meal. The prices are very reasonable, too. Everytime we take our first bite of hot succulent catfish, we roll our eyes & wonder why we haven't been back to Hush Puppy sooner. Try it this weekend. You're welcome!

Visit on a wednesday about 7:30pm. No waiting catfish was good, shrimp was greasy, ribs had a taste of being cooked in large quanities & sitting under a warmer. The gumbo had plenty shrimp lacked thickness of the juices it was cooked in. Overall i will give it another try soon. They need a little practice from the southern Hush puppy restaurants.

Staff was nice and friendly April 13th 2017 went there for that all you eat catfish and got stuffed like crazy fish was good hush puppies were great. Price is a little bit steep but worth it when you get through eating all that catfish I need a wheel barrel roll my wife about it as she ate so much. Make you come out there talking like Scooby-Doo it was so good we'll be back in two months because that's all I can afford but the food is still good

Dinner for 4. Website is Very outdated. Prices on web are $12.50. Actual price today is $17.95 +. The table for 4 was morelike a table for 2. Very crowded for 4 adults. Server was doing her best but appeared to have too many tables, didn't see her much. The restaurant was uncomfortably warm. Our first visit and most likely will not be returning anytime soon. I really enjoyed the alligator tail and the shrimp and I loved the hush puppies my only issue was with covid 19 going around I felt very uncomfortable when the waitress started coughing at our table and her cough sounded so terrible and she didn't cover her mouth with her elbow either so this made my visit unpleasant besides the fact it took a good 10 minutes to even get waited on but once the waitress came to take our order the service was great except the waitress coughing while at our table this makes it scary to even consider eating out especially in these times the waitress was very pleasant other than sounding like she was sick with a bad cold or something our server was named Jen

The fried catfish was ok. The fried shrimp appeared to be from a box and was also just ok. But the coleslaw... baaaaby it was absolutely devine! I mean delicious!! The best I’ve ever had!!! I wasn’t a fan of the hush puppies but seen in the reviews that people love to eat them with honey butter or that there is a jalapeño version. The coleslaw was that good that I will return for it alone where I plan to try honey butter or jalapeño hush puppies and the blackened catfish which also had some really good reviews. The young man at the window was very helpful and when I told him we were new to begas he said be sure to come in where the menu has more to offer. We will be back! I enjoy shopping and eating local, not from large chains, even as a new resident of Nevada.

Great place where mostly locals go for Southern homestyle fish frys. Fried Cat fish and Gulf Oysters are the stars on this menu. But bbq ribs and everything else on the menu is great too. Endless salad bar has all the fixings to complete your meal. Weekday all you can eat specials are the best!! A must stop when in Las Vegas. Two locations to serve you.
