Reviews of Shucks Tavern & Oyster Bar
T PI needed to use their bathroom and wasn't that hungry, so I thought I'd get something small. Initially, I was going to get shrimp tacos but my friend said their clam chowder was good so, I thought I could order the same thing since the price was too good to refuse but I need reassurance that it doesn't contain olive oil. After the server made sure that it didn't contain olive oil then I went ahead and ordered it. I'd say it was worth every penny and more. I forgot to ask if they made their own sourdough bread bowl because it was perfectly cooked. Lightly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside and mouth filling when smothered with their well blended claim chowder. It was really good. My only complaint and it's not a real complaint, since you can't complain that there's not enough claims for that price. I'm going back to try their other food and you should too! Cheers
Live Free and Play HardAn awesome place out in Summerlin!! The fish and chips here are fantastic as well as the crab cakes. Nice pasta dishes also!! The artichoke crab dip and chips for appetizer is terrific with wine! Las Vegas visitors, this is well worth the drive off the Strip to get some good food!! Best part it is open 24 hours. When I worked nights, i could call in a take out order and pick it up on the way home. It was a really nice treat to grab a wonderful meal after work on the way home! Check out the specials on the wall as you walk in the place.
Harrison HarveyAwesome for the price. Crab Louie salad is a ton of seafood on top of lettuce with a delicious dressing. Soft shell crab was worth it too. About 25 mussels in the lb. of mussels.
Andrew RissoI went to Palace Station yesterday for some oysters. Oysters were good but the Shooters were served in.a plastic cup. So last night I looked up another Oyster Bar to go to for breakfast on my way back to Elko and I found this place.
What an amazing find. Oysters on the half shell with minced garlic and 3 Shooters for breakfast? I now have a favorite Oyster bar for when I move back to Vegas week. The taste was amazing, as was the price. The Bartender was friendly and professional and the Shooters? We’re in an actual glass with a large oyster in each..
Being a Central Cali Coast boy, I know my seafoods and this place hit it on all cylinders. Thank you and I can see why you’ve been here for 20 years.
I’ll be seeing you regularly and the Palace and Green Valley have nothing on you.
Paul Helmick8/17/22 - Besides oysters as the name implies, this 20-year old restaurant has a huge selection of authentic New Orleans style food from Gumbo to Po Boy’s. The Peruvian style raw oysters, mussels, and crawfish are pictured. #pmhthelife
jerry badawiWe went there on a saturday afternoon for lunch, it was nice, a friendly place full of locals and everyone knew each other. Very nice ambiance but the food lacked taste, we tried the fish taco and grilled Mahi mahi, to be honest it wasn't bad but not the best, plus the portions were extra small.
Gina BIf you love seafood you will love this place. The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. We ordered steamed clams, bacon wrapped shrimp and fried oysters. Everything is very fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. They have the best fried oysters in town. We love the place and have been back several times since. Give it a try and tell me if I'm right.
