Reviews of Hong Kong Garden Seafood • Dim Sum Cafe
This place is definitely in my top 3 for Dim Sum in Vegas! It took a moment for someone to seat us because so many people were cashing out. It was also a Monday at lunch time. Drinks were served to us as soon as we were seated. Then the carts rolled around where you could select whatever you wanted. There was some shumai that I picked out. The attendant told me that it had been on the cart for awhile so she asked if I could wait a few minutes and brought me another that had just finished cooking! I really appreciate this because it added to my overall enjoyment! There were very few things that we needed to order off the menu because we didn't see them on the carts. Almost everything we wanted was readily available on the carts. So convenient for people who are traveling who are extremely hungry! The restaurant was extremely clean! Service was perfect! Very welcoming people! The food was spectacular! And the prices are so good!
Best place to eat dim sum in Las Vegas! Been to the"other" locations in this city (grimey hole in the walls to white-chef-coat-hotel locations) and we choose this place as being better than the rest becasue it's affordable, easy location, great quality and the rarity....staff are extremely friendly!! Although want to caution you on ordering. Portions are larger on the dim sum items so I would recommend ordering one item good for two people feasting. Our favorite on the menu that you will not see in many Chinese restaurants alone is the Pork Blood with Chives and the Sweet Rice With Preserved Meat!!
Let's open with a warning, the food is quite salty. If you're not used to eating high sodium diet, I can see some difficulties with this food.
I would say this is at least one of the top three dim sum places I've ever been to. The portions are also very generous and we indeed over-ordered. But the price is so good compared to the east coast. Apart from the saltiness, we found almost everything to be quite tasty, it was an incredible feast for a breakfast and we packed everything to have for dinner that day.
I would like to warn you that it can get super crowded really quickly. If you're going for breakfast, I would recommend showing up right to the opening time to get a table so that you won't have to join the line that would be going outside the door.
In A Nutshell:
-The Hong Kong Garden Seafood & Dim Sum Cafe restaurant serves up some decently good dim sum.
-Rather than pushing carts around, you will select your items using the paper menu & pencil.
-The service is very fast & efficient so there isn't much waiting after you order.
-The chrysanthemum tea is the perfect hot drink for dim sum as it helps break down the oils in your mouth.
-I ordered four items plus the tea & the total was around $20.
-That's not a bad price at all, coming from California the total would be around $30+.
Overall, if you want some very good dim sum while you are in Vegas, this is a good spot for it.
The rice noodle roll skin (Chee Cheong Fun) was thicker than my liking.
Siew mai (Shao Mai)was meaty and huge, which is a nice touch.
Steamed pork ribs are nice, but not all meat were drenched in the sauce.
Steamed chicken was nice, but not uniques. Feels like some Thai steam chicken?
Har Kow (Prawn dumpling) was meaty with fresh prawn.
Tunip dumpling was a new addition and recommended by the staff, it was nice and unique. Good to try!
All in all, it's one of Vegas earlier opening dim sum store so it's a good visit!
I was craving dim sum and stop by Hong Kong Garden to get my fix. The restaurant was packed tonight (04/17/22) at 9 pm. I walked in and there were tables filled with people celebrating and drinking. I ordered an assortment of dim sum (har gow, sieu mai, shrimp chive dumplings, turnip cake, ham sui gok, fried taro dumplings, Chinese broccoli) to go and waited about 10 minutes for my order. What I tried was pretty decent and definitely not the best.
Food is mediocre. Chicken fingers and congee is ok. I feel most food is not freshly prepared. Like frozen and reheat. I give 3 star considering the cheap price.
Great Cantonese food and dim sum in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Las Vegas is full of terrific places to eat off the strip, and this is a go-to.
Came on a Monday about 530 pm. No wait. Very good Roast Duck and congee. Braised Beef soup also good. They even gave me a red bean soup for dessert (with tapioca pearls; what a treat). Reminds me of my childhood. This is my first time. I'll make sure to come back.
Food is okay, not spectacular. Decor is a bit dated. Service is okay, plate change was a bit slow.
The dim sum was so good! Lots of Asians come here and it was packed on a Friday morning. Fresh and fast, great variety too ☺️
Friendly staff, authentic taste. Hong Kongers from the Peak to Vancouver will not be disappointed. Pork spareribs just enough tension, then fell off the bones. Shrimp balls big and beautiful. Generous large shaomai. (Xiaomai), shrimps in rice noodle wrap, and salt and pepper fish. Less than $40!
The dimsum here is ok pretty decent, nothing spectacular. The service was good for a Chinese restaurant.
Their crab is to die for. My aunt and her friends and my BFF really appreciated the crab as well as fish maw soup. It helps they were needed me to order in Cantonese and Mandarin (I mix both lol) and good enough to order food and engage in basic convo. Scallop fried rice was delightful. They enjoyed Kung pao chicken (my aunt and company are Caucasian). They didn't care for the seafood claypot tho. They did enjoy the potstickers and shrimp dumplings. Didn't take photos of all of the food cuz we all them so fast. If you order the crab, please tell them not to show you the crab if it bothers you. It's just the culture to show what you're ordering. Fish maw soup has egg white drop in it and was hands down the best along with the crab.
Authentic dim sum served her. Down side is that it was a little pricey. Service was a little slow.
Great food! Very large plates for dim sum 😋☺️
I have enjoyed dim sum here many times. The sesame balls are awesome. So too is egg custard, mango pudding, pot stickers, all the many and varied dumplings. Today I enjoyed a special portion of crispy pork. They also offer duck and very fresh seafood. The walnut shrimp is a favourite of mine. I always enjoy a pot or two of tea in keeping with the traditions of dim sum. You will find a full bar and all the complex beverages you may seek. Plenty of parking and easy to find on Spring Mountain the interior is secluded and has a tree garden outside large picture windows. Relax and enjoy!
This is my go to place for Dim Sum. There may be better restaurants in out there but this place has that Hong Kong feeling of old school taste and service (if that makes sense). COVID 19 has changed how dim sum is served which was a big part of the dining experience. You now order from the menu vice getting it from a food cart that gets pushed between tables.
Great food. Just gets super busy.
Great choice for a family style Chinese Restaurant with good seafood and lots of authentic dishes on the menu. It was packed when we were there even at 10 pm there were lines waiting for tables. Seats easily 150 .
We had a great time here. Food was excellent. Very tasty and reasonably priced. The only thing is service. Some staff won't talk to you. They walk away in the middle of an order. You'll never get a refill on water or any other drink.
Really fresh dim sum made to order. We ordered the usual favorites and tried fried tofu with jalapenos and garlic. The fried tofu dish was outstanding. Great service and fair prices
Delicious, authentic, and reasonably priced food! My parents are from Hong Kong and they said this place was very authentic. The waitstaff spoke Cantonese an we were able to order a few specialty items in addition to dim sum which was nice.
Wow....dim sum in Las Vegas did not disappoint. Probably better than most places in Honolulu. Saw this guy on YouTube who ate at this place and it was good. We had shrimp and chives, look fun (rolled noodles) with char sui, salt and pepper shrimp, spring roll....will be back, get the pineapple custard bun, excellent!!!!
We went on a really busy Friday night. There was a reunion or gathering of some sort where the staff was just doing a phenomenal job at making sure that the large group was taken care of, but that also their regular customers/diners who were just there for dinner were also being taken care of. We were really surprised and expected to have a long wait just based on hearing the many demands that big group had (we were seated right by the kitchen), but it was super quick. The food tasted great! I would definitely recommend eating dim sum here! Great food and staff overall
One of the best dim sum places in Las Vegas. Has been my go-to spot on Spring Mountain Road for years. It’s such a great place that offers authentic Chinese food. Wide selection of hot and fresh dim sum, desserts brought around the room on carts. Absolutely delicious and tasty!!! The price is reasonable compare to other dim sum restaurants in town. Weekends usually get pretty busy but the wait is never too long. The only problem is hard to get the server around the table. They tend to forget easily after they talk to me or mostly it takes a while for them to get back to my table. I totally understand how busy they are but it would be nice if they could pay more attention to their customers. Anyway...it doesn’t really bother me at all because their food is always amazing, never get disappointed when I eat there. Definitely recommend it!!!!!
This restaurant is a bit far from the Strip. It is about 1 hour ride by bus and I needed to change bus. I expect this restaurant to be really really good and I was thoroughly disappointed. # 1- dim sum was barely hot or room temperature. # 2- terrible service. - No one even bother to come and asked me if I needed anything. I have to take the initiative to ask for everything. # 3, The price was a bit higher than Yum Cha Restaurant. # 4- the food- so so. I can’t say that they are tastier than other dim sum restaurants. # 5- varieties of dim sum. The varieties appear to be less than Yum Cha Restaurant.
Comparing this and Yum Cha, Yum Cha easily deserve my return business. I don’t think I want to come back to this restaurant. again.. The owner really need to train their staff better and hire more waiter and waitresses.
The dim sum is alright for the price. I like how they automatically bring you chili oil and soy sauce without having to ask for it. My husband always wants soy sauce and sometimes we have to wait forever for it. I didn't really care for the shrimp peanut dumpling it has too much dough and it doesn't seem to be cooked all the way through. The beef noodle roll is mostly just noodle with very little beef. They ask you what you would like to drink in the beginning and I always get hot tea. Hot tea is only $0.50 per person which is really nice but I do think they should have the a/c going. Majority of the people in there are drinking hot tea so it felt very hot in the restaurant. They also have a menu with pictures on it just in case you don't know what you're ordering. My favorite thing was the egg custard tart. I always make sure to order the egg tart for dessert every time I get dim sum...
After waiting for one hour, I think the food was ok but some items are too pricy such as tofu pudding for $6 plus tax and tip. Me and my partner end up paying $115 for lunch there. $56/ person is the most expensive dim sum we have ever had in US plus Uber ride to get here from the strip. Don’t think we will be back again.
Food was okay.
I'm disappointed that they don't have dimsum carts. To order dimsum you check what you want on a sheet, then they bring everything to your table all at once.
We were seated by the fish tank which has dirty black edges that damped our appetite.
I thought the food was middle of the road standard dim sum. The custard bun they're apparently known for, however, was delicious. I could see myself ordering it by itself from time to time.
The dim sum was good. Open atmosphere, decent customer service. This was our first time trying dim sum, looking forward to coming back!!
This restaurant is one of a kind.
This is because Jo Jo, the owner /
operator, is one of a kind. She has
healthy doses of savy charisma, a
no nonsense business acumen,
and a heart of gold.
As you near the entrance, the
artwork and decorations transport
you to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Garden is a complete
experience; and a great meal is
prepared and served along the
way.
Each item I had was a first for me.
This is not normal, I like to eat
food I know I'd like.
Again, I attribute this to Jo Jo's style, open up to new experiences, enjoy and
don't worry.
Just open the menu and select an item from all the categories. The food is
served family celebration style.
Step outside and you are back in
Las Vegas.
loved this place since i was a kid. foods always stayed the same, best quality shumai ive ever had! the employees today were super helpful with my to-go order.
Was craving for dimsum on a Tuesday morning and most places are open at 11am. Good thing they open earlier than that so we drove there. Everything is good 👌 been here during dinner and other dishes are good too …
Very clean restaurant! Lots of servers and they’re pretty friendly. Prices are good too. The lunch specials are really delicious and the portions are nice.
Dim sum is also very good there too. Happy the place is reopened with new management.
Our favorites are the dim sum, vegetables, roasted duck, bbq pork, and Chinese veggies.
Wanted Dim Sum when I was in town and I've tried a handful of the top ones listed on Yelp. So, Hong Kong was next on my list.
Only a few miles away from the strip which is a plus and lots of parking too. Clearly this is a popular restaurant because people kept coming in.
When you walk in someone will greet you and take you to a seat. Left side has a view with large windows and the right side is just regular looking dining room.
Push carts going by fast and keep in mind some do not speak English.
Great selections for Dim Sum.
Although service was fast, my shumai was cold. I get it that they push the cart around and it can get cold but that was my only disappointment. I still ate it.
Prices are reasonable and not overly priced.
I will definitely return and recommend this place.
As a big DIMSUM foodie, this place was a great find. If you are ever around Spring Mountain Rd give them a try. Not sugar coating but their food was better than Ping Pang Pong on Flamingo Road. We ate here twice already and also do take out as well.
The service was good... The wait wasn't too long... And it was Hong Kong style dimsum. The food was a little inconsistent... I guess the plates that were popular were picked out quickly and consistently warm and fresh out of the kitchen. The less popular stuff that floated around ended up cold... Hard... Chewy...kind of like day old leftovers.
Not bad not amazing but it was cheap eats.
Great dimsum place. Your typical service, nothing great and slow but the food was good. The shumai was plump and juicy, shrimp rice rolls were perfect, really good chicken feet. The special turnip in XO sauce was amazing.
It's the best dim sum in Charlotte, the location is a bit sketch, run down exterior, but the food is good, and it's worth it if you want traditional dim sum
Fast service and good food quality!
Hong Kong Garden is an OK place for dim sum with super reasonable prices. It's definitely one of the cheapest dim sum restaurants I've ever eaten at. I ordered enough food to feed 2 people and the bill came out to be less than $30. The dim sum offerings are a hit or miss though and range anywhere from meh to pretty decent. The hargow (steamed shrimp dumplings) was pretty bad. The dumpling skin was thick and hard. I'm thinking they just weren't properly steamed...maybe it was an off day for them. The shumai (steamed pork & shrimp dumpling) was okay though. I liked the chicken feet - nicely marinated with pretty good flavors. I felt pretty whatever about the tripe and the xiao long bao (soup dumplings). The tripe was a bit on the bland side and the xiao long baos were just...flat. The pan-fried turnip cakes were standard so no complaints there. The shrimp rice rolls were good as well.
Omg their dimsum portions are BIG. I love it. It does take some time to get your dimsum since you order then get your food instead of receiving it right away from the carts, but I definitely want to go back to try some their regular dishes since their simple dimsums are delish
Really great place to grab some quick dim sum. The food was great along with the price. I was seated fairly quick and did not have to wait. The ladies handing out the food were very generous by replacing cold food with fresh. Although, there english was not fluent, they did their best to descriptively give details on every dish. I understood all of them and they were super helpful. Highly recommended
First time I brought my parents for Dim sum, and they absolutely loved it. I've had dim sum before but this was way more authentic and delicious.
Pretty good and tasty chicken feet. Chinese broccoli are also good. Just a couple of fried dishes are okay because it’s pretty cold. Fried dish are best when tasted hot and fresh or at least kept hot for the crunchy feel instead soft, that would defeat the purpose of frying. Service was good, and just point to what kind of dim sum you want if you don’t speak Chinese.
Dim sum was very tastey. I was impressed at Hong Kong Garden Seafood . Even the desserts.
Great dim sum, fast service & delicious food. Great for a big group of people
We have been going here for years and the food is delicious but today we picked up some food and it was packed incorrectly. The soupy dish was placed on top of the fried rice and the liquid seeped into the fried rice below. The soupy order should have been placed on the bottom or better yet in a separate bag. The napkins were all soggy as well as the chopsticks they gave us. They should train the staff better on how to pack orders to go. Thanks
Every time I visit Vegas this is the only dimsum place that I like . My favorite Here are : xiu mai, egg cream cake , fried noodle , fried shrimps.
Fast, hot/delicious dim sum, great service, and average prices. Plus, they are open most of the day. My new favorite dim sum place in Las Vegas so far and I recommend it!
I rarely rate 5 stars to dim sum places but this is it!
The service is so fast and good. ( even though they don’t speak English well, they are not rude ). Also, the taste is AMAZING. I thought it’s gonna be so expensive because of the taste and so many authentic and varieties of dim sums in this place, but it’s so CHEAP than other mediocre places!!!
Def recommend this, if you’re thinking of dim sum, just go there haha!
Very nice place for dim sum except the parking space is limited. There is some extra parking space available on the west side of the square. During holidays season it is very busy and you will anticipate long waiting time. The food is authentic. The food on the food cart could be cold some time. But you can ask for fresh one. The tea is complementary and I normally ordered jasmine. . Service is above average.
Great dim sum and the egg custard is really delicious. I could taste the butter. The parking space is very limited. Next time, when we come to Las Vegas, we will come back for sure.
More authentic rather than American Chinese food. Many full tables and groups of nationals to endorse their delicious fare. Been there more times than I can count.
Great dim sum for lunch! So many options to choose from. BBQ pork buns are so good. Fried salt and pepper squid is delicious, my kid ate it up!
5 star on the food
They don't have the hot carts rolling around anymore, likely new covid protocols.
Now they have a menu with pictures. Great thing is the menu has more stuff then what I knew so I ordered more food. YUM YUM!
Sad part is its smaller then pre covid. They closed the south room which just means a longer wait. Loved this place pre and now post covid.
For the past decade, We use to go at least 2-4x a month. Now maybe 1x a year. Only when we have a real craving. Not as affordable as it used to.
This place is so delicous!!!! First come first serve! Haven't had anything I don't like yet. They have BBQ pork pie which is always fire and so many other other dim sum staples!! Weekends are slammed expect to wait!
I like that its opened late and the pork buns were delicious, BUT that's where it pretty much ended. Ok, I did enjoy the salt and pepper chicken wings too. The other offerings were a little less than ok. The real situation that mad me uncomfortable was a private room that had other patrons who were shouting in a manner that I thought a fight was about to break out. When someone did finally step out, he tripped slightly and deduced that they were drinking pretty heavily. He went back in and then brought his friend out. Holdin him up to walk out they both crashed to the floor in the middle of the dinning room. Everyone is now looking and they climb back to their feet and stumble out. Food at best ok, atmosphere at best is sketchy.
Loved fresh dim sum served in a few minutes only. Friendly staff and great price! 60$ only for 4 pax!
The food was good, I would have liked the baked buns to have been baked a little longer as the bottom was raw dough, but the noodles, bbq pork, and potstickers were incredible and the service was fast and friendly.
Fast service and yummy shu mai and rice cake. But, not as good as some other dim sums in Vegas.
Amazing Chinese food with a selection of over 300 dishes on their menu. Friendly service too.
If you want authentic Hong Kong style dim sum, got to try this place, one of the best in Vegas, the fry chinese dough wrap in a thin rice roll, see picture below, is a Bomb, not that many places make it, it is not on the cart, you have to get the server to order it for you..must try..also the beef brisket over rice roll is good too...😆 …
Nice taste of canton foods
I love their Dim Sum here! I have been coming here since I was a kid with my family, when it used to be known as Kathy's House. I absolutely love their TEAS here it has a very fresh taste and it goes good with anything you order to eat. They also have different sodas, bobas, etc to drink. Everytime we come here we always order Pork Ribs even when there is no Dim Sum. It's juicy with a little bit of spice with the jalapenos and sweet with pumpkin pieces. The noodles during Dim Sum are the BEST! If your sick and want to go out to eat I would recommend you get the beef rice soup. It was prefect me it wasn't greasy and it's very Delicious! Their deserts are always good! My favorite is the coconut bread and coconut jello. I would say that is their best desert.
Ever since I introduced my mom to my friend's parents, she's been coming here weekly for dim sum with them. I went a few times as well and really enjoy it. The food is great. Great service, especially for an Asian restaurant. Love that they have huge windows on one side and the place is spacious overall. A great choice for an authentic dim sum experience.
Good dim sum with decent price! It always serve fresh even if you come at night
Do not order their seabass! They serve you seabass collard, which is dry, hard and no taste! It was not honestly stated on the menu!
The place was nice and big. We went for dinner, but ordered dim sum. Not sure if it's because of the timing, the dim sum weren't as good and detailed as what we had next door at New Asian BBQ 新松記. The only one we found better than New Asian BBQ was 叉燒腸粉. The portions were big though and staff was friendly.
Yummy authentic Chinese food, they serve dim sum here in the afternoon here too, although its good, ping pang pong is still my favorite. Come here for noodles and stir fry, also their is complimentary soup.
Great food, Low Price.. Tea & Rice are free. Lobster salad is the bombdotcom.
Good food fast and average service the eeg fish salt and pepper is so great. Recommend
Hong Kong Garden food was Amazing and the service was great! We really enjoyed the dining experience!!!
Saigon nho
Food was delicious. They open at 9am.
The dimsum was very tasty. Will come back again when I'm in town.
So delicious food, the color, smelling and tastes are all very good, and the service is very friendly and the atmosphere is very good.
Great food, just need to check about seating. Restaurant gets busy during certain times of the day and week. Long wait times for those periods.
Went on a Monday so it wasn’t too busy. Traditional dim sum style restaurant with food being rolled around every table showing what the food was, which made having things to eat quick!
We visit frequently for their dim sum. Their baked bbq pork buns are yum! Service is a little slower but food is just as great when ordering take out.
They have pretty good dim sum!! It's a bit busy but the staff is quick to attend to our needs. Pricing is fairly cheap, the have lots of good options to choose from. The baked pork bun is so good! I also recommend trying the rice noodle roll with beef! Try this place out!!
This place used to be packed but the restaurant that opened a strip away has been getting a lot of their customers away, so lucky us for no wait time! Highly recommend their fish soup (which sounds strong but not! It's not creamy like a chowder and more like eggs and vegetable soup than fish! you should try this with a dash of red vinegar sauce) we were a fan of their general TSO chicken and fried rice and flat rice noodles
The food was excellent,we liked it a lot, but when the time comes to visit the men's restroom the quality went way down 👎 it was in really bad shape and this is the only reason to give ⭐⭐⭐ from ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. As a waiter that I am the most important place besides the table to be clean and the food to be delicious THE RESTROOMS has to be CLEAN Always for the money which you pay for dining. Thanks for your attention and will check your quality next time again!!!
The dim sum was really quite good. I wish I had a bigger appetite when I arrived so I could have tried a greater variety.
Service was friendly, though there was a bit of a language barrier with the cart servers at times.. but not something hard to overcome if you're familiar with dim sum selections.
The only real drawback was that it was quite loud so it was difficult to hear people across the table (8 person round table).
This may be my new favorite dim sum spot.
Good authentic Chinese food.
Dim sum flavor is authentic. Great seletion of food. Staffs are attentive.
Best dim sum I've had in a while.
Super great food!! Will definitely recommend to everybody!!
Since moving down to California we’ve been itching for a dim sum binge and during this weekend venture down to Vegas, what better idea would there be than to start loosening our drawstrings with a Cantonese feast? The aesthetics and the service isn’t exactly what you’d expect at a dim sum spot, they weren’t pushing carts when we came down and I’m not sure if they actually ever do. The dishes all range from $4.50 to $9.00 for your standard traditional pickings. Food got to us quick, and everything came out steaming hot and fresh. Food quality was okay, noteworthy items were the dumplings and the tripe. The chicken feet was disappointing, not quite tender enough nor was there enough black bean flavor in it. Overall, eh. It was decent enough for us to be satisfied and left happy but nothing close to one of our favorite spots.
The food here is amazing!!!
Food was good. Price was great! My husband and I were full and it was only $35!
Service delightful, food nice and hot. Very clean atmosphere and restrooms.
Had a meetup there. 10 people attended. Everyone was more than happy with their meal. Good service, good price and good food. Expect to go back for more. Massive menu. 324 items. If you can't find anything to eat, I don't know what to say.
Food was very good, service was excellent and we will go back again
This spot is great . Came here when they opened at 10am. Went for dim sum. Everything was great and flavorful. Excellent service. The man who sat us, made sure we were taken care of. The staff was very polite. They always made sure our table was clean. we never had to wave anyone down for food. When food was coming out hot from the kitchen they offered it to us. The roast duck is huge and perfect!!! I recommend this place. With covid going on I feel like their doing their best to keep everyone safe. I also like how there bathroom is super clean !! This is important.
There was seven of us at dinner and we all ordered different things to share! Service was very good, food was served hot and promptly! Also everything was very good and plentiful! We'll be back in the near future!
First off food was excellent but the dim sum was mediocre, soup dim sum was dry, shrimp pork hash was ok , rice noodles were good. The rest of the food like roast duck, roast pork fried rice & chow funn were delicious.
Great taste, authentic. Probably the best in Vegas. Absolutely coming here again next time I'm in Vegas.
Food is ordered off menu now but some of the steamed items came out not very hot.
Great tasting food! Ask for Amy. Also, make sure your chopstick skills are up to par.
Really great food and great price, fast courteous service! Highly recommend this place. I am extremely reserved when it comes to compliments for business standards. This one gets a four star from me.
They have the best Dim Sum! Every dish has a good flavor that it just tastes really good! Our favorite dish is their potstickers. We have tried others restaurants but none of them come close to theirs! The service is always fantastic and their food is just really good at a good price!
Well seasoned dim sum. Definitely scratch my itch for Hong Kong style food. Today wasn't very busy so I guess they weren't pushing the carts which I guess during a pandemic is a good idea. I do wish that the chicken pork deep fried gluten is rice balls over crispier and with oil inside. But I'll know quick service and good food.
Loved the food and the price is fair enough. Will definitely recommend to visit.
The steamed shrimp & pork dumplings are our favorite!
Great dimsum.. Cantonese menu.. Yum!
We, party of three went there for early dinner yesterday. We ordered 7 dishes. Pork chops in peijin sauce is particularly tasty. All of the other dishes are delicious as well. We ended up bringing a lot of leftovers home for the next day. We usually go there for dim sum. But dinner was delicious. We enjoyed very much. Service is good enough. Definitely go back for dinner again!
Lots of choices! We drop in most times when in Las Vegas; service is good; food very tasty with a wide variety of items. Dim Sum is enjoyable.
Ridiculously huge menu with a massive variety of Chinese dishes, many not seen from other restaurant's offerings. Delicious exotic and traditional ethnic meats and seafood, too. Wonderful selection of soups, noodles, specialty dishes, each cooked to order. Best lamb chops I've ever had in my entire life! Very tasty plate-sized Egg Foo Yung. Their house soup is fantastic. They know how to perfectly cook calamari, too. Great place to impress friends, family, co-workers at reasonable prices. This place fits the bill. We are repeat customers!
If you like Dim Sum Chinese food then this is a really great place to soothe that savage beast. The prices are moderate and the service is typical per the venue, very fast, hurry up and finish mill type of push you through NEXT. The food on the other hand was very good. The delivery carts come around often and have a great assortment and a very good authentic Dim Sum flavor. I guess they couldn't be too bad since there were a large group of many Chinese people enjoying the familiar eats. The flow of the chaos works very well for a restaurant like this and the servers were very helpful as I looked around to see how the other patrons were being served. The restaurant also serves traditional Chinese entrees that won't disappoint.
We love eating here and plan to bring the family with us next time.
The dim sum is delicious, I've eaten at many places in multiple states and this is one of my favorite places to get dim sum. You don't have to order a whole lot because the food will fill you up fast!
* They can get a bit busy so sometimes you may have to wait a little, but honestly it's not a big deal!! People complain too much about a small wait. Just enjoy yourself and the amazing food!
The food was ok but the service was lacking. Maybe that's due to COVID but I've never experienced that at a Dim Sum restaurant. The service staff at most are usually hustling to get you seated, fed and out the door to turn the table over. This place wasn't even bringing tea to the table. Several tables had to get up and ask for tea.
I would recommend Orchids Garden over this place. Same quality of food but better service.
The restaurant needs to be thoroughly cleaned and updated. Some of the dim sum we had were good, like steamed shrimp rolls, tripe, egg tarts but some other dishes were poorly done like shou mai. Mixed experience and not sure if we would care to return.
Fantastic Dim Sum and great service!!
Dim Sum was good. It opens at 9 AM, earlier than other Dim Sum restaurants.
Happy to have found this jewel in Las Vegas. Went to several dim sum places. This by far had the best service with their friendly staff, and food is delish! Hong Kong Garden Seafood also offers wine selection, sake and more. This will be a permanent stop for us each Vegas trip. Went to one who served us a cold pork belly and offered to heat up in microwave when I told them about it.
The majority of the food was good, ordered a roast duck and the skin was not crispy, Hong Kong style chow mein and the noodles wasn't crispy, the congee was not seasoned properly. However, the chow fun, garlic green beans, Chinese broccoli, salt and pepper pork and tofu was good. They had all day dim sum which was cool but was not worth it. Small batch dim sum is not the way to go. Best dim sum is at high noon and the restaurant is bustling.
I am a regular customer here. I cannot recommend a better place for Hong Kong style Chinese food. Prices are very reasonable and portion size is generous.
I almost always order the salt and pepper fish filet plus one other thing. I usually come later at night, and I love that they are open past midnight.
This place doesn't pretend to be something that it isn't...Great old school style with some excellent wok masters.
I've eaten here at least 50 times, and will continue to long into the future as long as they keep up the good work 👍.
Did not have dim sum but the food was good.
Good place good food but very crowd 😀
Tasty foods and reasonable prices. But my rental car got broken into in the parking lot, and it apparently happens a lot in this region... smh
Quality, tasteful and fast! I'll be back!
Great food! Slightly pricey.
Totally forgot to take pictures of the dim sum... so delicious! Good amount of options and extremely tasty.
Some of the best dim sum I've had in a while. My husband and I came here close to closing but the staff was extremely kind, accommodating and professional. The gai lan (Chinese broccoli), many of the shrimp dim sum and other entree items were so delicious. This is a perfect spot if you are an avid dim sum goer.
Recomended place for asian food. Try blood pudding And dim sum.
Dim sum is reasonable and not too pricey. Recommended if around area!
A menu you dont understand but its totally worth just buying it all
Phenomenal!! Definitely going back!! Had the kung pao shrimp, walnut shrimp and a calamari appetizer, but menu so large and many "authentic" items that definitely need to go back and try more. Saki selection was also extensive. Overall experience was great!!
The food was great and service was decent but their phone was giving me a headache!! I wanted to reach over and unplug the phone several times while trying to eat my lunch. We were seated by the window and ofc the phone was on the windowsill ringing away. They really need to hire someone just to take their calls especially on a busy day like mother's day...just my honest opinion.
Service was slow. No "quality checks". Food was warm, not hot. Ordered 3 dishes with shrimp. Two dishes had 2 medium sized shrimp per dish! No more. 3rd dish had 6 shrimp but very hot....peppers. Menu prices too high. Doubt I'll be back.
Great Peking Duck and Delicious Barbecue Pork. If you dine in, expect a surprise on the pricing of the barbecue pork and the peking duck. The dim sum was delicious and was inexpensive. We ordered 6 dishes of dim sum and they cost less than the single dish of sampler portion of barbecue pork and peking duck. It was may be a 1/4 pound of pork and 1/4 of the duck. All food tasted good. We enjoyed it.
Authentic Chinese dim sum
Could be a bit more clean
Check take out orders for accuracy
This is going to be my favorite authentic Cantonese food in Las Vegas. The fried whole fish (flounder) was perfectly fried. The beef chow-fun was spot on. Two ladies with dim sum carts walk around and the selection was ok. Ordered a couple of pork dumplings and it was pretty good. The price is very cheap - Fried whole fish, Beef chow fun, steamed rice, and an order of dim sum all for a little over $20!. Oh and the service is pretty good for a Chinese restaurant standard. The waiters were attentive and spoke English just fine. The food came out right away and was fresh and newly cooked. This place is a gem.
Standard dimsum offering in a relaxed atmosphere. No push carts so you order from the menu and there are photo menus for newbies. Def nice for Vegas to have a dimsum joint that opens at 9 am.
Excellent food for the price and so far one of the best dine-in services around town. The menu has varieties of stir-fried Chinese dishes, which do not take long to cook. We always eat here as this place never fails. Highly recommended.
Went here for dinner with my siblings while in Vegas. I got the sweet and sour fish. I really enjoyed it. My brother got the peppered beef and my sister got the seafood rice. Everyone liked their dishes. I also ordered the braised tofu and vegetables. I did not like whatever sauce they used and neither did my siblings. We were given free tea, complimentary soup and free dessert. The aesthetic was cozy and comfortable. I also wanted to say that the wait staff spoke English and understood us when we spoke since some reviews indicated that they didn't speak English. Overall it was good and a fair price for Vegas, plus they're open very late. I would have given 5 stars if the tofu had been better.
Dim Sum was really good and at a great price. Service was ok
Food, service and price is just ok. We checked one dish on menu paper which they did not have, but nobody told us anything until we asked about it. Deep Fried Yam (Zha yu jiao) tastes no good. Beef Shank (Niu Jian) looks too red for me. Char Siu in Rice noodle roll is dry. The rest of dishes are good.
Great price before 5pm, dim sum all day, tasty, great TV showing continue of their kitchen cooking, WISH THEY OPEN IN N. CALIF, I would go every week!
Long line to get a table. A few carts came out but these days it's mostly dim sum ordered on a sheet and brought directly to your table. The dishes were hit and miss on flavor and texture.
Great place for DimSum was craving some this place was recommended food was delicious lots too choose from
Authentic dim sum. Must visit
Freaking good Chinese food and the price was super reasonable. I will definitely be back. Also, this sounds super whiteboy american...but you will probably not regret getting the general Tao's. Best I have had west of the Mississippi no joke. Everyone at the table loved it. Has some kick to it! But every dish we got was actually great and we tried a bunch. Super nice friendly service and quick! Normally I don't hear this much praise from me. My friends consider me "hard to please" so yeah. Give it a shot.
Great Dim Sum, Porridge and service was excellent. Friday night busy and service certainly didnt skip a beat. Tea served at hello, within minutes we were getting our orders, never felt rushed or a hindrance. Food very tasty and well prepared fresh. Will continue to return for next cravings. Huge menu so plenty to return for.
Food is phenomenal but the service is not there, at all. Lol. Don't bother with the phone, they are super busy and let it ring. We waited 20 minutes for boxes and the check and they missed part of our order that we thought we were waiting for. I can't ignore the quality of the food for the price.
Viewed on its own, this place is okay for dim sum. The prices are, for the most part, fair, and they do cover the most basic of dim sum items. It's a good place for locals who don't feel like driving the extra couple of miles to get better dim sum elsewhere.
That said, they lack a lot of variety, and during the few times I've visited, the same couple of carts, with the same couple of items, were being wheeled around over and over. In addition, part of the seating (especially the seats in their expanded dining room) can be cramped, and the place can get loud, even for dim sum locations.
If you can, I'd recommend other dim sum venues in town (the ones in Rio and Gold Coast comes to mind). They offer more variety and better environment for a slightly higher price point. For locals who just want cheap, basic dim sum, this place fulfills that purpose quite well.
Really, really good food!!! This is one of my favorite places to eat. It's also nice that they are open till 6am in the morning. So if you get the late night munchies, you can always get something here. The atmosphere is very casual and for the most part you can do whatever you want. The night time crew is always the same. They "short talk" and speak in short phrases. It might appear to be kind of rude. But I don't know if that's just they way they are. The daytime crew is different and much more polite. Even with this shortcoming, I still give them 5 stars because the food makes it all better!
My family I had dim sum here around 10am on a Saturday and there wasn't a wait. You'll get the typical dim sum experience with cards rolling around with the usual fair.
My mom enjoyed the food and appreciated the reasonable price of ~$45 for 3 people/ 10+ dishes. If mom is happy, you know how it is.
Food was honestly okay. There wasn’t any dishes that stood out to me. For how much the bill was it wasn’t worth the price.
We went for the midnight special and tried their dim sum items. Very good custard buns. No pictures, but the restaurant looks a lot nicer on the inside. Would recommend to family and friends. Also, being open very late is a plus!
Bring cash!!! Dim sum staff was friendly. It was family friendly. My husband and our baby boy had a nice time. The food was good. My only complaint is that they charge a 4% fee for paying with card instead of cash.
I especially love how even though a lot of their food dishes are culturely "authentic", they have many of the popular and favorite Chinese dishes as well. Most of the dishes come family style, so that makes it great for sharing. But my favorite thing about the restaurant is they are open until 6am! This is great for nightclub goers who are hungry after the club. And the rice and hot tea are free, too. If you go early in the day (before 3 pm), there are rolling dim sum carts roaming around with great tasting food. Tell the lady which ones you want.
One of best local Chinese restaurants. They serve dim sum for lunch(till 3 pm),the other times, you may order limited choices from the certain itemed dim sum. However, the best part is that they offer late night menu after 9 pm,with a low fair dishes. Menu is extensive, the portions are slightly less than the regular priced menu.,food are just as tasty. This is an often go place for us,especially,we can just ease in without worry it will close soon till 6 am.
My in-laws favorite Chinese restaurant. It is good. We come here a lot. I love their house special chicken. The ginger garlic sauce is like crack. Their Mandarin pork chops, when made crispy, is finger licking good.
They also have late night special after 9pm menu items are half off.
We like their dim sum very much/total variety/ taste and portion are enough/especially glutinous rice chicken buns and siu mai\ very good
Pretty solid dim sum place. Food is pretty good, and it's fresh too. Overall, it's a nice place to grab some dim sum if you're craving it.
Great place for Dim Sum as well as dinner. Expect a bit of a wait if you go for Dim Sum on the weekend but it moves along pretty fast and the food is well worth the wait. Authentic food and the wait staff are very friendly and at your beck and call. My wife and I are in the process of moving to Las Vegas permanently and of the 3-4. Chinese restaurants we've trird so far Hong Kong Gardens is our favorite place to eat my wife is from China and knows good Dim Sum and this is a great place to eat authentic Chinese food I give them 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nice cozy place. Good Dim Sum.
First time here for dim sum, very nice Cheung fan with shrimp, pineapple bun (baked), steamed spare ribs, nice pork and aged dark egg congee. Service is good and price are reasonable. Recommend for visitors to try dim sum in Las Vegas.
Must try! Awesome food, affordable prices, excellent service. The place is bright, clean, spacious with lots of smiling and satisfied diners. I ordered Kung Pao beef and the meat was very tender (not grisly or too fatty) and they made the spiciness perfect for my taste. They also brought me hot tea, white rice and hot beef broth, I guess it comes with my order. I will definitely come back. Highly recommend!!
Been wanting to come here for a while but never got around to it. I'm so glad I finally decided to stop by. Ordered a bunch of things off the dim sum menu and everything was great. Definitely will be returning.
Went for dim sum last Sunday. The dim sum we ordered was pretty good, but the place seemed like they were missing a lot of the standard dishes. Maybe we were on the early side because it didn't seem like all the dishes were coming out until we were about to leave. I was also sad that I didn't see any rice noodle rolls (cheong fun?) on the carts.
We came for a dim sum brunch and it was everything I hoped for. It was full with a steady crowd (I think we were the only nonlocals), but we had our own nice space and got seated quickly. We got hot tea and a bunch of different dishes that the ladies would wheel around on their carts and offer you. Very authentic and next time I'm in Vegas I'll come again!
Food is excellent here, as is service. I really enjoyed the spicy Kung Pau Chicken. Wait staff was very attentive. I was surprised how few diners were present on a Saturday evening.
The people thought i was Chinese and keep speaking Chinese to me had no idea what they were saying food was good
This is a family favorite. So many items to select from.
Been coming here for nearly 3 decades, changes owners a few times, but rightnow its pretty good! I always bring my friends and family there when they're in town or for holidays.
For COVID19 situation they removed the push cart style (bummer but completely valid). We had to order from a menu card instead. The spacing isn't bad. The staffs all wore their face mask and glove.
Decent service. The food here is better than Dim Sum Cafe. Baked pork buns are stuffed not empty. Dim sum are excellent.
The dim sum is really reasonably priced. There is a lot of variety in their items and most importantly you can still eat many things if you're not a huge shrimp fan. Servers are helpful without being too pushy. Drink servers could step their game up, but the dim sum servers always seem to be willing to go above and beyond.
One of the best Chinese places we've tried in Vegas. We came with a small group and ordered many dishes to eat family style. Everything was delicious (recommend the salt and pepper pork and the beef in black pepper sauce) Staff were very friendly and service was great. We will be back!
Wonderful selections of dim sum. The best part it's available all day. Big dishes are also delicious.
One of the best dimsum places in town. They served the typical dimsum items and some specialty items. If you don't see the items you want on their push carts, you can ask the wait staff to order for you. Prices are reasonable and the place is quite clean for a chinese restaurant. Service was very slow!
Pretty solid chinese food and open late, 6am for you late night casino workers. Would give 4 stars but had to ding for cleanliness. Asked for a fork and she brought me a dirty fork. Unacceptable. Tea pot had heavy stains on the outside lid top area. Restaurant gets very busy but never an excuse for cleanliness.
Service was the typical way they do it in the Chinese culture. Food was ok. As the normal more authentic chinese restaurants they always use the cheapest cuts and scraps of chicken and meat. If you like that type of food good for you. Not really my type of restaurant.
Went for dim sum during late morning on a Sunday. Dishes were generally good with the rice noodle roll with shrimp being the weakest dish. The shrimp was fine, but the rice noodle roll itself was thicker and harder than it should be. Har gow, shu mai, chicken feet, spare ribs, turnup cake, tripe, and their deserts (various buns and the obligatory egg custard) were all solid. They also have special dishes like the clams and black bean sauce (flavor good, could be warmer), some veggie dishes, and congee, and you can supplement the dim sum with offering off their dine in menu. We tried their fried silken tofu with salt and pepper and it was delicious.
This is a noisy and boisterous place that is open late (until 6am). Service is not overtly rude--just no nonsense and can be a little gruff if you are not a native Chinese speaker. Prices are reasonable.
Overall, recommended if you want to meet a few friends for some good authentic Chinese food. Bring someone who can order some dishes off the Chinese menu and your experience will be that much better.
Best dim sum in town. Great service. If you feel you want a fresh dish of the cart they dont hesitate to go get a fresh one. Great prices as well for what you can eat and very good quality.
We love this place. Two separate rooms, carts everywhere, filled with a great mix of different Asian couples and families (and us). Our go to dim sum places, New Asian Barbecue down the block, Yum Cha on Jones and Tropicana, Harbor Palace on Spring Mountain and Valley View, and Orchids Garden on Lindell and Sahara. Great town for dim sum, all conveniently located.
We had the steamed flounder again, absolutely DELICIOUS & perfectly cooked!
Lotus root & loop Chong are another great dish!
Always get the house special pan-fried noodles, completes every meal!
Don't remember the names of the other dishes but everything tasted WONDERFUL! EAT here, you'll be happy you did!
This is a full service restaurant with a lot of sittings. It offers large selections of authentic Chinese delicacies from Dim Sum to popular savory dishes and choices of live seafood that all are within reasonable prices.
Nice variety of dishes to choose from as they are brought by your table on carts. It's a lot of fun. Easy to eat too much after you have chosen so many different foods. Helps to have a sense of adventure and be willing to try new things.
Service was great for it being the day we visited and awesome that they open at 9am. Food was all excellent and best sticky lotus rice I have had.
Grew up in Los Angeles and spent weekends in Chinatown. The food here is very good, not one dish was a disappointment, the selection wasn't as big as some grand tea houses, but the service was still very good. Although what was on the cart was somewhat limited I was able to order duck jaw, so with that, I'd assume you could probably get just about anything made upon request. This place easily out does the KJ inside the Rio in every way.
The food is actually pretty good, had some menu items and dimsum. That alone would have given this place a 4 for me, but the service brought it down to a 3. Service, unfortunately, was extremely slow and not that great.
To be fair, we came at an off time (around 3:30) and it seemed like they only had 2 servers for about 7 tables (only 1 server spoke fluent English which was tough as none of my party spoke Chinese). They were also dealing with an EXTREMELY difficult table next to us, which I can empathize with.
Moving on to my experience - ordering was easy, they have the standard ordering sheet for dim sum, along with a regular menu. The first round of food came out pretty quickly, maybe 15 minutes after ordering, and another round shortly after. About 20 minutes into the meal I realized we had not received all the dim sum we ordered, so had to ask 3 different people before I was told the rest was coming. One order came (after about a 20 minute break in food which was weird), but we still had not received the rest. Asked again, was told the dim sum was STILL cooking, so we waited another 20 minutes for it. By this time, it was getting pretty late so my party decided to call it and just pay for what we received. This took some time to resolve, as we had to track someone down to give us our check. After an hour and a half in total, without all we had ordered, we paid the check and left.
TLDR; Decent food, good dimsum. Slow service, not the best English but manageable.
So delightful to see a restaurant serving the Hong Kong style food in such a variety and great quality. It's worth five stars. Service, speed of the Dimsum coming out, and the taste were all excellent.
Formerly known as the Cathay house, I've been coming to this restaurant for decades. I'm glad the new owners still make this an easy place to get dim sum during the work week and that's the standpoint I'll be reviewing from.
HK Service: There's plenty of tables in the main dining room as well as the banquet room which they open up for additional seating when necessary. The staff gets you seated immediately after you enter. The Dim Sum carts are stocked well and the crew moved them well through the restaurant. If you were looking for something in particular, just wave one a cart down and they'd find the right cart to send over. Classic old school Chinese restaurant decor is what you'll find here.
HK Dim Sum: They have the classics and all the dishes I've had have been freshly made and pretty tasty overall. Here are my go to for business lunch Dim Sum meetings: Pork Bun, Shumai, Shrimp Rice Noodle, Shrimp Dumplings, Chinese Broccoli (to feel healthy af), Crispy Shrimp (with sweet mayo) and noodles for the side. Dessert orders: THe Sesame balls and the egg custard are my favorites. All the dishes I've sampled have been good overall.
Even during a weekday lunch rush, I'm able to get parties of 6+ seated quickly and the table full of yummy dim sum dishes quickly. This is the main reason why I visit frequently when dim sum is suggested at work. Enjoy! =)
They opened at 9am which is nice but there was still quite a queue. The waiting process was confusing and not clearly defined for new customers. The dim sum was fresh and good. The spareribs tender and juicy with plenty of flavor, the tripe delicate and just the right consistency cooked in Ginger broth and the chicken feet fresh and falling off the bone. All other dishes were to be expected (shumai, hakao, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce).
The staff was attentive and nice. No wait at Monday lunch time. The food was good. No issues with this business.
The parking lot was completely full. There are no disabled parking which was a first to see. The reserved parking was for the businesses for the building. For this reason it would be hard for me to go back.
Food is kind of okay, service is slow. You have to get their attention and ask for everything, like forks, small soup bowl with soup spoon. Not plan to go back there.
Great food! We always make it a point to cone eat dim sum here when we are in town.
The service is not good. The food is awesome. Your food will come out faster than anything else (water refills, asking for utensils, and your check).
Me and my family love this place great food. Always fresh . Go there.
One of the best Authentic Cantonese Dinner for locals. Unless you pick you live seafood this place is above average even amongst American and Canadian Chinatown. Waiter and waitress are friendly. The new location is as good as the original one on Jones Street
Taste great and reasonable price
Excellent Dim sum, the place was not crowded. We were there midweek. Their corn soup was excellent. Reasonable prices and tables were well separated.
HK Garden is a clean Chinese food restaurant in Las Vegas. Their waiters and waitresses look neat as they serve tables. All are pleasant and able to communicate well. This is our new favorite dimsum place.👍👍 …
There are several places for Dim Sum here in Las Vegas, we have been to almost all of them, this is one of the best in the Valley. It starts getting crowded around 11:30 Sunday morning, best to get there before if you do not want to wait, although the food is CLEARLY worth waiting for!!
The food was delicious I ordered several little appetizer type style dishes it was all good authentic the service was very good the price was good overall let's get back to eating Chinese Japanese Asian food
Driving past what seems like hundreds of other options as you go down Spring Mountain you may wonder if it's worth it. I say...yep. Huge menu of things I'll never try (goose intestines anyone?) but lots of tables full of Chinese eaters seem to be enjoying all the options. We stuck with some take-out classics for our 1st experience and enjoyed them all. Huge portions, great prices. I only have to take away a star because their website says they take AMEX and they don't so taking a client here on business will be more paper work... but I'll do it again everytime I'm in town.
Dim sum was pretty good and not greasy as some places can get.... Depending on how busy it is, service can be pretty bad.... The food carts are fine, but if u need a refill or anything else, good luck
Have been to Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Indianapolis and the like dim sum restaurants. Hands UP Hong Kong Garden Seafood is the BEST I've ever had for variety and overall quality. Almost all other dim sum restaurants have zero seafood standard dim sum beyond typical har gow, HKGS did such as baby clams. Plus they had standard gai lan vegetables (most other places special order and wait 20 minutes). The servers are more friendly genuinely than other dim sum restaurants most I've frequented (some are very snooty even if you are Asian too). OK, also the other good sign is A LOT of local patrons obvious so this place is a keeper as long as they don't change. Several in our party make is a point to visit this restaurant for dim sum every LV trip. This was second trip in this visit for a few in our party. #1 for variety, must check their menu - bar none else I've seen.
Our new favorite Chinese midnight meal place (Hong Kong style) in Vegas.
And, they have Dim Sum in the middle of the night. Where else can you find a meal for 4 and under $20? Really, if you know of a better place please let me know but this one is really authentic.
I compared it to dim sum in Atlanta and some items were comparable and some were just a little lacking in flavor. But overall a great dining experience.
Great dim sum. Other dishes are good as well, we really enjoyed the food.
The dim sum was great. We also ordered salt and pepper tofu and salted fish fried rice, both very good!
Great food! Fast to go!
Great dim sum, great service and affordable. Some of the best I've had in Vegas after living here for 3 years. Took a star away because some of the dim sum was barley warm. Still highly recommend though.
Great dim sum!
Just wish there was bigger shrimp in the fried rice. Other than that the food was good. First visit there.
The food here is great! You can get the typical Dim Sum selection as well as a few specialty items. The Dau Fu Fa was a bit grainy yesterday, however I've seen better quality before here. For the beef stomach dish she gave me way too much radish. Even after eating all the beef stomach I still had an overflowing bowl of radish left. The spareribs wad mostly bone, not much meat. The bread & pastry items were really good. I really enjoyed the dan tat. Very flaky and tasty. The har gau was ok. The skin was a bit thick but even so it still fell apart. The shrimp is very tiny in the cheung fan. The fried items are usually great.
Old style Cantonese Chinese food. Most of the dishes are very good and what you hope for in Chinese food. But the service is terrible. We were half way through our dinner before they brought the rice even after four requests.
Fanatic authentic food. Again and again. 😎 …
My wife loves chinese food and found out that they open 24 hours. After meeting after meeting we can here for some of their mid night specials. A large bowl of chinese porridge and other dishes served as our well deserved late night dinner snack. Good honest chinese food at a local not resort price.
Hands down my new favorite Dim Sum restaurant. Came across it by coincidence while working near the restaurant and finally got to try it. Service is fast, prepared, friendly, and always have what you need.
Fast service, good prices, however the dim sum was average, they don’t use eco-friendly containers and the vegetarian congee had meat inside when they told me twice it had no meat.
This place is off the strip but is well worth the cab ride or the drive. The food was amazing. They have all kinds of dim sum. I highly recommend you visit Hong Kong Garden and enjoy so good food.
The food is solid, the service is fast, and the staff is very accommodating. We love the snow pea leaves and always get the calamari and Peking duck. Delicious.
We have eaten here on and off for a couple of years. Food is excellent
It is a very busy plan, totally got the feel of being in an authentic Chinese dim sum place, just like back to China! The food is good. There was a wait line. But it is totally worth the wait!
Nice clean place. Dimsum servers doesn't understand English much but provided enough information if the dimsum was pork, chicken, beef or vegetables.they we're courteous. The place open earlier than other dimsum places. The variety of dimsum was basic
If you are an adventurous eater you need to go here! One of the best restaurants in Vegas. 3 of us ate our weights worth in dim sum and only spent $61! My photo is of round 1
I love eating at this place! The food makes me feel right at home like i’m in china ! I really recommend eating here and getting the cha sui pork buns
I come here with my dad every weekend, and the staff is always friendly to us. The food here is pretty good, and I always end up being full. If you wanna try this place, always go early. This place gets busy pretty quickly.
Large selection of all types of Chinese food. Kung Pao shrimp was hot, but had to many onions and could have been spicier for my taste. The General Taos chicken was outstanding, large pieces of chicken with just the right amount of spice. Service was good but decor needs cleaning and updating.
We were in Vegas last week, it was around 3am and after a night of festivities we were hungry, unfortunately most of the casino restaurants on the strip were closed for the night. Googled open restaurants near the strip and this purveyor of Asian delicacies was open until 6am. Just a short drive from the strip, located in the China Town area of the city, we had their Wor Wonton soup, kung pao shrimp, and shrimp egg foo young. Since this restaurant caters predominately to those of Asian decent, these dishes were prepared somewhat differenrt from what we have grown accustomed to. Food was good and service was okay although there was a bit of a language barrier as the employees all spoke their native tongue with very minimal knowledge of spoken English. All in all, not a bad place to catch an Asian meal given the circumstances.
Great Dim Sum at a great price! Don't over pay on the strip, come here. 5/5
Definitely better than average service compared to most authentic Chinese restaurants. The dim sum were on par to most Hong Kong places. Out in the desert here, that is saying a lot.
We love this place. Come here nearly every time in Vegas. Salt and Pepper shrimp is my fav. But we haven't been disappointed with anything.
The best dim sum in all of Las Vegas. Don't leave without trying the steamed BBQ pork bun. So good. The place was the best Chinese food in the city.
We love the buddha's feast. They open at 9am and close at 6am. This is a good place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also serve dim sum.
Very authentic dim sum. The gnau lam hor fun is out of this world
It was my first time going here. Service was take out. Not at all friendly. But the U gave a tip and she was happy. Not impress. The food was tasty.
Food was good, not thing super special though. Tea was kind of weak. Came too late for Dim Sum though, kind of upsetting. Lamb I got was bland, and there wasn't much of it.
It was great, everything I tried was great tasting. Fast Service great dim sum.
Decent tasting food. The pheonix claws is a missed opportunity.
Good dim sum variety...tasty & good priced. Owner friendly & helpful. Lots of parking, although full. Efficient service. Would definitely recommend.
If uve been drinking great place for dim sum n reasonably priced. When ur buzzing u wont be disappointed with their choices but if u on ur dim sum game u shouldn't be here.
Hong Kong style dimsum... The shrimp noodle thing could have been better... The rice noodles harden as it sits around too long. The people were friendly and service was quick...
Still my favorite location in Vegas for Dim Sum... their food, in general, is very good... I usually get the ginger scallion lobster from time to time... always amazing to dig into...
Pretty good, best dim sum prices for the quantity and quality, only needs more waiters
Im just always so disapointed because they only have dimsum early. Their other food is a nice variety with a huge menu, for example, they have pea shoots and sweet potatoe greens. So there is lots of variety but its sometimes good sometimes kinda blah...so i want to give half more of star but can't just now.
If you like Dim Sum and are o a lunch break or something this is a good place to go. Not the best Dim Sum in town, but it doesnt require you to go to a casino so thats a plus.
Service is decent. The restaurant is older so don't expect new decor. Quality food with great prices. Worth trying if you want authentic cantonese style food.
Very good Chinese restaurant which serves dim sum all day, along with a wide assortment of dishes. The service is good and wait time is not too long.
Great place for dim sum! I loved the rice noodle with Chinese donut inside!
Had some great late night dim sum at this place. Food and service were great, and i found the prices to be very reasonable
This place is off the hook. Don't even look at the menu, just take what you want from the cart. It's all good and I even brought some home for left overs. It didn't last long though because we ate all of it!
Nothing fancy, it's a dim sum place.
The siu mai and the siao long bao was really good !
The rest is still good, but I feel like something was missing.
Overall, it's good if you have a dim sum craving.
Dim sum ok..Sui Mai does not taste that good, everything else tasted ok. This is my 2nd time here, last time was better.
Service is a bit slow but the food is great!
Had lunch twice and once dinner. Great place, reasonable price, fast service, great authentic food Cantonese style with dim sum and dinner services, long hours too, also very spacious
Service is very slow here, but the food is decent with a wide variety to choose from. Wait times can be long. Make reservations if you can!
Popular Chinese. Restaurant for Dim Sum and Cantonese dishes.
Additional parking in back if you can spot the parking sign on street just past the Strip Mall.
Excellent genuine Chinese cuisine. Tasty. Good fresh seafood. Nice variety of dishes.
Good food, good price 👍 …
Great dim sum! I go here frequently with my gf and her family. Definitely a favorite. Always packed so go early. Parking can be a real pain.
Dim Sum is good, but the staff sucks at listening and they hate spending time at your table... Conveyer belt restaurant for sure! Get the food they give you, don't ask for anything and leave lol!
Chinese food was ok. The steam buns are the best thing you can order. Much of the other food was too salty. I'd go again for steam buns but I think there are other places you could go.
Solid dim sum: big selection, tastes great, price is reasonable, and atmosphere is good. New go-to place for dim sum in Vegas.
We came for Dim Sum and was disappointed with the food. The servers kept speaking to us in Cantonese/ Mandarin which was a little frustrating since we told them em couldn’t understand.
Great food, affordable! Dim sum served 9-5 only. Other menu items were also delicious. I recommend the vermacelli! Yum!
Great selection of dim sum. Served hot n fresh. Ordered take out for visiting party of 5.
Came here for lunch today.
Craving for dim sum.
Very crowded with customers and ladies pushing food carts.
So much selection.
This is the best place for dim sum in Las Vegas.........
Best dim sum so far in Vegas. Gotta try other places though but next time we go back this will be the place to go to.
Found this place last year and now an annual event. I grew up eating in Chinatown in NYC and my adult life eating in Chinatown in Seattle. This restaurant is amazing. Wish I could eat here more often.
Got to vegas on 6/17 everywhere was closed except this restaurant. It was 11pm they closed at 1am thankfully. Food was delicious and service was great.
Wife and I are from the SF Bay Area. OMG, you folks are so lucky to have a dim sum place like this. Everything is authentic and not one single order disappointed us. Definitely will be back!
This place has AMAZING Chinese food at amazing prices!! We were visiting Vegas and my wife wanted Dim Sum. We ate here twice the food was so good! I wish it was local!!!
Might be the best Chinese food restaurant I been to in Vegas. Try them out
During the week dim sum is served starting after 9p until the early morning hours. The service is quick and the food fresh.
The food here is legit. Its real Chinese food cooked by a chef who used to work at the Cosmopolitan VIP kitchen. Customer service could be better though. I like the food here a lot.
Took a while for are drinks and a waiter to come ask if we had been helped or not to big of a menu forsure food was good but just took a min for us to be helped in to order...
Busy busy place. Great food and service
This place has great dim sum. Very low key Chinese restaurant but it has some great tasting din sum if you are in the mood.
Excellent traditional dim sum, with the roving carts.
Fresh ingredients, nothing too greasy or overly seasoned. Highly recommended.
Love dimsum nice ambiance price wise ok good food love it
Yummy dim sum and Chinese food. They have a lot of items to choose from. Best time to go is before lunch to have access to the dim sum in lunch carts
Good dimsun, selection, good service
Very good food and nice staff. Fast service
General Tao Chicken was excellent!
They have good food and Dimsum
Another good place for Chinese food. Dim sum was decent, but prices a little on the high side.
Always a great eating experience. Food is good as always
The staff is the friendliest, but considering they are open so late, it probably gets crazy. The food is ok for late night food but the egg rolls are not good.
Had a great time. Food and service was good. Great food variety. Everything was severed hot. Everyone made us feel welcome.
If you show up during early dinner times you practically have the place to yourself. Great variety of menu items, dim sum open late.
Everything was good. Service was ok. No problems, but we will probably keep looking for higher food quality next time.
Very good experience, excellent service and the tastiest dim sum!
This place is one of my go to places if I'm craving Chinese food,The food is always good, big portions and reasonable prices.
Good dim sum and the food is fairly priced even if u dont get dim sum. A good everyday place to eat
HKG offers consistently the best dim sum in a sea of competitors! Excellent quality and service! Great value, highly recommend!
Good food but if you are not Chinese, you may not get preferred service. When my family went to there, we were the only ones who weren't Chinese, so they served complimentary dessert for other tables but not for us ☹️
Delicious food. Much I couldn't pronounce. I went at dinner time and missed the dim sum so I will definitely go back.
Good food. But the waiters are rude, unfriendly, and unattentive. Not even a hello. Get in get out shut up and eat kinda restaurant.
Good food and good price. Great place to have Dim sum in the weekend since it opens at 9:30am.
Great Food. Can't get enough coconut buns
This place was the highlight of our entire trip to vegas. Food is a phenomenal and very reasonable. A must go especially for the dim sum
By far the best Dim Sum in Las Vegas. Great select of variety of dishes. Prices are very reasonable too.
Food was good, service a bit slow but we did visit on Christmas day. Overall satisfied however with our visit here.
Food was super tasty here! This is a great dim sum spot.
Food alway pretty good 👍 at hong kong. Service could use a little bit more work. …
The food was ok. The service was good too
Haven't been in a while but it was still very good. They did seem to change a couple recipes that I wasn't too appreciative of but on most part it was good.
The best Dim Sum in town. Many varieties.
I like this place. Food is always good. It's really nothing special but my coworkers and I visit here whenever we come to vegas.
Classic style dim sum circa 1990. Has Bak tong gou (white sugar cake) which is rare now.
One of the best dim sum place, reasonable price, if you don't see what you like, just order from the menu.
my favorite chinese restaurant
Food was good but average. Nothing extraordinary but it was a good different experience. Bao was amazing.
The name my change but the dim sum is still great at this location.
So I give this place 5 stars Hong Kong Garden
I'm a regular here. Food is good and very reasonable along with great service. Popular with local Chinese open till 06:00. Reopens at 09:00.
Everything we had was good...and that's a white girls point of view. No idea what we had but it was mmmm good!
A great selection of dishes w reasonable pricing w free soup n dessert. Have a great dinner with family and service was superb!
Good place for dim sum. Prices are average and the food was good. Service is good. The dim sum selection was average as well.
My husband and i really enjoy stopping here when we pass through. I just wish they had the eggplant dim sum. Then it would be perfect.
Our 2nd time...a year ago. So far, we have enjoyed our selection. Will take pictures next time. We were just too hungry 😆 …
Dim sum was good especially after a long weekend in Vegas. Price was on point. I'd go back for more
Pre Christmas Lunch with my Family good place to eat some Dimsum. Kinda busy but its worth the wait.
