The seafood was delicious! So fun to sit by their large fish tank and watch the exotic fish go by as we ate. Our friend is in a scooter. They were so lovely. They let her drive it right to the table, they took it away when we ate then brought it back at the end. Thankful for their thoughtfulness.

The food was very good. Maybe priced a little bit high BUT I felt like the service was spot on so made up the difference. Our server was the kind you wished everyone was. It was nice to eat at this restaurant last week to celebrate my aunt's birthday and I cannot tell you the service we got was amazing our server sorry that I couldn't remember your name but a very sweet Mexican man who gave us a great experience at this restaurant took his time to take our order explained everything to me and not only that surprisingly came out with the candle and a cheesecake from my aunt so we could celebrate her birthday. I would definitely come back there again the food was amazing and service was #1 and the food was delicious. Thank you 😊

Large wedding party went for early dinner at Grotto Ristorante. Even with reservations, it took a bit to be seated and get our food order in. To be fair, it was a Saturday and restaurant was busy. Our waiter did a great job! The pasta and pizza just OK, with large portions. Prices are reasonable.

**updated 2/24/2020 The restaurant has been moved. It’s much smaller but the quality is still amazing. The only thing I have to complain about is that we had a party of 14 and everyone had their food as was eating 10 minutes before one of the kids (under 8) in our party received their chicken tenders. Not sure how it takes you longer for that then 13 adult meals but it happened. Other thing I would improve is having staff members (girl in a white coat with sleeve tattoos) should not reach across people eating to grab an empty plate in middle of dinner. Even with those minor hiccups I’m sure I’ll be back. It’s too good not to!! ** Original impression: The lasagna is to die for!!! The coffee is great and the service is attentive. Relaxed atmosphere and good location. We got to sit next to the pool and it was a wonderful donning experience.

3 1/2 Stars: Wanted pasta so we made reservations on a Saturday. The restaurant was busy but there were a few tables open. Service was ok. We had to ask a few times for water. No one was actually walking around and filling glasses as needed. We had waved our server down. Food: Carbonara- There was a fried egg on it which I prefer a runny yolk to mix in the pasta. In addition I prefer pancetta which there were a few pieces but my dish was topped with bacon bits. Not the worse carbonara I've ever had and not the best either. Bolognese with Angel Hair pasta- this was delicious. Great balance of flavors. Restaurant was nice and clean but would only return for the complimentary bread (because of the olive oil dipping sauce) and Bolognese.

I was looking for a nice spot to eat some great Italian food and ended up reserving a table here. The food was great and Jose was amazing ! He took care of us and made sure we got everything we needed. It happened to be a birthday night and he gave us a selection of all the desserts and cakes and made sure it was on house, which was above and beyond. The drinks and pasta here are a must. The plates of food are not huge but they do the job as they’re an adequate size and come packed with a great taste

I speak for all Americans, all Earthlings, a couple of Martians and a Venutian or two when I say that spaghetti is amazing! Oh my God! It could star in its own movie! You could put it on a magazine cover! Fans would put posters of it up on the walls of their rooms!

By far the freshest food inside the golden nugget! We had our best food experience in this restaurant during our week stay at the golden nugget. The restaurant is very clean and the staff was consistently amazing. Definitely a place for good Italian food.

Actually one of the best Ceasar salads ever. And the stuffed mushrooms and calamari were also very good here. However I really didn't care for this part of Las Vegas, it's in the old section just off Fremont street inside the Golden Nugget.

Private e believe it or not was great. Two of us ate a meal bowl of soup, huge bowl, and a dessert for 63.00. I thought it was a good price. The dessert was amazing. 5 inch thick cheesecake. Awesome. Thank you Geotto

Whenever I go to Vegas I go to The Grotto. No Grotto, no Vegas. Fremont street is always a lot of fun just watch out for the panhandlers and half-naked man babies but once you make it past them and stumble into the Golden Nugget you'll find yourself at a real Gem of an Italian restaurant that I award five stars with great sense of pride. An extremely friendly group of folks and delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere makes the grotto a must-see in Vegas!

Prices were reasonable and service was great, however the food wasn't. Our Caesar's salad was soggy and the lettuce was clearly not fresh and while our pasta dishes looked really appetizing, they lacked any real flavor. Hate to say this, but the frozen lasagna from Costco we often get at home tasted better, and my wife's shrimp lemon butter dish didn't taste like much more than the raw ingredients.

The restaurant staff and decor is very nice & welcoming but the food is mediocre. The menu was very limited compared to the menu that is accessible online. My cousin & I ordered the chicken fettuccine which was very very bland. The alfredo was very watery and lacked any kind of seasoning. We were seated quickly & food came out quickly.

I travel a lot and have found Grattos in Galveston, Las Vegas and Lake Charles. The only issue is with the amount of traveling I do to these areas I have only been able to eat at a Grattos twice because at these locations they are ALWAYS closed. I am in Las Vegas currently and have been here 4 days and the restaurant is closed. I was in Lake Charles in February and again they were closed. But the food is really good just wish y’all were actually open more often then occasionally.

Robert was my server and the service was amazing. I was seated alone with 3 kids. I felt very welcomed. The food we ordered tasted amazing, the roasted chicken was just right. My family was very pleased. Desserts were very delectable. The family and I will be back very soon

Excellent pasta and service. We visited here on Thanksgiving Day after having walked out of the Triple George Grill. We had trouble finding the place but a quick call to the restaurant and the hostess had us heading in the right direction. My wife wanted something that wasn't exactly on the menu and the waitress kindly suggested that the chef could cook up anything to her liking. My wife said this was one of the best pastas she's ever had. Other reviewers have suggested the Gorgonzola cream sauce here is great which I had and also enjoyed. Our waitress was very helpful and kind. The service is not super fast but nothing I would complain about. In fact we fully enjoyed the dining experience with limited disruption and hustle. After one of the most disappointing experiences at the Triple George Grill (extremely rude waitress after we didn't opt for the $65/person Thanksgiving Dinner) this certainly made up for it and left us to enjoying the rest of the evening and forgetting that other place Triple Geo.....

We met Executive Chef Gina Thursday afternoon after arrival at the Golden Nugget while we were having lunch, she invited us to The Grotto for supper Friday night. We were early and was seated immediately, Arturo was our server and was excellent! Started with the house salad with an amazing array of greens topped with one of the best house dressings I've had in a long time. My entre was Pescatore, my wife had Chicken Alfredo, the Pescatore had perfectly cooked mussles, shrimp, calamari and crab, extremely tender and flavorful! Wife's Alfredo had a delicious sauce, very tender, juicy chicken and al dente pasta. Dessert was this decadent Tiramisu which was fabulous! I am a certified World Food judge, KCBS and Memphis in May BBQ master judge and Prime judge in Steak Cookoff association, my palette covers a broad spectrum. Gina is an awesome Chef and a great host, Arturo one of the best servers we have had the pleasure to see. Grotto is huge asset the Golden Nugget and Las Vegas, we will be back.

A late flight put us here, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The wait staff were so welcoming, even though we arrived at 15 minutes to close. We had a great pizza, beers, and conversation. Such a great place. I would highly recommend!

My husband is always ready for Italian food. We have ate at many Italian restaurants. We ended up in Fremont Street our last night in Vegas and knowing he hadn’t had the chance at Italian yet, we made our way to the grotto. It was kind of later in the evening, not super busy. We enjoyed watching the guys make pizza near our table. We ordered the Calamari for an app, it was most likely the best we’ve ever had! My husband is a ranch fanatic, and we hadn’t asked for any, he gladly dipped his calamari in the marinara and said it was the best he had had before. I was not very hungry so we decided to split an entree, I can’t remember exactly what it was but some fish plate with asparagus and potatoes. The staff even split it up prior to bringing it to our table! Very good! I wish I hadn’t ate lunch that day so we could have tried more from the menu!

Overall good food and drinks. Me and my boyfriend went here for late night Happy Hour and while the food and drinks were good the staff was fairly inattentive the entire time we were there. I know it is close to closing for them but you still make sure that guests are taken care of. The worst however was once we left. We found out about 15min later that in order to get parking validated you needed a copy of the receipt from the restaurant. We had not taken our receipt and went back to get it. We asked the bartender if we could get it and he informed us that since it was rung in by a different person it wasn’t possible. It had not been more than 15 min at that point. I work in casinos in Vegas and know how easily it is to either pull the customer copy off the top of the trash or call a manager to reprint the copy. It takes a couple minutes at the most. As one of the sit down restaurants in the casino they know that people need receipts to get parking validated. The response was uncaring and again could have been handled much better.

Great service and a good menu. Loved the view of the shark tank during dinner. My rigatoni with giant meatballs was just the right size. Other meals looked good as well, but the picky eaters in my party were disappointed in the contents of their food. Menu wasn't very detailed on what was in each dish.

We enjoyed the meals--they were tasty, and price is reasonable. But service was kind of disappointing. It took more than 15 minutes to take our order, and we waited about 30 minutes to get a check despite we asked many times. The manager should have provided a better shift schedule... they need more waiters/waitresses on the busy weekend.

Best Italian food I've had in a very long time! Had the lemon caper pasta with chicken (incredible)! Service was excellent, food came quickly, prices were great especially for the quality (only thing that seemed steep was the sparkling water). Would highly recommend. Booked online and made a note be close to the shark tank and they literally put us at the closest table possible (you're actually looking at the pool area with a shark tank in the middle but still nice to be near sunlight) and awesome that they took note of the request. The other half of the restaurant is further in and more of an evening restaurant vibe so make a note about which you prefer when you book. Desserts were also amazing so save room!

If you're in the Fremont St area and are looking for a decent lunch this is it. Food was priced fairly for the quality and quantity as the pizzas are quite large. Great view of the pool and nice Vegas atmosphere. Good service, good food and fair pricing is what we found here. If you're in the mood for an Italian style lunch check out the menu. We would definitely return if we were back on Fremont St.

A group of about 20 met for dinner inside the Golden Nugget, hoping to cap off our weekend when we came to the Grotto. We were seated and it was a beautiful room, dimly lit, but nice. Wait staff was very good, quick and accommodating. Food was served, looked great, tasted wonderful, most portions were appropriate. If I had one critique, the salmon entree portion was quite small, and considering it was delicious, left me wanting more.

I’ve dined here 3 or 4 times now & every time it’s been without fault. It’s that place! That place you keep going back to and never get less than perfection on your plate. It’s an exceptionally busy restaurant most times for lunch & dinner. The prices & food quality reflect why. It’s not just the mains that are to die for, the desserts are too & i usually don’t eat them. Excellent value for money that shows! I’m a very picky person when it comes to reviewing Italian cuisine but there’s nothing I’ve been able to pick at each visit so kudos to the staff & chefs.

This is our second time visiting Grotto and it was just as delicious as the first time! Slightly disappointed they no longer serve the chicken ravioli, but what I ordered was still very very tasty! We were seated rapidly and our server Tony was super attentive. It was a great dining experience and I will definitely return. We were looking for a nice but moderately priced place to have dinner and then explore Fremont afterwards for a diverse group ranging from college aged to seniors. This was well-liked by everyone. Good food and service.

Travelers, this is a wonderful restaurant in downtown Las Vegas. A true Vegas experience. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is high end. The food is Italian and delicious. I recommend the linguine and clam sauce. The Italian wedding soup was also delicious. The decor is lovely and is perfect for group events. The menu is diverse and has something nice for everyone. The staff is accommodating and nice and the food is delicious. We recommend and hope you enjoy it too.

Delicious! This is a cute little restaurant in the Golden Nugget, it's very charming and attractive but not at all pretentious. My party of 6 came in around 8:30 last Saturday night (it was busy, but we only waited 10 mins without a reservation) and everyone was very impressed with their meal. While we waited, the host gave us some great tips on which bars to go to after dinner. I had a shrimp pasta with grilled shrimp and the best sauce I've ever had, plus my plate was decorated with edible flowers. I couldn't believe my entree was only $22! My boyfriend had the short rib gnocci with melt-in-your-mouth meat, and my friend had their lasagna which was so unique (like a personal lasagna, not one cut from a pan) and she absolutely loved it. Two of our friends ordered pizzas and they looked tasty; they ordered the thick crust but it still looked pretty thin to me so I'm guessing the thin crust is probably more like a cracker/flatbread. Our server was delightful. I would definitely go back!

First off let me say that I could eat the bread here until died. It is warm, with a nice crust, and simply perfect. The food was good but it wasn't what you'd call traditional Italian. We really didn't expect the whole barely fried egg on the carbonara. The price point is pretty high for the portion size. They did have very good service and a diverse menu. If you're in the area is was a good middle price level option for dinner.

We went to Fremont Street for something completely different and we ended up here for dinner. What a great place.. Angie and Arturo are an asset to the floor as they are great servers. They were attentive without being obtrusive. The manager came by twice to make sure that our dinner service was going well, and that was a nice touch. The food was spot on. We had the seared mozzarella for an appetizer and a wood fired pizza for our dinner and complemented that with a half bottle of chianti. Our dinner pace was just perfect, the attention given to us was outstanding. If you are looking for a great meal and great service, but at half the price of a strip hotel, I would go here every time.

The food wasn't bad, but that is the best compliment I could give it. The food is comparable to the tourist trap restaurants you get in Italy that are close to major monuments and have pictures of the food on the menu. I think 30% of my pizza was bare crust.

We love this restaurant! The bread is delicious and the Chicken Marsala and the Chicken Picata are out of this world. Plus the Fettuccine Alfredo is yummy too. And the chop salad is great. We love to come here because Valet parking is free- and after dinner we go to Fremont St. and people watch.

The wedding cake is to die for. The location of the restaurant inside the hotel is not the best, it is not isolated from the crowds but the joy of the food will make you not minding that. The service is perfect. I would really recommend it. Just do not miss the opportunity of tasting the wedding cake, it is a most.

We just ate here a few hours ago. The food was so delicious but the hostess ruined the experience. We were waiting at the appropriate area to be seated, as we were told to wait there by the bartender. Two other women came after us and the hostess approached to seat them first, without even verifying if we were there first. When I spoke up, I was rudely scolded that where we were told to stand wasn’t right. However, there are three entrances that I could count and all are identical entrances. I’m not sure what she told our waiter, but he was so rude to me and would hardly speak to me while I had to endure the hostess giving me dirty looks as she set placements for the tables around us for dinner. There was a waitress there with short, blonde hair, who was very kind and friendly though, even though we weren’t her table. Loved the food but wish I could say I loved the restaurant.

The food was really good. Tomato soup excellent. Pizza is delicious as well as the ceasar salad. Would have given a 5 star but service at the back bar area wasn't very friendly until the bill arrived.

Grotto is Located in the golden nugget casino. We came on a Friday night and the place was packed! Very loud dining atmosphere but boy the food was stellar. Everything from the piping hot bread to the cheesy goodness of chicken parm and lasagna was just fabulous! The only reason for the lower star rating is service was not very attentive, many times our server never refilled our drinks or cleared plates. Again the food was 10 stars, it was amazing but service left A lot to be desired!

My daughter and I went here on June 5,2015. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but we felt relieved as we hadn't had reservations. Our server was Denise and she was very attentive and had a delightful personality. When first being seated we were served their warm bread with garlic infused olive oil. It was so exquisite! Along with our red wine we ordered " Rigatoni Salsiccia " and were not disappointed it was absolutely delicious !!! Now that I'm back home I'm craving this meal again. It was very crowded on Friday night and very noisy, but aren't most Italian Restaurants ? Loved this place and would recommend it.

While wandering around outside, we found out that there are many restaurants inside the Golden Nugget, our hotel! And oh man it was a good choice to eat at Grotto. My girlfriend and I split a pasta dish, but she is vegetarian so she ordered without the ham. They sent out our food on two separate dishes (very well done, a touch not many restaurants hit on.). Mine had ham, which I didn't mind, but hers had bacon it looked like. I guess we should've specified she's vegetarian, oh well. We had to have them sent back (sorry). They were quick at sending new dishes out. Oh man was it ever good!! Absolutely delicious pasta! Amazing. Sharing was just the right portion. The servings arent huge per other places, they're just right if you're hungry. Quality over quantity! The dessert was also very enticing and delicious. I hear they make some award winning stuff, and after tasting it I know why! This place is awesome. Our waiter was also the best, a guy with real character. He was very funny, not trying to be someone he wasn't. Very awesome eatery.

We were there about a month ago. I believe it was a Tues night. We sat at a high table out by the bar because the dining room was full. The waiter, I believe his name was Tony, said that he was from Chicago. He was the best! He was the most personable of anyone that we met in Vegas. The food was excellent, I really enjoyed the Sin City Amber on tap as well. But, our waiter made it a great experience. Very polite and also a great sense of humor. Thanks for the best dining experiences that we had in Vegas!

Excellent antipasti plate! The bread and dip are great too. Had I not been starving I would have stopped after the appetizers. The spaghetti and meatballs were delicious. The meatballs were large and had great flavor. The rigatoni salsicca was bland - garlic cream sauce was lacking flavor and the sausage was boiled giving it an undesirable texture. All said, the antipasti and meatballs are highly recommended! Be sure to get a table facing the outside/pathways as the people watching was fantastic!

If you like balsamic vinegar as much as me, you need to get the Antipasti. It will be the best $16 you've ever spent. Also, very friendly staff, and there is a fair amount of gluten free options (including the antipasti). I've never been to Italy, but I wouldn't be upset if this is what the food tastes like over there. This is what I imagine authentic Italian food tastes like.

Went here last night with my boyfriend and although they were a bit busy and it took a while to get our food, it was still a great night out! They have about 6 tables that are located outside that not many people are aware of which makes for a nice little romantic dinner with the pool music in the background rather than the hustle and bustle of the casino and bars. The "secret" outside seating by the pool makes this place a little gem where you can view the shark tank and the black jack tables but still enjoy a little quiet corner of privacy for dinner. We both had seafood pasta dishes that were delicious! The service was a bit slow but still pleasant! Definitely going here again and requesting the outside seating after the sun goes down!

Great Italian Restaurant. The ambiance is perfect - relaxing feel, and nicely decorated, making you feel like maybe you're not in Vegas. Great choices of dishes so that everyone in group will see something they would like. Delicious appetizers, the stuffed mushrooms rock. The pizzas have fun pairings, and the pasta dishes range from simple sauces to complicated. The linguini with seafood is out of site. Save room for dessert. Wait staff are friendly, efficient and responsive.

Loved the fire ovens and the rotisserie. The rotisserie chicken was good but needed some pop. Maybe some more spice and heat. Tasted like it was just brined in salt and pepper. Maybe some seasoning after the rotisserie. Needs kicked up. We enjoyed our meals here and will be back.

Just love the Grotto! Was unable to get here last year so we had to eat here on Saturday, May 4 for dinner. Food is very good to excellent, service is attentive and friendly. Ordered a bottle of Michele Chiarlo @$39.00 very good, Meatballs work as an appetizer @$10.00, Chicken Milanese is excellent as is the Salmone alla Griglia! Veal Parmigiana is also something to try but be very hungry it is a huge portion @$26. The Cutlet is $21 and was also very good. Cheese Pizza @13 is also recommended.

Oh my goodness, the food was amazing! I knew the moment I tasted the bread and olive oil they brought to the table that I was in for a taste sensation! First, we had pizza and spaghetti. Yum, truly yum! Then we had the creme brulee...grand slam! The creme brulee has this lovely hint of orange, was smooth, creamy, and the top was caramelized perfectly! Big serving and delizioso! Angela was our server and she's so much fun. She treated us very kindly, but with some fun sass! She had us laughing! She was also very attentive. All the staff we dealt with were on top of their game! Thank you!

Had a great seafood pasta dish and my wife had the 1/2 rotissory chicken which was moist and flavorful. The lime margaritas's were great. The food arrived amazingly fast and it was't too noisy.

Fine dining. Good food. Great dessert. Had the Grand Marnier souffle. Huge, but very light and airy as it should be. Alot of flavor, while not too sweet. Highly recommend.

We liked the Grotto so much that we ate here twice during our 3 night stay. The first night I ordered Lasagne Forno and my friend had the Linguine Pescatore with Grotto Salads. Both meals were delicious with great service and decent prices. Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 6 PM, they have $10 pizzas and drink specials in the bar area only. Our second night we decided to have an early dinner in the bar and take advantage of the Happy Hour Specials. We ordered a Meatzza pizza and it was excellent. This is a secret place. Wow is the food great and not overly priced. More Italian food than anything else and I believe they make their own pasta. If you love chicken marsala you will not be disappointed here. Probably some of the best I've ever had. The fettuccine alfredo is delicious but I did order extra alfredo sauce. The staff is always top notch and they do have happy hour specials on food and drink. This place never disappoints me when I come to Las Vegas.

Went very late at night and had to go thru casino sure to direction we came in from so that was not fun as it was shoulder to shoulder people. Restaurant was not crowded at all but we had to wait in line of 5 people in front of us and I'm sure it's because they had limited wait staff. The buffet was decent but nothing to Rave about compared to other buffets. It was a good location to eat because of where it's at on Fremont Street.

If you are hispanic, DO NOT GO THERE, unless you get the 75.00 wine bottle they suggest. It took them 1 1/2 hrs to get us served, after ordering our main dish. There were 3 other couples who got there after we had ordered our dinner and they got served way before we did, but they did get the 75 dls bottle of wine. Good is great, but the service is not good.

I wish I had this restaurant in my home town. We went to the one in the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and Jeff was our waiter. The food was wonderful and Jeff was attentive and entertaining. The food came quickly despite how busy it was and the five layer cake for dessert was to die for.

Their bread is so soft, warm, and fluffy on the inside and comes with a olive oil garlic basil dip. We got the bolognese spaghetti ($19/dish) and the pasta was cooked to al dente and the sauce is garlicky and delicious! Definitely coming back to try their other pastas.
