I got the catfish po boy and it was amazing, the fries were a little too salty for me but I'm sure fine with others. I'll just ask for light season next time. Staff was great and the music was oldies which I loved overall I will return and recommend to others

Nice locally owned restaurant, was on my list of places to try, glad I did. Got the fried shrimp basket and the spaghetti and fried fish combo, along with a piece of chocolate cake. The fried shrimp was nice sized and fried perfectly. The coleslaw and fries were good as well. The spaghetti and fried fish combo is not a combination that most people would think of but it was something different so I had to try it. The fish was excellent fried to perfection. The spaghetti was good as well along with the garlic bread. They have a spaghetti sandwich which I will have to try, something else I have never heard of before. The chocolate cake was OK. There are a number of items I will have to try like chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, a po boy, and wings. And of course the spaghetti sandwich.

I ordered so much food from here starting with salmon croquettes with the grits and eggs, I had catfish, greens and spaghetti everything tastes so good this is definitely a good place to eat at if you're picky eater like myself grew up with the mother from the south and she cooked everyday except Sundays if you know what I mean this food reminded me of home. Las Vegas has the hardest place to get good food from and this place. I advise you to try it at least once. Perfection to me

I ordered for the 1st time today. I had the 3 wings and 3 sides ( mac n cheese, greens, and beans) also order of lemon pepper wings and a piece of whiting. Gordon ramsay rating 1-5 Mac - 1. no seasoning. Bland. Greens- 4. Cooked nice. A Lil sweet. Different flavors but was good. Beans- 1. Would of liked them a bit sweeter. And a bit over cooked Whole wings- 2. The way was done and nice size. But no seasoning and no breading. Lemon pepper wings- 5. Great. Whiting- 1. Dry. And didn't know it still had bones. Almost choked. All in all. Good food. Would try again. Juat maybe different sides and extra lemon pepper wings @ugfmmag

Let me start by saying that I really wanted to give your restaurant more stars but that wouldn't be an honest personal rating. I went to Frydayz on 1/26/2021 and placed an order. I ordered the two piece fish meal, I asked for catfish. I also ordered a side of shrimp, a spaghetti sandwich meal, 2 peach cobblers, 1 banana pudding, and a coca cola. I was told that my order would be 30 minutes but I received my order almost an hour later. My husband enjoyed his spaghetti sandwich, my catfish and shrimp were pretty good but a little on the salty side. The shrimp were pretty big so that was a plus, I only received one pack of tartar sauce for my order. Later on I was looking forward to dessert. But I took one bite of my banana pudding and there was a piece of plastic inside. I thought maybe it just came off the top to the container. So I dig in for another bite and I spit out another piece of plastic. I contacted the restaurant to let them know just in case pieces ended up in other containers. The employee I spoke to was very kind and apologetic and so was the manager. I didn't ask for comp or a refund, I was concerned that someone may choke on a piece of plastic. I actually put my fingers through the pudding and found more pieces. So I threw the container away, I passed on eating the peach cobbler. I might try this restaurant again in the future, I definitely want to support this business. I lost my brother and my mom tragically so I was definitely inspired by how the owner turned tragedy into triumph. Update! I just saw the owner's reply and I want to say thank you. I will definitely order again in the future and there is no need to comp me a meal.

Same exact order, two different nights, two completely different experiences. 4 nights ago, our first time there, we ordered two each of fried snapper, whiting and catfish with a side of Mac n' cheese, and fries to go. Everything was packaged really good they used separate containers for each type of fish so when We got home it looked awesome when we opened each container and we ate every bit of fish and the sides. I hadn't had fried fish that good in a few years. Forward 4 nights, we thought it was so good that we wanted it again. We placed the same exact order. THIS time they put all the fish together in one container, and the sides in separate containers. By the time we got it home, the fish was broken and kind of mixed in together, mushed.... and they were very oily unlike the nice pieces we got in our first order. The food was still tasteful, but it was a different experience because they were inconsistent with how they packaged it for us. We definitely tasted the oil, perhaps it hadn't been changed before our food was made. I want to try them again. That meal will determine if there's going to be anymore.

I only took off a star because my somehow the macaroni and cheese leaked all over my order. Besides that my food was great and I am very very happy with my food. The shrimp and grits had to be the best thing I ate all week. All I can taste and smell is butter and cheese and my shrimp were prepared wonderfully. They took the tails off which means immediate eating. The spaghetti is another winner taste as it’s homemade. I really wish I had ordered a large spaghetti because the spaghetti sauce has flavor and the noodles are cooked just right. Yes I will be back especially if they’re on DoorDash!!

This is the spot for real fresh seasoned homemade soul food. Yum, and so glad I found you. Our food was great. It was worth the long wait to get food that was make to order and not something from under a light. So much flavor. Everything was great. They were short on staff but not on the food. We couldn't eat it all and I wish I could have finished it all. We truly enjoyed the food.

So this was my second order from this restaurant. The first time I did not leave a review because the food was cold when I got it. This was not the fault of the restaurant but Grubhub so I was not going to bash the restaurant. Today, my mom wanted chicken wings and because we live up the street I decided to order for pickup. First thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean it was. Second thing was how every employee was smiling and greeted me. I had ordered ahead but was there a little early so there was a short wait. Every single person I interacted with was extremely nice (I wish I had gotten their names). The wings and fries we got were amazing and I will certainly go back. For those reviewers saying it is in a bad neighborhood - I have lived in this same neighborhood since moving here in 2016. I have been out going to the bus stop to get to work 3am. Never have I had an issue. Don't let the negative assumptions about the neighborhood stop you from trying this amazing restaurant

The customer service was nice but the food didn’t meet expectations sadly. The peach cobbler is decent. It was hot and fresh. Ice cream- not so great. Wasn’t blue bell fire sure and it was very hard like it was prepackaged and had been in the freezer for awhile. I nearly broke my spoon trying to eat it. The fries were decent. I had the spaghetti sub which was surprisingly delicious. The koolaid was tasty and sweet. My fiancé had the chicken wings which lacked seasoning and flavor. The banana pudding wasn’t good whatsoever. It was banana flavored pudding with wafers. The banana flavored pudding was very artificial tasting. Overall for the $45 price tag it wasn’t worth it. We ended up eating somewhere on the strip the next day wishing we had our $45 to get multiple meals at this spot over what we had ate here. Always open to supporting local businesses but this just wasn’t it.

I came a couple days ago, ordered shrimp basket combo. Shrimp was kool. Loved the hush puppies. Wish the fries were not skinny . But overall it was good. Prices were fair. Loved the muddy water too. Girl at counter with braids was extremely helpful and made the experience better. I love the home/family owned vibe she gave. Will definitely come back.

We wanted soul food we came to Las Vegas to celebrate my daughter 21st bday and my 17 year anniversary. We found this place decided to go to it and they was having a 50 th anniversary which was an amazing thing to see. So they was just accepting take out. My son order peach cobbler omg it needed help it was like a soup but they was happy to exchange it for the banana pudding. We waited almost 40 minutes for our food which I didn’t mind cause the anniversary party was playing old school music. We received our food went back to our room the fries was touch like they was sitting out, and the greens was full of vinegar like the whole bottle was in it. The coleslaw was bland it had no taste no flavor. The chicken was okay and the fish was was good we ordered the catfish. I am giving them 3 stars just because they staff was friendly and they did exchange the peach cobbler for something else. I am not a picky person but I was raised around the south but my family from Mississippi and from Alabama so I know soul food. But we appreciate the kindness

I thought overall the food was very flavorful. I personally order the Lobster Dinner which is only on Sunday which i thought was made perfectly. Had a grilled Lobster over some Mac in cheese. It was hittin with flavor. It's a little whole in the wall yet the staff are friendly and the food taste so comforting. If you are a seafood or wing lover I would recommend you most certainly give them a try!

If I had to judge off of service alone, I would have definitely given 5 stars. Great customer service. Not very pleased with the food unfortunately. I ordered the spaghetti and fish dinner, 3 whole wings with 3 sides, and 1 fish with 3 party wings. Very disappointed with the spaghetti. Taste like pasta and sauce. Yams taste like the ones out of the can with cinnamon added on top. Mac n cheese wasn’t baked.Chicken and fish was decent. Food was barely eaten, but not looking to return or receive a comp. May return again to try the breakfast.

Well, the fish tastes great! I will give them that! But if you are in any type of time restraint, this is not the place for you! You can eat in or take out, however you enjoy eating, this place will take up quite a bit of your day, in waiting for your food! If you want a place that gives you good vibes and good food, this is the place to go. The food I absolutely delicious. Portions are perfect. I ate, got full, and still had enough to bring home and get full again. The customer service is excellent. The music choice fantastic. And again the food so damn good. I highly recommend the catfish. And it's black owned!!! If I could give 10 stars I would no question!!!

When I say I am a very picky eater I am a very picky eater! This place won me over the food was very fresh and the customer service was excellent! This is a humble family ran business and it showed in their business with pride and excellent hospitality! A great place to bring the whole family, my family and I went on a Sunday, on Sunday they have fried lobster tail on a bed of macaroni and cheese with hush puppies it look delicious, we be having this next time, lol. Also, the desserts are made by the mother they are homemade and they are worth gaining the extra pound for especially the banana pudding. Great place to eat at!!!!

My husband ordered this for me a while back with one of the delivery services and had it sent to my job and I must say it was delicious. I had the shrimp basket and a piece of catfish. We went tonight as a family and I had the fried lobster tail, shrimp, catfish. My husband had the lobster, shrimp, red snapper and waffle fries, my son had a lobster tail and a cheeseburger, my daughter had lobster tail and catfish nuggets. Everything was so good. Customer service was amazing and they had good music. Kinda gave us an at home chilling with the family kind of vibes. Most definitely will come again though it’s on the other side of town.

Great food, excellent customer service, overall wonderful experience and I will be going back very soon! Alisha was such a great server, when my Mom couldn’t get out of the car Alisha came to our car and took our order and processed the payment without missing a beat or batting an eye- she was fabulous and gave an excellent dessert recommendation! The food was super tasty and even the fries were seasoned! The wings- omg-gawsh juicy, flavorful, tender, just yum! The cakes... I felt like I was in my aunties kitchen, it brought back memories of being younger and having family get togethers. Don’t take my word for it, try them for yourself and tell me what you think.

The reason for the 3star rating is because of the wait of time to receive your order. I waited for over a hr to get my food and they still forgot my French Fries. How is that even possible after I've been waiting already for over a hr. Now I have to wait 10 more minutes for my French Fries. I started to walk out but I decided to stay. My Whiting Fish was good but my Lemon 🍋 pepper 🌶 wings was over cooked and had to much Seasoning on them. Overall a ok experience! Will return for the Whiting Fish 🐟 next time I'm in the area.

My order of catfish and whiting was great. I don't use much salt, so my pallet tasted it. Light crispy crust. However, the fish with my auntie's po boy was too hard for her to bite, chew and enjoy. Fries were ok, lemonade was good. I'd go back but not auntie. Black owned. There's a picture of Jay-Z having been there.

My roommate ordered me the banana pudding combo with a small side of yams. I enjoyed the fish but my fries were extra wet from the coleslaw and I didn't eat those, the yams were ok I've had better and my banana pudding disappointed me because I found plastic in it with the first spoonful. I was hoping to leave a good review after eating but the plastic and wet fries kind of changed my outcome on my review.

Pretty delicious food I was surprised at how good the fish sandwich was, I'm someone who usually doesn't care for them but was in the mood to try something new and figured a soul food restaurant would definitely do better than a mickey d's. It was SO GOOD, fish was cooked perfectly and the portion was much bigger than I thought it would be and was much appreciated. My favorites though were the sides of greens and yams and macaroni, even if I hadn't enjoyed my other items I would come back just for the sides. Hit the spot, thank you!

So growing up in the South a good fish fry was standard in th summer. Due to me having to travel a lot for work, it is a struggle finding 1. Soul food 2. Southern style seafood. FryDayz delivered!!!!! Let me tell you, after eating fried snapper and catfish I was ready to lay down on that booth seat and take a good nap. In addition to the food, the vibe from the music and the employees felt like home I will be back on the regular! Y’all better get into it! This is the absolute best in Las Vegas

Food cooked to order, you can chill and dine in, listen to music, people watch, and enjoy the food! The servers they are very attentive, quick, and up beat! I tried the shrimp po boy today, I usually get the red snapper plate. Come in and Enjoy! The owner she is very friendly also, I had her homemade banana pudding it was a nice sweet treat to complete the meal!! Great to see a new food place that’s basically “soul food” in a central location in Vegas. I’ve lived here quite some time and have witnessed them come and go but, this one I can see staying around for a while. I gave 4 stars because they indeed need a new Mac n cheese as well as collard greens recipe. The desserts also are not all that good. Each time I’ve had one (banana pudding and peach cobbler) it tasted as if it was from the day (or two) before. The chicken wings, which they fry naked (no batter or seasoning), I would not recommend. Nevertheless, I continue to come back because what’s most important are those delicious fish/ shrimp baskets, with a side of fries, that fill you up just right no matter the time of day. The seafood is always fried just right and goes so well with their cocktail sauce. There’s more than enough seating available for it to be a quick fish/ wing spot. If dining in you can definitely bring friends and family. Oh yeah, they also have a couple tv’s mounted.

I was only in Vegas for about a month, but this place remains in my memory. The staff are hilarious, I couldn't help but laugh at the banter between them. The food takes a little time to make, but thats expected. They have the best fried fish selection I have seen from any restaurant, for example I've never seen fried red snapper anywhere else. All in all 5 stars.

STAFF is friendly helpful and amazing. When you walk in it smells great! Nice menu but made it very tough to choose. We were a fan of the meats (we had fried fish a combo of tilapia, catfish and whiting) Fried fish was different (its made with the cornmeal batter like the fish was) i was expecting a flour / tempura type fried shrimp but still flavorful. Sides (mac n cheese, greens and baked beans) were not a fan of (greens salty and tangy but i like they were made with smoked turkey leg so i was expecting more smokey flavor) mac and cheese was cheesg but bland in seasoning and baked beans were ok bit lacked some seasoning. The banana pudding amd peach cobbler were amazing and definatley a must have!

There was very minimal wait time for our food. I ordered my food to go so we could eat at home however the food was so good it didn’t even make it home. They have the best catfish I’ve ever had in this city hands down. Customer service was excellent as well.

My husband went and brought the fish & spaghetti with coleslaw. He got me a side of greens. I was so upset at the lack of quality of this food. The greens tastes as if they had been soaked in sugar water and old greese.(nasty!!!) The spaghetti was noodles soaked in red greese that had no real flavor but that of oil sprinkled with small bits of meat that resembled the meat drippings in the bottom of the pan. I had visited this establishment a while back,I never wantEd my husband to return. They called this a soul food restaurant.I call it a soulless food restaurant! Over priced for a poor food product.

My husband, brother and myself wanted some soul food. The owner was nice and the place is clean We had Greens, Spaghetti, chicken, cornbread muffin, mac and cheese and ALL OF IT WAS GOOD. Came to the hotel and ate the rest of my greens. The Banana Pudding was good wish I would have bought my own but at least my husband shared a little with me. We will come again.

Omg... stopped by for the lunch specials. Catfish nuggets combo and 3 huge shrimp side order. Absolutely delicious 😋, just the way my grandmother made. Got to meet Doe the owner and his mom Ms. Haddie brought us out a sample of banana pudding. Talk about making you feel at home . Can't wait for their next location in summerlin coming in June. I highly recommend stopping by, you won't regret it.

Honestly the food is great. The only issue I have every time is the Mac n cheese. A lot of people agree. It’s just velvetta, it needs to be homemade baked Mac n cheese, not noodles with cheese drizzled on it. Besides that absolutely love the food As far as customer service, well when my family goes or if I go myself, we usually get the nice girl with the tattoos. Absolutely love her, she brings a different vibe. She’s calm, she’s nice, just different from the other waitress’ in a good way. You can feel her good vibes & hey, it’s a view lol that’s a plus. If you come in I recommend you ask for her to serve you if you’re lucky enough to come in on her shift lol she treats you good & serves you well. 5 stars for her service

Great food and Great customer service! I live in Vegas but I'm originally from Memphis TN. Home of the best barbeque and southern food! This is close to home southern cooking as I have come across! I was going way across town to Annie's kitchen which is also great! But now have somewhere closer to go! Those greens are to die for! When you can't get to Madea's or Mama's house this is the place to go!

The customer service is great. Francis I hope that's her name made dining in great. She was attentive and not once did I have to ask for a refill or napkins because she was already on it. The location is not in the best part of town but that's ok. The food is a little overpriced. The red snapper was a little salty but ok. Their arent many places in Vegas that have snapper so I was eager to try it. I think they need to work on the batter sticking to the fish to help give it that crunch factor I was looking for. Change the fries please. Desert was decent. Will give another visit and try something different.
