Wow!! The food was GREAT! And I am a Louisiana girl, born and bred. Everything was on point! I got the blackened grilled salmon plate with grilled zucchini and red beans & rice. So GOOD! My husband got the fried catfish and shrimp plate with French fries. Just like home! 😍 We finished with the bread pudding. All I can say is- there are restaurants in New Orleans that don’t make bread pudding like that! It was amazing. If you are in Las Vegas and want some good down home Cajun cooking, you have to stop by Fish King Grill. You won’t be disappointed!

I didn’t know that this hidden gem was in Henderson, and today I found out exactly what I was missing. Talk about flavor! They have some of the best seasoning that I have tasted outside of my grandmothers kitchen. This fish is fried with love! You can taste the freshness of the fish and the cleanliness of the oil used to fry it. The texture was perfect as I like my fish fried hard but was still so tender and the spicy batch wasn’t overly spicy it had the perfect amount of kick! The customer service was amazing. Fast, Friendly, and highly efficient. They gave us an order notification device to take to our car so we knew when our order was finished. It was so fast and fresh, I couldn’t believe it. And the friendly staff made sure we felt at home and had a fantastic experience. I’m so amazed at the quality of this fish fry house, I ordered my food to go and it was still hot crispy and steaming in the box 10 minutes later, this place is unbelievable and I would recommend to anyone! 5 *****

If you like Cajon/ Creole food, this place did not disappoint!!! The food was absolutely incredible and authentic. There was nothing that we didn't like, maybe the fries and not a great selection of desserts, but this place is a must try! Even the music was impeccable, Motown baby!!!!

Yummy!!! Stopped by here because I wanted Seafood and I was in the area. Go to the counter and order your food. The restaurant was pretty good in size. Service was meh but the food was delicious. I ordered the salmon Filet blackened with a side of garlic butter. The sides, specifically the zucchini was delicious and flavorful. The Salmon was equally as delicious and one of the best I've have. Definitely will return and recommend this restaurant.

The place to go for seafood, fried, boiled or grilled. Wide variety, crayfish, crab, catfish, shrimp, seabass, orange roughy, trout, snapper, hush puppies and more. Good counter service, cooked well, moderately priced and easily accessible. (Unless it's rushhour) We went to the Windmill location around 5pm and it was busy. If you're a fish lover, go.

Flavors are on point and the portion sizes as well. The spicy has a Cajun blend to it that takes it to a whole different level. Prices are on the higher end but it makes up for the taste and portion size. Went twice in 2 days and ordered the Bayou basket and my wife got the Louisiana basket with soft shell blue crab. Will be back often. Update as of 10/01/22 the new photos are of the exact same dish just regular and not spicy. Same great service, same great taste with 2 kids hamburger meals.

This is a hidden gem for anyone looking for Fried Seafood like Catfish and Shrimp. The food portion is plenty and it tastes delicious 😋 I highly recommend anyone around the area to stop by and check this place out!!👍👍

I went to fish king grill the other day. I'd seen the place but hadn't went in. I'm still kind of new to Vegas and haven't found all of my comfort food favorites. I have wanted fried red snapper fish for a long time, but I hadn't found a place that I liked, UNTIL NOW! OMG. It was delicious, I see they have have other things on the menu that look wonderful ,and I will get around to trying them ,but for now I've found my fish spot. The pieces were big and seasoned so well. The fries are good and the hush puppies are great! Fried fish is not on the menu but you can special order it on the spot. Good eating guys. You won't be disappointed 😁😊

Landed @ this restaurant by accident, I entered the wrong information in GPS, as I’m a visitor from AZ. HOWEVER…The food was amazing! All the food was extremely fresh! We ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad, Jambalaya, the Alfredo Pasta, & the Soft Shell Crab Po Boy. The food was so filled with flavor, and fantastically seasoned, I didn’t even need the salt/pepper at the table, nor hv to use any sauces! Would definitely revisit while in Vegas. AND, it was priced well🙌🏽

Louisiana basket I had was a bit mixed. Fries was undercooked and not crispy. Hush puppy while only 2 was the best I’ve had with crispy outside and soft inside. Soft shell crab and catfish had this corn meal crust while isn’t as crispy with flour batter it was tasty nonetheless.

They’ve raised their prices higher than the menus here. The salmon salad was $18. Still super good though! The salad was fresh and salmon cooked to perfection. But $20 with tax and then a tip on top of that was a bit much for a filet and some greens so I probably won’t be back.

It's a small place but the food is excellent. Don't look for a trash can, they clean it up. Service was quick, had trout and Clam chowder very tasty , the veggies are great.

Overall score 9.5. Safe location, plenty of parking, the restaurant is clean, the personnel is courteous, portions are good. Most dishes are OUTSTANDING, the fish, of the fish and chips, is the only one that was a little bland. We (4 people) have eaten here twice so far, ordered different items each time, most of them are absolutely delicious, exception as noted. This is my place to go to satisfy my Cajun needs.

Probably the best seafood in Vegas. They give great portions and everything is done too high quality. Even their butter for the crab legs was well made. Your paying for restaurant quality food. Me and my girlfriend ate hot and juicy crawfish and paid almost double for half the proportions. Fish king grill tastes great and is absolutely worth every penny.

I don't really want to call this place cute, because it is spacious... The decor is adorbs! It is clean. And let me start on the food! We got a bowl of chowder- was okay. Ceviche!!! Just needed some heat, which you can add yourself! Delish! Louisiana basket- yes! Hushpuppies instead of fries! -wonderful idea! Hot boiled shrimp, was good but i think i wouldn't pay that much again. Staff is friendly and helpful! Get your own drinks... Tea is refreshing! Housemade lemonade. Lots of people eating in and taking to go.

Lived here 7 years, always drove past and always wanted to stop by. Today was the day. Absolutely delicious!!!!! Grilled salmon with garlic butter with grilled slices of zucchini with red beans and rice! You definitely will not be disappointed! Tilapia fish tacos were the bomb!!!

it was a party of four, three of us had the shrimp and catfish. We all agreed the breading could have been seasoned better, it was very lightly seasoned, the hush puppies very good. My brother in law had the Cajun pasta and he said it was good. I had the jambalaya to go and it was good lots of meat and they give you a lot. I would go back again to try the gumbo but I will leave the seafood alone.

Wow! It took a while to place an order...only one person handling call-in orders, as well as walk-in orders. Food was absolutely delicious! Well worth the wait. Some what expensive though. The environment was clean. Nice, recorded music playing inside. Tables were well set-up for inside diners. Whenever I return to Vegas, I will definitely purchase food from them again.

Looking for and craving corn meal coated fried fish but don’t feel like cooking? This is your place!!! The fish/food was hot and fresh. Fish was crispy on the outside, moist and hot on the inside! I had the catfish meal with fries and hush puppies and it was delish! I mean everything was good, the hushpuppy was seasoned with onion flavor and had actual corn in them. The only thing I would change is I would give 3-4 with the order not 2. The fish wasn’t heavily seasoned, which I expected but it was still good with the delicious tartar sauce! Now most times with meals at eateries, there is at least one item that doesn’t taste good, but here everything, even the tartar sauce was A++!! I will return this week, it was that good!!!

Can't get to New Orleans/Louisiana. Try the Fish King Grill. Can't believe its been open for a year and we just got around to trying it. Nothing fancy, just good Po Boys, Shrimp dishes and a variety of Fish Sandwiches that have a Cajun flavor. Prices very reasonable which makes up for the lack of atmosphere (in my view). Recommend you give it a try.

Comparing it to a fish market, fine dining seafood or beside the ocean eating like a pier is not what I'm doing but this is awesome food. Not too crowded, sometimes small places like this cram tables in. Very clean, nice decor, atmosphere. I had the fish tacos, can't remember if I had catfish or tilapia, but it was the best fish tacos I've ever had! That comeback dressing really makes me want to come back! I also had hushpuppies for the first time, so nothing to compare them with, but I liked them!

I'm from the southeast coast and have visited Louisiana. So I had high expectations upon entering. The prices were fair, and the portions were good. I ordered the shrimp and grits (pictured), and was not disappointed. The grits came as a crispy fried patty and it paired well with the shrimp gumbo mixture (which had just the right amount of kick).

We are from Phoenix and visit Las Vegas fairly often. We always make it a point to go to this restaurant which conveniently located near the airport . The staff is so accommodating and the food is delicious. FYI it is a counter serve with good , fresh food and friendly service . We ordered the shrimp poor boy and the grilled mahi mahi and loved them both .

The BEST Catfish in Las Vegas! You will NOT be disappointed. My favorite is the 2pc Catfish basket (Red Beans & rice hush puppies) & a side of zucchini 😩😋. It’s been hard to find good food our here and not just hype food. They also give good portions, I have to get a to go box! The staff is always helpful and give great customer service which is hard to come by out here. Last but not least I Iove they’re frozen Margaritas & I’m sure you would too😍

I came here with my friend and her mom. They both got catfish, and I got the fried tilapia. My food was really good. Theirs was okay. I'd give the food 4 stars hands down. However, the customer service I feel could of been way better. We were not greeted when we came in, and were somewhat ignored. The man behind the counter was eager to help a woman who came in after us, and cut infront of us. After helping her he, decided to acknowledge us.

Wow! Sorry but I wouldn't have stopped at this little strip mall restaurant if not for the other reviews I found. I'm sure glad I did. Lots of fresh fish with several different tasty preparations. Though many fried options are available, I particularly found the grilled and blackened varieties of salmon and sea bass well worth a repeat visit.

Excellent selection and great food served in a casual, friendly environment. We eat here fairly regularly even though it is a little extra of a drive for us but it is totally worth it. Every tie we’ve been here the staff has been friendly and helpful. The food has been served pretty quickly and it has tasted great. I really enjoy their fish and chips, even if they aren’t exactly like in London. Still good. The hush puppies are a treat too. Don’t expect linen table clothes but do expect counter service and damn good food at reasonable prices.

The fried calamari and okra was delicious, battered lightly just the way it's meant to be. Service was very nice to explain any questions. The strawberry lemonade tasted fresh and sweet. Catfish and shrimp batter was too dry. Other than that, it's a good spot for seafood.

Wonderful staff and very good food. The seafood was excellent especially for the price. I would have given this a five star rating if they would tell you that a lot of the food comes out season with Cajun which I don't do spice. They just need to tell customers since it's not listed on the menu. Otherwise we will definitely be going back smiles

Very delicious!! We ordered Clam Chowder, Crawfish Chowder, two drafts (Budlight and Sam Adams), a Shrimp Kids Meal amd the Bayou Basket. Everything was delicious! We feel like this restaurant is a gem and were surprised to see how empty it was :(. This is the third time we had food from here and the first time actually dined in. The staff was friendly and nice. The atmosphere was very clean as well as the restrooms. We hope to see steamed shrimp bags or crawfish someday as it would possibly add some more business. If your ever looking to eat a good meal for lunch or dinner and dont feel like getting dressed up, this is the place for you!

Delicious! I'm super picky when it comes to seafood/shellfish. This place doesn't smell like fish when you walk in and its super clean. The employees at the counter were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. A friend & I ordered 1lb of the snow crab legs each and 6 piece of fried shrimp. So full! Should have a shared 1lb. I'll be back to eat and try more. Thank you!

I've been here a few times choosing different menu selections and it was all good. I love this place. The portion sizes may be a little too big but quite the bang for your buck. You get the whole fish, head and all (I love that). We're not in Louisiana but the gumbo and jambalaya aren't too far off. Everything is quite tasty and I can't imagine any seafood lover not liking this place. Yummy tacos, the sides are delicious and one of the best burgers I've eaten in Las Vegas. I only wish they had a fish burger!

Used to be better. Now it's just average flavors. Their clam chowder was one of the best I've had but that changed, disappointing. Fish is still good, but nothing that stands out anymore. Too bad, this place was close to home. Best Meat Co has better catfish.

My bf loves this place. I could go without it. Atmosphere is tacky and not good, and the only thing I like are the fish tacos. The beans on the side are gross. We do like how you get your beer in a frosted glass, but without the 2 for 1 coupon, it's way overpriced. The counter staff are super!

The food here is awesome. You get choices in how your meal is prepared. And tonight I had the salmon in butter and garlic sauce, my husband the blackened roughy. Both were simply amazing. The red bean and rice dish is the bomb. The service exceptional. We went there on a whim when I did a search for fish restaurants and what a little jewel we found. The guy at the desk was friendly. The prices are very fair. The menu is pretty diverse. My son got the fried catfish po boy and I got the 3 piece cod fish and chips . He loved the po boy and finished all of it. The fish and chips were some of the best I've ever had. The lemonade was great too! We will definitely be back

Yummy yummy yummy. Everything is very good, the place is clean, the fish is fresh. So far the rice and beans side is the only thing that isn't to my liking. It is super bland. And from me, that's a surprise, as I do not do spicy, overly seasoned, etc. The fish tacos are my go-to for a meal when I am in that part of town.

This place is perfect to get good seafood at s reasonable price. It's about a 10 minute drive from the strip, they have a good menu and the food comes out hit and fresh. I would recommend their fish tacos, shrimp poboy and shrimp basket.

WOW!!! Had a grilled catfish salad. Probably the best catfish I ever had in my life!! Had some chicken strips too. No frozen BS here. Cooked fresh and delicious! The staff was also surprisingly wonderful too. The restaurant itself is your typical strip mall diner (windows in the front, all tables, not many decorations). So, you don't need to dress up for this place. But the food tastes like a 5 STAR restaurant (which makes sense because the owner was a chef in many of them for over 30 years). If you like southern New orleans style seafood, or just great seafood in general, this place is worth going out of the way for. It's location is basically 2 miles north-east of the South Point Casino.

Hey All you Seafood lovers! This my second time coming here and I kicked myself for not remember this GREAT, fresh grilled fish spot when I was hungry for a healthy meal. I won't forget anymore. The best seafood I have had since living in Mississippi. The Gumbo and Grits are fantastic!!! My wife fell in love with the catfish and hushpuppies. The prices are reasonable, the places is clean and the staff is friendly. If you love high quality, flavorful seafood give them a try!

Fantastic! Locally owned and operated. All three fish dishes we ordered (orange roughy, sea bass and mahi mahi) were perfectly presented and the taste was just as good. We also ordered the crab legs and kids burger and they were perfect as well. We got to meet the owner and his sons that help him run the place and the could not have been more friendly. This was our first visit as we've been "thinking about" trying this place for several months. Now we're just sorry we didn't come discover it sooner. Our family will definitely be back to enjoy even more of what this place has to offer, and we can't wait!!

My friend and I had lunch there today, restaurant ambiance inside makes you feel as if you were at a casual diner on your way to the coast. Food was very delicious, one of the best trout I have ever had. Fresh cooked not over done with your choice of various cooking styles include traditional (salt and pepper) grilled, blacken or Veracruz (tasty tomato sauce with capers onions and olives) . Portions are ample along with the two sides. I choose the red bean and rise, and squash which was sauteed with a nice flavor. My friend had the Red Snapper with side salad and cooked potatoes. We both left nothing on the plate. Highly recommend the quaint family owned restaurant.

I got the blackened salmon with spinach and squash (healthier option). Salmon was good. I asked for it cooked medium and got it well done but I'm not surprised by that. It was still good. My husband got the shrimp po boy. This place doesn't have remoulade sauce-they do tartar and cocktail separately. The breading for the shrimp was good - had corn in it. Everything was good but not amazing.

The gumbo here is legit. Roux is dark, just the right amount of spice and saltiness. They don't skimp on the shrimp either. It is consistently delicious every time. The folks here are always kind and friendly. I've enjoyed everything I've eaten here including the BEST hushpuppies, po'boys, crab legs, and shrimp salad.

We ate here twice while visiting the area. The food here is reasonably priced for the quality and quantity that you get. We had some fried foods and some grilled food, but since they use hoagie rolls for the PoBoys, I stayed away from them PoBoys should only be served on Louisiana French bread. I can say that the food we had here was as good or better than other food that we had in the area that was much higher priced. If in the area, give them a try.

Just found out about his place late last night while googling various seafood restaurants. I ended up taking my dad there 12 hours later for dinner (take out). I’m originally from South Florida and seafood has always been a staple of my diet my entire life. I’m also a self admitted foodie, who in my 20 years of living in Vegas has eaten at a variety of high end seafood restaurants both on and off the strip. So let me say emphatically this place is AMAZING. I can’t name another seafood restaurant that comes close to the quality and quantity you’ll receive here for the price. I ordered an oyster po boy and the crawfish gumbo. My dad ordered the grilled salmon (garlic butter style) and the seafood gumbo soup. We shared. My oyster po boy was scrumptious. The bread was perfectly soft in texture. The oysters were tasty, perfect amount of cornmeal on them, and the fresh tomatoes, pickles and onions on it made it a master piece. My crawfish chowder had maybe 15-20 pieces easily of crawfish tail that were tender and flavorful. The soup did have a bit of a kick to it but it wasn’t too strong and actually affected my taste buds positively. Nice pieces of potatoes and other veggies complimented the soup. I will DEFINITELY be getting this soup probably with every meal in the future. My dads salmon (which I tried) was grilled, with garlic butter sauce. The salmon had perfect texture and flavor. I know it’s cliche but it literally felt like it was melting in our mouths. The salmon was comparable to the best I have ever had. It was served with grilled squash and zucchini as well as red beans and rice. Also of note, French fries and hush puppies come standard with the po boys. I asked if I could substitute for an item for fries and the cashier (who was the owners son) let me pick any side I wanted for free. I chose red beans and rice. Oh and I’ve always found hush puppies kinda boring. The two that came with my sandwich were perfectly fried, flavorful and fluffy. The cashier also gave us a frequent diner card which after 8 visits will give you $10 off your 9th. Suffice to say I will be back and probably back often. Excited to try the shrimp ceviche, jambalaya, other po boys and other types of fish. Oh haha I didn’t review the seafood gumbo because we were so stuffed we decided to save it for later and heat it up tomorrow for lunch. Should be perfect with the 50 degree weather tomorrow. Hot fresh seafood just about anyway you like it. Pretty fast too considering everything is cooked to order. Best fried shrimp I ever had. The shrimp were so huge for a minute I thought they gave me catfish by mistake.

Best grits and gumbo ever, must try it. The grits are formed in a cake or Patty so there not creamy but still delicious. The edges has a nice crust to it which holds the gumbo well. Large pieces of shrimp in the gumbo, perfect. I will definitely come back to try more.
