Reviews of Carson Kitchen

Amazing experience at this little gem near the Strip.
Every dishes we took (9) was marvelous, so original in textures and flavors, the taste buds were amazed.
The 3 favorites will be :
- Bacon Jam with toasts
- Pork Belly
- Donut with caramel and custard.
Cocktails are also very nice and original.
Really good vibes in this restaurant, with such a vibrant and happy team who brings true joy to the service.
Recommend 100%

I had high hopes for this place but left unsatisfied. It did not live up to the hype.
Presentation-wise, food is beautiful and looks very appetizing.
One issue I had is that we were not given much attention, and several times we were without water and no server would come to give us a bottle of water for our table.
We started with the chicken skins, pork belly, and bacon jam appetizers.
The chicken skins were served with a smoked honey. It was decent, skins were really crispy and honey did have a little smokiness, but it was missing some flavor or seasoning on the skins itself.
The pork belly dish was nice and the pork was super soft, but it had a little off putting taste in the pork belly itself which I haven’t tasted in pork belly dishes anywhere else.
The bacon jam was my favorite, with a great tasting bacon jam (super sweet), but the cheese on top was just one solidified chunk. It would have been nice for the cheese to be more spread out with potentially some crumbled bacon on top.
For the main courses, we got burgers (turkey burgers and regular burgers). The turkey burger was supposed to have a spicy mango chutney, but there was none. Instead, it just had coleslaw on top (it would have been nice to specify the burger has slaw on the menu).
The beef burgers were cooked to well done and were dry. They didn’t ask us how we wanted our burgers cooked which should have been a red flag.
Overall, service was bad, food was very average, and this place isn’t somewhere I would personally revisit.

Absolutely AMAZING!!!! Yes you have to be open minded when looking at the menu. So I looked at the menu at home and was immediately Sold on the Fried Chicken Skins and didn't read past that. When we got there and looked at the rest of the menu we couldn't figure out what to order, because it had very different or unique things on the menu.( Also my Wife is not into different kinds of food) She Got the Iron Chef Burger Plain with just Cheese. This looked like the most Amazing Cheeseburger I have ever seen. Cheese melting down all side with a double patty. She Loved it. I Had the Pork Meatloaf and my mouth is watering just thinking about it and writing this. Now for what I am writing last about, but we had first. Fried Chicken Skins with a Honey did on the side. It was WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! Honestly the whole review should have just been WOW WOW WOW!!!! We will be Back

We came here as a part of our Vegas trip and we really love the food here. I will definitely suggest to order chicken and beer especially IPA because those are the specials here. The chicken is so fresh and the food is really so good all my friends loved it even including a shrimp and other food items which we ordered I will definitely suggest this restaurant every one who are in their trip to Vegas when they’re leaving back or any time because he is in the best spot and this is like the best place to hang out with your friends. The hospitality and infrastructure inside is so good

William and I really love eating at Carson's kitchen. The chicken skins were all we could have hoped they would be in much more. It's a really good place to get an assortment of appetizers and some drinks at. We will definitely be going again. The pork belly was delicious as were the deviled eggs. Also it's just a little bit off Fremont Street so if you prefer something slightly quieter while you're eating it's kind of perfect for that.

Ever have food so good that....
...you taste the love in it?
...you wanted to slap your baby mama?
...you see Aliens on the way to the restroom?
...the tots whisk you back to childhood memories?
...you have chunks of bacon in your dessert?
…you should call it tempura green beans w/ ‘Holy Aioli’
...you talk about your upbringing with awesome Eric?
...the chicken melts in your mouth?
...the brioche bun reminds you of a nice tush?
...the brownie is so decadent you can't finish it all?
...you leave satisfied..sans empty wallet syndrome?
...you come out of Yelp retirement just to write this review?
YES. YOU. GO. NOW.

EXCEPTIONAL dining experience. Five years ago, I had such an memorable experience here, that I couldn’t wait to come back. Alec (our server) was absolutely delightful. He made amazing recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried. Alec recommended the Bees Knees and the Trusty Rusty and they were unique and refreshing. The Social Plates we ordered were so delicious and the Pork Loin was perfectly cooked. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing ambiance.

GREAT ALTERNATIVE TO DINING ON THE STRIP! Carson Kitchen is the perfect antidote to so many over the top restaurants in Vegas. A delicious variety of shared plates - we had the Halibut, tacos, wilted spinach and donut bread pudding for dessert. We were seated in their comfy courtyard on a pleasant evening. Alec was all we could want in a server. Prices are reasonable, especially in a tourist destination. I seldom give 5 stars, but I couldn’t think of a reason why I shouldn’t.

Trendy restaurant with outdoor patio near Freemont Street. The food was amazing, we tried 4 dishes and shared them all. The desserts are out of this world. Very friendly staff. It was freezing inside so bring a jacket. I'd definitely recommend and return.

Dropped in for a couple of drinks and shared plates last night. Everything was spot on - the menu was intriguing and delivered magic. Drinks were complex and the staff were an absolute riot. Loved every minute. We tried the deviled eggs, crispy chicken skins, gyro tacos and beet tartare. Lots more to try next time!

If I could give this place 6 stars I would! ⭐️ let me just say, restaurant on the strip are always over priced and the wait is so long! Restaurants right off of Fremont are so much better and worth traveling too! More and more restaurants are opening up and this is the new place to go for brunch!
We got in and were seated quickly, we ordered the “Devil’s” Eggs, Pork Belly, Killer Shrimp and Chicken thighs. The “Devil’s” Eggs were so delicious! Topped with pancetta and caviar it was so so nice! The pork belly was cooked perfectly! It was tender, lightly crispy and the sauce in it was very delicious sauce.. the killer shrimp was perfectly fried. It was topped with jalapeños but I just ate around them.. and the chicken thighs were perfectly cooked! Slightly chard but in a good way and the cream sauce on top was so good I kept going back for me. The food here is undoubtedly the best brunch I’ve ever had in Vegas! The service was really good too! And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think about coming back the next day for more.. I’ll definitely be back here!!

Had a great experience dining here. Went during CES, but was fortunate to find a spot when eating early dinner. The food was amazing, and the staff and service was wonderful. We got the pork belly, pumpkin soup (seasonal), short rib steak, ox tail risotto, and Tres Leches with cereal milk. Favorite part of each dish was:
- Overall, pork belly and sauce was delicious
- The taste of the pumpkin sweetness (with actual pumpkin seeds) combined well with the large bacon pieces
- The pesto with steak combo was great
- Overall, ox tail risotto was the bomb
- The fact that Tres leches wasn't too sweet due to the combo of cereal milk and amaro made for such an amazing dessert to end on.
The manager Brandon was super helpful and really nice. Our server Brooke was also amazing and gave great recommendations for drinks. Overall, they really made our dining experience outstanding and def plan to visit again.
I would definitely recommend anyone to try it whenever visiting Vegas 👌

The wife and I made last minute reservations for Carson Kitchen the day of after doing a quick Google and Yelp search. We arrived an hour early after walking through Fremont Street and they were able to accommodate us with 2 seats at the bar overlooking the chefs working in the kitchen.
1- We started off with the Devil's Eggs, and they were nice and creamy. I personally wish they had the larger red caviar on them since the black caviar hardly adds any flavor. Nonetheless we enjoyed them.
2- Afterwards we shared the salmon. Great crispy skin with a nice fresh mango that had a hint of spiced seasoning tahini maybe? Not sure, but it was delicious.
3- the 3rd dish we had was the Black Rice and Ox Tail Risotto. Very rich and creamy dish. With a nice hint of garlic herbs on top. Very tasty.
4- Mushroom flat bread, was simple but tasty.
5- Bread Pudding had 2 different sauces on it. It's freshly baked so it's not like a normal bread pudding that's soaked in rum normally. But a delicious dessert to top off the meal.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and would recommend it.

Went with a group of friends and cannot recommend it more. The food was delicious and the sizing was just right to order a bunch and share. The chicken thighs were incredible as well as the shrimp. The drinks were beautiful and equally delish. You won’t regret giving it a shot.

Location:
It’s a Hidden Gem in a treasure map of Dinning possibilities, small, cozy and always full, Some may say, in Las Vegas there is a lot possibilities to have a place like this, agree, but this is unique, and just a few blocks from the Strip.
Service:
Great, friendly, they review your order, 10 tables, great siting. You can also order To-go. I had the chance to speak to Rachel, the kind of manager that make you fill warm and at home, I'm ready to come back again.
Menu:
Small plates. Happily Surprised of the different choices you have, Hot or Cold; there is not one plate i didn't like.
Bottled and fountain drinks, nice list of wines, full bar.
Food:
Great. As a reference We had, Devil's eggs, Pork Belly, Crispy chicken skins, Oysters, Rainbow cauliflower, Beet Tartare, Bacon Jam, Short rib steak, Ox Tail Risotto, Chicken Thighs and Bread Pudding.
Price: $$$ / 5. Worth every penny.
Overall:
I will comeback and highly recommend it. Quality over Price. To those that know about Tapas, this is a perfect place. Eating Habits (vegetarian, vegan) I don't know every thing that I had except the Beet Tartare all had meat, but I will never compromise their choice over their quality food witch is Superb.

Loved the food for my wife, our friend and I 1st time over. I loved fact that they have a outside patio for dinning. Alcohol is also served here and the place sits right beside a donut shop.

We didn’t know what we were getting into but figured we would take a chance. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We were in Vegas for a week and had lots of different meals. This was by far the icing on the cake. Had a mixup in our reservations and they took great care of us, even though we had made the screw up. We loved the small cozy atmosphere, the cool casual vibe of our server, the open kitchen, and the incredibly creative menu option. I could have honestly eaten one of everything! The mixed drinks were also spot on and again, the best we’ve had all week. We’ve been going to a place in Vegas as our “staple” and when they closed about five years ago, we never really found a new place. This will be on our list every time we come back each year. Thanks for an amazing experience.

This gem is only a few steps away from Fremont Street and is by far one of my favorite dining experiences EVER! And im not over exaggerating, its all around a 5 star experience. Its a smaller restaurant but it helps you connect with your dining companions. I love the updated modern look of the entire place.
We could’ve ordered every dish on that menu and everything would’ve been fantastic. It’s extremely hard not to because the prices are reasonable. If this spot was on the strip, you would be paying double for the quality of the food. You can tell how much work went into making the Oxtail risotto. It’s rich and all of the flavors truly compliment each other. I could say the same about the grilled oysters with the mango topping. Each plate leaves you speechless. And don’t let me forget the glazed donut bread pudding!!! Imagine trying Krispy Kreme’s right off the line and then someone decides to rebake it with a delicious glaze.
I can’t forget to mention the service. The wait staff was super cool and was able to answer all of our questions. They were excited to see our reactions to the food and it was genuine. Forget the strip, if you want the best dining experience in Vegas it’s downtown. You get top notch service and great vibes.

Birthday Dinner her was superb! Bread pudding was so good. Bartender made me an awesome coffee cocktail. Best item award goes to the jerk burger🤗.

Don't miss this restaurant, it's such a great experience and the food is really to die for!
We had crispy chicken skins with honey, and this is life. Tempera green beans with pepper jelly cream cheese, oh my gosh - yum!
I had chicken thighs and Shane said they were the best he'd ever had. He had the cocoa expresso NY strip, which I thought was very good. Drinks, he had the house red, it was very good. And I had two of the Magarian's, because they were super delicious.
Enjoy Vegas - eat here!
FYI - staff are the bomb, and not a high turn over, so you know they treat them well. Which is important to me.
Colin Anderson
Amazing food! Delicious drinks! And Kendall took great care of us at the bar. Best meal in Vegas.

[3.5 stars, rounded down]
I had a friend in town from San Francisco and we were meeting up for lunch. Not having tried Carson Kitchen before, I chose this location for four of us and we made reservations for 11:30.
First, Google shows the place as opening at noon, so that needs fixing.
Second, we got there about 11:25 and come 11:30, they still weren’t opening the doors and leaving us customers out in this muggy monsoon weather.
I’ll say off the bat that our server was very cool and took care of us well enough.
But the guy at the front (owner?) couldn’t even bother to say hello to anyone as all of us walked in. I understand that some folks are anti-social, but if you are, maybe don’t be standing at the entrance.
The food was pretty good, overall. The deviled eggs were a good starter and the black rice risotto was delicious - so rich. I enjoyed the fish but nobody else did. The rest of the table liked the tacos okay but I didn’t like it at all. The macaroni and cheese was on-point. We all liked the pork belly, and exactly NOBODY liked the steak. Tough and dry.
Hit or miss.
They have a decent beer and wine menu. We stayed on for one drink each since we hadn’t seen this friend in a long while. Had the weather been more fit for human survival, we’d have opted to sit out on the patio for after-lunch drinks.
I can’t say that I’ll be back.
There’s just too much good food downtown or all over Vegas to frequent a spot that serves hit-or-miss food with inconsistent service and people not even greeting you on a Saturday morning as they enter when you open.
Marcus Gillette
Sit at the back counter if you can. The staff and the other guests make for a fun and uniquely Vegas experience. Enjoy beautiful craft cocktails paired with inventive dishes such as the tempura green beans served atop pepper jelly cream cheese. Must finish with the glazed donut bread pudding.
RJ Whaley
Visited while doing the Lip Smacking Foodie Tour. Got to meet the owner when we stopped here which always adds a touch of personalizing. The fire oven adds a smell that adds to the experience and enhances the food experience. Another round of foods and a place that you might never experience but really should stop and eat here.
Vik Jain
Came here for brunch and right down from the wild boar tacos to the salmon plate and steak everything was delicious and flavorful. Our new favorite brunch spot whenever we are in town. A bit disappointed to not get my morning coffee here as their coffee machine was broken

Carson Kitchen is a wonderfully refreshing restaurant just off the strip in Las Vegas. We have enjoyed Carson Kitchen over the years as one of our go to places in Vegas, we flew in from PDX and Carson Kitchen was dinner night number 1!
The restaurant has a full bar, inside dining, roof top dining, and a courtyard patio. The restaurant specializes in creating unique American dishes and outstanding mixology for wonderful cocktails! Ingredients are always fresh, dishes are perfectly prepared. One unique and refreshing aspect of Carson Kitchen's craft is "shared small dishes". Your order is cooked and brought out as it's prepared and done, the dishes ordered are meant to be shared across the table. In my experience, this fosters interesting mealtime conversation. The service is always great, portions are perfect, and the prices are very reasonable!
Do yourself a favor and give Carson Kitchen a try, you'll be coming back for more! Inside tip, be sure to try the Bacon
Jam Appitizer a try!
If you find my review helpful please give me a thumbs-up 👍! Thank you!

Great menu, really enjoyed everything. Good beer selection also. Fair prices. Gets quite busy though, so you’ll want a reservation if you can get one.

The Butter Burger was delicious. They were easily able to take care of our daughter in law who has a gluten allergy. Even cooked her burger in a separate skillet and made a special cauliflower side for her. Staff was excellent. My only negative was our appetizer came during our meal instead of before.
Elisabeth Swanson
We ordered 5 small plates: the deviled eggs with caviar, lamb tacos, spicy peppered shrimp, a burger and Mac & cheese. Every single dish was delicious! With wine & dessert, it was an excellent meal. Definitely a memorable dining experience! Kudos, Carson Kitchen!!
Ervin Grissom
First time in Vegas, First time at Carson's and I love it. My wife enjoyed the chicken skins, I enjoyed the Get shorty, you must try both 😋
Nicole P. a.
Nice courtyard. Rooftop dining an option. Clothing ranged from jeans and t-shirt --> dressed to impress. Great service. The shrimp was good, the street corn salad, and the mushroom pizza ALL GOOD! The donut dessert was amazing. The bacon ice cream was unexpected and worth every bite. I could do without the fudge brownie.
Edward Scissor Hands
Food is fresh, hot, good, and unique. This is a definite must try at least once. I will be back for sure to try out kore of their dishes. The drinks are also unique and flavorful. They serve local beer too so you do get to support local Las Vegas when eating here.
Scott Umble
Great food and delicious, unique cocktails. Went for a wedding and staff couldn't have been more professional and friendly. 100% recommend!
Guillaume Lachaud
Yes, yes, and yes. This is where you want to have dinner in Vegas. Tired of all the bland and over expensive restaurants from the strip ? Here you'll find the complete opposite. Authentic good food that won't break the bank with stellar service. Will definitely come back.
Alicia Bartholomee
Amazzinngggg experience here!!
We loved the food (the burger and bacon jam are to die for), were so impressed with the service and how helpful the staff all are with one another, and loved the open kitchen and ambiance. Will definitely return our next trip to Vegas!
Tom Richards
We came in just for a taste of a few things. We saw Carson’s Kitchen featured on a Lip Smacking Foodie tour. The atmosphere was great and with the open kitchen you’re able to see the chefs cooking. We had a nice corner high top. The staff was extremely nice and started us off with water. We got a Get Shorty and a Bees Knees. Great cocktails but enjoyed the Get Shorty better. We ordered the PORK BELLY with buffalo bleu beurre blanc which was delicious and perfectly cooked. We also tried the CRISPY CHICKEN SKINS with smoked honey. Omg. Kinda like a pork rind but fresh and crispy and delicious. Great spot. We will be back. Thanks for the great hospitality.
Samantha Littlefield
Cocktails on the sweet side, but good. Polite and attentive staff. Food is imaginative. No on the pork belly. When when they had a foudie tour going on, very hectic
Rebekah Smith
The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing! Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and flavored, the food had very nice presentation, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to go again!
That being said, I don’t think I would take a picky eater. The menu does require a bit of an open mind, but it is well worth it if you are up for it. I would also advise that it is better for two people rather than a group or large party. The menu items are portioned better for two people to split a few options so the price would add up quickly with more people. For reference, my husband and I shared 3 dishes and it was the perfect amount of food for the two of us.
I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you are looking for an elevated take on classic American food.
Reina
The customer service was amazing. I do think the location was pricey. The tempura green beans was delicious and so was their pork. Delicious though!
Ron “Ron” Moser
Was very good. Had the Pecan Halibut and rainbow cauliflower. Strive was also good. Felt price for dinner was on the high side for the quality.

First time here... and I can say everything was just perfect!
Good drinks, delicious food and great service by kendal S!
Coming back every visit for sure !
Alexandria Foxx
I absolutely love coming here. Not only is the food delicious, comforting, yet uniquely its own, the staff is incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable, and Super fun. I always feel welcome. I always leave satisfied and glad that I chose to spend time at this wonderful spot off of the strip.
If you're feeling adventurous, ask your bartender Steve for a Wisconsin Old Fashioned. It's a unique twist on a traditional favorite ;) cheers!
Sean Colon
Amazing food, arrived at 11:30am food was fresh. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu
Jimmy Batista
The food was sooo amazing. I went with a friend here and we both agreed this is a place to come to every year we visit vegas. We sat at the “chef’s bar” I love these seats as you get to see everything. We loved everything except for the Bourbon brownie dessert. Ice cream and bacon was really good, but the brownie was sooo hard that we couldnt break through with the spoon and so overly powerful with the bourbon taste that we didnt end up eating it. We def wont get this item again, but the other dessert was really good. This place was 10000x better food than the “top of the world” restaurant. Thank me later and just come here!

Can't go wrong with these items

I have been wanting to come here for so long and I finally did! This place is fantastic! The service was amazing and it has such a nice atmosphere. They encourage you to eat your meal family style. I was with 2 other friends and it worked out perfectly. A lot of their dishes come in 3’s. We had the cauliflower, chicken thighs, prime burger, grilled oysters, oxtail risotto, and shared a bottle of rosé. We left feeling full, not over stuffed but just perfect. I want to try so many more items, I can’t wait to come back!

It was our first time dining here and it was delicious ... The hostess and servers were very friendly and attentive !!

We were referred here by our tour guide to the Grand Canyon and what a hidden secret! Carson was one of the best places we ate at in Vegas. It’s definitely on our must visit places from now on. The food is delicious! We had the bacon jam, salmon, killer shrimp, steak, and Mac and cheese. All of it was outstanding! The ambiance is really cool and craft cocktails potent and great!
Aron Grant (Big Jay's)
Always a good meal here at Carson's kitchen. The chicken skin tonight seemed over cooked. The bartenders tonite were terrific. Thanks for putting the tip in drink. Nice and strong.

Always good food at Carson Kitchen! We've been coming for a couple of years and the food is always consistently good. Everything is served family style and meant to share which I love. Be sure to try the bacon jam and finish off your meal with the donut bread pudding. You'll for sure leave happy!
Robert G
everything was good but the deviled eggs were the best for me. and the crawfish were fried perfectly.

The booking of Carson Kitchen for our cocktail wedding reception, on their rooftop patio was a breeze. Cory was a delight to correspond with, clear about expectations and contracts. We felt very confident this was going to be a great dining option for our wedding. But WOW, it exceeded expectations again! We have eaten here before and we knew the food was great. But the service for all 45 of our guests was incredible. There was plenty of food and it kept coming !! Everyone was super accommodating and knowledgeable about menu and ingredients for 5 guests all with different allergies. Bar tenders were hilarious, shout out to Stephen and Lauren who's names I recall. Both managers at the time came and said hello and checked in if we needed anything. My grandma who uses a wheelchair was directed to the elevator and was able to get up there no problem, bathrooms are clean and accessible too !! Everything was so easy. When it came time to pay the invoice they were polite and discreet. The atmosphere was fabulous, all of my guests left very full and very happy. 10/10 we will be back again for sure. One of our favorite spots in downtown LV.

Great brunch spot! The service is amazing, the waitress Morgan was so attentive. We did bottomless brunch and the staff always checked in on us. We had a great time! The menu has a wide variety, we got the corn beef hash and chicken and waffles! Perfect weekend vibes
Garret Kasler
One of my favorite places to visit whenever I'm in Vegas. Every item on the menu I've tried has been A+. My personal favorites are the mac and cheese and deviled eggs.
James
We went for a wedding reception (just dinner and drinks). We chose the 5 course option, drinks, and could not be happier. We had 14 people, and I think they tried to feed 40. Food was plentiful and tasty, catered to those with dietary restrictions, and I don't believe anyone's glass went empty.
A lot happened during our wedding weekend, but I can happily say Carson Kitchen was a great addition to our experience. Everyone had a favorite dish, but mine included the bacon jam and chicken. My new wife loved the Korean fried tofu and the salmon.
Kacey Shin
We came here for lunch after looking through the reviews on google, and can confirm the place does live up to the hype. Great service, great food, and food came out quick. We ordered six dishes, and we were happily satisfied with all of them. All of them were really good - my personal favourite was the rabbit alfredo pasta.
Our server Bianca was amazing. Would recommend a visit, would definitely come back if we were to visit Vegas again.
Gina G.
Must haves : killer shrimp, tempura Green beans, NY steak, and seasonal fish. 5 stars all the way! Delicious.

Second time here in 72 hrs! Iron Chef Burger - 5 ⭐️! Crispy Chicken Skins and Bacon Jam - 5 ⭐️! Omg! Delicious, worth the 5 lb weight gain! It vacation, baby! Great staff as well!

Ordered the Shrimp & Grits with two "Tangled Up In Blue's". Really good food. Spicy and the texture was great. The drinks were so good that we had to get another.
Bryan Tift
Went out with my wife for dinner here. It's a fun atmosphere and a great experience! We ended up getting three plates for the two of us and with 2 drinks it came out to about $80. Service was good and we left satisfied.
Dustin Byrd
This is a small place with a main dining room and a bar room. I got seated at the bar room and had orange soda that the bartender poured for me from a bottle. The food menu is very limited, so be prepared for that. Music was a little loud and it has a hipster vibe to it. I enjoyed myself but my girlfriend didn't really. I ordered their baked Mac and cheese and it arrived hot and quickly. The bartender said the food here is shareable, but the food I ordered wasn't very big. It tasted great and the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't go here with a group of friends just because of space and limited menu. I'd definitely go if I was alone though. Parking is along the street and the neighborhood is sketchy.
scott montross
This was hands down the best food experience I've had while living in Vegas. The tempura green beans were absolutely mind blowing, a light crunchy snack with amazing pepper jelly on the side. I could continue on about the crawfish tacos or short rib, but that would detract from the best part of my night.
Amy....I would pay just to banter with her again. Not only were her food and drink recommendations on point (try the shandy cheeks, she named it!), But she was just a vibe and honestly made the experience perfect.
Angelina P
I’m a picky eater but I love several dishes here. Great food. Great service. My family likes it too. I also recommend the Killer Shrimp and macaroni and cheese. Definitely go if you have the chance!
A. MayChelle Marshall
You won't believe this gem. The food is extraordinary. I had the best salmon of my life here and I lived in Alaska for years. Try the watermelon salad, deliciously refreshing with a surprise dressing. Get a reservation, Carson Kitchen is worth driving 90 minutes to have a scrumptious meal.

My wife and I dined in at this restaurant due to high reviews both on Google and Tripadvisor in addition to other sources online.
The location is convenient and is right near Fremont Street.
The food here was absolutely delicious. We ordered the crispy chicken skins, mac n cheese, NY strip, oxtail risotto and some bourbon fudge brownie for dessert.
I absolutely recommend the black rice and oxtail risotto. My goodness, it was so good that I can easily say it was the highlight of our Vegas trip. Definitely try it out and see for yourself!
Other menu items were great, we definitely ordered too much. We weren't the biggest fans of the bourbon fudge brownie, because it had bacon bits in the ice cream. If you love bacon, check out the brownie!

I visited the Carson Kitchen on part of a food tour. The patio in the back was secluded and relaxed, and the spread of samples was delicious. My favorites were the Beet Tartar, (fresh red beets on a creamy goat cheese spread with mandarin sauce, flavorful but not overpowering), and the fried shrimp in a sweet/creamy coconut sauce.
I'd come back to check out the rest of the menu.

Absolutely awesome. We went on Saturday night before a show and had the bacon jam, brussel sprout salad, oxtail risotto, meatloaf, and the brownie for dessert. Everything was literally incredible and the service was very attentive and fast! By far our favorite place to take out of town guests to!
Ryan Walker
We went here for my wife’s birthday recently with a group of five friends. The food was good but it was extremely hot inside and we were all drenched in sweat by the time we left. It was also very loud inside. Not sure if the AC was broken but those were the two main issues. The drink I had was a little uninspired but others liked theirs. They were out of a few food and drink items.
Karthik Sajikumar
I’ve been here in 2017 and now in 2021. The place has the same level of standards as it had before or in face even better. You should definitely try the bacon jam. It’s one of the best I’ve had in my life. The butter burger is amazing as well

I wish I remembered our servers name, all I can say is it is hard to find good service here in Las Vegas unless you are at a 5 star in the strip and our server was exceptional. Our drinks were amazing, the food was awesome. On of the best nights out since I moved here.
Lindsey Allie
Amazing food! You can tell that everything is home made and delicious!!! Best thing I got was the tempura green beans, short rib steak, and the donut bread pudding dessert! Highly recommend especially for a night out!
James Reeves
Everything is great here, service as well. Dress-up or go casual. It's small so make reservations if it's for dinner, lunch was easy to get in without reservations. Just go eat here and thank me later.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food. The restaurant is neat and modern with comfortable outdoor seating. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, and gave great suggestions. All of our dishes were amazing and unique. Our favorites were the pork belly, chicken thighs, barrimundi, and devil's eggs. If I had to find a downside, the plates are kind of tapas style and they come out of the kitchen sporadically, so not everything is served at once, which is a bit difficult when everyone orders individual meals and certain people are eating while no one else has food. If you plan to share, this is no problem at all. Overall, it was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a good meal off the strip while visiting vegas. You will be blown away by the gorgeous and unique plates that are served here.

We didn't have reservations so we sat at the bar.
I'm so glad we did. Felicia, our bartender, was amazing! She knew her stuff on what was gluten-free and what wasn't.
She chatted with us the whole 1.5 hours we were there with out missing a beat making all the drunk orders that came in.
I had the fried green beans and cod, my friend had the roasted cauliflower and cod.
It was all so delicious!
I'd go back again tonight!

A MUST TRY, ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING FOOD, nostalgia music, great service super chill to unwind 100% must try cucumber soda ❤🔥. Love love this place
Rachelle Jones
The food was so good! The pickles were our favorite.

Eh. Our party of five sat outside, service and ambiance was 5 ***. We ordered many appetizers and dishes and we all agreed it was just ok. One dish in particular was way over seasoned and instead of taking it off the bill they stated they would instead give us a free desert. We would most likely not take friends there again.
Mark Mason
Food was incredible again....Chicken skins are to die for. We got to sit at the counter where Jessie was making the food right in front of us. He was so nice.....answering all of our questions. He suggested the donut bread pudding....I usually hate bread pudding. He talked me into it and I am so glad he did. Pure heaven. I can't believe it was that good
Cynthia Rueda
It was so great. Very simple concept. Very delicious and fresh. Definitely coming back. Love the sangria, the Alfredo pasta with rabbit and the killer shrimp. Amazing food!
Chris Leidal
Came here based off of a Google search for the best Mac & Cheese...this place is rated #1 and for good reason! Try it out....white truffle oil does the trick! Our waitress (sorry I dont remember your name) was so polite and friendly! Experience this place on the quaint patio....will be back!

One of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. Every thing on the menu is delicious and served as small sharable 🍽️ plates perfect for date night or larger social gatherings. A few of my favorite dishes include : crispy chicken 🐔 skins with honey dipping glaze, Mac n cheese 🧀, ox 🐂 tail risotto, expresso NY strip steak 🥩, rainbow cauliflower, butter burger, and tots. I always look forward to my next visit.

OK, Carson Kitchen working its way to the top of my list. Great spot in downtown Las Vegas. Start off by going over their varied cocktail menu. I started off with a rye whiskey and ginger concoction gregariously named "Just the Tip".
Paired with the cocktail I tried the Bacon Jam served in cast iron top with broiled harvarti for shmearing on lightly toasted slices of baguette. It's a must try.
The venison was prepared as a salisbury steak with wonderful mushrooms in a mushroom cream sauce with just enough of a spicy kick. Along with the venison tried the Baked Mac and Cheese. The toasted and broiled bread crumbs added some great texture to the plate but it wasn't really a standout compared with the other dishes.
Had to skip the desert but I'll be back. There is just so much to try on their diverse menu. Stop by. The service is great, there are plenty of dining options inside, outside, and out on the outdoor rooftop balcony.
Tyler Eshnaur
Wonderful place. Had an amazing dinner with 8 of my best friends and the atmosphere was lovely. Alec was our server and the only thing better was the food. Absolutely amazing
E Gil
This place was amazing. Chef inspired food everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered the tempura green beans, the Killer Shrimp, the Coco espresso New York strip, and the funeral potatoes. They were all excellent but my personal favorite was the cocoa espresso New York strip seriously one of the best pieces of steak I've ever had. The interior is beautiful the staff is exceptional. It's just a hole in the wall but it packs a punch.
Sean Levesque
Lucked out and were able to walk in without a reservation while driving through Las Vegas. Food was AMAZING, great options that aren't common on every other menu, staff was very attentive and (I have to admit) uncannily attractive. Haha! ;)
Will be sure to visit again the next time we come through town. Thank you so much!
Matt Wilks
Every time I'm in Vegas I must go here at least once. The food is always top notch, the staff are super helpful and friendly, and it's just a fantastic meal. Don't hesitate to try this gem. Everything is so good.
Geoffrey Ho
Cool place. Great service. Food is delicious. We had the Social plates and only comment is that It's all fried. So if you're prepared for that, it's a great place
Katie Kovba
Every single plate we ordered was fantastic! Highly recommend the mac and cheese with the bacon jam on top! Short rib was amazing as well as the eggplant schnitzel!
Randy Sadler
Friends had lunch here and couldn't stop raving about it, so we went for dinner, Waitress immediately recognised our friends on their return. Were seated and all staff were excellent and food was fantastic. Always good to see happy staff, open kitchen so could see all staff were enjoying what they do. Highly recommend.
Paul Randall
A Very Kool place, took the wife here for our anniversary and we had a great time. The food is very delicious, the staff is awesome and very welcoming. Music was a lil too loud but fits the environment. I look forward to going back on my next visit to Vegas.

So freaking good! Only regret is not taking pictures. Our server Brook was nothing short of professional and the vibe at Carson Kitchen was super chill.
We shared the tempura green beans and the chicken skins! OMG DELICIOUS! My husband had the black rice and oxtail risotto which was superb while I had the chicken thighs with white bbq sauce. The mac and cheese was tasty however the temperature needed work. It was luke warm but no worries we packed it up and will eat at home.
Dessert was phenomenal! Glazed donut bread pudding. Caught me off guard because it was that freaking good.
We will be back for sure!
Jim Gunderson
Amazing hidden jewel downtown Vegas. 2 separate outside patios, one having a bar as well as a bar downstairs. We had fried green beans, deviled eggs w/caviar, bacon jam, baked mac and cheese, watermelon salad, bread pudding and the turkey burger. The service is excellent, above and beyond. Thanks for a great time.
Michael Tchong
Carson Kitchen has been a consistent favorite of ours for at least the past five years! Both my companion’s Secret Sunday Chicken sandwich and my Devil’s Eggs plus Tempura Green Beans were all outstanding as usual. And let’s not forget that great bottle of Stemmari Pinot Grigio. Naturally, being gluttons, we had to top it off with a Glazed Donut Bread Pudding dessert, shared, of course, to watch my svelte figure! 😁 Can’t say enough, although I do wish the restaurant would open its roof patio at lunch.

I was surprised at how good it was I had the Burnt Ends and BLT on flat bread and it wasso yummy 😋

Food was incredible. I can't wait to go back.

Good service and unique food menu.

What a great place. We sat outside with blankets and heaters and this was enough to keep you warm. The server we had couldn't have done more for us. We had all the startes of the menu and shared between 6 of us and there was plenty to go round and tasted fantastic.

From walking in the door to leaving, was Definitely a Awesome experience. Staff inside the kitchen and out are gems to be admired. My mouth was having a Par-Tay with every bite. Not a Restaurant to wolf down your food. The different flavors of each dish should be dedicated to enjoying every morsel.
Chef Scott knows what his customers enjoy. My Husband and I will enjoy the pleasure of this Restaurant quite often on a regular basis.
Oh, what did we order your thinking?
Tempura Green beans, Brushetta with a Hot(temperature)Spicy Bacon Jam with melted Gouda, Turkey Jerk Burger with spicy Tots(not too spicy, just perfect for any connoisseur),
Short Rib Flatbread. All was a surprise of different flavors that would please even the pickiest of eaters.
The Dessert was considered a Donut... It might've been a Donut. But, I honestly think it was connected with Royalty. For the flavor of this tower of warm donut with the ever so slightly thin hard glaze of Carmel on top. And a out of this world cream that this dessert sat in was at the least mouthwatering before you even took a bite. 🤤. Yes, don't forget to have the "Donut", for Dessert.
Again, Thank you Chef Scott for a unforgettable first visit. Will definitely look forward to our many future visits ☺️

Carson Kitchen was my once-a-week stop while I was working in SLC in April and May 2021. First it was on my radar cuz one of my friends recommended them and they were right next to my hotel. In fact, they provided room service to my hotel!
I usually browse the menu before I even walk through the door and the one thing that caught my eye: Crispy Chicken Skins. Yes, it is exactly what you think it is. It's so freaking good - it remains completely crispy and it comes with a smoked honey dipping sauce. I'm drooling just thinking about it. I'm guessing this a staple on their menu, and if it isn't, it should be! I had to balance that out, so I ordered their rainbow cauliflower - another delicous dish, with just enough heat! I've also had barramundi (a rare item to see on a menu), Short Rib Steak, and Broken Lasagna (vegetarian) at Carson Kitchen. Honestly, there isn't anything I've had that I didn't like. Additionally, they have a great selection of wines, liquors and great cocktails!
If you're ever in the SLC area, definitely add Carson Kitchen to your places to dine! I don't think you'll be dissappointed!

Hang out here with colleagues and truly enjoy foods here. Burger is juicy, risotto is creamy, fired chicken skin is definitely best of here especially eat with honey. Just a stone throw distance to old town Las Vegas (Fremont street experience). Parking here is just easy.
Tommy PizzaBoy
Good food and good customer service. It would be great to use a little more dressing on the salads and the burgers.
I would go back and recommend you to visit as well.

I attended a wedding celebration at Carson Kitchen. The staff was outstanding. They explained all of the food and how it would be served, the drinks, the order of service and Covid restrictions/issues (of course). They accommodated people who had special dietary needs which was nice because they actually created special dishes for them! (this was a large gathering with pre-planned eats) I was especially delighted with Matt (the "Master of Ceremonies" of sorts) and Chanel (the "Crème de la Crème" of service) They truly made the evening entertaining and the service was on-point! I'll be coming back numerous times to try the exceptional food choices they offer.. SO unique and DE-lish!

This is the spot! Ultra tasty, unique, sleek atmosphere and steadily brings great service. I've lived here 7 years and Carson Kitchen has been my go-to since the start!

I liked the atmosphere of this place. It has cute style with shared food that is budget friendly. The staff was helpful with selections also. I preferred being outside...great except the the occasional mma fighter popping out of the gym. Didn't Care for the Turkey Burger but...hey can't love everything. Great place to visit

Generally fantastic food with excellent service! One of my dishes was uncharacteristicly over salted and they immediately apologized and removed the dish from our bill. I highly recommend the chicken skins and the oxtail risotto. Also good and pictured are the deviled eggs, the pork belly, the green beans and the Caesar salad. the AH-MAZING!!

Carson's Kitchen, you will fall in love with this place. Love the ambience. Cool staff. We went there after busy day at work in Vegas. They have a good and short menu. The sea bass and lamb tacos are fab. They offer good choices for your appetizer. Make sure you call them and this place is too busy. They have a upper deck open seating arrangements. There is also a fire place in backyard of this restaurant. You can walk up to the Fremont Street after dinner from here. Must visit place when you go to Vegas. I have been there 3 times in one trip.

This place was great! I went for dinner with my mom. The atmosphere is really cool. Considering it is in Vegas, the prices seemed pretty decent for what you get at this small-plates restaurant. If you don’t like to share, this might not be the place for you!
We were seated at the bar in front of the kitchen so we got to see all the food coming out (and everything we saw looked amazing!). We ordered little beets (our fave of the 4 dishes we ordered), pecan and pear salad (delicious! But the pears tasted like they came from a can), Mac and cheese (a little bitter which was surprising, but a hefty portion considering this is a tapas place!), and gyro tacos (tasty, if you like gryos).
Overall, we would recommend this place and we would go back to try other dishes! Although we would not order the gyro tacos or the Mac and cheese again. Highly recommend little beets, though!!

With reservation it still takes a lot of time to be seated after you check in. It took about ~30/40 minutes after we checked in. It seems that on busy evenings they sit reservations of 2 at the counter instead of the tables. Our server was very nice though, and food came out quickly. Food is ok, didn't find it spectacular. The beet tartare was quite good, the burger was overcooked, considering we came especially for the burger, it was a bummer.
Eric Thompson
Amazing food. My buddy and I tried a bit of everything. It all came out at different times which was perfect because we ordered so much. Started out with the chicken skins very tasty and crispy the dipping sauce was dang good. Next came the bacon jam, it had a amazing flavor but the bread was a little stale but still good. Next was burnt ends, the smaller pieces tasted better to me but my buddy loved them all. Deviled eggs followed I never had caviar before but it brung everything together nice and creamy filling. Next came my favorite which I thought I was going to dislike the oxtail risotto the flavors were amazing. The steak came out next it was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. Last was the butter burger I was so full at this point as you can imagine but took a few bites and I wasn't disappointed.
Overall everything was amazing and can't wait to go back as I live right down the street. Brooke our waitress was super sweet and nice she kind of laughed at all the food we ordered. It took a little while to get seated but they have to bar so you can sit at while you wait.

Fine dining in an eclectic, industrial “hip-style” restaurant! The wait staff work in “rock and roll” t-shirts, and the managers dress casual biz casual. We came back for a second night, based upon our experience on night one. You could blindfold yourself, point to anything on the menu and be dazzled and amazed by theingredient combination, quality and presentation. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a five star restaurant! The food, service and atmosphere are an experience to behold!
Start your night with a selection from the “shaken and stirred” bar menu, you can’t go wrong. The same thought and planning that goes into the food pairings also happens at the bar.
Food wise, we tried the gyro tacos, followed by the poached pear and bleu salad, young beets, baked mac & cheese coupled with the Salmon and Cocoa-Espresso NY Strip. Long story short, all dishes prepared with excruciating attention to detail, a taste sensation, and the seared crusting on the NY Strip was to die for! We topped it all off with the bourbon fudge brownie with brown butter bacon ice cream! Wow!
Night two: We feasted on the charred octopus, followed by the devils eggs as appetizers. We then made our way through the broccoli crunch and wild mushroom flatbread. I can honestly tell you that everything was exceptional. The planning they put into their menu is outstanding, and the parings are exceptional!
Sit at the bar, where you can watch the food being prepared, and witness the amazing choreography of the entire staff; it is a sight to behold and a model of teamwork and efficiency. Special thanks to our waitress, Bridget, and managers Ethan and Arnold for their wonderful service.
chris
The service was excellent and the food was absolutely amazing. We had ordered nearly everything on the menu (I'm not even kidding) for 5 people it was definitely more than enough. The only issue I had was the volume inside. It was really loud and we had to tell at each other to hold conversations.
Hali K
Probably One of the best restaurant I’ve been to in a long while! Every morsel of food is beyond delicious and the staff is incredible. Rachel and her team are killing it
Tempura Green Beans
Short Rib steak
Brussels sprout Waldorf
Pumpkin soup
And 🥁 roll please.
Glazed Doughnut Bread pudding with 3 rhum caramel & Creme Anglaise!
Can’t wait to go back!!

My wife found this place after checking out some reviews on TripAdvisor and we went with family. The food was awesome! We ordered a variety of dishes and shared amongst each other. Everything tasted great! The standout items for me were the secret Sunday chicken sandwich and the Glazed donut bread pudding (the best bread pudding I've ever tasted). The restaurant was a little tricky to locate as there were no visible signage from the side we entered, but other than that, I can't really knock this place.
I will definitely be coming back here again when I'm in Vegas.
Jan Farris
Our family’s favorite restaurant of all time! We love everything from the deviled eggs to the truffle Mac & Cheese to the donut bread pudding! YUM! Looking forward to the city opening up so we can go back to Carson Kitchen!
Ryan Karatimus
One of my Vegas staples. I try to come here whenever I'm in town. People are friendly, food is great, cocktails are nice, and it's super close to the Freemont Experience. Reservations are generally a good idea. Great share plates, I try to get as many things as possible if I'm with a group.
Tami Caputo
Outstanding!! Best food downtown by a long mile!
Ordered rainbow roasted cauliflower, beet salad, secret Sunday chicken sandwich and lastly, glazed donut bread pudding for dessert. Oh.Em.Gee. all of it so freaking delicious! And our server, Felicia - adorable and sooo great! 5 stars for food and service 💖💖💖💖💖!!!
Brian Cooper
Amazing food, gotta try the coco steak, pepperoni flat bread, eggs, tater tots, Mac n 🧀 and maple bacon ice cream/ brownie with bacon 🥓 …
K. V.
The service is 5 star, the food is 5 star.
My fav is always the devil's eggs, but definitely try the fried chicken skins with hot honey.
Their MOST AMAZING thing on the menu, though, is the BREAD PUDDING. Order that first if you need to. It's so good you'll dream about it for years and years. No other bread pudding comes even close to this one. I find that I cannot and will not share it. The whole thing is mine. No sharies. If you share .. be ready to order a second one to share.
11/4/22 I was just informed the menu is getting some new items! Super excited to know what those are and try them!
Jeanna
This is one of our favorite places to come when we are in Las Vegas! The food is ALWAYS awesome. The attention to detail here was very noticable! Nice people with a great vibe. Loved being able to watch the chef's at work while we had our lunch. Will of course be back again... Cheers!
Eric Lorenzen
The deviled eggs with caviar was such a neat twist on a classic. The fattoush salad was amazing. Great spicy heat with orange flavor. Portions are small, so come here when you want new not huge. Salad is deeper than photo shows and was good size.
Doug Cisler
I had heard really good things about Carson's kitchen so I was excited when I got the chance to eat there last night. There was only a short wait 15 to 20 minutes. We were able to get seats at the bar why we waited. The menu is small but Mighty. All of the selections were very unique. The tragedy green beans, chicken skins, Wicked shrimp, and the bacon Jam. Each of them were incredible in their own ways and had very unique flavors. I actually highly recommend all four of these menu items. They were also good. I wish I could have ordered more. After letting down all sit for a while, I did order dessert. The bread pudding was absolutely amazing. I was also able to try a bite of the brownie with brown butter bacon ice cream which was also incredible. Bottom line is I highly recommend this place. If you were in downtown Las Vegas you need to come eat here.
Stephanie Mitchell
Delicious, Service was excellent thank you Laura.. and to top it off Felicia (bartender) made an amazing cocktail for Sunday brunch, we loved it so we bought 9🤗😋 .. …

This place is a must if you're going to Fremont Street. The vibes and food are amazing! It actually curbed my home sickness (from Calgary, AB, Canada) as the people and atmosphere were so welcoming :) definitely the most memorable meal of our trip! xo

Absolutely fantastic night at Carson Kitchen , Crispy Chicken Skin and Pork Wing(belly) sealed the deal. Creative menu, attentive & friendly services made a very memorable dinning experience. Great job team Carson Kitchen

Carson Kitchen is a great place to add to your regular weekly dinners. My wife and I were introduced to this downtown gem through an old friend who dines here on the regular. We literally order 90% of the menu to try everything. Both our wives are pregnant so it was a feast to say the least. Everything we tried was delish. It was one of those dinners where you know you’re full but didn’t want to stop eating. After dinner we made a reservation for the following week. The food was that good. You definitely need to try this place out, it’s worth the drive to downtown.
Alberto Diaz
The food was amazing. Everything I tasted had so much flavor. The bacon jam with brie, the NY Strip, pork belly, tempura green beans, devils egg, and a Get Shorty drink to go with my meal! A few buddies took me there on my last day at Vegas and so glad this was it!
Lance Hill
We tried the Frog legs, the Bacon Jam and the Hatch Chili Philly and all were great!
First time having frog legs, I feel they set the bar high.
I would recommend for anyone in the area to stop by.
Melanie
Service was amazing. We got there at around 5pm and it was relatively empty. We got the fried chicken skin which was amazing! The honey dip was the perfect complement. The NY strip steak and blackened catfish was awesome as well. Small caveat is that these main dishes don't come with sides in general. Steak dish was just steak with the glaze. Catfish was the fish with a small amount of slaw garnish which I found to be enough of a side. Their Mac n Cheese was great.
Brett Martensen
Amazing food and service. Truly one of the best meals I've had. You are missing out if you don't eat here when you have the chance.
Kevin Below
We tried Carson Kitchen while on a food tour and beleive we have a new favorite downtown restaurant to go to. Staff was perfect. Absolutely loved the pork belly and wanted to order more. The watermelon with feta salad was amazing and never would of thought to add those combinations out. Cannot wait for our next trip back to vegas.
Cyndi Graham
We love this place. The chefs are friendly. The service is 5 star and the green beans are worthy of a repeat.
Update: tried the fried pig skins. Unbelievably delicious.
Didn’t swear so I didn’t have to put anything in the swear jar...

A cozy restaurant near Fremont street with great service and even better food. It is an American tapas themed restaurant, with all the foods being made to share. The staff are all very nice, and the service was very quick! My sister and I shared 4 plates - the crispy chicken skins, the squid ink spaghetti, the green, eggs, and ham flatbread, and the baked mac & cheese. The squid ink spaghetti was my favourite dish, with the flatbread being my second. The baked mac & cheese was very tasty as well, but is made with truffle oil which I am not a big fan of. The manager threw in a free order of the spicy tater tots (they usually come with any of the burgers/sandwiches) because he overheard my sister say she wanted to try them - very nice of him! We shared the glazed donut bread pudding for dessert and loved it, and a bottle of Loosen Dr. L Riesling which was recommended by our waiter. I definitely recommend this restaurant, it is far better than a lot of the other restaurants we tried on the strip and it is well priced as well.

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas, and I go there every time I'm in town. Menu's always changing, so you won't ever be able to have the same thing, but this time around they had a chicken thigh dish that was absolutely incredible! Highly recommend just ordering at the bar too if there's a wait. It's full service at the bar, and the bartenders are super friendly and knowledgeable.

This foodie loves Carson Kitchen. Where do I even start?! Pork chop...amazing! Sea bass...oh yum! Their unique cocktails are delish! And the donut bread pudding...groannnn, love at first sight and bite! The outdoor patio in the back is eclectic and comfy. Love being able to watch the chefs prepare the food. And the staff...friendly and educated on what they're serving! Can't wait to get on their rooftop deck!
Mandar
The food is really good here, a bit on the pricier side, but really good. Keep one thing in mind before going in though, the portions are really really small. They do warn you when they come to take your order though. Fun restroom sign, see pictures.

Great old school location, great share plates and service was outstanding! Cool, funky vibe and very reasonable! We seek out unique, non-chain restaurants when visiting cities and this is our new go-to restaurant in Vegas!!
Firstly, the location seems to be in a seedier part of town that is revitalizing. It's located in a repurposed motel. Downstairs is somewhat noisy, upstairs is really nice. We were seated at the kitchen counter which was really fun watching the kitchen choreography. They take such care and truly seem to love what they do.
We ordered 5 share plates. Three were outstanding, two...meh.
Starting with our favs:
--Beet salad was outstanding! Great combination of the beets, goat cheese and honey. I'll dream about this one!
--Tempura green beans, again outstanding especially when it was hot. As it cooled, it was good but not great.
--Devil's eggs, very tasty. We ordered it w/o caviar since we're not much of a fan of caviar. Our neighbors had it with caviar and said the caviar wasn't overpowering and not very salty.
The ones we could have done without:
--Grilled Artichokes - the meat inside the leaves was still very hard and the aioli was really spicy. I'm from New Orleans, we love our grilled artichokes but we boil them before grilling to make the leaf meat very tender. Maybe if they offered another option for those of us that can't tolerate spicy hot like a lemon aioli?
--Bourbon brownie dessert - I was sooo hopeful with this one! The fudge brownie was way too dense and even though I thought bacon would be good on anything...not this one. Judging by other reviews on desserts, seems they should revamp the dessert menu.
Our neighbors shared that the Pig and Fig Flatbread and mac n cheese were amazing. They let me try the Bacon Jam and I'm glad I tried it before ordering...not a fan of that one either.
Cute way they give you the check. It's in an old book and they encourage you to write a note. Overall, we will definitely be back when we return to Vegas. Still so much to try!!
Ryan Bridgen
This place was great. The food was fantastic, the place looks great and the service was excellent. We ordered the tempura green beans(holy cow), the veal meatballs(excellent), the chicken burger(highly recommend), jerk turkey burger(excellent) and the butter burger(highly recommend). Overall great time and great food. Will definitely be back.
Tonia Jackson
Had the opportunity to sit at the chef's counter and saw all the food as it left the kitchen. That was great in itself, but the food was all amazing too. Great experience.
Drew Barnett
Love Carson kitchen. Been there pre and post covid and loved it both times. I love the atmosphere. Outdoor veranda with music. Great service and cool being able to see the kitchen work.
Darline Jones
Went on a foodie adventure with my husband. Upon being seated we were told they specialize in sharable dishes..
I feel like we tried half the menu. Started with the chicken skin crisps served with honey on the side. The mac & cheese (hubbs favorite) the cocoa- espresso crusted steak, the gyro tacos and finally the oxtail risotto. Needless to say a lot of food... The bill came to about $70 before tip. Small place, I could see it getting packed on a Friday night. Not a bad time, you can pay for street parking and the address says 6th st but it's facing Carson.
Boilers83
Tried this spot for the first time last Saturday. The crispy chicken skins and mac n cheese were fantastic! Place is relatively small but super cozy. Definitely recommend if you're in downtown LV!
Ami McKinney
I love the atmosphere of this place and everyone working here was very friendly. We were seated at the bar/food prep area. At first, I was a little skeptical of this seating arrangement, but then I realized we would get to see how they prepped the most amazing dishes and see what I would order next time. I ordered the broccoli salad and it was delicious! It was cool and crisp. The size was appropriate and I felt like it is a good choice for lunch or a light dinner. This is someplace I will visit again in the future.
Gena E
The food was very good. Kind of small servings for a share with the table kind of meal. The drinks were strong and tastey. Kind of a dress sort of place.
Mrs CST
Food was really delicious, just a little pricey. Nonetheless it was a vacation so didn't mind spending a little extra. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the shared table seating. The gentleman at the table where we were sat were not happy that we were sat with them. Made for some awkwardness.

Without a doubt this was easily one of my favorite places to eat in Vegas.
The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, the kitchen staff were on point, and the service was attentive. I enjoyed how perfectly prepared the burger and tots were. I was yearning for some comfort food and this place hit the nail on the head.
After my meal, I almost ordered an appetizer because everything that went through the window/pass looked great. Instead, my server suggested the bread pudding and I caved in. it was the best bread pudding I've ever had. Each bite was incredible.
I know the next time I come to Vegas, I'll be back.
Sunflower Compassionate Company
I would show you exactly how delicious but I ate everything 😂. Great food, great atmosphere and awesome music. …
Valerie S
Definitely recommend the gyros tacos appetizer and the pork tenderloin. They were exceptionally good. We ordered the chicken sandwich and deviled eggs, too, but it was the pork that stole the show for us. And I don't even care for it normally. Their preparation made it delicious..I would go back just for that.
Patrick Cordell
Pre 60 bday celebration loved it!! Deviled eggs are still the bomb!! Had chicken thighs, roasted cauliflower, Mac n Chs and the donut bread pudding!!

Seating is a little odd. It's weird to have the cooks directly in front of you. Asked to move to another table which was also a little awkward. It's not a very cozy place. It's small and very loud. Couldn't have a solid conversation with out having to say "what?" every few seconds.
The food however was unbelievably good. Don't go here on a first date or when you want to have a conversation with people. But go here when you want a good meal.

Let me start by sayin, that I heard alot about this place. I'm here t let'cha know they dont disappoint. The rainbow trout, turkey jerk burger and deviled eggs were all good. The service was excellent cabt wait to come back and try some of their dishes.
Jessica Bolduc
We walked in without reservations and they happily sat us at their small bar which was perfect. We simply had a couple beers with burgers, and the Glazed Donut Bread Pudding was amazing. The small dishes looked delicious as well, and the bartender was very busy making delicious drinks for many people. Would definitely come back to try more. And a little fun with signing the book your check came in.
Marc Reynolds
We had a rare opportunity to gather with old friends who happened to be in the Las Vegas area at the same time, and wanted to share a meal that was more than the ordinary.
After reading reviews and menus for several establishments Carson Kitchen appeared to be just what we were looking for, and they were able to accommodate our party of nine on relatively short notice. We were not disappointed; the atmosphere, food, and attentive and accommodating staff made our impromptu reunion a memorable experience.
Courtney Manire
Amazing food, absolutely recommend for anyone! I will definitely be coming back for the food and atmosphere!
Stewart Wattson
This is a hip, chi-chi local's place. A meal for 3 was $78 before tip with no alchohol. (3 sandwiches, 2 salads, 3 sodas) The food was all delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming. We were there on a too windy day, but they had very nice outdoor eating and hanging out spaces. The food was very good. The staff was quick and attentive. BUT, they make a big point in that the food will not be held to be served all at once. I was OK with this when I thought the appetizers may come at different times or even behind entrees. But we order 3 hamburgers and they came at different times. How do hamburgers all ordered at the same time come out so far apart one is done eating while the others at the table haven't got their food yet? And all the non alchoholic drinks are small and no refills. I can recommend it if you like trendy or are visiting and want a non-casino meal; but style doesn't Trump substance that much for me.
Derek Martinez
This place was AMAZING! I think the only thing better than the food and drinks was how awesome our server (Alec) was for my girlfriend and I. We had 3 dishes and we honestly couldn’t tell you which one we liked better and this is the first time I have EVER had this conundrum. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you are staying on Fremont street or hell, if you’re in Vegas! “It’s worth the trip if you’re not on the strip!” (Y’all can use that one 😎) my recommendations are the Mac n cheese, the chicken sandwich and the Spicy shrimp. I will definitely eat here again when I come back to Vegas.

Long overdue review for Carson Kitchen. Had my wedding reception here on 4/9/22. The restaurant was a massive hit amongst all our guests and the eclectic food options were very much appreciated.
We had our reception in the patio area with ~35 attendees. The event went wonderfully well thanks to the amazing staff.
The servers assigned to our area were very professional, courteous and patient. They were on point with serving our six course menu and drinks were generously flowing through.
The patio space was also very well maintained and had enough space for people to walk around and socialize in between bites.
Could not have asked for better execution. My wife and I will forever cherish the memory of our wedding day and could not be more grateful to the Carson Kitchen team for hosting us.
Would highly recommend based on dining and quality of service.

French toast, garbage Hash and chicken skins were delicious! The service was great too.
HIGHSPEED Magazine
Delicious food. Great atmosphere and service. The Chicken thighs are amazing as is the Mac n Cheese.
Michael Turner
Wow, the Devils eggs are a great starter! Perfectly proportioned bacon and caviar make this appetizer phenomenal. We (a party of two) were seated immediately during lunch hour on a Sunday. I had the burger, ordered medium, and it was amazing. Great flavor and precisely cooked to medium. The tater tots were a great addition. Not your traditional tots, they had a unique flavor. Very cozy atmosphere, it struck me as a great place to have a meal and a drink before hitting the town on a date. I will definitely return for the chicken sandwich! It looked awesome!
Mike Vencel
Fantastic place. We managed to score a seat at the counter and got to watch them make the food. Everything was made with fresh ingredients and handled with care. Our food was excellent also. We ordered the shareable plates of Crawfish Tacos, Crispy Chicken Skin and the Killer Shrimp. Out of the three the Killer Shrimp was my favourite, it had the right amount of heat and the shrimp wasn't over cooked. I also recommend getting the devilled eggs, I must've watched about 60 being prepared and they looked so good. If I had any room after my meal I would've orders some.
I also liked the vibe of the place. It was very low key and cool if that makes sense. Next time I'm in Vegas I plan on going back for sure.
Danijel Bacelic
This place is NOT the one every foodie needs to visit, but our is the REASON every foodie needs to go to Las Vegas. Food is absolutely great and innovative but still simple and domestic. Choice of drinks like beer and wine by the glass is representative and should meet all tastes. Definitely a place to visit
Nette Rab
Wow, this gem is tucked away and hidden from the crowded area of Vegas. Located on the far end East of the Freemont Experience, just a few steps lol (ok a lot). Located on 6th St and Carson and away from the hustle and bustle of drunk people.
Indoor and outdoor seating available. We opt to sit outside. See photo. So relaxing. There's a fire pit so in the winter this would be a great spot to hangout.
Service was great and the workers were very nice.
Food:
• Chicken Skin
• Devil's Egg
• Tempura Green Beans
• Killer Shrimp
The Tempura Green Beans were AMAZING! I would highly recommend it. Next favorite would be the killer shrimp. Great flavors. I was not a fan of the chicken skin. I'll leave it at that. I think I'm biased because filipino's make some good skin.
My BF thought the devil egg was just alright.
Overall, I would definitely return and try different dishes.
Steve Swanson
Had the Gyro Tacos among other offerings...Excellent. Made all the better by the wait staff and pleasant indoor dining atmosphere. Definitely on my go back to list.
N Bailey
Carson Kitchen was the first stop on our Finger licking Foodie tour. Met the manager David and we had 850 in common. Went back 2 days later to get the glazed donut bread pudding. Adding to our Vegas rotation. Chicken Skins are bomb too
Mark Peveler
Our old upgraded restaurant. They did everything we wanted to do! Great food and friendly environment. Unique tastes.
Kayla Slaymaker
Absolutely LOVED the Kitchen! Food was delicious and reasonably priced, the staff was super attentive, everything down to the lighting, decor, & atmosphere was perfect.
Vincent Martinez
We went as part of the Downtown Finger lickin foodie tour. Everything was fantastic. The Watermelon feta salad was refreshing, the Devil's Egg was delectable, the Crispy Chicken Skins with Smoked Honey were a treat, and they found a way to make cauliflower taste good.
Maegan Stephenson
I absolutely love Caron Kitchen! We’ve been multiple times, typically as a nice evening out or when friends and family come into town. The cocktails are spectacular and the ox tail risotto is superb!
Katrina Nabong
I've been to this restaurant many times and they never disappoint. During this visit, I brought a friend from out of town and she enjoyed it as well. Our server was excellent. He knew the menu inside and out and made recommendations. We sat at counter and talked with the sous chef (I think). We watched him make the Devils Eggs and the Beet Salad. We ended up ordering both. I will definitely be back!
Joel Botzek
Try to stop here everytime I go to Vegas. Really good food. The Mac and cheese is phenomenal.
Devon Goodlow
Great food and service. Open kitchen so you can watch the chefs get down. Warning you'll leave in a food coma!
Tiffany Rankin
Delicious! I will be sure to ask for more Boursin in the Butter Burger next time, but it was yummy! The Spicy Shrimp & Mac 'n' Cheese are bomb-diggidy! The Briwnie with Butter Bacon Ice Cream was superb! My date was pretty amazing as well, a great place for out door dining! The art in the alley was phenomenal! Absolutely worth every penny!
Melissa Cure
This place is amazing. Go here! The drinks and food are so delicious!!!
Ehud Persitz
We were a group of 4 and tried a wide variety of things. All were excellent but the devil eggs, Caesar's salad and killer shrimps excelled.
Cocktail were also great.
Cruz Hero
Great food and people! Would definitely recommend to friends and family! The fried chicken skin was unexpected but it was amazing! Definitely a must!
Tom Kastorff
Highly anticipated and highly recommended! Scratch made food. Bomb pizza. Cute interior. Nest location with the art decorated alleyways behind it. Great service. Will be back!
Steve Schwartz
Excellent food, must try chicken thighs. Service was engaged and knowledgeable. Ate outside, nice atmosphere. Upstairs only available for events. White and Rose we're chilled in refrigerator.
David Thomson
Great service (thanks Brooke), fun menu, very reasonable priced. Though the drink menu is not huge, it's very good and will have something for everyone. My group shared some of their meal. The gyro tacos, the Hot Italian (sandwich) were outstanding. I would love to review their desserts, but we were to full too try them. This is worth going out of your way.
Cait Demers
Great local food spot. Love being downtown and the food here is great. Humbly sized place with great atmosphere. We’ve been several times over the years and it never disappoints. We usually make a rezzie here if someone is visiting and we wanna visit downtown
Aasar Patel
Food was delicious and very flavoursome. Restaurant had a great vibe! Would recommended the Short Rib Steak and Oxtail Risotto.
Richard Lander
A complete surprise downtown Vegas. I wasn't expecting to find it clever restaurant downtown Vegas. In the land of buffets and steaks this restaurant is a complete surprise. Clever menu and great setting. This is the tempura beans and cauliflower dish.
Traci Tessone
Service was excellent, cocktails great but though food was good it wasn't amazing, I guess I was expecting better. Do I regret going, no...will I go back, probably not.
Priscilla Mendes
Found this place by accident a couple years ago and so glad we did! Been here 3 times now and amazing chicken sandwich, chicken thighs and love love the tempura green beans. Dessert was also fabulous and can’t go wrong trying this place.
Tessah Chalmers
Wow!!!! Mind-blowing. The drinks are well balanced and delicious!!!! The food was on point!!!!!! We had Steven as our server and I have to say it's the best service we've ever had. He was super nice, knowledgeable, helpful. Thank you, you are AWESOME. We will be back. Great price, amazing food, phenomenal service!!!!!!! Great pick.
Eric Hendry
Eating at Carson Kitchen was just special. Everything from the food to the atmosphere was exceptional and at a great price point. The oxtail risotto is something truly memorable. It’s the type of wacky creative dish done well that makes a truly great American restaurant. Top notch friendly service to boot.
Brian Moto
Best meal I've had in Las Vegas. Great service, excellent bar (loved the Manhattan), and meal. Try the watermelon and cucumber salad and Alabama chicken thighs.
Marcus Ariza
Our hotel recommend us to you guys and I'm so glad they did because this place was amazing the food and drinks were outstanding the fried chicken skins were our favorite highly recommend all of the worker were very nice and helpful our waitress I think her name was Rebekah she was awesome definitely gonna be our new hang out when we came to Vegas
Amanda Johnson (Amanda Rose Sellers)
A reeeeeally wonderful meal and a very good setting. Great menu and wish I was local so I could eat it all!
Linda Pogor
We held our wedding dinner here and it was fantastic!
Matt was a fabulous host. He called me to let me know it was too windy to be up on the patio so they set us up in the courtyard with heaters. It was great.
Marcus L
Awesome lunch and brunch spot.... Chicken skin and Devil eggs to die for
Cody Holland
This place was amazing. Must stop here when visiting Vegas. No matter what you get for your entree, I recommend the burnt ends for appetizer and the bacon ice cream for dessert. So good.
Robert Mobley
Great food. Kendall was a fantastic server. Very attentive. Their bread pudding is wonderful!
Douglas Hall
Wow, this place is awesome. I don't know if this will come across, but this place "felt real" and the food was AMAZING. The flavors were married magically. (I used magically on purpose)
Ben Carson
Great location and staff. The food is excellent and priced well, especially for Vegas
tatertacoma
Some really good and interesting menu items. The Crispy Chicken Skins were really good as well as the Secret Sunday Chicken Sandwich! Great food, I Hope to be able to go here again!
Darcy Wiens
This is by far one of the best places in Las Vegas the food is fantastic and not overpriced like so many places on the strip. Make this a must go to place.
Simon Wong
After some research on tripadvisor this was a highly rated restaurant in the Fremont street area, it was a few blocks away from Fremont in a quieter area. We were seated with a view of the kitchen area and could see the chef's preparing our food. We went for the catfish sandwich and steak, both of which were divine. The staff were attentive and friendly, the dessert was very nice too. I would return again for sure.
caleb wolfe
This was just average for me. The location is nice and clean. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The portions were not that great. I thought the overall value was not there. The gyro tacos did not taste like gyros. The burger tasted good but was overpriced in my opinion. We went there based on all the reviews and were underwhelmed.
Vonn Voyage
Great food. Friendly service.
All our food was super tasty and we could see it being cooked up in front of us as we sitting at the counter. Would highly recommend.
Monica D
Carson Kitchen is always spot on with delicious food that will tantalize your palette. Today we ate the delectable flatbread with pears, blue cheese and it was delicious. The customer service is always wonderful and delightful will definitely go back for more. soon :-)
Hunter Milner
Some of the best food and great shareable set up. I really like that they bring out the food as it's ready so the whole time we had a steady flow of food coming to the table. The killer shrimp was the perfect amount of spicy but the pork belly and mac and cheese stole the show!
I would love to come back many times over just for the Mac and cheese. We sat inside but it sounds like the out door area is even better.
Kalyn Kadam
My husband and I decided to do a day trip to Vegas. This was honestly one of the last places that showed up on Google and we decided to try it out. And we were not disappointed. The gyro tacos were absolutely delicious. We got an order or 3 instead of 4 and my husband wished instantly we had ordered the 4 instead. The clam chowder was also very good. And wasn’t sure heavy to eat. We also got the NY steak, which was cooked to perfection. We were both very impressed. And our waiter was super friendly and gave us his recommendations. Would recommend this place to everybody
Karen R
I love everything about this place! When you walk to it from Fremont Street, you don't think it'll be as great as it is. But it is truly a GEM!
The food is family style, so everyone gets to dig in and try it all. Their food is also seasonal, so don't expect to see some of the dishes you see on Google. Everything we had was DELICIOUS! I would describe it, but since it's seasonal, you might not see it when you read this.
Vegas Girl
Overall, pretty good food. Our server Alex (I believe), was super sweet and helpful. The pork belly and killer shrimp were to die for. I want more. The crispy skins were yummy only when hot, but missing a little kick for me. Bacon jam was good, but also needs to be eaten while hot. The flatbread was just ok. A bit disappointed with the glazed donut pudding. Though tasty, it would have been better served warm. I have a culinary background, so my taste buds are picky. I will still be going back here. So much potential of good food and good service to experience.
Osvaldo Calle
Love coming for lunch. Today was special, my wife came down and we had an awesome lunch together.
Tanya Shetayh
This place is hard to get a reservation last minute for brunch but somehow we were able to the weekend after new years eve. Everything was delicious. The stand out dish for me was the bacon jam with havarti served with baguette slices. It comes out in a piping hot mini cast iron and the bread is perfectly toasted. Service is top notch. Highly recommend.
Stacy Graber
Food is incredible, they have very inventive food and drinks. I suggest making a reservation.
Jessica Bloomer
We had a private party of 18 people at Carson Kitchen on the roof top after we got married and it was perfect! They had a set menu for courses but accommodated our dietary restrictions easily. All of the food was phenomenal. Everyone I spoke with before the event and on site during the event were so friendly and accommodating. From start to end, it was an incredible experience.
Jennifer Carson
We ate here for our last night in town and it was outstanding! Sarah was a wonderful server and helped us navigate the menu. All of her recommendations were fantastic. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed Carson Kitchen. Highly recommend!!
Brian Roth
Amazing experience. Fantastic food and even better staff. Must-do when in Vegas!
Jacob DeWeerd
One of the best meals I've ever had at a restaurant. Right off the bat, our waitress recommended the oxtail risotto (and said it was the reason she applied there) and it was AWESOME. Our party of 5 also tried the tempura green beans, chicken thighs, mac and cheese, deviled eggs, the NY strip, and the short rib. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. We also got to try a dessert for free (glazed donut bread pudding) which was SO nice, but we could barely finish it. If I'm ever in Vegas again, I'll be back.
Scott Comey (Turn The Dial Coaching)
Went here for an event on their upstairs outside area. They didn't provide enough tables for people to place their plates on. The food also seemed to run out fairly quickly and it took a minute to replenish which was frustrating. They also ran out of serving plates early on and we had to ask for more. Other than that, the bar tender was amazing and all of the drinks tasted good. The food we got was also very delicious and the location near old town Vegas was also great.
Brad Barker
Really good food, we went as part of a tasting tour. Unique takes on comfort food. Highly recommend.
Akshat Goel
By far the best Mac and Cheese and chicken thighs I've ever eaten. Surreal ambience, delicious food and amazing service.
Hannah Perle
Delicious food! The food is an American style with some cool twists. Good drinks and definitely good burgers. The strung bean tempura was also very tasty
Jim Dwyer
Wow, what an incredible dinner. Service was excellent. Cocktails are Devine. When we’re traveling it’s hard to find a place that hits it out of the park with food, drinks and service. Carson Kitchen is a dining experience not to be missed.
Denise Dowell
Just ate at Carson Kitchen on Mother’s Day and it was wonderful! Service and food, absolutely excellent. We had an issue with our online reservation and would have had to wait an hour and a half. We were super disappointed and anywhere else on Mother’s Day would have been full as well. All that to say, the manager showed up for us and got us seated. We are so grateful and the experience made it all worth it. Go to Carson Kitchen, you won’t regret it!
Julius Niskey
"Come on now you already know this one of the best places for eat and drink downtown."-2019
2022> I am their biggest fan. I lived in Vegas for many years and came here the first week they opened. During CoVid we moved to Minneapolis. I woke up one day jumped on a plane and flew to Vegas to share with my friends the best restaurant in Vegas. There's no reason to go anywhere else just here.
What I recommend? Start off with the chicken skins, bacon jam, deviled eggs, and green beans. Then try one of the Flatbread dishes. If your still hungry and want to end with something special make it either the NY Strip or Pacific Cod.
Everyone has a favorite Server mine is Ms. Sarah. She's awesome. Everyone also has a great bartender. Unfortunately you will never be able to experience Geronimo's Drinks at Carson Kitchen. But you will be able to experience the flavorful and quality drinks of his predecessors.
Carson Kitchen is the place to bring friends and families together for a great time, great food, great drinks, and lots of laughter.
Lex English
Absolutely excellent. The mac and cheese is incredible, the steak was great. All outstanding, and the format of small dishes to share is great.
Update - came back for lunch a couple years later. Still just as amazing. Very nice to come during the lighter lunch hours when it's not as packed. Wonderful place.
Jezhel Kres Embalzado
Last night my boyfriend and I went here for dinner. We had such a great time! The food is incredible. My boyfriend told me that we should come back cause he likes the food not to mention they had a friendly staff.
Ian Paulson
A perfect place for any Lip smacking foodie!
John W. Sheldon
Carson Kitchen is one of my favorite food spots in Las Vegas. No visit to the city is complete for me without a meal at Carson Kitchen.
The food is creative and well-prepared, and the cocktails are excellent. Prices are fairly reasonable, and the location is a moment's walk from the Fremont Street Experience.
Well worth the shot if you like modern American cuisine.
Lori McDonald
Absolutely in love with his place. My taste buds were exploding. Try the deep fried skins and Chicken thighs with Alabama white barbecue sauce. Yum
In My Opinion
This was the first stop in the first of 3 on a food tour
while in Vegas. I'm giving them a 5 because the food
was absolutely amazing! The devil's eggs were next level delicious. Pork skins were fun and the honey dipping sauce was a nice addition. Roasted cauliflower was crunchy and well balanced. The last dish I don't remember the name but was also fire. Because of what they offered, I will definitely be back. 10/10.
The bad" thing was the guy the opened the door. We
got there a bit early, doors were locked so we waited till 11:30 when they opened. We checked the doors again at 11:33 and they were still locked but "the guy" was approaching and began the unlock the door. The look he gave my husband was just glaring. Like he was annoyed to be opening. I saw it from behind and was kinda of shocked. He did get a bit better as the tasting went on, he came by once and asked how everything was. It was simply off putting and a bit rude.
Anyway, food was fantastic. Maybe "the guy" was
having a bad day. We will always stop by when in town.
James Kenner
Amazing food, drinks, and service. It is an awesome experience and a must do while in Las Vegas. The food is fresh and well plated. For such a great menu the cost is more than reasonable. Would recommend this place to anyone with discerning taste. Favorite was the caviar deviled eggs. Wow.
Brian Turner
Fantastic food, bartender from Wisconsin was great.
Turn to page 34/35 in your tab novel for a surprise from Ted.
Brad Peyton
Pleasantly surprised. Love the “Devil’s” Eggs and Secret Sunday Chicken with spicy tots. Eat here if you like food.
Jeff Sparrow
Unique dining experience. Food was very good. Service was great. Would recommend to try if close to Fremont Street?
Michael Cerdeiros
So many great food options here. The burnt end hotdogs are amazing. Great place to share plates.
Johnny “Johnny's good life tips” Even
Cool place near Fremont St
Great cocktails, yummy food tapas style
Quick and friendly service
Crystal Estrella
The service was definitely top knotch and the short rib steak was excellent. I would have probably preferred to sit outside. We sat kitchen side and was a bit loud and uncomfortable.
laura alvarez
Thursday night no reservations about a 10 min wait. A few blocks from the D hotel
We ordered a bunch of appetizers all were amazing.
Mathew Beshears
Best restaurant in Vegas. I would come here over any strip restaurant without question.
Piotr Rozenfeld
Visited this place for an early dinner, with a party of 8, no defined expectations... Left satisfied and smiling :)
Truffle mac & cheese and killer shrimps were a highlight today.
Natalie Wan
love this restaurant! the atmosphere is perfect and the food is amazing! definitely recommend!
Sande Kouba
Interesting menu options. Amazing staff.
Brian V
Great food and good times up here. Everything was delicious. So much that I usually have a few adult beverages with my meal, but all the food was soooooo great I could only drink one.
Melissa Piacenza
One of the most unique culinary experiences I've ever had! The bacon jam is extra planetary, but the mac n cheese should be illegal! Friendly staff, great atmosphere.... Nothing but love for this place!
Shawn Miller
Really enjoyed the meatloaf and potatoes! Great drinks too! I will go back again!!!
Angelina Lilly
The Service, Food and atmosphere A+ all around...I wanted my steak cooked well done - The absolute best New York Strip I have ever had ! There are a few restaurants that could learn how to cook a well done steak..We loved this place!
Heather Castaneda
We had a great meal at Carson Kitchen. We started with the tempura green beans. They were crisp and delicious. We then had the pork belly which was tender with just the right amount of spice. The shrimp was a little too spicy for my liking personally but everyone else at the table loved it. The oxtail risotto was rich and creamy. You just couldn't stop eating it. The macaroni and cheese was kid and adult approved. The pizza was all delicious. There was not a single thing we ordered that we would not order again. Definitely a great meal.
Natalie Bachich
Wonderful! We needed a big break from the strip and a friend who lives locally recommended Carson Kitchen. Extra tasty food and the best service! Chanel was an excellent guide through the menu and John the manager checked in on us frequently. Great, local spot. Definitely will dine again at Carson Kitchen on our next Vegas work trip.
Sarah Kaiser-Schatzlein
The food was fantastic. Meats cooked perfectly. Cocktails were delicious. Service exceptional.
Patricia Jacobs
The chicken skins and deviled eggs are amazing. I went there for a food tour and those items were outstanding.
Deah Puryear
We found Carson Kitchen by doing a Google search for area restaurants with interesting food. Great staff, absolutely wonderful food. Wish I could say I'd be back next week but I'm only here for vacation. If you are local, this is worthy of frequent visits. If you are vacationing, it is worth your time to seek this one out.
WADE WILSON
Had a super awesome man date here. The food is very on point.
Kristi Funk
We had dinner there a few nights ago and it was amazing. We had a large group (12 people), and Ethan went out of his way to make room for us even though we didn't have a reservation. Everything we had was great. Thank you so much Carson Kitchen!!
James Avenoso
Great spot to dine, far better value than any casino can give.
Julie Hudson
I was expecting much better. I wouldn’t go again. The food seems innovative but it actually doesn’t taste great. The risotto was especially weird, and we couldn’t finish it. We were excited about the chicken skins, but they were so dry and peppered with mesquite or something that made them taste more like pork. I was hoping for the type of chicken skin you get on a roasted chicken but these were deep fried —and for too long. There wasn’t a single thing I enjoyed of the many things we ordered.
Andrew Fehlhaber
Loved the food! Definitely recommend the New York strip steak. The food portions are small, so expect to spend $150- $175 per couple with drinks if you are looking to walk out full.
Yoshiyuki John Yamada
Really unique dishes like fired chicken skins with a honey dipping sauce and black rice and oxtail risotto. My favorite was the warm spinach salad. Very nice folks who were able to accommodate us on a Saturday night without reservations but I wouldn't risk it the next time we're in town. We'll make to call ahead.
Joe Bevins
Great food. Dessert was awesome. Service was top notch.
Ellen Schwarz
I've heard good things about this place for a very long time. Wait until we had friends in from out of town. Brought them for a rooftop dinner.
Only to find out that they would not see this on the roof.
And the meals were very disappointing.
I'm all for a cool vibe. When the music is so loud that you can't hear your waiter screaming the specials at you, they might want to turn it down a notch.
My oxtail risotto was delicious. That's the only food that came to the table that got a positive review.
Kat Johnson
This place was great, highly recommend. They had lots of small bites for your group to share so you could try a variety of things. Highly recommend bacon jam, chicken skins, and the lamb gyros, and oxtail rissotto. Everything we had was seasoned very well and was delicious. Loved the industrial vibe inside. This would be a great date place. Really enjoyed our visit would definitely come back. Wish I took photos because the presentation was top notch but I was too busy stuffing my face.
Enrique Cafaro
Came here based on recommendations and reviews. Nice vibe, good service, waitress was sweet, hard-working and effecient. Would have given more stars but unfortunately food had weaknesses, surprisingly since that was supposed to be strong point. Warm spinach salad to start worked really well and was a hit. sausage Flatbread was crispy and delicious but was strangely and awkwardly cut up. My wife tried their showcase burger that was well done and dry although had asked for medium. I had their signature chicken sandwich which comes on a fat and bready brioche bun. Chicken was crispy fried but extremely salty. Both sandwiches were not the worst but I would have expected better from here. Accompanying tater tots were amazing, crisp and seasoned nicely. Dessert was a disappointment, had a pineapple upside down crumbcake, flavor was nice but no sign of pineapple and covered with dried cherries from the spinach salad. Could also have used some whipped cream or ice cream.
Ksenia
Our experiences wasn’t very pleasant. Customer service is horrible. We got greeted by the girl and said we have no reservations and automatically she shoved us to the bar without even asking if that’s something we want. The restaurant was half empty. So I came and asked her if all the empty tables are reserved or if we could seat them and got rude answer that we are sitting at the bar. It was odd. Our waiter also was in the hurry the whole time and didn’t explain any of the items on the many, we felt rushed. It was like we went to massive chain where everyone is in and out. My margarita cocktail was washed off, no taste of alcohol whatever for $17. The food was not bad but not nothing impressive. The shrimp salad was swimming in dressing. I would not recommend

My friends and I had our last meal of our Vegas trip here, and we're glad we did. It's easy to be inoculated with the opulence & glamour of the strip, but after an entire week of it, it's time for a more interpersonal experience. Our waitress, Amy, was very down to Earth and told us she lived locally. She was ready with cool Vegas facts, things she likes around the Fremont neighborhood, and also must-tries next time we're in town. The food she recommended was amazing and all made in-house. This being our first Fremont experience, I couldn't wait to come back to explore the artistic, local, and delicious side of Vegas. Their baked Mac, absolutely delicious. Thanks for the recommendation again.

Fantastic food, great service. For after dinner, it's located right near the Fremont Street Experience.
Dustin Brimhall
Amazing staff, sat at the bar watching the people cook and our waiter was amazing.
Brandyn Reinhart
Love love love. The dining experience here is one of the best I’ve ever had. They encourage shareable plates. Ordered 4 plates and they did not disappoint, everything was delicious. I love the fact that it’s off the Main Streets too, so it’s not as crowded or overpriced like a lot of other restaurants in Vegas.
Marc Abla
Great small plate stop downtown. Recommend the shrimp, pork belly, bacon jam and more, but do not miss the green beans. They are fantastic. Wasn't a fan of the short rib risotto.
Carla Buggs
Great food and great service. The bar serves craft cocktails and is staffed with bartenders that actually have the skill if conversation and recommended other spots satisfy my taste.
The cocktails were delicious, fresh and refreshing on a hot Las Vegas day. Since I planned a day of cocktails I chose the butter burger. Im a huge burger fan and this is most definitely my favorite Las Vegas burger so far. Quality meat, juicy and cooked to perfection.

Carson Kitchen was a breath of fresh air for my party and myself. We recently celebrated my sister's birthday there. It was terrific! Each dish that we ordered was scrumptious and fun! It was a true and authentic dining experience. I can't wait to return.
Tracy B
Fun and different sharing dishes. We tried a bunch of different options and liked everything. The glazed donut bread pudding was so worth saving room for.
Jakub Cernoch
One of my absolute favorite little side restaurants here in Vegas. Downtown is a pain sometimes, but this place is absolutely worth it. The portions aren't particularly large (coming from a glutton, admittedly), but oh my goodness, there is SO MUCH FLAVOR in every single bite of the things I try.
The best play is to get a bunch of plates and share everything with the table. The pork belly and rainbow cauliflower are rock solid and are personal favorites, but I haven't been disappointed by anything I've had a nibble of.
Enthusiastic recommendation from me if you find yourself near downtown Vegas.

Really appreciate good food as part of the foodie tour
Daycy Carr
The staff was very friendly and our server was very attractive. There was a large group at one point but we never felt neglected in favor of the large group.
The food was amazing. I loved that it was family style, so we all got to try everything we ordered.
Items we tried (rating 1 to 10 - 10 being the best - based on our table's liking):
Crispy Chicken Skins: 8
Tempora Green Beans: 9
Veal Meatballs: 8
Killer Shrimp: 8
Pork Belly: 9
Chicken Thighs: 10
Short Rib Steak: 10
Shrimp Louie: 6
Black Rice & Oxtail Risotto: 7
Baked Mac & Cheese: 10
Glazed Donut Bread Pudding: 9
Shrimp Louie (6)
It was full of flavor, but it had a pickled taste most didn't care for. This is the only dish we didn't care to finish.
Black Rice & Oxtail (7)
Very creamy and felt like a risotto should, except for the grainy texture of the black rice which most of us couldn't overlook.
Crispy Chicken Skins (8)
Reminded us of pork rinds.
Veal Meatballs (8)
Well cooked but the sauce make it even better and unfortunately one of the meatballs didn't have much sauce on it.
Killer Shrimp (8)
Most thought it was going to be very spicy but it was not overbearing on the palette so you want to go back for more.
Tempora Greenbeans (9)
Deepfried veggie, what more could you want? The sauce that came with the dish was ok.
Pork Belly (9)
Loved by all, except that one in our party said it should have a little more meat on it (only reason it's a 9).
Chicken Thighs (10)
Half of our table don't care much for thighs, but changed their minds after trying these. Well cooked, moist and full of flavor. It was so good it was even compared to the steak (see below) couldn't decide which they liked better.
Short Rib Steak (10)
Perfectly cooked, great sauce. Everything a great steak should be.
Glazed Donut Bread Pudding (9)
Goldenbrown and toasty on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. Just needed a little more cream and it would have been perfect.
Lawrence
Tired of the chaos of the Strip and all the franchise restaurants in Vegas. Well then for an indie vibe, come to Carson’s kitchen , feels like I am at some hip restaurant in SF , west LA, Paso Robles or Santa Rosa
Miss Julie
Mac cheese, steak, bacon jam OMG, and risotto. Loved the bacon jam!!
CHRISTOPHER ALLUIN
Kyrstin gave my friends such a great 1st time experience. They now have became new regulars. The drinks, food, dessert, and service. One word: Awesome!!!
Charlie Martin
Found this place by accident several years ago on a trip to Las Vegas. We had a great time then and now that we live in Vegas. It's one of our favorite spots. The food is amazing and the staff is nice. The staff is very knowledgeable of the menu and made some good suggestions. The chicken skins are amazing! We get them every time!
Kevin Hughes
Amazing food, upscale casual atmosphere, reasonably priced
A lovely evening with my wife. Black rice and oxtail risotto, veal meatballs, short ribs steak, and barramundi. A most excellent meal accompanied by two very tasty cocktails. And reasonably priced...especially for Vegas. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Recommend this 100%
Marlee Day
We went here for my Aunt's Birthday. The food was delicious and its not crazy expensive for Las Vegas. The Bacon Jam with Havarti was amazing! Had to get more croustinis to eat more! I highly recommend this place. Small, industrial 90's vibe with a Chef table and open kitchen at the heart of it all. Super cozy patio in a private courtyard looked like fun but it was 108 the day we went.
Caitlyn Ward
Fun place for tapas. Good music and good vibes. Great drink recommendation, "Fine, You?". Great whiskey. Had the deviled eggs, gyro tacos, and the oxtail risotto. My favorite was the risotto. It is a good place to share food — I came alone so it was kind of hard to enjoy as much.
Robert Rottiers
Excellent service and menu recommendations from our server Sarah ! It was a fun evening for our first time there! Will be back!!
Angela Tinker
My husband and I just had our wedding reception dinner here. Our 5-course menu felt like 20 courses and the food was as amazing as we had read it would be. The service and atmosphere was on point too. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure!
Charley Penn
Carson Kitchen is such a one-of-a-kind location. I really appreciated the excellent service and laid-back atmosphere at this one-of-a-kind establishment. Make a point of visiting the lounge area, which is connected to the dining area.
This is a really cool location. I had a burger, which was delicious. Outside of one of the large hotels on the strip, this is a great place to visit.
Evan Kontos
Chicken sandwich was WAY too salty and the waitress didn't seem to care. Really small portions and really pricey.
Jennifer Locklear
Wonderful food! Had the tempura green beans and shrimp.
Renee Davies
Nice selection of craft cocktails. The food is delicious! Service was very friendly. A nice escape from the busy strip. Highly recommend for good food!
Rebecca Garcia
Great food but music was loud making it hard to hear friends.
Nigel Forrester
The service was excellent. The chef greeted us personally and surprised us with an incredible peach salad. Everything our waiter recommended was delicious, and our group ate a lot. Furthermore, the staff was very attentive to my never-ending thirst for water, always keeping my glass full. We will undoubtedly return.
Don Jones
Go here and enjoy dinner. Order food to share and relax. Everything is good
Joseph Nixon
Can't say enough about this place. Able to fit us (me and my wife) in right away despite our reservation not taking.
Service was phenomenal, food came out quick and was amazing. Prices were super reasonable, we left with a check under $30 before tip (Mac and cheese, and the secret chicken sandwich (both amazing and easy to share)). We were too full to try the famous doughnut bread pudding, but we will definitely do that next time we're in town.
James Bartrop
This was a sensational place to stop for dinner. The wait staff and food were simply amazing! My favourite dish was the Bacon Jam and for desert, the doughnut!
Tiffany Pusatello
The food is quite good, but this place thinks it's fancy. It's a bit pricey for what you get and it's very, very loud.
Diego Montoya
I tried to do all off-strip dining during my week long trip (training event) in Las Vegas. This place is veteran owned and is near the old Fremont District. The cuisine is very well prepared. I had the chicken thighs and the were impeccably cooked, moist and juicy, with excellent seasoning. My friend had pork tenderloin (I think) in a reduction sauce that was also mouth watering. We had a skillet of Macaroni and cheese which was shareable. And we had a starter of deviled eggs. The bartender also made a really good prohibition cocktail called "The bees knees" (gin based), and the other drinks also looked to be appetizing.
I am in Atlanta this week and look forward to round two at the CK Alpharetta location.
Marcus Mack
Really great American food I recommend it. They have some good craft beers as well.
Megan Farley
So, let me start by saying the food is incredible and the service was great. However, the hostess who greeted us truly put a damper on the entire experience for us.
A short blonde haired lady was so incredibly rude from the second we walked in. Not only was her body language completely unprofessional but so was her mouth. First things first, we thought she was opening the door for us so we walked in upon opening and out of her mouth comes, “oh sure, you go ahead?!” In a super sarcastic tone. Second, my boyfriend forgot his face mask out in the car so he kindly asked her for one as soon as we entered the restaurant. When he asked her for the mask, she said ”yeah, we probably have one” which ended with a snotty eye roll. When she finally handed him the mask, she whipped it out from under the counter and just extended her arm, without saying anything at all. It was clear to us we were not wanted there by her attitude. It was so unwelcoming, uncomfortable and flat out unprofessional. As soon as we sat at our table the first words out of our mouths were, “Is she serious?! I would absolutely hate to work with her.”
When she did speak, her tone was so loud it echoed through the restaurant. We could tell (and hear) she was consistently rude to many others that followed us in.
Whoever this woman is, I would highly encourage management to do something about her as I can’t imagine her presence changes much from day to day. You could tell she was just a miserable person wanting to bring everyone else down with her.
Just Jen
Holy fried chicken skins. Service was FANTASTIC and the food was amazing - we shared 3 diff items off the menu and each one was as amazing as the next. Highly recommend at least one visit if you are in the area (container park/Freemont st).
Jake Breckner
The food is excellent, if small portions for a social group. Parking was a bit confusing, if you go behind the restaurant it’s a lot more convenient.
Elana G
Wow. An experience. They're doing construction outside and the facade is not much to write home about. I thought, is this it? But I opened the door into a beautiful, elegant dining experience. The kitchen is wide open for viewing from every table in this funky venue. This place is known for shareable family style, but no family eats like this at home. We loved the devilled eggs with pancetta and caviar (the vegetarian easily scraped off the meat and devoured these delicious devilled eggs). We also had tempura green beans which were so lightly fried with a chili cream cheese dipping spread, we almost ordered seconds. The truffle mac and cheese was lightly breaded and baked to perfection. My friend loved the BBQ chicken thighs. We asked the waitress, Brooke, advice about what to get. She gave us some suggestions but said, "you can't go wrong with anything on this menu." I believe she's probably right.
Eli Maldonado
We had the best lunch yesterday. Lauren took care of us. Start to finish perfection. All we needed was to have room for dessert. See y'all next time and hugs from Texas.🧙 …
Maggie Ledbetter Smith
Every item we tried was very good. We didn't think the deviled eggs were worth the hype, but the mac and cheese, NY strip, and cauliflower were all phenomenal! We also really liked the vibe. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.
Francis Reader
Menu certainly looked different. Shared the beef and turkey burger with my wife. Very very tasty and price was great value for money. You gotta try the spices tata tots.
Jenn Stacy
Carson Kitchen never has disappointed. Tonight we had our favorites- chicken skins, gyro tacos, tempura green beans and a pepperoni Flatbread. Date night was definitely elevated.
Charles Sparks
Great experience, we came for a large event and the staff was amazing and the food was great.
K. Hoover
Absolutely 💯% Top Shelf service, drinks🍸and entrées!
A definite Must Eat, drink and experience this Diamond 💎 in the Rough.
Wouldn't even know it's there if it wasn't for Donald Hosting the Foodie Tour and introducing us to this new addition to downtown.
I'm loving all of the places springing up to eat that weren't available in years past.
Everyone must visit the Newly Renovated and Fantastic things going on and Start with Carson's Kitchen.
Brian Numainville
Little place you might miss if you didn't know it was there. Small plates so order several to share. Good food!
Vi SD
The crab thingies we had were delicious. The flatbread was fine. The service was great
Abdur Rahman
This was out first time in Vegas and at Carson’s. Their method of service is different but we loved it. We ordered the green beans, chicken, shrimp, Mac and cheese, risotto and beets. We didn’t think the portions were going to be as big as they were. At 42, this was the BEST food that we have ever had and every plate was piping hot. The server, Eugenia, and host were outstanding as well. If your ever looking for a nice place with outstanding food, go to Carson Kitchen. They also have a nice and inviting outdoor eating on. We would drive back just for the food.
Thomas Beaucham
This place is the gem of downtown Vegas. My friends and I liked how upscale it was as opposed to the rest of downtown. The food is all shared, but the portions are decent so we had a taste of everything. We had the veal meatballs, short rib steak, pork tenderloin, and baramundi. Cannot complain about the staff; everyone was polite and gorgeous! Great way to start a Vegas trip.
J T
OMG the food was amazing here! Was just here for a wedding reception dinner. Each course was better than the last. The shrimp were crispy and delicious (think even better bang bang shrimp), the flatbread pizza was fresh and tasty, the truffle oil mac and cheese was some of the best mac and cheese I've ever had, the rainbow cauliflower was perfectly cooked, the shrimp Louie salad was so yummy, the Tempura green beans were addictive, and the cocoa espresso NY strip was flavorful and juicy and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back for dinner!
Mikal Boucher
We loved it. They just bring out food as it is ready. And all so good.
Kamran Sahrakar
Rugged atmosphere with sophisticated menu and almost perfect execution. Had the pork belly, mushroom flatbread, cauliflower, shrimp, and risotto. For dessert, I'm not a bread pudding fan, but I was pleasantly surprised with the balanced flavors and sweetness and texture. Only criticism was that the risotto was a tad salty- not enough to lower the rating. Service was great. All this and one beverage each allowed us to leave with less than $50 a head in damage.
Louis Oswalt
Great food, small plates to share. Friendly staff. Loved the chicken thighs, green beans, nac & cheese and the glazed donut bread pudding. Make a reservation though!!
Justin Brooks
Great little joint. My son and I both had the burger. It was delicious. Friendly, attentive but not overbearing waitstaff was a plus. Decent charm. Enjoyed the "sign the book" check idea. Not a huge place so can get crowded quick. Chose it on a whim as it was close to where we were and had good ratings. It did not disappoint and we'll return next time we're down that way to explore more menu offerings. Definitely recommend for a quality quick bite to fuel your Fremont adventures.
Eric Yoon
Great food. I would recommend getting several plates and sharing with the table.
Jenni Carmichael
Food was outstanding! I had never had pork belly or oxtail before and both dishes offered were excellent! And you must save room for the donut bread pudding. Absolutely wonderful!
Cynthia Powers
Weren't too sure at first but let me tell ya, fantastic!!! Everything was delicious 😋 we loved the shrimp, gyros and rainbow cauliflower but the mac n cheeze.... wow. Served Family style with tapas style options, everything we tried was amazing. If you're up for an adventure check them out! So glad we did! …
Nomad Pestilence
Mostly a Bar but they have some decent food options as well. Read the book they hand you when you order at the bar.
Yashar Zare
Burger was delicious. Had the banana hammock for the drink
Khris E
Food is good but drinks are better. Staff was really attentive.
정원영
I ordered fried chicken skin that is so delicious. When I see menu board, foods are nice price and servers provided friendly service. I hope to visit again here.
Jasmyne Waldie
Just amazing! Food was great. My friends and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the waiter was great to attending to us and getting our order. We literally all ate a ton! The bacon jam and the macaroni was absolutely delicious! Loved the NY strip too
Jeremynoig
This place has awesome food. They recommended eating family style and I strongly agree. Everything is really good and I wouldn't have been able to settle on one thing. The drinks are good as well. My personal favorites were the bacon jam and the Mac and cheese. Eating outside is a lot more peaceful if you can get a seat.
Megan Huegel
Carson Kitchen never disappoints! We tried the new warm spinach salad. It’s festive and fantastic!
Stuart Stackelhouse
The food is just delicious! The fried chicken skins are amazing. Just go and enjoy some great food with some friends. Love the atmosphere and the staff is always super friendly.
Adrienne Morel
Delish food!!! Totally worth stopping. Everything we ordered was so good!
Nick Bugbee
Really enjoy this place. Good atmosphere, good drinks, and good food. I really like their chicken sandwich. Although the price is a little high for a chicken sandwich, it is very tasty. I have gone here several times and it is consistently good eating. Great place for a date night or to socialize with your friends.
Dillon Kasperitis
Found it on Google, enjoy the people, the staff, the atmosphere and best of all the food. Went there twice in our 3 day! You should try the Gyro tacs along with the mac and cheese!
Rick Aco
Service was great, food was delicious. Only quirk was our side dish for the entrees came out five minutes before the entrees so it cooled off, then the entrees came out one by one with the meat loaf coming out last after the steaks.
Matt McLaughlin
The location is off the strip but this place is seriously a hidden gem. From the outside it didn't look like much but walk inside and it's a totally different atmosphere. Food was terrific! People were great! This will definitely be one of my constant stops for future trips ! Make sure you try their Mac and Cheese !
Ruslan A
Great good, athmosphere. Friendly, knowledge, staff. Delicious food, fun to share food. Great drinks. Local beers. Must go!
Michael Yates
So in comes my five top group with no reservations. We heard good things and were hungry but it was Saturday late afternoon and most places were packed. The hostess as Carson was soooo friendly and accommodating. She fit us in and warned us they would need the table back in about 90 minutes. Plenty of time for us to eat and enjoy one of the best meals we've ever had. Our server was incredible. We never were wanting for anything, not for one second. We never felt rushed or pressured to hurry. The food came out one or two dishes at a time and we had fun trying a large variety. Everything was perfect. The bacon jam, however, was the sort of thing that honestly gave me pause. What had I been doing with my life? Who was I? What was my place in the world? Bacon jam opened my mind to a sort of perfection most artists only dream of or scoff at when proposed in an online review. Carson Kitchen bacon jam is no sasquatch. It's real. I've eaten it.
Amy Johnson
The best food and service!! We had a burger and pizza. Which were amazing! But the most fantastic items were the chicken skins and donut bread pudding!! OMG!! We love this place!!
Wendy Cronin
The service is stellar!! They went out of their way to make sure we were happy!
Joal Uribe
Incredible food, great environment, terrific service, it's always a memory!!
Shannon Nettles
We went here as part of our Lip Smacking foodie tour with our guide Tom. The food was outstanding especially the fried chicken skins with smoked honey dip!!! Their cocktails are great too! The service staff did an excellent job and were very friendly. The place was clean and very inviting and we will definitely visit here again in the future.
Violet Long
I had no clue what to expect when I heard American Tapas but they lived up to the hype! Great atmosphere, beautiful waitresses, and delicious food. Parking was $3-5 which was a bummer but everything else was great. I highly recommend the bacon jam and spicy shrimp! So good and reasonably priced!
Alvin Gautreaux
Food was decent. Better places and better areas of downtown. You are close to Freemont, so that's either a good thing or bad thing, depending on what you are into. Great outdoor seating.
Lori Alvarez
This was one of the first restaurants I tried downtown after I moved here quite a few years ago now and it’s still one of my favorites. The small plate concept is one I really enjoy, try lots of stuff and share with loved ones, win! The bacon jam is delicious and seems to be a constant on the menu. The atmosphere is definitely way cooler than I as a middle aged lady am but I always feel welcome and satisfied.
Greg Miller
Best restaurant in LV, great little surprise. Great staff
Don Peck
We found a new favorite place in downtown LV. Great food and service. Bacon jam was a little sweet for us but the Killer Shrimp and Iron Chef burger were both spectacular.
Amy Mueller
This was one of the first restaurants I tried downtown after I moved here quite a few years ago now and it’s still one of my favorites. The small plate concept is one I really enjoy, try lots of stuff and share with loved ones, win! The bacon jam is delicious and seems to be a constant on the menu. The atmosphere is definitely way cooler than I as a middle aged lady am but I always feel welcome and satisfied. It can get sorta loud when it’s peak busy but see my middle age lady comment and understand that I’m getting old 😂 Seating outside when it’s nice out is delightful and service has always been really good. I hope they stay around for many years to come, I really enjoy dining here.
Rosanne Iversen
Shared dishes. 4 plates is more than enough for 2 people. Bacon jam and tempura beans are delicious. Veal meatballs were tender and served in a wonderful sauce. The beat salad is not only beautiful but done in a way that even my husband who doesn't like beats likes this dish. Food is well worth the wait. We have been here 3 times now over the last 5 years and this place has served up every time.
Sam Adamson
Carson's Kitchen is a burst of flavor like no other. Always great to try there new menu items. Everything is always amazing. Took our kids there and they were super shock with the different flavors and how amazing they were! A must go!
Alex M
It's very rare that you find a place where there is an extremely positive reaction to every item ordered. Our group of three ordered the Crispy chicken skins, Devil's eggs, Veal meatballs, Black rice & oxtail risotto, & the Mac n cheese. Personal favorites were the risotto, deviled eggs, and veal meatballs. The cocktails were also a hit. The plates are definitely large enough to be shared between 2-3 people, and very reasonably priced. If I'm back in town, I'll definitely be coming back!
William Moug
Great food, great service, great people, all around a great time.
Allegra Chambers
We had such a special meal here, but it was a little funny because we accidentally ordered everything with some kind of bacon in it (even our dessert)! It was all perfectly balanced though, so it wasn't too rich or heavy. The plates are made for sharing, which we did and I recommend because you're going to want to taste everything. It's small, so they have some communal tables to save space, and I loved the purse hook under the table top- very clever. It is a little expensive, but worth it. Casual and hip atmosphere.
Dave Thomas
Great food, definitely a bit out of place for Vegas in a good way. We had small plates the demi glaze steak, veal meatballs, green beans, chopped salad were all really delicious and perfect small plates. Decent wine and craft beer selection. Close to Fremont street, which is a bit sketchy these days.
Tami James
Carson Kitchen is a little bit of heaven. The food is great and the service is even better. Carson Kitchen has an excellent, homey feel to it that you can't help but love. Best of all, the ambiance is beautiful.
pen
My friend and I got most of the appetizers and were not disappointed. Excellent staff and amazing food! Do yourself a favor and get the glazed donut bread pudding, and tip the amazing and hardworking staff there well ;) The vibe felt somewhat low-key, homey, and not as glitsy as the rest of Vegas, which was exactly what I was looking for. We waiting for our seats out back and it felt like a community backyard in the best way possible. Definitely recommending this place to all my friends and I can't wait to be back!
Lisa Wheeler
Easily the best meal we had in a sea of disappointing food that is Vegas. Service was pleasant and informative. Cocktails were innovative and delicious. There was a mix up in the kitchen so we were given a plate of the Lamb Spiedies for free! They were so yummy. We also ordered the Chicken Skins, which, I would only recommend if there were more than two of you. I ate about four of them and had my fill. The chicken thighs were very flavorful and cooked to perfection. We never received our order of the killer shrimp and told our server to nix the order anyways because we were so full. Clearly there are some disconnects with staff but none of it got in the way of us enjoying our evening here. I highly recommend this neighbor gem while you are in town.
Mark Nessel (MarkN)
My favorite restaurant in Vegas. Great food, fun atmosphere, great staff. It's a place I try to go every time I'm in Las Vegas.
Edit:
Came back last night after not being in Vegas for a long time due to COVID. It's as good as ever. The outside seating area is very nice. The standards on the menu were as good as ever. We tried some new items that were great as well. Their craft cocktail menu is excellent.
Also, the staff are as friendly and knowledgeable as ever.
The only downside, and it's a good one for them, is the cat's irretrievably out of the bag about this place and reservations are now pretty much a must. We had one, and got there early before it got busy, but by the time we left the bar was packed and there were people waiting on the sidewalk. It's still my favorite spot for dinner in Vegas, but it's no longer my favorite spot that nobody's heard of.
Derek Cook
Opt for tapas-like “limousine service” for large groups to try the abundance of delightful dishes
James Dossett
Amazing food! The best chicken I've had in my life. A little expensive, but worth it! Everything is served family style. Beer is cans/bottles
Fernando Leon-Molina
The NY strip was incredible it tasted like what I imagine cowboys used to eat back in the old west times. The wine list is small but focused and well curated. The Tempranillo was exceptional, may be the best one I’ve had.
The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the Banoffee Pie was sludgy.
Felicia Gee
This place was great! High quality food and drinks for sure. We got the killer shrimp, chicken thighs, baked Mac and cheese and gyro tacos. Everything came as small plates and were perfect for sharing! The stand out was the killer shrimp for sure it was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. Also they were really nice about me having my son even tho it's not really a kid restaurant. No high chairs as a heads up!
Crystal Gunlock
Hands down the BEST food I have ever tried in my life!
Michael McLoughlin
I went there for dinner twice in three days. I had a great meal each time. First time in the bar and second time at the counter watching the kitchen. This is my go to place whenever I'm in town.
Kiannah
Fell in love the second i walked in! The atmosphere was fun and relaxing. Service was amazing, our waiter suggested his favorites which didn’t disappoint at all! Could possibly be the best food I’ve had. We ordered the killer shrimp, Mac n cheese(hands down the best), bread with jam, and the brownie for dessert! Everything including the drinks were amazing. I can’t wait to come back.
Arlene Sanchez
Visited here on the fingerlicking foodietour, absolutely delicious and great service!
Debbie Meyers
Fantastic food and great service... best picks Mac and Cheese and the glazed doughnut bread pudding!
Pam Gabriel
I had high expectations for this place, but was disappointed. Food was just ok, service was slow & our server, Roman, was unfriendly at best. Prices are high for what you get, with most items around $14. Crispy chicken skins were bland, veal meatballs and oysters were ok. The best, in my opinion, was the butter burger. Drinks were interesting, but nothing special.
We miss you Kerry Simon!
katja lorenz
Absolutely hands down our best meal of the long weekend. The cocktails were amazing and all the food was delicious. We had 8 of us and it was a bit of a wait - this is a super small place - but the wait was worth it. I highly recommend the deviled eggs! And the price was unbelievably good for Vegas. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Beau Gibbs
INCREDIBLE!! The staff, the food, the vibe! Such an amazing place to visit when in Vegas! The truffle Mac and Cheese can’t be beat. Ethan, Joe, Shanelle and the whole Carson Kitchen crew made the experience over the top. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the mouth watering menu items. Hats off to Carson Kitchen, you won’t be disappointed!
Barry Smith
One of the most unique menus I ever seen. Most plates are shareable.
Sindy Smith
It was best restaurant in Las Vegas downtown
But I had to ear outside I couldn't choose
But the foods were good
I recommend the burger
Brooke Fenton
Chicken thighs are delicious and more than enough to share for a couple maybe even three people! The Mac n cheese is delicious as well, you can share that between two people. Sundays chicken good but not as yummy as the chicken thighs. Don’t go for the tater tots. Many other options to choose from! The service was great and friendly! And drinks were average. Great place to eat, will return
Oai Truong
Always great food and service whenever we are in town.
Tim Simmons
Wow! Wow! Wow! We (the two of us) had Crisp Chicken Skins, Tempura Green Beans, Butter Burger, Short Rib Grilled Cheese, Secret Sunday Chicken and the Cocoa Espresso NY Strip. Seems like a lot for two right? We were seated at the kitchen bar. At first, I did not want to sit there, but I'm glad I did. As we peered into the kitchen, we saw so many food dishes being prepared, we wanted to try them all. The chef was great to speak to. He was so kind, he deliver the green beans at no charge. We walked out with filled bellies and food for later. The food was great, kitchen staff knowledgeable, and the wait staff was friendly. To be honest, I don't remember the wait staff as much as I remember the kitchen staff. They keep us entertained. I was there for a business dinner. We never got around to discussing any business. Topic of conversation was how eloquent the dishes were made, the great smells from the kitchen and the taste of the food. Find this hidden gem for your meal off the strip. We did and it was by accident. Thank you all for an enjoyable meal and a remembered trip.
Mark Bassett
Wonderful unique dishes. Burnt ends, beet salad, and bacon jam are a must.
Daniel Risinger
Wish I took pictures of the food cause that was the Best part, but amazing drink selection awesome atmosphere and will be back again.
Robert Rust
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Great drinks and the food was all very good. Our server was friendly and very attentive. Bacon jam, devils eggs, and crispy chicken skins are all well known and for good reason, but I want to talk about the charred octopus - big winner! Ask for Geronimo at the bar, he's the best!
Lee Pryor
Menu was completely different from online which is what brought me into the establishment. I think every restaurant should adjust their menu as it changes, not to lower guests expectations.
Out of certain menu items 30 mins after opening. As a result I had to order a secondary item that wouldn’t have been my first choice.
Waitress was good- establishment trendy - drink was good.
Wouldn’t come back but wouldn’t discourage others from visiting.
Roberto Berni

We were looking for someplace to eat while visiting Freemont Street, and found Carson Kitchen by chance after searching google.
A short walk from the Main Street has us slightly worried we were lost. But once we found the restaurant we were relieved to see it looked like a great find.
We were seated at the bar in front of the appetizer prep station. Staff were all really friendly and attentive to our needs. The style of serving is more of a social, sharing type experience, which we loved but may not be for everyone.
Bacon Jam = life changer. Get it. You won’t regret it. Steak was amazing as well. I honestly don’t think I saw a single item that left the kitchen that looked anything short of amazing. We’ll be back for sure.

I'm torn with this review. The food and service was excellent. Unique dishes that tasted great. The chicken skins and Mac and cheese were phenomenal. The service from our waiter was awesome. The issue was the pretentious atmosphere, manager and cooks along with them not willing to modify any dishes (like adding a topping to a flat bread or providing blue cheese to appetizer). This really took away from the experience. Disappointed by that but food and waiter service was good.

Really cute place. Happy hour is bomb. Friendly staff and great decor. The music was just a tad loud when we visited, but you don't need to hear the people you're with if everyone's mouth is filled with food.

Best meal I had this past visit to Las Vegas. Stayed on the strip but came down to Carson Kitchen on a recommendation by the bartender. Had the bacon jam appetizer, buffalo pork belly, and their take on a bang bang shrimp. All three were amazing. For the main course I had the cocoa & coffee crusted NY strip. This steak was better than some I've had at the big name steak houses in the hotels. Don't be discouraged by what street its on or being off Fremont a little, it's only a block and a half away. Easy walk. Well worth the visit.

You don’t always get treated with the same respect as a typical customer when you enter with something like a “food tour” or “Groupon”. However, I am astounded by with the treatment we received at Carson Kitchen. Service on point, drinks out fast, and food tasted incredible. My mother is a vegetation and was met with incredible accommodations. Would definitely come back if in town again.

The bread pudding and baked Mac n Cheese were out of this world! Carson's definitely set the standard high for all the bread pudding and Mac I eat in the future. Customer service was excellent too! Make reservations before you go!

Amazing food, decent prices, great bartender! We ordered the baked mac n' cheese, young beets and gyro tacos, 2 people split these 3 dishes and couldn't be happier! Needed a quick bite to eat on the way through. This was fast, affordable, upscale with a great ambience! Love, love, love!
