Staff was friendly. Food portions were great. Vegan options were amazing. 👌🏻 My only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is everything was too greasy for my personal tastes. But will definitely take the family there again. They loved it.

Not bad to try this place. They have vegan and non-vegan options. Ordered vegan omelette and french toast both are very light (which i prefer). Also, non-vegan burger is delicious. Looked small but made me pretty full. My favorite are the fries 🍟. Overall, it’s great food but it took a long time to be served. ( dessert looks good but forgot to order )

I was recommended by my friend pastor Carol Simpson. And what a great surprise! The servers were all great. Kelly was my server and she was awesome! Very friendly , nice and wasted no time. Getting my order in to the kitchen and on the table for me . The food was hot, fresh and delicious! 😋 I will be back! Thanks again 😊

First time here - I am plant based. First impressions - clean, FRIENDLY, great options for ALL types of eaters (carnivore or herbivore). BIG DEAL * the vegan kitchen, fryer and all, is SEPARATE from the other kitchen (happy server Cindy, told me) Yes Yes 🙌!!! Thank you Black & Blue Diner for that!! I ordered the Vegan French Toast. Hot and tasty. Served with plant based buttery spread and syrup. Really good! Vegan options for both lunch and breakfast - both served 7:30-3:30 7 days a week - have a place clearly stated on the menu. Bring your clan here - everyone will be pleased!

This place has a nicely big selection of vegan items on their menu! It’s quite rare to find vegan French toast and I was very happy to have ordered them! The vegan Cheese Philly was another good veganisation of a classic, though probably a bit less cheesy. The waiters were all attentive and very friendly.

I’ve been wanting to eat at Black & Blue Diner for months! So glad I had a chance to try it this morning. I appreciate all of the vegan options they have to offer. Shortly after we were seated, the manager stopped by our table to introduce himself, ask us if had dined there before, etc. Dion, our server, was friendly as well. I couldn’t decide between the chicken or steak in my omelette, but he suggested the steak. I had the vegan omelette with steak, NY diner style potatoes, and added avocado to it. I think my omelette was made with Just Eggs. There was vegan mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, green peppers, onions. The meal was delicious! I’m always grateful when restaurants, breakfast joints offer plant-based options, other than your usual “fruit bowl, fries, basic salad.” The portions were large & plentiful. I managed to eat everything on my plate. I look forward to returning & trying more dishes!

With friendly staff and outstanding service, I highly recommend this little mom and pop diner. Cindy was our waitress. We ordered coffee(dark roast), and it was better than most places that serve breakfast lol. I got the French toast burger. What a delicious combination of savory and sweet!!! My friend got the eggs Benedict with home fries. Those were the best home fries I've had in a long time. It's right down the street from Lou's diner and 1000% better. Just saying, ditch the wait and come here. I'll definitely be back for more

Small overlooked diner offering a variety of American food. They have a nice flair and the food is extremely well prepared. Service was good, they were a little slow but they were also extremely busy. Large variety and a little pricey but the portions are generous. My husband had shrimp & grits and I had a salmon burger. We will be returning as there's a few interesting items on the menu worth checking out.

Great service and atmosphere. They really care about customers. Awesome vegan options. We got the vegan chicken omelette and the vegan steak and eggs, both delicious big portions. My only suggestion is adding a bit more vegan butter that comes with breakfast dishes. It's not enough to butter all the toast.

This place was AWESOME!! we never been here but decided to give it a go. We were warmly welcomed when we walked in, sat immediately, and had great service. I got the Mexican omelette which was so flavorful. He got a 5(yes...five) patty stacked burger and liked it. The fries are great too. As locals, I'm excited we found a new breakfast/brunch spot!

Stopped in for breakfast while we were in Vegas. We had a party of 6, mixed with vegan and regular diets. Everyone LOVED their food. The portions were huge and good prices. We received quick, friendly service. Highly recommend.

First time visiting the restaurant today. It was absolutely delicious. Every item purchased was served perfectly and tasted just right. Cindy and Keyon make a fabulous team there. The lady who greeted us upon entering was very welcoming and the cooks seemed to be very happy which I’m sure made our food even tastier. The restaurant bathrooms are nice and clean as well. I’ll be coming back.

Amazing customer service from Dion! The food was just as delicious as he promised! I got the French toast waffle and 2 of the best over medium eggs I've ever had, while my wife had the Vegan steak and eggs, which exceeded her expectations! Would definitely recommend!

We had a friend from out of state come visit, so we wanted to take him to a great brunch spot. The original spot was horrible service on the phone, so we decided to take him to black and blue. He was beyond impressed with the food for the location and condition of the building. Our server Cindy was amazing very down to earth very refreshing. We left so full and happy. Don't let the look of the place fool you, once you enter and eat it feels and tatses like grandma's house on a holiday afternoon. Love this hidden gem 💎

First time here and we were impressed. The staff is super friendly and attentive always making sure u have what u need and if all is OK. The food is great with nice size portions. I ordered the biscuits and gravy hash browns sausage patties scrambled eggs meal. Couldn't even finish my plate. Nice & Clean. Lots of yummy items to choose from on the menu

French toast waffle and NY style coffee are a must try. The spam bam and Chinese fried rice were also good. Hash brown patties & shredded hash brown needed a bit more flavor. Philadelphia cheese fries could have been a bit saltier. They serve yoohoo chocolate milk and have other NY-style desserts too. Will definitely be back for more.

Service could be a little better as we did not have an individual come check on us regarding refilling beverages. Food was great! The price was fair for the portions of food between $15-$20. We had the chicken and french toast waffles, shrimp and grits, and 1 day we had the philly cheese fries. When we go back to vegas we will return

Omg I love this place!! I'm vegan and my wife is not, so we are always on the look out for resturants who have amazing options for both of us. This place is 100% that!! Dion had exceptional customer service and kept checking on specific ingredients for me! I got the vegan steak and eggs (to DIE for) and my wife got the non-vegan French toast waffles with a side of over medium eggs. She said the waffles were great, and the eggs were the best eggs she's ever had. Thanks so much Black and Blue diner, we will be back the next time we're in a Vegas!! 😋

Nice Cafe with the MOST friendliest staff. They do close at 3:30p, however if you arrive by 3pm you will be served. My hubby and I visited 2 weeks ago. He had the pastrami sandwich combo w/ an arnold palmer very good selection and I had the pancake and chicken w/ Shirley temple also equally as good. We came back again today 7/9/22 hubby ordered Taquito Mexican plate (taquito, beans, salsa and eggs) and I had the Jackpot breakfast ( waffle, eggs, potatoes, and bacon). My breakfast was delicious however hubby was not to pleased in the end finding out that everything was processed and not cooked to order except for the eggs..taquito were store bought and the beans tasted just the same. This is why I dropped off a star. We had the most friendliest waitress who served us on both visits. Great conversation and she remembered us😉

Update: There was a Door Dash special going so I ordered here again to give them one more shot. We ordered the chicken and waffle and the jackpot breakfast. The waffles are a thinner style and were pretty good. I added chocolate chips to mine which are served on the side and were perfectly melty after a quick run through the microwave. The chicken was well seasoned and tender. The hash browns were cooked well and the soft scrambled eggs were cooked to order appropriately. The sausage was tasty as well. The grits left something to be desired but overall both meals were good. The aluminum containers they are delivered in make it super easy to pop your food in the toaster oven for a quick reheat. Also, this time we got all of our condiments to include syrup, butter and ketchup. I think the person(s) who prepared my last order were having a bad day. This order was good enough that I would order delivery from here again. I still however think that the chocolate hazelnut "slice" of cake from my original order is a total ripoff. Hopefully that gets changed. Original review: No. Just... no. I hadn't ordered from here before but was looking for a new breakfast spot to order from via delivery. The reviews seemed good so I decided to give them a shot. I could not eat it. I ordered the chicken and french toast waffle, the NY style home fried potatoes, and the chocolate hazelnut cake. The chicken and french toast waffle was an immediate let down. It looked nothing like the other photos I saw. The waffle tasted like a burnt funnel cake and the chicken tasted like it was fried in old grease. A shame because I feel that the chicken would have been good if not for that. I haven't had good home fries in forever so I was excited to try them and thought I could at least enjoy those but nope, seasoned crinkle cut french fries instead (and I HATE crinkle cut fries). Ok, so on to dessert. Can't be a total loss. I mean, how bad can you mess up cake? Well to describe this as a piece of cake is dishonest. It is a chocolate hazelnut brownie that is a little over a square inch in size. I opened the container and literally started to laugh maniacally. I mean I get that it's vegan (not that I cared, I just like chocolate) and inflation is hurting everyone but come on man, y'all want $6.99 for this?! To add insult to injury, they forgot my syrup so I could not even eat this burnt waffle if I wanted to. I guess you only get the good food if you are there in person, which I will never be. This is ridiculous. Do better.

Accidentally Stumbled upon this gem and so glad we stopped by to try it! 😋👌 HEALTHY BREAKFAST 👊🖤✅: Protein Plate comes with 3 egg whites, (your choice of protein which for me was 4oz of chicken) white rice, spinach, tomatoes, and all the add ons you would like (I added green peppers,mushrooms, and jalapeños). Chicken was NOT dry 👌✅. It was delicious, fresh, and was served super quickly for a Sunday! Warning: I ordered an extra side of sourdough toast along with egg whites BUT it is a TON of food and the extra egg whites were left over… I’d start with the first plate before ordering the extra side of protein. The 🍞was excellent and did not make it to the leftover box 😋🤤

I had the French toast waffle which was super yummy and my partners chicken (and French toast) was AMAZING! It was very clean (even the bathrooms!) And they also have vegan options which is awesome.

The longer I live in Vegas...the more I want to go home to NYC. There are very few places where the food is EXCELLENT in this city, (to include the fancy restaurants on The Strip), but; Black and Blue Diner...FEELS LIKE HOME❤️ The food was SO GOOD. AND...my food was cooked the NY way😋😋😋 This is my new AND permanent breakfast spot❤️ EVERYTHING, (down to the coffee), was MOST DEFINITELY all about the feel of our diners back home, (reminds me of the Royal Coach on Gun Hill & Boston Rds🥰). The prices weren't bad, (NY'ers have ZERO problems putting out money for GREAT FOOD). To the owners, thank you for seriously bringing home here. I'll be a customer for LIFE❤️

I have to say by far the best vegan breakfast I’ve had in a long time. They have quite the few vegan selections. Not 100% vegan restaurant but the choices are plentiful and the quality was amazing. I had the vegan breakfast sandwich and vegan French toast.

So This is my first time here just driving past , dropping off my husband and wanted to try it out. Went thru the drive thru because it was really cold outside and I wanted to stay warm. Wasn’t a long wait will at the drive thru, women who served me was very professional and also recommended some good things on the menu. I end up ordering a meat lover omelet with the potatoes and onions (delicious) ! It couldn’t have been any better . It was very meaty and the potatoes were done Just right!! I also ordered the chicken and waffles and grits it was yummy ! The only thing was the orange juice was kinda overpriced so such a small cup but other than that it was yummy and I must take the whole family there and enjoy some dinner . Yes the meals are kinda small but they definitely get the job done ✅ 👍🏽👏🏽 (Please don’t mind my nails I have a nail appointment coming lol)

This diner is SO good and they have a whole menu for us vegans!!! I got the vegan breakfast sandwich w steak and hash browns. Also, not pictured was coffee with the Silk vanilla creamer. Total greasy diner fare and I loved it!! Service was great as well. Definitely recommend..

As someone who developed an unbaked egg allergy in their 20's, my idea is breakfast is a patty melt. For the first time in 20 years, I was able to order breakfast. Chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, crinkle cut, seasoned fries and grits 🤤🤤🤤 Plant based eggs make for the perfect breakfast item for vegans or those with allergies and they actually taste like egg. The menu was full of great comfort food items and the service was outstanding. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Amazing experience with our dairy & egg allergic daughter. Their separate vegan kitchen provided her the first opportunity in 14 years to eat breakfast at a restaurant! The staff went above and beyond. We cannot wait to go back. Delicious food, clean and friendly environment and true allergy awareness. Amazing!!!!!

After spending a couple days eating at over priced restaurants on the strip with mediocre food, Black and Blue was a welcome change. An extensive menu with unique items like "French Toast Waffles" or a "Philly grilled cheese", was the perfect comfort food to end our trip with. But better than the food was the friendly staff, Naomi and her manager. Naomi opened the door for us as we walked in and greeted us with a huge smile. A Beatles soundtrack playing overhead created a positive fun vibe. With so much to choose from on the menu, Naomi helped guide us through, listing some of her and other customers favorites. We appreciated her knowledge and the dishes she recommended! Coffee service was quick, and they kept our cups full the entire visit! This was the first restaurant since we arrived in Las Vegas that both my daughters willingly finished their plates with no complaining, which was a win for this momma!

Nice little hole in the wall diner that serves nice portions of food and the customer service was on point. I have tried allot of places that served grits but this place has had the best bowl of grits l have ever had in a restaurant and the also can add cheese to them huge plus. If you are ever in the area stop in this place is well worth it.

I've been to this restaurant quite a few times, ordered the jackpot breakfast Deluxe with French toast substitute. Asked for over medium egg it was cooked to hard and my French toast was as well, other than that I enjoyed the diner breakfast potatoes, they have a new chef, going to give them some time to get it right. I'll be back!!

If I could give more stars I would. They are the BEST NEW DINER. They have a full diverse menu serving the best American food and then they have a nice size VEGAN Menu 😁 that is cooked on a separate surface 🥰. This is just the beginning of this restaurant. I spoke with a manager and they were saying the menu is going to double with even more great food. I'm super excited because everything came out so good. I ordered the Vegan onion and pepper steak. It was flavored to perfection. I couldn't ask for more. My friend asked for the Vegan breakfast bowl with steak and chez eggs 😋 Yummmmmmm. I was blown away at how good it all was. To make sure we got the full diner experience we got Vegan French Toast and GRITS 😳😱🥰🥰🥰 SO DELICIOUS 😋🤤. This is my new favorite spot. I was really blown away.

This place was amazing! My husband has severe food allergies to dairy, peanuts, & eggs. The vegan/allergy menu is very diverse and big! We love that they cook all vegan/allergy food on a separate grill and they take it serious. It’s about a 15 min drive from the strip, we will definitely be back every time we are in Vegas!

First let me say that the service was very good. That is about all I can say positive about my experience. I had the body builder which is three eggs cooked to order, choice of rice, toast and choice of protein. I chose the hamburger patty. The rice was very sticky and bland. There were only two eggs instead of three and I ordered them overeasy and that is not the way they came. Instead they were sunny side up and heated on the top to give the impression that they were overeasy, when in fact overeasy eggs are supposed to be flipped. I passed on the toast as I try not to eat a lot of bread. The patty was cooked properly, however, lacked flavor. Coffee was alright, not the best, and certainly not worth $3.94 a cup. As always I will go back to give this establishment another try to be fair. I just think the breakfast cooks should get some more practice, at the very least someone needs to be in the kitchen who knows breakfast overseeing. On a side note, the decor was nice, and a bit nostalgic as the building used to be an old Fosters Freeze. I'm not saying not to try this establishment yet, that will be determined after my next visit.

The space is nice and clean and clearly just remodeled. Food was amazing and the service was great. Everyone is very welcoming. The double crusty diner burger with bacon and side of seasoned fries was delicious. Our server was super nice. Can't wait to go back to try some breakfast.

Finally a local burger joint in this area! This corner seems to be building up. Ordered online, quick response and quickly done. I am thoroughly impressed with the amount of food they give you for the price - and it's quality food! The regular burgers come as a double or larger. In order to get a single you must order from the kids menu. Do not think this will be a much small meal!!! They hook you up! I got a kids meal (fries & burger) for $4.99!!! And it was so much food I could not even finish it! The double with cheese and bacon was $7.99, still a great price!!! Burgers are very thin, it was good (although I prefer a thicker burger) and the buns were fresh and the perfect bun for a burger! Fries were off the hook! New favorite fry spot! They serve breakfast too and will try that someday. Worth a visit and a return!!

So far I've eaten there twice and enjoyed both my meals. First time I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, the Chicken was seasoned just right. The second time I eat at Black and Blue, the waitress recommend the Southern Fried Honey Chicken Sandwich (which is normally something I wouldn't order). I fully enjoyed it, the sandwich was very delicious and full of flavour. The 80's dessert is YUMMY and a nice way to end your meal.

Meat lovers omelet was stuffed with breakfast meats! You shouldn't be allowed to call yourself a diner or Cafe if you serve pre-packaged gravy! It had a garlicky taste too. Huevos Taquitos was a tasty interesting meal. I didn't receive the English muffins I ordered, so 1 star off for that. Chocolate Thunder Cake had a great cocoa taste and is worth coming back for.

Went here because my mom is vegan. Food was ok. Service was meh - asked for a drink twice and didn’t get it. I (politely) asked for the WiFi password as we were tourists, and the server was pretty rude about telling me “she doesn’t have one of those” lol

Well it was my first time at Black and Blue Diner. we walk right in . The hosts was very kind and friendly. No wait. The server very kind and friendly. The food was server beautifully. And I had the chicken Ruz salad. It was excellent and my husband had Honey fried chicken sandwich was excellent. We both enjoyed our dining experience. Looking forward going back again. Pros: Our server's name was Cindy. She kept a smile on her face. As she was the only waitress on the floor. As well as cashier. Cons: The taquitos taste like they were bought at Walmart so I'm pretty sure they were the box taquitos. And I'm not sure why there was only one waitress. But you had another female there that did not know how to do cashiering and also didn't look like she know how to do much of anything else. The only reason I would ever come back there is because of Cindy. For her to keep a smile on her face with all the hard work she faced it was amazing.

I've passed this place soooo many times to get on the 95 freeway and I'm mad I've been missing out! Yelp suggested it, so my wife and I decided to try it out. The entrance was kind of confusing and we walked all the way around the restaurant before finding the door lol. I liked the atmosphere, it's legit your typical diner. We were seated right away and asked our drink orders. We all got cherry limeade which was very refreshing. I can appreciate the fact that its free refills like any other soda option. 👍🏿 I got the double cheeseburger and added grilled onions (You can get up to 5 patties by the way...yiikkess). I substituted regular fries for the New York Style fries with bacon, cheese, and ranch. My wife ordered the steak tips with mash potatoes and gravy, green beans, and garlic toast. Our server Kelly was nice and gave us suggestions since it was our first time eating there. Our food came out pretty quick and I was thankful bc I was starving lol. Man oh man my burger was delicious. It reminded me of those old fashion home made burgers. The patties were juicy and made just right. I usually need mustard and mayo on my bun but not with this burger. I actually enjoyed the plain cheeseburger bc it had so much flavor. The New York fries was like a party in my mouth. I mean it was just so good. I did take a peice of my wifes steak and it was very tender. Really nice flavors and the gravy was good as well. For dessert I tried their 80's fried apple pie and even though I burned the heck out of my tongue I wanted to order another one lol. Everything was great! I'll definitely be back to try their breakfast and their vegan options. 👍🏿

Food was really good. The beautiful waitress recommended the beef tips and eggs with potatoes. I'm not going to lie I was hesitant, I usually only order steak at steak house's but she insisted, she said they were her favorite besides the fried rice. To my surprise it was very good. Steak was tender, juicy and flavorful. The potatoes were good as well. Next time I am in town I'll definitely try the fried rice. The staff was very nice and friendly and restaurant was clean.

Wow, words can't express how AMAZING the Vegan Steak Omelet breakfast was this morning! The omelet, coffee, hash browns and toast w/plant-based 'butter' were off the chain. And the service was second to none, thanks Cindy! I'll be back. Multiple times. This is the best Vegan breakfast I ever had, and for those Vegan folks who are super duper strict - (which I am not super strict, but appreciate this fact all the same): there is an entirely separate area where they cook the plant-based food, away from the animal proteins. I can't recommend Black & Blue enough. I will be a regular customer from this moment on.

No Passports Needed

Mood - Lunch for work break I called to make a reservation and was told there was space to accommodate my timeline. So that had my attention right off the bat. Upon entering was quickly greeted with great customer service and ushered over to a booth. Menus were given and drink order was taken. Opted for the Meat lovers omelet, chicken fried steak, both with NY potatoes and toast. Everything was well put together. I fell in love with the potatoes honestly. I am a sucker for breakfast at the wrong time, and this place truly satisfied my craving. Interior is several booth arrangements. Everything was very clean. I even saw the staff using a partition as they cleaned between patrons. I love cleanliness and great customer service. Menu is both sides with so much to offer. There is literally something for everyone here. Would recommend- pricing was reasonable and portions are generous. Customer service was continually on point, making sure my table was very well taken care of. The food was brought out quick and I got back to work on time.

Me and my babe was looking for somewhere to eat breakfast this past Sunday and everywhere was packed. I have passed this place many times and never thought to go in. We ended up here and was a little skeptical. The African American waitress was so very nice and kind. I asked her if the food was good there and she told me that they pride themselves on their food. We were seated and the waitress was wonderful as well. Kept checking in to make sure we were ok and if the food was good. The food was good but what I liked most about the place is how they made sure they social distanced everyone and the music. Old school R&B playing while you eat. The whole experience was just wonderful and we will return. Probably for dinner next time.

So grateful I decided to grab a veggie burger and NY fries. The seasoning on the fries is delicious, however the “patty” could use just a pinch of salt. (I added the salt and it’s great!). What a find this new place is. Terrific breakfast today including the best cheese and bacon grits I've had. Great menu' with specialties such as their chicken and waffles. And I have to talk about the music. great sixties tunes makes for a fabulous dinning experience. I will be back soon to sample the Shrimp And Grits on the dinner menu. A large group of us were staying in Vegas for just over a week, and we stopped in at Black & Blue Diner after getting much needed supplies (beer and spirits!) from the nearby Walgreens. While the vast majority of Vegas is rush rush rush and $$$, this intimate diner was a breath of fresh air. The breakfast was delicious and we didn't wait long for it to arrive. Our hostess Jennifer was amazing and accommodated our requests for a few breakfast changes from the menu. Won't likely be back in Vegas for a few months, however we'll definitely make sure we stop in at Black & Blue Diner again.

Because I'm a food critic I have to be honest. The waffles are very good it was 5 of us that went so we tried each other's food. The food was cool with a hint of warmth. We got loaded fries philly and bacon the portions didn't even cover the in and out tub tray they use plus the cheese sauce was cold, but if hot it was good. I had county fried steak it was good and tender but no flavor at all. Shrimp and grits was very good but the plain grits was nasty. The chicken sandwich was good good. Mashed potatoes good. We were quite impressed, thinking it was more of a fast food establishment, but my parents have gone recently for thier geriatric Sunday breakfast and suggested it; we were pleasantly surprised by the foods quality. It still has the bones of the old Wendy's that it occupies, and due to the pandemic it's a little busy because of spacing, and it's popularity. The menu is large, and they have vegan options. Prices are reasonable and the food was out well within a reasonale time.

I've been here only twice now, and the first time I got the vegan breakfast sandwich and my boyfriend got the vegan French toast. The sandwich was mediocre to me but I LOOOVED the French toast. Enjoyed the food and the music was really nice. The seats arent bolted to the floor or properly secured but its understandable incase they need to clean the booth.
