As good as it ever was!! We've been coming to Big Al's for years. Having not been to Vegas though since 2018, this trip was checking out our favorite places. We're so happy to see Big Al's is as good as ever. How can anyone resist their Chowder?!! We loved it. Thank you Big Al's.... we'll be back!!

Great and timely service/ friendly staff. $27 for a dozen oysters is pretty expensive and there are more options in Vegas. The shrimp and scallop Rosa was decent flavor wise, but the noodles were made in house and were very starchy and chalky, leaving a bad mouth feel. The portion sizes made the steep prices more worth it. The BigAl's rolls were fresh tasting.

A little pricey but large portions. Had the Jambalaya Pasta and Sourdough NE Chowder Bowl. The bowl was good value at $11, with a rich creamy sauce and great sourdough. The pasta was great, and at $22 could have been split by two.

The rice pilaf was good but i feel the shrimp needed seasoning. My friend got the roasted pan with shrimp.. it look like mush, she said it wasn't that good and left half of it. The jumbalaya cooked with pasta, you gave to ask for rice instead when you order. I would get it with rice pilaf.. that too was just ok.

1 minute read: Al's Oyster Bar is conveniently located near the center of The Orlean's Casino where Table games are played, on one side of the restaurant. Then, on the other side you have Slot machines chirping, ringing and a'huffin'an'a'puffin' away. Al's is not walled up but has a fence with tables along side that separates the inner Bar and booths. The Host(ess) greets you and directs you inside. On 11/27/21, (9 days ago) my wife and I went for lunch. Our Waiter was a courteous, smiling man who politely tended us. His name is MANNY. OUR BILL amounted to almost $80 and because Manny was very ATTENTIVE, We handed him 2 Sawbuck notes (TIP). He smiled gratefully. Later that same day, at about 9pm, we went back for more. Why⁉️ Glad you asked‼️ Big Al's Oyster Bar KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE COOKIN', is all. That Evening's Dinner was waited in by a beautiful little Gal named MERCEDES. She was very busy but just like Manny, we were taken care of as if we were the Owners. We had ALASKAN KING CRAB LEGS, Oysters, Clam Chowder, Crab Louie Salad, H🔥T Sliced butter bread, and wine. Our Tab was about $80 as it was at lunch. We also handed Mercedes 2 Sawbuck Notes and a hearty THANK YOU. Twice in one day was worth it. Trust me for once. Thank you.

Incredible choice for food and drinks. I come by every couple of months from CA and Big Al’s is where I go for dinner. The team there is fantastic with Mark (served us the food… I may need to correct his name), Danny, Juan, Josie, and Teddy! They always give great input on what to choose from and have positive vibes. Definitely recommend the chowder(s), jambalaya pasta, oyster shooters, and everything else on there!

Wonderful & amazing food here. Oysters are fresh and tasty; a little bit on the small size though. CLAM chowder is one of the best I have had so far. Shrimp with pasta was excellent as well. The only mediocre appetizer was their chevice - it was Not seasoned at all and completely lacked any flavor or lemon/lime juices.

A bit off the strip, but the food was great and you cannot beat the prices. Service was quick and pleasant. It's not glitz and glamour and excess as some of the other spots on the strip, but this place is more my speed. Definitely a spot to hit if you're itching for oysters and Cajun food. Their shooters are tasty, the gumbo was well portioned and flavorful, and the shrimps were humongous.

Just trust me and get the new England clam chowder. It's the absolute best! Also, huge portion and difficult to finish. Great little spot in the Orleans. Definitely check it out

We ate at Big Al's while waiting to go to a movie at Century Orleans. Had the special, Alaskan crab legs and New England clam chowder. It was dynamite. Great atmosphere, and staff. We sat at the bar and chatted with the cooks. Very busy restaurant, but it's worth the wait.

Best white clam chowder I have had in Las Vegas in a long time here in Las Vegas. Plenty of clams in the chowder. My husband had the Manhattan clam chowder, which was also delicious. Will definately go back to try the other fare there.

This was my 1st time eating at Al Oyster Bar, although I heard all positive reviews. I admit my timing was off because I didn't get to dinner until 9:15 pm when the establishment was closing its kitchen in about 45min. The dining area was still in use diners were at 3 or 4 large tables and about 6 smaller ones with 6 ppl. At counter including myself. Several entrees on menu, meals seemed pricey although I ended up an. seafood roll it was nothing what I intended to eat in a po boy sandwich, which I was told that they no longer have on menu....an item well missed. Bring it back

We stayed at ORleans casino many times and never been at this restaurant because of massive line. Today we are so lucky that we get in early for dinner. The food was amazing with reasonable prices. Their oyster Rockefeller was bomb that was half dozen per order. I will order more next time. Their jumbo crawfish is soupy, I used to and I preferred dried with seasoning like typical Louisiana crawfish recipe. Overall, the food was delicious and definitely will eat here again… I forgot to take photos because I can’t wait to eat the oyster Rockefeller.

The food overall was delicious, and portion size was very large! I wouldn't recommend ordering the Alaskan crab legs, while you get a decent portion the lack of meat in them isn't worth the effort put forth to actually enjoy them. The New England Clam chowder is absolutely amazing and I haven't stopped thinking about it since! I give it 5 happy lick faces😋😋😋😋😋 and will be making a pot of clam chowder very soon!!

This is always where I go for my first meal when I arrive in Las Vegas. The best New England clam chowder I have ever had outside of Boston! They also have the best Jambalaya that I have ever had in my Life,bar none! I have eaten here more than forty times and it is always excellent. Worth the effort to visit!!!

If you don't know whether or not you are a seafood lover, give Al's a try. Lobster roll or Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Shrimp or. . . You will know by the first bite. And as good as the food, being able to watch a group of Chefs work like a musical instrument in front of your face if you sit at the bar, is also an education. A good one. It is a great place to eat at the Orleans Casino. The food is top tier seafood mostly. Prices are market. Not cheap but neither is the market.

My food was ok my mother’s was good I ordered gumbo (which still had shrimp shells in it) and she had the clam chowder. There was also a waiter who was being extremely nosy. She was constantly staring, even looking in my moms purse.

This place was fantastic. My dad, wife and I all love clam chowder to begin with. And oysters. They warmed is that there should were big. But WOW!!! I didn't even get the biggest one and my wife and I had to share it. And when my dad got his bowl he was like there's no way I can eat all this. But it was delicious! Plus they give you some delicious warm bread with butter to go with your meal. This place was fantastic. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.

I like coming here for lunch. The service is fast and excellent. The food is impressive. The oysters a nice size. They're not the wimpy ones you would get at a seafood buffet. The chowders are beautifully flavored and have nice meaty chunks of clams. Be careful not to overfill on the bread. It's really good.

A group of 10 of us so I'm making this review with all in mind. 1 of us doesn't eat ANY seafood and the only alternative was chicken as a shrimp substitute for the pastas or a chicken club sandwich. The sandwich was order and he was underwhelmed with it. One of the other people was disappointed with the clam chowder in a bread bowl. It wasn't hot. On the other hand, those of us that ordered the pasta with seafood dishes were THRILLED with the quantity and quality of the dishes! Overall Big Al's has been one of our favorite casino locations to eat. The one caveat is, if you don't like seafood, don't bother. If you DO love seafood, I HIGHLY recommend Big Al's!

The clam chowder and seafood chowder was delicious. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. I really enjoyed the Alaskan crab legs, but it didn't seem like a pound was there. I eat crab legs often, and it just didn't appear to be a pound on the plate. The nice thing about it, the legs were cut in half, so all that was needed was to pull the meat out with a fork.

I've been to Big Al's around 20 times now and all I've ever had is the Clam Chowder. It's the best I've had anywhere in my entire life so I see no reason to try anything else. I probably should at some point but I cave every time I get there. It's so rich and creamy and seasoned perfectly. The service is always spot on as well. If your a Chowder junky like me give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

This place is a hidden gem inside The Orleans Hotel. Craig the manager checked on us on the regular and had great Vegas stories to share with us, the food was hands down AMAZING and the portions are huge. And get Leo to make you one of his fabulous cocktails! Will definitely visit again and again.

Good place to eat when we come to a show at the Orleans. The clam chowder is very good (either the Manhattan or the Boston). Lots of pasta dishes. Only thing we didn't care for was the seafood boil, it had lots of seafood but the broth could have had more taste. Not a huge wine selection, but we usually get a bottle of white for around $20.

I have been eating at big Al's since 1998 and the food is still great and plentiful.. Always have extra to take home for dinner. Happy hour starts at 2pm daily and if you are a regular they have a coupon program too. When you go to Las Vegas you must try this quizen you will love food.

Manny was so welcoming! He poured me a beer and offered suggestions.Tiebe kept our glasses full and cleared our messes. We chose Oysters Rockefeller, Jumbo Crawfish, and King Crab. Hottest horseradish I've ever had. If turned me into a mess, but wow what an experience. Unfortunately im now left chasing the dragon, and resorting to trying to make my own super hot horseradish at home since Michigan to Vegas is a long way to go to get oysters with hot horseradish. Thanks Chef!

Well...this is probably one of my favorite places to eat..in all of las vegas...the CIOPINNO is to die for...ive had several all over vegas and elsewhere across the nation and none compares to their flavors... you can also get is as spicy as youd like on a 1-10 scale.... i got 7 and it was pretty spicy..but super yummy...ive been here 4 years apart and had the same item, and it was just as good as i remember...
