The dining room was closed so I used the drive thru. It took 15 minutes to get the order and I was the 3rd car in line. I ordered the gyro combo with fries and a drink. Along with a Greek salad. Both items were good for the price. Store is in an old Long John Silver's.

Salad was excellent the first time I had it, the second time they forgot to put cheese on the salad and it was a lot of seasoning on the chicken. But other than that it was good.

We go to Yanni’s several times per month. We’ve always had great experiences each and every time. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is very nice and the menu is huge. I highly recommend stopping by, especially if you like gyros.

The store was very clean, and also empty. It wasn't hard to pick a seat the booths were very comfortable. Ordering out food was quick and easy, the cashier is very nice. It took less than 10 minutes for us to get our food. I ordered the shrimp Basket Combo, the shrimp was very good and the French fries were some of the best one's I've had. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to grab a quick bite, it is very cheap as well.

The gyros are soooo good! This picture does it absolutely no justice. I read several reviews before visiting and they deserve every single great review they get. They're super friendly and provide great service & ample portions of amazing food. I happened into a small sum of unexpected money and decided we would go out for dinner tonight, so my son and I were discussing where to go. I kinda twisted his arm to get him to agree with me to go here and he's the one that said it first... "We'll definitely be back!" I hardly ever carry cash on me and as we were leaving, I said something about wishing I had some cash to throw in their tip jar. My son piped up and said we should go to the bank and get some money and bring it back...so we did...and he got to be the one to go in and give it to them. He came out the door with a huge smile on his face carrying two little trays of homemade baklava! He said I don't know what this is, but they said it's homemade! He was really happy with the food here and it's kind of difficult to get him excited about different things, so I was more than happy to give a nice tip to these guys tonight for such a delicious meal. "We'll definitely be back!" Thank you!

Delicious & Cheap! Although checkout took long (presumably owner walked to back to inform cooks on the specifics of our order) but I stood there waiting to pay for a few minutes. I also had to grab my own cup, not sure if they forgot. The left door had a lock on it and I thought they were closed but the other was open, not sure why. The home made baklava (already ate, yummy) is absolutely delicious! Love this place it deserves to be a local favorite! ♡

I have been longing for a legit gyro since Yummy's Grill closed. THIS is it! The meat was perfectly seasoned and high quality. The fries were just right. The pizza puff was sheer deliciousness. I'm going to be making many more visits to their drive-thru.

Go here... That's all you need to know. Delicious food and great service. The lamb is moist, tender and delicious. 7 of us ate together and we barely touched the breadth of Yanni's menu.

Don't discount this place because of the side of town it's on or that it's in an old Long John Silvers. Yanni's upon entering is very clean, with a friendly staff and an affordable menu. One of the better gyros I've had served on a crispy pita, amazing tzatziki sauce and they grilled my onions for me no questions asked, but I'm not sure I'd classify it as Greek. They serve lamb and chicken gyros, burgers, wings, tenderloins.... this is a classic sandwich spot that has something for everybody. This is my new go to spot when I'm feeling like stretching my buck and walking away full and happy.

Just tried Yannis for my first time last Monday and I have been hooked ever since! I tried my first gyro and I fell in love instantly! Management is absolutely wonderful! Happy smiling faces! Been eating here for a few weeks now never had a bad meal the beef Philly steaks are delicious and they have put a new item on the menu chicken wraps I had the chicken bacon ranch and it made my mouth water wanting more. If you haven't been there this is one place you need to visit.

Overview: Food is fast, clean, and big. I left full paying less than 10 bucks for my meal. 6 bucks to be exact. This place is notable and I would recommend their Philly cheese stake with Chicken, meal. The crew was very kind as well. Even though it was packed we got our meal within 10 minutes of ordering. There is a drive through option at this location as well. Stop by for lunch if you like Gyros and Philly cheese stakes.

We're in town from out of state and looking for good local places to eat. Happened to find this place perusing through Google maps and saw the high reviews. Drove over and had dinner here. The decor isn't awesome but the food was absolutely amazing. It came out piping hot and fresh. They gyro was very good. The prices were super low as well being on par with a McDonald's meal for cost. Highly recommend coming here and plan to swing back by before I leave town.

I love this place. The food is always good, always fresh, and very reasonably priced. You can’t go wrong with the gyro sandwich or the gyro salad. It can get pretty busy here at lunchtime but it is worth the wait for sure!

Greek salad was exactly what I wanted. Portion was large. Lots of veggies and the meat was delicious. Also very friendly when I placed my order and picked it up at the window. I would definitely recommend this location. I would have given them five stars but they need to clean up the outside of the restaurant maybe give it a facelift.

I'm in town visiting some family and me and my brother decided to stop in for the first time while looking for something to eat. This was by far the best gryo I've ever had and quite possibly, the best fries I've ever had as well. The owner is super personable and kind, the food was delicious, and the prices were amazing. I wanted to attache a picture of my food with this review but it was gone before I remembered that cameras exist. I definitely recommend coming here, and I will 100% be back in!

My husband brought a gyro home for me and I reheated it, so it wasn't fresh from the restaurant. Overall it was tasty, I wish the sauce had a little more flavor and more veggies. The gyro did have a lot of meat to it and the prices are very affordable.

Saw reviews for Yanni's while traveling so decided to try it. My husband loved the beef and lamb gyro and my Philly cheesesteak was excellent. One of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've ever had (and I've had a lot!). Delicious baklava too!

We got the gyro combo. The food was prepared quickly and tasted good overall. The tzatziki sauce was great! The fries had no seasoning but were fresh. Only issue was that no one greeted us when we came in. Good customer service, you acknowledge your customers when they come in. Never did say a greeting just, "What can I get for you?" But at least the food made up for that! I'll try them again!

Excellent. Wife and I came to Indy to pick someone up from the airport and decided to stop here as we love gyro's, but my wife makes her own and they are tailored to us with extra garlic, etc. These were neutral/perfect/by the book and it was good to taste a genuine gyro again. Fries were great as well. Fairly priced. Very friendly staff, even came to check on us. Will come back if I am in town.

Fantastic food, generous portions, friendly staff, and good prices! What more can you ask for? I'm a big guy and ordered the gyro plate. They suggested I get it to go because I wouldn't be able to finish it all. Clearly they underestimated my ability to eat... Thanks guys for packaging it to go, I barely ate half in the restaurant. Next time I'll only order one gyro so I can save room for the baklava; it looked delicious.

A coworker told me about this place and I am glad I listened. They are in the old Long John’s by the shuttered Kmart on West Washington; the downside is it hard to tell they are a Gyros restaurant with their poor signage. But it is bright and clean inside and the small staff is friendly. The food is excellent and priced to sell: I had the gyros lunch combo, which included a large drink and fries., and was a bargain at $7.99! My girl had the philly cheese steak, which I helped her eat and everything was as good as it could be! I will definitely be back and intend to eat my way through all their menu offerings...😃

This place took over for Long John silvers near McDonald's and the dead K-Mart on Washington. I've been there 3-4 times and never go hungry. The prices on the menu look a little high. 4.50-6.00 for most of his base items. Oh, and a 25+ item list. Hot dog, Italian sausage, burgers, Philly cheese steak, the iconic pork tenderloin sandwich, and of course Gyros. I've had the last two, and for the combo you get a drink and steak fries. Combo is $8, but you Will need that fork to clean up the gyro meat that falls out while you eat, and the pork tenderloin is a little bigger than a quarter pound burger. Taste is awesome, and food only takes between 5 and 10 minutes. Even the fries are good. It looks like a hole in the wall on the outside and it is clean on the inside, but you'll keep coming back for that food.

Best food I have ever had on the westside of Indy. Hands down the freshest and most delicious food I've had from anywhere before. The fries are perfection and the sandwiches are mouthwatering. Gyros were great. Meat is better and more plentiful than other local places. The guy that runs this place is so nice. Greek owned. The gyro plates come with free drinks, when I told him I only needed 1 fountain drink he went ahead and swapped my other drink for a can pop so I could save one for later. Also, if you hate that the fries are always soggy at places like Steak & Lemonade, this guy is actually smart and doesn’t put the fries in a styrofoam container, he puts them in a bag so they are fresh and crispy! 👍

I've been to this location somewhere around 8 to 10 times now. The first several times the food was good but they didn't have coleslaw even though it was listed on the menu. I almost always get a gyro. But this last time the gyro meat was very very dry and they said they had coleslaw but what they gave me was nothing more than shredded cabbage and maybe a package of mayonnaise put in it it had nothing but bad taste no salt no pepper no purple cabbage no carrots no nothing. I do like to try to support small businesses but the problem is I want something more than just french fries can't we get an actual side item you know maybe something green maybe just a touch healthy

We got a huge plate of meat and sauce because we asked for gyros sans the bread. They really delivered. As somebody who needs to eat a low glycemic diet, I'm used to being disappointed. So, on a whim we tried this place. It's on my way home from the grocery. Oh, it was good. The portions were huge, everything tasted fresh. They even gave us feta cubes with the gyros. We both got the gryo dinners and both will have gyros for lunch tomorrow. We will be back.

I live in Brazil Indiana and travel to Indianapolis for cardiology appointments and when I do I travel through Plainfield on US Highway 40 and stop by to grab the best gyros hands-down ever, no matter what I’ve had from there, from salads two appetizers everything has been absolute freshest. So if you are traveling through that area I strongly recommend grabbing you something from Yanni’s gyros❤️

I've had gyros and kebabs all around the world, and this small joint on the west side of Indy tops 90% of them. If you want some delicious greek food, and you want it fast, Yanni's is a most stop. I try the find the time to get over there once every other week at least.

Yanni’ Golden Gyros is by far the best Gyro place I have found in the state of Indiana! From the portions of meat and fries to the price and excellent service, you can’t find a better deal. Wherever I travel in the world I always try the local Gyros and I can’t believe this place is literally 5 minutes from work here at the airport. Best day this whole week for sure!

This place came very highly suggested, and after trying it for the forst time I can see why. It is worth the drive across town. I got the chicken gyro plater at the behest of another customer in front of me, and yes I should have gotten the gyro. As they say leave them wanting and they will return. I left the better option for next time to give myself a reward for making the trip over again. The chicken gyro platter was 11.25, one of the most expensive things on the menu, and well worth it. There was planty of food for two people to eat off of the plater. The pita was soft and fluff. The meat perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. The service was fast and pleasent. Overall it was a great first experience, and i cannot wait to return.

Yanni's is great. I first visited about a year ago and am very happy to see they are still going a year later. Sandwiches are all good fries , onion rings and cheese sticks are fresh fried at time you order. It's owned and operated locally.

Yannis Gyro is not fancy. In fact, it's a former Long John Silvers restaurant. The menu is simple and the prices are reasonable. The food is good and the portions are generous. The Greek Salad with Gyro Meat was very good and large too. The gyro was not as large as some place but, was very tasty.

I'd have given Yanni's a 5-star review, but my wife ordered a Chicago dog and the onions were red, and the pickles were chips instead of spears. Otherwise I think their gyros are consistently good, one of my favorites in Indy. There's always a sprinkle of paprika on the tzatziki, which is weirdly nice.

The food is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Everything is homade including the pitas and french fries. The gyro platter has 2 pitas and can feed 2 people. We got 2 gyro platters for 4 people and we all walked away full! We will definitely be coming back if we are in town!!!

Quaint little Greek restaurant that belies food that is astoundingly good and as "authentic" as you find in the area. Everything I orded was great, the side salad had feta cheese, greek olives, and was sprinkled with oregano. The gyro was seasoned with paprika, which is how I remember them when I lived in Greece, and the only place I've had them that way since, it just seems like a little extra effort was put into everything they served.
