Reviews of Kuma's Corner
Jess Hughes (saxyjess)
I stopped in here before a show at the Hoosier Dome, and I was not disappointed!! This metal-themed restaurant is perfect for a quick drink or dinner. I could spend hours just looking at the walls here. Everything was super clean, and our waiter was so patient and very nice. Even though it’s more than I would usually pay for a burger, it was worth it. Piled high with toppings and cooked to order, it’s the best burger I’ve had in Fountain Square. The ketchup that comes with the fries was also a highlight! I think there’s something for everyone on the menu, which has clever names for every tantalizing entry.
Rob Delach
My wife and I agreed that we had some of the best hamburgers we've ever eaten here. The toppings were great, the pretzel bun held up nicely to the large 10 oz patty, and they definitely know how to cook the beef patty to a perfect medium rare. Bonuses for a great beer selection and good cocktails.

So yes the Mac and cheese is phenomenal, the decor was pleasant to the eyes, great music, great service as well. Now the not so great, the burger was properly cooked at the temp I asked, the burger itself was blend, did not stand out, I have had better burgers and cheaper than this for example twin peaks or jaggers for better price. Fries were very crispy but nothing special.

If you love metal music then you will love this place! They have a great beer selection & the burgers are outstanding! I'm vegetarian & loved the vegan patty option. My husband is straight carnivore & for a reg meat burger. He went w/ the Metallica & I got the Iron Maiden. Both were super delicious!! And the music is perfect!
Hannes Breuninger
Been there on a Saturday night. The waitress was nice and attentive. I got the Kuma's Burger with a fried egg on top. The burger was decent, but the bun was a bit too heavy for my taste. Would be better if it was fluffier. The fries could have been more crispy, they just stocked together.
Beer selection was decent and reasonably priced.
This restaurant is metal themed. There are plenty of posters and pictures of Metal Bands and the music which is playing is, as well, metal. So you must be okay with some hard riffs during your meal.

Man, what a place. The burgers were amazing, the service was OUTSTANDING. As an old school metal head, the drinks and menu were thematically on point and amusing. Note: I do not recommend getting an app and then a burger for each person unless you came hungry or plan for significant leftovers. A Slayer, 2 burgers, and a thing of cheese curds for 3 bug hungry dudes left us sad we couldn't eat most of a slayer and about half a burger. And we WERE sad, because the food was great. Like..really great. I will be back. Also: Malort flag. The decor in the hallway and bathrooms was a treat too. Parking lot is across the street. So that was a little odd, just keep an eye out and you're gold.
Jeremy Schneider (misfit0313)
The burgers are excellent, portions are huge. Craft beer selection is astounding. It is a must stop place for hungry fans of hard rock and heavy metal. The only thing louder than the music is the art on the walls.
The Elevator and Airplane Finder
I’ve heard about all the hype over Kuma’s Corner and I decided to see if the hype was real.
I came a couple days ago for dinner and sat outside on the patio. We had a friendly waitress.
I order their famous Kuma burger with fresh cut fries and it was just out of this world. The portions are huge! And being I love burgers, I couldn’t even finish this one. That’s how big they are. Their fries were tasty too.
Overall, this was a great experience!

This is the BEST burgers in Indianapolis. The heavy metal theme is fun but it's not overly loud (in a good way). It's intentionally divey but still clean and friendly. The food is incredible and all of the burgers are HUGE. Mine had goat cheese, a corn relish, tobacco onions, and a couple other toppings. I ordered medium and it was cooked perfectly. The bar service was great and the bartender was friendly. They also have a rotating selection of local beers that are fun to try.
Curtis Jackson
The food was great. Came in big portions i couldn't finish it all. The ace of spade comes with a watermelon wedge i should of got a second one. They have their own parking lot across the street.
Adam Clark
Came to the area for a day and had to stop by for lunch. My wife was keen on trying the sleep burger which is based on a Thanksgiving dinner that they have this time of the year. I had the Kumas Burger which was great. Tried the cheese curds for the first time and they are ok. Based on their other food I hoped for something that stood out. Overall I recommend checking them out.
Greg Eakins
I don't even like heavy metal and this place is awesome.
It has a totally metal vibe to the place. Heavy metal music, piercings, concert shirts, beer, and giant burgers.
We had the Plague Bringer burger and the Heartwork (V) and both were awesome. The Heartwork is some kind of black bean patty, but it was surprisingly good and guilt-free since only a bunch of vegetables had to die for us to enjoy it. The Plague Bringer burger was huge, but so flavorful that we demolished it and left nothing but that feeling of gut destruction.
Service was excellent. The morale here is really high and the workers seem to enjoy what they do, and it shows in the final product.
Destini Clapp
Awesome place! The food is outstanding and the beer list has so many delicious options. We tried their cheese curds, Iron Maiden and the Slayer. Highly recommend
Derrick Meece
Busy Saturday night we only waited 5 min to be seated. The food was sooo good and very fresh, the service was super fast. All in all phenomenal atmosphere and experience pricey but well worth it!!
Ali Jr
I like the vibe here. Great service, and a cool concept. The portions are huge so keep that in mind.
Give the house beer a try too. It’s good.
Brandon Carter
Phenomenal place to eat. I like the open kitchen vibe. It was hard watching all those delicious burgers be cooked and walk right past you. Also liked how they were showing a horror movie in the middle of the day. Moving on from the vibes to the food: I had the plague bringer and mac and cheese as the side. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. The ingredients were fresh (those fresh jalapeños caught me off guard and definitely made me sweat). I was so happy I had more than enough food for leftovers. Friendly and attentive staff, easy parking, good brews. Would come back again.
Izzy Rock
This place is the perfect place for a metal head like myself. Great music, atmosphere, and vibe…but the food is astounding!!!
I had the Black Sabbath and fries. So good. 10/10
Brady Adams
Excellent parking considering the restaurant is located in Fountain Square. Bangin music, waiters were awesome, the place was metal AF. The food was killer, I suggest the Mastadon. Mac and cheese... delicious. The chili was also great. All around, I give this place 11/10 🤘
Heath Bland
Wow! Everyone needs to try this place. The best fried pickles and Mac and cheese ever! Great selection of burgers that have the perfect mix of flavor. Worth the price you pay.
Jonathan Powley
When you've got a craving for a large, raunchy burger (all named after a variety of metal bands) with a few beers on the side and hard 'n heavy tunes playing in the background, Kuma's has you covered. The bartenders are always friendly and accommodating, and tend to select worthwhile movies to play on their bar TV. Bring your dirtbag friends and do a round of Jeppson's Malört shots, it's mandatory for cool people.
Joshua Edwards
So yesterday we came in for the Big ten championship. A buddy of mine told me to meet him here. So yesterday I embarked on a burger that was called sour vein. Which had chicken tenders waffle strips bacon cheese and a burger patty the fries were definitely tasty salty and crispy. Sorry I did not have photos of the cheese curd or the jalapeno poppers also definitely delicious
Joshua Adams
Really delicious burger and chips! The beer they have is unique and a big variety. I loved how the services was honestly and helpful. I did find it hard to eat; the burger was as big as my face and very sticky from the maple syrup. Loved that there was a whole area for parking, makes going downtown less if a headache. Also at no fault to the restaurant there was condensation from the av vents dripping on to my head. Made the visit memorable as it was easy to laugh at what was happening.
Roosevelt Winston
very good food and costumer service. everyone was friendly. I had the burger with cheese bacon and mushrooms and I also had the mac and cheese with chicken and bacon. the fries were delicious!! the toppings for the burger was fresh!!
Kevin s
I think the prices are very fair especially when you consider the portion sizes. They have a unique menu selection of specialty burgers with heavy metal themes. You don’t have to be a heavy metal fan to appreciate their food, but if you are it’s just a bonus. They also have a very nice patio for outdoor dining.
Jason Long
Had the Mastodon burger and fries. Food was good and they had a large beer selection as well. Just a little loud though, hard to have a conversation. Will try again.
Spencer Heffron
So, first impressions go a long way with how I write reviews and I'll tell you now the impression that I got on my first visit to this place was spectacular. The server, host(ess), and other staff were both attentive and kind without being overly fake or helicoptery. Antonio was our sever and props to the man, he made sure we had everything without being overbearing.
The atmosphere was good, not my cup of tea inside (just loud), but outside was pretty nice. Umbrellas for the sun at the tables, nice sitting area outside, and the road wasn't too busy or loud and other patrons weren't either.
I loved...the...food. It was huge portions, tasty and even good the second time around. I warmed up half of my burger in a toaster oven when I got home, buns for 20 second in the microwave. It was just as good as before. The poppers were excellent too 🥵🔥 though so beware. Next time I want to try the pickles.
Even with the price tag of the food it was still worth it. No gimmicks here. Just good food.
If you're looking for a hipster joint in Indianapolis, love rock/metal music, great staff, and good food check Kuma's Corner out. I know I'll be back.
Amer Duric
Best Burgers hands down !! It can get busy , but its worth it. Staff is super friendly ! And they have good parking across the street !
Kalamity Deschain
Had lunch with friends right at noon on a Saturday -- you immediately walk-in and it smells very clean in the restaurant, and you can smell the fresh produce used. The restaurant was super busy but it didn't feel packed -- they've definitely got the distancing thing down.
The service was probably the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. Many different individuals came by to grab plates, refresh drinks, deliver drinks and food. Molly, our actualy server, was sweet and efficient and did the right amount of checking in. It was great to see a team work so well together.
The food... get out of here. My friend is a regular and now as of today I can see why. Not only are the portions absolutely huge (definitely have a second meal out of my entree), the food is just great. The burger tastes fresh, it was cooked as requested, though I'd love a bit more salt and pepper in the meat itself. The bun withstood the burger and soaked up the sauces. The waffles stick -- I honestly need a whole basket of those with the raspberry sauce and syrup.
The fries were thick, crunchy, and seasoned well. I had a whiskey with lunch and was not disappointed with the serving, the bartender was friendly with the pours today.
Anyway, this spot is worth coming to. The vibe is great if you're a metal/hardcore/horror fan like me, and if you love delicious American bar food and killer playlists, you'll be right at home.
Lindsey Covington
My husband and I went to Kumas for the first time specifically for the July burger of the month...and we weren't disappointed! We loved the fried pickles and both burgers we got! We will be back to try the mac and cheese!
NuKe Grimm
Though there's a picture of a bear out front, they don't offer bear meat burgers, believe me I asked several times. I even offered to bring them the bear meat myself if they promised not to ask any questions, but still, no dice. Regardless, the burgers here are phenomenal! I've enjoyed the Plague Bringer, the Mastodon, the Deathklok, and the Slayer and have never been let down! This place rocks! Be prepared to wait on the weekends.

Ever since I seen this place on the Travel Channel in Chicago I wanted to try it and that was years ago and when they opened up here a few years back I most definitely was super happy!!! I mean who doesn’t like a big ole cheeseburger?! I mean everything on the menu is good here and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they have a burger of the month super dope you can’t NEVER go wrong here this is honestly my FAVORITE BURGER SPOT in the city!!! And I’m willing to debate about it lol!!! But I come here often and I’ve had so many different beautiful cheeseburgers here it’s unreal!! I love that all the staff is DOPE and friendly and you can talk to them all and chill and you can see the Chefs back they’re putting in work all the dope art everywhere and I’m not in to metal but when I’m there it just all goes together ❤️ anyways I started of with a beer and a water then I got started with some macaroni and cheese with broccoli and smoked sausage in it so good then I ordered the Iron Man and french fries so dope every burger has a name and it ties in with the metal theme…. I highly highly highly recommend this place to everybody!!!
Danielle Ibarra
Freaking amazing burgers🤤🤤 loved the restaurant vibes and staff. Super cool people and unique atmosphere. GET A BURGER!
Travis Hawkins
I'm not a fan of a gimmick and they definitely have a gimmick with the heavy Metal theme but it's not at all distracting. They're not resting on the gimmick to bring people in. When we were there the music was a not loud at all. If they just told you they had a burger that would change how you judge burgers that would be true as well.
The burger was one of the best I've had in Indiana. The meat tasted like meat as it should. The patty was thick and they'll cook it any way you would like. The toppings included your standards but I'm sure everyone going for the first time will find something they've never seen on a burger before. The fries were crispy and hot. All of the food came out good and hot.
There's a whole set of Mac & Cheese options that we didn't try but will have to return for.
The service was top notch as well. Our server anticipated our needs and provided refills and things before I noticed I needed them.
Mel T
So good! He had the Led Zeppelin, I had the Sourvein and we got mac n cheese. The burger was perfectly cooked and so tasty. The mac and cheese was DELISH and I am a cheese fanatic! So many great and interesting options I can't wait to go back and try another! The art on the walls..the loud rock music and the fun cocktails all just add to the experience. Definitely recommend!
Jacob Bales
Kuma's is a magical place where they play thrash and death metal. Where there is dark, heavy imagery on the walls. Where they not only allow graffiti in the bathrooms, they encourage it. Yet the food is so good it attracts people from all walks of life and you will be surprised at who you see in there every time. It takes something special to do this.
Alice Whitlock
Food was delicious!! Service was great! The portions are large which is amazing, so you will have left overs. The only bad thing is it's costly. Not saying it isn't worth it, just a warning.
Crystal Woodsmall
Phenomenal food, best burgers I have had. Exceptional service, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.
Kimberly Brooks
Delicious Mac and Cheese! I added mushrooms and bacon! Fabulous! Got a small order of fries with pulled pork. 😋 Definitely a place to go check out! Love for music is a must. There is an outdoor patio. …
Lonnie Perry
The French Fries were spectacular. My wife had the Metallica burger and said it was really good. We liked the atmosphere along with the great music. The service was top notch and our server made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
All of the staff appeared to be happy and enjoy working with each other. We sat near the kitchen and the cooks seemed to be enjoying their work.
We have had a very nice dining experience each time we have visited.
There is "Kuma's Corner Customer Parking" across the street if you have difficulty finding a parking spot.
betheny smith
Food was excellent!! Fresh made chips and french fries. Our waitress Halle was very attentive and took great care of us. Definitely will be returning very soon.
Kevin Crook
Literally the biggest portions I've ever seen. Everything was absolutely delicious but it's so much food it's stupid. Great service, cool atmosphere, amazing food. But seriously it was hard to walk to the car afterwards and we took most of it to go. Cheese curds were great. Caesar salad was delicious and everything was homemade. Mac and cheese really is unbelievable. Burgers were great and cooked perfectly. Though slightly too big to really enjoy. Highly recommend this place.
Amaya Tarrants
It is costly for burgers, but you get a great portion and topping selections for the price. Mac and Cheese was good, it didn’t particularly blow my mind, but the burgers were excellent.
Emma Neybert
Great food, cool vibes, fun people. Mac and cheese is the bomb. Burgers are good too.
Jewell DuBois
Great place with a very friendly atmosphere and even friendlier people. Food is fire. Liquor is fire. Portions are huge so come hungry. Will be returning for sure.
Kara Chimera
Absolutely love this place!! My husband and I were in desperate need of a date night and Kuma's was a perfect choice. Burgers were cooked perfectly and honestly the best fried pickles I've ever had. Staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!
Zachary Huggins (Zach05pd)
Absolutely amazing food and staff. A meal here is definitely a meal 2. Portions are so large we had another lunch for the following day. We look forward to trying more burgers.
Bearded Wonder
Great metal bar/restaurant with hearty delicious meals and hands down the best beer selection that we've encountered in Indy along with a great staff; a bit high priced on some beers imo. A definite visit while you're in town or a local, absolutely the best damn staff I've had the pleasure of dining/drinking with!! Order the Slayer!
Joyce Rodin
My sons had been raving about this place quite a few times and I was dying to try for myself! I'm so glad I twisted my husband's arm to take me here! The food was fantastic, I loved the Metallica burger and fries, and the scrumptious and rich mac and cheese!! Great service too, very efficient and attentive! I can't wait to come back soon.
Kaylee Caudill
Everything I've had on the menu is pretty fantastic, but the Mac n cheese can't be beat. Cocktails are always on point. Everyone on staff is just so nice too. I wish I lived next door, so I could be there all the time, but its always worth the 35 minute drive each way.
Blake Bausa
First time customer here. Loved the heavy metal theme going on and their burgers and drinks was on point. I had the Kaijo burger and loved it. Hope to be back soon. The server we had was really cool too (guy with the long hair with the ponytail) I'm out of state so I hope they consider having a location in Jersey soon!
Jameson Terzini
Want a unique dining experience with excellent food, a diverse draft list and knowledgeable staff? Look no further, Alexis and the staff run an amazing establishment. Extra bonus points for carrying one of my favorite Indiana craft breweries, Grand Junction Brewing Co.
Amber Slimp
Not too impressed for $100 for two people. Waited forever for a server. Our appetizer came out fast, the jalapeno poppers were so battered there was wayyy too much breading. The sauce which was a raspberry sauce was highly disappointing. Cheese curds were ok. Our main food took forever it felt like. The burgers were too big to handle and not much flavor in the patty itself as well as the fries and chips. The service was not the best as we kept having to ask for refills. But I will say the set up and atmosphere helped. And our server was pleasant just not in a hurry. A few pointers would be less fries/chips on the side. Maybe bigger cups for soda drinkers to help the servers with so many refills. And Ranch. Every restaurant should carry ranch. All and all I give it a 4 star because there is room for improvement to a great thing. 😉
Brian Fuller
Great food, service & large portions. Fast service, the only thing I didn’t like was they don’t have just a normal burger on their menu as it’s all like specialty burgers, but the food was still great! Just saying not everyone wants a bunch of stuff piled on their burger especially someone that may have certain health issues.
Bonnie Licklider
A favorite place to eat in Fountain Square! Great atmosphere. Plenty of parking! Great food every time! Thank you!
Kristin Swank
Yum! Got a really great burger and a small side of Mac and cheese with andouille sausage and garlic. It was awesome! Our server was also super nice, and they had a good selection of ciders.
David Grant Lee
This place is almost always a smash hit. The atmosphere is fun and the burgers are huge. It's a little pricey and can take a while if they are busy but is usually a great place
Dominique Hardin
The restaurant came highly recommended first thing that excited me to try out the location. The food was incredible and the chili is TOP TIER! Btw they stick to the heavy metal theme which I loved!
Michael S
Ordered burger and chicken sandwich, both with fries. Food was good and service was attentive at the bar. Chicken breast was too chewy to eat, seemed a little undercooked. Burger was excellent as always.
Michael
Hands down my favorite burger joint, and probably favorite restaurant period. Killer food, killer atmosphere, metal, awesome vibe, great drink selection...I could go on forever. I go out of my way to visit every time I'm remotely near the area. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!
William Selwitschka
Food was excellent. The server was very knowledgeable about gluten-free options. And she was very friendly and answered all questions we had. The music was great and it was an overall great experience.
R Robertson
~*Great service, fun vibe, enjoyed the service at the bar. The drinks were great and the food was good.*~
Alexander Newman
To date, this is the only metal-themed restaurant or bar I've ever been to. Kuma's boasts an unmatched selection of beer and their kitchen puts out some of the best cheeseburgers in Indianapolis. Staff are eclectic, but always personable, helpful, and interesting. If you're visiting for an occasion or just want to have as authentic an experience as possible, make sure to ask your server for a shot of Jeppson's Malört. You will absolutely regret it, but the best part of having friends and family is sharing your burdens!
Seth Williams
Such a chill place with a great beer selection and good classic cocktails. The food....delish. I'm going with the boys more often. Great for Death Metal fans (ie Carcass, Death, Obituary, etc)
Joshie McGlaughlin
Atmosphere was nice. Not cheap. But read their labels for how you want your burger done. Medium seemed to come out like medium rare. Also men’s bathroom only has one stall and it seemed like a junkie was in there cause I tried 3 times and same black boots I saw and one of the three times they were sideways of how it seemed the toilet was facing from my previous time checking. Lol. Also. Ironic for a “metal” themed place the crew in the back of the place were jamming Makaveli. But no disses there. Staff was nice. I liked the place and bathroom deal wasn’t their fault. But just order your burger one level more cooked. Haha
Thomas Earley (TommyGunn1981)
Amazing place to get some great grub! The burgers were awesome and super juicy. Wife got Mac n Cheese that was very creamy and super tasty. We sat at the burger bar and watched the chefs prepare all the meals. It was an awesome experience and great to see how all the staff interacted with each other to pump out these crazy awesome concoctions! Definitely would recommend to all burger, mac n cheese, and beer lovers. Hats off to this great establishment!
Robert Johnson
Amazing burgers. Some of the best I've had anywhere. Staff are also very good and it has a cool metal theme and feel as well. The fried pickles are also a big win here. They also have a solid beer and drink list. There is also a vegan burger option, which I did not try, but thought it was cool.
JustFluffyPanda
Awesome music and really good burgers. Get an Axehandle for Sunday brunch if you can!
Kurt Walburn
Gritty , fun bar with exceptional burger and sandwich choices. Staff was helpful and friendly and draft selection was awesome ... Something for everyone and lots of choices for sampling or small glasses . .. create your own flight !
Jessica Cobb
You might think $7 for a side salad or $9 for a half portion of Mac and cheese is insane until you find out a half portion is bigger than an entree at some other places. Great food, great drinks, cool atmosphere.
Shamus Driver
Don't call it a comeback. The same place is back. Great burgers. Hard rock piped throughout. Great beer menu.
Heidi Melms
Update 5/4/19: I brought my friend and husband back yesterday. Once again amazing experience. Also found an amazing new drink, Pineapple Mead- delicious. Took a few photos, but having issues uploading on Google.
Yesterday was my first experience at Kuma’s and it was delicious! The hamburger options are unique and lots of variety. Any hamburger can be swapped out for chicken, which is great for non beef eaters. My burger was massive and they gave me a truck load of fries too! Some of the very best fries I’ve had in Indy. Perfectly seasons and have a bit of crunch too them.
Sad to say, that heavy metal genre isn’t my thing, but that doesn’t keep one from enjoying this location. It’s playing, but not too loud, so I was easily able to hear and converse at my table. Bathrooms have writing all over wall, which was fun to read, but more importantly, the bathrooms, like the restaurant, are clean.
Sadly, I completely forgot to take any pictures, but I’ll be back!
Gina
Great place to eat. The Mac N Cheese was amazing! Such a big portion, I took it home and made two more meals of it.
Gene Hinders
Top Five....maybe Top Three Burger I've ever had!
The Led Zeppelin Burger is a winner and the mac and cheese was fantastic and that's from a guy who's not a big mac and cheese fan.
Service was excellent and if you like your music loud and a bit on the metal side you'll love it!
Reagen John
One of my favorite places to eat in Indy. I always bring friends here that are from out of town. I love everything Kumas has to offer. Besides the amazing burgers and Mac and cheese, they have great French fries and fried pickles! I always have to grab a XXX root beer while I’m there too. The place itself is awesome because of their grungy metal look. Awesome music, awesome atmosphere, awesome food!
Aaron S
Honestly, best burger I've had. I had the Mastodon. I over ate, but 10/10 would do it again. Great chips too.
Glintea
I had a wonderful experience at Kuma's. The food was fantastic and drinks were wonderful. It was definitely on the more pricey side but I believe it was worth it.
Nan Van
We'd never been to Kuma's Corner in Fountain Square but were invited to join others there -- and wow! The monthly-special burger was possibly the largest sandwich I've ever seen! My own order was for the Kuma burger, which itself would have been enough for two people. We came home with enough leftovers for about three more meals. Tasty options, and lots of food for your money! Would return. Recommended. 😀
Ross Barber
I had the Plague Bringer and subbed buffalo chicken for the burger patty. It was awesome! I've been here numerous times and it never disappoimts. Great music as always!!!!!
Indyfitted317
Mac and cheese is to die for. I never knew it was a heavy metal joint and the eye hat God poster in the bathroom really turned me off. The food was delicious and our table was wobbly. Highly reccomend if you can handle the music. We will sit outside next trip.
Marcus
Fantastic food, service and environment. A mist-go for fans of metal and those looking for the best burger around!
John Choate
GO HERE!!! If you love amazing food and a great beer selection, this place is for you. Not only is the food different from regular burger joint, the music is spectacular. METAL REINS SUPREME AT KUMA'S!!! Every burger is named after a band and the ambiance music fits the atmosphere. KUMA'S has enough room to accommodate medium sized parties. While we were there I witnessed many families with all ages. KUMA'S also has an open kitchen so you can watch the chef and cooks slay your orders. I recommend the Mastadon burger and fries as a great place to start. Patio seating is a must when the weather allows it. My wife and I usually split an appetizer and an entree while ordering at least 2 beers each, our bill typically totals around $45 after tipping. Being located right in the heart of Fountain Square, you could head straight to a show at the HI-FI or just take in the neighborhood.
Patrick McKinley
Food was tasty and the service was good...I'll have to come back another time to try the local brews they have on tap
Ben Parsley
The burgers are very large and not easy to eat. Not a deal breaker, just be aware. They seem to have a wide variety of Mac and Cheese, which I would probably try the next time we go there. Music was loud and wasnt easy to hear conversation if you are sitting with a lot of people at your table.
Megan Rittenhouse
Walking into this place you will hear loud metal music and see a metalheads vibe with the red lighting behind the bar and amazing art on the walls.
They have a long list of beers to try mostly in cans but they do have some on tap.
The food menu is eclectic with the signature burgers. I ordered the Led Zeppelin which included a flame grilled burger with cheddar cheese, bacon, pulled pork and pickles. Ordered it with fried that are hand cut and crispy. Overall the food was delicious and very filling, you might not be able to eat it all.
My boyfriend ordered the famous Kuma, which includes bacon, cheddar, a fried egg, lettuce, tomato and onion. It also looked delicious and every bite of the burger was gone!

Wow went here for burger week they have an amazing burger selection! I got the burger with the Chicago style hot dog on it!! It was huge and delicious. We also tried ciderboys for the first time and now that's our favorite drink. Great place and interesting atmosphere. Music was a bit to loud for our liking. But great food
Megan Anderson
This is my husband's favorite restaurant! Such a cool concept and the burgers are ingenious. I've never had anything short of amazing customer service. The servers are nice, genuinely knowledgeable on the beer selection, and great at following up. We go here anytime we have plans for shows in Fountain Square!
Dagoberto J Rodriguez
First time to Indianapolis and my friend brought me to Kuma’s Corner, awesome place, good music and wall decor. Jalapeño bombers are BOMB and their burgers are really good just not a big fan of their French fries, but still a great place and I would go back. Thanks
Kenny Stwo
Family wanted burgers. The lunch burgers are smaller then dinner one just to let you know. Mac and cheese was good.
A J Richardson
2/7/20:: couldn't get seating too popular for that limited seating space...we left UPLAND has seating
Awesome Food!!! Even better Service...THANKS ELIZABETH (LIZ), HER bartending skills are quick professional and most important: She is KNOWLEDGABLE! This is a MUST TRY. My husband and I had the BBQ pork fries...even though we are not BIG pork eaters; these fries were slappin' (GOOD!) DID I mention the atmosphere.... very Chicago style. You could feel the hustle of the kitchen staff. We will be back to try the Burgers n other menu items😋
Marty McMann
The food was amazing and the service was just as good. They were pretty busy but gave us a text when our table was ready. This was my first time there and glad we went.
Megan Drinkwater
This place was awesome. With all the reviews and great rating it is definitely on point. I got the burger of the month and my bf got the burger with chicken and waffles on top. They were both amazing.
The service was great and the wait was not too long. They have a decent beer selection and great music playing. Loved the feel. It is clean and nice inside.
Mike Stierwalt
This was my first time here. I cant say enough about this place. The staff is very friendly and polite. They have a large craft beer selection and the food is out of this world. Soooo good. This place is certainly worth you stopping in. I guarentee I will be going back and taking friends.
Rashelle Medcalf
Loved my blue cheese bacon burger. Loved the atmosphere great servers. I will b going back. Now this isn't a dollar menu but worth every penny. Go Kuma's! Lbvs
Bonnie Licklider
Great Lunch and our Waitress Libby was so very knowledgable! The food was very VERY GOOD! Definitely going again 😉 They have a really COOL Rock Theme! I had the Skid Row Burger! My friend had the amazing BLT! …
Britt Jones
Hard to find parking. According to the website, the small lot across the street is theirs, but it was full. I'm assuming it's from from neighboring businesses, because it wasn't very busy. Cool atmosphere, even for those who don't listen to Metal music. Anyone with an open mind could easily enjoy it. The food was amazing and staff was nice. I had the Pig Destroyer.
Shawn Burt
I had the Slayer. I can definitely recommend it. A nice spice level without being overwhelming. And the burger wasn't the kind that needed covering up. Had to take most if it home because of the generous serving. The Fruity Fresca paired well with it for my taste.
Andrea G was our server. Pleasant, cool, and as attentive as the crowd size allowed.
James Jenkins
Fantastic restaurant. They have a very different atmosphere here, playing metal music and having various metal memorabilia lining the walls. Great beer and liquor selection. They have a very friendly staff. The burgers here are to die for, they even have a completely vegan burger. I would eat here every day if I lived closer! The picture is of their Vegan burger, called The Heartworm.
Dylan Birdsong
I have never had a bad time here. Great music and great food. Had the Slayer burger last time I was here and was able to take home enough food for another meal later! Well worth the money.
Lauren Britt
Great atmosphere with great food. First time in Indy and my favorite spot so far. I grew up on metal so felt at home :) Slayer was spicy and hit the spot also laaaarge portions. Pierce was our waiter and he was amazing. Definitely recommend.
Jean Paul Cortes
The original Kuma’s corner in Chicago is one of my favorite restaurants ever and this location does it good justice. The burger that I always get is the Plague bringer.
Terrence Ford
The plague bringer burger was absolutely amamzing!! The was huge, HOT but great tasting. The long island was just barely ok. The waitress was great and she was willing to remove the long island. It was a great place to eat. Will definitely be back.
Angela Halbert
Excellent food. Huge portions great service and atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
Anon Ymous
Best burger i have had in a long time for one. You definitely get what u pay for (portioning perfect) employee friendly and professional. Ordered a bloody Mary taste was awesome not to spicy lots of flavor booze was not overwhelming ten out of ten would 100% try again.
Kelsey Gavin
I've been to Chicago area Kuma's frequently and the food here in Indy was just as good! The atmosphere was a bit "lighter" but still a great visit for any foodie or metalhead
Amber Norton
This is a great spot! Amazing burgers, an endless variety of beer on tap, awesome music, laid back atmosphere, and a knowledgeable bartender and wait staff = perfect place to hang out! If you're a fan of pickles you definitely must try the fried pickles here! They're up there as some of the best I've ever eaten!
Delaney Englert
This is probably one of the best burger places I've had in Indianapolis. Unique selection for anybody, and I know there are a few dishes besides just burgers. GREAT beer selection. Vibe is fully band/metal along with the music. Staff is great as well. Got on online wait list which was also quite easy and simple.
Acid McFlyin
I dropped by Kuma's Corner on my one night stop in Indianapolis and had an amazing time. The highlight was the service: the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful.
At some point, a homeless person came in and demanded beers, and the waitress got them some food but was firm on them not disrupting other customers. She was such what a nice person! This, to me, was above and beyond standard good service.
Of course, the mac and cheese was pretty good, too.
Crystal Inskeep
Awesome food and great beer! Our server was a blast! Will definitely go again!
Ken Kolar
Awesome service, excellent beer selection, classic Kuma scene & the Burgers are incredible!!
Craig Rettig
As a lifelong heavy metal fan, this is practically a dream location. Burgers are huge and flavorful. The beer selection was great, too, although we came as the first meal of the day, so I had to stick with a single pint of session IPA for this visit. Although I don't live in the area, I'd be happy to return whenever I find myself up in Indianapolis again.
Nathan Delaporte
Food was great! Building and atmosphere were amazing! The guy serving us was the best!
allen bell
Great Place with a very specific vibe! Like. punk rock vibe? The burgers are 🔥🔥! Jalapeno poppers are SUPER 🔥🔥! …
Brandon Palmer
Food was delicious. Burgers are creative and the portions are really big. Definitely will be back when I come back to town!
Megon Miller
One of the best burger restaurants in town. Huge beer selection cool atmosphere and DELICIOUS burgers! Our waiter Nick was awesome as it was the last few times we were there. I highly recommend.
Dana Mills
Cute place very friendly wait staff. Music was not my taste but is was appropriate for the vibe of the place. I'm just old! Food was fabulous and crazy big portions!
Ashley Bonham
Had such an amazing Dinner Club outing. Service was amazing definitely coming back.
Cassandra Latorre
The best burger in town!! Service was superb and had great music. Loved the decor theme
karina ortiz
The greates place to eat ever I have no complaints about anything the food was great service awesome everything super clean. I loved it. I got the Yob burger every bite was delicious 🤩 …
Regina Smith
Very friendly staff, burger selection is fun and exciting. Burgers are huge...edgy heavy metal atmosphere but super inviting and inclusive
Tiffany Castilleja
This place is amazing! They have so many good options to choose from on their menu & even have vegan options as well. The Kuma burger was perfect & the fries were really good too. They have a really good selection of cider on tap & canned.
BEARDED BATMAN
Very tasty Burgers and Mac N Cheese! Great place to drink beer and eat awesome food. Not a place to go on a date. Not a family friendly restaurant. Prices are a bit high.
Kaden Fitzgerald
Super unique restaurant! They go for the gothic emo theme and it is a lot of fun! The food is fantastic and so is the service. Great burgers. This restaurant went all out and I love it!
Bobby Shreve
Food was Great! It was a little expensive but the burgers are excellent. The music definitely wasn't my taste, but it was a nice vibe. All in all I give it a pretty good experience
Jaime Brooksher
Atmosphere was great, food was amazing. I had the Led Zeppelin burger with a side of Mac & cheese w/ chicken & broccoli.
Jenny Cozad
Wow...is an understatement at this awesome burger place in Fountain Square. Ive only ever heard great things about this place and it lived up to it's reputation. This rocker bar had enormous, delicious burgers at a reasonable price. Pictured is the burger of the month that my husband had which was served with goat cheese and a tempura fried uncrustable. It was awesome!! A bonus- served on a pretzel bun. They had a great beer menu but I opted for a bloody Mary made with their house mix. A must try for anyone in Indy or visiting.
Rachel Miller
So good. Great atmosphere and delicious food. Be prepared to take some home. Portions are huge, I normally get 2 or 3 meals out of their Mac and cheese.
Anthony Trisdale
The absolute best spot to eat, drink, relax. Literally no other spot can compete with this establishment. Front of the house manager is so cool and sweet the head executive chef Chris is the the bomb. He always makes sure our food is right and we’re taken care of. I’ll keep supporting this business and sharing it. -Mittens 🐱 …
Sammii Dorfler
Great burger! Cool atmosphere. Awesome wait staff. I had the burger of the month which was basically a Thanksgiving burger. My main complaint was it was very salty not unbearable though. You could get fries or chips as a side or for a little more a side salad or Mac and cheese (which looked amazing and you can pick 2 mix ins for it). As a newbie to Indy, Kuma's has the best Buffalo chicken tenders. Jalapeno poppers we're nice too and the raspberry sauce it comes with... Oh man was that good! I'd totally return.
Lindy Crimmins
rapid service (party of 9 in and out in 75 minutes) by an obviously very experienced waitress was very impressive
Mac n cheese for kids, EXTENSIVE cider & beer options, Prince song themed cocktail menu, creative burgers.
Music was a bit loud for conversation, but fits the atmosphere.
Laura VanArendonk Baugh
This is a great place to go to have an argument. Sit between the red-painted walls, drink whiskey seasoned with chipotle powder, and proceed to deliberately misunderstand each other under the excuse of the pounding music. Even the menu is angry (see photos).
But there's nothing unhappy about Kuma's itself, aside from the thematically-necessary-but-too-loud music. The menu is creative and varied (your burger can be beef, chicken, chicken fingers, even vegan) with truly original offerings. It ain't health food, but it's good enough that you don't care. Service is friendly (perhaps anticipating a settlement involving OSHA and hearing loss) and in metal band shirts.
I'll be back, but with earplugs.
Derek Graves
Yes that’s the burger of the month MZMR…. Just great.
Keith Knipp
The wife and i took a little road trip took us about 2 hours to get here and honestly best decision we ever made well worth the trip food is great and the mac and cheese let me tell you i dont care for it but i think they turned me back on to it the staff is vary polite and out going really enjoyed the visit we will most definitely be coming back
Shawn Stewart
It's a heavy metal themed bar/restaurant! Kinda the perfect place to warm up for a show at the Hi-Fi. I had a ceasar salad and my friend had the Led Zeppelin chicken sandwich. We both loved the food. We also enjoyed a few of the Holy Fountain pilsner.
Rhiannon Hatfield
Food was very good. We always try something new. Waited awhile for service and food due to kitchen help not being to work on time. The biggest thing observed was the lack of awareness of the service staff not washing thier hands after touching thier faces, hair and clothing (shoes). This is an open concept restaurant and EVERYTHING is visible. Don't be gross...wash your hands you dirty animals!
Janelle Hawkins
Burgers were great, fries were excellent, service was stellar. Unusual for the service to outshine the food anywhere these days. I'd go back.
Robynn Alexander
Amazing beer/mead/soda selection and fantastic food! Dog friendly patio and great service! Andrea G is a wonderful server. We'll be back soon!
Dakota Clark
Wow, this place is the best restuarant in Indiana. The service is always great, the atmosphere wonderful, the aesthetic is fun, the drinks are stupendous, but most importantly the food is to die for. Every menu item is so carefully crafted with fresh ingredients. The quality is far beyond what you are paying for. My family and I used to go here a lot when I lived in Indiana. But now it's a much anticipated part of every trip back home.
LONG LIVE METAL, LONG LIVE KUMA'S
Melinda Benbow
Delicious! The house salad is so simple yet absolutely amazing! I think it's the dressing that they use that makes it so wonderful. Our server was so kind and we love the dog-friendly patio!
Jeffrey LeFors
First time I went to Kuma's Corner I admittedly had a little bit to drink. The food and the place overall was fantastic.
The second time I went I took my wife and baby on a weekday afternoon. The food and the atmosphere were just a good...if not better. They had a lunch portion size of their burgers which was much appreciated. Our server was on point and the beer selections were varied.
The best part was being able to bring our kid. In Indiana so many places are unable to allow children and as a new parent that can be quite disheartening.
This place is now on my social speed dial when asked where to go for a good meal/experience.
J Y
Heavy metal and burgers go so well together! This place is banging! :)
SavingApanda
Fantastic burger. Big burger, great flavor and delicious fries. Only sad I didn't have enough rpom to try the build your own mac and cheese.
J C
Man the food was fantastic!!!! If you are in the Fountain Square area that's where you want to be. Definitely worth every penny.
Daisy
This place has the best mac and cheese I've ever eaten! The burgers are phenomenal 👌 Go to place when I'm craving a burger …
Khrystyne Gibson-Turner
Great food, great service, great music!
Quinn Milton
To Whomst it may concern,
This Malort is a crime against humans everywhere. How dare anyone bottle this & pass it off as consumable to human kind. You should be ashamed of yourselves. It is hot hot garbage & should be recalled for containing hazardous waste. Y'all are a crazy bunch of motherf*ckers if you think this is in any way a drinkable liquid. Rot in absolute hell forever for selling this to make a profit. Shame on you & yo whole family
Chris Fellure
Are you kitten me right meow?!? Go to here and drink beer and eat food. Now I'll let the pictures do the talking. Also, tip well and buy the kitchen a round of old style, because they like it that way.
Lindsey VanWhy
Food is amazing, atmosphere is on point, the staff is always wonderful and it just doesn't get much better than that.
Graham Russell
Our waiter, Nick, helped make it a fun experience while we had some excellent burgers. Fun environment.
Mark Ketron
Finally made the trek from Dayton. After having been to the Chicago location I knew what I was in for. I am beyond excited that my favorite joint is now only 100 miles from home!
The atmosphere is perfection and the staff is amazing! The food is the only thing better than the service! Too notch place for damn good burgers. The Mac n cheese ain't no joke either.
Dayton, Ohio needs you! Until then, I'll be seeing you...
Olivia
Food is great, atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is super nice but we hardly ever saw our server and waited 20 mins after getting our to-go boxes to get our check
Nicole Campbell
Wonderful place for beer and a burger. Has vegan options. Great music. Friendly staff. Just go, you won't be disappointed.
Kylie Williams
Best alt bar in Indy. Food is always perfect and servers are charismatic and efficient. If I could rate higher then I would!
Jen Murray
Good music, friendly staff and delicious food. What more can you ask for? You can also swap out beef from any burger with a vegan patty. Recommend doing so with the Goatsnake. Yum.
Slide Society
Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Good place for a unique experience for a normie. Great drink list.
Mrs. Dotson
Bomb Service, even more Bomb AF food 😋😋😋😋😋 A must get is their jalapeno poppers 🤤 Where in the world do the get peppers SOOO big 😱 You also gotta try their fried pickles (best I've ever had) and macaroni and cheese 😋😋😋😋😋 …
dewayne blazek
Always love this place! Food is always amazing and a great selection of beer.
David W
This place is great. Atmosphere is different but entertaining. The food is really good too.
Paladin Andrew
Want the best burgers in Indy, this is the place. Metal music inspired. Good brews, fried pickles, mac n cheese are a must have. Kumas Corner, guaranteed good experience. Close to the Hi-Fi. Get your food on, have a brew, go see a show. Cant go wrong.
Jason Congdon
Was in town for a conference and found this great little place. Food and staff were great. Highly recommended
Beau Krueger
Liz was a fantastic help! Great recs on food and other places to visit while on my short work trip to Indy. Very helpful and friendly. Had the burger with pulled pork, pickles, and cheddar cheese- delicious. Awesome heavy metal vibe w/ no judgement, recommend for sure.
Camille Graves
The burger I had (the blue cheese and bacon one) was delicious, but the fries were not great. I also tried my friend's buffalo chicken tenders, and they were on point. However, I personally did not enjoy the ambiance and wanted to leave from the moment we got there. I would not have chosen this place to eat if someone else hadn't picked it. Red walls and really loud hard-core music that all the patrons have to scream over. Hello, sensory overload! But if that's your thing or if you order it for takeout, the food is more than decent. Also, they have an outdoor patio, but it was too cold to eat there. I'm sure it makes for a more pleasant experience in better weather.
Bryce Spellious
Great atmosphere, loved every part of it. Burger was cooked to perfection and fries remind me of five guys but with less oil. Jalapeno poppers had a bit to much breading but the insides were creaming without too much spice. Definitely recommend
S G
Great little bar. Nice local beer menu on tap and tons of bottles/cans to choose from. Service at the bar was fantastic.
Joe Brown
Fantastic as always. My favorite restaurant hands down in Indianapolis, wish they could put one in Cincinnati. Burgers always on point 🤘🏻
Michael Benjamin Young
My only regret is not having come here before. One of the 5 best burgers I've ever had in my life.
Marcus Bishop
This is a MUST for anyone who enjoys a delicious burger. I truly cannot find the words to describe the medley of flavors that will hit your taste buds.... Most so called "Burger Spots" use preformed patties.....The chef's (cooks prepare meals, chef's create masterpieces) deserve thier own guitar solo. I considered my self a burger connoisseur, and this is one of the last of its kind.
If the burgers don't do it for you the atmosphere will. They are a metal burger bar and it took me down memory lane with the memorabilia and decorations. The staff was awesome, so many folks made sure we were takin care of. So come on down get stuffed, smashed, then head bang the night away to some great metal.
Michael DeLand
Had the special, a mango curry burger. It was different, but absolutely delicious. This place is awesome and a highly recommend from me.
40 Kal
I felt this location was loud and cramped. However, the food and service made up for it. We received attentive service from our server, who stayed on top of everything. I ordered the Kuma burger and it did not disappoint. I would certainly return to this restaurant.
Pamela Schramke
The food was fresh and delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. Even their homemade ketchup was delicious and I tend to truly dislike homemade ketchups at restaurants. The burgers are enormous. They are so full of flavor and cooked to everyone's request. The atmosphere was really fun as well. The music was a bit overwhelming in volume since we had to yell to each other at our own table throughout dinner but I think that's the vibe they are trying to have in the restaurant. My only criticism is the volume of the music... Pretty small complaint IMO.
Jonathan Couch
Heavy metal burger bar. The greatest burger place in Indy
Zachary Hall
The best burgers I’ve ever had in my life
Eddy “DeadSoul46” Wilson
Best burger I've ever had. Great portions for a great price. I love the atmosphere.
Mark Reynolds
Great music and awesome burgers made this a must visit place while visiting Indy. I've been to the location in Chicago and this place is bigger but similar great food and staff. Mac and cheese is a must even if you order a burger.
Paul Sanders
The burgers here are top notch. Bring your appetite as they are not skimpy on the portions whatsoever.
Lori Arend
Best macaroni and cheese in town, hands down. I've tried cheap places, pricey places, chains, local greasy spoons, down home places, upscale places, and everything in between. Kuma's mac and cheese remains the standard by which all others are judged.
Macie Miller
Love the vibe & the one-page menu, but the fried pickles are NOT the way. Also feel like my Iron Maiden burger was missing an element, but I have no doubt that I will return to try this place again! Fries on point
Amanda Wright
The food is delicious and they give you big portions. Parking is hard to come by. They have their own parking lot across the street around a building that has their name on it, but that's not then. Kind of confusing. The music is really loud, but it's good.
Brianna Todd
Amazing burgers. We had quite the wait on a Saturday evening (7pm) but the burgers are amazing and the mac n cheese is delicious!!
taylor stutesman
Went to try the burger of the month and was not disappointed. Always massive sandwiches and friendly service when we get to go to kumas :)
Jana Cheek
Just want to say, AWESOME!!!! I had 16 guest, half were kids and the staff did everything to make the experience the best. Food as on point as always, the service was beyond, we has 8 kids in our group and the staff were awesome to their needs. Thank you so much for making my birthday what I needed.💋 …
Michael Dashner
This place is great! It's a go-to stop every time I visit Indy. The beer selection is fantastic, and the food is something else. I've tried something new, both food and beer wise, and it hasn't disappointed me yet. The staff and service on top of it all is a big reason I keep going back. It's been nothing but great service every visit.
Noah Ginn
Highly recommend. It's on the more expensive side but typically worth it! Great burgers and generous portions of mac and cheese 😙🤌
Good vibes and atmosphere. Will always come back when I have the chance. …
Indian Jim Mrmc
Got the plague burger. It was quite large and spicy. Had the hop hug ipa. Nice.
Brandon Fleckenstein
This place rocks. Has the best cheeseburgers I think it may have the best burgers around. The waiters were nice/helpful. Food was heavy and very delicious w wicked flavor. I think the restaurant should have a better name. Other than that.... It's a must go place to eat for sure!!!
J Michael
If you never tried duck bowling, you need too. This is a blast from the past and this is really like stepping into a time capsule. Duck pin bowling is a lot harder than regular bowling so don’t get discouraged! The game is fun and they have a nice bar.
Nick Cockerham
Awesome place, great music and atmosphere. Staff was very attentive and pleasant. Food was amazing.
Samantha Kerr
I'm from out of town and I recommend this to literally everyone, we got the Dreamwarrior burger and let me tell you. Price wise for the size worth it. You have to wait a bit but it's ok because you'll need to work up an appetite.
Cody Davison
Kuma's corner has some of the best burgers in Indy. I frequently get the Plague Bringer, so I was happy to see it on their lunch menu! Give it a try if you like burgers and rock music!!
Austin Bousquet
Love this place. I live in Montana, and the last two times I've visited Indy, I've come here to eat. I also love Mastodon, and it always come over the playlist while I'm here. Love it!
Kevin Spangler
My kid treated me to this place. Very cool place with a killer vibe. Ordered the Slayer . It was so damn good. Great service
Alex Watt
Great atmosphere for metalheads and non-metalheads alike. Massive (and most importantly, delicious) burgers and varied beer selection. Kid friendly. Outdoor seating. 10/10 would recommend for burger fans and/or heavy metal fans.
Franky
Sweet metal themed restaurant. Little pricey but the food is delicious. Good beer selection but their draft list could be more diverse. Not everyone likes IPAs.
Chris
Like heavy metal music? Like sinful burgers? Then why are you reading this review? Reading can wait. Go chow down on one of their many signature creations that will make you go in to hibernation once you're done. But before you do, make sure to grab a pint from their selection of taps so you sleep happy.
Heavy metal music not your thing? The outside patio with umbrella covered tables is much more quiet so you can still partake in gluttony.
Terry Shepard
Be ready to rock out. Their burgers are super glutinous in a good way.
Mahsa Servati
I loved lovved this place! They have the best fried pickles in the world!!! Hands down!
I ordered the goatsnake burger and it was delicious!
All the sides are in great portions! My friends ordered the bbq pork fried and they couldn’t stop saying how good the pork is:)
Allison Scott-Eagan
All food is named after rock bands!! Totally awesome. The vegan burger is so super filling, and my pals enjoyed the meats. Loool Also the cheese curds....order them now, stat, run.....
Tony Ricchiuto
If you love beer, heavy metal, or food, come here. If you love all three, you may never leave.
Summer Hudson
Kuma's is hands down the best burger joint in Indy. Dont let the metal music scare you. The staff is amazing and the food is divine! Come with an appetite. Their servings are colossal!
Lee Rudisill
Love this place. Good burgers, good atmosphere, and good music.
That said, if you're looking for a quiet place to relax, look elsewhere. It's loud, but it's a part of the design and wouldn't feel right if it weren't. Probably not someplace [my] granny is gonna enjoy.
Jen Helm
Best burgers!! Had to go in twice in November to get the Sleep burger. The Goatsnake is my favorite regular menu item. The mac and cheese is great, but try to finish it cos it doesn't reheat well
Allie Weimer
What I consider to be one of the best burgers in Indy! They are so good, not to mention huge. I could only eat half of mine, they also have great fries!
Matthias Olk
What a great place with fantastic heavy metal music..The vegan Burger is not bad either!
Zackary Pryor
Awesome music awesome food great service I definitely suggest the kaijo Burger with an egg 10/10 would eat here again
Christopher Collins
The slayer is all you need to come here for. Best 'burger' I've ever had. This place has some great music and great names for their food and drinks.
Alexandria ODaniel
I got the Goatsnake vegan patty and it was truly amazing! Everything from the vegan patty to the ketchup is made in house 🤤 …
Richie Gillum
Great atmosphere great food.. plates named after bands. staff was very nice very helpful. \m/ would return.
Haley Mullins
What a great idea for a restaurant. Feels like home here. Gorgeous bearded men and lovely tattooed ladies all around help me come back ♡ lolol.
Lissa Scherer
Burgers are interesting. Good but overpriced. Atmosphere doesn’t quite hit the mark. Trying to be cool but not quite there. Waitress with the pink hair and glasses gave THE worst service. Definitely won’t be back.
Tim Galligar
This place is a real gem. The vibe is dark, spooky, and inclusive. The staff is attentive and seem like they enjoy where they work, which always makes for great service. The food is unreal. I have yet to eat something I didn’t like. There is no better mac and cheese than here.
Matthew Horn
Food is always top notch. You'll feel like you'll have a heart attack from it, but it's all worth it. Atmosphere is amazing if you love metal music. A little pricey, but you get more than you pay for both in quantity and quality. Well worth it
Larry Langley
We were a large party and were still seated in a very reasonable amount of time during the lunch rush. Never an easy task. Kudos to the host stand and floor manager. Loved the food. Our server was great. Awesome atmosphere. Would have given 5 stars but we had to endure a couple bad attitudes from other servers that clearly didn't want to help run food. Don't let that discourage you though. For the most part this is a very well-run operation. Definitely stop in and check it out.
Tara Hughes
Had a black widow hard cider, was absolutely the best and the burger was spot on.
Ana Garcia
My all time favorite place to go to. Never disappoints. If you enjoy American food, I definitely recommend checking it out. It has a lot of different variety of options and comes in good size portions. Customer service is always great.
Alysa Epperson
Awesome restaurant! The food is cooked fresh the moment you order it, and it has a great atmosphere! Definitely will be back again! (P.S. if you want a challenge of a burger get the goatsnake burger!)
Paula Hill
The BEST burgers around accompanied by the best fries. Make sure you are hungry because the portions are large! Diverse 2 page menu of brews to finish out your dining experience... Enjoy!! Highly recommend 👌🏼
Philip Brandyberry
Huge burgers, excellent and unique burgers of the month, great beers, and heavy metal playing. What's not to love?! Service is always prompt even if the burgers take a bit to xook, but that's how you know they're excellent. This is a can't miss spot.
shabu shabu
Awesome food. Even better beers on tap. Great music if you're in to rock/metal. Great service.
Jennifer Ever
Very cool heavy metal themed place. Great atmosphere. Food is exceptional.
Andrew
Awesome spot with incredible food. The beer range is fantastic and the music takes me back to high school with the setlist choice. Amazing experience overall but come hungry the meals are huge.
Amy Courtney
Kuma's is one of my favorites! There is a really good menu, vegan options, and a great beer (and N/A) selection!! The staff is awesome, and the atmosphere is fun and casual. Highly recommend.
Travis Coats
Very cool place and food was really, really good.
La Gina Passwaiter
Service was great ! Food arrived quickly and were huge portions ! Dog friendly and serves alcohol also !
R Bond
Awesome burgers here, definitely some of the best burgers I've had in Indy. Goes fantastically with beer too (I had a nitro stout to go with the Slayer 🎸). Definitely would recommend for anyone who likes good burgers and rock & roll. …
Alexis Trisdale
i've been here twice, and the service is always exceptional. the food fills you up fast, and the portions are large. the burgers and macaroni are probably the best out of anywhere else i've been :)
Jake Colee
Easily my favorite burger place around Indy. I love the atmosphere and the staff seem to really enjoy their jobs and are conversational. The food is phenomenal with heaping portions and tasty combinations with metal af names. I try to take my out of town buds to this establishment. If the music's too loud, you're too old.
Yuri Cat
Best burger place in the city. Their burgers might be a bit on the pricey side, but that's due to the amount of food you get and also probably supply chain problems from covid. Overall an amazing place with great waiters, staff, food, beers, and atmosphere. A must stop for the lover of metal music that wants a great burger. And their mac and cheese is to die for!
Kandipop
Laid back Metal themed burger joint and bar. Friendly staff great food. They are awesome people and they hold their customers to the same standard. Always a treat won't stop visiting!
Tabitha Guthrie (Tabi)
Food was delicious and place was clean. Loved the Mac and cheese with buffalo fried chicken! Portions are huge!
Grace Clay
Delicious! Goatsnake burger with a veggie patty, side of mac with sweet corn and portabellas. Will definitely be back to try more. 😍 …

Amazing place to eat. Delicious entrees made by the cooks, and a great selection of beer as well. Fried pickles are the app to go with!
Kris Price
Holy cow it was so delicious! Server was patient with us, the local beer selection was great, and the burgers were juicy! Definitely recommend the house chips!
Sarah Sera
The entire atmosphere and wonderful food along with the music playing. I loved it so much that I would have applied for a job if I lived in the area!
Jeff P
Great place! Comfortable atmosphere, amazing burgers, great beer and signature drinks selection, good music and the staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely on our favorite list.
Malcolm Smith
Overall quality experience. Good servers with positive attitudes and bouncy helpfulness. However, this Kuma's does not have the vibe or decor or hardcore atmosphere of its Chicago original and the burgers were impressive but not as noteworthy as the original either.
Wendy Linville
My family loves Kuma's. My usual is the Neurosis but the BOTM is fun when I'm feeling adventurous. Have always had good service.
Billy Munger
Awesome spot, great food! I can't believe I passed this place 100 times and never noticed it.
Adam D
I've been to Kuma's in Indy 4 or 5 times, and it's always a 5 star visit. Atmosphere, food, and service are always great. The Plague Bringer, High on Fire, and Neurosis burgers are excellent. The fries are very good, as are the jalapeño poppers. The decor in the restaurant (and restroom) are killer. I recommend Kuma's to friends whenever I can.
R T
This place is amazing. The music is worth it alone. Gluten free options are available. The fries are gluten free and made in a separate fryer. Great food and actually kid friendly. This is on the red line and parking is accessible in a separate parking lot. Excellent, overall.
Ryan Simpson
Fantastic grilled chicken sandwiches and burgers. Fries are also good. Good selection of beer as well
Brandon Knapp
I love you guys .... But you have some of the dirtiest beer glasses in Indianapolis. Y'all need from look into getting this solved , because it not cool.
Molly Toews
Fantastic burger. Short staffed sadly so the table had to wait for drinks but the server and food was great.
Brimstone Pyro
Good burgers and nice beer selection. Our waitress was good and very outgoing. The fries were a little meh. Like tiny bits for the most part. Not my thing personally. The burger had great flavor, and if the Illinois version of Kuma's is the same the Mac and cheese is great too (not sure haven't had the M&C here). I was a little disappointed that their weren't preset mouth watering suggestions for the M&C. If I remember correctly the IL Kuma's did.
C Wright
The interior of the restaurant is great. Love the decor and the vibe. All the food we had was great. Be advised the lunch menu is limited. I would recommend.
DaWuan Finley
Awesome, food was great and service was good. The wait to get my food was a little long but not to bad.
Stacie Reed
Excellent service. Phenomenal food. Loved the atmosphere. Had to buy the kitchen a round of beer, they deserved it.
Jim Erickson
Great staff, great beer selection, awesome Burger
Wendy Duncan
This was a nice little place. Food was great! I had the pulled pork and it was huge!
Katie Epps
I have never not had a good time here. Huge tasty burgers, great fries, service is always killer. I love the atmosphere too. There's cool art and good music. Also nice selection of craft beer and ciders. It gets a little pricey, especially if you order multiple drinks and an app, but it's delicious.
Shawn Judge
Awesome !! If you love metal . You will love this place . My burger was cooked perfectly med rare . Its not very often that you can go out and get a burger and the cooks actually cook it to temp correctly . Shout out to the awesome cooks !! You guys killed it ! Buy those guys a round of beers !! I definitely will come back
Derek “Fatty_be_flexin” Kohr
Ok hands down the best place i have ever been went with the love of my life was the best experience ever all metal themed burgers an draft beer
Gballin 03
Great place to take a date and drink some awesome cocktails. My girl loved it so we will definetly be back! A little pricey but the atmosphere and vibe plus the food is worth it!
Adam Gaha
People rave about this place, but I was less than impressed. The best I can figure is the ginormous portions overwhelm people's common sense that the food is sub-par. If you like heavy metal names for menu items and don't care what it tastes like, you"ll pee yourself silly.
Michelle Bravo
The food is so good! We stumbled upon this place. Even though I literally burnt my hand on jalapeño popper filing… it was worth it 😂 so delicious. Drinks were also yummy. Server was great (Tony I believe or Anthony)
Kirstie Pieper
Huge burgers but flavorful and juicy. Not greasy whatsoever. The environment was very chill and laid back. Can't wait to go back to try more.
B A
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! This place was insanely great!! The Plague Bringer burger was incredible, my son's Mastadon burger was perfect, and my fiancé's YOB burger was killer! The poppers were bangin' and they nailed them.
The service was quick, awesome, and great!
Top notch all around! Will return when we come back to Indy.
Owners take note.... Need one in Milwaukee!
Steve Hardy
Absolutely perfect, got to jam out and grub out, perfect food lots of variety, great atmosphere.
Danni Burch
I got the BotM and my wife gotntje Sourvein and both were amazing as usual
We also always start with the mac and cheese as an appetizer, our leftovers are 3-4 meals worth, you definitely get value to price at Kuma's.
T Gam
I identify as a 100% raw vegan, the options are endless for me, I typically get the goatsnake which has a beef patty and goat cheese, my two favorite plants. Sometimes I opt for the Led Zepplin which contains pulled pork on top of the burger, which again, one of the best meat substitutes is pork, so more options for me, yay. The country music is a bit much at times, but you tend to get used to it.
Hammity Ham
Food is always delicious, fresh and fairly fast. Burger of the month was AMAZING, according toy boyfriend. My Mac & cheese portion was so large, I couldn't finish it. Server was friendly and kept the drinks full. So glad Kuma's is back open.
Sonja D
Don't sleep on this place. Go try it now! On Sunday's you can ask for their axleburger. It's their biscuits and gravy with fries and a hamburger patty. I recommend adding cheee, bacon, egg, and jalapeno. I LOVED the hatebeak (buffalo chicken tender sandwich)
Fries are just okay. Not the best I've ever had but delicious enough.
Gina Shinn
Always enjoy Kuma's! The burgers are really great and offer a lot of variety.
David Darrow
Very cool joint, staff is nice. Food is great fresh produce.
Josh Hamilton
Great food and atmosphere
Dave
Good food but definitely not cheap. Burgers are about $17 which is on the high end in my book. Music was loud but if you're a meatal head, you'll enjoy it!
Sara Friede
The presentation was perfect, seasoned exactly right. Large portions, strong drinks, cheap prices, friendly staff. Tons of workers there (all of them quite stylish and polite). Clean bathroom. Parking. Fast service and wait. Fresh. Wide variety of menu choices including ability to get a vegetarian patty with any order. Fried were better than penn station. Absolutely a star.
Jonathan Hay
Food is fantastic. The mac and cheese is to die for and the burgers are great. The atmosphere isn't for everyone but the food certainly is. Will definitely return and would recommend it to anyone who likes good food and rock music.
Brian Brown
Huge portion sizes good food and some heavy metal to go with it
Kristy White
Always a great experience! Friendly and wonderful staff!
Sarah Buck
We dined here with our children and even though they didn't have a kids menu we enjoyed our meal. Smallest burger is 10oz! The Mac-NCheese was DELICIOUS!
Justin
Every trip here is fantastic. Food is always more than enough and tasty.
Dan Strunk
Incredible burgers. Restaurant has a heavy metal theme and appropriate music, played loud enough to affect conversation. I don't find it disruptive at all, but I've gone with some people who didn't like it -- probably because they didn't know to expect it. Also: Incredible burgers.
Joe Fall
Good food. And the bartender made a really good old fashion.
Nate Diller
I hope you like rock music. Kuma's has a upbeat vibe, kinda loud. The food is bar food with their personal touch. The Mac and cheese send to be a specialty. It's good but kinda pricy. Burgers are huge. They have a large selection of beer with a decent sized tap. It was pretty busy when I went but don't let that sway you, there are a lot of shops in the area to check out while you wait for a table.
John Watkinson
Service was amazing. Food was spectacular!!
James Robinson
Excellent food and the beer selection is great as well!
Jamie Eads
Great place, good vibes and artwork is different (in a good way). Food is very good! I would recommend it to maybe a younger age group (18-40ish). If you don't like loud music, may not be your spot, but it is fun!
Mary Edinger Shive
Great service, server made great suggestions for burgers and beers and was appropriately attentive.
Burgers were well made and perfectly cooked. Toppings on the burgers were high quality ingredients. Draft beer selection was large enough to suit everyone without having too many beers, so that you were concerned that freshness. Will absolutely visit again.
Rebecca Bolick
Seriously amazing freaking food!!!! A really great atmosphere and the staff is so friendly and do a great job making you feel welcome and explaining the menu to first timers. They handled our large group with no problem at all! We did call ahead though and I recommend that if you have more than 8 people, just to give them some warning. Its also a great value for your money. These burgers were so big that I could barely get my mouth around it! The jalapeno poppers and pickle chips were spicy and delicious. I seriously cannot wait to go back!
Joshua Rotella
I don't know whether to call Kuma's a chain or a franchise at this point. It's good, though. An upscale burger restaurant, with meals named for and styled after various heavy metal music groups. There are different Burgers of the Month, sometimes revisiting previous BOTMs. You have a choice of protein: beef, chicken, black bean, etc. They make excellent macaroni and cheese, to order, with additional fixings, to satisfy your particular cravings. The fries are prepared in a manner that is satisfactory to me, but not my personal fave. They make an excellent garlic aioli sauce, which I request every time I dine there. I wish I could afford to go there more often, but I appreciate regarding Kuma's as a treat.
Elizabeth Thornburgh
Fabulous staff and great food! Options for vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters. A decent rotating beer selection and list of available bottles/cans, house cocktails, and a full bar give you plenty of options. The house salad dressing is so good. The burgers can be modified with beef/chicken/vegan options. Order the fried pickles. Order the mac and cheese. Once you experience Kuma's, you WILL return.
Maddie San Jose
I got the Caesar salad because I actually LIKE salad but none of the people i was with let me heard the end of it. It was a great salad. Their burgers all look good too. also absolutely the best mac n cheese ive had anywhere. so if you want to go and get a salad, don't let anyone bother u because its good. Also get a side of mac.
Jessica Crandall
Absolutely Delicious food, great heavy metal/rock music (loud, but you can sit on the patio), and lovely location. It's just a fantastic time everything. We are quickly becoming regulars where the owners recognize us and our orders. The food is fantastic. That Mac and cheese is to die for... We recommend it to everyone visiting Indy!
Richard Schillen
How one can eat one of their burgers with all their significant and various assorted fixings with that pile of incredible French fries amidst all that noisy music is beyond me, but I do it once a month, happily! I hear the music is less loud during the week! My cohort in sin loves it so we go often.
Cherie Darkblue
Amazing food!! Great selection of beers too!!
Erick Swanson
Very interesting place. Came highly recommended for their burgers, which was spot on for flavor. The Plague Bringer, had great flavor, but a little overcooked to medium rather than medium rare.
The Jalopeno poppers were meh. Great crispy texture but lacked flavor especially since the stuffing looked spicy. They were also a bit cool Not sure if it was busier than usual, but food came out slow.
Michelle Braswell
This is the BEST place! Fantastic service from our awesome sever Aaron. Literally the BEST hamburger in all the land! Thank you Aaron for your exceptional service...and for the shots!
We will DEFINITELY be coming back.
#kumarocks
Corey S
Good burger and fries, great service.
Laura Danielson
Great service, delicious (and huge) burgers. The patio is a nice option when the weather is warm.
Wendy H Layton
The best burger I've ever had! Our server was outstanding; friendly and outgoing.
Jason
Huge burgers with great drinks and service!
Lucky Richardson
An amazing burger place that has a unique vibe and taste. Their portions are generous enough that you feel completely full but not overly so, and they have tasty beverages from fountain drinks to local beer.
Located in Fountain Square, this makes it a fun sot to go for an afternoon lunch or late night burger. The only thing I would say you need to know is they do play metal music and it is metal themed, but do not let that stop you from tasting this places amazing food! The staff are all super friendly and always willing to check in and make sure you are doing well.
The Bike Hive
One of our favorite places to eat! Great food, great service!
Jay Inman
Amazing, gigantic burgers, probably the best I've ever had! So many phenomenal topping combinations to try out; don't be afraid to experiment, they all taste fantastic.
The staff was wonderful and friendly, and they did a great job of keeping the dining experience safe for everyone. Highly recommended!
Karen Call
Amazing burger!! Tender , juicy, full of flavor, best Burger around Indy!!
Jessica avila
Amazing food . Great staff everyone is Amazing Kat, Joe,Mary, Shawna, Perrion. It is just an awesome group of people and there food is awesome can't wait till next time I'm able to
Jonathan Brown
Great food and cool atmosphere. We went here before a concert and it was a perfect fit. This place is unique in its references to heavy metal bands, which creates a cool feel and experience, but that would not be important if the food didn't hold up its end of the deal. The food definitely stands on its own. My friend and I both loved our food the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Parking can be a pain as this appears to be a popular area for dining and drinking.
Seth Parker
Really cool. It's like death metal themed and the music playing inside was great. Our waitress was cool as heck, and the burger menu was so elaborate. All the burgers are named after bands; I had the sourvein, and my buddy had the plague bringer. The portions are huge, so maybe skip breakfast. Beer selection is respectable, with several local brews available. Good job to whoever had the concept for this place
Greg Andrews
You won't leave here hungry that's for sure! For those that don't know they have a burger of the month every month. Usually it's a totally new creation. Like the recent one I had with fruity pebble crusted chicken on top! Sounds weird but it worked very well with the juicy burger underneath.
Alisha Turner
Food was pretty good! Burgers were cooked to perfection. The deep fried pickles were just MUAH❣️over the top amazing! Our waiter was great and the staff very friendly. Wish it wouldn't have been so chilly inside tho. Other than that, perfect! The atmosphere took me back to the 80s/90s with the heavy metal music. Loved it!!!
Bill Pinegar
Sandwich's are named after metal bands from the past. A step back in time & alot of old memories. Food selections are fantastic, you must like loud music!!!..
James Fender
Fun place to eat! Great atmosphere (as long as you like Metal Music) burgers are creative and delicious.
Jessica Schrameyer
Wonderful food! The fried pickles are amazing, but looking back had I known how big the burgers were I may have passed on the fried pickles. No regrets though because it was all amazing. I had the iron maiden burger and my husband had the plague beinger burger recommend by our server. Come with a stomach ready to eat some amazing food and drink some yummy beer. The heavy metal theme is such a cool, unique, and fun dining experience.
Mitchell Greer
This place was absolutely amazing! There burgers are phenomenal and the place has a great vibe!
Nathanael Snyder (Nathan)
Always amazing food and service at Kuma’s corner!! When meeting up with friends we have a decently large party and they are always so accommodating.
Sam Luckett
Had the Led Zeppelin burger and tried a couple different beers I'd never had before. Wonderful staff/service. Amazing good. Great atmosphere.
Aaron Reed
Burgers are one of a kind. Your not going too find these combos anywhere else. And they are all tasty. I've had most of them and yet to find one I don't like. Fries are normally hard (not crunchy) so be warned. Jalapeno poppers are a great appetizers. Great beer selection with lots of smaller known brands.
Chris Smith
GIGANTIC, flavorful burgers. Amazing toppings. Great fries and unique ketchup.
Leslie Garvey
Loved the atmosphere!
Great service and amazing food!
We will definitely be back!
Margaret Charles
I was very excited to try Kumas Corner after seeing them on line. As I proceeded to find them I saw a building that said Parking for Kumas Corner. I parked and walked to the door, then around the build to the next door then all the way around back to my car to find out that was only parking. Then I came to realize they are across the road and up a little bit. After finally finding them I was able to get my carry out. Food was great, prices a little high, staff was friendly! Place looked clean with a good atmosphere. Now that I know where to park and go, I will go back.
Anthony Chau
Food was awesome! Great service. Highly recommend!
Justin Colee
One of the best burgers I've ever had! I went with the Slayer for my first time there, it was amazing, fries underneath a 10 oz burger patty covered in chili, so so freaking good! The staff was also incredible, super nice and extremely friendly. Can't wait to go back again!
Christopher Vasiento
One of Top 5 best burgers in town. A new Burger of the Month every month. Great lunch specials. One of the best beer selections in town both on tap and cans/bottles. Huge patio. If you like heavy and loud music with your food, the place is for you.
Monica
Very good food, great music and great selection of beers!
Thomas Peters
Just a great place! The static menu has several favorites, the monthly burger never disappoints. The staff are all amazing at their jobs plus they support lots of local charities. I HIGHLY recommend them.
Only complaint I ever hear from folks is the music is too loud. But, yanno... that's metal for ya!
Dana Renholzberger
The service was great and the food was outstanding. I got the Led Zeppelin burger, so worth it.
Jess Morley
It has a wonderful atmosphere and our server was extremely kind and patient. They have a huge beer menu with a decent selection of sours which are my personal favorite.
Samuel Leroy-Melamed
My wife and I love this spot. I cannot say enough good things about the food, the service, or the ambience. The ambience comes with the caveat that they are true to their mission. It's loud in there for sure.
There are countless places out there that will sell you a greasy hamburger. This place is a cut above. The ingredients piled on top of the meat are simultaneously plentiful and thoughtful. Many (all?) of the burgers come on a pretzel bun, which ingeniously keeps the structure of the burger afloat.
The beer list is outstanding.
One last comment on the service: The wait staff- at their own insistence- returned my wife's burger TWICE because they didn't believe that it was properly cooked to her preferred "done-ness." Props also to the manager for following up with us, and getting my wife a free drink.
Matt Erickson
It's a gourmet burger shop that plays heavy metal music. Menu creativity was solid, many choices. Their fried pickles were probably the best I've encountered. My burger was good, I like flame broiled. Fries are like Penn station fries...mine seemed a bit 'old' but I wolfed them down with some help from a horseradish mayo that I thought was very good.
Marci Ball
One word: YUM! My burger was huge and cooked perfectly to order. The fries are fantastic. I loved my cocktail, too. Service was good, and I enjoyed the ambiance, music, and decor. I'll be back!
Greg Loosle
Really good food. Next time im in Indy I will stop here again.
phil turner
Food was delicious bathroom smells like sewer
Alice Hedden
Delicious unique choices. Yes, some spicy. Wonderful service. Burgers are very tasty. Have been able to sit outside each time I'm there, weather was comfortable. You aren't forgotten if you're outside.
Paul C
This place has stupidly good burgers. Seriously, they’re amazing. They’re juicy, huge, and have a huge range of topping selections. I say this is the best burger in a town with a ton of burger restaurants. The mac and cheese is a great side option as well, and the beer selection is everything you could want it to be.
David Webster
I had been wanting to try this place out for the longest and I finally made it in last night! The layout is super cool, real chill vibe in the place. Our server Nick was great, but the food not so much. We ordered jalapeno poppers for an appetizer, super bland. They come with like a jalapeno jam, the jam is great, it's really the only thing that makes the poppers worth eating. I'm thinking, I hope they don't drop the ball on the burgers.....they did. The first thing that threw me off was that all of their burgers ONLY come on pretzel buns, I'm not the biggest pretzel bun guy, but if the burger's good the burger is good. I ordered the Iron Maiden because I LOVE avocado. The burger came, it wasn't very tender at all and the avocado was hard as a rock, I had to just pull it off the burger completely. I tried cutting the burger in half because they're pretty big, it was a struggle doing that since it wasn't very soft/tender. The house made ketchup is pretty good though. Let's just say we only got a to go box for the fries, which are FLAME. Real cool place, but they need a taste tester with some taste buds before they put stuff on the menu.
Kyle Maguiness
5 stars all the way!! Really good food. Expect to drop around 10-13 on a burger but you will be full and satisfied. Great drink menu for craft beers. Only negative is if you don't like metal music that's all they play on the inside but they offer patio seating if you want to avoid that.
Chelsea Walsman
We go here very often and absolutely loved the food! The people who work here are friendly, helpful, and genuinely nice to talk to. I personally get their mac and cheese because it is to die for, but my husband always gets one of their burgers which are also to-die-for! It is clean, and cool that they bring the metal genre into play!
Shamson Sundara
Our band The Anchor stopped by here because we had a show at The Hoosier Dome down the street. Great burgers! It's very neat as far as the theme of the restaurant. The burgers are named after bands and the decor gives kind of a music venue vibe. The portions are huge and will definitely hold you over. Want to definitely come back.
Sam Deal
Let's talk about great food. I went with a group the first time last week and everyone raved about their burgers. I took a group from out of town on Saturday night with the same results! I love finding new places with great food. The wait staff was awesome, thanks, Sam! Our glasses were never dry! I say check them out!!!
Zeta Retikuli
If only rating the food then it's only worth about four out of five stars. The food menu is great after all but not uniquely fantastic with the exception of a few offerings. The plentiful combinations of burgers is great and the combinations and customization options are endless. The veggie burger is probably one of the best, well crafted, and flavorful to be had in all of Indianapolis! Portions are huge so it's always a guarantee to have at least an entire meal from the leftovers. No complaints there at all especially since I'm a light eater. While the main fare and entrees are good, sides and appetizers are a bit less than stellar. Upon visiting for the first time, chose the chips instead of the fries. While the portions were excellent, the taste and texture just wasn't there. The same can be said for the fries, though side pairings are often overshadowed by the main dinner entree, it really wasn't a big deal for me. The jalapeño poppers were acceptable though a bit oily.
The real reason I love Kuma's is the beer menu. Hands down the biggest and best in the entire city! So many choices so little time to sample them all! Paired with the metal theme, music, and ambiance, Kuma's is definitely one of the coolest spots in all of Indy. The menu is rotating so there is always some new burger to try for each visit.
Rena Nouveau
This place was pretty amazing. We got sat at the bar where we watched the food get made and it was a cool sight to watch. We could still hear each other talk and watch our food come out. They are super accommodating for those wanting to edit their burger a bit. Which those burgers are huge and delicious. Well worth the price and wait.
Service is pretty good. Staff was completely friendly and warm.
Thor Conner
Great atmosphere. 1 * off because they only pretty much had ipas and Stouts. And not much in between. The burgers were a bit pricey but very creative. Next time I'm going to ask for mine a little less done than I got mine. But I will be back.
Kala R
Always a great time. Food is always on point, the servers are kind and attentive, and always a great beer selection. My favorite place i eat it Fountain Square
Stephen S.
Great venue! This place has the best burgers I have ever tasted. They have unique burgers with a variety of styles. For example, I got a nacho burger last time I visited (monthly special). This place is a metal themed bar and grill with quick service and group friendly atmosphere. They also have a great craft beer list! 10/10 would come back 😁
Kera Sheridan
My favorite burger place in the city. The staff is always friendly and the service is great. They do play loud heavy metal music (that's their theme) so if that's not your thing just order carryout because the food is worth it!
Julie Boysen
My son wanted me to get a decent burger so we went and I'll tell you it was great so if you ever down there go ahead and try
Matt Thomson
Very good, very special burgers. They have other sandwiches, Mac and cheese is great, but this place is for burgers. Get a burger. House made ketchup is excellent, worth the tiny up charge for extra. The heavy metal theme is real (though not offensively so), don't come here for a quiet candlelit evening. Outdoor seating. Protip: the "cheap" draft beer is usually local craft, is good, and is an excellent value, you can drink here all night if you like it.
Matthew Brown
Really good metal playing, great environment. Super clean restaurant with huge portions and unique recipes. A single order of mac and cheese with some meat thrown in is enough for two people to eat dinner. I've eaten most burgers on the menu. A++ would eat again.
Carrie S
Loved the food, beer, our waiter (bummed I missed his name), the outside environment was nice, but the inside was too loud (that's why it got a 4 and not a 5). I like my death metal music don't get me wrong, but not when I'm trying to have dinner and chat. I got the BOTM, the Graveripper(I think thats what it was called) and it was so good. My husband and I neither one, could finish our burger and side. I got the Tripel Karmeliet beer and it was expensive, but strong and I was incredibly full after but ... I persevered! Haha over all loved the place ... Definitely will be back as long as we can sit outside. Would love to sit inside to enjoy the environment there, looked like a cool place but the music was just too loud. Love me some Kumas.
Amanda Jolliffe
Best heavy metal burger joint EVER!! Great food. Awesome service. Good drinks. I'll be going again🤘🤘
Kate Frick
The burgers were AMAZING. I highly recommend the goatsnake, though I don't think you'll find a bad burger here. All of the staff were very friendly, and service was fast and efficient. Overall, I highly recommend. My only criticism would be how loud the music is; if excessive volume bothers you, definitely go on a day when you can sit outside.
Michael Frazee
Whoa, this place is amazing! Awesome environment, great music selection, and the food is just unbelievable. Do not go if you aren't really hungry, as the serving sizes are very generous. The ceasar salad side is very worth it and also a very generous sized portion.
Joe Bayer
What can be said about Kuma’s that hasn’t been said already?! They have some of the best staff in the business, killer drink selection, and the best burgers & mac this side of the Mississipp’. I’ve even had a buddy’s bachelor party here with almost 20 guests, and they knock it out of the park regardless of the scenario. I can’t recommend them enough.
Kelli Burdine
Found a beer I actually liked here! They had this great cider called The Dude's Rug that was amazing. Didn't really have any food but the fries were good. The other people with me ordered some burgers and enjoyed them. Great place for day drinking.
Alex Gwin
Awesome spot. Great service, great food!
Jason Bush
Great food, beer, and decor, if you are a metalhead. Honestly surprised how cool and badass it was. Obituary, EyeHateGod, Deicide, and tons of other bands featured inside.
Black Sabbath burger was great, cooked right, hefty, and spiced well. Friendly, diverse staff. Loved it, will be back!
Sarah Fortner
We enjoyed our first trip here so much! The variety of burgers were great and they were delicious! The environment was really interesting. Pretty loud, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to noise. We will be back next time we're in Indy!
Paul Williams
A really great place with a really great atmosphere with really great burgers
James Matthews
I have been three times. The food is consistently good, if you understand that the menu is basically just big burgers or sandwiches, and fries, so that's what you should be in the mood for. The rest of the experience is so-so. Part of the "theme" at this place is that they play (only) heavy metal music at a very loud volume, so conversation is difficult. The service is spotty, and the place is popular, so you will wait a decent while for your food.
Dustin Arritt
Probably the best burgers of my life. The atmosphere is killer, music grest, the staff makes you feel welcome and always are fun to talk to. If you like burgers, beer and metal or any combination then you should definitely come here. Worth the price.
MacKenzie Druecke
Food was excellent. Know what you're getting into, though. The music was loud and most dishes had some spiciness to them. It all works together well with the theme.
Garry Ciesco
This place is amazing. Best burgers anywhere and metal music blasting through the speakers. Last time I was there I had the Septic Flesh. No bullshit, best burger I've ever had. I got happier and happier with each bite I took. Great place, great atmosphere, and great food. I recommend that everyone visit this place at least once before they die.
Jacob Bower-Bir
Awesome atmosphere and friendly staff. The burgers are good, but not as good as everybody makes them out to be. Prices add up quickly, though the portions are big enough for sharing. Decent selection of beer on draught.
cylea jarvis
Don't listen to anyone who says they don't like Kumas. Trust me😇 …
Patrick K
Burgers here are great. Excellent beer selection as well.
Valerie Stephan
Awesome menu titles and the mac and cheese will make your eyes bleed!
Brandon Marrs
Everyone at the table all walked away saying it was some of the best burgers they've had. Large beer selection as well. Staff was very helpful. Environment was casual and would be a great place to go for just beers, but I would recommend not missing out and getting one of their burgers.
brendan mosey
Was very impressed with the food, staff & atmosphere - I felt urged to bite the head off a bat.
The wait staff kept stopping by & talking to my daughters, which made their nights! All the staff were very courteous & professional.
I ate the Plague Bringer burger which was phenomenal - added chicken & jalapeños to my mac n cheese.
The fries aren’t the best.
Claudio Marimon
Fantastic Bar and Grill. They play rock music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. The menu has all kinds of good and interesting options. Their burgers are fantastic. They even have a lunch sized burger, so you won't pass out at work after!
Amy Moster
Awesome burgers, don't skip the mac and cheese, extensive beer selection, coolest heavy metal vibe. Unique, delicious, not to be missed!!!
Sean Blythe
Meat, Mac n cheese, metal and much needed adult beverages makes this place one of the best in the city if not theeee best!

Kuma's corner is amazing. Hands down this is my favorite place to get a burger. Best burgers in town. Everything you order is super consistent and cooked properly. They have a very extensive beer selection and the bar is pretty well stocked. They keep the menu fresh with a burger of the month. Also their Mac and cheese is delicious.

An off chute of the fabled Chicago based "Heavy Metal Burger Bar", Kuma's Indy is everything the Chi-Town legend brings to the table dropped into Fountain Square. Amazing burgers, stellar beer selection, friendly staff, and if course plenty of shredding and 185bpm double kick drums.

I’ll preface this by saying that I love Kuma’s. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve been to the original or even the Schaumburg, IL one and had fantastic experiences. Absolutely the best burger I’ve ever had.
However, we just left the Indy location extremely disappointed. My Mac and cheese was fine, but my boyfriend got a burger as normal. What was supposed to be medium rare was passed even well done. They also forgot the sauce, something that our waitress decided to deny even as she brought a side of it over by saying it should be on the bottom bun. We had already checked. It wasn’t.
I also got a side of the chips that I ordinarily love, but were soggy with grease and completely unsalted.
We though swinging through one of our absolute favorite restaurants as we had to drive through Indy was a safe bet for a great meal. To say we’re disappointed to learn otherwise is an understatement.
We’ll stick to getting Kuma’s back home in Illinois from now on.

Amazing burger joint in Fountain Square.
Kuma's Corner is located in the same building as Duck Pin Bowling, all the way at the end where Prospect & Morris come back together. There is a small parking lot behind the building but I am unsure if it is for customers, or employees (I assume customers).
They have a big garage door that they open up during nice weather so that you can enjoy the outside while being inside. We, however, chose to sit out on the patio.
Our waitress was amazing. She had personality, was friendly, and answered any and all of our questions. She was just pure awesomness.
We started with the fried pickles, which were great. Not the best I've had...but they were pretty good. What I feel is perfect is the burgers! I had the Led Zeppelin and it was everything. Thick burger, cooked to perfection and topped to the heavens. The seasoned fries are awesome and pair perfectly with the burgers. Works can not do this burger justice.
Kuma's is epic and if you haven't been here yet...you HAVE to get here. You have no idea what you're missing!!!

Great place! Awesome music and the staff were super-friendly. I came for the special "Ghost Burger" to go before their concert at ONC and was so happy to see all the bartenders dressed up, too! Highly recommended!

I love the metal/hard rock vibe they have. The burgers are enormous and delicious. The beer selection is also superb. They offer other cocktails as well, which I didn't try, but seemed creative and tasty.

Best burgers around, hands down. The burgers are thick and juicy. The variety of topping flavor combinations is ridiculous. The staff are always nice with a gentle, but sharp metal edge.

Kuma's = burger coma! But so worth it! with each bite the complexity of the layers and combinations of toppings send your tastbuds into a psychedelic worlwind. The beef a perfect ratio of lean vs fat. Loud tunes and great service.

Met up for a quick drink but have been there many times pre-covid. Super friendly bar staff, really awesome atmosphere, killer music. HateBeak, Sourvein and Slayer are the top ones we've eaten but pretty you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Had a hard time ordering because everything looked great. Burger was cooked to perfection. fries were drenched in the juice and dropping after I was eating my burger. Fries were some of the best I've ever had. And our Server Roberta was amazing, the entire staff was super friendly.

Everything that I've had here has been wonderful. Of course their burgers are great, and unique. Their fried pickles and jalapeño poppers are amazing too though. The only reason five stars weren't given is because the last time I went a couple of the poppers I had were almost unbearable to eat. Kind of ruined the magic of them. Definitely a place worth going to, and experiencing though.

Tasty burgers with great names that'll fill you up. Fries were fantastic. Variety of brews with a head-banging atmosphere!

First time here, and the mac & cheese is amazing! However I ordered a burger and after like 20 minutes didn't have it. I was so hungry that I asked the waitress to add a full order of mac & cheese. Not too long later an order of mac &cheese comes out. It's delicious and wonderful and creamy and yummy goodness. Still no burger....I eat all my mac & cheese. Then I'm told that was a half order. Waitress puts in for another order. This time burger and 2nd mac & cheese comes out. After 40 minutes 2 orders of mac & cheese I get the wrong burger which I didn't know til I got home because I had waited so long and had to leave. It had cream cheese and stuff that I just couldn't eat.....very disappointing. Will definitely get the mac & cheese again though!!!

Been to Kuma's a few times, have tried different things each time and never been disappointed. The burgers are some of the best I've ever had, they have Jones soda on tap, and the Mac n cheese is really good and reheats well. I really enjoy this place and recommend it to people all the time.

They have a vegan friendly burger (with vegan mayo and cheese as well) which is amazing! The server was really friendly and knowledgeable about which sides were vegan too. The atmosphere was always awesome and I'm so happy I'm able to eat their amazing food now!

I love this place. The food and beer is always amazing, the staff is even better. I really can't say enough, but how can you really go wrong with a heavy metal burger and beer bar? The answer is YOU CAN'T. The jalapeño poppers are the best. Every burger on the menu is great. Just yum. Everything yum.

This place is a pretty cool experience! The prices are a bit expensive which is a bummer because I'd like to come back more regularly. Wish they had more than a pretzel bun to pick from for the sandwiches because I'm not a huge fan of that. The Mac and cheese is amazing though, and the portion size will last me for days!

Excellent food. Had the best burger I have ever had. Theme is rock/metal, which I love. Howevver, if you don't like that music, may not be the best for you. Although the food may just be worth it.
Parker Catalano
Gourmet Mac & Cheese, burgers as big as your head, non-stop hair metal (ACDC / Van Halen, etc). Awesome experience every time. If you haven't been, that's a you thing.

The first restraunt I have ever felt at home at. Very nice and knowledgeable staff. My Slayer burger was unbeatable! The dark ale Anger was amazing! Very nice art work and photos all over the place. I will definitely make the hour plus long drive to go back! A very METAL place for a very METAL guy!
Daniel Smith
Love this place. Great burgers, awesome collection of craft beer and constantly cranking metal through the speakers. Occasionally have concerts in the garage across the street.
Chad Wells
Every time we come here, we enjoy it. It's a little on the pricey side for some, but in my opinion it is so worth it. Amazing burgers and fries that may be made with crack (not really, but they are addictive!) and I love the music that is always blasting.
Kevin Manny
Love the metal music staff, decor, theme. My burger was excellent, but took till after forever to get it.
To be fair, the place was packed, with a line outside. There is a reason for that.
.... (forgive the Black Sabbath reference)

Always a favorite! I always take family here when they come to town and everyone had loved it. Heavy metal themed burger place, with unique drink selections and amazing (if a bit spicy) food. The fried pickles are the best we have ever had.

This place is amazing. Went with my company for lunch... Great service! The waiter knew his stuff, and was very helpful. All the food was good, but the burger was the best I've had in Indiana! Absolutely recommend this place, and especially if you like rock.

Kuma's is pretty close to perfect. Cool environment, friendly service, good beer selection ... and some of the most creative, interesting burgers you'll find anywhere. The Goatsnake is probably my favorite.
