The food we ordered was excellent. The attached photos show a smoky bear burger and the Cuban burger. First of all, the portions are huge so arrive hungry! The value is incredible for what they charge. Additionally, this might be the only place in the last 2-3 years that has known how to cook a burger properly. The beef patty they use is thicker and cooked to order (they were able to cook them medium and medium rare as requested). The fries were hot and fresh and the service was as quick as could be expected for made to order food. We will be excited to return in the future.

A wonderful spot with incredible food and superb service. Our waiter was the best! We called ahead to see if our large party of 8 could be accommodated and the host was hilarious. He asked us (jokingly) to sprint and arrive sweaty in order to get the table. 🤣🤣🤣 We had four kids in our party and they were thrilled with the crayons and kids’ menu! The portions were huge!! The kids’ menu had fun drinks for the kids and our two little ones split the delicious Mac and cheese. Everything was so so good! It was only $100 for the 8 of us and we brought home a full meal to have later. Definitely a go again. Highly recommend! The area is so cute too. A lot of little shops to walk around and see.

We got the spinach artichoke dip and chips and onion rings for appetizers, the dip was more like a queso dip as there wasn't much spinach in it but it was still good, onion rings were thick and delicious. The wife got the fish tacos and I got the pulled pork tacos. Both were delicious but if you don't like things on the spicy side you might avoid these 2 choices. We were filled up and had to ask for a Togo box. This is a cozy little place and they had a fire pit going outside in case you wanted to sit on the patio.

Cubano burger absolutely delicious. Very organized even with the art fair making it pretty busy. Staff was professional, if a bit green, and really made me feel welcome. Also had fried pickles and some tasty beers 🍻.

Mary was a good server, very sweet. They were really busy on a Sunday and Mary seemed to have lots of tables and was doing her best :) the food options aren’t extensive and we had a hard time finding something we wanted. I didn’t love the fish tacos (dry tortilla, liquidy sauce, and tasteless cabbage). The Mac and cheese also wasn’t amazing, maybe 7/10. Worth a try, the fries are great at least and the service was great!

My husband and I were in the Indianapolis area with our dog and were looking for a pet friendly restaurant so she could dine with us. Fire by the Monon was the perfect place. The food was very good; the burgers were perfectly grilled and delicious. Our server, Brad, was very friendly and attentive not only to me and my husband, but our dog as well. Very good dining experience. We will dine here again when we are in the area.

The fish rueben was crispy and flavorful!! Be careful when eating because it's very hot!! The waffle sweet potatoe fries were delicious!! The sauce paired very well with my meal. The service was great. Quaint restaurant. I will be back!!

Our husbands went to the Colts game, my friend and I went wandering! We are so glad that we found this darling restaurant on Yelp! A beautiful day on their patio with incredible salads! They also have a great beer menu!! I wish I remembered the waitress's name. She had excellent customer service skills!! We are already planning our return. I would recommend if you don't have a way to take home left overs be sure to share the salad!! We were staying at a hotel downtown and were sad we left salad behind!!

If the service “ain’t” there.. the food suffers to me and the service was fantastic. Just stopped in to do a few apps and a drink. Fried green tomatoes were perfectly cooked and the breading was toothsome and had a crunch. It also withstood cutting by staying on the tomato and not breaking off all over the plate. The cup of tortilla soup was flavorful and topped with fresh Pico. The drinks were well made and were alcohol forward. Perhaps could have used a splash more bitters but that’s a personal taste.

Very nice meal from here. We had the fried green tomatoes, flatbread, & fish n chips. It all was very tasty & seasoned nicely. The flatbread was loaded with tops & made your mouth water with every bite. Wait staff was very friendly & courteous. Food wait time was very short and we had a very nice time sitting on the outdoor patio. Make sure to check the hours. They close early but if you get there in time, you will have a very nice meal. We appreciate the nice dining experience.

First time I went the Dirty Mac n Cheese I didn't like, idk if I just got a bad serving that day or what so be cautious on that. However second time I was with friends and their burgers and fries were fantastic. Highly recommended.

I brought my dog here passing through. The staff was super attentive and I swear, every member greeting my dog and I haha. I only ordered the dirty mac and cheese and it filled me up too much to order more. Very flavorful and presentable. The staff was wonderful with drink recommendations as well. The patio setting is simple and cozy, with nice shade. The dessert is the real reason i’m writing this review. I had a s’mores brownie, served with ice cream and it was one of the best desserts i’ve ever had. With roasted mashallow and hershey chocolate melted over top. Immaculate. Fantastic fanatic staff and service, wonderful food, clean, great environment. And I could take my dog. what more could you ask for?!? They also brought out a whole mini plate full of dog treats and a water bowl for him!

This place was amazing. The beer was a bit expensive but the food was very delicious. We also had an awesome server who made the experience very good for us. He was patient as we had two young children with us but the overall Ambience was very nice. We will definitely be back as we want to try other food. The grouper Reuben was very good. I would highly recommend this place. It's also in a cool setting on Broad Ripple. Just be careful of the limited parking around the area but luckily they have the few spots dedicated to their own restaurant. Nice job!

Absolutely fantastic place to eat with friends or family, for a date or large gathering. The restaurant is cozy with a lodge like feel and the staff is attentive. Their portions have great value for the price and everything tasted delicious. Highly recommend the pulled pork Mac n’ cheese appetizer (best shared between 2-3 people), bacon bourbon sriracha burger, and salmon sandwich. All of their sides are amazing, but the sweet potato fries are a little bit salty. Must try: their toffee pudding dessert, which comes with vanilla ice cream.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place while running errands and just had an amazing lunch. Our server, David, was an absolute delight. They hand cut and batter their onion rings to order and I have never had better. My burger was delicious and perfectly cooked. My wife's fish and chips tasted like it was fresh out of the water. The BEST burger I've ever had in my entire life!!!!! And the "Fire Sauce" is amazingggggggg. Sort of tastes like an upgraded Big Mac sauce. I love that they will allow you to sample the beers before you commit to one.

Simply delicious is what came to mind when I tasted the sauce they brought out with my appetizer it was transcendent. This place is just wonderful the food is beyond delicious. Inviting cozy place with very large patio in the heart old the old village a good distance from the more night club bar kinda spots . No need at all for the strip cause they had a wonderful selection of wines, ales ,and cocktails. This place is the very definition of fine dining and five star quality in both food and service. I love this place and will return dinner on their patio just as the sun sets was just a rich full experience in broadripple unlike any other . Located right next to the monon trail . A must and I cant stress this enough a MUST visit if you're ever in indy must. To the Fire by the Monon I have only one word for you Bravo

Dude, this place is awesome. Prices as low as a chain, but the taste is amazing. The menu has a lot of variety, and the food is great quality. You can really tell they care about food here. Just go ahead and order yourself the pulled pork nachos. You can thank me later. We were waited on by the bartender, Jake. He's the best. We WILL be back.

Our family of 6 chose to try this while in the area. They were very busy on a Saturday night but got us in fairly quickly. I took the suggestion of another review and got the Inferno Burger. It was delicious! - My wife had the Berry Salad (I also tried some 😂) it was amazing! Kids got chicken fingers, cheeseburger (x2), Mac n cheese. And we got a side of sweet potato fries. Portions were huge, none of us left hungry (thank goodness). The only meal that wasn’t outstanding was the Mac n cheese. We all thought it was just okay. Totally worth the trip. And stop at Rusted Moon to say Hi!

One of our favorite places! These tacos were delicious and I loved sitting on the patio. Only downside was that our marinara appetizer with goat cheese tasted very strongly of green peppers.. so much so that it wasn't enjoyable. I know I won't be getting that appetizer again, but I will definitely be back to this awesome place!

Generally this place is great, food wise, atmosphere, and service. I really enjoy their ever changing specials. They had fried green tomatoes that were great and their desserts have always been delicious. I believe their desserts change based on what they feel like making. Never been disappointed with their desserts. I have had a few meals I wasn't impressed with, but overall my experiences have been great. Would recommend.

Great place for lunch. We were from out of town & used our GPS to find a restaurant. We loved your spinach/artichoke appetizer, so good. Then I got my burger and its was good, my sister got fish tacos with rice, it was awesome. The waiter & hostesses were very kind. I went to the restroom before we left because of a long drive home, I was so disappointed. The ladies restroom was so dirty, yuck!! If the bathroom was clean, I would have rated them a 5 star.

This diamond-in-the-rough nestled in the hip Broad Ripple backdrop of the Monon Trail, hits all the right notes. Price: ding! Vibe: ding! Location: ding! My friend and I made it in just before an evening rush. I arrived first, and was seated by a great hostess. My server was quick, cordial, and efficient as she handled two more parties being seated in the same section, and took my order, while allowing my friend to get settled in after she arrived. I also noticed several families. The space is flexible enough that small children can also be accommodated, or large families. I had the Veggie garden sandwich: grilled portabello mushroom caps doused in balsamic vinegar with splashes spices garnished with healthy mozzarella slices and sauteed onions and peppers. The portions were just right AND they did what few Indy restaurants can do, make their sweet potato fries just right! I will be returning, no doubt.

I really like this restaurant. I've been here five times and each time the service was great. You can't make a reservation in advance like you can with some other restaurants, but that is totally okay with me. The wait is always worth it due to the very nice service and the fair prices for what you get. I'm definitely going to be coming here more often because the food and atmosphere is also amazing. The beer choices are very nice. They aren't as extensive as another place, but their choices are well picked and most of the people who work the bar can always recommend you a nice beer. Overall, this place is amazing and I am definitely coming back.

First time stopping into this place last weekend. Overall I was extremely happy with everything from start to finish. The hostess was happy and attentive, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was pretty good. The decor/table seating styles are a little "meh" but we didn't come here for an upscale, pompous outing. I do plan on returning to try out the other food options as they all read very well. I hope to have the same great experience as previous.

Dinner at Fire By The Monon on June 16th. The service was very good, our waiter did a great job. I ordered the Cobb Salad. It was HUGE, and had all the right ingredients. Very good salad. My wife had the ribeye sandwich, and that is where things fell short. It was not tender and it had a fairly large amount of grizzle. The fries were pretty good, and her salad was fine. But, the sandwich just did not cut it. I would also say that the atmosphere needs a major update. Rather dark, and dated where we sat. I would be willing to try it again, but I would definitely advise trying to sit outside, and I would avoid the ribeye sandwich.

Everything was great, I got the Burger daily special, avocado pico burger and my husband got the free range flat bed pizza with chicken. The onion rings were huge and delicious. Located in what appears to have been a house, the Fire by the Monon is a quality new-American restaurant just a block or so off of the Monon trail. Enjoyed dinner here on a recent weekday night. The restaurant offers an easy, laid-back vibe that leans towards being, but isn't quite a beer bar or gastropub. Decent beer menu with a generous nod towards Indiana local breweries. Food is basically upscaled reworking of classic comfort food: nachos, pork tenderloin sandwiches, tacos, a few burgers and salads, and pulled pork mixed in where-ever it will fit.

One of the best places we've been to since we moved here from Memphis the staff was amazing took care of every one of our needs from start to finish. The food came out promptly and hot. And the drinks are on point will definitely recommend this place and definitely be going back also they made sure to bring our dog his own bowl of biscuits and bacon.

My 1st visit here and I regret waiting. I literally can't find a single complaint at all. I'm sorry of stunned. We had fried green tomatoes which were crispy juicy perfectly seasoned and the fire sauce was excellent. My friend had the tenderloin which was 2 meals in itself and sweet potato waffle fries I tried and loved. I had the burger special. Cooked perfectly well seasoned and the onion rings which is a standard I sort of judge places by and so far the best onion rings in BRV. Price points were excellent for the quality and portions were more than enough even if you're going in hungry. Our server Jackie was on point and attentive. Honestly. This was by far the best dine in experience I have had since I moved here. Don't regret not going sooner like am now.

We were overwhelmingly pleased with our dinner tonight at Fire by the Monon. The staff was unfailingly warm and kind. Our waitress checked in often, topping off our water and offering spare napkins without being asked. The food was delicious. I would personally recommend the grouper Rueben, but there were so many other options on the menu that sounded equally good. My girls were very pleased with their kids menu, especially the sweet potato waffle fries. We ate outside, and the menu felt like the perfect complement to the cool autumn weather.

Unassuming, laid-back, charming restaurant that really surprised us. Our waiter was personable and he guided us with helpful suggestions that showed he really understood the menu. The corn chowder was tasty and fresh. But the star of our lunch was the fish! The Grouben, a fresh take on a Reuben with fried grouper with a delicious slaw plus Russian dressing on marbled rye was sublime. Melt in your mouth, perfectly tender, fresh fish that blended seamlessly with the rest of the sandwich components. It's honestly the best sandwich I think I've ever had. My partner had the blackened mahi mahi and it too revealed a deep respect and understanding of how to honor your ingredients to make them shine. It was fresh, balanced and an absolute delight. The onion rings were also crunchy, fresh and addictive. We had two generous sandwiches plus a side for $14 each. Such a great value for what we were given. We'll definitely return and try more things. If you're in the area, give them a try, especially if you're a fan of fish.

Absolutely delicious!! My wife and myself were driving by and decided to stop for lunch with our pups 🐶. The pulled pork sandwich was very tasty and the rib eye steak sandwich was perfectly cooked and delicious!! The onion rings are AMAZING! A must have. They're very dog friendly, our pups even got a few treats, which they loved. I highly recommend this place!!

I threw a last minute surprise birthday party for my partner a few weeks back and Fire By The Monon was extremely accomodating. Even though it was insanely busy our table was ready much earlier than anticipated and they let me bring some balloons on to the patio. Our server Jake was very relaxed while we waited for the birthday man to get there. Through our drunken shenanigans we ordered 5 spinach dips all at seperate times and he didn't blink. We had 2 extra guests show up an hour later and Jake the magician pulled 2 chairs out of NOWHERE for them(This was Mothers Day weekend and college graduation weekend). He did not have a second of time to spare but still spared it to take a photo of our group. My partner is in the military and we don't get the chance to celebrate birthdays together very often and I will be forever grateful that I chose Fire By The Monon for his 25th.

This is a fantastic restaurant. Food is amazingly good and huge servings. We took home about half of what they served. Not that I'm complaining - very happy to have these leftovers. Prices are very reasonable. Service was great. If you want a great meal, be sure to check out Fire by the Monon.

So it was a delicious bite and I do love the location although the parking lot is very narrow. It's got a cute little patio but the indoor space is quite cramped and it was very warm inside. I got the Cuban burger and I was very happy with my choice! Great beer selection. I got fish tacos for my husband as a to go, along with a smores brownie and I was especially happy that the server took care to keep the ice cream part in the fridge until we were heading out.

This was my first visit. Great first impression! I ordered carry out and it didn't take long. I got the chopped salad with salmon and the pasture sandwich with sweet potato fries. The salad was delightful and large. I got the burger for some else and they enjoyed it too. They have very reasonable prices here. The customer service was awesome as well! The beer choices were very diverse. The menu choices were very good. I had the grouper Reuben, Wife had the trout, both were awesome. Plenty of food. The onion rings she had, the breading pulled away from the onions, they need to address that. The sweet potato waffle fries were not as "hot" as I would expect. The grouper sandwich was great, the Cole slaw complimented the sandwich. Our bartender was very responsive and informative to the beers we asked about.

Great little restaurant just north of broad ripple main Street. The food is very good, nice variation on some staple dishes. Beer selection is average, they have nice wine list and full bar. Our waitress, Kennedy, was super friendly (we were her first patio guests of the season). She got us set up with waters and menus right away. Drinks out quickly, and food followed soon after. She was attentive without crowding or rushing us. There are reserved parking spots in front but we usually park on the side street. Nice bar area. Good indoor and patio seating in the nice weather!

Right off the bat I will say that I have never been to this establishment. I am merely here because I would love speak of the character of the owner of this restaurant; Joe I had the pleasure of working with Joe for just two months, operating a very busy restaurant with high demand in San Diego around 2005. All it took was two days for me to realize that Joe is a person of outstanding character; he gives every single person a fair shot, he wears his heart on his sleeve and he truly wishes the best experience for anyone who walks into his place of business. Though I have not seen Joe for sixteen years, he continues to be a mentor of mine. As I have continued to operate within the food and beverage business from San Diego to Las Vegas to Los Angeles, it's Joe's standards that I hope to live up to. Fire by the Monon was one of the first restaurants I tried when I moved to Indy three years ago. I am from Spain, so I would say my food quality and service standards are quite high. Fire by the Monon meets those standards with ease. I have visited this restaurant dozens of times over the last three years and the staff has not once failed to be kind, nice, and accommodating. Furthermore, the restaurant's breaded tenderloin (my favorite) is incredible, and they offer a pretty good rotating selection of local beers. I no longer live in Indiana, but I still make a point to visit every time I am around. It is that good!

We hit up Fire by the Monon yesterday for the first time and were very disappointed with ourselves for not having tried this place sooner. I can't speak to the ambiance of the interior as we asked to be seated outside and they got us seated right away. The whole place though gives off the feel of the locally owned restaurants you find exploring San Diego. There is a clear dedication to outdoor space, to quality ingredients and well prepared foods. One of my favorite things on Earth is a fried green tomato. If they are on the menu, I am going to order them. They aren't hard to screw up and I often get some soggy waste of a tomato. When Ted (our awesome server), told us they were the seasonal appetizer, we gave them a go. They were so ridiculously well prepared that I probably spent a third of the meal talking about the appetizer. Speaking of Ted, the overall service was fantastic. It was prompt but we never felt rushed. When he heard my 11 year old daughter talking to us about getting something "fun" to drink he looked right at her and said "I will get them to whip you up something sweet." The whole experience was fantastic. We will be back.

Had my first visit to Fire by the Monon recently and to say the least, I can't wait to go back! Great, relaxed ambiance and an even greater menu and staff. Dylan was an attentive server and gave honest suggestions on what to try. Everything on the menu sounded so good, definitely tough to choose only 1 thing but you can't go wrong with anything! All the portions were huge and everything was delicious. The Peach Bread Pudding was AMAZING & left craving some more! Will definitely be back to try out some of their other menu items! Edit: Have been back quite a few times since my original review and I just wanted to update that I continue to be impressed with how personable all of the staff has been with us! They're dog friendly and I love that they bring out a small plate of treats for our pups. They enjoyed their yummy treats and I loved that they care enough about their customers to make sure our pups had a great dining experience too!

Hosts seem to have an attitude bartender was awesome food was fantastic could not eat all of it big portions had the fire going on outside which got my attention when to take my drink outside just to sit until my food was ready the hostess come running saying I could not sit out there because they did not have the staff rude should not have the fire going if you can't sit out there . The beer cheese appetizer was disappointing for my taste; just not what I expected and didn't taste much like beer. Service was great. Love the Broad Ripple location. My cousin ordered the Greuben Sandwich, a Reuben sandwich made with fried grouper. She loved it. The fish was plump, moist and tender. I will order that next time.

Visited this place for dinner with my wife. We were greeted and seated promptly in the bar area. A non-"trendy" and laid back vibe. We had fried pickles as an app. Very good and crisp without being overly greasy. She had a cobb salad and I had the top sirloin with mashed potatoes. Both meals came out quickly and were well above our expectations. Very good food without any pretense and good service. Definitely recommend.

This is a fun and casual place. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic. David was funny and wonderful! The dirty mac and cheese was our favorite. David brought a side of barbecue sauce to dip it in and that put it over the top. We live an hour away but will definitely be back!

Normally I don't post reviews but this place was amazing, I went with two other people and split the pulled pork nachos, Mac and cheese, beer cheese dip, carnivore flat bread, inferno burger, and the tug of war and had some of their peach bread pudding with vanilla ice cream with Maker's Mark caramel on the side, and not only was all of the food absolutely fantastic, but our waiter was the greatest. He brought us extra plates, and another table because of how we were dividing the food took up more space, then gave us his reviews for the best stuff(which obviously didn't disappoint) the service was fantastic. So if you go ask for David as a waiter. Also portion sizes are big, and prices are so agreeable I'm usually a cheapskate, but they blew me away. 10/10 will do it again. Already planning the next trip and I live four hours away.

I would love to go back and check out the outside seating portion, but the inside was quaint and it was a good experience. Prices were pretty good I think, pork chops w two sides for $18 which is a little less than what I would have paid in general so I was happy.

This was a great place with delicious food! There is a dog friendly area, and so we brought our dogs. Before we even got to our table, they had bowls of ice water and a small plate of treats for them. Everyone was very nice to the dogs and made sure we felt they were welcome, not just tolerated. This would be enough for five stars in my book, but the food was also excellent! I ordered a burger cooked medium, and it was delivered to me perfectly! It was so juicy and flavorful, with a perfectly crispy outside, and the side of onion rings I ordered was good too. Would highly recommend!

Place was great! The service was top notch and the entire staff is friendly. We got right in and too a table. For dinner, I had the bourbon sriracha pork chop (6 oz) on a skillet of fried mushrooms and onions, complimented perfectly with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I knew just how good it was because my lady doesn’t really care for spicy food and she loved it. For desert we got the s’more brownie and it was a perfect end to a good meal. Very nice place to meet friend, chat and have a good meal.

Very busy Friday night around 7pm. Shouldn't be surprised. Waited inside in bar area. Waitress very hospitable as others were doing the same. Notified of seat ready about 20 minutes later. Took inside seating due to heat outside. Seating area and food were fine. Big problem was the noise. Most likely due to construction design and layout, as this appears to be a converted house, but it was a big "downer" for us. We could go back but would try outside instead of inside.

Stopped by here on a weekday evening for dinner with a friend. The pork tacos were delicious, wait staff were friendly, and I liked the restaurant's ambiance and decor. Only negative was that parking (even on a Wednesday evening) was a nightmare. Had to circle nearby side streets several times until I found a spot to parallel park in the neighborhood. The parking spot I found was pretty far from the restaurant, and the lack of street lights made the dark walk back to my car a bit unpleasant.

I am basing this rating on one visit but I do plan to go back. The food I had was delicious. I had a grilled salmon sandwich without the bread so basically a nice size grilled and smoked salmon fillet that was SO good I've been craving it ever since. It came with a lemon dill mayo I believe which was very good and I had a side of fries - also quite good and I'm very picky about fries! It was also served with a YUMMY "house" sauce or dip of some sort that was a simple and delicious sweet pepper flavored concoction that seemed like a cross between homemade ketchup and maybe Thousand Island dressing? It was magically delicious! I ate it on salmon and fries and MAY have poured the rest directly into my mouth...but I'm not admitting that. The waiter was friendly without being at all annoying. He knew the menu well and made honest recommendations. We ordered the appetizer special - fried green tomatoes - but he came back out to let us know that he would not be serving them because he said they were just not great at this point because the tomatoes were too mushy. So glad he did that because I would have been really disappointed with a mushy version of one of my fav dishes. REALLY GOOD EXPERIENCE. I want to go back a.s.a.p.!

Stopped by on a whim with a friend. We split the pulled pork nachos and the Dirty Mac n Cheese. Both dishes were very good. They also had a cherry wheat ale that was not bad. For desert was the peach bread pudding was superb - try it. Overall a good place to check out in Broadripple.

We ordered salads and could easily have split one between the two of us. I enjoyed the fruit salad, which had plenty of fresh berries. The prices were very reasonable, and the service was efficient, and pleasant. I can't wait for the warmer weather so we can go back and eat outside.

The food was decent and the outside seating area seemed nice but we were not impressed with the service we received and the inside was very loud. It's an open floor plan with wood floors so sound carries and people walking and talking at normal levels sounded much louder than it would. But it was a 20 minute wait to eat outside (even though I saw several empty tables but maybe people had reservations) so we decided to eat inside. They were fairly busy but by no means slammed and our waiter was extremely slow. I ordered a white sangria and it took him about 15 minutes to finally bring it to me. At first I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe the bar was backed up but when he finally brought it to me it was literally just a little bottle that he opened and gave to me with a glass of ice. He could have brought it with our waters. It took awhile for him to come get our orders but the food was hot when it came out so at least it wasn't just sitting there. Then after all 3 of us were done eating we waited for at least half an hour for him to come get our plates. At one point he was walking down the hall and made eye contact with me as I was motioning for him to come over and instead he turned and disappeared into the back for another 5-10 minutes. I have never been tempted to just walk out without paying and the only thing that kept me from it was knowing that other people would be missing out on payment for their work and what they provided. I had been planning on ordering dessert but I didn't want to be stuck there for another hour. I'm giving this 3 stars because the food was pretty good, the outside seating area seemed much nicer and less loud, and the other waiters and waitresses seemed to be more on top of things. I think we just got a dud.

As a visitor to Indy, this place was an awesome start to my trip to central Indiana. The staff was very friendly, the decor and patio dining areas are well designed, and the food was outrageous (in a good way). Put your diet aside for just a moment and get the mac and cheese with pork. Trust me. They also have a very good local beer menu. The waitress was kind enough to bring some samples to our table to decide on what we wanted. You will not regret visiting this place.

It's a really nice place. The beer cheese and pretzel as an appetizer was delicious, the servers were friendly and kept our glasses full, and the Salmon my girlfriend had was great. My steak however was not great. I don't know why they do this but I ordered the 12oz Ribeye steak medium rare and it was brought out on a piping hot skillet like you would receive if you were at a Mexican restaurant and ordered fajitas. The steak was good but a little overcooked, but the hot skillet with the already overcooked (probably Medium) steak was a just a fail. I don't need the fanfare of a crazy sizzling skillet with my steak. It's a steak I'm already excited. So as you can imagine by the time I finished the steak, like 10 minutes after I got it, it was very dry from being continually cooked on the skillet. I would probably go back to this restaurant but I definitely wouldn't order a steak form there.

Then they seated us at a four top when they were five of us and that table had been cleared earlier. Switched part way through the meal to a table made for 5.

Its always a good sign that the worst thing you can say about a place it that there is not enough parking. Fire by the monon is one of the best surprises I've had in quite some time. You will not only find an excellent staff who are warm and welcoming (shout out to or waiter Dillon ) but you will find a very nice atmosphere that may even be considered upscale. You will find food that is exceptional and at a very reasonable price. The flavors bursting forward from the food shows the cook(s) take care and appreciate the dishes they present you with. Even the presentation of such food was above and beyond. I will make this place a regular stop. I suggest you do the same.

This is by far my favorite place to eat in Indianapolis. Located near the heart of broadripple, it is close to tons of local shopping and fun local landmarks like the Monon Trail. However, the location is not what brings you to Fire by the Monon- it is always the food. There is nothing better than their pulled pork on just about anything. Eat it in the dirty mac n cheese, the flat break, on a burger, or all on it's own with a tug of war. I have never had an entree here that I didn't savor and enjoy thoroughly. As if that wasn't enough to bring you in, the sides are also fantastic- my favorite is their sweet potato waffle fries with their chipolte ranch dipping sauce. Another win is their regular waffle fries- always a delicious standby. They also have a perfect selection of local brews- which makes it the perfect place to try out some local legends. Whether you are meeting your friends or your co-workers, the atmosphere is comfortable and casual. There is a bar area if you are looking for a more adult atmosphere as well as a cozy front porch for summer outdoor dining. This hands down is my favorite place to eat and I would refer it again and again. If you are looking for a new favorite spot- look no further.

Fire by the Monon is great restaurant for grilled chicken sandwiches, pulled pork nachos and a good old fashioned pork tenderloin sandwich (huge). It’s nestled in the neighborhood areas of Broad Ripple very close to the Monon Trail. Meals generally run from $9-15.00 depending on what you order. Most alcoholic beverages are served and the environment is very family friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Most of the food is pretty good but sometimes it is very good (not consistent). This is a great place to sit out on a nice day and enjoy the weather and a good beer. Dog friendly is a huge plus and all of the staff and service is excellent (especially Harrison, hes such a cutie, and so attentive) so definitely stop by!

Absolutely check all safety boxes, package food very well for transport, and are always incredibly friendly. What a nice spot, located in the middle of a neihborhood. The food options include a good range of pub options such as burgers, nachos, and salads. I had the pulled pork which was fantastic. I could smell the wood smoker so I knew this place was at least somewhat serious in their preparation. The food came out screaming hot and the service was top knotch. In looking for a place to meet friends, Fire By the Monon would show up in search results. Finally in June 2015, my wife and I met friends for some light food and drinks. It was very nice and now is on my list of places to visit if I ever write that Indy travel guide! The restaurant is quaint and cozy. It is locally owned by "Joe" who lives close by and always seems happy to talk with his customers. They are kid friendly. The kids menu even has an option to ask for additional plates and let your kids eat off your plate. The children will get a pack of crayons and coloring pages to keep them busy while waiting. For the food: We've had a variety of dishes here. I love the fish tacos. My wife was talking with the owner about the tacos and said she wants to try them sometime with chicken. He said, "we can do that now if you want." So, she had them with chicken and loved them! There are a number of pork dishes and a number of mac & cheese dishes. The spicy pork bbq in mac and cheese was very good. The kids pizza is a good size. Our kids could split one (although they haven't yet - dad seems to find something to do with the left over pizza :) Burgers are great. We always get the beer cheese pretzels - hot pretzels with beer cheese dip! Drink: there are excellent mixed drinks. See the photos for some of the offerings. Also the local beer selection is wide and accommodating. Other: The bathrooms are very clean and updated. Again, they are also kid friendly with changing tables. My wife checked it out and added that there are even clean diapers in the bathroom - nice touch! FBtM has great outdoor seating. You will see this right when you walk up. There are some seats close to an outdoor fire place if it is a chilly night and you want to sit outside. We did this once on a family visit. If you are sitting outside during the sunset, the seats on the west will get a short period where you cannot block the sun (it only lasts a bit until the sun is behind trees - still, sit with your back to the west and act surprised and concerned when the other people in your group pull out their dark sunglasses). The location is in Broad Ripple down a side street and close to the Monon. Great location! They have a parking lot - not enough for everyone dining there to have a spot, but there is free and pay street parking close by. I have not every had a problem finding a free place to park. I enjoy this restaurant and am glad I live close enough to frequent it often!

One of the best eateries in Broadripple. The Fish and Chips were the best I've had in town. The Bier Cheese dip (made with Indy's Sunking Creme Ale) is a particularly stand-out dish. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice as well. If you can, try to get a spot outdoors. The views of the river are tops.

I also had the Coop: Grilled chicken breast, sautéed mushrooms & onions, spinach, fresh mozzarella & red pepper pesto. So good! Portions are very large, enough to feed at least two people, that is if you want to share. (NOT MY dirty mac. MINE.) Pleasant staff, bartender is a little quirky and I would be lying if I told you I wasn't a little annoyed that he made my bloody Mary...not a bloody Mary. I want my bloody Mary to be made with vodka, not gin and just because I asked if you guys could make Micheladas did not mean I wanted my drink to taste like oysters. I will admit that the drink was still good..but when you expect something and you get something else it can be annoying. We will definitely be back, I want to dine outside next time, maybe bring my pups. Well, only if the weather is under 82 degrees.

I had roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus =5 stars. My gf had salmon= 4.5 stars. Her mother had cowboy cut porkchop= 4.25 stars. My gf's stepdad had fish n chip= he seemed happy (hes ordered that there each of the 3 times he's been) And well all shared a app of pulled pork nachos =5 stars. Each chip comes loaded with melted cheese and pulled pork on it (like a tiny piece of pizza). And in the center is the Pico, guac and sour cream. Its not all messy with everything haphazardly thrown all over, but strategically placed! Also there was a craft peach wheat beer (I'd say an abv of 5%) that was phenomenal!
