Delicious Greek food, I truly can't recommend Taste of Greek enough. It is worth every penny if you are a lover of Greek food like us! We love the clean and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant, the food and service is always phenomenal(: A lovely family running this restaurant. They are always so nice to us. No wait on Mother’s Day. My Hubby enjoyed his lamb panini and Baklava. I had moussaka which was a unique treat. My daughter enjoyed a chicken pita. My son-in-law enjoyed a greek salad. Service by the owner was exceptional!

Visited Taste of Greek today looking for something different. Food was fantastic, prices were fair, and the lady at the cash register was super friendly. This seemed like a nice family business. Can’t wait to visit again! Our family got gyros- great tasting pita, beef and chicken. Rice was good and fries were seasoned really well. Next time I’ll have to try the lamb.

Food was very good! I’ve only had Greek food a few times in my life and my girlfriend who I took yesterday had never tried it so we went here to try it out. We had ordered the gyro plate one with lamb and the other with beef. We both enjoyed the food and we will definitely be back here when we need some very good Greek food. The hummus is came with was good and the other white condiment it came with was also good. The fries were also surprisingly good, they were not soft and soggy like a lot of places serve! The dessert along with the bread I will not order again. Overall happy!

Excellent service, excellent food Got hummus + 2 pita 4 gyro baskets (2 lamb, 1 beef, 1 chicken) Greek salad Everything came out piping hot and really fast Lamb and the pita was absolutely delicious could eat just that by itself. Customer service incredible everyone that talked to us really nice and inside is very clean. Definitely coming again and recommend to anyone.

Taste of Greek is a great addition to the Kingwood dining experience. We have had the Moussaka, gyros, kabobs, falafel,dolmades and multiple other menu options. All are delicious. Salads and soups are also good options. Enjoy some of those sweet treats as well. Highly recommend stopping in soon

My fiancé and I found this place a few months ago cause we felt like eating Greek food, we’ve tried one other place. But this place, it’s now “our Greek spot”. The owner is always so nice and the food is amazing! The pistachio baklava is sooo yummy!

We have been here several times and the owner is so friendly. The food is always fresh and tastes great every time. The tzatziki sauce is to die for and the hummus is delicious. The kebabs are always great as well. We highly recommend the food!

Picked up lunch between appointments. Ordered the build your own combo. I chose lamb dolmades and hummus. I added some lemon potatoes on the side. The lamb had good flavor. Came with plenty of tzatziki sauce. Just kind of pricey. After tip it was a $38 lunch. If you are in area, want Greek food, and do not want to drive far, this is a pretty good bet.

My friend surprised us with pastitsio & baklava tonight, our 1st from here, & it literally melted in our mouths!!! My husband is Greek & this tastes like his mother's home cooking. Scrumptious doesn't begin to describe it. We live at the Energy corridor but are planning to go next week. It is Home on a Fork!

1st time eating Greek and it was awesome! I loved the Bifteki Kabob. I had the make your own plate and I got to choose my own 2 sides which included salad at no extra cost They have lamb that is tender and juicy whichmy fiancé enjoyed. I will order this on my next visit. This was such a nice quiet meal and quality time with my fiancé. I am happy we just found our favorite Greek spot in town. We will be back on numerous occasions.

This is a place that definitely outshines all other Greek restaurants in all of Texas. My wife and I have been to other more familiar Greek restaurants, but Taste of Greek is definitely number 1. We were also very honored and privileged to get a chance to meet and speak with the owner, Alton, who himself is in the back with his team. He's a very friendly and knowledgeable Greek man. 100% knows what he is doing and does an excellent job at bringing Greece to Texas. We're glad we came here for Greek food. My wife ordered the beef kebab which came with two sides- she chose rice and dolmade- and some pita. The kebabs were packed full of flavor. We recommend using the pita to pinch off a piece if meat and dipping it into the home made tzatziki. Not to mention, the tzatziki here is the king of all tzatzikis'. The rice was flavorful and aromatic, and for the dolmades, we have never had dolmades this good before. For myself, I wanted to order something other than a typical gyro so I had the mousaka. Let me tell you. I was not disappointed. I don't know how to describe the plate of heaven but it can be compared to comfort food. I definitely recommend this if you're looking to get "outside the box". You will not be disappointed. Over all 5/5 but we wish we can give 10 stars. Highly recommend coming here especially if you have family or friends visiting. This is the spot. This is our new "go-to" Greek spot. Truly is a Taste of Greek.

This is my new favorite place. Dine in last Sunday, hubs and I both did the gyro basket...I was tempted to order a second one. Did takeout Falafel Plate tonight. Was not disappointed. I left a tiny bit of salad, hummus and pita for when hubs gets off work. Owners are the nicest people and I wish the great success! I plan on working my way through the menu.

Taste of Greek in Kingwood Texas Went by a hunch and heard through the grapevine a couple of good recommendations. With my wife, and two sons to dine in for a quick meal. Everything we tried was very good. The Staples of course pita, olives, lamb gyro, salad, falafel, humus tsasiki all very traditional. Al, Daniela y Sokol have figured out the formula to satisfy our palate with authentic cuisine.

So good! Ordered 2 gyros baskets, one with fries the other with a Greek salad. The gyros and pita bread were hot, fresh and delicious, steak fries were perfectly golden and seasoned and the greek salad was the perfect portion to share. Also got the baklava for a little something sweet for dessert.

About 3 weeks ago I was looking for a place to eat where I’ve never previously eaten. Then I discovered A Taste of Greek, and I am ecstatic I did. I am originally from Long Island where ethnic foods are the norm. Greek and Mediterranean are amongst foods I frequent. I can state unequivocally their food is the best Greek food I have eaten outside New York. I knew instantaneously on the first bite. I have been back to the shop several times since to try new dishes and have favorites again. I can say it is consistently prepared to the same high standard of flavor. From the very first moment I stepped into the store I was treated like I was their best customer even though we’ve never met. As I was deciding what to eat, the staff was listening intently and delivered exactly what I was looking for. Their recommendations were spot on. It’s obvious they take great pride in what they are doing. I have since learned it is a family run business and they are actually from Greece. They represent the embodiment of the American dream; each generation’s success improved by the previous generation and the struggles they persevered through. The whole staff is so friendly and accommodating I don’t understand how any sane individual could possibly feel uncomfortable in their shop.

I love Greek food - and Taste of Greek is a really nice mom-and-pop place. The atmosphere reminded me of the Greek and Italian mom-and-pops in New York, Philadelphia, and Boston. The food and service were great. We all ate gyros and loved them. We also ordered some Greek sodas. There was a grape version - which I drank and absolutely loved. My girlfriend had the lemonade version. She loved hers too - but still tried to drink some of mine. Negative. If you're not with a snooty date who insists on emptying your wallet (because as we all know - money grows on trees) - then take her, your parents, kids, friends, co-workers, etc., here - and have yourself a great meal.

Looks can be deceiving! Come right on in the shopping center front door to authentic Greek food! From the hummus to the tzatziki sauce to the lamb gyros meat, everything was delicious. Prepared on premises. We were the only diners eating in, but throughout our mealtime people were calling and picking up orders to go. The kitchen was constantly busy on a Sunday afternoon. Prices were good for the big quantity of food served. Definitely coming back to try more dishes.

This is the kind of place a person could walk in to, order anything, and still leave happy with the food… that’s how it started for us. My family and I lucked into finding this place a few years ago and have been customers ever since. Having ordered everything from the Gyros to the Lamb Shank, Kabobs to the baklava I can comfortably say this family owned restaurant doesn’t miss. We’re grateful that they’re here in Kingwood!

Oh sweet baby Jesus, the food was so delicious. This was our first time stopping by and we will be back. It was super clean (restrooms too) and employees were quick & friendly. There was a steady stream of people coming in while we ate. There are only 5 tables inside and a couple of outdoor tables, but it didn't feel crowded. If you're in the area, give it a try.

Everything I have tried, so far, is delicious! The lamb gyro is so flavorful. The chicken dinner plate had enough to make two plates out of. The baklava is one of the best I've had. The deciding factor is how the employees make me feel like family! We are always greeted with a smile. The owner takes the time to talk to us. Definitely a 5 star rated restaurant for us!!!

This is a small place, but good. There are a handful of tables if you do want to dine in. I often get the staple of a gyro sandwich, but the thing that really stands out is their fries. They're a battered type fry and crisp, but the seasoning they put on them is perfect.

So far I have not ordered anything I have not liked. And they are very accommodating on the menu. The salad was great but I would recommend that Taste of Greek consider changing the formula for the dressing. It was really just oil and I think you guys can do better.

I would leave a picture, but the food was so good I ate it. Very clean. Very professional. The food is excellent. My sister used to run Greek isles and spring Texas. This food is very well cooked and the most important ingredients is with love. And great customer service. I'll be back. I'll take pictures next time and I recommend this to anybody. Yes they do have outdoor and indoor seating.

First-time customer. I ordered the gyro platter which is a gyro with french fries and baklava. The french fries were common fries with some slightly-spicy seasoning; nothing too great and maybe a bit subpar for fries in general. However, the gyro was absolutely excellent. Perfectly-seasoned meat and a thinner than usual pita which I really appreciated so it wasn't so bready. I enjoyed this gyro better than most popular Greek restaurants like Niko Niko's. The baklava tasted fresh and home made. I would definitely eat here again but might try the rice as a side next time.

I also order stuffed grape leaves. DIVINE. No sauce needed. Its my go to snack. I have ordered the lemon potatoes. Lemon is not overwhelming and has a great herb seasoning. I absolutely love their Greek Salad. It's is so simple and mouth watering. The side salad is still a good sized portion and doesnt skip any of the traditional essentials. Lastly, the Baklava is just heaven. I really loved the chocolate hazelnut. The owner is always present, ensuring one on one customer service and satisfaction. Truly a gem!

I pick up delivery orders from this place for ubereats and I am always immediately greeted by the happiest, most kind, genuine workers. I walk out cracking up laughing at the charming wittiness of the owners/staff every time. This is one of those authentic places you just know is the real deal. The owners no doubt love to spread the love with the dishes that have been passed down from the greek culture, not some Americanized "GUY-ROWS" you'd find at other restaurants that claim they serve green food. I have yet to make it in to actually order a meal, but as soon as I am financially sitting in a little better position, this place is on top of my list to try with my husband. You can get it delivered, pick up, dine in I'm not sure about at the moment. I just know by the extremely high amount of deliveries I take from here that it's as quality as can be. Visiting family in Texas, my sister and I stopped in for lunch, which we ate outside at one of two available tables. I had a gyro, she had the falafel plate. Honestly the gyro was mediocre. It wasn't bad but the meat wasn't anything to write home about and the toppings were mediocre as well. I have been to other places that try to hide the fact that their tomatoes or greens aren't the best by dumping on more tzatziki, but this place didn't follow that strategy - and I kind of wish they had. Tzatziki can cover up an awful lot. Ah well. The pita was good, my sister's falafel was good and was well spiced. She enjoyed the Greek salad that came with it. The staff was friendly, and honestly I t was lovely to sit out front and eat. I am here for a few weeks and will likely give them another chance. So, not amazing, certainly not bad, will update if I go again.

We went to the grand opening today of their new location, on West Lake Houston Parkway...and we have mixed feelings about this experience. 1. The staff were very friendly 2. The gyro was absolutely amazing and priced right. 3. The moussaka was awful and outrageously priced. It looked nothing like their photo. There was no meat and it's a meat dish. For nearly $13, all we received was a tiny 2" x 3" x 1" container... and nothing else. We complained and they replaced it with a gyro. 4. The falafel plate and dalmas tasted great but were also over priced. We would absolutely go back but only for the gyros.

It's great to have a Greek restaurant here in Kingwood! The food was delicious - we had souvlaki and a gyro. I do understand that this is not meant to be a fancy place, but if you offer inside seating, it would really be nice to be able to eat the food on a plate vs. out of a styrofoam box. When our name was called and were handed a bag of food to eat there, we just went ahead and took it home. I was told, "It was because of COVID," but thing is we watched one of the cooks not wear a mask the whole time we were there -- and that's because of COVID...I see that Kingwood is really supporting you and I do as well. It's a challenging time and even despite the mask situation, we will be back. Hopefully, everyone will have masks on.
