Reviews of Maguro Spot
Pradeep chowdary peddineni
incredibly impressed with the quality of the fish and the delicious spicy mango sauce. The "make your own bowl" option was especially great; I got a combination of tuna, salmon, shrimp, and marlin, and the flavors all went perfectly together. The toppings cost only 50 cents extra, so it was easy to customize my bowl to get the perfect mix. There's nothing quite like the quality of fresh fish, and that's exactly what Maguro Spot Poke provides - and at an excellent value too! The restaurant itself is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but don't let that put you off - the food more than makes up for the lack of atmosphere. All in all, I absolutely recommend Maguro Spot Poke for anyone looking for a truly unique and flavorful poke experience!

I must've eaten here at least a dozen times because they had the bomb poke and it was walking distance from my hotel! First of all- try the blue marlin! It's insanely delicious and fresh. I had every poke combination possible. I didn't love my poke salad because the leafy part of the salad was too little and it was sad. So I went back to the poke bowls. It's a tiny place with seating outside- be prepared to not sit down inside. The restaurant staff are super nice and the vibe the just right. It was always such a yummy meal.

Good prices for fresh poke! Some of the best poke we have had since being in Hawaii and we have only have poke for every meal since being here... Go check it out, it does get pretty busy but you won't find a better place to grab poke! Their XLarge is huge, two people ate it and were full for just $18 right off the main street in Waikiki beach.

Highly recommend, the food here has been amazing so far. I've tried a couple poke back in Vancouver, but it just doesn't compare.
What makes it is the freshest salmon and tuna as their ingredients. Favorite has been the salmon ikura bowl. Soft salmon with the sushi rice and the salmon eggs that adds a little bit of saltiness. Each bite is so wonderful. I will definitely miss this spot when we head back home.
The portions were a good size and is also fairly reasonable pricing.

This lovely take out spot serves up delicious fresh dishes that are simple and healthy and delicious! I had the large House Poke bowl with brown rice. It comes with your choice of protein I got tuna, the house sauce is marinated Japanese salted Kombu and cucumbers in sesame oil 10/10 would recommend. Very fast friendly service.

I ate at Maguro Spot multiple times during my trip to Waikiki - it was so good! Short line to order but it moves fast. Waited 5min at 5pm and 15min at 7pm, but the line was growing.
I tried #1 (Spicy Mayo) and #3 (Hawaiian) with Ahi Tuna. The fish was super fresh and the sauces were so flavourful. I like that there are several sizes to choose from, rice options (white, brown, sushi) and that you can add toppings, rather it being just fish on rice like many other places. Toppings range from $0.50 to $2+ each depending on what you choose.
Small size is a good snack size, but I'd say get at least a medium for a main meal. Prices are affordable and staff are friendly. Each order is made fresh and takes a couple minutes to prepare. I am surprised this place isn't on more people's radar as a must try. I can't wait to go back!

A long but worthwhile wait for this walk-in poke spot. Super fresh, delicious, and very reasonably priced. Enjoyed the Volcano special, prefer the mixed fish, and can also make your own. The volcano shrimp on their own were also great. Can order ahead on Instagram, May try that next time!
Jeff Koo
This spot was fast, affordable, and had lots of options. The menu system was a bit daunting with all the options but the workers were great at making suggestions. The poke tasted fresh and they were generous with fish, but the bowl itself felt small and the rice was a bit hard. It was also long grain and I expected short grain. Other than that, this was a decent poke spot! Highly recommend the rainbow poke if you like creamier style pokes!
Helen ICE
We had lunch at this popular place today. The Shoyu bowl I ordered was very delicious. The salmon and rice tasted very good. I hope I will try some other bowls later. Strongly recommend it.
Kelly Lopez
Incredibly fresh tasting ingredients. The poke at Maguro spot is delectable.
I tend to go for the classic spicy mayo poke with tuna, sushi rice, cucumber, garlic and avocado. There are bottles of shoyu sauce and Sriracha sauce if you want to add into your bowl too.
I like to take it home and add some crunchy garlic sauce in mine for some added texture.
Loved every bite, and the lines move along relatively quickly so don't be intimidated by long lines. 10/10 would eat again
Cidane CG
Rice is cooked correctly and served warm. This makes a difference.
I don’t eat raw fish much so cannot tell how fresh it is. It melts without chewing in your mouth.
Their sauce is not overwhelmed by strange cream. That is great to an Asian stomach.
But they serve garlic shrimps cold, which could bring out more flavor if being warmed.
Good location so you can stop by easily.
Sunny L
Had their tuna poke bowl with Hawaiian and house sauce. Delicious! There's always a lineup but it seems to move fairly quickly. Counter service and fast, efficient and friendly. There's limited seating outside with patio umbrellas for cover. Price is reasonable compared to other quick service restaurants on the Waikiki strip.
Greg Guster
Airline pilot, on island every 10 days. I go to Maguro every time. By far the best deal in the area, and absolutely delicious. Just pick which seafood (or combo or all), then what size bowl, then type of rice, then sauce (rainbow for me). You can't go wrong. I attached some pics of their menu and corner location. It is small, and efficient. Don't let the line discourage you, it moves fast. There is a line for a reason :)
LB
Went for a quick lunch. It's a small spot off the main strip. The surroundings are a little grimy but the staff are super nice and the fish is delicious. I let the guy at the counter recommend something. It was a mix of fish over sushi rice with a spicy sauce. Paid a dollar extra for seaweed salad which was a tiny helping. But again, it was so good I really couldn't complain.... Not cheap. But hit the spot.
Todd Martin
Don't let the outside fool you, this place is the best bang for your buck poke in Waikiki. Everything is top notch and going to make you want to go back for another hit of poke decadence.
It's made to order and you can personalize it to get the exact taste you want. Tons of options for your entire time in Waikiki.
Don't skip this place, even if there is a line. It goes fast.
Trisha D
Best poke bowl I've ever eaten. So great that you can customize it however you want. The seafood and ingredients were super fresh and everything just tasted amazing.
Some places overdo it with the (spicy) mayo, but this place just does it perfectly. Can't wait to go back and the prices were super affordable and the service was quick. I could eat this every day if I lived in Hawaii.
Anna A.
Delicious poke in Waikiki at an amazing price! I got a small Hawaiian Poke Bowl with sushi rice, salmon & tuna... It was the perfect portion for a light lunch. I would add spicy mayo to it next time for a bit of a kick. My boyfriend got a large Spicy Poke Bowl with white rice, salmon & tuna. I tried some & it was super tasty as well. This place is a must try if you're in the area!
Loureal Agustin
One of the best poke bowls I’ve had. Yuki was very friendly at the till.
There usually is a big line up before they close - just a heads up! If you end up waiting, it would definitely be worth it. I had the Hawaiian style sauce (while in Hawaii, of course), and have not tasted anything quite like it. It was absolutely delicious!
Susana Stamenkovic
We discovered this place by accident four years ago on our first visit to Honolulu, it was not as busy like now. So simple yet tasty and affordable. So happy second time visiting Honolulu and remembered the location and see they’re doing well with line up customers outside. Still good and satisfying.
Charbel Fares
This is by far the best poke place on the island! Stayed on Honolulu for 10 days - had 8 meals from Maguro! Yes! This is how good it is.
Here’s what i ordered;
- protein: Salmon ( go for the large size and skip dinner!)
- base: brown rice
- toppings: seaweed salad, macadamia, green onions, edamame, avocado, cucumber, Ikura
- sauce: creamy sesame ( ask for double the qty)
In general, food in Honolulu is not the best, but this place stands out especially if you like poke bowls
Expect a long line if you arrive before 5 or after 6 PM. Worth the wait
Sam K
Food was super delicious! We’ve been eating different poke places all week and this would be one of my top picks. Very tasty, good portions, great location not fair from the beach. Cute little sitting area on the side but it does fill up quick. Line was out the door (for good reason) but it moved quick!
Stef Sung
THE BEST poke I've ever had. Super fresh fish. First time seeing Marlin in a poke bowl and it was delicious. The raw onion was a little too aggressive for me, but still overall super tasty. I love the Ogo seaweed. In California, I haven't seen the Marlin or Ogo seaweed in poke before. This was literally fish, seaweed, onion, sauce, and rice. No other mixins. Simplicity at it's best.
Rey DiDonato
Absolutely best poke spot definitely worth the line. Menu easy to navigate, people are friendly and the fish is incredibly FRESH. After your order, food comes out fast. Small sit down patio area outside. Can't stress enough that it's worth the line standing. Great recommendations from staff for freshest daily fish if you ask. Loved the combo sauce of creamy sesame and spicy shoyu. Marlin could not have been any fresher.
corenzo wilkerson
Wow what a great place. They allow you the flexibility to customize and create your own poke. They have several types of fish from salmon tuna marlin and shrimp. Several sauce and rices and many types of toppings.
Llewellyn Stephens
There is usually a queue at lunchtime so you know it must be good. You pick the sauce - we chose spicy number 1 - you pick the size (medium) - you then get to select the fish (marlin) then you pick the rice. Friendly and really cheap ($20 for 2) even after the tip. We thoroughly enjoyed our bowls and will be back.
Della Lands
It was good when i was in Hawaii. The combination of the fresh ingredients makes the bowl so tasty. I was there around 4 PM it was not that long line. And it didn’t take time for each bowl even i was number eight by the receipt.
Akshay Kirtikar
Good poke but the fish was less attentively cut than other places I visited during my time in Honolulu - great location and fast service despite the long line. I got the Hawaiian salt with ahi tuna, reasonably priced as well
Hester Pamela
Amazing. Fresh. Line goes pretty quickly. Located few steps away from the beach and makes a nice healthy meal too! Friendly service I love it. I recommend you to try any of their daily specials. This picture is a Large bowl and a Medium.
Kristie
The poke bowl was quite good. The tuna and salmon mix was a little stringy. I wished the fish was slightly fresher. The sauce was very good and I like how you can customize all of your dishes. I added edamame and cucumber to my poke. They forgot to add tuna to my poke bowl and were very accommodating to fix their mistake when I brought my poke back to them.
Christina Chong
We ended up going to Maguro Spot three times during our stay as it was one of the better poke places we enjoyed. While the line can get long, it normally moves quick and is worth the wait. Fish was always super fresh and lots of sauces/toppings to customize your bowl to your desire. Also, they offer different sized bowls (S, M, L, XL) so you can choose depending how hungry you are.
Tom MacNabb
Been trying Hawaiian style poke bowls in the continuous 48, figured I had to try the authentic version. This was fantastic, the fish was fresh, the sushi rice was spot on!! Not sure I’ll be able to go back to eating this on the mainland now that I’ve experienced it here.
Joanna H Ye
It is a Japanese snack restaurant on Kuhio Ave street. There is no dining table, only a few small tables and chairs on the street. It's near wakiki beach, and there are Japanese cuisine, Hawaiian cuisine, seafood and Asian cuisine. It is also suitable for vegetarians and provides gluten-free food. There are quite a few people waiting in line. For those who are not familiar with Poke, it cuts diced raw fish into thin slices and serves with your choice of salad and seasonings, so it may not be suitable for everyone, and certainly not for me, although it is one of the main dishes of local Hawaiian cuisine. I chose poke shrimp bowl and brown rice. Plus wasabi, it's sweet, tender, crisp and delicious! The price is cheap, and the price of drinks is not expensive. The waiter was quick and enthusiastic, and I will visit this shop again!
Laurel Clare
Fresh poke - generous scoops of fish, too. Vibe is casual and most folks order for take away meal.
We saw lines vary from 15 ish people to no wait through out the afternoon. Go early if you want to try blue Marlin as they sell out.
James LaVela
Fresh, fast, and high quality. I ordered a Small bowl — only $6! — and found it the perfect size for a midday meal (they also offer Medium, Large, and XL). Beyond the bowls, I also recommend the poké style garlic shrimp. Don’t be surprised to see a line at lunchtime, but know that it moves quickly.
Teiyuri Aoshima
The poke here is bomb and also extremely well priced. We first ate across the street at five star poke which really should be three star poke and then came here to get better poke and we were not disappointed! Super fresh and not overly sauced so you can really taste the fish. We also got the spicy garlic shrimp which was unfortunately meh and not something I would get again. But poke was awesome
Sydney Bennett
great poke!!! amazing price for local poke. traditional and authentic. very close to the beach. line moves quickly. staff is super nice. all very good things :)
about $10-12 per medium bowl with toppings
the salmon and teriyaki sauce is amazing!!
i would come again!!
Matt Nesterenko
Some of the best poke I've ever had. Very fresh as well. My wife got the vegetable curry and it was just as amazing. Highly recommended and worth the long wait in line.
Kim Le
It was delicious and an amazing experience. I loved the addition of the white macadamia nuts as well as the tomatoes and the sauces for the fine. It was confusing for my friend to order here though she had trouble trying to understand how to order her food
Nina V
We have passed this place several days and times during our stay in Waikiki. Every time without fail there has been a queue around meal times. Right when it opens at 10am and around 3pm are the only times I’ve seen no line out the door. Today we went at 10:17 and picked up our take-away order around 10:30. Fresh fresh fresh fish. We’ve tried a number of restaurants and specialty shops. This was poke assembled to order and the chunks of fish were sizable and sashimi-grade. (No weird gristle or odd-butt-cut straggly pieces). Value for money = 5 stars, Taste = 5 stars
Ben Morrison
I had the salmon and ahi tuna combo bowl with sushi rice. Very fresh taste and high quality ingredients. I loved it. There was a line that took 15 minutes to reach the counter. The service was friendly and efficient. There is not much seating, so I would not recommend planning to dine there.
mike genova
Freshest tuna I've ever had from any restaurant. I had a spicy shoyu bowl with white rice, and added seaweed. It's very rare that you get to enjoy such fresh fish with that bouncy jello-like texture. Don't let the long line discourage you, it moves pretty fast. Also you can order ahead and pick up at the counter. 10 out of 10 for Poke!
Casey Bennett
If you want a really good poke bowl, look no further. Line is usually a little long, but moves quickly (there's nothing to cook). Huge variety of options, fresh fish and toppings.
Ian Bishop
This place was really good. I usually get spicy sauces back home and they are not very spicy at all. This spice was perfect for me but might be a bit much for some people. Ingredients were fresh, workers were nice and not much of a wait.
Timothy R
Better than average. They are heavy on the sauces compared to other places. Probably why a lot of people prefer this place. Not my personal preference though. Portions are fair for the price and overall quality is not bad. Dish had a nice presentation.
Sharif Matar
There can be a line but this spot is amazing. Fresh simple and delicious. Try spicy Hawaiian or the rainbow bowl specials. So ono!
Dorota Amanowicz
The food is tasty, but having tried poke basically everyday for 15 days, this was not the best one. You get, however, a good amount of good poke for a fair price. Miso was very good.
Jon Abulencia
No frills, straight up poke bowls. Great value for cost. My recommendation? All fish, brown rice, teriyaki + creamy sesame, then add toppings to match your taste. Knockout meal that'll leave you feeling great.
Isaac
Great poke at a great price right in Waikiki. Get the sushi rice (if available) and two small/medium bowls for the variety in sauces. Extra ikura/salmon roe for $3 really makes the flavors pop. Might run out of marlin and salmon later at night so visit early if that may be an issue. I waited 20 minutes in line but it was worth it given the location and freshness and flavor.
Hiro Fu
A popular poke restaurant in Waikiki that can satisfy even the smallest of appetites.
You can choose your own poke type, rice type, etc., for a high level of satisfaction.
K D
Not always the quickest, because the line is so long. But once you get to the front, and they take your order, the food comes out quick! So fresh and delicious. No seats. This is a To-go or takeaway spot. Our friends loved it too!
Mg 0
The poke was fine. The fish was fine. Service was good. For the price, tho, the 8 or 9 tiny pieces of fish (tuna, shrimp) on my poke salad was a pathetic amount. (Nice vegetable blend, and the side of brown rice was good, otherwise.) Also, it was swimming in sauce — I had to tip the container to not drink pure shoyu.
Jamie Doddle
This gem is so fresh! The ingredients are outstandingly delicious and not one dish was unappetizing. I would recommend Hawaiian Bowl as the rice topped with a generous amount of salty seaweed complements the fresh fish extremely well.
Nicolas Carion
Great poke, wide variety of sauces. They charge each topping individually, so if you want a basic rice + fish + sauce combination it can be very cheap (10$ for a medium bowl, which is a good quantity). On top of that, toppings are 50 cents each for the basic ones (edamame, garlic,...) and up to 2-3$ for the more fancy ones (eg avocado). Definitely a good spot!
C Montoro
Super fresh fish & delicious poke!
Staff is 🔝! Very kind, friendly & quite fast for the amount of people.
Totally worth the queue
zimmi zimmi
The Food was very delicios. I dicided for a large poke bowl. The amount of food was perfect.
You have to chose (for more details see the photo):
1. Which kind of fish
2. Which size of bowl
3. Which rice
4. Which sauce
5. Which topic (optinal)
K W
I’ve eaten here multiple times and every time it’s consistently good, fresh poke. The flavours are not over powering but still taste really good. I’ve gotten the Hawaiian poke and the ahi spicy shoyu. But you can go wrong whatever you get!
Jasmine Garcia
Fresh, flavorful and prepared very quickly! My husband and I got the Spicy Mayo poke bowl w blue marlin and tuna & the Hawaiian w a combination for the meat. We also picked up a passion fruit & guava juice 😋 …
Becky Nicholson
Delicious poke! We had the ahi, salmon, ikura, and marlin, all super fresh and delicious! The wasabi sauce is very spicy but tasty. There is a long line at peak hours (lunch/dinnertime) and sometimes they run out of ahi, so be sure to go early!
Jane Chung
It's very tight in there so be ready for a line. Recommend going when they open or near closing when the lunch or dinner rush is down. I did my own poke bowl ala carte and did salmon as my protein. All toppings are charged so be prepared for that before adding a bunch of additions to your custom bowl. Staff is super friendly. Salmon was a bit salty but overall good.
Ana Maria
So good that we went twice. The tuna poke was superb. Definitely recommended, great price too.
The line moves and once you order, the food comes out very quick.
Julia Gao
This is the best poke (or just fresh fish in general) place I’ve ever had! I had salmon and marlin, with brown rice, and wasabi shoyu(soy sauce). Definitely returning!
Nate Tagulao
My friends and I were walking down the street and saw a long line coming out of this place so naturally we had to give it a try! After a short wait, we got to order our food. The staff were all friendly and worked fast to get all the orders out!
I ordered the Hawaiian poke bowl and my friend got the tuna ikura bowl. I really enjoyed my bowl! I'm not really one for poke but this bowl had me craving another one! It had good salty flavor that paired well with the rice and veggies! They were also really generous with the sesame oil, which I am a huge fan of! I didnt try my buddy's tuna ikura bowl but he enjoyed it! It looked very pretty too!
After that first visit, we had gone back multiple times throughout our trip in Oahu! I highly recommend giving Maguro Spot a try! Also, don't plan to eat there, it's a small space! It's meant for takeout!
Kara Paul
Delicious poke bowl! My husband and I both loved the poke bowls. This was so much better than what I had at a different restaurant light night! So good! 🤤🤤🤤😍😍😍
Yanina Cher
Definitely something to try when visiting, the food os fresh just melts in your mouth. The smell is amazing. My only concern was that people in line were not keeping the desired distancing, some were mask- free, which didn’t concern me as much since the line is outside, but having someone breathing down your neck is not pleasant.
Alyssa Blalock
Amazing poke bowl. Worth the wait of the line. The line is really just for ordering, after you order your bowl is ready within a minute or so. Kind people, great service, great flavor!
martin redgrave
Excellent poke bowl! If there's a queue it moves very quickly. Great price for great food.
Boss Boss
Bought the medium rainbow bowl (with the combination of all the fishes and sushi rice) off the specials board for $10. Very delicious if you like a creamy sweet with a very mild spice. Definitely would come again. Overall I would give it a strong 7.1 out of 10.
(6= I would come if I’m hungry
7 = I would visit again
8 = I would recommend)
Grace Fraser
Very fresh spot for poke! It was our first time trying Marlin and we really enjoyed it. The wasabi shoyu wasn't as saucy as I would have liked, which kind of made the rice to poke ratio a bit off. But I would still recommend trying it out!
Lea
You can order online and they ARE OPEN SUNDAYS 1000-2030.
Very delicious poke and kind staff!!! Many options to choose from and make your own! I made my own with tuna and salmon, white rice, I added salmon roe (ikura) and cucumbers. I chose the house sauce. It was very very good. Great amount of fish and salmon roe.

The poke served taste delicious and is sold at the most reasonable price. The service was quick even though a long line was formed outside. I totally recommend this restaurant if you are in Waikiki
Esperanza Linares
It is cheap and convenient. It is more like the poke you can find anywhere else outside Hawaii, where you pick your toppings and the sauces. Their miso soup was good too.
Devon Braun
Fresh, high quality, well-prepared, delicious seafood. We all had poke bowls and they were exceptional.
Riley Lucas
Had the spicy mayo tuna poke salad. Tuna was fresh and wasnt fishy, however the poke lacked any actual flavour. I could not taste the mayo at all despite seeing it tossed in. The same thing with the gochujang (flavourwise it was super light). If anything the food was a three, I’ll give an extra 1 star for the excellent customer service and the affordability.
Matthew Hahn
The line is completely justified. Fresh fish and lightly oiled and salted Hawaiian poke seasoning over sushi rice. The x-large is reasonably priced and a full meal, even for a hungry man.
Polina Shulepina
Best poke bowl I have ever had! Sooo tasty, the guys are fast and you can mix&match it the best you like!
If I lived in Hawaii, that would be my everyday lunch!
Emily Irvine
Build your own poke bowls mmm so good. Everything was fresh and the staff is super nice. So delicious, if I lived here I’d go here for lunch every day. I got the rainbow bowl, salmon and tuna w spicy mayo and teriyaki, sushi rice, cucumber, green onion and edamame.
Artyom Khizantsyan
Good poke place, fresh fish, just the sauce they have on isn’t enough!
Fairly priced, nearby Waikiki beach, couple of blocks from my hotel.
Lines move quickly so it isn’t bad, friendly staff.
Stays open pretty late too which is nice.
Kyu Ri Lee
Tried their volcano poke bowl, and ahi tuna& blue marlin poke salad. Decent portion for the great price and everything tasted awesome! Will definitely come back!
Michael Colson
Is 10 stars possible? My realtor recommended this place as I’m renting an apartment across the street while here for a work assignment. I’ve sampled poke all over the city and this place takes the cake. Highly recommend the Poke salad as a lower carb, yet delicious meal. I will definitely be back.
Yanirah
Visited this spot multiple times during my stay in Waikiki. Very fresh and tasty!
Sometimes the line can be long but it’s worth the wait! That’s how you know it’s good…
Fion Lee
Good price for fresh poke! Might’ve picked the wrong sauce and toppings so it didn’t quite hit the spot for me. Will try again when the Q isn’t too long
Sayaka S
We were looking for a poke stop and shambled upon this place. The quality of fish, rice, flavor all good. They have lots of choices and combinations so it works for everyone. They also have different size option too. I got small and it was enough for my quick bite.
Andrew Numbers
Absolutely fire 🔥😩 The fish is fresh, the poke is a good price, and the guys are really nice. Highly recommend getting tuna and marlin poke with sriracha mayo and teriyaki sauce, topped with green onions and garlic. Thank me later …
Michael Yuan
Excellent value for poke with the ability to customize your protein, veggies and sauce. Craving poke and on a budget? Get it here! Though line ups can get quite crazy.
Walter Garff
The fish was fabulous, anoung the freshest I have ever had. the bowls are simple, didn't get much sauce, that was OK given the fish quality.
If the line is too long there is a decent Koren BBQ place around the corner.
The Boba frozen bar was an unexpected treat.
Paunix Kokopelli
Awesome place! There's always a line but they work super fast. Hidden gem because it is not in the main street. The owner gives you advise on how to create the perfect combination. We visited from Mexico and recommend it 100%
Veronica
Great place for a super fresh and cheap poke (prices from 6 $)
So happy to have found it :)
You can built up your fav poke
Great staff
Mahalo from the Italian couple
Dan B
Best Poke in the world. Ate here 4 times in 3 days. I have ordered pounds of poke everywhere I travel. These guys have the ultimate flavor! Eat here and be wrecked on other poke..
shawn jones
My fourth time eating here and I keep getting the same thing, large rainbow bowl, four fish, white rice. This time I added green onions as a topping which I really liked. I love the rainbow bowl but will likely try something else next time, but then again I thought I was going to try something new this time 😉. …
Maria Patricia Ruiz Pommier
Great poke bowl, you can make your own and choose you favorite ingredients. Everything fresh, they have different sizes. The price of a big bowl is around the 15$. Great fresh flavors.
Blaine Losier
Awesome Poke spot, very fresh and delicious. There is always a line up but it's worth the wait.
Eve Moore Lussu
Got this almost every day for lunch while I was in Waikiki! Never had POKE before but the guys there were so lovely in helping me choose and it was so fresh and delicious
Sandro Antao
It was good to try once. Fish was fresh. Portions do not match price. Do not get anything bigger than the large. Just more rice than anything
adi mart
During our visit, they ran out of marlin; salmon and shrimp were the only one's left. They serve good quality salmon. Spicy salmon was prepared really well.
Nica Policarpio
One of the better poke spots around the area! Very affordable, various portion sizes and topping options available. Love that there's a "poke only" option in case you wanted to skip the rice. Be prepared to wait in line, but it moves pretty quickly.

Excellent service, excellent food! It’s a small hidden gem in Waikiki! We saw this store during our walk and so glad we tried it. The ingredients were fresh even when they were just opened (10:30am) and the sushi rice was on point! 2 small pokes and a can of drink for $15, so worth it! If I ever go back to Honolulu, I’d definitely come back!
We had the salmon with wasabi shoyu and tuna with spicy mayo, I personally liked the wasabi shoyu better tho.

“Cheapest way of eating out in Hawaii”
I guess Maguro spot here is the best restaurant serving Poki in Hawaii. You must be filled within 10 dollars. Fresh various kind of raw fishes including Tuna in it. You can enjoy to customize the Poki as you like. I love this store!
Raymond Li
I went back to this place several time during my layover in Waikiki. Their Poke dishes are so good, it’s the best in the area.
M. Zest
Come early for lunch if you don't want to wait long. Fish is fresh and delicious, and super reasonably priced. A local fave, and it's easy to understand.
Lisa Xiao
This is definitely the best bang for your buck poke spot in Waikiki, in my opinion better than Off the Hook and way better than Ono. The fish is incredibly fresh and the addition of actual toppings makes this incredible. As if that wasn’t enough, the price is very affordable compared to other places. If there’s only one spot you can hit in Waikiki, I’d recommend this place.
Tore Magnus Wilhelmsen
This poke bowl is crazy delicious, fish is very fresh and the rice is superb.
Super fast preperation even with a small line. And it's priced nicely compared to rest of the island.
Would definitely go back 😊
Jacklyn Chua
Ordered a large salmon bowl with rainbow sauce (spicy mayo sauce + teriyaki sauce) for $14. The fish was fresh and the sauce okay - it wasn't amazing but not bad either. The serving was enough for me but probably not for most guys I know. Generally, the price was okay for the food, but definitely worth it for Waikiki Beach.
H
Wow, we were wondering how good it is because the lines are always long. We went at a sweet spot time around 2pm and only a few in line. We got a large rainbow with tuna and marlin, added seaweed and edamame. It's really good but strong flavor so you need to eat the poke with the rice it's on top of but so good and fresh and a nice kick of spice.
Jeffrey Morrison
Great place for Poke. Slightly of beaten path for Waikiki. Affordable. Really take out only, but have a few outside tables. Lots of pictures of menu items. Look for specials. Pick your bowl size, rice type, then fish (one or many). Finally pick sauces and vegetables (small additional cost per item). I got the Rainbow bowl, which had a selection of all fish on brown rice. It include teriyaki & spicy mayo for sauces. Regular (medium) bowl was perfect size. Delicious!
Preeya Brown
Just like most of the other reviews say, this is the best poke in the entire world. It’s super fresh and the flavours are amazing. We’ve already gone a handful of times since being in Honolulu. We did have an incident with one of our orders where it was made incorrectly, and we were met with quite a bit of pushback after we brought it up to the staff. The manger ended up calling us back and rectifying the issue a while after!
April Zhang
We live just a block away so it becomes our go to place if we want to have a quick meal. The fish is fresh and portion is reasonable. I don't think people can get the same food quality at a cheaper price in Waikiki. There is always a line outside the restaurant so the customer needs to br prepared for like 15 minutes waiting time.
Maria O King
Couple blocks from the beach. I tried the rainbow bowl and added octopus. 🐙 🌈🥣 So good! Too much rice for me even after I asked for very little rice, but still good. Cute spot to try fresh food. There are small tables outside if you choose to eat there, or walk a few blocks and enjoy it near the water.Would visit again. Enjoy. 👌🏻😊 …
Chantelle Brizzee
Unassuming little place, but probably the best poke we had on the island (including Ono Seafood which claims to be the best in Honolulu). Tried several bowls over our vacation and really loved everything. I love that you can customize the bowls; everything is super fresh and so flavorful. Food was so good I forgot to take a picture of it! This will be the first place I come back to when I visit Oahu again!
Curteis Roberts
I love the vibe of this place and the employees are so friendly and helpful. I totally recommend you make your own bowl it's cheaper as you get more food the large bowl was the same price and the medium. Ask for suggestions as they know what's best and there might be a que it's popular.
Wonton Noodle
A bit salty but tasted fresh. Bowl was a bit small in my opinion. This was $30USD including tips.
Mariel S
The Spicy squared sauce (spicy Mayo and shoyu) is on point. The tuna is so fresh, love this place
Seongjun Kim
Really great poke, recommend the rainbow sauce or the hawaiian. The fish tastes really good and the portions are generous. The price is also great, even after adding toppings and avocado. The line can look long but moves fast!
John Ebert
Super yummy poke shop. Flavors are delicious and you can customize your bowl to however you want it to taste. Everything is super fresh and is a great meal!
Andrea Li
Super fresh poke. Well priced - $6 for smallest and goes up in $4 increments. Miso soup and cold tofu salads also available and excellent in quality. Small area in the back with benches for you to sit and eat.
Passion Y (S)
Been to the restaurant 3 times. It was all delicious. I liked the menu with wasabi the best.
Scott O'Brien
Friendly service. Fresh fish. Good verity. Definitely better than anything ive had on the mainland. Might have to hit them again on my way back through. Definitely would go XL bowl next time!
Alicia McQuay
Maguro spot was amazing as always. Absolutely love how fresh everything is and how quick the line goes even if it looks long. I stop by here multiple times each trip and would eat here every day if I could. Favorite Poke spot in Waikiki!
Ro F
Checked out this spot and did not disappoint. This was the best Poke for sure! Had the blue marlin and tuna plus avocado, it was so fresh. I will definitely be back. There was a line but the flow went smooth and service was great!
Brendan Trinh
The rice was dry, hard and inconsistent. This was the first meal that I had after landing in Hawaii and I was looking forward to supposedly one of the best poke places in town. Coming in absolutely starved, my standards were already at a low bar. The redeeming feature of the meal was the fresh ahi poke (the seasoned raw fish itself). Shocking that the rice was a let down and made such a big impact to the experience of the meal! Hopefully they improve this in the future.
sammysandals
Have a lot of poke options back home in vancouver, but this place is easily just as good if not better. Great poke
Maria Patricia Ruiz
Great poke bowl, you can make your own and choose you favorite ingredients. Everything fresh, they have different sizes. The price of a big bowl is around the 15$. Great fresh flavors.
Thomas Branham
Excellent poke. Small establishment. Lines can get long quick. Limited outdoor seating. Suggest getting to go.
Philippe Andrew Biagtan
The quality of ingredients they use for their bowls is second to none. The sauces offered are flavorful yet you can still very much taste the fish. Great group of staff as well. Yuki's the man!
Ashly Yeo
It's a hole in the wall poke place with the freshest fish! The rice and spicy shoyu-sauce were made perfectly with the right amount of flavor. The salmon teriyaki and spicy garlic shrimp were authentically prepped and super delicious . The atmosphere at 11am was easy and laid back with a steady stream of the surfing crowd. Their service was quick but friendly.
branson elliott
My gf and I enjoyed this place. Really good poke! The fish was excellent and the prices are the best in town. Definitely the best value we’ve found while on vacation. There’s usually a line, but it moves fast.
Julie Lenhard
The line out the the door says it all! Delicious fresh poke bowls in the heart of Waikiki. Fresh fish and great sauces. So good, we ate there twice in 24 hours!
kyle azua
4 stars based on fish quality alone. This was some fresh stuff. However, I think that not having a bathroom, not having free water, and charging for seaweed salad as a premium topping to only give you the smallest amount means that this isn’t for everyone. Was about $18 for a large bowl after tax and tip, and took about 15minutes to get in line. Worth a short wait if you’re in the neighborhood.
S G
Great local place with delicious food. Tried poke and veggie bowl with creamy sesame sauce. I would highly recommended this place. Oh it gets busier in the evening and closes at 8.30pm.
IPHOne Gmail
Best poke at the wakiki beach- this place was super close to our hotel and we ate every night here. There is a wait around busy hours but worth it!
Marshall Robbins
So tasty and affordable. $20 here was a better meal than our $100 one the night before! Great service as well, helping me pick out what to get for my first poke.
Danny Yan
Cool spot to get poke. Saw a line up, so I’d thought I’d give it a go. Portions were small. Flavour was ok. Wasn’t as good as I expected.
Joie
Loved this unassuming, hole in the wall local spot for poke bowls. We got the spicy mayo and spicy shoyu and both were delicious. It’s definitely a good spot and a nice change from the touristy restaurants.
Gabriela Peres
I was a bit upset with the vegetarian options. They refused to make a bowl with no fish, even though they had all the ingredients. A bit weird.
The vegetarian bowl is pretty much a salad, which sounds way too simple.
I ended up eating the curry, which was good, but I went there for the poke…
Gilles L
Friendly staff and great selection of protein.
Some of the best bowls I’ve ever had.
Would definitely come back and recommend to friends and family if they’re vacationing in the area.
Béatrice Nguyen
Best poke and great price! I loved the rainbow bowl (daily special). Cool toppings to be added also. We found this gem on our last day !!
Jan Caro
One of the best poke bowls I have ever had. Pretty sure a lot of the locals go here. Came here everyday while visiting. Can't wait to gi back and eat here again!
Ben Y
Authentic. Fresh. Yummy. Bang for the buck.
Try rainbow sauce. With additional fish.
Jeremy Bronsch
Best place to make your own poke bowl and 5 variety of sizes too! Always a line up though, so be patient for great poke
Veronica Wong
I had the large spicy² tuna and salmon with white rice and added garlic, green onion and tobiko and had a small fish only wasabi tuna and salmon. The food was fresh and tasted delicious after a long day of exploring the north side. The line was long and we were worried that it would close right at 8:30 but the staff were so nice and made sure everyone in line got food even past closing. The fish was delicious, great portions and the sauce was tasty. Tobiko was a nice touch and overall both meals was less than $50. Highly recommend, and will definitely come again one more time on this trip
Shubidito Ahmed
Fresh poke that is definitely worth trying. The Marlin poke was new for us and very different from the classic salmon and tuna poke we’re used to trying. We came back here multiple times during our trip.
Thomas Wang
Good spot for poke. Copped a basic wasabi shoyu ahi bowl. It was good, but nothing amazing.
William Natkha
Best Poke spot! Their Blue Marlin and Tuna fish come fresh every morning from local fisherman! Yuki the owner a young guy is very kind and helpful. They have the best value and quality I’ve seen in Poke so I will keep coming back! Poke bowls range from s-xl small starting at $8 and xl at $18. Also make sure to hit the water afterwards and rent some boards from Moku Hawaii as they are the best shop and also are related to this poke spot! Mahalo Maguro Spot!
Alex
Tasty, no-frills hole-in-the-wall poke place. Compared to other options in Waikiki, this place has a great quality-cost ratio. This was our favorite place we got poke while we were in Waikiki.
Maria Meza
We've been here before and it's really good. This time around we ordered tuna and got salmon. I ordered a large bowl and was served a medium. We told them about the salmon and they corrected it, but shame on them for charging us for a large bowl and giving me a medium bowl with incorrect ingredients.
Joshua Yuan
Really yummy poke! Lots of sauce and fish variety to pick from, and white brown or sushi rice. Serve time is pretty fast given the demand for their foods. Note that they often will run out of supply, and may even have to close early, so try not to miss the closing time. I would eat here regularly!
Not related to Maguro Bros ("maguro" just means "tuna" apparently).
Christiana Joist
Maguro Spot is the best Poke-Bowl place in Waikiki! The staff is the most friendly i have ever experienced in Hawaii. After spending our first friday night in Waikiki we continued to go each friday night to eat our Poke Bowl at Maguro Spot. Highly recommend going there!
Miguel Hito
The best poke in Honolulu by far. Casual and fresh, super fresh! Favorite lunch/dinner spot, 1000% recommended!!!
Feedback: find a way to deliver, it would be perfect!
Mitch Patterson
I got all the fish rainbow style with cucumber and edamame. it was delicious and fast even with a line out the door
Michelle Tran
My husband and I went to Maguro Spot for a quick lunch and it did not disappoint! The line seems long but goes by incredibly quickly and the poke options are great. I was surprised to find marlin as a fish choice and it was super fresh.
Dejim Juang
The long lines that stretch around the corner is a good indicator on how good this place is. Fresh ingredients and simple menu. I got the tuna and marlin over brown rice with spicy mayo, green onions, and cucumbers.
Blue
I’m without exaggeration a poke freak, it was one of my main excitements about coming to HI,
I tried different places and nothing impressed me, like they were good but nothing I can’t eat out in Utah. Until I ended up at MAGURO!
Holy Molly this is a MUST GO if you like Poke!
I 100% recommend it, you do have to wait on a line but it’s totally worth it, I recommend you try a combination so you get to taste different types of fish, tuna is a must, salmon, marlin and IKURA! If you don’t mind pretty fishy flavors you gotta try the Ikura. Brown rice is delicious, I loved this place 🤍🙏🏽
T m
Great fresh poke. Reasonably priced. Smaller portion than used to but enough food to be satisfied. Will come back for the 3rd time.
Three Alaskan Blondies
Lives up to the hype! Absolutely delicious! Fresh and tasty. We’ll be back. 🤙🏼 …
adriana ponticelli
Best poke ever! Super delicious! Great price and good customer service. Love it! Super best l have had.
Alviana Maraj
Great poke perfect portion size and salmon! My only criticism is I would have liked more sauce. But other than that! Best poke for the money !
Alina Ma
Tried them twice and got the House and Hawaiian poke bowls. Once with brown rice and once with sushi rice, but it fell flat both times unfortunately. The ahi wasn't as nicely marinated as other spots we had tried. The brown rice was also hot which went poorly with the cold poke. I would have thought that the rice should be room temperature.
Tim Farkas
Busy little poke spot. Unfortunately they are very limited with gluten free options. The only thing the staff said was safe was the original Hawaiian style poke bowl or a veggie bowl. Yes they do have gluten free soy sauce but no longer have gluten free shoyu sauce. The spicy poke wasn’t gluten free either sadly. On a positive note the tuna was extremely fresh and all the ingredients were tasty! So knocking it one star for lack of options, however keeping it a 4 star rating because the quality of the bowl was fantastic.
Ferenc Hábermann
Delicious poke bowls which won't break the bank! We had dinner here few times during our stay in Waikiki. The place is ALWAYS busy with a varying length of queue on the street. It is worth the wait though.
Jan Dino Lim
Great Poke , don’t be scared off by the Q !
Asif Iqbal
First time trying Poke and they hit the spot. We had spicy mayo tuna. It's warm which is nice. 2 people can easily share a x-large size.
inez gorońska
I ate several times. Delicious, fresh. Highly recommend!
Sarah Cordrey
the poke here is amazing! this review is mostly to shout out to Tyler at the register: every time I come here, no matter how many people are in line, he is always incredibly friendly, warm, professional and is happy to help make suggestions or answer questions. incredible poke + amazing employees, this place does it right!
Kenjiro Yagi
Was expecting the usual $18-22 range for a poke bowl and then it was only $10 in 2023!? Decent amount of poke for the price and it was good!
The area is a bit scary / dirty looking, but now I see why there was a long line here. Make the trip. Totally worth it!
If I were closer, I'd stop by everyday.
Marc Egan Bolotano
Their DIY Poke bowls are all yummmmm. Long lines mostly during lunch and dinner. Outdoor dining is available. 👌🏻
Gian
We found this place by chance... And we are grateful for that! It's a small cosy place in the middle of Waikiki, the staff is kind and welcoming and the food is delicious. They mainly serve Poke. Everything they use is high quality and fresh, from the fish to the rice. If you are in Waikiki, that's the place to go. It's also very affordable compared to most of other restaurants!
Jordie Yow
Great price and quality of poke. Got a combo with house on sushi rice and was really pleased with it. Long lines but worth the wait. Pigeons are kinda annoying while you eat.
Terissa Morain
Amazing! Son and husbands first try for poke bowls and they were happily delighted. Flavor was full and tuna and marlin amazing!
Eric Hwang
Great Poke bowl delicious and affordable.
Sarah charles (Thewhereto)
An amazing little shop selling freshly made poke bowls. You can select your base, whether it be brown or white rice or salad, add your choice of salmon, tuna or mixed and then choose your sauce flavour. We liked the Hawaiian style but they were all so good. Decent servings, very fresh and super tasty. Only a small place with a few seats and it gets very busy but the service is fast. Prices are extremely reasonable too, we could have eaten here every day.
Andy Kho
Fast fresh poke. You pick size, sauce, fish, and toppings (extra $ for each topping). They only have tuna (a few different types) and salmon and both were fresh tasting. There's about half a dozen seats so mainly for takeout. The only real con is that their sizes are a bit smaller than I am accustomed to. A small is pretty tiny.
Gab S
Best poke I had on my trip, went back multiple times
Vanessa
First time trying Poke in Hawaii, unfortunately my instructions of no onion weren’t followed
Overall Poke was just okay
Jimmy Wang
For being in a very touristy area, this restaurant does outstanding, affordable poke. Did one bowl with a mix of spicy mayo and volcano sauce, and another bowl with spicy mayo and teriyaki. Both were great.
Andrew Mineo
Some of the best poke I've ever had and very fair priced. I've been almost every day I've been in Waikiki. Highly recommended.
Fish changes daily, they offer mixed fish for 1$ up charge and fair portions. Will continue to go back as long as im here and will miss it when i leave.
Nik Kontrimas
Yummy poke spot in Waikiki that has you build your own bowl. It has quite a variety of sauces, fish, vegetables and mix ins that are more long the lines of a classic poke bowl, rather than the varieties you can find at the numerous poke spots on the mainland. That said, the fish is very fresh and flavorful and makes this a good spot to eat poke
Latisha
Oh my goodness by far the best poke bowl yet! The customer service was amazing. I was greeted with a warm hello. In and out with no issues. Will be returning to this spot.
Alex Boerum
Best Poke in Hawaii. Fresh, lots of options, salmon, tuna, spicy Hawaiian sauce, seaweed salad, long line - order ahead or while in line.
Lisa Bregman
The best poke you’ll ever eat! Tons of gluten free options as well, which I was thrilled about. Staff are also super friendly and helpful if you aren’t sure what to get.
Lily Lee
Poke is super fresh...ordered Hawaiian sauce with avocado added in, and the spicy bowl too. Sooo good!
Shaved ice with mango, honeydew and Hawaiian punch flavors finished off the meal!
Customer service excellent! Friendly :)
Cindy Buell
Great poke, great price. Don’t let the line deter you, it moves pretty fast.
Claire Mai
After delay and long flight we checked into our hotel and decided to grab a bite. Friendly and chilled staff. Poke bowls yum! Coming back definitely!!!
Erin Griffin
Awesome walk up poke spot! Make your own bowl, spicy Hawaiian is amazing. GT
Quintin Coppola
Good poke spot in Waikiki. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because I thought the prices were a bit high...everything that goes on the bowl costs extra. But the fish and other ingredients were fresh.
Brett Chambers
Great place for poke bowls! Food was fresh and there are enough options to create something tasty. Pricing is outstanding for what you get. Highly recommend stopping by to create your own bowl; I had a Tuna bowl! Would definitely visit again.
雪
A Hongkonger solo traveler (actually i was here for business) visiting Honolulu kinda first time, my last time was decades ago. I enjoyed this little Poke spot very much. Arrived 30 mins before it closed, so it was pretty quiet. Needed to spend some time if u were not very familiar with what ingredients you can add in a poke. Staff were all friendly and willing to explain and give recommendations. I had tuna, sushi rice, avocado and edamame. Was amazing!!! The seasoning was so good, just a perfect combination of simple ingredients at its freshness and best! One of the thing i miss most of Hawaii!
And hi to the HKer staff who is very friendly and cheerful~ HKer ga yau!
cy
Now I know why people wait. Be coming back for more. Tuna salmon bowl.
Faiz H
The best poke bowl place in town! I've gone to the top 5 recommend ones here in Honolulu and I have to say I enjoyed this one the most. The tuna was fresh and the seasoning was top notch. Serving size might be a tad small but I looked past it once I tasted it. It was delicious and definitely worth its praise. Get the house special, or make your own. Lots of choices to choose from.
Stefano Viscuso
POKE! No longer is the day that I have nowhere to recommend people staying in Waikiki of a good spot to get poke! Run by the same Japanese family that owns the famous MOKU surf shop located right up towards the beach. This new small but excellent poke shop serves up fresh Ahi or Maguro in Japanese or Salmon. The flavors are plentiful, and on my first experience to Maguro Spot I got the Spicy Sesame and my girlfriend ate the spicy Ahi. Both were spectacular!
If there is one thing you should know about Japanese running a business that has to do with fish and rice, ... (well I'm sure it's pretty obvious... but I'll point it out anyway) they take it very seriously. Rice is the main staple of Japan and if you mess that up, say goodbye to your Japanese customers. So your base of rice is covered, check that one off the list and know that the one ingredient you weren't even thinking about is already getting umami flavors flowing before you even know it. OK, lets move on to the Ahi, which is the core of this dish. My girlfriend pointed out that even the shape and size of the poke was excellent, and not too big. The freshness of the Maguro really comes out to me when it's put on top of warm rice. I added avocado because I like that combo, and along with the spicy sesame it was super ONO! (delicious)
Oliver Huang
Very nice little place to get fresh tuna and salmon bowl with some add-on you can choose. Price is reasonable in Waikiki area compare to the McDonald’s breakfast meals cost you $8 dollars here. I had it several times during the stay at the nearby hotel Hyatt regency’s. Recommended!!
Pono Guerrero
These guys are great!!!! Love Kon San he makes really great Poke and is really friendly. He always takes care of The Beach Boys so if your looking for a surf lesson or to rent a surf board he knows where to go. They also speak Japanese here
Heather Allen
Great little place to shuffle through. Line moves at an ok pace, and friendly staff are at the end to take your order. Good crew, good food.
Amir Khan
Great poke. I ordered online, it was ready exactly when they said. Food was wonderful. Well seasoned, ice cold (as it should be) and decently priced. Will definitely get from here again.
Mikael Mengistu
Great poke bowls and really nice staff! I had the rainbow bowl and I really enjoyed it. Fair prices too for being so close to the beach. Definitely recommend this place
Shannen
Maguro Spot was amazing! Throughout our six day stay we ate there four times. I have gluten sensitivity and they were able to accommodate me and offer amazing poke bowls. There were two gluten free sauces to choose from ( I recommend the Hawaiian). The food was fresh, the customer service was amazing and the staff were knowledgeable about their menu. I would recommend this place to anyone with or without a gluten allergy. I have never had a better poke bowl than this!
Emma Swanson
Amazing Poke! Everything we tried was incredible and we went several days in a row! You have to eat here if you’re in the area
Lulala Chen
Best poke in Hawaii! It tastes fresh and not too salty, also comes in salad style so it’s a good takeout for snacking in the late evening!
Jarrett Dunn
I got Poke all over the island this week and this place was still the best. Had it 3 times. It is the only place I did more than once. Price, quality, and speed were great.
Caitlin Brooks
Happy to have found a poke place that offers vegetarian poke! My veggie bowl was fresh. I highly recommend the creamy sesame sauce- it was the perfect balance for the veggie bowl. The other members of my group said their ahi tasted fresh.
Convenient take out and friendly customer service.
Despite the long line, the staff was serving up poke bowls at a good pace.
Reasonably priced poke for this area. I highly recommend.
Tea Didikai
Fast and delicious, Maguro Spot is an affordable delicious meal perfect to take down into the beach. It's get casual, and your order is highly customizable: pick your rice, your dish, and add toppings which range from 50¢/each to $3.
David Jacobsen
Discovered this place several years ago... I'd never had poke bowl before... tried it, loved it, am forever hooked!!! I come here every time I come home
Nathaniel Chan
Great poke, very customizable and the servers are very nice. There's some outdoor seating but it's also along a busy street so expect to share
Bethany Nguyen
Great quality fish, loved the spicy shoyu and spicy mayo sauce in our poke bowl!
Elisabeth Lee
Cons:
1)Not cheap - $52 for 2 large Hawaiian style bowl with asparagus and avo + 1 spicy tuna Mayo med size only poke!
2)It smells like urine if you hangout too long around the store and decide to sit at the few outdoor seating area provided! The area should be hosed down!
3)Don’t order avocado as an add on! The avo was full of black fibers and yet tough, and cost 2 dollars (price for a whole avo) for a really tiny amount of avocado! I can’t emphasize enough how tiny it is!
Pros-
1) Big standout to the taste of their Hawaiian style poke! The sea salt bursts in your mouth pleasantly as you eat the Poke.
melynda tran
Poké was pretty tasty; however, there was a ton of onion. We went around 7pm and there was a line, but it moved pretty quickly. They did run out of a lot of stuff, though.
Mikael Lowe
Fresh poke, quick to get without lining up too long, fairly priced, near Waikiki Beach too. It's a great value buy overall. The spot itself is easy to miss and grungy looking, with not too many seats available.
louise th. jensen
One of the best places to get poke of all the Islands - great value for the amount. Can definitely recommend coming here and getting tuna with teriyaki or spicy mayo sauce
Maddie Wong
So so so good!! I literally just got my first bowl of poke tonight, and immediately had to write a review! The fish is so fresh and tender, the sauces are delicious, and the flavours all go so well together. The cashier was very helpful in telling me which fish was the freshest and which sauce I should try. The only thing I found kind of weird was paying extra for toppings, but I got two toppings for an extra dollar and still ended up paying what I would have had I got a pre made poke bowl from a grocery store (if not less). Absolutely recommend this place and will be back for sure!!
lalav mk
I went here twice during my stay in waikiki. The poke was really good and fresh. I liked to customize my poke by adding some extras. However, the customer service on my last visit was not so good. They got my order wrong - they didn’t add the fish I asked but instead added shrimps. Also I asked to put shoyu on the side and they tossed it in. Lastly I asked for additional spicy mayo sauce on the side and the cashier girl gave me literally half of a tiny container. When I asked her if she can fill up the container little bit more, she just said that she can’t. I felt bad because the extra sauce costs 50 cents. Just thought that they were very cheap about something small. I doubt coming back here because there’s so many options around with better customer service.
daniel Friedman
The best poke in Waikiki! The fish melts in your mouth, the sushi rice is delicious, and the sauces/toppings work perfectly in each bowl. The location is also great for eating in Waikiki after the beach. 10/10 highly recommend!
Lisa Powers
Best tuna bowl I've had in awhile. Plus fresh wasabi!! I'm in heaven. Will eat here again and again.
Genevieve Banks
Good poke bowl, nice flavour but I’d say the sushi rice and tuna could of been better. I recommend it but I’d probably go back to the other poke truck I’ve tried.
Messenger P
Great quality food. This was the Marlin. First time trying the Marlin and OMG so delicious. If you like tuna you will love Marlin as well.
Edgardo Valdez
Really good Pokes and affordable, you must visit the place while in Waikiki
Kimberly Atkins
Best poke bowls in Waikiki. Mixed at the moment. You can add the rice, fish, toppings and sauce you want at the moment! Super fresh fish, always top quality, awesome staff. I go every time I’m in Waikiki!!!
Gary Lewis
Solid spot, I got half salmon and half marlin with spicy Mayo and teriyaki. Nice to create your own bowl!
Jules G.
The right amount of rice, salmon, shrimp, ahi and marlin. No down side. The veggies were fresh! And not over-sauced. We went midday and there was no line, plenty of toppings options. We'll be back.
karrie Weddle (Sylestia)
This was some of the best poke I've had. Try the tuna Hawaiian style over sushi rice with edamame and macadamia nuts.
Sunny -
Fresh, tasty poke bowls! So good. They were made on the spot and tasted really fresh and great. Recommend them. You choose you rice, sashimi, toppings and sauce. Easy as. The staff were so nice here and Genuine, Japanese staff too. Loved it.
David Modiclan
Personally, I don't eat seafood, but my wife swears by this place, and has been excited about going back here for months. We went twice, and walked past it a couple other times, and the line was out the door and around the corner every time. Unfortunately, that does mean a bit of a wait, but that's because people can only pay so quickly, and everyone leaving sounded super happy about their food regardless of the wait. Definitely a place we'll be visiting again the next time we're on Oahu.
Cel Yu
The best poke in Waikiki, prices are reasonable.
Ian Mercier - Denver Metro Realtor
I've gone here a few times during my week long trip. Best place I have ever gotten for Poke Bowls!! The fish was so fresh and the mixture of ingredients worked so well together. Delish!
Zach Goodman
Great place. I think the medium size is good for one person. I like the “house” bowl. Great sauce
Mike L
I will keep this short. Moguro Spot is carry out only and the appearance might not be much. But, hands down they have the best Poke! Every time in HNL for a day or two I ensure I stop there...I can't get enough. Oh, and by the way, it's carry out only, but they do have two or three tables on the sidewalk if you so choose.
Mary Dutczak
We waited for almost hour in line late at night and by the time it was our time to order the food and a lot of items were sold out. We ordered the Al tuna with volcano sauce and it was very delicious. We passed by during the day time and line wasn’t bad as night time.
Tiffany
Great small place with many choices of poke style. You choose your fish (salmon or tuna), rice (white or brown) and sauce. You may also choose toppings to add to your poke. Onions and baby lettuce leaves are your base veggies. You can dine-in or order for takeout!
Erick Liu
Nice corner poke spot. Fresh fish that is super buttery. They offer the option to just get poke instead of the bowl (poke + rice) which I love.
Brian Ha
Great poke nearby Waikiki beach. Lines move quickly so it isn’t bad. Opens pretty late too which is nice.
Erica Schwarz
I got stood up on a date tonight and the only saving grace was the poke from magura spot. Unfortunately they didn't put the sauce on my poke. They lose a star. Otherwise it's delicious!
Grace zhou
Good taste comparing with the low price. Especially like the small portion which is only $7-$8. Can try anytime even not hungry, just as a perfect snack.
Jawad4lyfe2
Best Poke on the island!
Amazing food great service everyone is nice there and love it here! Always my go to for poke on this island
Hugh MacLeod
Fabulous poke. The options are wonderful. Sushi rice. Flavourful flavour choices. Very nice and efficient staff. I highly recommend this Poke spot. Om nom nom nom nom.
Sabrina Toebben
Their ingredients are so fresh! They are super quick and polite. We were there on vacation and I had to stop by twice. ❤️❤️
Ellie Davis
Worth the line! Man, this tasted so fresh and delicious. So glad we chose this spot for poke.
Leah Kwok
Great hidden spot for poke. Fresh & tasty poke at a fair price. Staff was friendly. Definitely a nice, light snack for a hot day.
Emily
Good but not the best poke on Oahu. Convenient since it’s within walking distance from the Waikiki hotels. The line takes a while to get through. Tables are outside if you want to eat there.
thomas mack
The spicy shoyu poke bowl here is really good, one of the best poke places in Honolulu. Get it with sushi rice and edemame and its perfect.
F. Shum
Had a couple different poke bowls, both were fresh and tasted good .

Maguro spot, a new only poke bowl shop in Waikiki. It’s located in Kuhio ave. 2 young employees fight to orders. I think they like “Def Tech” as Japanese singer duo.
Ginna Wallace
Stop what you're doing and go here now. You're looking for restaurants? Stop, go to this one. You're sitting on the bed? Stop, walk over here. Friendly service and the freshest fish, dope sauces and banging add ons. This is where the locals go. I stayed here 6 nights and ate here every one except they were closed Sunday.
julieta godoy
We've been eating here a lot lately because it's super fresh, delicious and has very good prices.
Beatriz GONZALO CARVAJAL
cheap and tasty poke for around 10$
Selia S Hernandez
Best spot in Waikiki. Came back a few times, always so satisfying.
James Borland
Excellent poke, and it has marlin which is pretty unique. This spot is always busy with a line out the door so try to get there before peak times.
Sophia Berry
Delicious poke bowl just off the main drag of Waikiki. Recommend for a quick and fresh lunch.
Darren Jang
It's the spot for poke. Choose your fish, your sauce, toppings, and rice or no rice. It's that simple yet so tasty fresh!
Micah Rodby
This was some of the best fish I’ve had in my life. It was so fresh and delicately seasoned. The quality is incredible. I am very particular about seafood. I was not disappointed.
Mathias Kanz
Fresh, delicious and tasty Poke a Bowl. We ate there every evening. All good.
BH Fan
Super fresh fish at this small carryout place with basically no seating. The salad (with greens and tofu instead of rice) costs a few dollars more than the poke bowls.
Nancy Beza
This is by far one of the best pokes I have had in my life. I had the Rainbow bowl, added seaweed and avocado and I regret not getting a larger portion.
Nicolas Farkas
Most of my reviews are for Celiacs (gluten free) Nice place to go for poke. However just one option is available for celiacs. That is the Hawaiian style. All they offer is a GF soy sauce no other sauces are GF. The tuna bowl was delicious with the added avocado.
Nils Wendel
Delicious poke! Excellent portions, fresh fish, and a wide selection of toppings.
ellen brand
Great spot for poke. Wait is usually 15 min or more but worth it. Shared large bowl.
Conner Loposky
Best place for poke on island. Probably the best in the world but I'll let you decide that.
Amelia Cai
Beautiful food! So tasty 😋! …
Tracey Yu-Makeyev
This was the poke place we went to almost everyday. The first day we went, the Blue Marlin was brought in fresh that day, and it was so tasty. Every bowl I had was so delicious and simple. I felt like I was able to taste how fresh the fish was. If you’re looking for good poke, I highly recommend Maguro Spot. The price is also not bad either and the rice is so good!
Sonya Bradski
This is a great restaurant because the poke salad is delicious and very reasonably priced. Be prepared to wait in line to get the food because this restaurant is so popular!
Grace Welton
I’ve eaten at most of the poke spots here in Waikiki and this instantly became a favorite. Fresh fish with many bowl options. Also the rice was cooked perfectly.
Sara
I got a small shrimp poke bowl with sushi rice, seaweed, garlic and sesame oil for around $7 and it was delicious. It's hard to find restaurants in Honolulu that offer small portion sizes in addition to having regular and large portion sizes. I was full after eating the small size and I was very happy with the food here. I went at a non-peak time of 3pm on a Monday and there was still a line out the door. The pictures online show a cute clean restaurant but it's not like that anymore. It's a hole in the wall and and the menu signs are crazy. I ordered the house #4 bowl but the cashier still asked me to specify each ingredient one by one so I'm not sure what the point of having signs with different numbers for their bowls is. Whatever though, the food was great and I will go back again. The cashier was moving so fast and he was very friendly with customers instead of being grumpy so I made sure to leave a tip. Food workers don't get paid much and any tip you give really adds up and makes a difference.
Eric Yoon
A convenient spot to grab a poke bowl at a reasonable price ! Fish was fresh and delicious !
Vanessa Punches
Wow. I was shocked at how amazing this place was! 10/10 would recommend. This was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Not to mention a great price. This was the rainbow bowl.
Aizhan
Very tasty, fresh and not expensive pokebowl. Recommend!

One of the best poke bowls I’ve ever had!!! I did some research before coming to Hawaii and this place got onto so many newspapers and articles. Luckily it was super close to our hotel (Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa.) I customized my bowl with tuna and salmon, sushi rice (way better than normal white rice), added some more toppings, and my favorite parts: the sauce. I asked the lady and she said Hawaiian sauce and soy sauce would go well with it, and that was what I get. I got both of the sauces on mine, and I’m speechless. I even put the bowl in the fridge overnight, and to my surprise, the rice was still soft and tasty (on the other hand, the bowl with white rice was pretty dry after a night in a fridge.) Overall, this is A MUST when visiting Hawaii, and you might cannot find a bowl that taste the same as this one.
V
2023 Edit:
Not sure what has happened but there is frequently a very long line, particularly around dinner time. I did wait one of the days I was in town, and while the bowl was decent it didn't have as much flavor as in the past. Usually there is less of a line around lunch.
Slightly confusing if you don't know what you're doing, but very tasty and very fresh ingredients. Visited multiple times during our visit to Waikiki.
Alana Strassfield
Went twice so far and will go back. Fish is very fresh. Happy they have a gluten free option. I don’t like that the rice is still warm and that it warms the poke a bit. For lunch the avocado wasn’t fresh and I wish they had just said they’re out. Nice and friendly stare.
Alex Hoffmeyer
I’m not a huge fish fan but when in Hawaii… for this not-big-on-fish guy I gotta say it was real good poke. I ordered the spicy mayo poke, which packed just the right amount of spice—not too hot, not too mild. Fairly inexpensive for good, flavorful poke. The line wasn’t too bad either, so if you’re looking for a quick lunch that hits the spot, check this unassuming, corner joint out.
Hanshi.Nancy Wu
Be early as the queue is pretty awesome!
Mizue Obara
We ordered 3 bowls and picked up tuna, salmon, and marline for each. They had varieties of sauces but my recommendation is house blend! The amount of sesame oil was perfect. There were many people waiting on the line, but the wait time was very short.
Lana Brown
I’d never tried Poke before but now I want to have it all the time. We had the house poke bowl with brown rice, tuna and added avocado. It’s absolutely delicious. We’ve had it everyday for lunch since being in Waikiki.
Definitely worth walking to this hidden gem in the back streets of Waikiki!!
Atha Mansoory
Quality fish, fresh, fast, and reasonably priced.
Viviana Corella
It was ok - I like other places better. I used to live here but I hadn’t been to this place yet. Now that I’m visiting I finally paid a visit but honestly, I prefer the fresh tuna poke bowl from Foodland. Portion was on the smaller side and the rice felt kinda dry. Unfortunate because I had read the great reviews.
Patrick Chan
Tried 2 times in my journey, Taste so good and wanna bring to my home place Hong Kong.
May I ?
Friendly staff! Local and enjoyable!
Rebecca Mckinney
Had my first poke bowl here, it was delicious and the staff was very helpful with deciding what to get.
Albert Chiang
Busy corner shop with fresh fish and a great house sauce. My go-to poke place that I have visited 5+ times now.
Paul Mueller
Probably the best Poke I've ever had. Highly recommend the Salmon w/ Spicy Mayo & Teriyaki, edamame and seaweed.
Frankie 4 Fingers
Had a poki bowl. It was delicious. Recommend if you're in town.
Ethyn Morain
They are very quick and nice. For a first time it’s amazing would prefer this for lunch or even dinner.
D Scott
Best poke we had while in Hawaii. Very reasonably priced, excellent options, and good portions. The flavor and freshness is incredible. Often a line, but it moves quickly. Highly recommended. I think we ate here 3 times in a week.
Sofía Franco
This place has amazing service! The people are nice, it comes fast, the food is delicious, and there is outdoor seating.
Valerie B
Great quality fish, loved the seafood mix poke.
Tatsiana Nelipovich
Very fresh fish
You can choose any size from 8$ and more
Open on SUNDAY !
Stuart Taylor
Great seafood that’s not insanely expensive
S.K. Hislop Jr.
This here is a $19 extra-large bowl 🥣 of Sushi Rice, Salmon and Shrimp with Garlic and Wasabi Sauce. Service and Food is great.
Jennifer Treyger
We had our first poke bowl here, and it didn't disappoint. Great customer service, but even better food!
Alexandria Strother
Tasty poke. Be prepared for a 30-40 minute wait if the line is much out of the building. They start running out of certain types of fish / rice by 7:30.
Joseph Nguyen
Long line BUT so worth the wait. My poke bowl was amazing and so worth the price! Mahalo!
Carlos Rivera
Very good flavor, all fish seems really fresh
Rocio Farias
Had the fish of the day with tuna mix, this was the best Poke! Will def return.
J Chow
Poke? Go here! Inexpensive, and super tasty! The small bowl is as low as $5!
Rainbows & Hot Fudge
This place is going on my list for every future visit to Honolulu. Since it’s made to order, I was able to have my Poke without onions and sesame which is a really big deal! They were accommodating and the food is delicious! I can’t wait to go back.
Diana Bui
One of the best poke spots! Fish was super fresh and the seasonings/flavouring was spot on. Would highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed! Thanks Yuki for taking care of us and providing great recommendations, we will definitely be back the next time we visit!
Emilia Liu
A very reasonable price for the great fresh poke bowl. The house is my favorite
Crystal Kranz
Their poke bowls are so good and fresh! I went here maybe 3 times in the few days I was in Waikiki. It's well worth waiting in the small line for one of their delicious bowls.
J D
Shrimp and blue Marlin with teriyaki and spicy Mayo. Amazing!
Aracely Zea
I was craving poke and found this around the corner from my hotel. Tuna bowl was bomb!! Wish I would have gotten a bigger bowl!
Martin
Hidden gem. Mouth watering customized poke bowls in a cozy quaint environment. Best priced and best tasting poke around!
Jon Stinson
Great place!!! Plenty of options including vegetarian for my wife. There was a line even when it said no wait. Worth the wait!!!
John D
Line to order was out the door but they moved people pretty quickly. Mixing fish was a good recommendation.
jenni fromtheblock
wow this is the best poke ever ! compared to other places i’ve tried, the raw onions and salad really add more texture to the dish, not to mention sushi rice as an option and fresh seafood ! would recommend
bellamonique
Tuna Poke bowl with seaweed and Macadamia.
Delicious! We bought last year and this was our second time.
William Watson
Counter staff was extremely friendly and the poke bowl was delicious and a very fair price!
Emily Chen
Well, fresh fishes and my husband loves it 😄
Angelina Campbell
Fantastic! Great portions and good prices. The crew are awesome 😎
R
LOVED THIS PLACE!!! Was walking distance from our hotel and we went a few times. Worth the wait, if there is a line. Quality cuts and no gross fish pieces like other poke places!
Charles Ihle
This place is amazing. They get fresh fish everyday, and when they sell out, that's it for the day. Their sauces are on point. Their extras like avacado are fresh and you get a lot for what you pay. This is probably the best poke place in Waikiki and I say that after trying over a dozen places poke in the area.
Melanie Sabbagh
Delicious poke bowls at affordable price. I'm a vegetarian so I always take the veggie bowl which is filled with fresh greens and tofu (highly recommend the creamy sesame sauce!). My husband has tried other fish bowls. Everything has been delicious and fresh. Highly recommend!
David Lee
Really good spot. Quick service, tasty, can't go wrong. I chose an XL Marlin bowl with Hawaiian sauce and seaweed and sushi rice. This was my first exposure to "Hawaiian sauce" on poke. It wasn't really a sauce, at least there wasn't any visibly. It was very salty (but tasty). The seaweed wasn't the usual seaweed, but more of a sprout. Sushi rice was decent.
I would definitely try it again, but I would explore other sauces, opt to do the combination instead of the Marlin, and do white rice instead of sushi rice.
Alyssa Jane
Place was amazing and fresh! Best poke I’ve ever had hands down
Emily B
This place always has a line out the door during dinner hours, so I knew I had to try their poke! The rainbow bowl was to die for! Going back before I leave the island! :)
Fery Suryadi
Good spot for poke bowl before playing in Waikiki beach
Shawn
Do not be discouraged by the line. I came here for a week long vacation, I tried multiple food places. This place was hands down my favorite. It has delicious food, good prices, fast moving lines, the food gets prepared fast, there is even sitting available outside. I had no complaints, and I don't even like seafood that much. The owner of this place should be very proud.
Yoon Soo Park
Solid poke for take out. Range of flavors and fresh poke!
Maria T
Amazing poke! We came back nearly every day since discovering this place - great value/cheap for Hawaii, fresh meal with amazing taste. Happy for this discovery! We would get medium bowl with #9 creamy sesame salmon/sushi rice, sooo good, I am salivating while describing it. Would definitely recommend! If you like sushi/poke you will not regret eating here! One table with 2 seats available outside to enjoy your meal.
Liliya Aronson
Highly recommend for an experience of a real Hawaiian poké. Try blue marlin for an unusual choice with your mix. Very high quality, especially for the price. Very limited outdoor sitting as it is quite popular.
Doug Cress
Very good food. Very quick service. Didn't have to wait in line very long and on Waikiki, that is a big deal. There are several different options and the fish can be combined in mix bowels so you don't have to pick. Prices were very reasonable too. It is a great spot to pick up food and then walk to the beach and eat. My wife and I really enjoyed eating there.
Ralf Erz
This one hits the spot if you like poke bowls. I personally liked the spicy^2 dressing.
We tried both Tuna and Marlin and they both were excellent.
This place gets pretty busy but as we found out later, they allow ordering directly from Instagram.
Chuck Williams
Delicious simple flavors. Fresh fish. I hear it's gets rather busy and big lines. We happened to get there with no line at all.
David H
Visited for a quick dinner. Enthusiastic service, great quality fish, good flavor and portion size.
Kurman Kawaii
It’s ok.
Good customer service and fast poke preparation
Rice tasted wired/ undercooked
Mark Glenesk
Enjoyed the Large vegetable bowl with tofu, asparagus with the Hawaiian sauce.
Lucy Lee
Tuna and blue marine was super fresh. It’s tasty and I liked the resonable price.
Tony Flores
Aloha. My sister who lives here told us about this "Spot". We walked up from a few blocks from the beach. We stood in line which moved fast. Three folks working hard. They were like watching a fast pace relay team. We picked an XL, all four seafood, brown rice, all the extras and a creamy sesame sauce.
This was an amazing poke meal.
It was GREAT.
Thank you for keeping it real and fresh.
Pote Pothongsunan
Fresh ahi daily. Really great variety of “dressing”. I really enjoyed the Hawaiian style ahi poke multiple times, especially with avocado.
Update:March 2020. Still great. Busier. Avocado also got more expensive. The medium ahi bowl Hawaiian style is still awesome. I still don’t get why people come to Hawaii and order salmon. Oh well. I am having my seventh bowl in the last eight days.
Theresa Lima
Best poke bowls ever!! I chose a combo of fish, spicy mayo & teriyaki sauces, and all the fixings. SOOO good! 😋 They're quick, helpful with suggestions and always run out so get yours quick!
Mae Wagstaff
Three words, Yuki is Awesome!! I was compelled to write this review because the costumer service that he gave to my husband and I during our trip to Honolulu was above and beyond! He is definitely the best part of Maguro Spot. We literally went back almost every day because of him and the delicious poke. He offered wonderful suggestions on what we should try as we were fairly new to poke. We both enjoyed our bowls thanks to him. Yuki is the perfect example of how someone should treat their customers. I was thoroughly impressed with his friendliness and willingness to ensure that we enjoyed our food every time. Lord willing, we will be back whenever we return. Thank you Yuki!!!
Jordi Mulders
Nice poke! Ask the people working there for recommendations. Worked out well for me!
Steph X
The fish is so fresh and the portion is generous given its price! We tried the Hawaiian and double spicy mayo and Hawaii, and both were amazing. Best poke place!
Lucy Luo
Great poke place. Amazed!!! Visited three times in the past two days lol
Alana Muse
Everything is so fresh and tasty. They are almost always busy but still quick enough for me to not mind the long line.
Logan H
Better poke than Poke Bar, but the restaurant itself doesn’t look as nice. The food was worth it though.
Craig Yen
Outdoor dining. So many options to choose from! Fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced.
Ching Nei Haru
They got the best poke bowl in the town! Decent price with great food! I really like how they offer 3 different size of bowls, and customize the sauce and topping. There’s a hidden menu that you can choose mixed fish instead just ahi or salmon, which is way better and including day special fish!
Alex Gysi
Excellent and fresh fish poky bowl. Can be busy at lunch but we'll worth waiting, food very good quality. Can recommend seaweed as ad on.
Kast Kooper
Delicious poke for a good price
Jean-Christophe Fillion-Robin
After the last session and an hour before heading the airport, stopping by Maguro Spot was all we needed to recharge.
The Honest Traveler Ed
The rainbow bowl is fabulous.
The wait time is crazy at this place but it actually worths it.
One of the best poke bowls if not THE best we have had on the island.
Everybody talks about foodland poke but if you try this one. You will be pleasantly surprised.
The staff is very energetic and attractive.
William Wong
This Poke restaurant is better than other Poke restaurants outside of Hawaii that I've tried so far, because simply it originated here in Hawaii and ingredient quality. Fish was fresh and orders are customizable. My "Spicy^2" order was delicious.
Brandon Pappas
Incredible poke. This was our favorite meal during our time in Waikiki
Rob Kimmel
Delicious poke bowls, reasonable prices!
Kristella Tamez
Had to get poke from this place twice during my trip and wish I could’ve had it more. I’m not sure if I just went at the right time but I never had to wait more than 10 mins from the time I got in line to when I received my food. I had the Rainbow bowl both times and it did not disappoint
Xing Liu
Most fresh poke I ever had, also with a balanced price.
Ally Snyder
Inexpensive and tastes amazing. The menu has lots of options but is not overwhelming and it all tastes fresh.
R S
Perfect place for Poke! Easy to order and add what you really want. The staff there is super nice and friendly! Also they are very fast at preparing your order so if you see a line outside it will go away quick!
Bill Raddatz
The spicy Hawaiian with sushi and mixed seafood was very good.
I was in and out with my order in only a couple minutes. There's seating available after you exit the restaurant to the left.
Kenneth Tat Ngai
It was about 30 mins before closing, standing in line. The manager came out and talk to every individual in line that they are about to sell out and I happened to be the last person before all the poke is gone. So I stayed in line. He came out the second time and said there's only shrimp left. I was kind of disappointed but I still want to try them because of their great reviews. He did a great job communicating with all of the customers. At the end, he offered something to make up the disappoinment. Great customer service! And the food taste great!!!! Will come back for sure
Rock da spot
Totally loved the convenience of grabbing a bowl while strolling to the beach. Quick service. Literally walk in and order, by the time I tapped my payment, my order was ready. Didn't lose any momentum, by standing around waiting. Next time I go back for sure will visit. I recommend 100%
Jesus Estrada
The place is popular. Mostly takeout, limited seating. People seem to like it.
John
Best poke on the island, fresh fish, amazing sauces, and nice staff
Sarah
Loved this place and was so sad that we only found it on our last day. By far the best Poke bowl we ate on Oahu. The young owner was super enthusiastic and helpful. It is definitely more of a hole in the wall with just a couple of tables on the sidewalk. However, it is a short walk from the beautiful beaches so buy to go and walk to the beach! Highly recommend.
Nivi Shaham
Seriously the most incredible poke you will ever have. I’ve never had more tender fish, better sauced up poke or fresher toppings. If you’re in Waikiki you have to stop here. We’ve come twice already in 4 days, and will likely come two more times!
Marck Banagan
Fresh and delicious!! I’ll be here every time I’m at Waikiki!
Junyan Lee
Food is very fresh . Items started to be sold out from 7pm to make sure everything is fresh. I ordered combination with Creamy sesame and Wasabi. It is tasty but very salty.
Rachelle Castro
Great poké spot! Fresh fish and toppings. Be prepared for a lineup.
Brad Masterton
Best poke I have ever had, Had salmon with avocado, asparagus, edamameand Hawaiian sauce. Was phenomenal
Leonardo Ramos
this place is amazing. very small on the corner , but the food is phenomenal. you need to check it out if you are in Honolulú. I'm gonna be back to try more of the menu l.
Dan Steif
OMG so good. We had (and they were all delicious)!
Tuna and salmon mix, L, white rice, spicy squared special (which is spicy Mayo and spicy shoyu), green onions and ikura
Salmon Ikura bowl. L. Sushi rice. Green onion. Seaweed. Tobiko. Wasabi.
Tuna, L, sushi rice, wasabi sauce, seaweed, ikura
Tuna + salmon, Spicy mayo + terryaki, L, sushi rice, cucumber, seaweed, garlic, green onion, tobico
Guy Currier
Simple but diverse, fast, inexpensive, fresh, delicious. At 1:00 pm on a Saturday, the wait was 10 minutes. Not especially spicy if that’s your jam, but otherwise quite tasty from the fish to the sauce to the toppings
Alexander Vallecillo
Delicious Poke spot you must check out on Oahu!
Their new Poke Bowl Prices are:
Small $8
Medium $10
Large $14
XLarge $18
They still have $2 Miso Soup which is a steal too!
S Song
By far the best poke I've ever had and believe me, I've had a ton of poke all over the states.
What I can not stand is poke that is over soy sauced so that it hides the poor quality of fish. This place marinates the fish to perfection, giving it just the right balance. The wasabi level is also spot on unlike other places that think it's amusing to make the diner's nostrils explode for no good reason. The sushi rice is also amazing and made perfectly al dente.
100% recommend this place if you care about quality over ambiance.
Ricky Roro
fish is really good, really fresh, and there's always a line out the door so you know it's good! the guys did a great job preparing my meal.
Fernando Antonio Lopez Jimenez
I love this spot in Honolulu, the food are amazing, the price are perfect, the quality are fresh, and excelent products.
Alexander Mickle
We always get here at or past close. This is the kind of place that stays open if there's a line, and if they still have supplies to cook with.
We've watched them serve food until they're empty. And even with their last bowl made on the last ingredients, it's still one of the best places to eat, poke, or otherwise, in Waikiki.
I can only imagine what it's like to eat here earlier in the day. If you don't check this place out while you're in Waikiki and you've never had poke but like Sushi, or especially if you like poke, then you're doing yourself a disservice.
Go there!
Alex Dunnett
Great poke joint. Quality fish. Fresh.
David Nicol
Had the spicy Hawaiian poke bowl, delicious and great value too. Great little take away spot.
Jon Sewell
So stupid delicious. My girlfriend and I were hesitant due to the amount of overly tourist-y places around that area, but it was one of our favourite meals in Hawaii. Immediately wanted to go back.
TRY IT
Todd Bauer
When visiting the Island, this place was recommended. I can't tell you how amazing this Poke was. It was the best Poke my family has ever had.
Ebie Ross
Extremely fresh and delicious. Expect a line out the door but worth it!
Joel Weixel
Great food, fast service. The poke bowls are amazing!
Shelley K Booker
Allow this picture to demonstrate the culinary sushi brilliance of MaguroSpot 🙏🏽 #Mahalo …
Lauren Quest
Delicious poke! Customize your own bowl
Katherine
Delicious poke, but the line is because they take a while. Definitely worth a stop though. They’ll even let you buy it without the rice if you want.
C
The food tastes really fresh!
Frank Williams
Yuki and his team do an outstanding job in the food industry
BellaLuna Price
Great flavor, the warm rice with cool smooth refreshing fish definitely hit the spot. Their soda drinks are only $1. Poke is a bit on the salty side but good flavor, sauce, and ingredients. You can order their signature bowls or create your own choosing from tuna and salmon. Medium bowl is $8.50.
Mark Romano
Best POKE I have ever had. Legit. I had it 4 times in a 6 day stay in Waikiki. Its not on the main street - which is a good thing. It is a block behind the Hyatt - do yourself a favor and find it, and enjoy!
Tania Inigo
Great little place to grab a quick bite. Prices are great and combinations are endless!
Nikolay Dimitrov
Super fresh tuna and merlin! Best poke in Waikiki.
K C
Excellent poke…….fresh, plentiful, and a nice variety of dishes to choose from. The only place we have been to twice and there will definitely be at least one more visit.
Milica Galic Radovic
OMG, first Poke in my life and it was soo great we needed to come back again, now we are eating only poke till the end of our vacation 😅 good prices, good fish, every recommendation 👌👌 …
Rafael Sant'Anna
Very good poke, they have tuna, salmon, shrimp and marlin. I had tuna with spicy mayo, it was good but mayo was not spicy enough. I had the marlin with the spicy soy, it was very good. No pictures, I ate both before I came back to the hotel.
Desiree J.
This place made me smile from the inside out! Delicious, fresh Poke and amazing staff! Had the Rainbow Bowl Mix, added octopus & white rice! Great Miso soup, too!
I'm going to Maguro Spot everyday I'm here in Waikiki for sure!
Kee-Hyun Gweon
Awesome poke and very reasonable price! $5 for small, $8 for medium...
Megan
Seriously the best poke I’ve tasted in my whole life. I’ll dream about it for a long time !
