Gorgeous day for some outdoor dining! Shout out to Max Burger West Hartford for the awesome lunch. Started with a rich creamy perfectly seasoned cup of broccoli and cheese soup. Had the Caesar salad with the addition of salmon grilled to perfection yes the skin was crispy! My hubby had the cauliflower tacos he proclaimed them delicious extra points for the vegan chipotle Mayo I admit I swiped some of his rice extremely flavorful. Service on point as always

Max Burger is a staple of West Hartford center, and we have never been disappointed. The loaded tots are everything you’d want in an appetizer and is a not miss item. I had the spicy mother clucker for the first time on our most recent visit and it was outstanding. Their burgers are always top notch. Onion rings are freshly prepared as our their amazing truffle fries that are served with a delicious garlic aioli. Highly recommend.

I stopped in for lunch at Max Burger, it wasn't too busy, our waiter was really nice, and seem confident even though he was in training. Thanks Sosh for being attentive, cordial and knowledgeable. The food was good, parking was easy. The Pineapple princess drink was good

Service: Staff is awful almost robotic they made us feel uncomfortable our waitress was Rebbekah and I almost felt like she was high or something she wouldn’t really look at us we asked for napkins and she just dropped them on the table and kept walking, the same with the bill. Walking in the girls in the front were just staring, it almost felt like they were racist to be honest we were the only two Hispanic girls there! We went during lunch time on a Friday and it was very busy which we did not mind but just a heads up for the people reading this review! Food: Definitely get a burger if you are eating here they are delicious, I just wish my French fries were crunchier but that’s personal preference! The nachos for an appetizer are a must they are delicious! My friend was not a fan of their coleslaw.

The Burger War has a new contender!! Max Burger definitely has quite a few tasty choices and our entire table was complimenting the burgers! We were greeted quickly and immediately sat. Our server was fantastic, friendly, and efficient. The only reason for the 3-Star atmosphere is because there was an elderly lady (manager perhaps???) who kept coming to our table saying "Boo." The 1st time was cute, like ha-ha-ha sweet little old lady being friendly. However, by the 4th and 5th time before we even got our food it had turned obnoxious and kind of creepy. She was doing this to multiple other tables and those guests were shaking their heads and shrugging their shoulders after the humor was lost on them, too. Other than that, this was a great burger experience.

Texican Burger was juicy with good flavor! Fries were just okay but there was a Chipotle jalapeño dipping sauce that came with the burger which was delicious. I also enjoyed the atmosphere as there was always something to look at while eating.

Tasty flavorful burgers with a solid variety. A big variety of sides and starters to suit every taste. Mix and match and split with friends to try a variety. Highly recommended!! Update: the grilled cheese on sourdough was absolutely phenomenal. Sweet potato fries definitely the way to go!!

Now is the time to enjoy the outdoor patio. Oh yeah, I should mention the food too. If its a burger you want… look no further in the Center. Perfectly done as ordered and very tasty. I tend to like juicy burgers and this one was not too drippy - although, the bun was one-bite soggy on the underside. Coleslaw side was ok and had a distinctive flavor of some far-away spice. Don’t get me wrong, I’d get it again. One thing I wouldn’t miss… the tater tots. Perfect blending of bacon, chives, cheese, and sour cream. The app came out piping hot and was gone before it cooled down. Wash it down with a G-bot (on tap and in the correct glass) and you’ll be back before winter sets in.

The burger was good, but not great. I ordered a medium cooked patty and it was all pink. The hostess told us it would be a 45 minute wait, and we waited 1.5 hours. We would not have waited if we knew it would be that long from the beginning, so maybe they should figure that system out better so they don't grossly underestimate wait times and leave us hanging. We got a free appetizer for the trouble, but had to then remind them that it was comped once we got our receipt. a poor experience for somewhere I had higher hopes for.

Went there for dinner and drinks with my fiancée Saturday night. Nice atmosphere, the food (burger and fries) was ok, nothing special. The cocktails were good. I know it’s a busy spot, but we did feel like the waitress was rushing us. You’re really paying to eat in (just off) West Hartford Center but the food is not quality for the price.

The place is always packed and there's a good reason for it. Our server was awesome and the food was great. I got the tuna burger which was wonderfully prepared. The burgers were so good all conversation stopped for a few minutes 😂

This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I wanted this to be special. And it had so much potential. I started off with the pulled pork spring rolls. They had great flavor but the outside was beautifully crisp in some parts and soggy in others. I also had the blackjack burger. The burger itself was beautifully cooked, great flavor, and really enhanced by the onions. But the bun was soggy and falling apart. And all of this was within two minutes of receiving my order. Same with the fries. They looked great but were very soggy. The girls I dealt with were outstanding, friendly and personable. On a scale of 0-10 I would rate this 7.4.

Max burger is located right off Lasalle Rd in West Hartford center. Great location we can ride our electric bikes to. Typically we order a salad and burgers (not pictured) This time around we very much enjoyed the Santa fe salad, the diced cumin sweet potatoe adds the perfect balance of flavor. Next to the salad is the Cease & Desist Sangria featuring; rose`, peach puree, cranberry vodka & peach liqueur. I love sangria but this one was a bit too sweet for my liking, still good. Great presentation on the salad and drink. The burger on the other hand is always a hit or miss here. This time around we ordered two classics cooked medium, they came out basically burnt and the sweet potatoe fries were overcooked. Still a tasty burger though! Good service, always a decent sized crowed. Expect to pay west hartford prices here. We love the max chain, try out some of their other locations, Max downtown, Max fish, etc.

My tater tots were the best I’ve ever had!! It was like Mac and cheese but instead did Mac it was tater tots! Just tater tots in an ooey gooey cheese! Definitely worth it! Chicken soup also awesome! My burger sucked! I was so disappointing! I got the whiskey burger and I just didn’t like it! The burger was black on the outside med well on the inside! The patty had no flavor! It was just disappointing! Like burnt and boring 🤷🏻‍♀️ I didn’t like it! But I’d go back again for sure for the tater tots!

The burger itself was good. It is juicey and flavourful. Some of the ingredients on one of the burgers (Texican) we omitted in our order (Chipotle-jalapeno aioli). We also ordered the All American with American cheese. It was perfect. Now each burger comes with the most perfect fries ever. Fried in canola oil until golden brown and tossed in what I believe is sea salt. I love fries but so many places use peanut oil and I carry an epipen because of nut allergies so I can't enjoy them. They did not taste greasy but light and well cooked. I did not care for the small cup of some white sauce that came with them though. It started out tasting like a ranch dressing but turned way to tangy in my mouth. A side of max sauce with those fries would have been beyond incredible. The sweet pickles they also gave on the side were interesting. Sweet and Salty. The waitress was friendly and we were asked right away once entering where we prefer to sit. Being a delightful day we chose to get some needed vitamin D and were seated on their pleasant patio. A great experience. Good food. Keep up the excellent job! We will be back.

Burger was done to perfection (medium) with plenty of mushroom and caramelized onion. Fries were great and tried a blueberry cider. Service was good, but was after the lunch rush, so not busy either. Worth a stop if in the area.

Great drinks! I forget the name of the one i had but it was sweet and tasty! Burger was cooked to my liking, it was medium rare. Burger bun was soft. Cheese was melted pretty well. French fries had the right amount of flavor. we also had the sloppy Joe nachos. Tasted just like sloppy Joe's with fresh pico and fresh jalapeños on top! Would recommend those nachos.

Honestly the best food at the table was the truffle tater tots. I got the steak house burger and it was bland, which was surprising considering it had delicious bacon (in chunks like pork belly) as a topping... But still desperately needed seasoning. My partner got the double burger and said the same. Probably won't go back. That said, at least it was cooked to the right temp which is better than most restaurants manage. The best part of the meal was the service; the wait staff was pleasant, accommodating, and on top on their tables.

Truly one of the best burgers I've ever had. We've only been able to eat here in person once because of COVID, a lack of parking, and the fact that they are always so busy that it can be a long wait. Service was good and eating outside is lovely on a nice day. We've had several meals delivered and they were always excellent. This is highly subjective, but I'd prefer a crisper fry than they serve. If you're not in the mood for a burger, try the grilled cheese - also top notch.

Steak house burger is pricey but incredibly flavorful: waygu beef, cheddar fondue, candied bacon ... amazing. The Bacon Lollipops (delivered to us mistakenly ... a happy accident) are to die for. Brussel sprouts with bacon (sensing a theme?) we fine but a little undercooked. Beer choices are limited compared to other local options. But overall though it was a great meal!

Their burgers are of the top quality. I wish they added the blackboard burgers to delivery services, but oh well, even still their burgers are fantastic. We even enjoyed their magical mac and cheese. With that said, DO NOT GET THEIR PULLED PORK EGG ROLLS. See image. Those were the saddest excuses of an appetizer I have ever had. $11 (doordash) for one of the most pathetic appetizers I've ever had; especially, when they sucked. 2 egg rolls with flavorless mush. The sauce was good but it didn't justify the money.

My husband and I went today and just were not impressed. For a burger place you expect to be asked how the burger should be cooked and instead we received medium well which was way over done. The seared filet tacos were also over done and our server was very cranky so we did not feel comfortable telling her our food wasn't done to our liking. We would ordinarily be back because there were multiple menu items I wanted to try but there are plenty of other places in West Hartford to try instead.

Helpful and friendly waitstaff, a solid menu with options for all tastes, including vegetarian and vegan options, and a cocktail list that keeps things interesting! This is a West Hartford must have in the burger space. If you can only try one, try this one!

Great atmosphere and good tasty dishes!! Great cocktale options. The only thing that was unconvince was the waiting list. Some outdoor tables (perhaps 3 or 4 tables) were empty meanwhile we were on a waiting list. Other than that, the service was great and enjoyed the outdoor sitting.

I waivered between 2 and 3 stars, but 2.5 stars would be fair based on my latest experience here. I ordered the All American burger with fries and was disappointed. The burger seemed to be cooked uneven with one side being very rare, the other side medium rare. The fries were cooked ok, but almost every single fry was less than 1 inch long. The service was friendly and timely, but I won't be heading back any time soon because the quality didn't justify the cost.

MAX stars for MAX Burger, it's the only way to go! Love going here for some dinner (the impossible burger and tots are fantastic), then heading over to bartaco for tacos and drinks, then some Ben & Jerry's and you got yourself a night. This restaurant is great! If you're not a burger person, they have other options such as sandwiches, a black bean burger, a turkey burger, an Impossible burger, and salad options. Their drinks were great as well (definitely try the Dragonball Tea). Our server tonight was fantastic. She checked on us often and kept the drinks coming. There was a bit of a wait tonight and parking in the area is always a pain, but this place should definitely be on your list, especially if you're in the mood for a burger.

I go here a lot, mostly with friends. We always have experienced friendly servers and consistently delicious food and drink. Today I went with my family (husband and five kids, aged 4 through 12). Our server Mya was amazing. We handle food allergies and she went above and beyond what I could have imagined so that we would have safe food for our kids. Thank you, Max Burger!

My family and I love this place. Great craft cocktails for the grown-ups, fun sodas and shakes for the kids. The burgers are great, salads too. My meatless eater likes the grilled cheese! Call ahead if you want to get in on Friday or Saturday at 7 though!

We had a fabulous server (Jules) who took really good care of us. She made sure that the chefs knew about our allergies and got our orders perfect. We all had burgers and they were juicy and delicious. As we were sitting down, someone near-by was being served a fabulous looking dessert so, I saved room and my husband and I shared the delicious confection. When we finished we lingered with our friends and were not rushed. It was great.

The food is amazing and the menu is fantastic. Honestly the menu is brilliant. Filled with insane apps, nicely priced burgers, and an absolutely fantastic drink menu. The bar just as exquisite as the more expensive Max's Oyster Bar down the street. Even on a random Wednesday night, it was clear that a pro mixologist was working that night. The bourbon ice cream shake was the tastiest thing I've ever had as a human being.

I had the privilege to had lunch with my nieces Mory and Beija at Max Berger yesterday (Saturday) 1- The waiting was less than I thought (10) 😳 2- The waitress Antonio immediately came to the table and introduced himself very politely and asked us if we wanted any yo drink or eat before the order. 3- We looked around and observed that the place was very clean and neatly organized 4- Antonio came few times to our table to see that everything was fine and if we’re ready to order our meals 5- when we were finally ready, and due to it was our first time, we asked him tons of questions about the different burgers on the menu. For our surprise he responded yo every single question with lots of patience. Antonio informed us that it was her 2nd day working @ Max Burger and added if he couldn’t answer any question he would ask to his manager. 6- As latinas and Spanish first language speaking , we were extremely happy that he could speak perfectly our language and understood every we wanted. 7- Antonio came to our table often and was able to make few changes to our orders when we asked to 8- The burgers were so freaking delicious and big enough to bring te left over home. 9- last but not least we felt in love with Max Burger restaurant and the environment. 10- We agreed to recommend this place 💯 to our friends and family, because we know they will not regret once they go. I ordered online for curbside pickup. I do wish their blackboard specials were offered online as well. I tried calling to place an order, but the phone just kept ringing even after multiple tries. We were promptly acknowledged by the curbside pick up attendant when we pulled in. It took ~10 minutes to bring the food out. Each meal came individually packaged and was accurate! The burgers was a bit soggy, but still very tasty and was a normal proportion size!

In town visiting friends in vacation, went here for dinner. Great draft beer selection ranging from unique IPAs to a solid Porter. The Maple Whiskey burger was perfectly cooked. I loved the bite of the blue cheese playing off the hint of maple flavor and crispy bacon. We were greeted at the door and well taken care of by a friendly staff. Very much recommended!

I love their homemade pickles, always ask for extra. Their variety of burgers is great, but they are pricey. Kids meal is a expensive and doesn't include a drink. Service is always good here and a cool atmosphere. We have gone here often and last visit I thought they had lost some of their mojo.

I was really happy with the excellent service that we received last night at Max Burger. The wait for an open table was fairly short, and our waitress was really kind, helpful, and enthusiastic. Our food tasted excellent and was fresh. It was my first time trying Japanese Wagyu burgers - highly recommend! Overall, my husband and I had a lovely dinner and we plan to return for dinner again soon!

I probably shouldn't even write a review because I only stopped in for a bit and had an iced tea, but the tea was great. It came in it's own little carafe which I really enjoyed. The menu looked great and the food coming out all looked good too. They had the doors to the patio open which made for a nice breezy environment.

Love the food here. Burgers are beautifully done and creative. Salads are good. I'm a particular fan of the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. The chili is nice. The roast chicken is very good. It's usually quite crowded and can get somewhat noisy. No reservations, so be prepared for a wait at peak hours. They offer a call-ahead system that can help you a bit; call as you hit the road.

One of the best burgers we have ever eaten. Fries were really good. The order of onion rings was very small (5) considering there was an upcharge to sub out the fries. The place is very busy and there were many people waiting as we left. Parking is an issue.

They just changed their menu and it was great! Everyone loved the eggplant fries and the meatloaf!! The roasted chicken was good as well as the portobello burger. Not a fan of the potato cake so swap that out for another side. Good vibe, good food. Absolutely recommend.

It's a good restaurant with nice consistency. It does get busy there at dinner hours, but that's just W. Hartford The menu has at least one dish for anyone. The restaurant itself gives you the classic burger/steakhouse feel. Overall the restaurant is fine, with nice prices and staff.

I truly enjoyed this place. First I loved the great music they played all night. Truly a tasteful collection. Secondly the service was so great, I wish I got our waitresses name because she was amazing. Thirdly the burger I had was amazing. I got the 8 oz max classic with tator tots ohhhhh man that burger was off the chain. Even when getting to the restaurant close to closing i received great, fast service and high quality food. My burger was so simple yet just so perfect. The simple seasonings made the burger absolutely incredible. And lastly I was able to enjoy a night out with my mom and just have fun. I will hands down return the next time I want a burger.

I went in around 5 and got seated right away. My server took my order quickly and was very attentive. Got a Chocolate Banana shake and a Texican Burger. Amazing fries with a really good dipping sauce. Everything was delicious, but the shakes are kinda pricey. My total was around $20.

Its a nice restaurant, the atmosphere is pretty chill. So my personal opinion, i had a burger and it was good but for a place that specializes in burgers i had no wow factor. Just tasted like any other burger that i can get at Chilis. My friend told me the pulled pork Mac n cheese was really good thou. And service even thou was buzy my waiter did a really great job!

This place is great. The quantity and quality of food exceeds the prices charged. However, the beer prices seem a little high; though the draft list features a good selection and rotates frequently. The atmosphere is nice and usually crowded. The bar area is small and first-come, first-served. Thursday nights are dubbed 'Thirsty Thursday' and all canned beers are half price.

I had the Max burger. The burger was outstandingly cooked, with good sauce. The fries were good. They accomodated my food allergy. I liked it, really good! My one nit pick is that it could have had just a tad more salt on the burger. For the restaurant Max is... and the incredible competition across town... these little points are the difference between good and perfect. Other than that, flawless.

Some people love this place, but I actually find it to be vastly overrated. The burgers are nothing special, and I would say the same about the rest of the menu. Candied Bacon Lollipops are the best of the appetizers. They also have a nice selection of craft brew and wines by the glass, but given that the place tends to be packed with families and loud, it's not on my list of West Hartford favorites when there are at least three better restaurants within 200 feet. I guess with kids under 12 maybe? If you want a really good burger I would go to Artisanal Burger in Manchester where the burgers are actually noteworthy.

One of my absolute favorite burger places. Great selection of beers on tap (including locals from CT), excellent service which is what Max is known for across all brands, and of course fantastic burgers. Only place I have found in my travels that actually knows how to cook a burger medium. Recommend going at an off time (e.g. late lunch). If you go during peak time you will be waiting for a seat.

Vibrant spot in West Hartford Center. Saturday night visit during Covid arriving at 530. About a 20 minute wait, but worth it. I had the Turkey Burger, on Wheat Bun with Goat Cheese and a strawberry puree. Delicious. Wife and friends enjoyed their choices, as well. Staff was friendly, service was spot on. I've been here before and will come again.

Max Burger is always a great spot to grab dinner with friends. There dozen burger are all fantastic, I personally enjoy their day of the week special burgers that have all been fantastic when I have them. Good options of beers to pair with your food. Be prepared to wait for dinner, but you can call ahead. Nice outdoor patio during the summer months.

I've been here multiple times for everything from business dinners, to beers with friends. Very reasonably priced considering that many of the Max family of restaurants can get on the pricey side. During the day, the patio is open and the ample windows let in tons of natural light. At night, the lights are lower and it has more of a steakhouse feel. Max burger is a very modern burger bar. Not only can you get their staple house ground beef, but of course you have options of turkey burgers, fish burgers, vegetarian options too. You can customize the buns to be gluten free or "in the grass." No matter how you take it, the combinations of toppings are delicious and fresh. Always a solid option for going out and even has a parking lot (uncommon for West Hartford)

Always a great rotating beer selection with a very knowledgeable staff. The burgers are some of the best in the area. Try the Sgt. peppercorn burger if they still have it. Place is very cozy and during the summer they open the doors to a patio. It's great to be able to wander around downtown after a meal and visit the other shops in downtown WeHa.

Waited 2 years for another Miss Daisy burger. Even though it was Sunday's burger, the chef graciously made it for me on a Saturday. Flying back to Seattle next week. Love Max Burger except they changed the menu and there isn’t one appetizer that sounds good anymore except wings - cauliflower really? Yuck. Also the sherry vinaigrette dressing on the salad is awful - reminds me of horrible dressing from the 80s - please offer an italian dressing. Love the kids menu! Overall I absolutely love this place!

Great Burger Restaurant. This not a grab and go or joint. This is a very nice and pleasant sit down restaurant. Great simple menu and nice selection of imported beers. Burger, hand cut fries and home made pickles were all great. Waitress was a little lacking and no idea on how to build her ticket; which, increases her tip.

Fresh ingredients, friendly service, the price is reasonable for what you get. These burgers don't taste like they've been taken out of a freezer and thawed before they were cooked. They have a burger for pretty much every taste preference. Once in a while one of the specialty burgers might be a bit too strong or weak in its flavoring. Most of the sides are pretty good, we really like their salads and onion rings as well.... a little bit crispy, but not too flaky and not greasy. Like any Max location there's an extensive wine list. Parking in the center can always be a challenge, so consider that if you're going later in the evening.

Our waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The turkey burger and Impossible burger was tasty! They only negative was the front staff. The two women were talking to each other while we stood in front of them, without acknowledging us. When one finally took ys to our table, without a greeting, she wanted to sit us near a pile of dirty dishes, dirty table and another very close table of a loud talking group. My husband and I asked if we could sit at one of the other clean and quiet tables instead (there were many). She stated, "oh sure" and dripped our menus at one and left.

Loved the veggie burger. By far the best yet. The chutney or the spread on the patty was amazing. The wings were nice, well cooked, but not spicy to my taste. Stick to the burger. Difficult to go wrong. This veggie burger wins by a landslide over Plan B btw, just if you are on that fence.

Of all the Max restaurants, this is my least favorite and in my opinion the "weakest link." I'm a big fan of the Max restaurant group because I believe they have very consistent food and service at their other restaurants, so I'm a bit surprised that this particular one is not reflective of that. I've eaten here many times over the years. If I order a burger medium, it should never come back well done, because this is a "gourmet" burger restaurant in West Hartford. Many times I've eaten here with a party of four or more, and I've noticed that the burgers are inconsistent. If this is the specialty, nail it every time!

I had impossible veggie burger. I have heard about this burger before. Though it's veggie it taste like meat burger. I tried couple of times and is awesome. I tried fully cooked one which was good. My friend tried half cooked and she said it's good too. Price is little costly though.

Service was excellent. The fried chicken tacos were great, I should have just gotten 3 orders of those. The burger I had was ok, but seemed lacking for some reason, I cant put my finger on why. Edit: It just occurred to me. While the burger was certainly decadent, it just wasn't flavorful. I got the "fatty" burger which came between two grilled cheeses with tomato and bacon. While this was an excellent idea the grilled cheeses didn't impart the "grilled cheese" taste. The tomato inside was bland and the cheese didn't do anything for me. I hardly noticed the bacon was there except for added saltiness. I dont know what kind of cheese it was, but it seemed like a flat cheddar and could have been better sharp or with a provolone or Swiss. Something with some other flavor dynamic. It was like a lot of flat fats were together but not really doing anything great in their melding.

Ordered the fatty melt with truffle Spuds and the artichoke dip. I feel like dip was kind of low on flavor, possibly need some salt. Or it could have been just for my taste. The burger is what really drew me to this place. A burger with bacon in-between two grilled cheese sandwiches. The burger was ordered medium rare and came some where in-between medium rare and medium, which is perfect for me. The bacon could have been a bit more plentiful. I only got the faintest taste of smoky bacon. The grilled cheese was grilled to perfection. I believe they used cheddar cheese for the grilled cheese. Although I wish it was the classic plain old American cheese, it was good nonetheless. Maybe they can offer different cheese selections for the grilled cheese. The truffle Spuds were very unique. Basically little mashed potato balls shaped like tater tots and fried and probably sprinkled with truffle oil. Excellent all around restaurant, servers were excellent, I would def recommend and come back.

My family and I visited your Max Burger in West Hartford last night and we had such a great experience that I felt the need to share with you. Before I get into our visit I wanted to give you a little background on my family. My wife and I have 4 children, two of which had type 1 diabetes and have a gluten intolerance. It is extremely difficult to go out to eat because of the lack of experience/ knowledge with food allergies. So we tend to just stay at home to ensure we do not run into any issues since we have in the past at other establishments that "guarantee" their products are gluten free or allergy friendly. So my children go through a lot and do not get to experience a good time by eating out without consequence from the lack of attention to this sensitivity. As you may imagine it is difficult. Last night we had the best experience we had ever had dining out!!! Our server Megan we fantastic. She was very patient, not only dealing with 4 kids at our table, but with making sure we got our meals free from anything that may cause harm to the kids. She went back and forth to the kitchen to speak with the chef multiple times to ask if the meals my kids were choosing were indeed free from any gluten. She was kind and friendly, answered all our questions and was able to substitute items to accommodate our needs. Once the food came out, 1 of the meals was absent from the table delivery and for a while. At that point, Lucas came to our table with the meal in his hand himself and explained that this particular meal came directly from the chef to our table to make sure there was no cross contamination. He also explained that the reason for the delay in the meal was because there was some question as to weather or not there MAY have been a chance a knife touched the plate or not to potentially cause some cross contamination. Instead of taking a chance, the entire meal was re-done and present to my son. We have NEVER had anyone pay attention to our kids needs the way your staff handled our situation and we are more than pleased with our experience and the attention to detail we received last night. We will certainly return because, not only is the food fantastic, but more because of the dedication your staff has to your customers. I felt the need to let you know because I am sure more times than not you only head negative comments. I am a manager of a retail store, so I know the importance of also letting positive feedback be heard. Thank you again for hiring/ training such a dedicated staff to the customer experience. As I well know the customer experience can be more important than anything to continue to allow your business to grow and expand. The staff you have will certainly allow you to continue to be successful going forward. Please thank Megan and Lucas again for us.

Enjoyed my time here, the outdoor area was nic,e but I enjoy a bit louder music whilst eating to create extra ambiance. Not to be confused with, I like loud music while i eat, no. It's just that Max burger had almost no music. Aside from that i got the Monday special, "The Smokehouse" which is a mixture meats i love by themselves, mixed into a patty, and made delicious while entering my mouth. I recommend this burger.

Small tap list, but always something interesting. Bartenders always friendly, yet professional. Tuna poke and cauliflower apps were outstanding. Burgers, as the name suggests, wonderful. The (enormous) grilled cheese sandwich with thick tomato soup / dip is one of the best deals in metro Hartford. West Hartford is finicky about sitting on the patio and just having alcohol without buying a meal, but there are bar seats that are practically outside in nice weather.

Max burger services top quality beef with excellent presentation. The taste however tends to be lacking, and the cooking is not up to par. In order to get a medium burger, you have to ask for a rare burger. If you want a medium rare burger, you have to stress to the server 2 or 3 times that you want it still alive and mooing. Getting a rare burger is not possible. Ask for a medium burger, and you will get it well done. The price is also on the higher side for what you end up with. Overall it's a good place to eat, if you don't care about spending a little more money.

Veggie burger is horrible. Totally dry and tasteless. The avocado on mine was also rotten which set it over the edge of 'not good' to 'absolutely terrible'. The chili was also very bland and lacking freshness. on the positive- drinks were made well, good beer selection, sweet potato fries were very good, boyfriend loved his 'Inside out' burger and liked how he didn't have to unhinge his jaw to eat it. overall i will not return- plan B, Ted's, and Burger Baby blow max burger out of the water.

Last couple visits here have been mediocre. Buns have been overly saturated and become too soggy from the burgers, fries aren't that great anymore either. Not sure if there was a change in chefs/kitchen staff or vendors, but not as good as it used to be.

This is a very good high end hamburger restaurant. The menu was unique but with plenty of standard favorites as well. The staff are friendly and efficient and the environment is very nice. Full bar with some interesting adult milkshakes.

The SERVICE here is so-so. I did not like the pretentious young seating hostess ( very young/Hispanic?/long wavy Brown hair) She was unfriendly, and overestimated our wait time by over 45 minutes... our waitress was cool, friendly and helpful (she had red hair, sorry I don't recall her name but she got a big tip from us). The FOOD was so good!! We ordered the Texican burger with sweet potato fries, grilled cheese with tomato soup, truffle fries, eggplant fries, a shake and the el vagabundo cocktail (which was delicious). Everything came out excellent except for the eggplant fries. They were good another time we had ordered, this time they were soggy. Over all I would return and maybe bring some friends, probably on a weekday, and hopefully this time greeted warmly (hint hint)

On keto and ate here. Great options, service was fantastic and food was amazing. Had a wagyu burger, no bun with avocado, bacon and fried egg. I've been here several times and have been happy with the food and service. This last trip however I can't say the same. I ordered the seared scallops salad. When my food was served I noticed the scallops were slightly under cooked. The server said he would take care of it and I gave him the scallops so he could show the cook. He then brings back the same scallops that they had obviously just stuck in the oven! I would of expected fresh cooked scallops...and the insides of some still weren't cook. Then I spoke to server about it and he said they will make a whole new order...I said I would be happy if they just discounted my salad since I was almost done with it. He says you can just take it home. I thought that was very nice of them. When he came back with the bag, I looked inside and by whole order he meant the scallops! What are you suppose to do with that? So I decided to eat them in the car and of course now they were completely over cooked and rubbery. Take home msg. is I guess you don't order seafood at a burger joint....by the way no manager ever came over. That may have been the server's fault. I'm guessing he's new since he handled things this way. The salad part was delicious and the server was nice about everything.

Had a terrific burger meal on the patio at 9:00 this past Friday. That meant we were in the window for restaurant week. For $20.00, I had a tomato mozzarella, delicious burger with a piece of smoked short rib and "cheese fondue" and chocolate mint Oreo icecream. My hubby had a classic cheeseburger with onion rings. We ate everything, except the fries that came with my meal -- way too salty! We washed everything down with 2 Margarita's made with Patron tequila, grand Marnier, Triple Sec, and lime juice. Great waitress, nice weather - a perfect launch to Labor Day weekend!

Great food and vibe and good beer. Smash Burger was simple but tasty. Truffle fries were amazing especially with the roasted garlic aioli dipping sauce.

I got a giant grilled sandwich here. It was probably bigger than my face and it came with a delicious red-colored dipping sauce. Before our food arrived, I attempted to tighten the lid on the chocolate milk kids cup my daughter was using and I squeezed it too tight and the kids cup literally exploded in my hand, spraying chocolate milk everywhere. Please don't let that impact your decision on whether or not you should eat here; I truly believe that my exploding the chocolate milk kids cup was human error and not a reflection of the quality of the kids cup or this establishment as a whole. The grilled cheese sandwich was probably bigger than my face. Did I mention that?

Max Burger never disapoints! Great burgers combined with imaginative toppings offered in a variety of meats; beef shrimp, tuna, turkey and veggie. And a nice selection of entrees appetizers and salads. I loved the barbecued pork plater with juicy ribs pulled pork and crispy pork belly. Outstanding wings and fries of all sorts. Also a great selection of draft and bottled beers.

Never been disappointed here - great in-house draft (Brewtus Maximus!), and the Gorgonzola-stuffed burger is to die for. Sweet potato fries are great. My only negative experience was on a Friday night when they estimated an 1 hour and 20 minute wait and it was almost 2 hours to get a table... Didn't impact my rating though, they let you wander and send you a text when your table's coming up.

Simply delicious meal. This was my second time. First time I had a burger on a GF roll (it was great). Tonight, I had the pulled pork on a GF Udi's roll (probably the best pulled pork I've ever had) and the sweet potato fries, which are done in a designated fryer. Utilized their call ahead feature for my most recent visit which allowed us to basically walk in and wait 5 mins for a table versus the 35-45 minute wait for anyone else.
