When I first came to UHa in 2002 from jersey/NYC, it took me a while to find some decent pizza. This place was a godsend and absolutely the best NYC style pizza around. As a college student the double slices were a godsend. Years later I moved back as an adult to work at ESPN and they had moved into a larger space while keeping the same awesomeness. I used to bring pies to work all the time and everyone loved it. Glad to see Joe still crushing it…..he is absolutely one of the nicest dudes you’ll ever meet and takes pride in his business and it shows. Also literally on the exit ramp on rt 84 so always a great pit stop when driving thru.

Not even 5 min into my sandwich and I just had to leave a review.I ordered the Chicken Parm Grinder. 1st delivery came in good time sandwich still hot n fresh 2nd The CARE they put into my sandwich is A+. They put plastic wrap…(Paused for another bite) ..around the side of my sandwich so the sauce and cheese don’t go all over the place and we have ourselves a messy situation. I’ve never seen that done before. So thank you for the care package . 3rd. The chicken parm grinder great flavor.Well balanced sandwich.great portion. Next time I’ll add a basil leaf or 2 to zest things up. Update 9/18/21 I ordered delivery again and got one of the specials personal 10” garlic chicken broccoli pizza and it didn’t disappoint. It was bursting with flavor & cooked to perfection. Another Update 9/28/21 THEY NEVER MISS

Very good recommendation by a coworker. Always looking for good lunch spots in the Hartford area. Ordered the Italiano personal pizza...consisted of salami, pepperoni, red peppers...and tons of flavor. Definitely will be trying other options off the menu

The best pizza I have had so far. Bread, cheese and the toppings, everything is fresh and filling. One can savour the flavors of all individual components. They made pizza right in front of us, that was a delight to see and is a testament to the freshness. One can order ahead so that they wont have to wait for the preparation time.

Amazing pizza, amazing staff, and the owner is cool. Their food is consistant and the staff is professional. We've been going there for 10 years now and never seen them mess up an order, or send out subpar food, even once. Considering the vibe, quality, staff, and price it's my favorite pizza spot for sure. I'd recommend a slice and fries, Buffalo chicken salad, chicken parm grinder, or party sheet pizza when you've got guests. Only wish that city ordinances allowed them to open the dining room back up.

One of our FAVORITE pizza places! The slices are huge, and they have delicious sauce and crust. Their salads are good too. We usually get a Medium to feed 3-4 and have leftovers. For a party their “Party Sized” pizzas are the best around!

I love their pizza but was quite disappointed tonight. I added special instructions to my order and none of them were followed. Had a major reason for the pizza to be pie cut and it wasn't. Asked for an ingredient to be removed and it wasn't. I'll still eat here but a little more cautiously next time.

Had a great and huge slice of Italian sausage that was a quarter of a pizza, for only 4 dollars. The area is on the west Hartford, Hartford line so it was a very friendly and welcoming place for me, everyone said hello and everyone was enjoying huge slices. Very busy, lots of take out and lots of staffing to make so many pizzas. The sauce and cheese was fresh and had the signature CT pizza taste. I will have this on my list to visit any time I am around that area, glad my friend had shown me the place, thank you very much for the recommendation Ricky

First visit, was impressed with the size of the pizza slices. 2/$3 very large. Tasted very go. Thin crust if you like that. Also got chicken tenders, was tasty and juicy. They weren't dry like some other places. Will definitely go there again.

Social distance guidelines are semi in place. The staff taking orders are off. No one is overly pleasant. I love the fact I can see into the kitchen. The prices are definitely on the higher side but the quality of food is good.

My fiancé and I just moved to CT and we were looking for a good pizza place. Luckily we decided to try this one first. We love it!! It’s so good!! It reminds me of my favorite pizza place in OH called Donatos. We’ve only ordered from here so far and multiple times. We even got our friends to try it when they came to visit from NY, and they enjoyed as well. I recommend, we both recommend :)

I love the pizza here! I’ve tried all the pizza around West Hartford and this is by far my favorite. Surprising because it’s easily the cheapest and best value. Their slices are huge!!! Seriously huge. Like one slice is the size of two decent sized normal slices for I think $2.50. Pro tip: ask for ricotta and eggplant if you’re feeling adventurous. You won’t be sorry

Prices are pretty good, the slices are huge, -about a quarter of a pizza- and it's pretty good stuff, although it's not the best in the area. People looking for a great deal on a quick lunch come here. The restaurant is always clean, there is a lot of parking, and there is enough seating you can usually find a place to sit and eat even around lunchtime.

It's difficult to get a five star rating out of me, but everything about our experience was perfect from the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out. The host greeted and seated us right away. We ordered the crispy ribs to start, which I highly recommend. I had the fried chicken sandwich as entree. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My food devouring date had the sweet chili chicken pizza. The crust on the pizza were slices of heaven. Our server Amy was completely on top of our every need despite the restaurant being quite busy and was honestly one of the best waitresses I've ever seen. Our food arrived quickly and was piping hot fresh out of the oven. Whatever these guys are doing in the back end of their business it's definitely working. Great food and great staff.

The pizza is okay. The mozzarella sticks are the best!!!!! Calzones are good. The staff aren't really friendly. But they get the job done. They need a better system with getting the food to customers. Maybe asking a name for each order would help instead of calling out the order when it is finished. The sitting area is clean and welcoming.

I love going somewhere and they greet me and my boyfriend by out first names. Huge delicious slices! Order one & you get two huge slices of really great pizza. The calzones & grinders are also excellent as are their fresh salads. I usually call in my order, often a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken & arriving 10-15 minutes later it's ready to go with plenty of off street parking in a well lit lot right off the Prospect St exit from I84. Hot juicy chicken with super fresh greens packaged separately & always delicious! Truly one of the best deals in Hartford & the service is phenomenal! The owner is running the kitchen daily & everything including the service is on point, right down to the greetings you get when walking in even when they're jamming busy! I definitely recommend calling ahead, although when I forget to call they are very quick & it's well worth the few minute wait! During lunch & dinner hours they're often full of first responders which usually indicates great food & fair prices, Angelina's is no exception for just that, TOP NOTCH! One of my favorites! A+

My wife and I flew into Hartford from Utah this morning. It had been a long day and we were really hungry. We got of a random freeway exit and decided to find something. We could see through the front window of this little pizza joint and there were a bunch of cops eating in there. That made up our mind. Patrol cops know good little local places with fast service. We weren't disappointed! There were a couple of really nice girls working the front cashier and dinning area. I asked what was a good pizza and one of them told us the broccoli chicken was her favorite. It's a white sauce pizza with plenty of garlic and a small pizza is very large for a small! Great place!

I ordered the personal clam casino pie and Buffalo wings. Coming from NYC the pizza was pretty good. It was a different style, but good. I would say the biggest difference is the crust, which is much thicker. As far as toppings. I had to order the clams casino pie because I never saw anything like it before. We usually have a white clam pie back in Brooklyn. The smoky bacon was excellent but I feel like there was not enough clam flavor. As far as buffalo wings, they are lightly breaded and fried. They were excellent. Make sure If you want the traditional hot sauce on them, ask for them hot. Mild wings come with only a dry rub.

Come here regularly as they are the only pizza restaurant around that has killer slices. One slice is about the size of 1.5 NY style slice. I would say its the closest slice of NY outside of NY that is in the Hartford area. They definitely are customer driven as they have a loyal following who is really taken care of. Have not roamed away from the pizza here but i' m sure the rest of the menu is as tasty.

Amazing Customer Service. Pizza Slices are well Priced and are Huge and Delicious, but the Whole Pies aren't as good for some reason and Menu Items can be Over Priced. Also they don't Delivery, but what this Establishment lacks in what I've mentioned more than makes up for itself with it warm cozy atmosphere and great service. I prefer Greek style pizza but still come here for their large slices. Their calzones are made to order which is a huge convenience for me because I don't like ricotta so all of the pizza places that pre-make the calzones can't remove it. The ownership here is also very friendly and the employees are as well.

I am extremely picky when it comes down to places to eat and pizza in general. I would only eat from Angelinas and from another place in Windsor. The staff are excellent and very professional . Even under the most stress they bring great service. They are always cleaning and stocked up with merchandise. I have no complaints when it comes down to Angelinas .

Had lunch at Angelina's with a friend from Colt Firearms and was surprised at how large the portions are. I ordered the small (8") BLT Grinder and when it arrived I instantly wondered how I could eat it all. It was HUGE with about five lbs. of bacon on it... My friend ordered a slice of pizza and it was actually two LARGE slices. The food was prepared quickly and efficiently and there was no trouble getting in and out in less than an hour. We actually had time to talk and eat leisurely. You really get a lot for your money at Angelina's and the prices are quite reasonable too.

Food is great don't get me wrong but please wear gloves while you are preparing someones food. Saw one of the workers preparing a sandwich with no gloves, I never worked in a restaurant before but I'm pretty sure wearing gloves is required even if you washed your hands.
