Cruising all over the southern states, we ate all kinds of food. We stopped at many restaurants. This one, i am here to tell you, was one of the best. The place was crowded but Michelle (not Linda - since it's a good review) seated us quickly and treated us like regular customers. We started with fried green tomatoes. I hadn't ever tried them. They were fantastic - and served with both regular ranch dressing AND spicy ranch dressing. For my main meal, i ordered the red snapper. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever in my 52 years eaten. So dang good. It was served on a bed of rice that was amazing - and i don't even like rice! I highly highly recommend the Shrimp Basket. You won't be disappointed! Great service, better food!!

Wonderful dine-in experience! We had great, friendly service - everyone greeted us warmly and our waitress was so nice. Absolutely delicious!! We ordered 2 fried Seafood Sampler baskets and a Shrimp basket. We enjoyed the flounder, fried oysters, shrimp, crab cake, cheese grits, corn nugget, slaw and hush puppies. Enjoyed the tartar and cocktail sauces also. The Pineapple cocktail on the cocktail cabana menu was so good - the pineapple and coconut flavors were very tasty!

My wife and I stop at the shrimp basket for lunch this weekend. I had the shrimp and grits. She had the clam strips. Clam strips were cooked to perfection nice buttery, and no chewy or overdone. The shrimp and grits were also seasoned to perfection. Shrimps were cooked to the proper Dennis and it was very enjoyable. Waitress was very attentive and was even visited by the manager to make sure everything was fine. Been to other shrimp baskets. This is the first stop at this one, we will probably be back.

The fried food we ordered was delicious food and our waitress was very fast and friendly service! We originally stopped for lunch because they had oysters in their name and my wife was craving some. Unfortunately they were out of oysters but the shrimp we ordered was delicious!

I had a spectacular time at this place. The inside looked so cool and the staff were so welcoming and also really cool and fun. My server was Andrew and he was very attentive and so polite and informative! The food was great and they offered me the drink special, which was a St. Patrick's Day drink and it rocked!!!! I will definitely go back next time in in town!

Staff is very friendly and prices are good. Unfortunately food is only decent. Steamed shrimp was hard to peel and tasted dry, sign of old seafood. The catfish and flounder “filets” were more like strips. Might of came on an off day, will try again when I’m in the area.

We’re visiting Gulfport for our honeymoon and thought we would try Shrimp Basket based off their great reviews. Let me tell you all….Those positive reviews are very accurate. A-1 customer service from start to finish. Lindsey took excellent care of us. She made us feel like family not just a customer🥰 To be honest, the entire staff were sweethearts. We will definitely be back to visit. Shrimp Basket, keep delivering A-1 customer service and great food!!!

My uncle said his shrimp low light was on. We dropped in at the Shrimp Basket in Gulfport, Ms. We we're seated right away and the server Michelle was engaging and polite, as were the rest of the staff. She brought our drinks right away and helped with suggestions on and of of the menu. My uncle had the popcorn shrimp basket and I had the clam jam. It was an overabundance of food part of which we took home for later. We've eaten here many times and never been disappointed. 2nd trip to this location in the last 30 days and it is very consistent on food and service. Today, the restaurant was packed and the general manager, Star got me seated at the bar in no time flat. Food was hot and came out very quickly considering every table was occupied. These people do seafood right and the “can do” attitude of the staff is refreshing. Highly recommend the steamed shrimp platter. Yum!

Oh my goodness! Second time at this Shrimp Basket! We love it! ❤️ I had the shrimp and grits and yum!!!! Hubby had popcorn shrimp basket! For a starter we had the 1/2 lb steamed shrimp! Everything was great! And Michelle made sure we were enjoying our meal and well taken care of! The Shrimp Basket is always a go to for us when we are in the area! Wonderful Service and Food! I am in Gulfport for a Training Academy and decided to try the shrimp basket out for dinner. From the time I entered till the time I left the customer service was great. The food was outstanding. Our waitress Michelle was amazing. I really can’t say enough about how great her customer service skills are and how great she is at her job. Absolutely perfect Experience! I travel for work once a month and I stumbled upon this restaurant through Google! I must say, from the front door to the table, the service was impeccable 👌 My waitress was Morgan! Super sweet and attentive! This little gem is out of this world!! The staff- super friendly, worked continuously with a sense of urgency. Greeted us immediately upon entering the restaurant despite being slammed. Kinsley was awesome! The food- huge portions for the money! We had the shrimp basket- huge shrimp (despite being "popcorn"), shrimp tacos- tasty, chicken strip- juicy and tasty, crabcake burger- delicious and the crabcake was real crabmeat (no filler), crab claws- delicious, and fried clam strips- tender and juicy. This place was fantastic!

We came in for dinner and had the Crab Burger in Paradise, Shrimp Basket and Crawfish Po'boy. Now I want a crab patty on every burger from now on! It's fantastic. Po'boy was loaded and tasted great! Shrimp basket was plentiful. Shrimp Basket Hot Sauce elevated every plate to the next level. Loved it so much we came in the next day for lunch. Ordered the Blackened Redfish and Popcorn Shrimp Basket. Both delicious. We found a new favorite in Gulfport. Amber and Brittany were awesome and took their time to explain the menu for us. Props to the cooks. Overall very friendly staff. Clean and spacious seating and food was tasty and fresh.

This was my first time here and it was a good one! I had planned on something fried, but I was tempted by a brand new grilled fish special, "Barramundi with Mango Salsa." I was their Guinea pig to be the first ever to try it. I'm very happy I got to experience such a great dish! It was cooked properly and the texture was perfect. The spices with the mango salsa complimented each other just right. It's a very flavorful dish. I was also impressed by the attentive and cheerful service from Brittany. I may come back tonight and try something else. 🤗

I stopped in Gulfport on the way home to Atlanta Ga, and found this wonderful little treasure of the restaurant. I had a oyster basket and a full shrimp basket. I had to buy them seperately because there is no combo on the menu. Its the only recommendation i have for them, is to create combos. The staff was great, polite and professional. This place has a very genuine home feel to it because everybody was so at ease with the customers....i was very pleased with my experience. Way to go Michelle, Lindsey and Christiane.

Our waitress, Taylor, was very sweet and helpful with answering our questions as well as being very attentive! We had the Boom Boom Shrimp appetizer, Blackened Shrimp Tacos and The Seafood Basket (Fish, Shrimp, Oysters and Stuffed Crab); everything tasted wonderful and was served more quickly than we expected. I enjoyed the friendly service and how attentive they were. I had a combo plate had blackened shrimp and Cajun flounder with a side of collard greens, hushpuppies was included. The shrimp and fish was well seasoned as well as the collards. I will be back.

There are Shrimp Basket restaurants and down the Emerald Coast and they are soooo good. Check for daily specials on AYCE (All You Can Eat). Eat in the dinning room or on the outside patio, or carry-out. We had Caden as our waiter in Pensacola, FL; and April in Gulfport, MS, and they both treated us like family. The food is great, service is unbelievable and prices are reasonable. We always eat at a Shrimp Basket before anything else!!

The food was delicious! We had fried shrimp platter with the sweet potato fries. The shrimp were very large and crispy. Sweet potato fries were crispy also. Our next dish was shrimp with bell peppers and onion over cheesy grits with a Cajun sauce on top. It was out of this world delicious. It wasn't too spicy and had a good flavor. The next dish was stuffed flounder with Cajun sauce over rice and a side of broccoli and that dish was also delicious. It is one of their specialties. The last dish we had was grilled shrimp and a side of cheesy grits it came with hush puppies and a corn fritter as did the other meals. The shrimp were jumbo size. The meals range from $12.99 to $13.50. It was a great value. Our server was quick and polite. We came in at 5: 30pm and left by 6:20 pm on a Tuesday night.

The wait staff is always smiling and friendly and ready to maker sure you have everything you want and need to enjoy your meal. Between my friends and myself, we've tried just about everything on the menu and I promise there hasn't been not one item to complain about. The food was amazing. We had the fried pickles appetizer with ranch, made in house, and they were fantastic. The shrimp and grits was too good for words. I'm not a coleslaw fan, but the shrimp slaw was so good I ate mine and my son's. Our waitress (I apologize, I don't remember her name, but I loved her heart suspenders) was so full of energy and made sure our experience was one we would remember.

I brought my cheer team and dance team here to eat when we traveled for our play off game. They were beyond accommodating for our crew of 31! I sent in our orders the day before and when we arrived, they were ready for us! Our drinks had names on them and were handed to everyone as they walked in. Coconut shrimp was good. Everybody liked what they had. Nice place. Friendly server. Also had bowl of seafood gumbo. However there was no seafood in it. I expect to sea shrimp in my gumbo. It was a bowl of rice and gravy.

We were only in Gulfport for a few days and decided to try the Shrimp Basket. The flounder fingers were excellent! We also had 1 pound of Cajun Shrimp and the seafood Basket. Everything was was excellent and at a reasonable price. Our waitress Lindsey's service was great and answered all of our questions.

My friend that's from the coast moved away to Omaha years ago. She surprised me with new years visit on her birthday this week. She was craving seafood and the Shrimp Basket popped up on google!! Yay it was awesome! Our server Michele greeted us and took us to a table. She was funny- attentive and KNEW the menu!! Made recommendations and they were spot on! Shrimp po-boy and fries was great and the crab cakes were scrumptious and the real deal!! Hush puppies and fried okra were perfect. Cold glasses of beer washed it all down! The shrimp here is delicious. Came on a Wed and had the unlimited popcorn shrimp basket and got to try the fried, Cajun, and blackened shrimp. Got the boom boom shrimp for good measure. They were all hot, fresh, and very tasty. Would highly recommend coming here!

Not to impressed with my first experience here. I ordered the shrimp Po boy with Cajun seasoning and it came out way to salty. I would rate lower but I'm hoping my situation was a rare one and I'm assuming that had the Po boy not been so salty it actually would've been delicious. The service here is pretty good. I ordered the shrimp basket because I figured that was the signature plate. It was good. It was much fresher tasting than most fried, rather than great tasting. It comes with fries, two hush puppies, a corn fritter, and coleslaw. It was plenty of food.

I was very impressed with this restaurant. All staff was constantly cleaning, wiping the menus, the ketchup, the salt and pepper, tables, bathrooms were cleaned twice during a 30 minutes stay. Our party of 3 ate lunch on a Wednesday around 12:30 when it was somewhat busy. Michelle quickly greeted us and walked us to a table and let us know Brittany would be by to get our drink order shortly. We decided on the grilled whitefish, crawfish poboy, and the shrimp basket. The food came out within a few minutes, even though there were at least 15 other tables filled. Brittany and Michelle expeditiously and congenially waited on the restaurant full of customers all in their own, making serving look effortless. The portions were huge; well worth the money. Everything was delicious and still hot when it got to us. Two of us couldn’t finish our meal for being full, even without ordering an appetizer. Thank you to the staff for making our first experience there so wonderful!

Visiting Gulfport again from Tampa, FL and I can't believe I never heard of this place. I passed it on my way to our hotel and check out the reviews and they were great so we gave it a try. I have no regrets. I actually had intended to driving to Slidell to go to Copeland's and man I'm glad I didn't. I order the Shrimp Po'Boy, hush puppies, fries, and gumbo and rice. The fries and hush puppies are good but I will focus on the Po'Boy and Gumbo. The Gumbo with rice at first glance i thought wouldn't taste good but I was very wrong. It was very good and the right amount of seasoning and seafoods. All the flavors complimented each other very well with the Gumbo. Now for the shrimp Po'Boy, it was different and the shrimp were cook perfectly. I had shrimp Po'Boy at Copeland's last year and the shrimp had a very strong fishy taste to it and it really took away from the reason of the sandwich. I compare this Po'Boy to the ones I had and Meridian, MS a few times there's had more of a spicy kick to it and thats what I loved and when this one didn't have the spicy kick I was disappointed at first. After eating it the way the shrimp was cook was just amazing, the right amount of mayo, and the toasted buttery sub is what set this apart from any Po'Boy I have ever had. This will definitely be on my places to eat in the area when I visit again. The staff was very friendly and professional, the restaurant was cleaned on the outside and inside. If it wasn't for COVID my wife and I would have dine inn. Nothing beats Mississippi hospitality.

I've been here twice so far, both times I was blown away by the place. Me and my spouse enjoyed items like the Shrimp Tacos, Shrimp Skewers, Coconut Shrimp Basket, and the Crab Cake Platter. All reasonably priced, the food was amazing. Some of the best seafood I've ever eaten actually. The service was exceptional too! Super friendly and attentive to anything you need at your table.

This place is so amazing! From the moment you walk in you are greeted and quickly given a table and drinks. This was extremely refreshing since we were just passing through to go home to Georgia. We had the pleasure of having Olivia's as our server. She was quick and very courteous. I never had to ask for a refill, condiments or napkins. The food needs a review just for itself. The food was delicious, hot and fresh! The batter, sides and condiments are definitely made from scratch. Whoever is running this establishment should pat themselves on the back. Picking up my order was very chaotic. It took a good 5 minutes for someone to find my order/person who put it together. Another 10 min to get it in front of me (I had placed it about 30 min earlier). My order only had 6 of the 12 raw oysters I ordered, no slaw for either of my meals, and only crackers for the oysters. The fried seafood platter was nothing special. I'd say captain d's does a better job. Same with hush puppies. They were tiny and very dense. The raw oysters were the STAR. They were huge and fresh. Slaw was really good. Tartar sauce was great, and I generally don't like tarter sauce. Grilled catfish was good, but grilled shrimp was overdone and they were NOT CLEANED. The "poop line" was not removed, which I find gross, and makes it hard to peel them. Also, realized after I got back that I wasn't given any silverware. :/ I'd recommend coming here for the raw oysters, catfish, and slaw. Everything else can be probably be skipped.

my fiancé and I were passing through on a long road trip and this place came across our radar. The place was nice and clean.. The bathroom was clean and I am very skeptical of public restrooms. I even saw someone wiping down the legs of chairs! (something i never see anymore). Our server was Olivia and she was great. Food was great! I had the blackened redfish and my husband had the shrimp poboy with bang bang sauce! All were very good! The side of fried okra was crispy like we prefer! The waitress Lindsey was awesome and had great recommendations!

Lindsey took excellent care of my kids! Not all waitstaff appreciate kids but she treated them like royalty. We had fried pickles, (ranch was awesome), shrimp and catfish. All was delicious. Manager stopped b our table and was also very sweet.

Wonderful and fast service... Food was delish as always. The only downside was I wasn't able to order crab cakes ala cart due to a shortage... But overall, will definitely come back again.

First time at the GulfPort location the atmosphere was warm and friendly you can tell that it’s a favorite for people in the area they have so many regulars come in and I can see why I had the Shrimp étouffée with fish and My Eating Buddy had the endless fish basket meal he was over with after the second round Great Food and service will definitely be back Thanks Ladies 🥰

Excellent. Food and Service was wonderful. We're from Atlanta and we had been driving all along the beach looking for dinner and all we were told that the wait time was 1-2 hours. We came down Hwy 49 and saw Shrimp Basket. Thank you for an amazing meal. All 6 of us ordered and everything was delicious. Gumbo was great. Please come here cause we will be back. Kylie was wonderful. Very friendly and informative. Please ask for her!!!

Shrimp basket is always tasty, especially the closer you get to the water. But the service here left something to be desired. Courteous servers, but a little disorganized for what wasn't a very busy time. Waited a little long to seated and served. I'd give them another shot on a weekday.

We always stop here going to and from Florida. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly and just fun! Michele gave us a great big southern welcome as did the rest of the staff. Lindsey (our favorite) took great care of us. Crystal does a great job managing. Food is always good and consistent. See y’all on our next road trip!
