The chicken is voodoo chicken, it must be to be this good!! There's voodoo to make this chicken taste this darn good. I don't care if you don't like any of the side dishes, the chicken is the star, the chicken is what's happening here! What an amazing meal! The coleslaw, wow perfect with the chicken, the fried fish,wait I haven't mentioned the chicken yet!!!! The chicken is out of this world. I'm sorry for anyone that hasn't tried this chicken. Y'all missed the train. I'll trade you $10 for the chicken, deal?

I'm reviewing this for what it is, a local fried chicken joint but its a buffet. The spicy fried chicken was amazing! So much flavor, perfect (not overpowering) spice level and moist and juicy! For the sides, the garlic roasted red potatoes and dirty rice were super tasty! The ladies at the counter were very friendly and the gentleman walking around clearing tables was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this spot!!!

Hands down the best buffet I've ever eaten 🙌! They serve a wide variety of "southern-style" food (catfish, chicken, different greens, legendary mashed potatoes w/ that bombastic 💣 gravy 😋! Don't even get me started on the brownies... Yo grandma don't make better brownies than this! Anybody that's been there will tell you. They also have soft serve ice cream w/ peach or apple cobbler for dessert. My personal favorite is the catfish w/ a side of dirty rice. Their dirty rice has green onions in it accentuating the beef & giving it a robust flavor your taste buds will want more of. Reasonably priced too.

Great tasting food, especially the fried fish and biscuits. There is an ATM in the restaurant but they do not take credit/debit cards for payment so bring cash with you to avoid paying those ATM fees. It was busy when we visited, we ended up getting to go buffets. I wish they would move to a bigger location to allow more customers to dine in. Despite the flaws, Cajuns is the place to go if you want some good southern food.

I don't know how anyone can rate this place anything less than 5 stars across the board. The food is hot and fresh. The employees are kind. They are constantly cleaning. It's one of my family's favorites when we just want some comfort food.

This is the best place for fried chicken in Mississippi!!! Not only the chicken, but everything on the buffet has amazing flavor! I would compare their food quality and flavor to Mama Hamil's in Madison, MS. Great food! I will eat here again the next time I'm in Gulfport!

The food was really good. Only 13 dollars per person for the buffet. They have spicy and mild fried chicken, fried catfish, fried chicken livers, sliced melon such as honey dew. Beets, coleslaw, biscuits, yeast rolls, mashed potatoes, red beans, rice, dirty rice, greens, corn on the cob, cooked carrots, baked beans, fried okra, peach and blackberry cobbler, brownies, cookies, and soft serve ice cream.

The best food and great value. Only bad thing is it's always full and hard to get a seat. They need a bigger dining room and parking lot. But it's definitely worth the hassle. The food is amazing.

If you are close to Gulf Springs, Mississippi this is a hidden gem! If you like soul food, make sure you stop and try it out! It is off the beaten path a little, but we'll worth it. It is a buffet and cash only. They had an ATM close. This by far was the best food I had on our mini vacation!

We didnt know it was a buffet too, so that was cool...but my only problems with there was the little variety of food they had for just about the price of golden corral & as a person from Louisiana there are some things in the dishes themselves they could improve on to be more authentic. Dat chicken was bomb dough !

You must stop here when visiting Gulfport, you must have cash because they don't accept any cards. Now, to the good part. Both the blackberry and apple cobbler was hot and delicious! The catfish was perfectly seasoned and fried. And if I'm correct the Cajun rice was awesome! The sweet tea was, oh so sweet and tasty! Both the spicy and mild fried chicken was super crunchy and juicy! And all the staff was so professional and attentive and kept the buffet line full.

I was in gulfport on work assignment. Dining choices was decent. Since i was in the area for nearly a year, i almost ran out of places to eat. I came across this place and tried it. This place is a bargain! All you can eat fried chicken, catfish, and many, many sides and desserts for under $9 bucks is way too good of a value for your money! Their fried chicken is good and always freshly cooked, seasoned right but nothing too fabulous about it. Same goes for the fish. This place can feed you really well. Sides, salads, rolls and desserts are plenty. The dining area and rest rooms are clean. I especially would like to mention the friendly staff that made the experience homey. This place is four stars overall and i will be coming back mostly for the value for money factor.

The ladies are all very good at their positions there on Pass Road. They know how to make those biscuts, and rolls perfectly . Chicken is fried nicely. Chicken livers arent salted and thickly battered. Maybe someone else is cooking them. Great place for fry chicken. Thank you all.

The food here is AWESOME! Home cooked southern style cooking. Most of the time, it's standing room only. People waiting in line before the door opens to get in for a seat. The Dining area can be crowded at times, but that makes the place. For the price, the quality of the food succeeds the price. It's a place me and my family will continue to visit anytime and everytime we're on the coast.

I gave them a 3. (not because of the food) The reason being that the past 2 times we have been there they were vacuuming in the dining room full of guests. It is unhealthy and impossible to conversate normally. What a shame! Ruins the experience. I'm sure the Health Department wouldn't approve. We went again last week. There were no vacuum cleaners in the dining room. That was a relief. The food on the buffet was fresh. Although it was a packed house, we were able to get a table right away. There was a lady who was bussing tables and seating people as quickly as possible. I love their food. I will always be a returning customer. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

The food is good especially the fried chicken and biscuits. However, the restaurant is dirty-old dirty carpet that you can see haven’t been washed or clean and there were food crumps everywhere on the floor. Dust around the windows and table where we sit. They also do not accept debit/credit cards. Cash only. 😏

The food is great but the atmosphere is very “fast food.” I went for lunch. They have an AWESOME selection of sides and fixin’s, and had a just fine experience but it was pretty frenetic and full of people. So if you’re looking for an alternative to fast food like Popeyes this is it, but if you were looking for more of an old school done in, this isn’t that.

However, the dining area was quite warm on the day I was there, so I found it hard to eat very much at all and did not feel I got my moneys worth. I just find it difficult to eat in a hot room. They don't accept any forms of payment except cash, which I was not aware of because I had never been here before. They also did not have any type of visible sign posted up with this information on it. So to anyone else on the planet besides me that carries a card as a form of payment and did not know this was a cash only establishment, DON'T GO IN WITHOUT CASH. We found this place by accident. We drove by, the parking lot was so full, it caught our a attention. We thought of the locals like it that much, it should be good. We were right, it was better than good ! Good was hit fresh and great. Also it was a great deal for the price. We watched the workers. They were masked and gloved up. Tables were sanitized. Great food stop if you're in Gulfport, Mississippi! They have fried chicken, livers, and cat fish. They had a large selection of sides. To finish off your meal they have a few desserts. I recommend you come on an empty stomach. I highly recommend this place! The traffic during lunch time was heavy -so get there early or wait till after lunch crowd.

Just, "so-so". The fried chicken is nothing special. I believe why people are raving so much about it, is because it's "all-you-can-eat", at a fair price of $9.99. It certainly was crowded, but then again, it's a TINY place inside with small sitting area, that resembles a greasy spoon restaurant. The workers were pleasant enough, and service was fine, too, as they were attentive. Other items on the buffet are HEAVY food like mashed potatoes, gravy, beans & rice, fried okra. There was cole slaw, and apple cobbler & peach cobbler for dessert, along with a soft serve machine and toppings available, all included in the buffet. If you're in to heavy, bland-tasting food, and looking to "fill-up", then it's a good deal, if you're really hungry. BUT... don't expect it to be the HIGH quality of Popeye's, as I tried the "spicy" chicken, and it wasn't spicy, nor had any flavoring of spice. That's why I say, just "so-so", run-of-the-mill fried chicken place.

Everything is absolutely excellent always. I’m a great cook n know what good food supposed to taste like n these people are on it. I eat here 2-3 times a week because I can’t cook cheaper & I drive from hattiesburg. My only problem is it’s so busy they can’t stock up the buffet fast enough to feed the people that’s already seated but constantly selling buffets to people coming in. Management needs to do a better job and make better decisions on very busy days.Other than that 50 kudos

Great chicken and a lot more. Very fast turnover, so the chicken is always fresh and hot. Lunchtime is very busy and parking is scarce, but don’t let that keep you away. No need to dress up and everyone is always welcome. Kids friendly too. I plan another visit later in the week. I guarantee that you won’t leave hungry. Enjoy the experience, I always do.

Good country food. It has really good fried chicken and tons of veggies on the buffet. The only reason I didn't put a five star is for 2 reasons. Not enough room so if there busy have to wait for someone to leave to get a seat and they're very busy at lunch. Also better get some cash they don't take cards. The building is very easy to drive past, and not particularly fancy inside, but once inside the employees were very friendly and professional. The chicken is always served fresh, and is amazingly good for an inexpensive buffet. I enjoyed pretty much everything else, especially the catfish and redbeans. The dirty rice was a bit salty, but not bad. After finishing far to much food, I would recommend the apple pie -- if you have any room left!

This restaurant gets a 4 only because it is small. The chicken was fabulous but there could be more sides. The mashed potatoes were not that great but if you drowned them in gravy they're are passable. I must give the staff a A+ ; they are friendly and eager to make sure your experience is a good one. I bought 2 liver pks.. got home and broke open the larger livers as l always do to check for blood, and yeah they looked a little bloody inside. That's why l don't eat any until l get home, because l can eat the smaller ones, and l can Microwave the Big ones, as you should know a microwave cooks the center of such things, making them edible, ldo the same to Fried Chicken. Plus you can microwave some of the grease out of the livers and chicken if you set them on napkins and paper towels..

Food is always good basic southern. Tonight we got there a little later than usual and we could tell the difference. I realize that they were closing at 8:00 but it wasn't quite 7:00 so we thought it would be fine. We left there at 7:50. Food was pulled from the line. The ice cream machine was turned off. Omg!!!!! If you like simple, but great mixture this is your place. This is a comfort food place literally. However, every hot food is seasoned to the taste. They have two flavors of fried chicken mild and spicy. It is a buffet, but don't expect golden corral size, however it's a mini version because the food there is amazing and a fraction of the cost. The buffet is only 8.99 and you can go back for seconds. So, it's a win win. I knew it would be great when we barely could get a table. Customer service was superb!!!!!!!!!

Great price for an all you can eat buffet. Lots of choices for sides which are really good and tasty. Offers fried fish, fried chicken livers, and fried chicken in mild and spicy. Two draw back..... first, seating when the establishment is very tight especially when its a packed house as it was during criusing the coast weekend but it wasn't a show stopper. Second and a huge one for me is the fact that they don't take debit or credit. They do have a atm machine inside but still. This is only thing that will probably prevent me from returning because i don't like carrying cash.

They have very limited seating and sometimes you might have to wait just a few minutes for a table but it is well worth the wait. Also, the customer service is fantastic. Some of the best chicken livers I've ever had. Period. This is a mom and pop buffet at a great price. Most of the food was pretty good. Dirty rice was great. Mashed potatoes were kinda generic though. Nice people. Really polite. The only thing I would be able to deduct is for it being cash only. They have an ATM there so you can draw money out but do not take cards at all which is not too bad but kinda inconvenient. Other than that, delicious Cajun food at a great price! Would recommend to visitors looking for a taste of the Cajun coast.

Has a descent size buffet for their price. The fried chicken was about the only thing to write home about... Greens tasted as they weren't cleaned properly nor seasoned right. Carrots looked canned and seasoned with sugar? Fried fish and okra even looked dry and looked as they sat too long. Bland dirty rice. I was definitely let down as i was looking forward to some real down home cooking by reading the positive reviews. Being the place is as small as if it had the right manager or management team this place has great potential.

OMG! We saw the signs for a fried chicken buffet and laughed. We were told it was good so we tried it. WOW is all I can say. This is the best food you can get and there is a lot of variety in town. The chicken is awesome, super hot fresh and not greasy. The biscuit are too much. I love to see the ladies cooking Everything from scratch. No cans are opened here. They are not fancy and can be crowded but it's worth it. Everyone that works there has always been very helpful. I would suggest to bring cash because that's all they take. This is a must stop!!!

Spicy and mild fried chicken, fish, livers, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, red means and rice, biscuits, and a lot more! There is even a dessert bar with ice cream. Seating can sometimes be tight because a lot of people eat here and the lobby is not that big. My only question is why don't they build more locations????

Other than having to wait approximately 20 minutes in the drive-thru for a 2-piece, dark, mild, with 2 orders of red beans & rice, every other day when I go, the food is great. A suggestion from an investor to a potentially great company [Restaurant Brands International ($RBI)]: May I suggest widening your drive-thru at every Popeyes to dual lanes? I understand you already have plans to prepare for any sudden influx of new customers, but have yet to hear anything about widening the drive-thru. There is an apparent bottleneck in your Top Line. I have witnessed countless potential customers leaving the drive-thru and exiting the premises due to something in the ordering process taking so long. I myself was one of those customers on a few occasions. McDonald's widened their drive-thru lane from one to two, and so has other companies, such as Arby's, in several of their locations. Please consider this, as I am a huge fan of Popeyes chicken and red beans & rice. I eat it every other day. 😏 But sometimes, the wait is just too long. And just as in the world of investing: when the costs outweigh the benefits, it's time to shop for a better value elsewhere. When $RBI decides to widen the drive-thru at Popeyes to dual lanes, I will readjust my rating from 3 Stars to 5. And when that oh-so-loved famous Chicken Sandwich comes back out again, you're going to wish you did have dual- lanes. 😆

My husband has heard from several people that Cajuns Chicken is the place to go to on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for chicken and fish for a decent price. So, today we went there for lunch. The place was packed, and we very quickly learned why. The food was excellent, presented well, and sold for a modest price (less than $20 for the two of us, and it was all you can eat!). Not only was the food good, but there was a good selection of food available for us to choose from. We WILL be back, and soon! We live in Indiana and visited Biloxi and Gulfport for a getaway. Instead of seafood today we wanted soul food. So I remembered the sign on the benches and I looked them up High ratings so we decided to give them a try. Great decision. Lunch buffet is awesome. Everything was piping hot and cooked till done. And the apple cobbler was delicious. My wife doesn't eat cobbler but she LOVED it. It takes a lot for me to give 5 stars because I cook. I definitely would recommend.

They do have an ATM on site, but an embarrassing and awkward way to pay for dinner especially if you don't see the tiny sign that says " CASH ONLY." You pay, then stand and wait for a table like a vulture. When you get your table, you then put your food choices into a Styrofoam plate and eat it with plastic utensils. Nothing about this place is environmentally sustainable. As for the food, it was just okay. As for the whole experience, I think we would have enjoyed a fried chicken dinner from Food Giant's deli more.

I give it a 3 not for the food or service but for the parking lot. They are not following the ADA regulations for handicap parking spaces. They have 1 space as you come in and regs state you must have 1 to 25 spaces and 1 van handicap for that amount. I took my husband there to eat today and place was packed. No parking when we pulled off pass rd so we pulled around back to other side for me to get enough room to unload his wheelchair on side of parking lot. Then we had to walk all the way back around the building to allow him access to building as no way to get on siewalk from the side we parked on. I am 65 and disabled and my husband in w/c post stroke is hard enough without having to deal with this kind of uncaring.

Cajuns is a great family place ,food will not disappoint well staffed friendly atmosphere ,jus a good down home place to be,I would recommend it to out of towners ,best dollar spent for a full meal., the only thing I dislike is they don't except credit cards everyone don't carry cash and don't want to pay extra fees to use ATM MACHINE COME ON CAJUN DO A LITTLE PAPER WORK ❤️🤗

The was the second time we'd visited the Biloxi area and we attempted not to duplicate any restaurants eaten at before, except for this one. We made sure to go again because of our previous experience. It's a leisurely non-tourist feel where it seems as many local eat as do visitors. The sounds from the kitchen, replenishing the containers on the food line, the conversations at the tables, etc. Like the feel of going to a great baseball game - the food is great and the experience is memorable. Next time near Biloxi..... we'll be back again. 🙂

I was going to go with 4 stars but after the staff lied to me I can not do that. I sat there for 2 hours waiting on fish. I was told multiple times fish was cooking. The 5th trip up there another staff member told me there is no fish cooking they where changing out the oil. This is so diappointing. Who ever is managing this place needs to talk with their staff and pay more attention.
