Very good food. Good whiskey selection. We got into our reservation right away. There are a lot of gluten free choices. Even the deserts are. I had seared scallops and walleye. Highly suggest coming here.

My husband and I stopped by for a date night while in from out of town. He had the salmon and I had the duck, and we both agree it was some of the best food we've ever had. Attentive service and wonderful mocktail offerings as well!

Higher end place to dine. Very clean. Not overly priced especially given the quality of their food. Definitely would go again. My husband and I both got the filet mignon and couple appetizers that were also delicious. The dessert was okay. Overall a great experience and excellent service per usual. Recommend giving this place a try if you have not yet.

Excellent food and an awesome staff! The atmosphere of this restaurant is very nice. This is definitely a great place for a date night. I had the shrimp alfredo pasta and it was amazing! We made reservations and got seated right away when we showed up.

Enjoyed wonderful drinks, great service and amazing food. I haven't had quite a mea like this since being back in the states this place is a treasure. We had the Duck Breast, Duck Confit Carbonara, Burrata and Seared Sea Scallops. Drinks were and Old Fashioned and the Vesper.

It’s definitely fine dining. The service is a bit slow, and oh man it’s loud there. Food is 9/10, but atmosphere for me is awful. We had people around us so loud talking and it ruined the experience for us. Otherwise it was as advertised. Food is delicious, chefs there are great at unique dishes that just work somehow.

The best food I’ve had in quite a while! The service was wonderful. The servers and hostess were so friendly and professional. They were fast to refill drinks and to take away our empty dishes. They knew the menu well and were easy to talk with. The food was phenomenal! My husband had the Duck breast and he enjoyed how well cooked it was, he described it as melting in his mouth. I had the Fettuccine - the noodles were made there- and the flavor was out of this world. It is a more expensive restaurant, but for the quality of food and service we got, it was well worth it! We plan on making this a yearly anniversary date place.

Service was great, every time my water glass got even close to empty it got filled, food was amazing they gave me a knife to cut my tenderloin it wasn’t needed due to how tender it was and I don’t know what they did to the cauliflower, I could have eaten a pound of it. The atmosphere was great and the decor was on point, I would leave 10 stars if it were possible

Eating the cuisine here is like a fantasy experiencw. Your dining here is easily worth driving long distances to self-indulge yourself and those you want to impress. If you have money to jet here, yes....you need to add this to your flight plan. Worldclass hostess, attentive friendly wait staff and even more special divinely plated cuisine. Give this chef a Michelin rating.

We made our reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night. It was lively and it filled up nicely during our time there. I am definitely happy we had reservations. We started off with the Blackend Shrimp for our appetizer. I liked the spice and the presentation. Next, she had a Ceasar Salad and I had the Soup. I recall it was made with red pepper, chicken and cauliflower. That description doesn't do it justice. For entrees she had the White Pesto Bucatini and I had the Citrus Braised Short Rib. Afterwards, we had the Flourless Chocolate Cake. From the moment we stepped through the door to the time we left, we had one of the best dining experiences I can recall. Impeccable service and absolutely delicious food. Can't wait to make it back to Mezzaluna again!

Ambiance, service and food were all spot on. Went here for a business dinner and I'm glad we went there even when Fargo was at -30C. Worth the drive in snow and utter cold weather. The vegan chef special was good. The desserts were the highlight for me. Apple crisp and creme brulee were both hitting the right spot at the end too complete a wonderful evening.

Mezzaluna does not have any vegetarian specific dishes — instead you will have to remove meat from item(s) which felt lackluster. Beyond that the staff were nice and had an overall good time.

Amazing food and service. Ordered an old fashioned and glass of resiling - both were terrific. Also got the chili crisp fries and fried feta to start. I have to say that the chili crisp fries were absolutely out of this world and the portion was massive. They were addicting! We both ordered the shrimp fettuccine. My only critique (and reason for 4 stars) is that my shrimp were quite small compared to the ones my boyfriend received with his fettuccine. Will be back again!

The overall experience at Mezzaluna was simply outstanding! The staff were all amazing and the food was so good I made yummy noises every time I took a bite. I had a chili rubbed pork tenderloin with cauliflower and a some kind of aioli. It must not be on the menu any more because I wanted to be more specific and couldn't find it online. My friends also had amazing meals. We left very full and very happy.

This place was insanely good! I've heard rumors for years but people only seem to go on special occasions, go any day of the weak, you will not be disappointed. Our server nick must be telekinetic because the second we had and empty plate or a decision to make, he was there.

The atmosphere is a very welcoming and warm place with a darker and more subtle lighting. I started witha soup of the day which was amazing. The spice to it was present yet not over welcoming and did not subtract from the other flavors at all. It was garnished with small thin tortilla strips, and a small salsa mix in the same manner and cilantro. The consistency of the soup was rich and creamy which mixed well when you added the salsa and tortilla strips. It paired quite well with a blanc.

Stellar service, flavorful food, and cozy atmosphere. The drinks are a bit hit or miss for me, but the food has consistently satisfied -- even dishes that are just "okay" are above average for dining out in Fargo. With robust flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture (I recommend the pork belly especially on this front), Mezzaluna is sure to provide a great date night, dinner party, or single dining experience.

I visit this restaurant when I am in town. The last time I was here was about 2 years ago. They just remodeled the restaurant and it looks very contemporary. When I arrived for my reservation, the table was ready with a menu and a glass of water. Anna was my waitress. She did a great job! I ordered the citrus braised short ribs. The citrus flavor was very different but good. This place is a definite must in downtown Fargo.

Nice atmosphere, the music was surprisingly tasteful. Food definitely over priced but decent portions. Great place for birthday dinner but would not recommend bringing kids. No kids menu and the only option is a $30+ Mac n cheese... which are flat noodles not macaroni noodles...

Celebrated New Years Eve here and couldn't be happier. The friendly waitstaff, beautiful ambiance and happy hour prices made the good food and drink even better. We enjoyed the lobster bisque, scallops, (special) oysters on the half, artisan cheese plate (12-15 different items on it, and perfect for a group), all of which were prepared perfectly. Highly recommend!

Warm ambiance, very pleasant service, all in my party enjoyed the food. Butternut squash lasagna delicious. Free parking on the street, we were there on a Wednesday night so I don't know if that would be the case on the weekend or during the day.

I’ve been coming here since it opened and it is fantastic every time I go! Every aspect of the dining experience is 10-star, the drinks, the food, the atmosphere- it is all top notch. The staff is I the best you will find- very personable, very knowledgeable about their product, and passionate about what they do. You will always see the same smiling faces every time you walk in. If you attend with some frequency it starts to feel like eating at a friend’s house - with some of the best food and libations you will find. If you have not been here yet, make it a point of going- I have yet to find something that I didn’t like in all of my time there.

I had duck breast (gf), with a savory alcohol drink. My wife had the chef's soup, that changes everyday, I think. We shared a starter, chili crisp fries (gf), very tasty. Please dress nice for this place, make reservations, you will spend some money, and enjoy the atmosphere with great service.

I have been wanting to eat here for 8 years, but I was not impressed. The quality was there, but not the work. The server was nice, but the service was awkward/improper. The drinks were made with quality ingredients, but they tasted off. The food was good, but bland and unexciting. The duck was over cooked, dry, and flavorless. The filet mignon was not as tender as it should have been while being slightly burnt and flavorless. It was not worth the price. I will not go out of my way to eat here again.

My wife and I celebrate our anniversarys by going to a fine dining establishment. This year it was Mezzaluna and also our first time there. Since moving to this area 6 years ago, some of the most memorable places have been Rustica, Maxwells, Porter Creek , Spanky's Fire House Grill by Vergas which were all very good but we both agree that Mezalunna is the best so far and may become our go to restaurant. We shared the Crispy Chili Fries (addictive to say the least) with a great beer. We then shared the Butter lettuce and Frisee Salad.. delicious... our entrees were the Pork tenderloin and the Seared Salmon which were over the top and followed by the Flour less Chocolate cake for dessert... yummo! From the hostess Olivia, our waiter Justin and the servers, a most memorable time. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone.

Overall this was the best meal I've had in Fargo. The steak was great, well seasoned with an excellent char, I ate every bite. My girlfriend got the Bison meatloaf, I had a bite it was excellent. The highlight of the meal may have been the Buratta with grill peaches and prosciutto, what a great way to start our meal. With alcohol our bill was just over $100, I would have expected to spend close to double that amount in another city. You should go here.

Came here on a solo trip to Fargo. Made a last minute reservation and the person on the phone taking taking was very friendly. The bar was a nice setup, and the bar tender was helpful in guiding me through their drinks and the menu. Once I sat down, the server was very attentive and personable. Food was fantastic - I had a four course meal and each course was solid and a perfect portion - not too much, not too little. It definitely wasn't cheap, but the cost was less than I expected and I found it to be a reasonable value for the meal I had received. Would definitely go back again.

Virtually perfect in every way. The only way they could make it better is if it was free. Everything I have had there has been excellent and they take reservations. Restrooms are on lower level so take the elevator down one floor to get there. Here for a work/interview dinner. Atmosphere just right, not too loud, not too quiet. Attentive service. Menu could be a little more fishy/specials but OK. Presentations exquisite. Had a really nice rack of lamb. Everyone happy with beverages/food.

Just perfect in every way. Super good filet mignon perfect at medium rare. I do wish diners would not cackle and be loud. In France, people eat quietly and respect others and use "their inside voices". It's not management's fault. They pay close attention to every detail in the food. Our server was very attentive.

We love this place! It's always a sure bet for celebrations or anytime. The appetizer scallops, while not many, were scrumptious. The meat and cheese board was fun to try different pairings. Cocktails were first rate. Both the filet and the duck were divine. Flourless chocolate cake was very good, but too rich for me.

Food was delicious. Service was polite. Seating was bad ... 2 of us sat in the comfy clam seat and the other two were in separate seats pushed away from each other and against the table because other seating was too close to us. Even more awkward was whenever a waiter tried to come by us, we had to constantly readjust our seats. The temperature was really cold for us that sat in separate seats. Lighting was really dark. We were seated in the back of the restaurant and had made reservations earlier that week. Decor was okay, the clam seats was pretty hokey. Was happy to finally eat here because I heard such great things about the food, which was good. Just the rest I was disappointed with.

The staff is usually very helpful. My meals here have always been hit or miss. Most likely just personal preference on my part. For instance the cheese plate is always amazing. The bison meatloaf is also very good but too rich for my taste. The truffle fries, also good but very rich. Don't order them unless you have someone, or three, to share with. Last time I was there I had the Duet of Duck. The leg was fantastic but the breast was just too greasy and funny tasting. The creamed farro was also not great tasting. The pickled rhubarb, while interesting, was very strong. Like I said, some people may find it wonderful, but my personal preference didn't really enjoy it. But my wife has always loved her meals. She had the salmon and said it was wonderful.

Our server Colin was fantastic. He was funny, knowledgeable and courteous. Even tolerated a little indecision from my Fiance with compassion and helpful tips on the menu. We split an app which was fantastic, the filet was the best I've had, and we both even managed a desert. It was all well worth it. Oh, and, the bourbon sour I had was perfect. I travel a lot and usually gauge the city ny their bourbon sour. This one was top tier. You'll spend some money but you'll have an excellent meal.

Only OK. Everything was just a little off, not enough to be bad, but not great. Bread with the cheese plate and charcuterie was cold and seemed almost stale. Lemon cake dessert was pretty flavorless and lacked any lightness or brightness I would expect from lemons, although the accompanying lemon sorbet was amazing. Our server was good, but after very clearly telling her that my partner had a nut allergy, the server didn't think to mention that there were nuts on the dessert. The burger was a rather soggy mess, but the flavor was fine. The fries were not crisp and fresh, but they were OK. Again, nothing was exactly bad but thoroughly underwhelming. They have some great cocktails and a good atmosphere, but I'm just not excited to go back there to eat.

Fantastic food, delicious cocktails, awesome happy hour specials, and great service... if I didn't use enough adjectives to convince you to go, then nothing will ;) Mezzaluna consistently serves some of the best food and drink in the city. It's upscale, so if you're wanting to celebrate a special occasion or have a fancy night out, it's perfect. But the happy hour specials make it reasonable for after-work drinks and bites, too.

The host met us at the door and had us seated under 2 minutes. Our waitress Mandy was attentive without suffocating. The setting was beautiful, and the food was excellent. For a reasonably priced elegant treat you cannot do better downtown than Mezzaluna!

Amazing atmosphere, service and food. We stopped for half priced apps and drinks for Happy Hour and really enjoyed the experience. The truffled grilled cheese was amazing, the smoked beet tartare was average (good, but nothing really stood out for flavor) and the seared sea scallops melted in my wife's mouth. The place was packed by 6 on a Friday night. Another patron we started a conversation with said that the excellent service came from a staff assembled from the best of the high end restaurants downtown. Had an excellent dinner at Mezzaluna. The duet of duck was outstanding, in particular it is served medium rare (I humbly believe that rare would have been even better). Chocolate dessert was also very good, with a strong chocolate taste and not too much sugar as often. Friendly and efficient service.

We celebrated our 4th Anniversary there last night and could not have had a better experience anywhere. From our greeting to our wonderful waitress Nina and everyone else on staff made us feel so welcome and pampered without being intrusive. The food was excellent as well. This is not our first time there and certainly will not be our last!

I love coming to Mezzaluna with my friends because the atmosphere is so calm, the staff goes above and beyond, and the food is some of the best in Fargo. I don't like meatloaf, but I've told everyone how much I love their meatloaf. I recommend getting a drink as well because their bartenders are so knowledgeable about how flavors will interact with each other to make the perfect drink!

One of my favorite restaurants because the menu is always diverse with interesting things and, well, it's in Fargo... I've been going here for years and anyways had great service and quality of food. It's out lasted several high end restaurants around it and for good reason, they care.

Fantastic food and drink - wonderful sangria in the summer. It tends to be very busy and noisy, but the service is good, though you may have a fairly long wait for a table. But the bar is hopping and the crowd is about as hip as Fargo gets, though on the mature side (but NOT old). Very pleasant for a date night, or just because.

Kayla was absolutely fantastic with her prompt service, knowledge of the menu and specials and a warm personality which made us truly feel like guests. Their happy hour is so far above par for other downtown venues--the cheese plate is worth double what they charge and it's half off during happy hour!! Their bartenders are true mixologists and not just dumping craft beer in a glass. Atmosphere and clientele are above average so treat yourself and visit Mezzaluna soon and often!

This place is amazing. There was so many awesome drinks to order from, so our server said he would surprise me with a drink and it was amazing and very well made (it was a flambéed whiskey drink that I can't remember the name of it sadly). My friends and I felt very welcome and even though we weren't dressed up (we had street clothes on) we weren't treated any differently (I say this because I've been to some place in the cities that had amazing decor like here but they treated us like peasants but not here!). All in all the drinks were amazing, the food is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the environment just breathes sophistication. I will definitely be coming here again.

Generally very good. Our server made some fantastic recommendations. We had a Barolo that was fantastic. The bolognese was awesome, but the lamb wasn't that great. I love a good lamb dish, but this was pretty tough, and not much meat for the amount of bone served up. The Olive oil lemon cake was out of this world. All in all...a good experience, but I'd pass on the lamb and go for the bolognese.

Very good food and nice / considerate servers, but it's getting kind of old always being pushed off to the bar when dining alone. I guarantee I spend as much or more by myself as most couples. I don't go for the cheapest item on the menu, nor do I shy away from the appetizers and the desert. As a matter of fact, I don't think I have ever had a bill under $80.00. Is that really not worth letting me sit at a table?

I have only been to a handful of restaurants in Fargo, but I would guess that this is as formal of a restaurant that the town has to offer. Menu items are pricey, but the atmosphere, service, and food and drink is worth it. Four of us ordered four different menu items, and each one was outstanding.

We love this restaurant and it’s always our place for a date night. Unfortunately lately it’s been disappointing. Last time I went there are drinks with a friend the server continued to pressure us to buy a bottle when we refused multiple times. Then last weekend we made reservations for happy hour before the blenders. I was told we would get bar prices and sit in the uppper level. We were seated in the dinner room and asked about happy hour, the server asked and got us the prices; however her attitude the rest of night was borderline friendly and she acted like we were demanding asking about happy hour reservations which we’ve done numerous times. Food was amazing however the service has been subpar lately.

The drinks: we had an assortment of cocktails, and while I totally forgot the names of any of them (which is ok, because the happy hour drinks seem to change frequently), they were all really, really good. At around $7 each, they were also a great value. The food: everything we had was amazing. I will start out with the "bruschetta," which should really be labeled as a charcuterie plate, as that's how it's presented (quite few different meats and assorted roasted/picked veggies, plus some bread)...whatever it's called on the menu, it's absolutely amazing. We also really enjoyed the walleye tacos (also super yummy), the seared tuna (a smaller dish but also really tasty), and the happy hour burger + sweet potato tots (absolutely HUGE for $7.50).

Good service, awesome food! The drinks we got (Pimmlet and an apple-based bartender's special) were fabulous. I got the Scotch eggs and scallops, which were on a bed of some sort of delicious puree. It tasted like a creamy tomato soup. The scallops were yummy. The Scotch eggs are good if you like chorizo. My boyfriend got the flank steak. It was super tasty. However, save room for dessert. Seriously. We got the coconut bread pudding, and it was jaw-droppingly good. If it's happy hour, definitely go. I would definitely come back!

The Service is simply outstanding: Our Server, Hannah, was intelligent, personable, perfectly attentive, and expert in all of her duties, from beginning to end. I strongly suggest requesting a table in Hannah's section when you book your reservation. 5-Star food across the board too: Be sure to try the bruschetta appetizer, which is done like no other. Mezzaluna has my highest recommendation. The Service at this restaurant is almost reason enough to make a trip to Fargo.

Sometime last year during a dark blue period I adopted a young african boy off of the television for as little as $5 a month. We never really met, we never really spoke and we surely hadn't ever bonded. It only made the blues darker and the nights longer. I wanted to change that, mostly for my own ego, as I suspected he had no idea where all of this loose change was flowing in from. I received a photograph of "Mansuila" in the post after my first contribution to his new life and felt firm about taking it with me for a dinner alone to mend our ideas over a cool and cohesive diner. We started with the Korv Sausage, Masuila was taken a back by the distribution of flavours. Poor people often only get the model the tongues taste buds active during each meal, I am sure that his whole tongue must have been a buzz with delight. He couldn't handle the next dish we ordered and freaked out a bit, or the photo did. We had a sharp direct conversation where I threatened to stop exchanging my empty bottles to put him through school and feed his entire family. The night was a bust but the dishes were a must. Not necessarily a great place for your first meal in America but it is an amazing place to share and bond none the less. 127/127 would do again!
