Wow. This is definitely the best Indian restaurant in North Dakota, if not the best Asian restaurant. Their "super casual" demeanor makes it easy on the customer and the food comes out within minutes of ordering it (not an exaggeration). Their mango Lassi and juice are fresh from the mango. Their butter chicken is extremely good. And finally, their chicken Tikka kabob is the best! Everything was tender, their garlic nann is plentiful, and the owner's son is super polite. If you're on the fence about restaurants, come here.

The best Indian food I have ever had. The veggie samosa appetizer came out so quickly. The chicken curry (medium spicy) with rice was so delicious especially paired with fresh, homemade naan and a beer!! Friendly service too!!

It's a bit more expensive than Passage to India but it's because they put more meat in one meal than the other restaurant does. Really two people could share one serving if you add extra rice. They're food is also higher quality and they are the nicest people on earth. The restaurant is very beautiful and quiet inside and the service is exquisite. I highly recommend going here for dinner!

WOW!!!!!! SOME OF THE BEST FOOD IN THE FM AREA! From price, to service, to quality, to portions and the FLAVOR!!!!! Its homemade and you can tell. If you go home hungry and dissatisfied, you dont like food. The owner is super friendly and helpful. Their food was superb!!! We will definitely be back and refer many! One of the best restaurants ive been to in a while. Thank you for the experience and deliciousness . Kicking myself as we should have come to this lovely place sooner!

Great food and comfortable atmosphere. I had the #4 and they made the sauce dairy free for me which was really pleasing. The bread was wonderful, the rice soaked up the sauce well, and the chicken really hit the taste buds right. Very pleased and will return/recommend.

The food was great, the service was quick. Didn’t think the price/food ratio was fair especially after they told me you gonna have so much food but I understand the food prices are going up everywhere and someone has to pay for it. Plus didn’t put any napkins in the bag.

The pakoras are one of our favorites. People should always get naan. We prefer the garlic naan but the others are also delicious. We have eaten Indian food in Chicago, LA and Las Vegas and this is as good or better than any of them.

Best Indian food!!! I've had a lot of Indian food before and this is one of the top ones I've had, anywhere! We stopped here on a road trip and found this gem for lunch buffet. It was a typical selection for Indian buffets but the stand out was the goat in curry sauce! It had just the right amount of lean and fat. The texture was terrific and very tasty. The spinach was also excellent with just the right amount of spice. The host was very passionate and friendly. Greeted us right away and showed us around on the buffet. You can tell he was proud (and rightfully so) of the food. If this was closer to home, I would go out of my way to eat here.... but 2000 miles is a bit much to drive for any restaurant.

The food was awesome! I had the lamb makhani butter. It’s not easy finding good Indian cuisine but this place does it right. I tried the Taj Mahal Indian beer for the first time and it was good. Our server was very friendly and did an awesome job. Wish I would of got his name.

I went here with my two daughters for the first time and didn’t know what to order. I asked the waiter Harpal what he would recommend. He suggested Chai Tea, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Tikka Kabob and White rice. It was AMAZING. To put it another way we got so lost in all the flavors that we all ate way to much. For desert we had Gulab Jaman with Ice Cream. Again AMAZING. The staff was fantastic, restaurant was spotless. Ya we will go back and can’t wait. I hope that everyone will go see Harpal at one of the best restaurant that I have eaten at. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. And yes we will be back.

We ate here while visiting family over the holidays. It was worth the drive. Food was amazing authentic Indian flavor. Ordered the Ka-Rara the spice was perfect. Substituted the rice for cauliflower to cut out carbs for keto. It was so good. Wife loved it as well. She ordered the curry chicken. It was a little pricey but definitely worth it.

Shrimp Ka-Rara: This meal is the best thing I’ve had in a long time. Firstly, the shrimp is meaty and large with a slight taste of the ocean so you know it’s fresh not frozen but not overpoweringly fishy. It paired perfectly with this coconut dish. With real roasted coconut to increase the coconut flavor. This meal was not lacking one thing. I had this with Naan and rice. It is filling and perfect for 2 but it was just me and I ate this delicious meal way too fast wishing in the end a new bowl would appear. This did not disappoint and I would recommend it to everyone. I had it hot and I would get it hotter just so you can truly feel the heat. The perfect dish 5/5 Rice 2/5 it’s just rice but the rice should still taste good Naan 3/5 the butter Naan is good. Wasn’t the best Naan I’ve had. The bread was a little thick and the flavor of the butter was insufficient. Costumer service: the guy is very personable and welcoming. Tells you a bit about the place and how it started! The place is so charming.

It’s a perfect place for the naan and curry lovers. They have a variety of naans . Balti curries and kararas are delicious and a must try dishes here. It’s a authentic Punjabi Indian restaurant. We love this place.

My wife and I went for dinner on Friday night and there was no wait. The Moscato was delightfully sweet and crisp. We ordered the lentil soup, garlic naan, and paneer naan as appetizers. The lentil soup was bursting with amazing flavor, the paneer naan was very good, but the garlic naan was understated and tasted more like regular naan. We had the Makhani (Butter) with lamb and the Mixed Biryani - both at medium spiciness. The Mixed Biryani was relatively mild, and everything was deliciously tender - VERY good flavor. The Makhani was medium spiciness and bursting with amazing flavor and also very tender meat. We were unable to finish either, yet even warmed up the next day everything was delicious and still crazy tender. We will be back - this is now our place for Indian food.

I've had some of the best Indian cuisine in NYC, and this place TOPPED that. I decided to order a few things others have suggested and going by these items, I was floored by the flavor and freshness. Samosa Chaat- 9/10 Absolutely a flavor explosion. It has everything I love in an appetizer. Samosas on the bottom, smothered in an array of delicious chickpeas, red onion, sauces. I only took 1 point off due to ONE single bite that was just a giant hit of ginger. Otherwise it was perfect. I usually eat it with a little rice to make it almost a full meal. Lamb Ka-Rara- 10/10 Mild-Med Spice: I would've gone spicier but I wasn't sure how they handle it and I would say this was closer to mild (I'll try medium spice next). The lamb was so tender and flavorful. The sauce was PERFECTLY balanced. The only downside is even though I want to try other items on the menu, I don't want to NOT order this again! Rice come's with the meal and I will score that separately. Paneer-Naan- 10/10 The perfect bread for the Lamb Ka-Rara . Other places tend to put too much emphasis on herbs on the naan as of late, this lets the Paneer truly shine. I'm glad I bought 2. Bhatura- 10/10 This puffy piece of bread was a great delivery system to the Lamb Ka-Rara as well. Chewy and fried but NOT AT ALL greasy as I would have expected (had to travel from their location to Moorhead side for delivery). Plain Rice-10/10 Like Japanese cuisine, Sushi is all about the rice and that's no different here for the Basmati. Fragrant, cooked perfectly. Perfect addition to any meal that has a nice sauce that needs another delivery system into your face. Overall this might have been the greatest food experience I've had in a very long time. I wish I took pictures but I couldn't stop eating. The portions were large but I ate until I hated myself it was so good. Worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. I pity those who have not tried this place yet. GO THERE NOW. Special mention: One thing I appreciate is how they mark off their order for delivery. You can tell after they put an item in, they put a check mark next to the item on the receipt so they are MAKING SURE you get your food and then staple the bag. Overall Score: 10/10 The only thing I imagine that would make this experience better, is eating there in person. All my reviews are from using delivery services like Doordash or pickup. This may impact the overall quality of the product.

Great Indian food! I had the lamb makhani and garlic naan. It was all delicious! I also had the vegetable samosas to start and their dipping sauces are out of this world! I can't wait to go back and try some other dishes! Service was very prompt and servers were friendly as well. I highly recommend it especially if you have other people to share dishes with as they're served in individual serving dishes that can be easily shared.

Had the gobi manchurian and an order of mango cake I shared with my girlfriend. Delicious food and friendly staff. One thing to note is that we got mild and it was still pretty spicy so consider yourself warned. Not complaining, but very thankful I was convinced not to order medium.

Don't let the description of super casual fool you, this is a good quality restaurant. You pick your own table and can either order from there via your phone or go up to the front desk. However while that might seem casual, and is in truth, their food is anything but. I had their signature curry, Dhamahka, or something along those lines. It was quite good. The service is, in my mind, even better than the food. Very friendly, very helpful. They alao had some lovely Indian songs playing which set the ambiance very nicely.

The server/host was very nice and welcoming and it smelt very nice inside the restaurant. Very casual ordering! The appetizer came out very quickly and was delicious and the entree's came out shortly after. Food was plentiful and delicious and the garlic naan was nice and crispy and tasted great. We ordered from this place for the first time the other day. When I went to pick up the carryout order, the guy was super friendly and welcoming and just had a great energy. Everything was delicious. We tried a few apps, a tea and a couple kinds of Naan. Couple sides, two mains and a dessert. Everything was correct and great. We can't wait to go back and dine in and try more stuff on the menu!

Our first trip here, we tried India Palace on a friend's recommendation. We were beyond impressed! The proprietor was friendly and informative. Wonderful personality. The smell when you walk in the door will have your mouth watering. Our appetizer was on the table almost immediately. Our two different chicken dishes soon followed. I could hardly decide which was more delicious. Don't forget to order some Naan! Can't wait to go back

DO NOT MISS OUT ON INDIA PALACE EVERY time we come to, or pass through Fargo we stop to eat at India Palace. Zero exceptions. Firstly, the service is absolutely incredible. The owner is always present, and he is an awesome guy. We have never once felt like he didn't care about customers or as if he didn't care about the food quality. The food is AMAZING. I cried the first time I ate the Lamb Korma. I apologized to my wife that I will never cook anything as good as the folks at India Palace. I know food. I'm experienced with food from a culinary standpoint and I'm familiar with food being an experience and opportunity for expressiveness the same as any art. The cooks get it. You can bite into any dish and taste the joy. There's no room for negativity in a mouthful of India Palace's rice. I could imagine Julia Child, or Anthony Bourdain, or Gordon Ramsay eating at India Palace and loving it.

Easily the tastiest and highest quality Indian food in Fargo. The care they take to get the food right is impressive. Note the "Super Casual" part in the name. For "Super Casual" the service and atmosphere are 5 stars. But don't think that means it's some mega fancy restaurant. You still get food brought to your table, and the atmosphere is comfortable. First time ordering today online. No dine in service. Ordered at 2:23 and took about 15 minutes to get there and it was perfect timing. Fast service and friendly. And most importantly I love love love everything I bought. Tried a few things since I never been. Also, I choice “medium” for level of hotness for both dishes and it felt spot on. I'm from Valley City and love picking up takeout to bring home when I'm in Fargo. Your restaurant serves the best Indian food I've ever had! I stopped in on Tuesday to order food to bring home to my family after running some errands. The food was prepared quickly (less than a 15 minute wait) AND you included a bonus appetizer (vegetable pakora) as a surprise. It's so hard to drive for nearly an hour with incredible smelling food right next to me in the car, but somehow I managed. My favorite meal (so far) is the Chicken Saag (Palak). Extra spicy! It was made to perfection, as always. I have two teenage boys (nearly 18 and nearly 16) who are picky eaters and they prefer pizza over most anything. So far, I've managed to win the older one over to trying Indian food. I ordered him the Lamb Ka-Rara to try and he said it's his new favorite. I also picked up an extra spicy order of Lamb Rogan Josh, another favorite, for my boyfriend. He's also a huge fan or your food. My younger son is a work in progress and still prefers pizza, but at least he's trying new foods and gave the Garlic Naan, Vegetable Pakora and Kheer two thumbs up. I need to remember to order his food MILD. He isn't quite ready for spicy, so he gave his order of Chicken Saag (Palak) one thumb up, but said it would have been two thumbs up if I hadn't ordered it spicy. I want to say THANK YOU for preparing such incredible food and always making me feel like family when I come to the restaurant. Always such a friendly, happy greeting from the moment I walk in followed by the genuine thank you as I leave with my meals! The entrees are top-notch and very generous! There is enough for two meals every time I order an entree so I know I'll be happy to have leftovers the next day and experience the food joy all over again. I always follow the meal with Kheer. The Scandinavian party of me loves the similarity to rice pudding and it's such a satisfying finish to a lively meal. Anytime someone asks me for a new or different place to try in the Fargo area, especially if it's for Indian or spicy food, India Palace is the first place that I recommend. THANK YOU, my friends, for bringing your amazing food to the Fargo area! Now, if only we could get a restaurant in Valley City. :)

We have been eating here for years and have never had a bad experience. The owner is always friendly and the food is both delicious and authentic - and I say this as someone who spent several weeks in India for work, eating locally prepared food for every meal. The dishes here have the same rich flavors as the food we ate in India, but without leaving our own city. Plus the portions are so generous that we always have leftovers to enjoy again the next day. :) It's frustrating to see people rating this restaurant poorly just because the owner won't reopen the dining room all day for them. Imagine being so entitled that you think you have the right to demand a business owner run their business your way and your way only. I say if you are happy with your new business model, then you keep on with it. We will continue to order takeout and enjoy it in our own home.

Not only is their food among the best we've found, their service is top-notch. A friend and I were stopping by Fargo during our road trip, and we stopped by this place for lunch. The name of the restaurant made me laugh at first because I've never seen "super casual" in a name before. The moment we walked in, I saw a sign saying "super casual dine-in 😎" and I knew we were in for a good time. When we went up to the register to order and pay, I noticed a printout of HODL with pictures of doge, a moon, and an ape. I really hope GME goes to the moon so that this restaurant can thrive even further. As we were waiting to order, the owner's son asked us if we were "ready to order casually" which has become a core memory. We ordered the paneer tikka masala and chicken tikka masala (both medium spice) with garlic naan and a mango lassi. The food came out quite quickly, and was delicious. The lassi was more sour than I expected but still refreshing. The curry was very flavorful and the chicken breast was cooked well. If I ever come back to Fargo, I will definitely hit this place up again. 💎🙌

It was our first time trying Indian food and the guy working there was very friendly and welcoming to us and had some awesome recommendations for us to try, he even threw in a dessert and yogurt dip to try. This is hands down the best restaurant in the area. The service and quality of the food have been excellent every single time we have dined-in, had delivery or picked up an order. The service staff and owners really make you feel like you are eating with family. Every time we have eaten in the restaurant, I always overhear other people praising the food and service. I think I've tried almost every single dish on the menu over the years and each and every one is always excellent. The prices are spot-on and worth every penny. If you are looking for a local restaurant to support during this current pandemic, give this place your patronage, I can guarantee you will be pleased.

We had a group of 16 people, called to reserve early the same day. The owner and his son had everything ready soon after we arrived, help yourself beverages were included including the delish mango yogurt drink, so refreshing! First they served us tandoori chicken legs and breast meat, and the other dishes were served buffet style so everyone could get what they wanted. Our whole group ate with vigor and were happy to have leftovers to take home. The staff was courteous and were happy to take our pictures. This restaurant is the best Indian food in Fargo!!!

You might not expect Fargo to have a plethora of authentic cuisine, and we have our share of American, Fast Food, and chain restaurants. But there is a huge market for eating out here. And among those authentic eateries there are a few average Indian restaurants in Fargo, and two great ones, and this is one of the latter. What you eat tastes like it was shipped in, and they are not stingy on spices. The flavor is wonderful, and they do their best to keep you safe with no eat-in options. Remarkably tasty.

This might be a hard pill for the owner to swallow. In response to the owners reply to one of the low review in only doing delivery service. You guys are going to lose a lot of business. I get that you want to have a better quality of life but this is the life of being a restaurant owner. I have been going to you guys for years. My friends and I go here for your food and after our meal it’s nice to be able to sit and chat. You are taking that experience away and for that it’s going to hurt your business. I can tell the love that you put in your food but it’s really inconvenient for a lot of your customers. Especially customers like me that like to get away from work and come here for lunch. India Palace is easily one of my favorite places to eat in town. I was dining here before the pandemic and our table service was always timely and professional. Since dine-in is no longer an option however I regularly order takeout and the food is always prepared either on time or earlier than expected. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. The food is also very reasonably priced in my opinion. My favorite choice is the Chicken Makhani with plain naan and I swear it feels like homemade quality, it isn't overly oily, the spice isn't overpowering, and I could eat the rice alone for days. I've never regretted ordering from here and I think I can say with confidence anyone who gives it a try will feel the same way.

When I was leaving a tip the employee continually thanked me & said how much the team appreciates it - as someone who spent 3 of the last 4 years working in the food and beverage industry, not leaving a tip never even crossed my mind. AMAZING - Wow! The staff was super friendly, waiting time was minimal, and the food is so tasty. I went about an hour before work and still made it in time for my shift. Great customer service, I was seated immediately and brought water right away. The waiter was helpful and helped me pronounce words I didn't know/understand. He helped me choose spice levels (they have about 4 different levels, great for all types of spiciness) and got us our drinks right away. The Mango Milkshake is super yummy! We ordered fried bread and lamb and chicken curry. Amazing colors, visible spices, and awesome taste. Very clean and very organized. 10/10 amazing job

As the owner mentioned he is doing take out only, but would also open up the dinning room for private events. I was just here for a private event. It was a phenomenal experience. The food was wonderful, although that was never really a concern, it always is. The experience afforded to us being the only ones there was something I never knew was missing before. The one-on-one service and attention was unparalleled. My previous experiences have ranged from tables pushed together in the middle of the room, to an alcove, to the occasional side room separated by a curtain. All these options always had a wildcard of other guests and I have a story about other guests from just about every experience. Thank you so much for the truly special event space/experience you provided. It won't take long before you have too many requests than you can handle. 💯 Recommend for the take out or a private party.

Quick context, I'm a big fan of authentic cuisine, and this place does not disappoint. (And what I mean by that is that sometimes the cuisine can be Americanized and some flavor is lost, which I'm not a fan of.) I went with my wife and two kids, was seated in the "private" area (meaning we got there early and our section was empty.) It later filled up. The owner talked with us and was super friendly. Our server recommended some dishes to us which we had never tried. We ordered samosas and the fried veggies for apps, 3 different types of curry (two of which were brand new to us) and 2 pieces of naan (which are sliced up and must have had a pretty large square footage originally. 2 slices was more than enough for the 3 curries we ordered.) In any case, the curries were flat out equal to the best I have ever had. The heat level can be chosen to your preference. I like spicy food, we ordered the 4/5 spicy, and it was hot, but not overwhelming. Perfect for what I like. Flavor of everything was absolutely amazing. Highly, highly, recommend. Please, please patronize this place. It's amazing. I'm a great home cook, but this is food I can't replicate easily. If you eat out, this is well worth your dollars.

Easily one of the best restaurants in Fargo, and dare I say, in North Dakota too. Not just great Indian food for the region, but just great Indian food: they'd hold their own in any large city. The owner is a treasure (you will regularly be greeted with "Hello my friends!"), and the food is fabulous. I've worked through a good chunk of their menu and they do all their dishes well, but I especially recommend any of their baltis and it is absolutely required that you order their naan with some chutney. Portions are super generous too, wife and I regularly get 2-3 meals each out of one dish.

I just came out of the restaurant and food was amazing. I am traveling from Ohio and was skeptical of any Indian restaurant in the area. But, hands down to this one! There food was really top on the charts in the USA. Considering I am quite a traveler, I have tasted variety of Indian foods throughout the USA. And, unfortunately I don't like most of the Indian restaurants. India Palace had amazing taste with right flavors, tidy place and great service. Good luck to them.

Wow! My daughter and I ate here while on a shopping trip to Fargo. We both enjoy ethnic food and happened to come across the India Palace by chance while shopping in the area. We were greeted with “Welcome friends” and shown to our table. Our server was helpful in assisting to make a selection. I have eaten in a lot of Indian restaurants over the years, and in many places throughout the country. I can honesty say that this is some of the best I've had. The variety is spectacular. When the lunch buffet is as good as this (and SO REASONABLY PRICED), it's clear that the owners really care. In fact, I talked to the owners/staff this time, and the pride shown was remarkable. I was also so impressed by the fact that there is a sign on the buffet that says that people will be charged extra for wasting. Bravo to these folks!

The food was very good. The vindaloo was really good to say the least, the difference between spicy and very spicy was a huge jump so be somewhat warned. There is a reason why this place has amazing ratings everywhere you look. Everyone i know that eats there has been a repeat customer and everyone admits that they have NEVER had a bad experience there. No mixed up orders, no cold food, the staff is never rude... And they will alter any dish to your needs (gluten free, dairy free, vegan... You name it) This place is a unicorn in the restaurant biz. Even if you've never had Indian food, go try it. They'll help you out with ordering.

The food is always very tasty, and the buffet is a great value! If you've never had Indian cuisine before you definitely need to come try what they have to offer. All of the food is authentic and is prepared using traditional methods. On Indian holidays they also have special fare that is normally not on the menu. There is a review on Google stating that they had very bad service on Valentine's Day: I was there that night, and yes: the service was lacking its normal professionalism. I don't think they were prepared for every single table in the restaurant to be full, and there were some part time people filling in that really weren't experienced enough for a night like that. That sort of service was definitely out of the ordinary for India Palace! But this is the exception, not the rule. On a normal day the service is quite adequate and the food is always very good. My wife and all of my children love coming here regularly.

My goodness is this place good. First time ordered here and during restaurant restrictions with covid and I have to say, it did not disappoint. I had lived in the area for a year and had not found a good Indian cuisine place, until now. I had their Ka-Rara chicken and it was the perfect blend of spice and heat with a hint of coconut milk on the after taste. Exactly what I was craving for lunch and absolutely exceeded expectations. Had a wonderful experience. Went here for a family meal with my five sisters. The staff was wonderful helping to select the meal. Then we were shown the kitchen after the meal. We had a wonderful time and my sisters could not stop talking about it, for in all of their travels and the different places that they have gone, they have never once been shown the kitchen of the restaurant. The food was delicious, but what really made this place stand out was the way it makes you feel. It feels like an upper level dining place, while still having that family vibe, almost like eating at a favorite rich aunt's or uncle's. Definitely where I will be heading to get my Indian food fix again.

I am at Fargo on a Business visit. I thought of trying this restaurant and initially did not hope to be good as most of the Indian restaurants in US are customized to attract US and Indian customers and loose the Authenticity. But when I visited this place I found that they have Excellent and Authentic tasting food. I keep on travelling and I have travelled a lot in US. I haven't see such an authentic Indian food in any Indian restaurant in US till date. This is a must visit. We also took some of our American companions to this place and they also loved the food. The Balti's are absolutely delicious and the restaurant owner may time gave us desserts to taste at the end as a customer appreciation. One thing I will miss for sure when I leave Fargo, INDIA PALACE FOOD!!!

Went there for not only my first time at the restaurant but my first experience with the cuisine. Went for the lunch buffet & it was delightful.. a very pleasant experience. The restaurant was clean & seating was available to support small or large parties.. Food was all hot.. never saw an empty tray.. I wouldn't have gone for anything overly spicy as a personal preference but I think the buffet options are intentionally tame. Not to say there wasn't any spice or flavor.. there definitely was & I thoroughly enjoyed it.. nothing overpowering.. it all melded together very well. The staff was very kind as well.. visited the table often.. one of the older gentlemen monitoring the lunch rush who knew I was new to the cuisine since we were talking about it a little & were the first group inside at 11 even came over & pointed out one of the items I had grabbed off the buffet was a dessert item. Very helpful & very much appreciated. Looking forward to my next visit.

I've been going to India Palace for years and years and can, with the deepest sincerity, say that India Palace is my favorite restaurant in all of the Fargo/Moorhead area. The staff is so incredibly kind and courteous and due to my repeated visits, they remember me whenever I walk through the door. I feel like a real person whenever I'm able to visit. There are few restaurants or establishments that I can say the same about. With regards to the food; I have never eaten a single item from India Palace that wasn't a culinary success, though I have some particular favorites in the Chicken Chili Balti, the Shahi Korma, and the Peshwari Naan. The Chicken Chili Balti, in my honest opinion, is a filling and savory masterpiece that makes the mouth water just in memory of the taste. If you are vegan, vegetarian, or have a dietary need - staff are always willing to make alterations or even switch out milks and creams for coconut and soy options. As if that wasn't enough, the chefs and cooks are always willing to ease up the spice and heat for the more delicate palettes among us. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself with anything, literally, from their menu today.

i ordered this for delivery to my house and it came in 40 minutes which is actually pretty fast compared to my experience with deliver places and apps. i got the makhani chicken with garlic naan and it was great! the makhani chicken was a little bit oily but that’s not a big problem. i ordered extra hot and it wasn’t excruciatingly spicy, it was perfect! the portions were good, everything seemed fresh, would order again! update: i ordered the same thing again after a little while and they’ve already fixed the oily issue, and it came in less than 25 minutes!! definitely love this place even more now!

I used to frequent this establishment when they used to host a lunch buffet so I hadn't been there in quite some time. My husband and I got the chance to go on a date and settled on India Palace. We ordered the chicken samosas, which were delicious! I really liked the 2 sauces that accompanied the samosas. Our main entrees inlcuded the lamb shahi korma and Gobi manchurian with basmati rice. The food was fresh and full of flavor. We also had to order the garlic naan. Service is excellent and the water glass was always full. Thanks for the wonderful cuisine and customer service!!

My husband and I tried out India Palace on 13th in fargo for the first time last night. We both love Indian food and have a favorite place in town that we normally go to. I just have to say that the experience last night was one of our best dining experiences ever! The food was phenomenal, the staff (mostly consisting of one family) was so nice and personable, and the atmosphere was very pleasant! We arrived about 25 mins before they were supposed to close and the place was empty and ready to be closed for the day. We offered to take our food to go and they would have none of that. After our meal the owner gave us a tour of his kitchen. I have worked in food service for many years and I can honestly say that is one of if not the cleanest restaurant kitchen I have ever been in. Long story short we will definately be going there again, and we recommend it to anyone that loves Indian food or just wants to try it out!

Few, but very friendly & familiar staff that seem very receptive of first-time customers. The decor is fresh & modern, but not very immersive. It seems a clean place run professionally. The food is very good, but sourcing some of the unique ingredients does run up the price somewhat. The lunch buffet is an excellent value for something different than the unhealthy, generic 'Chinese' buffets in town. All in all, a great local restaurant that keeps it simple yet elegant. I will definitely be a regular (The Karara w/ Lamb spiced to medium is my favorite dish).

I went to this pace after reading reviews on a recent business trip and I am so glad I did! Was not expecting to find excellent Indian in Fargo but it was wonderful. I ordered palak (saag) paneer it was the right balance of creaminess and spinach, I also felt like the spice level was spot on I did not find it hotter than expected but that may be very subjective. The Garlic Naan was also delicious. A good one to give a try if you are in town and skeptical it could be that good:)

I've loved this place for years and have been a pretty regular customer since I started working less than a block away a few years ago. The food is always beyond incredible and the service is amazing! I was a little worried when they stopped doing the lunch buffet because I only have an hour long break, but I've been there 3 times over my lunch break since they started doing menu service only and every time, the service has been wonderfully quick. I have been able to get in, get seated, order, eat, pack up leftovers, and pay without feeling rushed in any way.... And it's allowed me to be able to get my favorites (the Ka-rara, Saag, Shahi Korma, and Rogan Josh) for lunch more often, instead of just what's available on the buffet. It is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the area and I'd definitely recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Best restaurant in Fargo, period. Chili Balti and the Rogan Josh are excellent. Curry is also outstanding. Tikka masala and Butter chicken are great for first timers but aren’t quite as powerfully spiced. Make sure to get the garlic naan on the side. Harpal is so gracious and welcoming. Get over your inhibitions of Indian food and try the place out. Everyone I introduce raves about it.

Finally some passion in the restaurant world!! I have nothing but respect for this young man who has truly fell in love with this place and their food! They used to be a buffet and stopped to focus on the food, and it shows. I had the lamb korma and garlic naan and wow it's a solid 9. Mainly because I never give a 10. The naan is perfectly cooked, crispy toasty outside and moist fluffy inside with the perfect amount of garlic and butter. Take a look at the picture, it's awesome.... The korma is just delightful. Extremely rich and creamy without being over the top. Oh and they keep the heat levels reasonable so feel free to order mild, you'll get mild. The portion size is just perfect too. You get plenty and I'm a big guy. No need to order apps but I'm sure that those rock too. Facilities are clean and comfortable with nice light music in the backgroundbackground. The place is spotless.... Tis as close to perfect as you can get, friendly people, caring management, talented kitchen staff and a well run front of house. Just eat here... :)

I love my food spicy, and in many places in the northern part of the country it is hard to get things to a heat level I expect from Indian and Asian cuisine, but they do it right here. I got the chicken curry, an appetizer of the vegetable pakorha, and a side of lamb naan. It was excellent, except I did find the rice and pakorha to be a bit over salted for my taste. The place is very good and right on point for the spices and food quality. I would highly suggest you check ot out if you are around Fargo and looking for a health choice.

Best Indian food in Fargo. Friendly people and pretty fast service. Not spicy enough for my taste, and the lamb naan and chicken makhani were a letdown (no lamb pieces in the naan and the chicken dish was bland, tasting only of tomato and cream), but the vindaloos and chickpea dals have more flavor. Samosas are OK though I prefer pieces of potato over a blended purée (like at the Fargo Fresh shop). Definitely worth going if you’re in the area!

With the numerous places in the area serving Indian cuisine, it can get a little tricky finding just the right place to try out a new and exotic dish. My choice has been the India Palace. Every Indian cuisine has their own take on curry; no two places taste the same. India Palace has just the right amount of kick when it comes to spicy choices, or a flavorful yet mild pick if you don’t quite have the tongue for a challenge. The service there is excellent and friendly. They also understand many people in the area likely do not have much experience with Indian style food, so they will recommend dishes that the average person will like (typically tikka misala, the number one popular dish they serve). Best Indian food in Fargo, probably best restaurant in the area. They are very professional about allergies and dietary restrictions. They even have a dedicated fryer for gluten-free items. I always get the palak paneer because it's so good. Their rice is excellent, flavored with cumin and ghee. Their mango lassi, veg pakora, and various naan are all excellent. I dont think I'm capable of ordering an appropriate amount of food here; I always have a generous amount of leftovers.

The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. If you’ve never had Indian food before try the Tikka Masala. Most people at our table had it and loved it. I had the curry and it was very good, especially using naan to dip in it. Afterwards we were done eating someone at the table told them it was my birthday. They took us in the back and gave us a quick tour of the kitchen. Seeing how the naan is made was certainly interesting. I was also amazed at how clean the kitchen is. I used to work at a restauarant and their level of cleanliness absolutely amazed me. Even the air vents seem to be scrubbed every night.

Wonderful for Vegetarians/Vegans! My boyfriend and I are long distance and every single time I fly into Fargo to visit, our tradition is to eat at India Palace on the way home from the airport. The owner, Harpal, is so kind and gracious every time we visit and always recognizes us. He honestly makes us feel like VIP guests. Our staple order is the Samosa appetizer followed by the Chana Palak and Vegetable Korma entrees. Don't forget the garlic naan - it's actually to die for. If you're vegan, they are willing to cook the food with coconut milk instead of using dairy. They give big portions so we always have leftovers for dinner! So good. We're so thankful to have this restaurant in Fargo, and they are deserving of all levels of culinary success! Thanks Harpal!

I ordered the Dhamaka Balti. I chose hot to be conservative. I also had to try some of the house made hot sauce. This was the best Indian food I have ever tried. The food had so many different flavors that blended together to create the perfect dish. The hot sauce added an additional layer on top of what was already there. The hot sauce was a green type with several different chilis. It had a kick, but not overly so and tasted so fresh. The service was incredibly friendly. He talked about how they keep striving to improve and talked about the authenticity of the food.

An amazing range of dishes customized to your tolerance of "heat." Lots of vegetarian options and amazing naan--lightly crispy outside, elastic within, served hot from the tandoor. Onion kulcha full of sweet, soft, red onions. The service is invariably friendly, personable, and attentive, and every dish we've had has been delicious and flavorful (and even better the next day!!), and always prepared to our request.

My brother and I ordered some samosas to share, chana masala for me, and chicken biryani for him. The chana masala is a dream, pillowy tender chickpeas in a complex spicy gravy that's unique among variants of the same dish I've tried. Samosas were enormous, stuffed to the brim, and complete with two different chutneys for dipping.

I prefer to either go to Indian homes or bribe my wife, who is Indian, to make indian food. We are both busy professionals, so this does not happen as often as i would have liked. It was good the chicken samosas were great they remind me of empanadas with the red sauce they were delicious, we got the chicken tikka massala and garlic naan it was good too and the rice was fluffy I love the rice, I eat rice everyday and that rice was good, mango juice was also really good, not a big fan of strong flavors since I’m more of a plain and boring person when it’s time to eat but it was good, I would just go back for the chicken samosas and mango juice since I eat similar things in my country, just not a big fan of strong flavors and make me kinda sick since I’m not used to it.
