Reviews of Cart-Driver RiNo
Laura Asendio
Tiny place that packs a punch!
Location/Space - Cart Driver is located right along Larimer St where all the action is. We went around 3:30/4pm on a Sunday so it wasn’t too busy at all. While the place is small, they really maximized their space since they have a little upper rail where you can put your food to share with the rest of the table.
Food- We got a dozen of their happy hour oysters, which were really yummy. They do not come with cocktail sauce but don’t be afraid of their own homemade hot sauce that is on their tables. It had a great flavor! As for the pizzas, we got the Cart-Driver and the Clam. We also got a little side of marinara to dip our Cart Driver in and they were so nice to warm it up for us.
Staff- super friendly! They helped make some recommendations and were quick to help if we needed anything else.

Was in Denver a couple nights for the nuggets game. This might be the best pizza I’ve eaten to date. Had the peppers pie. Was so good the first time that i had to come back the next night and get the same thing. Second time around i had the chocolate cake as well but i personally wasn’t a big fan of it, maybe someone else is. Staff was super friendly and seemed like a nice place to dine in even though both times i took my pie to go. All in all, if you’re in Denver, this place is a must try for anyone craving some pizza.

Loved everything about this place. Their pizzas tasted great—we got the Cart-Driver and the Daisy. The Daisy might be the best margherita pizza we have ever had. Which is interesting because it’s such a simple pizza yet something about it made it taste beyond others’. Their hot sauce was also super tasty (but VERY hot, so be careful). And this is just me having been in operations before but this restaurant’s efficient operations also impresses me. The design of the place and the tables with area elevated to rest the pizzas is also brilliant. And the staff was super friendly and attentive. Overall a superb experience!

I loved this place so much I wanted to save my pizza for when I got home...after all they say after 5 bites you don’t notice “taste” anymore if you eat the same thing! This is my place to go to as a New York City pizza lover! Personally I also have to add that they definitely nailed it with the style that matches the container. If you are looking for a high vibing space where there is good food, great vibes, and amazing drinks... stop by here or make a trip out of it- #WorthIt

Pizza and oysters may sound like a weird combo but really what's not to like. We ordered the focaccia with liver mousse, fall pizza, and 2 of each oyster they had. Loved every single item without a single complaint. This is my new favorite pizza place in Colorado. My only regret is we didn't try the clam pizza, but I will have something to look forward to next time I am back.

It is a weird place that first frustrated me and than surprised!
The fact that was packed and nobody was telling us that we could sit whenever we wanted was frustrating… finding a spot without having any help was not the best experience.
However, as soon we found a place and had the pizza (we had to wait 1 hour for food… it was super packed) I forgot all the problems. Pizza was great… crust was light and flavorful… ingredients were good quality.
They saved themselves with the food… and that’s for me the most important! So, 5 stars earned!

In the area exploring the street art. This place came up on Google for nearest bites and decided to check it out. The place looks small in side but they have a big back patio with well placed misters. We ordered the clam pizza without the pork and the mushroom pizza. We loved both so much. I wouldn’t be able to choose one or the other. I would say the arugula that comes on top of the mushroom pizza could use a little bit less salt. Other than that. Next time I am in Denver with the hubby. Definitely stopping by.

PIZZA IS A MUST. I also got their charity beer that included a Paloma shot. Very dangerous if you take them both down without food in front of you 😆 beer was nice and light, a Mexican lager. We got the Peppers pizza and added veggies! Also got one of their salads which was nice and fresh!
A Lake
Delicious, light, and flavorful pizza in a cozy spot with a cool vibe. Food and drinks are pretty pricey but it was worth it for a special experience. Place is also very small so you’ll likely have a very hard time getting seating on a busy night especially with larger groups.

The vibe of this place was as if all the stereotypically white hipster attributes were aggressively condensed into one area. The place in RiNo is TINY, so instead of the intended bustling vibe of a real pizza joint, it becomes rather loud and intrusive to the entire eating experience. The wait to get the pizza was over an hour long tonight but I have no complaints; there were like 7 ppl running this entire place from cooking to serving to bussing.
Fortunately, I didn’t hate the food. In fact, it’s really good! Was it the best pizza I’ve had or worth the wait? No, but it was really tasty and the combination of ingredients are fun. I got the clam-pancetta pizza and it was as deep in flavor as I expected. The pancetta added a nice richness and the whole garlic added a ton of mellow sweetness. The chicken liver mousse and the oysters were quite good. That said it’s really pricey for a pizza place so be prepared to spend a pretty penny.

Really fun little place! And I mean little lol but the food is really great! Oysters were a bit pricy at $5 a piece but they were really fresh and rivaled other great oyster joints in Denver. The pizza is the best I’ve ever had, their gluten free sourdough crust tasted amazing. You would never know it’s GF.
Jerry Cannon
$7 pizzas for their dine-in only late night happy hour. Seriously?! And the pizza is delicious?! Add in comfortable outdoor seating, and the incredibly friendly staff, and that’s what has made this place my new fave for late night eats in RiNo. We will be back again soon and often.

UHH WHATT, MIDWEST MAKES KILLER WOOD FIRED PIZZA.
We stumbled upon this place waiting on our reservation for Sushi down the Road, but I'm glad we explored.
First the pizza was so good, we end up ordering one to go too after devouring one there. The Dough of the pizza is exceptional and made with their secret recipe, and toppings were so different and amazing too!
We also ordered some half shell clams, which surprisingly in the midwest, fish quality is exceptional.
We also ordered the bread with sardines, which I never tried but now a life long fan!
Just come here with a few friends and order the menu away. Beer and good pizza, psh say less!
Scott Cook
Canned fish...WTH!!! But it was so good! My son loves this joint. We ate lunch here and got their seafood conserva, which came with our choice of canned seafood. We chose the salmon, which came with fresh baked bread, black olive butter, and a pepper relish. Ordered 2 pizzas...amazing! And thier Fall salad.
Ivy Page
Honestly, best pizza I’ve had in Denver. Their clam pizza and oysters on the half shell are what dreams are made of. And their take on a Bee Sting cocktail is the perfect pairing.
Megan Daly
Best pizza I've ever had. Had the mushroom one, could have never expected how good the lemon would be on it. The focaccia was amazing as well. Chill vibes. Watching them make the pizzas is art. Loved it. Will dream of this pizza until next time.
Elaine Lee
We ordered takeout from their website. I appreciate that they leave the boxes on the oven to keep warm. We had their namesake which was great. Clam pizza was even better. The person who helped us was really friendly. I’d come back for the oysters and the tins

This pizza is hands down my favorite in the Mile High City. I’ve had it for picnics, take out, eat in, happy hour, frozen and reheated, everything. It. Is. The. Best. And I’m a New Yorker!!! The crust and the bread they serve with the appetizers is absolutely piping hot, airy, chewy, the wonderful combination of crust and crumb. Who thought that this kind of baking could be achieved in a city that’s a mile high in the sky?! The sardines with the black olive butter and pepperonata app was magnifico. Love sardines and you should too! Thanks to this awesome and passionate staff for making weeknight meals so happy.
Aya Ogawa
Cute place with heated outdoor seating. I had a salad which was tasty but my friend’s gluten-free crust pizza had a weird aftertaste. Nice, friendly service, clean and cute dining area.
K Carp
This place is consistently amazing!!! Returned for the fresh baked bread for the sardine toast, but fell in love with clam & mushroom pizza . Always recommend this to visitors. 15/10 not to mention staff is so fast and nice!
Roxane Debaty
One of my favorites in Denver—I order online and come sit at the little counter to wait for it, ordering a drink if it’s a wait. The margherita is a go-to but try the Mushroom pizza with crème fraiche and lemon, it’s uniquely good! A nice treat for a north-easterner who misses good pizza.
Samuel Chalekian
Industrial, hip restaurant with alluring appetizers and excellent Italian style wood fired pizza. Come for the pizza, stay for the $3 oyster happy hour special.
Brittney P
Do yourself a favor and go. The best pizza I've had in years. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Amazing food.
Aaron Coleman
Open late! Super fast & unique pies. The “peppers” was just right. Leaned spicy, thanks to the Calabrian Peppers, but I did not mind. Would revisit. Very cool vibes & great overhead music made for a great experience.
Matt
An otherworldly food experience. A must for any pizza lover. Don't know what water they are using or what they put in the dough, but the crust is about the best I've ever had. Clams on a pizza? Yep it works and is about the best slice in Denver. There hasn't been ONE PERSON I've sent here or brought here who hasn't raved about it. Great location, tons of other places to walk to in the area for cocktails. Staff is always fun and seem to love their job. CD for the win.
Alex Cameron
Small venue but does offer a larger outdoor space. Service was fast and very attentive. We’ll definitely be back again.
The Great Lesan
Glad this place was opened late night. Good food. Oh I tried oysters for the first time lol. Did it like it ? Eh it was ok but definitely wasn’t bad.
Kiefer
Aesthetic is on point, love the shipping container space! Clam Pizza was delicious, slightly on the pricey side for the size, but def worth!
Alex Loya
To start, this is the best Neopolitan style pizza in all of Denver. But I’m a happy hour guy for the most part, and their late night HH is next level. Daisy (Margherita) is $7… cool, BUT the sardines ($6) are one of, if not one of the best appetizers in the whole city, it’s also a solid portion for a meal or to share. Everything is great; food, drinks, and service. I have been coming here since they opened and I have never left unsatisfied. If you are in Denver, come here for the best non-thick crust pizza. An absolute must try!
Bess Scully
Their wood-fired za is delicious. Chicken liver mousse is divine. Oysters were fresh and sea-tasty. Cocktails are top-notch. Great service - both friendly and efficient. Place is hip. Top quality, sourced ingredients. Just go. Be cool.
Sarah Giroux
Idles, Viagra Boys, Oh Sees, and Pizza! Not to mention, the oysters. Delicious place, delightful atmosphere. This place is not to be missed when passing through Denver!
Kesh Patel
Fantastic Pizza. However, be prepared to wait 30 plus minutes if it's a busy late partying type of night.
Matthew Walter
Terrific Neapolitan pizza with a tasty local twist. I expected the The Peppers pizza to be a titch spicier but it still hit the spot. We were skeptical about the lemon on The Mushroom pizza but that added a nice freshness. The Key Lime pie and mixed salads were too small but delicious.
Danielle Hau
Incredible pizza!!! The Daisy (margherita) was on happy hour for $6 and it was absolutely delicious. Crispy, light crust, flavorful sauce, and fresh basil. Outdoor patio is a nice, fun space.
Michael Quiring
This was the best gluten free pizza I've ever had. The gf sourdough crust tasted amazing, and the texture was perfect. I'd highly recommend this place for pizza. Additionally, got oysters and the combination of horse radish and watermelon citrus to go along was 10/10.
Drives at Mile High
Hands down one of the best Pizza places in Denver. Over fired style pizza comes out piping hot, all items are fresh. Go for Late Night Happy Hour and try the sardines and bread.. they will change your life!
Justin Neustadter
Five stars for the food and friendly staff. The oven fired pizza is delicious but if I visit again I will make sure to go when it's empty. They have a great beer select as well.
Four stars for the wait time. To be clear, I didn't have an issue with the long wait in line but 45-60 minutes to wait for a pizza after ordering is a little long. I'm guessing something happened with our order sense many people behind us in line got served before us.
Nicholas “Nick” Rivera
Good pizza at a reasonable price. Bring a jacket if you're visiting when it's cold outside, their oil heaters don't seem to work and you have to walk outside to get to the restroom. Can't wait to come back during the summer and sit on their outdoor patio.
Chelsea Louise
Hip vibe, great crust & the combo of toppings are an experience. 8/10
Kate Gavos
UNBELIEVABLE! Literally the best gluten free pizza I have ever had in my life. Kudos for such an amazing concept. Met super awesome employee who was so friendly and told us all about the area. Will be back!
Aysegul D. (Aysha)
Cute place! It was a little busy, though. I ordered in place to take out, and it took 45 min. It was worth the taste.
Daniel Grace
They lost/forgot our order so our food took way longer than the other patrons', but once we got it the food was truly delicious.
We tried four different pizzas and our favorite was the "White". Also the olive butter for the fococia was a highlight.
Rachel Nalecz
This food is to die for! The Daisy (Margherita) and oyster pizzas were excellent. Worth the wait, which will be long in peak times. Super nice patio in the back. All the seating is first come first serve.
Cristiane Deroo
I found this place by mistake and give it a try, honestly, I like it, good spot to you chill eat a pizza and drink a couple drinks.
H Adlerz
Amazing pizzas and breads, wood fired oven italian style, always made with tons of love bathe best people who have extreme passion for their work. If you want the best pizzas made with love this is THE spot. They even have a happy hour. Looks for their specials that pop up and Do not forget the sauces, all made in house.
Kat Dingma
Oysters always fresh and awesome. Clam pizza is exceptional. Friendly and quick service. Cool patio area w/ heaters. Small space and wildly popular.
Sarah Betts
This place never disappoints with its pizza. The wait was longggg but I never care. The white pizza was fantastic although I meant to order the clam pizza (which is twice as good). I had a slice of the Peachza (with seasonal Palisade peaches) as well, also great.
Tom
Great pizza that's cooked right in front of you!
Cozy little spot that is connected to other "containers".
Only complaint is that if you sit by the oven, it gets a bit warm.
Sp
Excellent pizza but word of warning if you get take out ahead of time for something, they don’t start making your order until you get there- even when it’s not crowded. Ignore the estimated time and just go there. There’s no bar service while you wait for take out either.
Spencer Goree
You know how there are certain meals that you will never forget?
I can think of five restaurant meals off the top of my head that I randomly think about years later- the clam pizza with pancetta here is one of them and I'm weird and don't even really like pizza. (Note 3 of 5 dishes I randomly think about contain shellfish and another contains prosciutto so lol this pizza was my perfect match)
Seriously ya'll it's so good, esp with the charred lemon drizzled over. Might need to fly to Denver.
Jennifer Wagner
The pizza here is great! Nice thin crust and funky topping options! Not your regular cheese or pepperoni pizza joint.

*Note: This is a GF (Gluten Free) review*
If you are not Gluten Free, then you'll enjoy this restaurant just as much as the Cart Driver in LoHi.
But, for those that are GF, you need to know there is a big difference between the two locations. We found 90% of the menu to be the same between the two. Most people that we've seen / been with order pizza plus oysters for example. And for those that are Gluten Free, you'll almost surely be ordering pizza.
*So* the big thing you need to know if you are GF is this: At the RiNo location you'll have probably the best GF pizza you've ever had - a sourdough crust no less. But at the LoHi location, you'll have probably the worst GF pizza you've ever had - a thin doughy cauliflower crust.
There is no warning that this difference exists, so you need to know that if you are GF, avoid LoHi and head over to RiNo.
Brian
Great pizza with good char and dough. Pizza concepts are unique and the creativity creates solid flavor. The sausage on the Cart-Driver pizza is great. I like what they’re doing here and nice selection of appetizers, beer, and wine. Second favorite pizza shop in the Denver area.
Janae Burris
Met up with friends. Kind of pricey for what they offer. Clam pizza was highly recommended and it was a dud.
Staff was nice. Well, except one guy.
Adam Sterkowicz
Best pizza in Denver. No need to look elsewhere for pizza in Denver. Cool atmosphere too, in a building built from interconnected shipping containers. There is a center courtyard which ties the experience together. Want great pizza, a fun experience, and fun drinks then go check em out. Delicious!
Dara “Digi” Carlson
Oh my goodness! This place is so 💣 BOMB! I took my friend out to Denver for her early birthday weekend day trip and after 4 stops off her choice she decided she wanted to stop here after looking at the reviews before ending our day and heading back to the Springs.
Once inside, it looks small and crowded but tucked away through the glass door in the back, they have a beautiful outdoor eating area which is where we sat.
All the staff people were friendly and chipper and were happy to answer our questions without any fault which help ended the day trip on a high note.
We had a long fun filled day so we were lucky that we were able to stop during Happy Hour. She got herself some whiskey and we decided to try the Chicken Liver Mousse and Summer Special Pizza. So delicious!
It is worth driving back to. In fact, I want to take my Husband here to show him the place so he can try it. If you've not tried this place, I highly recommend them.
5 ⭐ stars all around.
Mik Crist (Mik Maven)
We went when it wasn't busy - maybe inside & outside there were 8 people total and when we got there no line. It took well over AN HOUR to get two pizzas and honestly, even though this place was highly recommended all three of us were not impressed. Maybe an off day? We really had high hopes and honestly don't think it's worth the usual wait we've been told about nor price point. The staff was all super friendly 😊
Giovanna Oseguera Tapia
Really really good pizza! Crust tasted almost sourdough-y (I mean that in the best way possible). Good & simple ingredients! Staff were nice about modifying pizzas.
Shandiin Dejolie
Delicious food. Great service. Neat little spot.
Leah Phillips
Perfect pizza and oyster spot right off Larimer in Rino. The location is great, they have a small patio out front and more space in the back. The overall feel of the place is cool - it’s in a shipping container. The service is great and friendly, but low key; you order at the counter. Weekday happy hour is great with oysters 2 for $5 and a select few $5 small plates. All their drinks are $5 as well including Prosecco on tap. Their pizzas are excellent and they have a wood fired oven in house. A great happy hour spot in the heart of Rino!
Brent Palmer
Great pizza. There were very nice employees that helped us set up a heater for the outdoors because it was cold
Stephen Bouch
Pizza was great with the special sauce on the table. Beet/ricotta salad was not my thing, thought it was pretty weird.
Anna Kammeyer
Recommended by a local brewery worker and turned out to be really tasty place to eat. The resraurant itself has a very relaxed and cool vibe. The people working were friendly from the moment we walked in to the moment we exited. They were able to provide recommendations on what to try as well as how much food would be appropriate for our group.
For a group of 4 people, we were able to all split a salad and share 3 of the pizzas. All three pizzas were good and my order of preference would be the Peppers, Cart-Driver, then White pizza.
Two members of my group tried the oysters and said they were deliciously fresh! They came with horseradish, lemon, and a sweet dressing (vinegarette?) that elevated their taste.
The food and the excellent service made it well worth the price. The price was reasonable for the exceptional quality of food we received.
Bryant Palmer
One of my favorite places for pizza anywhere on the planet. Cart-Driver makes outstanding food — I always order the mixed nuts and whatever salad or burrata they’ve got on offer, along with a pizza or two. Their late-night happy hour is one of the best deals in town (during non-pandemic times, of course). And their staff is always friendly. Love this place.
Angie Dekruif
Potentially one of the best pizza places in the US that I've had! Excellent crust (which defines a pizza) and great flavor overall. We got the bread and butter, the daisy, and the mushroom and everything was delicious. I'll definitely be coming back here. I've had pizza in NY and Italy and this place actually comes very close in quality. Happy to finally find some good pizza in CO, easy 5 stars.
Callie Alvanitakis
I have never had oysters this far west. I’m from the East Coast and I would like to think we know our oysters. Those WA state Stretch Necks were some of the best and most fresh and most perfectly-shucked beauties I have had in my time.
Perfect space. Pizza smelled amazing but we were just there for drinks, (I simply couldn’t resist trying the oysters) which were absolutely on point. Sleek menu, wonderfully curated and presented. Staff was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Great job!
Kelly Gjestvang
Stopped in for some pizza and was delightfully surprised. The salad was fresh, the nuts were tasty, and the pizza was delicious. Everyone in our group was a huge fan of the dough. I would come back just to eat the crust straight. However, the most impressive thing of our visit was watching the kitchen. We sat at the booth outside the kitchen/ the order counter. Our party of 5 was so impressed at how efficient the kitchen was. Everyone worked together so well. It was truly impressive to just watch the operation.
Chloe Garcia
Amazing food. Best fire baked pizza we’ve had. quality ingredients. Excellent service. Great vibe. Great cost per value. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Way More than your average pizza joint.
Chris DeCamp
This place is awesome!!! Happy hour specials are fantastic, the sardines and pizza were great. Staff was lovely! Great first stop in Denver!
John Vasholz
Best pizza I've had in Denver and some of the best wood fired Ive had anywhere. Want to try the clam pizza next time. Good vibes all around inside and out. I hear they have a reverse happy hour deal that's really good too
Wil
I encourage others to up vote this for a real review.
So, I’m from New Haven, CT.
The pizza is top is top tier in the area. Any and all problems at this place stem from understaffing or dumb customers.
This is NOT your local pizza palace.
Meat eaters will find an excellent oyster selection here.
Pizza fanatics will find a crisp, fresh crust.
I’ve had mediocre experiences here that stem solely from popularity/strain.
This place is exceptional. If you’ve had a negative experience, try again.
Taylor Watkins
Absolutely one of the best places to get pizza in Denver! Also very fun to grab some oysters and a Negroni!
Meghan Gutteron
Always love coming here. We hit Cart-Driver after a Rockies game. You never have to wait too long, and while it's a smaller indoor location, they have a great patio as well for an outdoor option. The building is cool, made of shipping containers. The staff is always friendly. The pizza is wood fire baked and always delicious. We tried the bread and butter to start, definitely recommend! Great laid back spot for a drink and a bite with friends.
Jon Fitzgerald
I was staying at The Ramble, and wanted to eat somewhere close. Stumbled across Cart-Driver right across the street, and am glad I did! The Pizza was not only amazing, but the service was fantastic. I can not recommend it enough.
Cristina Nieves
Delicious food, super helpful staff. I will eat irrational amounts of this pizza now that I know they're so close to me, it's SO good.
Skyler C
Very good wood fired dough. I would have to try more pizza varieties to give more opinion on them, but my wife loves raw oysters (I prefer Rockefeller or fried personally) and that was a reason we came. She was not disappointed! Very good raw oysters she tells me. They had a variety of white pizza with lemon, basil, and very tasty green olives that we tried as well as the liver mousse that was WAY better than I expected. Decent happy hour options (mid day and late night). Definitely a place to check out and maybe THE place to hit up before midnight for RiNo late options
Lilla Bagladi-Salamon
I tried pizza all over the world (yepp in Italy too), but this was 13/10 perfect! Amazing quality, nice staff!❤️
Stephen
This place really surprised me with their excellent, real wood-fired pizza with a pillowy, chewy Neapolitan style crust and high quality toppings. A bit limited on seating (it's in a shipping container?) but the atmosphere is really cool and they have a lot of creative diversions on their menu if awesome pizza isn't enough for you.
Riley Cecelia Whitehead
Great happy hour deals 🥰 amazing pizza crust and I'm so happy sardines on toast is a thing here
Kevin F
How good could pizza served out of a shipping container be?! 🤯🤯🤯
Robert Rice
Best focaccia I've ever had (with the pate). The Pate is creamy, not thick and over cooled. Pizza crust is card-carrying BAMF. And their hot sauce. Wow. This is a place that any sophisticated diner will take seriously.
derek smith
Had a great time at Cart-Driver. We were recommended this place for some good wood fire pizza and I'm glad we needed the recommendation. We had the Daisy and a couple of the west coast happy hour oysters and we enjoyed every bite.
J H
Cart Driver pizza was one of the best things I ate when visiting Denver. I highly recommend the Clam Pizza. I often wake up dreaming of a slice. It’s that’s good!
Hiking WithJeebz
Tiny but cozy. Oysters were tasty! Pizza was tasty! And Noah was cool! Very friendly and outgoing, clean restaurant, nicely designed with a moderne chique. Will definitely go again :)
Kate Bailie
Best pizza in all of Denver. Great late night happy hour too, discounted pizza, beer and a shot or fernet, etc. I don't eat oysters but they have those as well, from different regions
Vincent Thomas
Mama mia!!! The Pizza was sooo perfectly done. Pizza is best to me when it's late, served with a good beer, crispy, hot and kissed by flames. This Clam pizza had all of the above and yeah it was as good as it looks. Hats off to the cooks in action too, pizza was in front of us super quick. I didn't get a pic because we ate the house nuts so fast but they washed down great with our drinks.
The location is cool to and a good use of recycled shipping containers. We sat at the bar for front row view of the Pizza show.
Courtney
One of the first dining experiences that I felt required including more than a generic star rating.
Everything here was beyond expection. The staff was friendly, helpful, and interacted with us as if it was their own restaurant.
The pizza, at first glance, seemed to be the same as any other decent flatbread establishment, but easily exceeded that assumption. Other reviewers have mentioned it may be the best pizza they've ever eaten, and I have to agree. It was so delicious we hit it up again the next day during happy hour, and felt it was even better than the previous day.
The oysters, cocktails, general vibe, and seating arrangements were also all on point.
We're probably lucky we don't live in Denver, because I don't think it would be wise to make a habit of pizza, oysters, and cocktails daily. 😏 We usually make it a point to try new places while on vacation, but this is one place to which that rule will certainly not apply.
Jason Kesner
Incredible Neapolitan style pizza. Blown away by the crumbled sausage and Kale pizza. They also have a great beer selection as well. Highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Neapolitan.
John Kennedy
Great food. Great service. Wish they had a more diverse selection of beers. Would suggest getting the sardines and bread..delicious
Sydney
This place is cool of you don't mind very small spaces. Definitely not for the claustrophobic. But if you don't mind people on top you, its a lovely place. Drinks Are So Expensive.
Neil Robertson
Those who know, know... which... the secret has long been out since all of Denver knows how great this spot is. I usually partake in the late night happy hour when the pizzas are cheap and I probably need it the most. But I crave this spot all the time. I highly recommend the Peppers while the standard, Cart Driver, is an easy go-to. This place can get nuts so I weekdays or days are best but I’ve never turned away even when it’s really busy.
Jami M. Guler
Patio seating in front and in the back. Pizza is insane good! And their hot sauce is one of my all time faves! Beats Ranch dressing as a condiment for pizza anyday!
John Manno
Amazing pizza and great oyster selection, highly recommended. Not many tables inside but plenty of outdoor and garden seating.
Dylan “Bingle” Spencer
Never outside of new York have I felt fancy eating a pizza and I honestly didn't feel ever like that was an experience I had even wanted. Cozy but small space with some of the best crust and an awesome clam pizza. The house hot sauce is just hot enough and not too vinegary and the drink menu alluring with some good happy hour deals. Do mind that since it is a small space some of the more loud drinkers really shine. Otherwise an experience not exclusive to cart driver but wholly a recommended restaurant over many pizza places especially for a date night.
Jon Shay
Great spot to grab a great pie. Neapolitan style. Might be a wait if you come during the dinner rush but they have a great late night special too (after 10 PM) pizza is a 7.8
Travis Underwood
Amazing dough — 3 day sourdough. One of the best if not best pizza also had oysters that rock
Frank Clarkson
Crazy good food inside a shipping container! Loved the House Ricotta and Cart-Driver pizza. Great beer options.
Victoria Darker
Great counter service; cozy atmosphere in a refurbished shipping container. Pizzas come in 10" personals so come with friends to mix and match. The chicken liver pâté was mouth watering. Go here. Do it. Now.
Reed D
The best! I am obsessed. Cart driver pizza is so good, chicken lover mouse you would think was weird but it’s so good
Michael Fox
La pizza più buona di Denver! Best wood fire oven pizza in the mile high city, and state. I live nearby and go often, especially after 10pm when happy hour starts and Margherita pizzas are only 5$. Prosciutto is legit, drinks too. Had a Lambrusco with pizza and they pair greatly. Enjoy.
Petra Vannucci-Henkel
The seafood conserva is my favorite from here. The bread always comes out piping hot, served with olive butter, and delicious
Nichole Doest
Their happy hour and reverse happy hour deals are amazing, especially for us industry folk at the end of the night. Beautiful patio and a variety of seating options so I am gonna spend a lot of my summer here.
Kevin Nieto
Cart Driver is nestled in a small unassuming building made out of shipping containers. It's location might give passerbys the impression that the food inside might match the outer digs but they are sadly mistaken. Cart Driver delivers on all points of what a pizzaria should be. All the pizza are put together by hand with fresh ingredients and cooked in a wood fire oven. The pizzas they have are adequately priced for the size and they have a variety to chose from. They have traditional pizzas such as the one I ordered to oddities such as clam pizza. They also have a few appetizers in a glass cooler which might seem odd considering they are in tin cans but trust me they are worth it. I ordered the spicy tuna paté which came with fresh baked bread, black olive infused butter, and salsa which delicious. I would recommend visiting this place in the afternoon and sitting out on the patio.
Chris Jenkins
We got recommended to come here after the basketball game and was very impressed
Quick fast and friendly service
We had the Daisy pizza with happy hour drinks
We loved it… o ya that ginger hot sauce on the table was delicious on the pizza to spice it up
Alesha Machuca
I was so excited to have a place in Denver with an aperol Spritz on the menu. The pizza (we ordered the Daisy) is really good, but the $10 ice packed spritz in a short glass was insulting. Skip normal hours go for Happy Hour, get pizza and beer.
Cesar Hinojosa
Best pizza I've had in Denver so far. 10/10 would recommend
Cameron Olsen
My favorite pizza in Denver. From the flavor profiles to the texture, the pizzas are creative, artistic, and flavorful.
Happy hour is a steal with great prices on oysters, cocktails, and Montuckys.
And the cherry on top is the killer service. Everyone is extremely kind. They labor to provide you with excellent food and an excellent experience.
Always looking forward for any opportunity to find myself at Cart Driver.
Le’Toya Garland
Great place for a late night meal and delicious wood fired pizzas! The quality ingredients make these unique pizzas stand out. You’ll find some other gems on the menu as well. The staff is friendly and the food is served fast.
Steven Shapiro
TL;DR - White pizza, pepperoni and Hawaiian are fantastic, salads are delicious, unexpected huge patio out back!
Cart Driver is great, they serve fantastic pizza, salad and oysters in a casual environment. The inside is a little small for the colder months but they have a huge outside patio out the back door which looks like a great time and full of sun. They make great cocktails and have a sufficient beer list if you are looking to hang out there for awhile. They have a great wait staff, who was super excited we had a birthday in the group and brought out a complimentary champagne toast!
R Sa
Great food, great salads, wonderful, friendly and nice servers and staff. After things had gone really bad during our visit in Colorado, this was a great place to be at!
Alfie Mitchell
This place is amazing! Some of the best and freshest pizza outside of Italy, even at 2am! The service is great. The peach ice cream has slightly too much basil in but I’m sure you can ask for it without.
Dough is super soft and tasty, we got the Daisy pizzas and only $7 during happy hour. Beer is decent too, a little overpriced but this is downtown Denver after all. Highly recommend.
Chris Curtis
Delicious! Unique and fresh pizza toppings and strong cocktails. The decor is modern and industrial and the staff friendly and attentive. This is a must go!
CJP P
Such little hidden gem, food was delicious, service as absolutely great and cost was just right. Love it & will be back!
Karen Thome
Best pizza ever. Quality of oysters superb!!! A bit pricy but well worth every penny! Beautifully displayed when order reached the table. I was VERY impressed & recommend this place to anyone! Well done Cart-Driver
Matthew Tepoorten
I really enjoyed this wood fired pizza. The sauce is great and I like how the crust gets a bit burnt in the process of baking. Very fresh ingredients and atmosphere. They could use some other options for non alcoholic drinks. They could have soda water or ice tea etc. that would give a few options for people not wishing to drink. For this type of "fancy" pizza I rank it in the top 5 in Denver.
Hieu “DrScrubs” Do
The oysters alone is worth going to this place. The late night happy hour price and good choice was awesome. The ambience is chill. The staff were like long lost friends. Food was delicious and well worth the price. Highly recommend!
Clements Johnson
Fantastic spot my friend recommended. The winter pizza with fennel was a great suggestion by the waiter. Their huge oven churns out perfectly chewy bites.
Edison Santos
Nice and cute place for interesting pizza choices. The crust is light and crispy. Place is usually packed but clean.
John Frank
Doesn't get any better! The best neapolitan pizza I've ever had. Outdoor seating through the back. Conex construction reminds me of SWA FOB.
Angelica Anaya
Late evening pizza stop. Decor is trendy and thoughtfully set up despite it's size. The service was ok and the pizza was good. Definitely over priced for the product and quality.
Angela Saiz
Amazing pizza, the crust is perfectly crisp and chewy. The atmosphere is great as well.
Adam Dungan
Great pizza, wonderful oysters and sweet cocktails and beers! Very cool space and friendly staff
Ruben Morgan
One of the best pizza spots in all of CO. Get the clam pie and thank me later.
Devin Rachles
It’s so good it’s stupid. I love the pies here. Crust is so tender and delicious. Toppings are eclectic, definitely get the clam pizza. Great snacks on their two happy hour selections. Cannot beat the $7 Daisy after 10p
Jon Ho
Clam pie was one of the best pizzas I’ve had. Focaccia is also stellar
Ian Drake
Best pizza in town with an awesome staff running things, good music and better food with killer happy hour deals. We've almost made this place our second home
Sonya Blade
Emily, the bartender, is amazing!!! The staff is so beautiful, the pizza is zeeee best (even the gluten-free, you won’t regret it)
Lauren Garcia
Great atmosphere! And nice staff! But dang, the pizza is so floppy and messy. No crunch or body to hold the toppings on. Kind of a bummer but the drinks are good!
Chaniqua Bush
I- 😭 best pizza I've ever had in Colorado hands down. It was just perfect. Send thoughts and prayers because this adorable lil place is about to get all my money 🙏🏾 Found them on a fluke late on Valentine's day we will definitely be going back soon... probably tomorrow 👀 and then imma sneak and go again for lunch on Friday 😂 …
Adam Cupingood
Their pizza is out of this world. We were waiting to go to a different place and decided to have a drink here. After a drink my group decided to order some pizza and we ended up ordering 3 rounds of pizza. I definitely recommend this place to any pizza lover!
Cody Gerhold
Who could have known that a late-night happy hour consisting of pizza, sardines, flatbread, and fernet would have been such an incredible hit? Thanks Andrew, your place gave me the best meal I've had in months, maybe years.
Linda Ring
Stopped for lunch before the Van Gogh exhibit. Shared the fall salad, olive dish, sausage & kale pizza with my Granddaughter. Wine for me, craft beer for granddaughter. Food was great! I loved the pizza crust and sausage was perfectly spicy. Enjoyed sitting on the inside patio. Definitely recommend 😋
Emily Carey
The nicest people ever work there and all of the food they make is absolutely delicious. Easily one my top 3 favorite restaurants in denver.
Katie Sproles
Pizza was great. It was busy, but we got lucky and snagged a table. The only bad part is their pizzas are not labeled for if they are vegetarian or not, and some of the meats have unique names I had not heard of. We got the mushroom and thought it was vegetarian until it came out. It was delicious, but not everyone in our party could eat it.
James Spaly
I could eat a bucket of their focaccia and olive butter. Their pizzas are also great!
Emily Buckley
Good pizza, cool location. The bread and black olive butter is amazing!!!
Triston Dimery
Really cool location. Small spot that bangs out great pizza.
Sebastian
Probably the best place to get pizza in Denver, always fresh and a great vibe. I always get the White pizza and never fails to satisfy my appetite. Great staff and selections!
Melissa Pierpoint
4.5 if I could. Pizza (daisy) was delicious. The dough/crust is amazing. A bit of a wait for pizza to be made. Staff was very friendly. I would have preferred more outdoor seating than wasn't high top. Worth the visit.
Adam Morales
I’m From out of town. Found this spot through Google . It did not disappoint. I had the chicken liver toast and daisy pizza with pepperoni. Food was incredible and prices aren’t too bad.
Alex Spampinato
Late night (good) pizza, beer, paté, and oysters. Very hard to beat, a highlight of the trip
Leanna Rutledge Jackson
This pizza is so good! I've been dreaming about returning for days now. Definitely will be back soon!!
Jonathan Vaknine
Amazing pizza with great Happy hour and late night specials!
Geoff Goodwin
Great pizzas, appetizers, and a fantastic staff! Take notice of the legit wood-burning pizza oven, then take your meal in the courtyard, surrounded by the stacked shipping containers that form the building. This place always pleases the palate and makes for an enjoyable dining experience.
Josh Gibson
Very unique tasty pies. Good selection of local craft beer. Great patio space with misters to keep you cool during the summer
Benjamin Singer
We were very excited to try this place as it had very high reviews. However, we were disappointed when our pizza came out so burnt/charred that we couldn't even eat the crust. Also, there seems to be a limited amount of cheese on the pizza's we got. The charcuterie board we ordered also had no cheese which is kind of surprising.
However the service was great, and we had great cocktails as well. Will definitely try this place again, but it didn't really meet our expectations this trip unfortunately.
Debby Pavao
Great place for Pizza. It has a great vibe and the pizza was delicious. The service was phenomenal. We sat at the bar because it was a busy Friday evening. The servers at the bar were super friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Denver.
Daniel
Editing my review because the owner took the time to respond and I appreciated the comments.
Decent pizza, overpriced in my opinion.
Cheers 🤩
Joy
Gluten free dough is top notch and Jack the server is a National Treasure. Also you can buy the olive butter in 8oz container and you will not regret doing so.
Jonathan Barrera
Great pizza and they serve oysters too?? Yes, please. 🦪
Ben C
Great pizza! Some of the best in Denver.
Super friendly.
Michael Ennis
Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Great atmosphere in reused shipping containers
Eleanor Cotton
Such flavorful and delicious pizza. I could eat the cart-driver and mushroom pizza forever. We also got oysters here, which were shockingly delicious as well (although a little pricey). The bread and butter, as well as the roasted nuts, are great appetizers. Their drink menu is small, but has a bunch of delicious items.
The staff are all so good at their jobs. We came Friday night around 8, and the host was so friendly. We only had to wait about 20 minutes, but enjoyed hanging out on the patio (they had blankets and space heaters, so it was very cozy). The waiters were all really great as well, very attentive. Overall, Cart-Driver offers a wonderful dining experience and I couldn't recommend it enough!
Shira T
Really great pizza!
Max Heintel
Pleasant atmosphere. Somewhat expensive. Pizza was solid - good but not great. This is a solid step up from the fast-casual baked while you wait personal pizza size places in terms of taste, although with an accompanying hike in wait time and price. Small menu. The char on the pizza was pleasant at first, but by the time i had eaten most of it I wished it was less charred. Crust was too thin for my taste, but I understand that's a compromise with cooking time. However, I've had much better pizza that had thicker crust, was roughly the same price and took less time to prepare elsewhere. All in all was slightly disappointed.
Leslie Levy
My husband and I have eaten at Cart Driver in the Lower Highlands several times. We always enjoy their food and service. When it came time to pick a restaurant for my son’s wedding celebration, we were so happy that the people at Cart Driver were willing to work with us. Even in the pandemic they came up with a plan to safely work within the restrictions and guidelines, and still make sure it was perfect for the happy couple. The event was executed flawlessly. Berit, their events coordinator, was so helpful in coming up with the menu and schedule. There was no problem adding some personal wedding decorations, arranging the space to fit our seating plan, and accommodating wedding speeches. Food was great, service wonderful; and everybody had the best time. I would highly recommend Cart Driver if you have a special event coming up.
Xiao Wang
I love it!!!! The cart driver pizza is sooooo good! The interior design is great, industrial style.
Love it! Definitely recommend it
Wesley Stroud
Best Pizza we've found in denver!
Staffs excellent
Foods consistently 🔥
Drinks like the Mezcal are also great 👍
TheCrafty Pandas
I had a great experience. It is small, but the workers are nice and so is the service, it is super fast. I had a regular pizza and the sauce was so good I didn't even need the mozzarella, which only enhanced the bread and sauce flavors. It's not often that you find a pizza where all of the ingredients are good on their own and together, but this was definitely it. I would recommend it to anyone, even though we all have different tastes when it comes to types of pizza we like.
Davri Zainoeddin
Great, tasty pizzas. Salad was well balanced and delicious. Placed an order for pick up and everything was ready to go when we arrived. Focaccia and olive butter are amazing
Janalee Coyle
Best restaurant in Denver! Simple concept amazing food. Clam pizza is delightful. Oysters are amazing!
Vivek Trivedi
Great pizza but who tf charges 18% gratuity for to-go order! SO UNFAIR!!!
Corinne Kelly
Cute outdoor seating on their patio. Enjoy a glass of wine and some stellar pizza. The clam pie is amazing and quite possibly one of the best pizzas I've had in my life. Tangy, salty, chewy and cheesy. Its heaven.
Mahala Ryhal
This is hands down the best pizza I have ever tasted in my entire life! We ordered the bread and butter which was accompanied by a black olive butter that was TO DIE FOR. We ordered the peppers pizza and the clam, and both were amazing. Fresh ingredients and baked in a real brick oven. Crust was light, airy and crispy. Sauce was incredible. I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could, and I'm hard to impress. :)
Torrey Witte
we haven't explored too much of Denver, but this place was quite good. These type of high end, creative, individual sized gourmet pizza places have become quite common from city to city. This one stacks up well...and corporates an architectural feature that seems to be a Denver thing...it is housed in a shipping container. I love the Cart-Driver pizza. It is so light and fresh. Cozy atmosphere and wonderful on a cold night.
J Rapp
Best Pizza in Denver. <-- Period
Don't be intimidated if it's busy. I've never had too much trouble finding a seat within 15 to 20 minutes. I know you probably wouldn't normally order this but get the canned Mackerel or Sardines. They come with olive butter and the best bread you've ever had! Also the clam pizza is completely worth it.
Patrick L
Great pizza and drinks. Limited indoor seating.
Rhys Butler
Food: got the clam pizza and was blown away with how good it tasted.
However, the service needs work. They put me on a stool with no backrest and when I tried to swap it for a chair with a backrest the waiter told me I couldn't do that because the backrest chair is meant for a party of two and the stool was meant for a party of three.
What?
My group would have stayed longer and bought more drinks if we had been made to feel comfortable. Instead, we ditched as soon as 2 of our 3 pizzas were eaten.
Gary Iverson
I'm not a pizza person, but this was incredible. Got the nduja and pea and herb cheese, a triad I wouldn't have otherwise chosen, but with the juiciest and most flavorful little lemon, it was a magnificent eating experience. The dough is great on its own (sourdough or wild yeasty), so it felt like just the right amount of toppings.
Elsa Alaswad
Best pizza in Denver alongside Bar Dough.
Pamela Lee
I am a gluten eater but my partner is gluten-free. As a result, I have eaten a lot of both types of pizzas. If I was basing this review only on the gluten food, I would give Cart-driver five stars. However, their gluten-free crust is only mediocre. Their gluten-free crust is crumbly and has only okay flavor. I would expect a restaurant with this caliber of gluten pizza to have much better gluten-free crust. Additionally, the music was on the loud side. I understand that this is the fashion now, but I do not enjoy the music this loud.Their music choice was great though. The service and the people working at the restaurant were wonderful.
Darren Baxter
Great place to eat. Happy hour special are great with 5 dollar options. Wood fire pizzas are quick, fast, and, if done correctly are great. Done so well, it ranks up there on my top 3 list of good places to eat in Denver. Highly recommended.
Jennifer Holguin
AMAZING PIZZA! Really nice staff. Perfect pizza size. Great place to eat when you’re out and about downtown.
Wade Armstrong
Great Neapolitan style za, good local beer, cool atmosphere.
Priscilla Welsh
Bleh! The pizzas were burned and soggy at the same time. Overpriced and small portions. Only go here if you’re wanting unique flavors. The worst part was pickled green strawberries. You are not supposed to eat green strawberries. Did not like this restaurant, I was very embarrassed I picked this place for my family. Know what you’re getting into.
mina wahba
this place has great pizza and I love their sourdough crust and their chicken liver mouse. they have a good selection of beers as well however the reason we keep returning to that place is the service, even tho they can get very busy the staff so their best to make us feel welcome even if we have to wait a little bit and every server we had they were amazing gave us good recommendation and when I didn't enjoy the beer I choose they replace it and took it off the check without asking. you cant go wrong going there.
Alex Bonte
The food here is GREAT. The bread appetizers in particular are amazing, I am in Denver for just a couple of days but I'm ordering from here every night.
Tonia Wu
Cart Driver is easily one of my favorite spots in Denver. It has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. The white clam pizza and garlic bread are two must haves - both dishes have so much going on but everything just works so well together (clams, white sauce, and lemon for the pizza and the fluffy bread, melted butter, and hot honey for the garlic bread). Great outdoor space too!
Eden Salon
HOLY COW. Went there on 420, and I don’t want to say this enhanced the experience because YOU GUYS, like…..literally the most incredible pizza I’ve ever eaten. Every flavor seemed like it was chosen with nothing but the best intentions for your mouth. We even got this pizza to go and it was STILL AMAZING by the time we got home. I’m literally salivating writing this.
Antonio Drusin
Best pizza period. Wood fire oven. Great pizza flavors, delectable crust and a cozy atmosphere make for one great experience. The appetizers are absolutely fabulous. I tried their chicken mousse and loved every bit of it.
Annie F.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Cart/Driver. The food is fabulously eclectic and simple and yet so flavorful. Who would think to put Hazelnuts on a pizza, and yet it's delicious! It's small so come early but it's made out of a shipping container so it's great fun! You can watch your pizza cook in the wood-fired oven. Great drinks, salads and accoutrements, including the ubiquitous oyster. Again, a simple menu which makes it easy to select your food. Parking can be a pain, as with most things in the ever-growing Rhino area. The staff are friendly and fun to match their food! Couldn't recommend Cart/ Driver more! Just go!!
Troy Halm
Really good pizza! This is one of the only place in Denver that makes gluten free crust in-house. That alone makes it special. The gluten free pizza crust is hearty and filling which is fantastic.
Be aware that they don't take reservations here and it is a pretty small place! However you can go for lunch and avoid the crowds and get the same experience.
Gilbert Segovia
Unfortunately, the flavorless pizza didn't match the service and atmosphere.
Erica Loaiza
Stopped by here after a day hanging around the street fair they had. The pizza here is very good. It's up to par with pizza back from home in NYC. This place was packed with a line out the door. It's pretty small inside with limited seating. I sat by their bar area which had enough seats for about 4-5 people. They also have seats outside for when the weather is nice. I got the basic pizza and my bf got the white. Both were tasty, but the white I enjoyed more.
Simón Jean Francois
Delicious pizza, friendly service, great outdoors setting.
Ted Robinson
Perfect for an upscale but casual dinner.
The woodfired pizza and fresh oysters are a great combo.
SoNevable
Stupid fast service. Pizzas were hand made, cooked and to the table within 5 minutes of ordering. All of the ingredients were extremely fresh as well. They offer traditional pizzas to crazy unique flavors (strawberry and asparagus.) The restaurant is built out of shipping containers and has very unique decor. Highly recommended.
Brittany Davis
I noted this spot prior to our stay in Denver and was pleasantly surprised that it was across the street from our hotel. We got in late the first night but we were lucky to make it for their late night happy hour. The concept is so neat and while the inside area is small, you don't feel as if you are sitting in a shipping container. We were greeted by the owner, who was incredibly welcoming and polite. We watched as he welcomed each customer. You don't get that at very many places so it was nice to experience. Their homemade prosecco is a must-try. The Daisy pizza was also amazing. I wanted to venture out to try their clam pizza but couldn't stray from The Daisy. It's probably my favorite margarita pizza I've ever had. You can tell this place is loved by the locals. It was packed every night we went... we visited every day we were there. Obviously, we like pizza. haha! Thank you Cart-Driver!
Emily Chambers
The pizza was incredible! The flavor of the sauce on the Daisy was probably the best I’ve ever had. All their pizzas are innovative and delicious. The service was also great! We will definitely be going back again and again.
BDOG2244
Absolutely love this place. Can't go wrong with a daisy coupled with sardines and toast. I know what you're thinking, but don't knock it until you try it.
Demitrio Martinez
This is a great place for a late night pizza. The happy hour specials are delicious and the staff is very friendly.
Joanna C
ugh, drool. loved this place. vibe so good staff SO lovely. go for just a cocktail and sardines on very yum focaccia or order tons of zaza. solid white negroni & pizza crust is 👌. Had lomo for the first time & consider me obsessed. can't wait to come back and try oystersss! …
Clare Stetson
Delicious pizza cooked in a real fire oven 👌🏼
The cocktails are great too! The back patio is a very quaint area to relax. Cute for casual dates or girls night. …
Kṛṣṇa Santos
Had a really delicious, fresh-tasting pizza. The crust was a great mix of soft and chewy, with a nice hint of sourness and a good char. Pizza can weigh you down, but this was nice and light. The topping were also just right, balanced and not too heavy on cheese. The chili oil at the tables is delicious too and genuinely spicy. I ended with a Negroni, which IMO could have been more balanced with a fruitier vermouth, but at $10 that's nitpicking. Would definitely recommend, but indoor seating is limited, so be aware on days with bad weather.
Thomas Arias
I flew into Denver with a rumble in my tummy but my brother knew just the place to go, Cart-Driver! Between the two of us, we ordered two pizzas and two beers and left only one slice behind. Very delicious and it hit the spot.
The wait time was fair and prices are decent. The pizza is very unique and I'm sure if you blindly picked one off the menu, then it would be a great pick no matter what. The place seemed kind of small and seating is limited but it wasn't busy when we went. Great place overall!
Jonathan Garbett
Great little pizzas with tons of character. They've always got something new and unique on their menu. Make sure to check their social media for hours updates and stuff.
Jen Petsche
A little hole-in-the-wall feel, but excellent food!
The gluten free pizza is made out of chick peas, and it pretty tasty. Salads and desserts are pretty tasty as well.
I also love that the chef only cooks with a fire oven. It is just a great place!
Amanda K.
I'm so happy that there's somewhere in Denver with amazing pizza. The location is pretty cramped but stylish (in an old shipping container!!); there are shared tables in back, since it's generally packed. The main attractions are the oysters, and, of course, the pizza. My partner's favorite is the clam pizza, and I love the Mariner, which is a cheeseless pizza that I always order with pepperoni. I had given up on enjoying pizza after becoming lactose intolerant, but believe me: this pizza is so good that I don't miss the cheese.
Alexandria Reed
So good! Not your typical pizza spot
Matt Lee
Overall: Good pizza, but it was pricey for what it was. We spent $60 for 2 personal sized pizzas and one appetizer.
The service was great except for a mishap that wasn't communicated clearly with us. The numbering system must have become out of sync with orders becoming mismatched among tables around us. So a waitress walked by, quickly swiped our number without saying anything, and we had to chase her down. After trying to explain what happened, she seemed confused. Long story short, it took a while to get the situation rectified.
Ken Yoon
Love this spot. Everything is delicious. Period
Pranjali Sharma
Interesting pizza choices - we chose mariner, mushroom with green chillies and daisy. I personally loved the mushroom one the best followed by the daisy and the mariner, but friends loved them all. We also took their version of garlic bread. The butter with it was fantastic, but the bread in itself didn't have a strong garlic taste that I look for.
My drink choice was "Death in the afternoon" - it tasted like an overdose of fennel which, although I prefer a taste in my food, was not a good drink! The beers were really good and my friends enjoyed their choices. They chose the tap and a lager, which were ordered again, while I nursed the fennel drink. So although I cut a star for the bread and my drink, this place gets a 4 for its pizza and beer!
Sarah Montgomery
My favorite pizza in Denver! Go to is The Cart Driver. The oysters are always fresh and delicious, and the sardines are a must! Prosecco on tap, and a small but tasty beer selection. Small space, so it gets busy, but take out is great. Definitely recommend!
Angel Rodriguez
Great pizza and service. I'm from Chicago originally and need good quality pizza. This creatively expensive joint fits the bill. Very pleasant atmosphere and willingness to help is greatly appreciated. Great deals and ambience during happy hour 10-12 pm.
Catherine Mucciolo
My boyfriend and I are visiting Denver for the first time. We wanted to grab something to split before heading to a brewery, and pizza sounded great.
The server was friendly and greeted us promptly as we came into the door. The restaurant was really cool, container style, and smells fantastic. We ordered the Cart Driver to split and whew! It is delicious. The crust was perfectly flaky and the sausage is fresh. 10/10 would recommend
Jean Schulte
Fantastic food. Black olive butter with fresh baked bread (and imported canned fishes if you're feeling adventurous!) is a must, and the Peppers pizza is excellent. Great early and late night happy hours too.
G Stone
The pizzas here are designed straightforward but don't let that fool you. The exquisite locally sourced ingredients and careful preparation make for a perfect pie. The staff was amazing and answered all our questions about dough, preparation, and procedures. The whole experience was tremendous. And that Focaccia? A monstrous and perfect specimen.
Zac W
My favorite pizza place in Denver! Space is small and it's usually packed but the wait is worth it. Excellent food and great people! Cart Driver pizza & a Manhattan is my go to order. Late night happy hour (10-midnight during the week) features $5 pizza & drinks, so awesome.
Aaron Klingensmith
This is the spot. By all means, keep exploring other Denver pizza places (because variety, right?) but this is the spot that you make your home base; that you become a regular at. Because this is, hands down, the best pizza in Denver with an awesome staff.
Monica Stone
There are six dollar, whole, simple pizzas that are absolutely delicious. It is a great place to stop in to eat as you cruise around Denver drinking. Cheap, fun and fast service, nest design, back room nook, two thumbs up!
Teddy Womp
Best crust in Denver! Cart driver is awesome, usually I don't even eat my pizza crust but here it's just as good as the rest of the pizza. Also, you can dip it in the house made hot sauce (constantly changing varieties red, green etc). Oysters are great if not a little on the pricy side and good cheap wines on tap. Awesome late happy hour. So good.
mjvno
Best pizza in Denver (Colorado for that matter)! I travel quite a bit (and I love good pizza). Having lived in Italy and NYC, my expectations of authentic wood-fired pizza is quite high and Cart-Driver has never disappointed. The Happy Hour is too good to be true and the space is great too!!! See you there!
Joshua Scherz
The crew is talented. From preparation to presentation everything is 100% on point. Fresh ingredients and tinned fish collection worthy of the wine cellar. All this done with fun and smiling. Top joint for friends night out or date night!
Mariah Solomon
everything about this place is amazing. I've been here twice. Once with my sister and once with my husband. Both times I've ordered pizzas. I also love their little tasting appetizers, such as the olives. Their oyesters will keep me coming back!
Jeremy Gunderman
Delicious artisan pizzas with fresh toppings in a casual, hip environment. Limited seating inside, but larger outside patio seating available. Small but excellent beer, wine and cocktail selection. Fresh oysters. Not the cheapest pie in town, but worth the cost.
Brandon Herbst
This place is awesome. Great food, great drinks, cool people. Sometimes gets busy, can take a little time, but well worth it. The daisy was great, clam was amazing, but the cart driver was the favorite. Loved the chop salad too. Stoked to come back!
sharicka long
A bite of their pizza is worth the excruciatingly horrible parking situation.
Michael Allen Stevenson
One my Denver favorites. Best pizza crust in an oven straight from Italy. Perfect oysters served properly with the liquor in them. Great drinks. Super friendly staff and owners. Highly recommend this place.
Jay Nelson
This is, hands down, one of the best pizza places around. The owner and everyone there goes out of their way to make it a pleasant experience, and the food - and prices! - are unbeatable. It also has a great choice of seating indoors and outdoors.
Nathan Corliss
So good. The char on the pizza makes it melt in your mouth. The drinks are solid as heck, and the staff is aggressively friendly. I ate here twice on a two day trip to Denver.
Careful with the hot sauce. Don't get burnt.
Bryson Craven
One of the best pizzas I have ever had. Amazing and super nice staff. Awesome atmosphere. Highly recommend if you are ever in Rino
Matt Hoskins
Great pizza, wood fired and a nice selection of beer and Stem Cider
Samantha Garcia-Gallegos
I have been coming to cart driver for 2 years now. I would go after work late at night due to being a chef. It has never disappointed me it was always a good way to end a long day. The pizza crust is to die for. The hot sauce is amazing. The bread and sardines is very high quality. You can tell they have someone making the dough who knows what they’re doing. I worked at a pizza place, and would order from cart driver, and eat it at the pizzeria I was currently working at because it was it was so much better then my workplace pizza. Thanks for making great pizza. Much love to the BOH and FOH staff for all you do.
Alexa Go
I love margherita pizza and Cart-Driver’s is the best I’ve had in Denver. Their other varieties are fantastic as well. The happy hour pricing is unbeatable; downside is there can sometimes be a long wait for your food on weekends but that’s pretty typical anywhere
Amy Korb
Pretty good clam pizza, not sure it was worth waiting 45 minutes. Premixed cocktail was very strong, not my favorite but fine for $10. Wish I'd gotten a spritz. The patio is nice, but could be brutal in the sun. Would give it another chance when the lines are shorter.
Erick Holzhausen
Great pizza and atmosphere. Loved the oyster and pizza combination in this restaurant! It is more fast-casual than we expected, but we enjoyed that. Wait staff is very helpful, and we had great service. We had the peppers and white pizzas-both delicious.
zachary vogel
Really outstanding pizza. Clearly they take the time to pick their ingredients and prepare them with diligence. The hot sauce is also really outstanding and they make it themselves. The actual restaurant was clean, but certainly down to earth enough for a casual meal.
Minh Nguyen
I would say ‘the best pizza restaurant in town’.
Sean Herbold
This place is amazing! Pizza and oysters! Great happy hour offers as well.
Jodie Navarre
Some of the best pizza in Denver. Crust is always perfect. A bit crispy and mostly soft. The chicken patte is so flavorful, definitely a must. Clam pizza and mushroom pizza are my favorite. The location is great and the size is cute!
Rob Fitzpatrick
Great service and top-notch pizzas. Lots of outdoor seating and they've adjusted really well to accommodate outdoor and distant dining. Their house cocktails are delicious, too!
Logan Kaplan
Awesome pizza! Delicious and simple. Excellent service too, kind and helpful.
Patrick McGarry
Some of the best pizza I've had. Happy hour draught prosecco and excellent oysters. And on top of that amazing service. We went early with our 10 month old daughter and had 4 staff members visit us to make sure our meal was up to snuff. This is one of the best upscale hipster restaurants I've ever eaten at.
Aryan Sefidi
We got the clam pizza and the pepper. It was fairly tasty, but a little sparse on the clam and the crust was a little more burnt than I would have liked. Also, the portions were a little small - we ate one pizza each and still felt a little hungry afterwards. Definitely not bad, but also not great.
Neal Stalker
Pizza was flavorful but real floppy/soggy.
Was not pleased with the mandatory 18% “to go” gratuity fee. I literally walked in and picked up the pizza. This feels a lot like gauging the customer.
Scott Brabson
Arguably the best pizza in Denver. Able to balance refinement with that gooey cheesy goodness that we all look for in pizza. one of the most generous late night happy hours as well, can't beat a $5 Daisy Pizza. As good as it was on the day it opened.
lauren zikowitz
Mushroom pizza was amazing! Oysters were so good. Cute atmosphere and so simple. Everything is made in house so you know they care! Will come back for sure!
Bryan Gillespie
Top quality wood fired pizza. The service is always fast and friendly.
Erin Pintozzi
I love this little pizza shop. The pies are really delicious. This place isn't super fancy or loud but their pizzas are unique with some great non-typical pizzas. It is just about as perfect a place as you can get for enjoying a great pizza with friends.
Geryll Anthony Agno
Great pizza. Good liquor. I wish they have beer on tap but overall a great time.
Reychel Saflor
Excellent food and service. Clam pizza is exceptional. The late night happy hour always hits; the fresh baked bread with sardines, olive butter, and sambal is a gourmet throwback to my poor, humble upbringing.
Craig Turpin
The combination of Oysters and Pizza is genius! Along with a stellar selection of beers this is a go-to spot when I visit Denver. It has a young fun trendy vibe and rightfully so as it's situated in a great up and coming neighborhood. It's a small joint so plan accordingly and enjoy the area while you wait for a table.
Jeremy D. Becker
The SO and I love this place! Whenever we have visitors in town we are sure to make a stop in. The food, vibe, service are all tremendous!
Most recently we stopped in for a late lunch on NYE. They were slammed but the dynamic duo didn’t even break a sweat. Nothing lagged. They put on a clinic in teamwork and multitasking! Courtney and Alan ran the show!
Recommend:
- chicken liver mousse
- cart driver
- Peppers
- just about everything
JRS
Best pizza in Denver, IMO. Love this place. Seating is limited but it's great for warm weather.
Michael Magistro
Please add kalamata olives, green olives, and red peppers to the antipasto.
Shlomi ma
What a great place , everything is just perfect. It's not just another pizza place . The service is incredibly good especially Noah and I think it was the owner who asked us how was it , and i told him that the bread that came with the chicken liver pate reminding me my grandma's bread so he went and pack me one to go. Seriously if you're looking for a place that it's not just another pizza place but a place that thinks outside of the box go there you won't be disappointed!
Peter Winscott
I’ve had a lot of brick oven pizzas and Cart Driver is the best. The yeast in the dough was specifically and purposefully sourced by Chef Andrew. Cooked crisp to perfection. The oyster bar is always good- definitely fresh. This place is great to meet up with friends or take the family.
That Guy
Great service. Helpful in recommending their favs. Food was delicious. I was recommended the peach pizza. But went with the second option. When I seen the peach one come out of the oven it looked so good. Will definitely go back on next trip just for that
Peter Sunden
Outstanding oysters and appetizers. I have yet to sample a pizza but they looked amazing. The two gentlemen inside were super friendly and detail-oriented. The Conex box motif reminds me of Re:Start in Christchurch NZ. Cool but limited seating options.
Chris Davison
Fantastic late night spot. Everything from the cheap last call Manhattans to the beer selection is great if you need alcohol. However the food is where they truly shine. Oysters, fire grilled pizza, gourmet olives, etc. I had to visit two nights in a row it was such a perfect experience.
Victoria Price
Went here for dinner with some friends out of town. Pizza dough is really good not gonna lie but being a vegan I find paying $10 for some dough and tomato sauce too much. Salad was pretty decent but again $10.
Seems way overpriced
David M. Cohen
Good 5 dollar pizza after 10pm. Highly recommend
Sarah Caroline Mueller
Super yum. Had a special vegan pizza made for me with mushrooms and kale. It was $5 happy hour (after 10pm). Drinks are expensive and the outdoor seating is not so nice, it smells funny and I saw a mouse. Stay inside I guess.
Liberty Tillemann-Dick
It's perfect pizza. That sounds like hyperbole, but it's really not. Their white pie is the best I've ever had, and I eat a lot of pizza! But it doesn't end with perfect pie. The staff is extremely pleasant, I recently acquired an infant, and everyone who works there is kind and accommodating to the complications of parenthood. Also, their alcohol selection is 👌🏻. They have a hopped cider that will make you question why you ever drink anything else.
Greg M
Somewhat hipster-ish little spot with a large patio and small menu. Two beers on tap, with an eclectic collection of canned beer. Clam pizza was good, Oysters are pricey, but they make a decent Manhattan. Nice ambience, pet friendly.
Cyn Cynthia
Went for the night menu (after $10). $5 pizza, drink special and apps. Think regular menu was also available, definitely open bar menu.
We had sardines, chicken liver mouse, pizza and Mexican coke. The bread was really good!
Meghan Mack
The food is exceptional - I highly recommend the mushroom pizza. This place is perfect for high quality food with a casual atmosphere. The service is great too. They have outdoor & indoor seating. Will go back here 100 times!
Paris Picard
Some of the best pizza in denver. Highly recommend. I do wish they would try out a different gluten free pizza crust, the cauliflower crust is really hard to eat and there are definitely other options that taste better.
Mike Kurfess
The clam pizza was amazing, it’s a really small space with good drinks and friendly service. I’ll be stopping by again on my next trip to Denver. I can’t wait to try some of the other pizzas and their other creations. Great neighborhood as well!
Allison Gary
We went to try this place out before going to a concert, and first thing first... they had prosecco on tap! For this gal, that alone was such a treat! The person who greeted us was very friendly and gave us the run-down on how the place runs. They sort of wait on you, but you order at the counter as well and can keep a tab open for food and drink. We ordered a chopped salad that was tasty (though I would have liked less olives), and we split the Peppers pizza that was so good with just enough spice but not too much. The atmosphere was fun, service was quick, flavors were good, and prosecco was on tap! I look forward to enjoying an evening here again.
Will Patzke
Short wait for food even during peak hours. Pizza tastes awesome, some of the best brick-fired I've had outside of Italy. The hot sauce that they make is amazing too. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors
Greg Owen
Amazing pizza, fun atmosphere. It's really small, so crowding can be an issue. If prices are scary try happy hour, they have great deals on food and drinks during their happy hours.
erin boyle
Great pizza. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Killer foccicia!!!
Trevor Van Timmeren
Ate here three times the week I was in Denver...the pizza here is to die for!
Lauren Pawell
This place has AMAZING pizza! Geez louise, was this meal delicious. My fiance and I went to Cart Driver for the firs time when my brother and his girlfriend were visiting in town. We loved sitting out on the back patio and chowing down on some fabulous pizza. Plus, the staff was uber-friendly and the vibe was really relaxed. Can't wait to go back again!
Allison Clements
This place is always insanely busy, but moves quickly and is worth it. Pizza, cocktails, oysters are all wonderful, but I especially dream of the chicken liver mousse! The staff last night were all friendly and helpful, and Noah made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for being so great!
Brianna Grajcar
A must - the mushroom pizza, add sausage. So, so good. We love this place and try to go often. Prices are a bit steep, especially after adding sausage to an already expensive pizza, but obviously that hasn't kept us from going :)
Ximena Ramirez
Some of the best if not the best pizza in Colorado! I have been here twice this week for there happy hour and Im telling all my friends about it!
I cant wait to try their oysters next time
Ryan Green
Decent pizza but inconsistent service. My buddy and I ordered the same thing one after another but his order took at least 30min longer than mine to come out. Staff was friendly
Rebecca B
It's been said that people relax more when dining outdoors. I can affirm this is the case at Cart-Driver. The outdoor space was done really well. As for the food, I tried the summer and the peppers pizza. Both were delicious! My favorite was the summer pizza which had peaches, red onion, and pancetta...divine!
matthew mangus
It's a busy atmosphere in a small space, but the staff works very hard to make everyone feel welcome. We were especially impressed by the extra care we received from the owner Andrew. Great pizza. We will be back.
Khary Peterson
Great selection of artisan pizza. The dough recipe is light, savory and cooked perfectly.
Gregory Forney
This pizza is great. Sometimes there is a wait, but it is well worth it. They have a wood-fired oven that gives the pizza a great flavor, and just the right amount of char on the crust!
Zain Khan
5 stars because this place needs to be an inspiration to Denver's highly lacking late night dining scene. Great pizza, super fast service (even when packed), and delicious *high-quality* food that is extremely cravable after a night on the town.
No stereotypical late-night greaseball here; The bread and butter and white pie are both out of this world, day or night.
Brian Fox
Food was good. The Pizza was amazing. Took a chance in the oysters. They weren't bad for sure but I have had better. The staff was great and the location is super unique. I would for sure go back.
L I
Ok so where do I begin. Great food. Great atmosphere. It's really Denver on a plate. I ordered the kale spinach pizza and eat the whole pizza by myself. #fatgirlproblems lol. Definitely add it to your stop when you visit the city.
Emily Swad
Best chicken liver mousse I’ve ever had
Aydin P
Odd. Expensive. Millenial.
Their menu is odd. Not that I care about pepperoni or barbeque pizza, but their menu is just odd; this can be a good thing if their pizza tastes good. It didn't for us.
A pizza ranges fron $12-22 before tip (there is a tip line). It can be shared between two medium sized people, but they will finish it with room to spare.
Overall, eh.
Tiger Lansing
This is the best pizza in Denver. All of the food, especially the oysters are unbelievable and the service is top notch. Great place for a night out with small or large group. Highly recommended!
Claire Czarnecki
This is the best pizza I've had so far in denver. The peppers and the plain pizzas are incredible. The white pizzas are also tasty, but the reds really shine. The chopped salad was also tasty and not boring. Can't beat the prosecco on tap :)
Lauren Drooger
Good food, but I was expecting more from what I had heard. I will be coming back though!
Jay O'Meara
I don't play the "I'm a New Yorker" card often, but in the case of pizza I have no choice. This pizza is legit. It's not cheap, but damn it's worth it. Plus the staff could not be more pleasant and enjoyable. From a New Yorker: highly recommended.
Tyler Harned
Friends and I stopped here to grab food before going over to Death and Co. I love the walkup and order service. Great location and proximity to other spots you need to hit in the same night. Marinated Olives were a fastastic starter and some local craft brews.
Matt W
Although they were very busy and had a lot going on, the staff provided a very punctual service and was very friendly too. I actually knocked two water glasses off the counter and they broke everywhere. But the employee that noticed it got right on it and cleaned it up, even after I offered. Great place and that LoDo atmosphere. Hopefully I'll have employment here soon, I just really like seeing the teamwork here, and I am and have always been a team play..er. Well thanks for the good pizza and hope to join the team of solid individuals. Defenatly give this great establishment a try. You'll really enjoy it and will also be back. -Tobe
Anthony Chirichillo
Great pizza, reminded me of being at my grandfathers house when he would make fresh pizza for the whole family. Awesome atmosphere and amazing staff
Sasha Kupershmidt Alexanian
Wonderful place! While they may say that there's a long wait, all three times I've been there, we were able to find a table in under 30 minutes so don't be deterred! Also, while you wait, they have a beautiful courtyard and bar in the back if you walk through the restaurant. Highly recommend!
Matt Thaner
Excellent pizza with a great patio to enjoy it in. Also the drinks were killer and the service is perfect every time. One of my go to spots in Denver for sure.
Trent Bratten
Really good food. I felt like it was a little expensive for a personal pizza and some roasted nuts but my wife picked the pizza we got so maybe that's why. However the atmosphere was also really cool so I'd eat there again.
Caroline Watson
“I love this pizza” my 7 year old
NANDOSANABRIA
Really good pizza and oysters!! Great service
Fred Peter
Without a doubt the greatest pizza, I have ever eaten, woodbeurning stove cooked by a serious pro. Also offers spectacular oysters. (Expensive!). Technically not a full table service restaurant, but the space is so small it's only a step or two to pop up to the counter and order another round.
Victoria McDonald
Best pizza in Denver hands down. Start with both the lemon ricotta and the prosciutto, then order a couple pizzas. The white pizza and the cart driver are definitely my favorites, but they are all really good!!
Arlo Truett-Schriber
Very kind staff, nice tiny but cozy building. Also great and affordable food! Someone in my family lost their retainer at the store and they helped us find it which saved us a lot of cash. I would recommend this place 👍🏻 …
Damantha Devours
Wood fired pizzas, oysters, craft beer and prosecco on tap...an amazing amalgamation of different foods. They have two outdoors seating options both in the sun during lunch. Staff is super friendly.
Danny Baldus-Strauss
One of my favorite restaurants in Colorado so far. Amazing pizzas, great oysters, and a really cool vibe in an old shipping container. This is one of the few spots I always take out-of-towners to
Scott Gorsky
Very hip and trendy place to have an informal business meeting with clients. The permanent pizza table that runs across the middle of the booths can be a little problematic for presentation and the playing of table games. The cider served in a rocks glass for $5 at happy hour is a little bit pricey for my taste...but overall a good vibe and experience.
Ashton Smith
Incredible food and fantastic ambiance. The staff are engaging, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft. The vibe is whatever you make of it. A great place for a date, a work dinner, or a casual post-game spot makes it really hard to pass up a visit to Cart Driver when I'm in the area.
Broncster33
Cart-Driver is the quintessential modern pizza experience in Denver, CO. Absolutely beautiful design indoors and out, friendly and approachable staff as soon as you walk in, and creative food and drink selections. I had the "White" pizza which was perfectly seasoned and well blended. Will absolutely be my first stop each returning trip to Denver and my number one recommendation for future visitors!
Madeline Hill
Ross (I hope that was his name) was amazing and the pizza was the best in Denver, so far! Our drinks came a little late, but everything else made up for it. Thanks for a great experience!
Robert Smith
Tremendous bread appetizer, some of the best I've ever had, but the pizza crust was a little weak... Incredibly high quality ingredients and good atmosphere. Good place.
Justin Luke
Living in the neighborhood this the wifeys and my favorite spot for any occasion. Fancy or casual. Even if it weren't just down the steet I would travel far and wide for their small but excellent menu. The service is always excellent. The food is incredibly fresh. The happy hours are great. Can't say enough about this place. Only downside is its small and can get noisy due to the design of being built in a shipping container but makes for a fun atmosphere.
Jonathan Noel
I was lucky enough to find out about this place the last time I visited Denver. The reviews do not lie, this place is amazing. It's easily the best wood-fired style pizza I've ever had.
jessica K
GET THE PIZZA! You won't be disappointed, just delicious! Really great service too. Went after work, nice breeze on the partly enclosed indoor/outdoor space.
Mackenzie Brisben
So far this is my favorite pizza in the city. A cute little joint you could walk by without noticing but it’s definitely worth the notice. Great food and drink.
Kat Marijke Stuut
Not a huge fan of the food but fun atmosphere and great location. The focaccia bread was really good, just unimpressed with the pizza
James Brunt
Honestly great atmosphere! Best pizza I have ever had will definitely be back! Also awesome and down to earth staff! Love it here!!
Heather Anderson
Visited in September and I am still thinking about it. Loved the chic vibe, especially sitting in the booth in front of the counter. I hate clams but devoured the clam pizza 😲 Wonderful fresh oysters. …
Mike Walker
Pizza and limited drink counter service only. Just ok. Most beer is in cans, one on tap that I recall. Nice patio.
Rebecca M
Best pizza I've eaten so far. Delicious.
Skyler Gifford
Incredible pizza and good drinks. The dough blew my mind with its simultaneous char and squishy texture.
Zaki Hamid
Honestly my personal favorite restaurant and bar in Denver. The food is incredible and so well considered, and the drinks are top notch. Staff is incredible and it’s always a memorable night at Cart Driver!
IG Habit_at
Cozy and I very much mean it. There's not a lot of sitting room so be prepared. That said, they make awesome use of the space that they have with two outdoor patios and the length of the shipping container. I can't eat pizza anymore (although I've had it and it's good) but that's not why I go to Cart-Driver. Nope. Prosecco on tap and fresh oysters sing to my soul instead. (ps they also have sake in individual pull tab jars!!!) This is always the first stop on my Rino restaurant hop.
Sebastian Gast
The pizza here is ridiculous. So good. And I eat pizza a LOT. Plus some great local beer and cider in a cool shipping container setting. Easily my go-to pizza place in Denver.
Mary Kennedy
Stopped by for a drink while waiting for a table at Death & Co. The service and the food were so outstanding that it didn’t matter that Death & Co. never texted us for our table. Thank you to Andrew for such an unforgettable evening! Our expectations were exceeded, to say the least.
Trish Draege
A cool place to stop in for a bite and drink. The mushroom pizza is delicious!
J Brown
Best to go in more traditionally off hours to avoid the crowds, or to visit when you are hungry but not starving. The pizza is def. worth the wait. Clam pizza is the highlight.
Jennifer Prushko
Amazing pie! We had their clam pie (mind you we grab pepe's back home regularly) and it was better. Fresh clams and thick cut bacon. High quality brews as well!
Christopher Hayes
Simply perfect. Consistent, delicious pizza. The best around. Friendly staff, quality cocktails, interesting section of amaros. Too many good things to say about Cart-Driver.
Kate Monforti
As a dairy-free person, I miss pizza. Cart-Driver's vegan pizza goes far to fill that large large void. The service is top notch and their by housemade sauces are great too.
Anthony Lygizos
One of my favorite restaurants in Denver, without question. They are always on-point. Can’t wait to go back.
Derek Bouthilette
Two words that will change your life: Clam Pizza
WARNING: Don't eat unless you're ok with no other culinary experience ever living up to this one. This will ruin every other food forever. No matter where you go, how much you spend or who you're with... you'll constantly be haunted by the thought that "This is nice.... but it doesn't top that clam pizza..." When I proposed to my wife in a Michelin Star restaurant last fall... I had that very same thought. Sometimes I still sneak out and visit Cart-driver. My wife thinks I'm in the office. But no... I'm revisiting a happiness that nothing else -- including my wife-- will ever bring me
Daran Thach
This place is much more roomy than the outside appears to give the impression of. 5/5
The combination of chicken foie gras, piada bread and butter, and bela sardines are insanely tasty. Just having 5 bites of that is not enough, no matter how early you've eaten. The 10pm-12am $5 happy hour pricing makes it equally a surprise.
Jim B
WOW, The pizza here is amazing. My wife and I come here almost every friday. I love how different the pizza is compared to other pizza joints around town. Salad was fresh too.
Simon Lee
If IKEA were a restaurant, this would be it. Lovely spot with great food made to order. The staff is a treat to watch and each member is outgoing, friendly, helpful and kind. Can't wait for the return trip!
Doug Melvin
As a born New Yorker, I try to find things that remind me of home. Cart Driver may not be exactly the same, but it's as good or better than a lot of pizza back home. Since leaving my home state, I just tell people I don't like pizza to stop them from trying to feed me pizza I won't like, but Cart Driver is one of two places outside my home state I would go without question. The other is Bosslady Pizza up in Boulder.
Colby Schwartz
My wonderful girlfriend took me here for a birthday dinner. Great spot for date night. A little small, so go on a warm day where you can sit outside. Service, drinks, and food are top notch.
shana wade
Love it! This isn't your typical pizza joint! If you are looking for great atmosphere, interesting flavor combinations and delish cocktails look no further!
Graham Edwards
Great pizza. Their late night happy hour is the best.
SAIF
The best pizza ever and sardines
Dan D
Really good pizza. The chicken live mouse was amazing.
Mario Martinez
Awesome place to stop by and get a quick bite to eat! Their Chicken Liver Mousse is delicious and a must try! White pizza was also very delicious!
Richard Bailey
Just get here, great pies, small selection of booze and beer. But everything done with precision and care. Maybe the best happy hour in Denver, late night only, perfect for those in the industry.
David Chan
Wow. Amazing food. Fast and fun with a great atmosphere. The pizza is it's own style, something different from the traditional we have done to expect.
Dillon Wanner
Margarita pizza is so good!!
Joey Wenberg
Pizza 5/5: wood-fired and delicious (got the Peppers)
Drinks 5/5: got the Death in the Afternoon
Atmosphere 5/5: intimate, cozy, inviting
Oysters 4/5: only rating 4/5 because we are very far from the ocean but they were good either way
Overall 5/5
Deandra D'Souza
Visited this local pizzeria in Denver and loved it. Simple elegant flavorful oven baked pizza.
Will go there anytime again.
Daniel Zinski
This place had good pizza but some of the prices were a bit much. In my opinion pizza is too simple a dish to get carried away with the prices. Also the oysters were about 4 dollars a piece.
Han Sibert
Absolutely delicious. The food tasted so fresh, I turned around to see where the basil was growing. I can't wait to come back. 10/10 would pizza again.
Aaron Stoneberger (DasBerger)
Unique pizza offerings that are quite tasty. Not the biggest fan of the physical space, very small. Can also get very loud inside, perhaps some simple wall treatments to combat the corrugated metal walls.
Brian T.
5 stars to counter the cranky covid-denying hag 🎉 (she also reviews McDonald’s on her profile). Disclaimer: not affiliated with Cart-driver in any way. I just hate ridiculous people & small businesses deserve to be treated better. …
Marcus Porter
Small place, great food. You will immediately know how good the food is going to be walking in the front door. The smell of the pizza cooking is amazing.
Brent Hauser
Impressive wood fired pizza, charre was perfect. Fresh basil flavor in 'the daisey' and recommend the savory 'cart-driver' with balance of meat, oil, crispy kale, cheeses. Took a 2year old + 9 month old with no issue with open seating (Wednesday 6pm) High chair was available! park the stroller outside the back gate :).
Beau Bublitz
Great special 10 inch pizzas. Little high on the price but it's good. It only sits about 15-20 people inside which is it's down fall.
TJ Willis
Had no wait. Fiancée and I walked in, found a seat in the courtyard and shared the Peppers pizza & Summer pizza. Both were really good. I found myself a big of the hot sauce.
Fresh Mootz
Perfection. Pizza is worth every penny. I’ve never had a white clam quite like this. Friendly staff. Attention to detail. Fresh ingredients.
Debbie Bennett
This was fine. Their signature pizza was lacking, and for these prices and the quality they claim, it would be better as a sit down full-service. As is, I would recommend only if you are in a hurry.
shane etter
Outside of Italy itself, this is the best oven pizza you'll find anywhere. And I mean anywhere. And yes, I've searched other planets!
Kaitlin Plave
This place is so good that my drunk self had three personal pizzas in one night and I didn't even hate myself in the morning. Super fresh ingredients. Soo good.
onomamoo
Consistently the best pizza in Denver coupled with fantastic service. This place never fails to impress. Thank you for being in my life. I love you, Cart Driver. Sincerely, Pizza Eater
Alexis Wells
Amazing gluten free pizza! Don't skip the olive butter 🤤 …
Zachary Lewis
Such a cute little place. Very unassuming in a coop type place with multiple adjoined shipping containers. Everything made to order. Cozy with the fire oven providing heat and setting the mood.
Lee Ann Volosin
Delicious pizza, super cute little spot and really awesome happy hour deals. All of their pizzas are great and service is incredibly friendly.
Raven “Fishslap666” 777
These guys are amazing great food and great staff. Been there twice and even though you place your order up at the register (they have places to sit down but not a someone to come and take your order) they still take the time to come over to your table ask you what you need, and go above and beyond to provide excellent service, even when they are slammed. Awesome place
Gio
The night night happy hour was fantastic! The sardines and toast really steal the show because the bread is fluffy and delicious. And how can you go wrong with some pilsner and Fernet? I wish it wasn't just an oz of Fernet though. And a fire pit or heaters would be great outside.
harmonie marie bettenhausen
One of my favorite pizza places ever. Clam pizza was amazing. In fact, you can’t go wrong with any of the pies. And the happy hour negronis!
Ethan Ruhland
Love everything about this place! Drinks are sooo good! Pizzas are literally fire. Definitely check this spot out!
witzer133
Amazing food. Small spot, but is worth it. Pizza, appetizers, oysters, drinks, all phenomenal. I’m not a local, and happy for these reviews—so paying it forward.
Chris couch
Great pizzas Unique and fantastic tasting.!!! Staff is top notch, knowledgeable with suggestions. Can't wait to go again!!
Christian Marweg
One of the best wood fire pizzas I've ever had!
Danielle Hess
We had such an amazing experience here!! So grateful for all the staff, especially Noah and Chris- they were so helpful and recommended the best dishes! Love this place and looking forward to summer!
Ben Rudd
One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had and I am from NYC area
Laura Hoffman
Delicious food, friendly service, always able to get in when other places are crowded. Love the chicken liver mousse and cart-driver pizza. Prosecco on tap!
Darlene LaVoy
Super fun pizza shop. The Mushroom Pizza is amazing! Tried several and this was our favorite by far!!!
Bobby Battista
Excellent food, cool ambiance, and the server was superb - like when someone really is engaged in their work and seems to take pride in it. We all asked if he was the owner, because he seemed like it, and he said no - just a great guy. Highly recommended.
Michelle Whitelonis
Amazing pizza served in tight quarters. I recommend ordering for pick up. It's a bit pricey, but worth the splurge.
Devan Daniels
The quality of ingredients is everything here. And you gotta put the Chile oil on it :) outdoor patio is so cool
Dan P
Food was decent but nothing amazing. I ordered the Cart Driver and it was good but 17 for a personal pizza is a bit much and we aren't cheap diners. Service was solid and we had a very nice time.
MDF
Delicious pizza. Tasty cocktails. Cool atmosphere. Friendly staff. The apple crumble dessert was just ok.
Kamil Ciesielski
So tasty! Try their pizza named as the place, is takes kale to another level :)
Esmeralda Hernandez
Traveling from San Antonio and stopped by cart-drive,pizza was great and delicious. I recommend this place for best oven brick pizzas!! And during happy hour $5.00 pizza👍 …
Ryan Rambo
Amazing food, quick service, the best crust around! A truly eXXXtreme experience! Eric was our server and he treated us like the Royal class that we are.

Really good pizza! Normal overpriced alcohol drinks. Guy at the register needs to smile a little more though. Glad we stopped here while in town.

Best pizza in Denver! Small place but great food. Highly recommend the Clam Pizza and the Cart Driver(add tomato sauce).

Absolutely delicious pizza, great salads, and OMF on tap. Hard to argue with that recipe!

if you’re a patient person, go for it. pizza takes forever to come out, seating is very limited

Probably one of the coolest concepts to have pizza and oysters in a 40 ft. shipping container unit. Well executed, well prices and great atmosphere. Does get a little crowded at high time.

The drinks and service were great! I'll be honest in my lack of ability to say much in regards to the food itself given my inexperienced oyster background and such, but the person accompanying me was enjoying them 🤷 …

What a great place and has a good food to eat. Their happy hour and reverse happy hour deals are amazing, especially for us industry folk at the end of the night. The place was great and worth to visit again.

Nice place for wood-fired pizza! Rustic feel to the restaurant with mixed-style service: order at the counter but get your food delivered to your table.

This place is too cool. The pizza was amazing and the beer selection was very impressive. Good place to grab some pizza and enjoy the atmosphere.
