First time that we have dined at this restaurant. Service was exceptional. The food in all four courses was absolutely fabulous. Presentation was just as good as the food. Wine list is phenomenal and they do a superb job of catering to your dining experience. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back.

I’d give 6 stars, if I could! We had the four course ‘tasting menu experience’ with the wine pairing. The flavors were out of this world; presentation was beautiful; and service was impeccable. Alix was extremely knowledgeable about the flavor pairings between each dish and wine and such a friendly server. This is my new favorite restaurant! Outstanding!

Excellent dining experience on all counts. Service was exceptional, with multiple staff members covering each table. The weekend fixed price menu with 4 tastings made it an epicurean delight. Every course was so well balanced, it is clearly the product of many years experience. It’s not Cherry Creek’s cheapest dining option, but it was well worth the time. Be sure to book early, as the desirable time slots fill up quickly. We were sure to make reservations two weeks before our trip. Enjoy!

Upon reading wonderful things about Barolo Grill in Wine Spectator Magazine, I decided to celebrate my 60th birthday here with a friend. This place is nothing short of amazing. Our server for the evening, Missy, was so pleasant, and well-versed with the menu, and wide selection of wines available. I really enjoyed interacting with her, and it enhanced my meal and the experience. Before our meals, we enjoyed a nice crisp glass of champagne that opened our palates, but also helped to set the mood. The motif of the restaurant is wonderful, and the noise level was low, allowing us to converse easily. We loved the four-course menu with wine pairings. Every single item was perfectly cooked, and presentation was divine. Thank you, I really enjoyed my experience at Barolo Grill.

This was my first time dining and it was an absolutely magical experience! Ryan Fletter the owner personally came up to the table to ask how our meal was (delightful btw) and see if we needed anything. My date said the cheesecake was the best dessert he has ever had at a restaurant. I agree. It was lovely! Come, enjoy the experience. Everything was amazing 🥲

Still, my favorite Italian restaurant in the Denver metro. Slow food. The service is prompt. But the process is fresh and intended for conversation. Try the pre-fix menu. Lots of choices, and the wine paring is excellent.

We did the five-course tasting menu tonight and I wouldn’t say we were underwhelmed but we were definitely just whelmed. Favorite thing we had was the this delicious salad with crab but everything else was just okay. It was very pricey but the food is often fancy in a way that doesn’t add to the flavor/texture/presentation of the food.

Very good for the price you pay, had the 4 course meal and enjoyed the experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable and gave wonderful service. The food was beautifully presented. I give 5 stars because of the awesome service and great atmosphere, but also because the cheesecake was the best cheesecake I have ever had! It is wonderful and a must have.

Another lovely night at barolo! We like doing their courses out meal and enjoy sitting next to the fire. Their wine list is amazing and their steps of service are wonderful. Highly recommend for date night or to impress a colleague

Everything about this place exceeded expectations. The food was top notch. The atmosphere was both homey and upscale which made for a warm, welcoming environment. The service was absolutely incredible. The entire staff made sure we were happy the whole evening. My [now] fiancee and I came here for an anniversary dinner (where I also proposed), and the staff did a great job of setting that stage for us. This has instantly become a favorite of ours, and we will be frequenting this restaurant!

Wow wow wow…did I say wow? I mean seriously-have not had food this good in years and I mean years! The service is superb. Alex took such great care of us, along with everyone there. Service, incredible food, flavors, quality of food was unbelievable. I would come here every day if I could. Best to get the 4 course because each plate is very small, but very filling with appearance, taste, and creation. Must not miss this place - just wow!

We had a wonderful, wonderful time at Barolo Grill tonight — in every single way. The reservation of a “bungalow” — heated, with such romantic lighting — made us feel safe going out in the ongoing pandemic, as did the masks on staff. The four-course tasting menu was just perfect, with choices for every course. The scallops with the carrot-raisin agrodolce, the goat cheese soufflé , the risottto, and the cheesecake were our favorites. In addition to the amazing food and the romantic setting in our private bungalow, we were so impressed with our server, Nick. His descriptions of dishes and wines — all from his memory— were poetic and accurate, and he was perfectly attentive (it’s fun that the bungalows have a little window for the server to slide open and check on people). It’s been nearly two years since we sat inside a restaurant, and tonight’s experience at Barolo’s was exquisite, worth every dollar. It was a magical evening. Thank you, everyone at Barolo.

I had a great experience with their four course tasting menu. Service was top notch. The issues I had was 1. the table we were sat at was cramped. We were right at the end of the dining area next to the bathroom ramp. It was a very tight walkway for servers to pass through, which made it an awkward, intimate experience each time. 2. Atmosphere. The interior is lacking a sense of modern design, feels dated. 3. Price. The food was good. For the price tag I had higher hopes, however. Especially with the cheesecake to finish the meal.

I needed a little TLC last week while moving and ordered take out here and the service and food was exceptional. I loved the Arctic char and the fungi pasta. I also got some roasted veggies and they were so delicious. It was refreshing to have some great Italian with wonderful customer service. Definitely recommend!!

I reserved a bungalow for my husband's 50th birthday. We were pleased to be seated promptly to wait for our friends even though we had arrived 20 minutes early with the idea of having a drink at the bar. The four of us enjoyed our experience immensely. The privacy of the climate controlled bungalow on a special night was delightful as was the food on all levels. The only criticism I have is that my halibut was under seasoned.

He knew the food, the wine, and the stories behind both. The gnocchi might be the best I've had. It popped with flavor and even gave a punch of heat. I highly recommend this place. My husband and I had a fantastic expierence here. We parked around the corner but they do have a small parking lot. When we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately. We ordered the Monte Cassino drink to start, I am not a Burbon fan but my husband love it and we look forward to attempting to make it at home. We received a delicious warm bread for starters. My husband complained there was no butter but I thought the olive oil showed throughout it and didn't need butter. When it came to the meal I ordered the wine pairing with mine which some of the pairings I didn't really get but that's most likely my lack of inexperience with wine. ‘Super’ caprese so delicious, I had a hard time getting the taste of balsamic through the pearls but presentation was 10/10. This was the wine that I believe came with it Rosato of Nebbiolo ‘Rusin’ Ioppa 2021 Piemonte this was a delicious wine however I did not feel as if there was much of a balsamic flavor from the dish for this wine to cut through it. Soufflé di formaggio was really good. I have a hard time eating gorgonzola but my husband loved the taste and fluffliness. Agnolotti di mais with the Langhe Chardonnay was delicious a great pairing. Rigatoni ai frutti di mare was delicious as well my husband and I are still expierementing with octopus so it was fun to try. On to my favorite dish, Maiale, omg I thought this dish was the most amazing the pork was like butter and the Brunello di Montalcino was delicious. My husband got the duck which was really good but I loved the pork - Bravo Barolo. Lastly for dessert my husband ordered the granite which he loved but we were so stuffed by this point it was hard to eat anything else. I ordered the mousse and there was some confusion with the wine because she brought out a d'asti but I asked her about it and she realized it was the wrong pairing and corrected it and brought out the Vin Santo, Badia di Morrona 2015 Toscana. This was a great pairing and as much as I liked this wine the 2021 Piemonte she brought out was so amazing I'm glad the mistake was made. :) So overall food was absolutely delicious and the service was even better. I already forgot her name but it was her first week and I would come back just to have her serve us again she was so polite and knowledgeable. We had a conversation about olives be abuse my husband hates them and I love them so she took the time to get us some olives to try which was just above and beyond for her to do. It made the expierence extra special.

This is our favorite restaurant in Denver by far! My boyfriend and I are both JWU graduates and in the industry and have been to Tavernetta and Fruition and they don't even compare (except in price lol). Our waiter this time was Missy and she was spectacular! It was a busy night but the staff did not miss a beat and were super attentive all night long. The food was delicious as always! We started with the carpaccio and crudo, every bit was heavenly. The crudo was paired with a ponzu sauce which has been a very popular ingredient this year and did not disappoint. We also got the risotto, seafood rigitoni, scallops, and beef tenderloin. Also super delicious as well! Would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves food as they never have let me down. The food is always the perfect amount of traditional structure with a hit of spice that takes it over the top. Hats off to the wonderful chefs and cooks at Barolo!

I had a nice time the service was really good from both the hostess and the waiter. The reason for 4 stars is the rigatoni frutti di mari was really cold and had nearly no seafood in it. The soufflé pairings were a bit overpowering with flavours. The mousse was really nothing special. Overall it was a good experience but def room for improvement for how pricey it is.

Where to start, I've never before been to a place such as this, we did the four course tasting menu and it was definitely way different fare than what I'm used to, but it was good and served in such a beautiful manner. Our server was so helpful in explaining what everything, and I mean EVERYTHING on this menu, was! It was definitely a high society experience.

Let us begin with the atmosphere. A splendid layout of properly set white clothed tables. My wife and I were greeted by a friendly hostess who showed ya right to our table. Our waitress, Carmen was incredible. She knew the menu inside and out. From garnish to ingredients to cooking methods. She recommended wine pairings that were spot on and made it her goal to make my wife and I feel like VIPs. The food was absolutely incredible. They offered a 3 course or a 5 course meal. We both chose the 5 course. Between the two of us we sampled 10 dishes including 2 desserts. Of the 10 dishes, 9 of them were absolutely phenomenal. The 10th was very good. Personal favorite was the risotto appetizer and the roast duck entree. My wife’s favorite was the prosciutto appetizer and the filet entree. We both absolutely loved the cheesecake and pana cotta desserts. Other highlights were the gnocchi and the truffle egg salad. Overall it was the best restaurant experience of my life. 5/5 stars because I can’t score them 6.

This restaurant is magical! My wife and I love the decor, the ambience, the service, and especially (of course) the food. From the appetizers to the desserts, every serving is perfection. The Barolo Grill is certainly one of Denver's finest restaurants. We recently spent the evening there to celebrate my daughter's engagement, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The food was wonderful. Every dish was both elegant and delicious. The servers were quite attentive, their timing was impeccable, and the ambience was perfect. We give the Barolo Grill our highest recommendation.

Update - 10/01/2022 - Had a great chat with the GM (I think?) and he explained some of the plating challenges with meat, particularly, versus pastas, etc. He said he'd send me something in the mail as a gesture, which I appreciated. Sure enough, it arrived (great) and when I opened it, I was a little take aback, and not in a good way - keep in mind that Barolo's "spendy" by most people's estimations. Given that I'd already had two full meals plus wine, and had issues with both of them, I thought I'd get one meal's equivalent comp'd....but apparently my business is not that important to them, which is fascinating and frankly, disappointing. The amount of the gift certificate/card was...wait for it...$50...heh, well, ok. The review stays at 3 stars and I have a renewed commitment to avoid eating there anytime soon, sadly. Barolo is a 5-star restaurant that seems intent on fumbling its way to three stars. Stellar service, stellar wine list, fantastic plating... But I've been twice in the last 6 months and BOTH times the kitchen refused to make the main course of port tenderloin or beef hot (enough). Why is this hard? Medium-rare pork or beef should be as hot as everything else on the plate - um, McDonald's can do this, other restaurants in Cherry Creek have discovered how to do this, but Barolo's kitchen digs in their heels when it comes to adequate main-course heating, at least in my limited experience. Given the potential for 5 stars and the price point, they get three stars for such an obvious deficiency. To be clear, I sent back the main course my last time and my server apologetically said that the kitchen was doing this on purpose (i.e., they thought it was the appropriate serving temperature). Um, no, it's not - this isn't just a case of "the customer is always right," this is simply strange. Barolo, fix this and I'm happy to give you 5 stars and recommend you to my friends and family in the Denver area. Otherwise, I will continue to mention this subpar experience to literally everyone who asks for a great Italian restaurant. Your front-of-house staff are killin' it and the food is almost perfect...super frustrating.

The food, staff, ambience, the food. The food. Did i mention how incredible the food is. I just did a 2 week trip in Italy eating pasta most if not each day. This was just as good. Wow. Stop reading this and just head over to Barolo Grill, you won't regret it. . Aside: make a reservation. Also, the food seems pricey but on pasta you can do half orders. We did that so we could have a few different types of pastas. Yum!

I went here for the NYE weekend prefix menu and it was worth every penny. What I really liked was that they had several options from each course to choose from. I am normally a picky eater but I cleaned off every plate that came my way. The wine pairing was also nice, I’m not normally a wine drinking but it elevated an already fantastic menu. The valet parking and cost check process was well done. They had our car ready to go out front by the time we walked out the door.

This is a high end, authentic, Italian Restaurant. The food is delicious and authentic Italian. When the Gnocchi is so flavorful that you want to lick the bowl; you know its great food. The pasta is hand made, the portions can be sized to smaller plates, a huge selection of wines. Very high end, environment was warm and cozy. Waiter was on point, informative and attentive.

I've been coming to Denver every few years and have been mostly disappointed with the restaurants. Barolo Grill is the best I've found. Their wine list is incredible and they are about to win a Wine Spectator award for that. I am of Italian heritage. My Italian mother would take us frequently to Tuscany where she is from. Barolo claims to go to Italy and bring back the food experience. Well, then why is all the food heavy? That isn't what I've experienced in Italy. Heavy cream sauces are more French than Italian. It's a good restaurant but I don't think this is Italian food. The homemade sorbetto is!

This was our first time at Barolo Grill. We really enjoyed the service and the food. The risotto was delicious and quite possibly my favorite dish of the night. The insalata d’inverno was amazing. I really enjoyed the caramelized brussel sprouts and the pickled cranberries in the salad. My husband had the insaltina fagiano and he said it was also delicious. The soufflé di formaggio was so rich and fluffy, it was a nice starting point to a fantastic dinner. My husband had Bistecca al barolo, and he said the beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection. I had the Barolo style braised duck, and really enjoyed its depth of flavor. Although, both my husband and I agreed that it’s more a refined palette dish. The capesante e baccalà looked appetizing, and our friend said that those were the best seared scallops she has had in Denver. She let me have a taste of the scallops, and I had to agree, the scallops were nice, buttery, and tender. We had an enjoyable evening with pleasant company and spectacular service. We definitely plan to enjoy many more meals at Barolo Grill.

I had a great dinner here. Their foie gras terrine was extremely smooth, and the nuts gave a nice accent to its texture. My favorite was the pork tenderloin; it was so moist, and the pear compote had a sweet and tangy flavor that complimented the pork well. My server was super attentive as well!

Regarding my reviews on Google Maps. Since Google doesn't provide any kind of guidelines on the expectations of what a 5 star rating requires or means that makes it difficult person to person to decipher what "good" or "great" is. Let alone that one persons 3 star rating is another's 5 star experience. That being said. I eat out a lot and at some pretty nice places. I've recently decided to review each place I eat and add pictures. I will comment on the things that are important to me for a restaurant or other establishment to have a high rating. For me the following are important when rating a restaurant. 1) Cleanliness overall including the bathrooms 2) Service and staff behavior 3) Food and beverage quality 4) Prices (I do not put a lot of emphasis on price if all other aspects meet my expectations I'm willing to pay) 5) Atmosphere (this is obviously in the eye of the beholder) I hope this makes my reviews more helpful and meaningful to all users . I've become somewhat of a regular at the Barolo Grill. I'm a regular due to the fantastic food, the over the top wine list (as noted by the awards they have won), and the absolutely top notch staff. Katie the bar manager makes a great cocktail and knows the food and wine very well. Katie makes eating at the bar a pleasure. Erin the sommelier will spend whatever time it takes to help with a wine choice. The wine list is quite a thing to behold. It has descriptions of each of the Italian wine districts with information on the vintners. I enjoy perusing it while sipping one of Katie's wonderful old fashioned's. Darrel the exec chef is a culinary genius. He comes up with new dishes all the time as well as keeping some of the favorite Barolo dishes available. With a menu set up for either multi-course choices, a chef tasting menu, or completely al a carte the customer is allowed to choose how much to eat and how much to spend. Make a reservation and don't miss the opportunity to try this place.

Barolo's food is so flavorful and well-balanced. I had the agnolotti pasta inspired by Mexican street corn, with sweet corn and cheese and it was INCREDIBLE. I am consistently so impressed by the new pastas here, and I have loved every single one. Also our server Storm was delightful! PS - I've noticed some reviews here saying how expensive it is, but you can order meals a-la-carte (you don't have to do the full tasting menu). We got drinks, an appetizer, a pasta each, and dessert and the bill was $100. You'd pay that at pretty much any Italian restaurant in Denver, but the food is best here :)

We had the four course tasting menu with the upscale wine parings. It was a meal I will remember for years. I second all of the five star food and service comments by others. I don’t know Italian wine but really enjoyed all of my parings. Each of the four in our party had different dishes each course and the pairings were special for each. I also liked the portion size, enough to enjoy but not stuffed. Save up, but it’s worth it.

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Denver and surrounding areas. They're food is top quality as well as their service. They tend to change their menu up, so it's difficult to recommend anything in particular. However, I recommend trying anything that the waiter recommends. Their pasta is fabulous, as well as their seafood selections. Not to mention, they have an incredible wine list. I'd highly recommend this spot for a date night, intimate night out with friends or even business dining. We've dined for all occasions and have yet to be disappointed.

My husband and I went here this past week for our anniversary and loved it! We had the 4 course dining experience and my husband also did the wine pairing. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff service was also amazing. The service was perfectly timed, which we knew meant they were being very attentive, and we never waited too long before our dishes were cleared and our next plate was brought our, but also never felt rushed. What really impressed us though was that they brought out complimentary homemade truffles and cute little cocktails to congratulate us on our anniversary. We had shared with our waitress that I was pregnant and looking at nonalcoholic beverages and she made sure my complimentary cocktail was a cute little "mocktail." One of my best restaurant experiences. The service was flawless. Our waiter was top notch. The guy was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, the served wine, the pairing. Took his time to explain the dishes. His recommendations were spot on. I went with the 4 courses tasting menu. The soufflé was light with alot of flavors and mix of textures aside. The agnolotti with pecorino and artichoke was excellent and the duck leg was impressively tender. Comes with perfectly roasted vegetables. The cheesecake desert was one of lightest yet tasty ever had. Overall, an excellent experience. Definitely highly recommended.

The service too was probably the best we have had in Denver..Elise was detailed and knowledgeable about the wine and food. This was an AMAZING experience with warm and cozy heated private spaces, Covid-safe, the 4 course meal was perfectly timed, and the quality of the food was world-class. A little disappointed. First of all , the cabana seating works really well. Private and both heat and AC were available to us. The fixed price menu on the weekend was tasty but overpriced. Supposed to be $85 per person. After we ordered what was offered, the price went up to $100 per person. Not sure why. What really got my attention was the surcharge of $6.00 for employees health insurance which was added right on the bill. Not acceptable. Our waiter was fabulous , but I am not paying for something I did not receive and not expected. Taking this restaurant off our list for future dining.

Barolo Grill is the 'bar' that we set for all restaurants. It is truly the best restaurant that we have ever eaten at in all of the United States. The Italian food is authentic and delicious and the sommelier knows her stuff. We celebrated our 15-year anniversary at Barolo last night and were treated special, as always. It is quite pricey but worth it for special occasions.

I've enjoyed Barolo Grill twice, once with a colleague and once with a friend. Barolo has perfect energy, just noisy enough to know that other diners are having a good time, but not too noisy to enjoy a quiet conversation. I checked Barolo's website and it looks like they've added a prix fixe menu. It looks like it could be an excellent value Will have to check it out. Wine Spectator has listed Barolo among its best wine restaurants in the nation. Barolo has a high price tag, so I expect the meal to be perfect. I recall a grilled octopus dish that was monochromatic in flavor, and a veal dish that was tough. The rest of the meal was outstanding, and my guests both enjoyed their meals. The appetizers and desserts were amazing. What I find humorous is that Barolo employees have the time to argue with less than 5-star Google reviews. We're not professionals. We give our take on how our meal went. We all check reviews from several Google reviewers before making decisions. You'd spend your time better working to develop the best possible flavors in your food.

They had the wine we had from Tuscany, that was fantastic. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and they were so polite and accommodating. Caitlin, the reservation and event manager was very attentive with the changes for my reservation. Service was great, the food and wine brought us back to our honeymoon in Italy. Thank you.

The food was phenomenal, but this rating is all about their "outdoor" dining area. Despite sub-freezing temperatures they were still able to deliver a first class dining experience. We loved the privacy of the bungalows and appreciated the climate control. We brought our own blanket and were plenty warm. Artwork was hanging on the walls and the floor (aka the sidewalk) donned a rug that gave it a homey vibe. It was quite an expensive meal to be eaten outside in negative-digit temperature, but they made it a night we'll never forget. Did I mention the food was amazing?

We had a party of eight, which they split us up into two tables because of regulations. It was fine, they accommodated us by putting the two tables near one another. The food, OMG the food was amazing. Coming from NJ, know for it's fine Italian restaurants, I never expected to find this quality in Denver. Amazing, simply amazing and the portion sizes were perfect. A shout out to our server who helped us with the wine selections, excellent choices which complimented the dinner perfectly. Barolo Grill was previously my favorite top-tier restaurant in the Front Range. My experiences there—as recently as January 2020—were always exceptional. However, this January 2021 was a different experience. Sure, the wait staff and ambience were as perfect as usual, but the food was quite disappointing. Over-salted and fishy smelling scallops, under-salted al dente pasta, uninspired salads, etc. Literally every dish was disappointing. Off night? Perhaps. But a restaurant of this caliber and history shouldn't have a stumble.

We were greeted warmly by Olivia, who helped us to find our hotel. All the staff at this restaurant were so welcoming that we ate there both nights of our stay. The garlic bread was delicious, as were the burgers and short ribs. Even though it was mid-week in February, the restaurant was busy. The sunset was spectacular and could be seen from the picture window as we ate. I would love to go back there one day.

Not everything was a hit but overall, very satisfied. Lobster salad was fantastic, scallop pasta was pretty good, lamb was excellent, and dessert was fun and very tasty. My friend had tuna appetizer and it was quite bland. Her mushroom rice dish was good, and her tenderloin was perfectly cooked but lacked a bit of flavor. Pricey but I doubt you'll be disappointed.

We made a reservation for Barolo Grill based off of the recommendations of multiple websites for the best Italian food in the metro area of Denver. I would have to say that you would not be disappointed in eating here even though they are running a limited menu due to Covid. We opted for a bottle of wine and the five course tasting menu ordering 10 different items shared between my wife and I. Some of the highlights of the meal were the 24 month aged prosciutto and melon, The beef tenderloin upgrade was worth every penny, The egg salad with six minute egg and truffles was my wife’s favorite dish of the evening. We both agreed that the slow braised duck was the star of the night. The service was impeccable never wanting for anything. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about not only the menu but also the wine list she was able to answer all of our questions in an educated manner giving us confidence in our choices that we ordered. The assistant waste half were on time at clearing plates but not hovering adding the right amount of service to the right amount of privacy. I have to give kudos to our waitress who had two extremely demanding tables that couldn’t understand the concept of a tasting menu and had ridiculous requests about the food and it’s preparation. She handled it with professionalism and courtesy and poise. Back to the food five stars go to the kitchen there wasn’t a single item on the tasting menu that was not memorable I listed a few only for the sake of time. If you’re looking for a romantic authentic taste of Italy look no farther.

We were visiting son who was living in Denver this summer. We definitely wanted to treat him to some nice meals. BG was fabulous! Beautiful atmosphere and great waitstaff. We never felt rushed and that was very nice. Hubby and son shared the fried seafood app and I had the delicious, so fresh lobster salad. When I asked about pasta portions, our server explained that you could really get them in 3 sizes, depending on if you wanted a taste or to share or the try a couple of different dishes. Son ordered gnocchi and the 3 cheese ravioli in medium which he loved. We also ordered a rabbit pasta in medium so we could all taste it (yummy bunny!). The wine list is very big and fairly pricey, so be forewarned. That said, we did have a couple of glasses and then ordered a bottle for dinner. Son had a couple of ciders that he hadn't had before and enjoyed them. Couldn't have asked for a better evening and we will be back in November on our next trip to Denver.

I had been looking for a nice spot to celebrate our anniversary. Barolo kept popping up in my research, and I figured it was time to give it a try. I'm glad we did! We had reservations and were promptly seated. The menus (food and wine) were both very appealing. My wife and I both decided to go with the tasting menu (and accompanying wine pairings) to get a good feel for the restaurant's offerings and chef's style. We were very impressed. The menu changes, depending on what is seasonal, but the listed 5 courses and wines were absolutely delightful. Two additional food items and an additional wine were also brought to the table, making us pleasantly filled. The service was fantastic, with our primary server (Esther) taking excellent care of us with a wonderful presentation of each dish and wine. The other servers who assisted bringing out each dish were also knowledgeable and friendly. The ambiance was cozy and friendly, and though it was a fine dining experience, it did not have the pretentious airs one might expect given the price level. When I go out for a fine dining experience, this is exactly what I am looking to find. I am prepared to spend a larger amount of money and expect a top-notch product in return, but I want it done in a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. My wife and I want to know the names of all of our servers and have friendly conversation with them as we experience our dinner. Barolo Grill most certainly provided the exact experience we sought, and I will absolutely recommend it and patronize again in the future!

I love how they are allowing their guest to choose a 3 course or 5 course meal with wine pairing. The wine pairing was spot on and our compliments go out to the chef and wine sommelier! Truly outstanding. We had the 4 course weekend menu with wine pairing. Everything we got, food wise was exceptional. High points were the lump crab/cucumber/pickled jicama, the ramp pasta, and the bistec/filet. Oh, and the mascarpone cheesecake. The wine pairing was unparalleled with each entre. We spoke to the sommelier as well for additional recommendations and she could not be more insightful and on point. It truly made the dining experience over the too special. We tried a 1999 Barolo with the duck which was a wildly delicious and intriguing match.

On top of that Adam the manager stopped by our table to introduce himself just to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I thought it was a nice touch he also found out it was a special night for my wife and I so he through in a special desert on the house. The cheesecake is amazing but I must say everything I had was great and well presented. This would be a great place to take a date or someone for a special evening. It is impressive. Also I know parking can be a worry in that area but they have valet at the front door. I suggest using it. I recommend Barolo grill to anyone.

I seen online there was vegan options and since I have dairy and and egg allergies I thought it would be a good choice I even called and asked. I missed out on a lot of the food because there wasn't a lot of accommodations for allergies. I didn't get as much food options and missed out on some things like the bread. Very good service and impressive wine program. Nice ambiance and decor. Has all the bones of exceptional fine dining however I was disappointed with the food. The dishes were very good - comparable to my experiences at a standard four seasons restaurant - simply they left me feeling lacking in passion, exceptional flavor, or a impression that they took any daring choices. I can see why this place was filled with parent/adult children dinners, anniversaries, and dates. I'd suggest losing the fixed menu or providing a very limited one - as is it set an expectation for me of a very different experience more aligned with the 50-70+ michilen star restaurants I've eaten at.

We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. My only disappointment was that my husband made the reservation at least 2-3 months ago and we were seated in a dark corner next to a fire escape door almost behind the fireplace. He mentioned that it was my birthday when he made the reservation as well as when they called the day before to confirm. It was a little disappointing that they forgot to acknowledge my special day too.

Everything from the valet to the final bite of food was fantastic. Friendly and amazing staff all around. The only Italian food I've ever had better was literally in Italy and it wasn't by much. The food was spot on, presentation, seasoning, serving size, perfectly cooked. Steve took excellent care of us the entire night. The rest of the staff did an excellent job as well, right down to the coat check and valet as we left the restaurant. While it is pricey it was worth every danged penny. Cannot wait to go back!

Fun, fancy night out. Our waiter (Shawn/Sean) was helpful with the wonderfully overwhelming wine list and helped us choose a nice bottle. The wine list itself is so huge and fun to look through, but we were surprised to see the lack of options in pricing. Like, 95% of it appeared to be over $200, very few options under $100. It made the $55 wine pairing on the chefs menu seem like a steal! The food was delicious, and interesting, which I appreciate for a high end Italian place. I look forward to returning, maybe to a seat at the bar for a secondi and a glass of wine.

The absolute finest Italian dining I’ve experienced! We did the chef tasting menu, and had a chance to sample many different items here, with each being exquisite. It’s located in a nice, friendly neighborhood in the middle of Denver, giving more of a local feel to it. The building is so fancy and the service was amazing, and did a superb job of describing each meal, and giving the chef’s notes on each item. My girlfriend and I usually try not to go to the same restaurant twice, but we might make an exception for Barolo the next time we’re in Denver.

We went into this experience (not dinner, and experience) totally blind. We had never heard about them, and on a whim decided to try. SO glad we did. First off, our waiter was both waiter and sommelier. They shut down the entire restaurant for a couple weeks each year to go to Italy and take the entire staff to go learn about what is happening in wine making. Our waiter's knowledge about varying types of wine was incredible - we told him what types of wine we liked, and he instantly pointed us in the right direction on their massive wine list (seriously, it's like 250 pages). The food was just as good; we unfortunately had to rush out to make a show so we can't speak for dessert, but you cannot go wrong with any of their pasta. They emphasize the pasta and not the sauce, which was really amazing. TL;DR - highly recommend for date night, special occasions and the like. Be ready to drop some cash, but unlike other restaurants, it is 100% worth it.

I had been looking forward to dining here for a very long time, having grown up in Denver. Unfortunately I was disappointed. We were there on Valentine's so maybe they were overwhelmed but the food was very average and some of the flavor combinations were out of balance or just not good - think cardamom, carrot, and octopus. The service was great but for the (not insignificant) amount of money spent it was not worth it. Sorry to say we will probably not be back.

We were at a high end party where our hosts took the entire restaurant and ordered dinner for us. It was FABULOUS and the owner spoke to explain his point of view. Open 5 nights/week so staff is always the same. Closed for 2 weeks and takes 10 staff members for an eating tour of Italy each year. Very high end foods in an upscale but casual setting. We started with a souffle then a gorgeous salad. I chose duck that the owner said had been on the menu from the start. Dale had Halibut. Both were excellent and beautifully served. For dessert I had flan. Wines were paired and everyone said they were great (I don't drink alcohol) In all, a terrific evening. When we're next in Denver we'll return

She was amazing, and my main reason for posting this review. She is humble, knowledgeable, warm, and really fantastic at her job. The service industry is not an easy place to thrive and in the two and a half years we've been dining out in Denver, this has hands down been the best experience I've had. Thank you to the team at Barolo Grill for a fantastic meal on Thursday night. Apparently the menu is limited due to covid, but we found lots of delicious choices on the menu. The staff were super accomodating - we had a private dining room as there were four of us with a newborn in a buggy. Two of us had the 3 course menu, and the other 2 the 5 course, so we could all enjoy antipasto and deserts. It was a special occasion and the staff at Barolo Grill made sure it was super special for us all.

Not to mention she continues to argue until the manager steps in. He was very pleasant and found our reservations. After that nonsense,we were seated and ordered the tasting meal. was under the impression that it was going to satisfy my husband after being told she was absolutely sure he won't be hungry after. Well not the case at all!!! However the service was good and the "little" portions of food we did receive was pretty awesome!!! overall experience was okay,would have been better had the RUDE hostess had better customer service... As well as my husband leaving still hungry after $210 Bill for 2 and absolutely No alcohol just water and a side of cranberry juice. so a little disappointed with that amount and still hungry!!!

We had an amazing experience from arrival to departure. I had the goat cheese souffle and the lamb, both were decadent and wonderful. My boyfriend had the veal crudo and the duck. We shared the creme brulee to finish. I can't recall how many times I laughed with joy at how perfect everything was.
